Spinning Object hovering and then moving in different directions before disappearing

Driving from Beacon New York to Cold Spring New York. Beautiful day - blue sky with white puffy clouds. I saw what at first I thought was a mylar balloon fly above my vehicle in the sky It was above the trees but way below the clouds. As I watched it I realized that it was spinning fast but moving at a slow speed from right to left. South to North. As it rotated it would disappear and then reappear in the same spot. Almost like 2 of the sides were clear. It was taller than it was wide.It was very shiny silver but not ordinary silver… it had black mixed with it - like liquid Mercury. It began to move slowly North and higher elevation.Then disappeared and reappeared in a different spot more Southern and lower in the sky. It then quickly flew in a straight line North and disappeared completely.

Coming down I - 87 highway my brother in law pointed out the lights in the sky but we noticed they were spinning. Whatever it was took off so fast and so weird how it went higher. Looked like a triangle with a circle of lights under it. My brother in laws seen it, I seen it and my friend seen it. Like sober, thought that shit was just in the movies please be careful out there. Something’s out there

While driving home from work I saw six very bright lights to my right and then a boomerang shaped craft was directly over my car.

Boomerang shaped silent craft was directly over my car. There were no lights at this point but I saw a beautiful blue colored design on the left side of the craft. I kept watching it and the next thing I knew I was pulling into a gas station on the right. I drove home after going into the store and filed a report with Mufon when I got home. My report was followed up with Mufon and I was told that it was an optical illusion due to the lights at the gas station. I drove that road for over a year every night leaving work and never had an experience like that.

I was looking at the stars as I always do out of the drivers side with my two friends and when I finally noticed the aircraft

It was almost invisible I was looking at the stars and didn’t notice until my brain registered that there was an object as beacon as mount beacon there but i couldn’t fully grasp the object and by the time I tried to get the words out to my friends in went straight to space with a yellow line following it all the way until my eye could no long follow this happened all in the matter of 1 second me realizing two me trying to say something and 3 me following it straight through the atmosphere .

Flashing, multicolor lights seen over Mount Beacon

I was walking into my kitchen in the dark and noticed an unusually bright light in the sky hovering directly over Mount Beacon. The round white light seemed to touch down on the crest of the mountain to the right side.

As I watched, a series of smaller multicolor lights (red, blue, and orange) began showing and moving around the larger white light. This went on for over an hour, with the lights growing MUCH larger, moving, dancing, and finally disappearing.

This is the second time that I have noticed unusual lights in this specific spot on the mountain, and found your site while researching what they might be.

Just moved to Beacon a month ago and have a clear view of the entire mountain.

There's definitely something happening there. The lights were completely different between the first and second sightings.

I have been living in Beacon for about 4 months now and have never seen anything fly that low.

I couldn't make out the shape of the aircraft but the lights were in a cross shape, red and white light and some were blinking.

It was flying east to west, about 5 or 6 lights on the front and two or three on the back.

No noise whatsoever.

Huge and hanging right over the bridge entrance

I didn’t want to be the first person to talk about this sighting so I’ve been scanning the net for the last 2 months hoping someone else would post about it. This kind of thing makes you doubt your own sanity.

I was driving east on 84 headed towards Connecticut, about 5 miles back before the bridge, I had seen something strange. It almost looked like a derby hat hanging (I know goofy but that’s what it reminded me of) in the sky but from a “straight’ on perspective. I could see the bulge in the middle and then what sort of looked like a brim sticking out at the sides. It was weird but I was doing 75 mph and it quickly passed in and out of my field of vision because of mountains and hills that the road cuts through. By the time I got to the Bridge itself I had forgotten all about it. As the highway bears right, just when you’re approaching the bridge, I came around that bend and there in the Sky right above the highway was a massive object, I mean huge in relation to the bridge and the skyline behind it. I couldn’t just slam on the brakes because I was in traffic but I looked up as I went underneath it and it looked to me to be almost Diamond shaped and a matte gray, as I passed fr! om underneath I flipped up my rearview to see if I could see it more, but it was gone.. This all transpired in about 30 seconds. I know I wasn’t hallucinating because I looked around to see if anyone else was looking and the people in the cars around me were also looking up and then back at the road.

When I got to the Toll collector I asked her if she had seen it and she said “I finally saw one” she was beaming.. I asked her again because this is a very surreal experience, even for someone like me that has always wanted to see one. And she confirmed that it sort of came from nowhere and then just as suddenly disappeared. The weirdest thing about it, it looked aquatic almost like a manta ray and had 2 black circles underneath that looked empty just black holes. It was completely still and silent, and really freaked me out... I wondered if it wasn’t a military craft as there’s a base close and it was that color, but the woman at the toll booth seemed pretty positive it was a UFO. I tried to snap a pic but all I got was the roofline of my car.

Hovering Triangle in Beacon New York

I was driving on the Newburgh-Beacon bridge towards Beacon, when I noticed a strange object at about 10 o'clock to where I was at first (position wise). What caught my eye at first were the lights, just positioned differently than on a normal plane's. It was also lower than where most planes fly around the area, quite low in fact.

As I approached the toll booth I noticed that it was in the same place it had been while I was on the bridge, hovering in place. As I waited to pay the toll I stared up at it, simply floating in place.

Once I got through the toll, I went to turn around so I could try to get a video of it on my phone (since I didn't want to take one going through the toll and get a ticket), but by then it had vanished.

It was triangular, and not much bigger than a small passenger plane.

Lasted around 1 minute, and made no noise.

As I steped outside to the front of my house I saw what I thought was the radio tower of the mountain(Beacon MT.) it started to move slightly, then thought it was a helicopter. I saw a plain from a distance heading toward this object and it moved back in the air quite a distance above the plane as the plane headed toward it's direction. It then stayed above hovering I tried to look through binoculars on a steady point and this object just kept on moving around and I am unable to get a clear look, this is going on as I type this note

Light in the sky zigzagging followed by fighter jets

Posting this more or less than 19 years later. Dates are fuzzy but I remember the event like it was yesterday.

3 friends and I were jumping on a trampoline late at night 10-11pm on a clear summer night. We stopped because we all got tired, and started to stare at the beautiful night sky not a cloud anywhere. After a while of nothing but stars and some satellites….All of us at the same time noticed a “star” start moving. It looked exactly like a normal star, but it was moving slowly from left to right. After we all started talking about what we were seeing out loud, it was like it heard us. The “star” started moving faster and then zig zagged extremely fast! The craft did about 5-6 zig zags and took off out of sight completely like it hit warp speed or something! We all looked at each other stunned! Not even a few moments later a formation of fighter jets flew by at full speed(goose bumps as I type this). To this day I have never seen fighter jets in Beacon, NY and I’m born/raised. They saw something on the radar and we saw it with our naked eye! I was in the military and built fighter jets, I have never seen anything like that in my life since. Something is out there, and I’ve always believed.

Looked like a Star or lightly glowing ball of light
