Two lights climbing, descending, and changing direction rapidly

I was the pilot of a flight over the area of Ithaca New York at 28,000ft. Another pilot was talking about strange lights on the radio.

I began seeing a single white/pale yellow light at 12 o clock at around 40,000ft at very long range. The other aircraft who was behind us at a higher altitude on the same route reported two lights, one estimated at 80,000ft.

The light tracked North at a high rate of speed before dimming, disappearing briefly, then reappearing tracking South. This was reported to ATC who asked further details and began requesting reports from other pilots in the area. Several other aircraft reported the lights.

The aircraft behind us reported 5 lights moving in varying patterns, including orbiting each other. He began reporting them as primarily white, but that he had also seen it as red and purple.

As we descended into Toronto, one of the lights appeared to be below us. I have seen these lights on other occasions, but never have seen one appear below us. It rapidly climbed from approximately 20,000ft to 40,000ft in about 5 seconds.

This was corroborated by my first officer and by the other pilot on the radio.

As we approached Toronto, one of the lights became extremely bright. It was the brightest object in the sky, with a much dimmer light 30 miles or so further North. Arrival control reported that there was nothing on radar to the West of the airport.

Right at that time part of our lights went out in the house.... Not all, Just in the living room; the tv went dark.

We saw the craft lit up, above Danby Road, looking from the west side of Danby Rd. toward the east. The object hovers on the same spot 8 minutes after we spotted it.

It may be a star, but does not look exactly like one. It hangs just south of Longview Senior Center and Ithaca College The shap looks linear, but that may be because of the light beams, just like a star.

It is not moving from its spot, so maybe just a star. Not obscured though, by the clouds.

This evening I attended a drive in movie featuring back to the future 2. Approximately an hour or so into the movie my eyes wondered into the sky and that is when I noticed the anomaly. The best way I can describe what I saw was a diamond shape configuration of lights going from a diamond shape to a flat line in a way that I would describe as similar to a jellyfish. It looked somewhat like it was swimming I would say. Another observation that I had about what I saw was that the anomaly seemed to have a path of trajectory but it did not stay on one fixed axis. In other words, it was going up, down, left and, right freely. I can’t identify what it was that I saw but I know that what I saw was real.

A red sphere, a diameter of about five feet, zoomed from the horizon to 10 to 20 feet above me, where it hovered for almost a minute,

As I stepped outside, facing south, the sky was clear and I could identify many of the constellations in the northern hemisphere. The waning crescent moon had yet to rise. It was hot and muggy.

I identified Antares, the red dwarf at the heart of Cor Scorpius on the southern horizon, But then I squinted. it could not be Antares because it was moving laterally, So, for a moment I assumed this was the port light of an airplane.

Then, in the space of two seconds, the “plane” travelled approximately ten miles, from the horizon to right over my head, where it hovered, a red sphere. It was like an enormous basketball, and I could see torsions of energy coming from it toward me. I had been in a horrible mood… and suddenly I felt full of joy, I put my hand on my heart, astonished at my gratitude. At that point, it did not speed off… it gently exited stage right until I could not see it. I went back in the house, amazed.

I felt no need to tell the other party goers or to try convince others this happened. I was 44 years old, an English teacher, and I didn’t care if anyone believes me… I am just as hesitant as most to report such things, but it is my truth. Is it possible I had a psychotic episode? Well, , since no one else saw it, yes, But I was the only person outside,

To whomever reads this: Thank you. I hope that even if you are skeptical about this report, just know it was real to - ME. . It is almost like a religious experience….it only means something to the person it happened to. I’m my case, it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life,

A 1 or 2 ft. glowing green sphere traveled alongside my car for 2 minutes, about 6 to 10 ft. from my car window, then landed in woods.

I was driving home around midnight from Ithaca, NY to my home 10 miles south of Ithaca. The road, Rt. 34/96, has very little traffic on it at night and there were no cars or others near me during the incident. About 2 minutes before I got to my left turn, I saw a 1 to 2 foot diameter light green glowing sphere to my left, out my driver side window. It was between 6 to 10 feet from my car and was at the height of my car window traveling in a straight line next to me and at the same speed as my car, so it was pacing me. I wondered if it was some kind of reflection (even though it didn’t look like one). I started to move my body around and then to move the car around (weaving a bit) to see if the “reflection” would change, then I put my hand over various parts of my window and windshield to see if I could “block” the reflection. I also looked outside for sources of light in the environment. None of these things changed how it looked or its steady movement along the side of my car. Then while I was still traveling straight ahead but just before I was about to turn left onto my road, the sphere proceeded ahead of my car and went down into a brushy area in the woods to the left, just beyond where I was about to turn. The brush was thick and I could no longer see the sphere or any light coming from it. I was too afraid to stop and investigate further. I quickly drove home. (I recently decided to report this incident after Stan Gordon, a UFO researcher, told me that in PA there had recently been an increasing number of low to the ground glowing spherical UFO sightings of up to 2 feet in diameter. At approximately 7pm, i witnessed and recorded what most people's perception would see a plane due to what they are thought to believe and also due to the angle they fly in and the arrangement of their blurry multicolored brighter than normal lights creating an almost ultraviolet shadowing on the crafts at night that looks like the shape of a passenger airplane at first glance bus u have to look past the lights and the craft is very visible. I've seen several types and i know I've been noticed so that's why im using this as my lig from here on out even though its obvious that the sight is nsa owned. the video will go to the media.

this was seen near Tompkins county airport flying in the same flight pattern as allot of incoming plane's.

Saw a cluster of 5-6 lights, fading in and out, slowly moving within proximity to each other but also moving as a pack.

I am writing this on Thursday, November 10th, regarding a strange occurrence I witness Saturday, November 5th, between roughly 9:45 and 10:15 and again, briefly, on Sunday, November 11th.

Last Saturday, my wife and I were getting ready to watch a movie. As she normally does when we watch a movie, my wife began making popcorn. I went outside to walk around. This last summer I purchased a FitBit (pedometer) and I sometimes walk up and down our long driveway to meet my step count goal. We live just outside the city, on the margins of town, so while we are not completely in the country we usually have a clear view, if it is not too cloudy, of the sky.

On this Saturday night, many of the constellations were out, it was so clear. Pacing back and forth on my driveway, listening to a podcast on my phone, with my earbuds in, I was struck by a set of, what appeared to be, constellations roughly 30 degrees north east of our location. This pattern of what I presumed to be stars were among the lowest and closest to Earth of all the stars in the sky.

What struck me upon given these “stars” a second look was that they were fading and reappearing with increments of maybe 3-5 second. Had it only been one light doing this, I would have quickly assumed it was a satellite, but this appeared different because satellites are never clustered. There were five, possibly six, of these lights, fading in and out of visibility, out of sync with one another. There was no specific clear pattern or shape to them, although they were spread out from each other in what looked like a skewed pentagon (like a small child attempting to draw a pentagon). One of the lights was somewhat more central to the others and the fading in and out appeared a second slower than the others, although it was hard to tell because, again, they were out of sync.

Staring at this with some disbelief, I moved into the road for a clearer view. There was a large tree in the distance which I was using to gage the location and movement of this cluster. No movement was visible to the eye, but after about ten minutes I could see that this cluster had indeed moved northbound and lower toward the ground. Using my phone, I called my wife inside the house and asked her to please come outside to look at something.

When my wife walked outside the door, I flagged for her to come over toward the road. I pointed to the cluster saying, “there is a cluster of what looks like stars over there”, while pointing vaguely toward their direction. I stopped myself, however, realizing this might plant a seed in her mind of what I wanted her to see. I wanted her view to be as objective as possible. My wife is much more of a skeptic than myself. She almost immediately noticed what it was I was talking about. She, too, found it very curious and unusual. Assuming there was probably an explanation, quickly getting cold (the temperature was in the lower-to-mid 30s), and hungry for popcorn, my wife, after a couple of minutes, went inside. I stayed a few minutes longer, so that I could store in my memory what I was seeing.

After watching the movie, which I had trouble focusing on at first, I popped back outside to see if I’d notice anything else unusual. By this point, the sky had become so foggy that no stars or anything else were visible.

I would have written this experience closer to the date it occurred, but having a 2-year-old, being a teacher, and on the cusp of an election, I had not found time to sit and write this until now.

It is worth noting that the next night I did go out to observe. I noticed one light, slightly stronger than any I’d seen the previous night similarly fading in and out. On this night, unlike the night before, I was intoxicated and became anxious and panicked pretty quickly, so I only looked long enough (30-60 seconds) to confirm with myself what I was seeing, but otherwise went back inside rather abruptly.

I have always had a long interest in UFOs and stories of encounters, so I am very familiar with phenomenon stories, though, prior to this, had none of my own. Knowing that I am prone to believe such events, it was important to me to get confirmation from my wife that the pattern I observed was both real and unusual. She agreed. Even this morning, when I told my wife I would document my experience, she again confirmed for me that this pattern was uncanny. Additionally, several dogs in the neighborhood were barking or howling. Also worth noting is that the pattern I witness was placed, more or less, over the vicinity of our local airport.

Star-like bright-white UFO over Ithaca, NY in June 2013.

I and two friends were camping at a location a few miles east northeast of Ithaca, NY. We were walking across a small meadow to our camping area when we paused to look up at the stars as it was a clear night and had been cloudy and rainy of late. We were discussing the relative visibility and general appearance of satellites versus planes – similarities and differences, when my friend pointed and said something to the effect of, “now WHAT is that?” We all then watched a very bright light moving at a relatively slow speed, a speed which would not have seemed unreasonable for conventional aircraft. And we were in fact near a small airport. Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport was due northwest of our location about two miles. However, several things about this light did not reconcile with what any of us could consider conventional. As I said, we were near an airport and every night would see planes coming and going – most often travelling from east to west or west to east relative to our position. In fact there was at least one visible in another part of the sky at the time which gave us something to compare the object to. The strange light appeared above the trees due south of our position and it travelled in an arc that was mostly north and a little bit east when it eventually fell out of view against the treeline.

The first odd thing about it was the light. Rather than any blinking light or combination of red, green, yellowish, etc. it was bright white light. I would say it was about as bright as Jupiter when Jupiter is super bright. Maybe a little more intense than that. In other words, the object was brighter than any star in the sky but not enormous and blinding. It did not blink or quaver, but rather was continuously bright as it travelled. There were no other color lights as there often are on aircraft. Just one bright light, far brighter than any other aircraft.

Sound: the brightness of the light would have only seemed reasonable if the object were fairly close to us yet we heard no sound at all.

Flight path: as I said, the path was roughly south to north from an area that would have taken it over Fall Creek, Lower Creek Rd, and then northward disappearing from our vantage point as it headed toward Etna Rd. The speed, as I said, was not unusual, but the deviations from a straight line were peculiar. It followed the general path I just described but at times would “squiggle” for lack of a better word, in a way that would be wildly impossible for any conventional aircraft. I don’t know how to estimate the scale of these sudden, rapid movements. They were not large or all over the sky, but rather just as if the object were like a needle on a record or seismograph and it was bumped…it would squiggle off the path and then back on again. Another way to describe it would be to say that the object was capable of “jumping” from side to side and back again…not like floating and moving but just an occasional and erratic jump through space from one location to another (whether t! he space was covered represented 30 feet or 30 yards, I don’t know as I don’t know how far away the object was or how big) instantaneously. Each time it happened, one of the three of us would say to the others, “did you all just see that? Are we really seeing this?” So we were confirmed in knowing that we were not “imagining” what clearly was out of the ordinary. One of the witnesses was a Veteran who has spent time around all manner of aircraft, and he was quite sure he knew of nothing which could perform the “stunts” that we were seeing.

The path of travel that we could observe (which was limited due to the treeline surrounding the small meadow) probably took about 3 to 5 minutes. As it disappeared behind the trees we all debriefed and were pretty agreed that we had no logical explanation (despite the nearby small airport) for what we had seen. A few nights later (maybe 3 or 5 nights later?) two of the three of us were again in a slightly different spot at the campground, and we saw the same phenomena again. However the available viewable sky from our vantage point was very small so we could only track it for about 30 seconds, though it was very similar and travelling a similar north/northeastern trajectory.

Regarding animals: I am not suggesting a correlation, but for what its worth I heard coyotes howling and "carrying on" that night (it was the first and only time in my four weeks that heard them) probably 20 minutes or so after the sighting.

I would note that two of the three of us were camped in that location for four weeks, as we were part of a wilderness skills program. So we were quite familiar and acclimated to the local sights and sounds, including the typical airport traffic and patterns.

Hello, I am a senior at Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York. While out on the patio of my friends apartment I looked up and for about 4 or 5 seconds saw a very large football field shaped object that looked fiery in form. Its colors mixed between orange, red, and white. It levitated high in the sky miles between Lake Cayuga and Cornell University and over route 13. It appeared out of nowhere and was still for a moment, it zipped straight down, hovered, and sped off leaving a light trail.

I am in shock and awe.

I was on the second floor patio of my friends apartment that has a clear view of the night sky over the tip of Lake Cayuga, route 13, and the Cornell campus.

I looked up and for about 4 or 5 seconds and saw what I can only describe as a shifting, very large object that looked like it was on fire with no specific pattern.

Its colors mixed between orange, red, and white. It levitated high in the sky between Lake Cayuga and Cornell University and over route 13.

It appeared out of nowhere and was still for a moment, it zipped down south, hovered, and sped off faster than anything I'd ever seen. All in this short amount of time. It was so massive in size I could only stand and stare in wonder in a state of shock and awe.

Was traveling southerly down HGY 13 toward Ithaca about a mile out of town. A craft at high altitude was approaching from the southwest, then it began to slow and finally stopped.

It then almost reversed direction and went straight south and disappeared near the moon. It looked to be little smaller than the size of a pea at arms length and was brighter than the moon. It appeared to have the color of something on fire: reddish orange and white.

It sporadically flashed the reddish - orange light and occasionally a white flash or two. It never repeated the pattern.

One big V shaped object blinking white, red and blue at a stand still with random movements - multiple objects as well.

My girlfriend and I were taking our dogs out to use the bathroom when we noticed a couple of strange things in the sky. There were 2 medium sized bright white lights sitting in low points in the sky, multiple (at least 4) very small red flashing lights that would fly around those points (one shooting straight up into the sky very fast, one circled around one of those points, one shot to the right and we could not see it anymore, and the other one randomly flying beside the points) There was one considerably bigger bright light that would flash from white to red to blue. That one was in the shape of a V, the others were too small to tell but if I had to guess I would say they were circular. The V shaped object would orbit and would sit in this one point in the sky while randomly moving either side to side or up and down. It would be still, then move side to side, then be still, then move again, and so on and so forth.

We sat and watched this for a little over an hour until going inside. There were stars out, however those were definitely not stars considering they moved. We are unsure if perhaps they are some sort of low flying government sattelites or possibly UFO's.

Definitely going to check again tonight and will report again if we see anything, we also took a 3 minute video of it. The weird part is that in the video it seems farther than it was when we were looking at it and the colors seem more apparent. I doubt a plane would sit still for that long.....The V shaped object is the only one you can see in the video also.

spherical bright light, radiating red, green and white colors, stationary in eastern horizon, then slowly moving south

Around 7pm Monday 11/06 my mom noticed a bright light in the eastern horizon at about 45 degrees. It seemed to remain in the same location for about 10 minutes. I came home and she told me to take a look at this. I got binoculars and saw a sphere shaped object radiating flashing lights of white, red, and green. At times the sphere seemed to move in sometimes a circle or back and forth. There was some cloud cover and sometimes it could be seen through the clouds, sometimes not. I watched it on and off for about an hour and by then it had moved a little higher and more south. Soon, some air craft (jets?) I could see the contrails headed towards the light. There wear eventually 3-4 jet craft going towards it. The light then disappeared behind some cloud cover. I checked about a half hour later and did not see it.

We were driving north on route 81 towards Whitney Point and stopped to get gas and noticed an unusually bright white light low in the horizon. It seemed to get brighter and bigger and then fade to smaller, this occured a few times.

The sky was clear that evening.

We proceeded to drive to Ithaca and watched the light and while coming out of Richford, on route 79, we pulled over twice to watch the light. It appeared to move slightly at times and sometimes a red light was noticed to be within the white light, near to the bottom.

A couple other cars had pulled over periodically to look at the light.

We watched it until we got to Ithaca and it was odd that it moved higher in the horizon and then lower.

The last time I saw this was around 1900 and it was then very low on the western hemisphere.

Three oval objects with the one in the middle much larger and brighter flying fast in a diagonal pattern.

Approximate date: 6/18/05 Approximate time: 23:50 I was driving headed west and noticed 3 lights coming from my left side (from the south-west) somewhat low on the horizon. I first noticed the two smaller lights, they could have been redish in color, they were moving fast and in a diagonal pattern. When I had a more unobstructed view I then saw thata perhaps a purposeful diagonal flight pattern was being maintained and then noticed the large white bright oval shaped object flying between them. That one was much larger and brighter than the other two. They were moving fast, kept the same pattern and were staying low on the horizon. By the time I turned right onto West Haven Road which runs north, I could only get a glimpse now and then of the bright white object by looking to my left through the gaps in the trees and houses. My first impluse was to follow them, but they seemed to maybe be going lower and would be hard to see unless I changed my direction to head west. When I reached my house and exited my SUV I did not here any noise to indicate planes or jets were flying close by.

While watching the eclipse around 10:30 pm, there were a number of shooting stars (or what we thought were shooting stars) going from one side of the sky to the other. We were amazed by them, until we saw a bright white V shaped movement off in the distance. It seemed almost like a ghost, moving slower than a shooting star, but much faster than a cloud.

Two differnet objects, one orb, one V shape, night of lunar eclipse.

3 college students, standing on a hillside watching the lunar eclipse. scanning the sky for shooting stars/meteors. the first 'ufo' looked to be almost as a pair of whitish green shimmering wings, like a massive falcon streaking acrosss the sky-- not flapping jsut a very fast gliding. point of origin was not seen, visual contact ended when the thing was obscured by a light source from a near by building. it traveled NE to SW across the sky. second object was spotted about 5 min later, a small mutely glowing orb, would have mistaken it for a shooting star, but its path was erratic and jumpy, traved on an identical path to first object, but parallel about 500ft apart to the west. point of origin not seen, visual contact obscured by a nearby building

Triangle With USAF in Grey on Black on Underside of Fuselage

I live in Cayuga Hts., Just North of Ithaca. Last night a triangle shape UFO which was an equlateral triangle of maybe 150 feet on each side just stopped over my Ford Crown Victoria when I was stopped at a stop sign on Tompkins Road. It had 3 whitish lights, one at each vertex. My 1997 Crown Vic is an ex-police cruiser with a spotlight controlled from the driver's seat. I shined the spotlight on the bottom of the triangle and saw "USAF" in Grey on Black on the underside of the triangle at each vertex. The "USAF" was dark grey on black just about at each vertex. After about 10 seconds I took off from the stop sign and the triangle just disappeared. There was an almost imperceptible humming sound associated with the triangle.

Gigantic body in space appears to blow up and dim several times.

My daughter and son-in-law came in from walking the dog saying there is a comet, come out and see. I ran out to join them, and over the next few minutes we watched as a huge body, which seemed to be in space, grew so large and bright that we thought there was a meteor coming right at us. It grew very dim, then flared nearly as bright as it had been. It seemed to be exploding at intervals. It did this several times until it seemed to get totally dim. At that time we went inside. This object appeared MUCH larger than any of the stars or planets. I would not be surprised if we were viewing a Nova, a star blowing up. It was absolutely gigantic. We are supposing that reports of THIS actually WILL appear in the news media. There was no sound, no colors, and nothing else but the explosions of brilliant light.

unexplained light

During the summer is usually the time I see a majority of these lights, what caught my attention was the off shade they were compared to like the space station planets stars ect. One night I decided to pull over for a break when i spotted one of these unusal lights, thats when i noticed the movement of them. To give an idea of where they are in the sky i'd say between 45 and 60 degrees up, and the lights will sway left right a few times and up and go real low. My first thought after watching this the first night was a helicopter and i pushed it to the back of my mind.

The next night i saw again this light, again noticing it because of the off color it was and when i stopped to watched it did the normal up down and side to side then in shot off stright up and was gone into the night sky. Of course after this it had my full attention and I brought it to the attention of my running partner after this. It was the following night and again I saw the light and stopped this night having feild glasses with me. I looked and couldn't get a good focus nor could he but, we both could see the strobing lights of blues yellow a purple ect. Neither of us had the time to stay and watch but both could see the bouncing around of the light.

This has to date still continued and not every night maybe one a week if not twice i at one point or another will notice this light. One night i stopped along one of the back roads i take and watched this light bounce up and down like a ekg read out, that night flipped me out i then knew for a fact that i was watching something i couldn't explain.

Cylinder crosses sky without any vapor trail.

We were walking in a park and watched a cylindrical shaped object, thus (oooovoooo), with a darker patch in the center, cross the sky without any vapor trail whatsoever. Every jet or aircraft I have ever seen has always had at least some kind of exhaust trail. This had absolutely none. It was a very clear day here, and the craft seemed very high, but was large enough to still be clearly visible in shape. At no time were wings seen at all.

I saw a brilliant sphere, that a search light came out of...the search light went out, and the sphere disappeared.

I was going to work and had stopped at a stop sign. When I crossed the road I was drawn to look to my left. I stopped my car as I saw in the sky, a brilliant white sphere across the lake. I sat there watching it, amazed. All of a sudden a search light came out of it, it was shinning on the clouds in front and to the sides of it. I just sat there watching it. The search light went out, and within seconds, the bright sphere went out. I sat a while longer waiting to see if there were blinking lights which would have made it a plane...there were none. There was also no noise of any kind to be heard. When planes fly on that side of the lake, it echo's to our side. No noise, and the object was gone. I asked at work if anyone had seen it, butno one had noticed it.

Gigantic white teardrop plunges into Cayuga Lake, Ithaca, NY in late July, 2000.

While in the process of moving and packing a truck, I glanced up (in a direction NNW from my location) and saw a huge white teardrop shaped object plunge earthward (it appeared to plunge into Cayuga Lake) in a split-second. Nobody near me observed this, and I have no clue as to what it might be. I am a programmer and database specialist, and am not prone to imagining such things. Did anyone else in Ithaca see this event??? If anyone else saw this, please enter the sighting here, just for public access. Thank you very much.

I witnessed a very fast moving white light that suddenly exploded into a bright white flash.

At approximately 22:35 Eastern Standard Time, while traveling north on US-27 just south of Ithaca, MI, I witnessed a very fast moving bright white light that suddenly exploded into a very bright white flash of light. I was a front seat passenger looking out of my door window when I saw the fast moving light. The light was traveling southward at an elevation of approximately 45 degrees above the horizon and from my position it seemed to be descending at a ten degree angle. After about a second of observation the light suddently exploded into a bright white flash that lasted for a fraction of second. The flash did not linger in the sky as an explosion would, and I did not see any trace of the light following the explosion. The object seemed to be moving much faster than any meteor or debris that I've previously witnessed entering the atmosphere. There were a few high altitude passanger jets in the immediate vicinity of the phenomenon from the position which I witnessed it occur.

Very Large Triangle Shapped Object

Several other similar reports in the area have prompted me to report this siting.

On Freeville Rd, between Ithaca and Freeville, NY, a dark remote Rd at night, we witnessed a very, VERY large Triangular craft.

The weather was clear and the night sky was spectacular for star gazing.

There is very little artificial light in this area.

At first, I notice a bright star with tiny flashes around it. I thought i was seeing satellite photos being taken. Then I noticed across from it, at a distance of possibly 100 feet, the same thing, and again at a third p[oint, making a triangle shape.

In between the lights, was darkness, no stars could be seen.As we watched, we could see this object, which may have been up to 2000 feet in the sky, was moving very slowly to the east.

A bright object was seen from a far distance. It gave off a bright white light, sometimes turning gold, the it would turn red and green. The object would me still, then begin to vibrate and then go into orbital like movement.

My mother and I watched this object for three hours it came from the north and remained on the western horizon for approximately three hours. I first noticed it because of the bright white light it gave off and seemed to get bigger. After a while it seemed to get small, and began to give off red, green and white light. Sometimes all at once or just red or white. The object would remain still and then begin to vibrate very rapidly. Sometimes it would just stop vibrating or it would go into parabolic type orbits. (small range orbitals.). Sometimes it would move in a linear fashion when vibrating. It would then stop all movement and remain still. Then movement would start up again. The object seemed to remain at the same level off of the horizon, but moving south over the time we watched it. We reported this to the NY State Police (Name deleted) at the time we were observing it. The next day I reported it to the Cornell Astronomy Dept. (I was an Cornell employee and student at the time). The irony of this event is that a few weeks before witnessing this event, this same time of UFO sighting was broadcast on Unsolved Mysteries. The show also featured video tapes. These sightings occured that same year most of which happened down south. I think the show focused on the crafts that were sighted in one of the southern states. I could be wrong about the year, it could have been 1993 that we saw this, but you can verify the year by contacting the TV show Unsolved Mysteries or your own archives have probably cataloged those same sightings. I am sure this happened in fall, a few weeks after that particular show was run. The following night both my parents and I observed the same object in the same area. I know this is outdated material but it may help.

The light's

I will do the best i can.It was 3 miles west on M57 We had just turned of 127 NORTH at this point I told my Wife to look at lights just above the trees we pulled off rode to get a good look at this, we new very quickly it was not a plain. The lights were blue, yellow, green, and red. At that point we were both out of the car about 500 yards away from the lights at a fence row. The lights were traveling very slow it appeared to be very large and was heading directly toward where we were parked. My wife jumped back into the car, eventually it was close enough I could tell it was the length of two football fields, and had 12 windows and had 4 layers,and was lit up like florescent lights. It looked like as if you were looking down a hallway but no one was in it roughly moving about 6 miles an hour and didn't pay no mind to us on the side of the road. The windows were big enough to put a dump truck through them, about 150ft. in the air and right across the road. ! It looked as though a cloud had just formed from it, my wife got real scared I told her it wanted nothing to do with us because3 the car was still running and the music was still going on low. The object went into the cloud as if it were a cloaking device but before it completely disappeared into the cloud we were leaving.It had to be as long as a football field

I was driving at nighttime from Dryden toward Ithaca, NY, on a country road when I saw a very large and bright white object in the sky. It seemed as if the object was five to ten miles away and it was larger than a plane would be and oblong.

I immediately leaned forward and watched in confusion and amazement as the object flew across the sky from south to north finally disappearing behind clouds, lighting up the clouds from behind before it disappeared. The whole sighting only lasted ten or twenty seconds but it was quite remarkable. The next day I was happy to see that the local paper.

The Ithaca Journal, had a small article reporting that many others had reported seeing this.
