Appeared to be a flaming orb moving south to north high altitude

This happened on Long Island so we have 3 major airports and 1 smaller airport within 25 miles so I’m no stranger to planes, commercial jets and helicopters. This was none of the above I saw no navigation lights or any kind. It’s path thru the sky followed no normal flight path of the 3 big airports the small airport might have something on this flight path but object was way too high to be landing or taking off from there. I just appeared in the sky while watching fireworks. It was a ball on fire going across the sky. To me it looked like flames from a rocket going across the sky. I checked for any launches and only thing I found was a space x flight but that was 5:20 the next morning so couldn’t be that. It happened just after sunset so it could be the sun reflecting off something but what it had no lights so not a plane. Its size makes it impossible to be a balloon. So I have no idea what it was. I saw it I videoed it please tell me what you think it was.

Cigar-shaped orange light shot up into the clear night sky, gradually brightening and then fading after a few seconds.

I was driving, my partner sat in the passenger seat beside me. The sky was clear but there weren’t too many stars visible. Something caught my eye as we were talking: an oblong orange shape was suddenly visible in the sky in front of us, just left of center of our field of vision, maybe 30 degrees above the horizon. It gradually brightened as it appeared, like a slow flare, but constant in shape, speed, and utterly silent (the windows were down), and it traveled at a speed that, at the time and in recollection, seemed too fast to have been a plane or a drone, but far too slow to have been a meteor. It travelled upwards on a diagonal for maybe 5 seconds, give or take, before it gradually dimmed as it disappeared. I took the next turn-around and wondered aloud about the possibility of an aircraft practicing for the upcoming Memorial Day Air Show. My partner noted the time, 1:19 am, not an hour that one would expect such practice flights to take place. There were no other vehicles nearby.

Object left no trail and the light source never blinked or flickered and had no discernible haze. Encounter was too brief to accurately estimate the object’s speed, size, or supposed distance from our vehicle, but we both got the sense that the object we had just seen was considerably larger than a drone, but likely smaller than a commercial jet. It certainly was not fireworks. I have not heard or seen any other reports on this event, though my resources are limited and I’ve never done this kind of thing before.

Bright subject seen in early morning hours

Me and my brother were sitting in the hot tub in the early morning hours when he pointed out this very bright light that traveled fast with no plane navigation lights. It descended very fast and being a pilot myself it was definitely not a plane. It faded out after about a 1 or 2 minutes.

Large Bright White Light Moving slowly high above my house, no noise, then Stopped

Myself and my Wife witnessed a large bright white light moving slowly from the North West, to the South East. It passed high over my house, and at first I thought it was a helicopter, but there was no noise coming from it, and it had no green or red flashing lights, just a large bright white light. I though it was one of those bags with lite candles inside, to make it lift, but it was too white and too bright and it stopped, after it passed my house, I watched it for at least 15 minutes more and it did not move, and just looked like a very bright star?

I have been an engineer for many years, so I tried to rationalize what it could have been, but I cannot come up with any explanation of what it could be, I got up this morning and ran out to see if it was still hanging in the same location. It was gone.

UFO Sighting.

The sky is extremely clear out tonight. At first I thought it was an airplane until another appeared and they stood near each other and the flew off. They had red and white flashing lights.

Then another 2 appeared over Burns Park and they crossed each other in an X shape and slowly flew in the sky back and then forth.

I know that there isn't an airport near Burns Park in Massapequa and the 2 that crossed look like they came from that area.

Six flying objects flew over Long Island together in formation very fast almost like 6 shooting stars in formation 8 pm. Oct 6 2015

I was looking at the sky there seemed to be lots of movement in the stars I saw want seemed to be the a few stars/ lights almost visiting each other one would fly to the next.

Then I heard a siren from the firehouse and that's when I saw 5 or six ships flying together appear to cross overhead and head west. I noticed they did not make a sound I was shaken by what I saw. I wanted to call someone to tell them but who would believe such a crazy thing. I alway look at the sky at night I have never seen anything like this it was as if they where in a military formation I would say it was like seeing 6 mini fighter jets shooting through the sky at lightening speed. So high in the stratosphere to be a jet plane flew in a smooth motion disappeared so fast like 6 shooting stars in a flight pattern formation.

Viewed 2 glowing spheres that traveled at a constant speed going at around 30 mph heading east

My wife and I were coming back home after a night out, before entering our homes we noticed a round sphere in the sky it was traveling in a trajectory South West heading East. If I were to take a guess I would say the object was traveling at around 30 miles per hour.

After viewing the object for about 30 seconds, another object of the same shape and size was viewed, it followed the same trajectory as the first object. Inside the sphere looked what seemed to be like a glowing torch.

This was not a balloon, it had a constant speed and was traveling at a constant straight line trajectory maintaining constant height.

There was no sound coming from the objects.

Both objects disappeared out of sight after about 2 minutes.

Circular orb in the sky covers great distance in short 30 seconds without breaking sound barrier on 7/4/13.

All six of us had noticed a yellow, circular orb in the sky. Luckily we noticed it right away and we were able to see it travel the entire sky in 30 seconds. In our estimate the object must have been 5 - 10 miles up at a minimum. For the object to travel across the entire sky with out any sound barrier being broken befuddled all of us. We were able to determine that it was not space junk or an asteroid due to the direction it was taking. It went clear across the sky in a straight path, and not in a parabola direction. First time any of us had seen anything like that. Some people were scared, while others were just confused. I thought it was really cool.

I was laying down with my boyfriend (went to sleep at 2am) and woke up and could see the time was 3am, but I was paralyzed, couldn't move. I tried to scream his name for help because I saw 4 of the grey-looking aliens standing above me but could not make a sound.

They were a little different then average greys. Their eyes were emanating light. As if it was some kind of contacts to see at night. They were looking at each other. Communicating without words.

One looked at me then they all turned and quickly the one closest to me stabbed my womenhood (for lack of better words) and it felt like the needle wand looking thing it held went all the way up to my spin. The pain was as of an excruciating burn and I screamed in my head till I found I was unconscious.

I woke up at 4am. So did my bf. He told me he was paralyzed and tried to talk to me but found he could not.

2 months followed with random 30min or linger pain from there to my spin. They've been torchering me since childhood (I used to wake up with strange marks on my back) scared they found me again.

Flying orbs over the night sky in New York on July 28, 2012.

My wife and I filmed this sighting on 7-28-12 around 10 p.m. from Long Island, NY. I wish I had the footage I took with my iPhone of the first set of 6 or so as they were more "acrobatic" (accidently deleted during sync), but I did take video from my camcorder too that still captures the essence of what we witnessed that evening. Hard to explain, but intriguing enough that I thought it was worth reporting. I ended it abruptly after the last one jetted away and the sky went dark again. Each disappeared the same way - they shook violently then seemed to just disappear. These balls rose relatively quickly, I'd guess them to reach speeds of 150-200 mph as they ascended. But then they would just stop, and sit, and hover for a while. As I zoomed in, I saw that before they disappeared, they shook erratically and became hard to keep a steady view of. At the end of my clip you'll see a great illustration of what I mean - a great close up of this illuminated "orb.". These balls apeared to pulsate and seemed to almost make patterns, such as triangles and lines.

My son and I were travelling north heading home at approximately 9:00 pm. We were about to turn west onto our street when we saw what looked like a burning ball in the sky about 75 feet above the ground at the next intersection and moving east. We did not turn but continued north towards it. The ball of fire looked like it was rectangluar towards it’s lower half and it turned north. As we got to the next street, it disappeared. We made a right turn down that street going east. When we got to the next block, we saw it again, this time it was about 5 blocks south from where we last saw it. We stopped to take a picture of it and it began going up and disappeared in the sky very rapidly and disappeared in a matter of seconds. The entire sighting lasted less than 2 minutes.

clear sky, 2 "light" objects high above, joining each other, then shooting off towards the west. third sighting. first time for 2 to get

ok, i have seen this"light" for the third time now. it looks like a star, rapidly moving, kind of a "twinkling"/dimming, followed by a brightness, then it disappears.

the first time I reported this. the second time I did not. now the third time i am again, only because there seemed to have been two of them. one travelling from east to west, very high in the sky, the ohter travelling north to north west, and meeting with the other "light" it seemed to become "one" but then looked as if they were both very close together. this lasted for about 45 seconds, until at which one point, it just "flashed", and shot out of sight, almost like a shooting star.( which it definately was not). there is definately something going on in the skies above long island.

I have seen this on several occasions over the past number of years, but never reported anything. but with the frequency of these "sightings".

I am convinced there is something up there.

single light in sky, very fast, and also hovering, and changing direction at 45 degree angles, and twinkling

in the early morning of 4/29/10, at approximately 3:00 (am), I went outside in my yard to have a cigarette, and let the dog out. I was looking up at the stars, and noticed what I thought at first was a star. it was kind of twinkling. nothing strange at all. until i realized that this "light" was moving. it was headed in a west direction, then went south, at a 45 degree angle. then just stopped. and remained there for about 2 minutes. it then moved again north at a 45 degree angle, then west. for about 30 seconds, then again, headed west. It gave off one last "twinkle", then I could not see it anymore. like I said, I thought it was a star, because thats what it looked like. ( size, shape, brightness) Until i knew it was most definately moving. from its distance, i could not tell where it was as far as location, somewhere over the south shore of nassau county, or perhaps over the water? But, it WAS there. i know what I saw. my yard is dark, so ! at night, I have a beautiful view of the sky, and it was amazingly clear out, and a bit crisp. I live close to an airfield (farmingdale), and at that time to my knowledge, there are no small craft flying, or weather ballons. There is also a major air port (MacArthur) about 20 minutes east of me, but this was not a commercial airline, nor a small craft. And at the angle at which it changed, its distance, and its speed, related to that distance. there were no blinking lights, unless you would ascertain the "twinkling" as such. did not leave a trail, and no sound. I just thought I should tell someone outside of family and friends, well because of the obvious reactions.

I swear this is true, not a hoax, and accurate to the best of my ability.

Large pink caterpillar-like object hovered overhead. It seemed to crawl across the sky. It was daytime.

A large reddish pink cylinder appeared overhead, much larger and further away then any of the planes flying in the area. The cylinder seemed to be going in and out like a caterpiller. It was East/West then it turned North/South. It hovered overheard for what seemed like and hour. We looked at it through binoculars, but the glare was too strong, since the sun was out. We called several neighbors to come see, but no one was around. We also contacted the local radio station. We have never seen anything like this. Eventually it moved slowly across the sky until we could not see it any longer. At one point when it was almost gone it looked as though a fighter jet flew past it. We didn't know where our camera was,none of us wanted to leave to go find it. We just wanted to stare at it and see what it was going to do.

Its was around 11:00pm on one of the clearest nights I've seen here in NY. I live on the south shore of Long Island. I'm out on my deck smoking a cigarette, east southeast into the sky, flashing ball of light changing colors really fast. Even though the object seemed really far, you could still make out that it wasn't a star, it was something I've never seen before. The colors were incredible....It stayed in one spot, didn't move. I went to bed and it was still there. I did try to capture it on my digital camera avi, but I doubt it will be clear.

If it didn't change colors the way it did, and if it didn't flash, I would say their was a possibility of this being a star, but I've been looking at stars since I was a kid, this did not look to be a star. I hope its there again tonight.

Southwest, a somewhat "left-parenthesis"-shaped formation of 10-15 oval-shaped silvery/white objects moving from southwest to southeast down over the horizon. Had Binoculars, as I was looking for the Leonids a night late, and the objects were long and thin, horizontal. Objects moved at a steady pace until they dissappeared out of view behind a house, moving lower on the horizon. These did NOT appear to be meteorites at all. The formation and objects remained unchanged for the 15 or so secodns I saw them moving and they appeared to be in the very upper atmosphere or out of it completely. Frickin' weird looking, and a bit eerie, basically because they were so nondescript and moved slower than meteorites I've seen, but faster than jets I've seen.

A large bright hexigon shape over Massapequa NY

This happened around dusk in the late spring. I was in second grade and the planets were out my next door neighbor James had his telescope out. We were trying to focus on the rings of Saturn. It was a cool night, with a dark blue sky and along the horizon a orange line ran across. I was at the end of James drive way with him, his sister Kerry was also with us. The road we were on was North Virgina Ave. It runs east to west. We were in the middle of the block near Boundry ave. So our gaze was to the left. The 135 Seaford Oyster Bay express way is at the end of the block. We could see the tree line from the express way. Just above the tree line suddenly the object came going North to South. It was moving very slowly, it did not stop and it did not pick up speed. From our view we see the houses on the north side of the ship, as well as the houses on the south side. Trees as well on both sides. Coming from out of nowhere out of these trees I am the first to see it. I scream something a long the lines of "Ah!" or "Oh!" Kerry then said, "What?" She then looking up saw it and screamed very similar to me. Next James said "What?" He sounded more annoyed at us both, then he saw it screamed as well. Next James and Kerry ran into the house to get their mother. I watched the object and when it finally crossed the street and was behind the trees and homes I ran inside next. I was scared to move and I couldn't move till I could no longer see it. I then ran inside and got my own mother, and both me and my mom came out to Kerry and James outside with their mom talking about what we just saw.

I was in second grade, I was seven about to turn eight I believe. My birthday being in June. I only remember that I was in second grade. I do not have the note book I wrote my experience in anymore or the picture I drew. My mom told me that she had called Grummen and that they said it was a new plane to pick up the people in the Gulf who were at war. This I found out many years later was false she did not call at all, she told me this so I would sleep at night. Kerry was a year younger then me, and James was a year older. I have not seen them since I moved in the fifth grade. So I am not sure if they still live there.

The Object was just a light, and it was massive. It wasn't one small light but huge. It was a few inches in comparison to everything in the back drop. So it was more then likely a hundred feet in length at the most I'd say. I am not a good judge of distance. But if I were to close one eye and use my thumb I would say it would reach my knuckle from the tip. It was along the tree line of the horizon. It was hexagon in shape. With in the hexagon were shapes, triangles and circles. The triangles were coming from the top part pointing down, while the ones on the bottom pointed up. They met in the middle and in the middle is where the circles were. The whole shape was a bright light. That was the most confusing part of the object noticing the shapes with in the light, each shape seemed to be it's own piece as well as it's own light. As if each piece was luminescent on its own. Though I am much older now and I've always wanted to report it, this memory is one of my most vivid. I remember it so well because it is why I am a believer. Why no matter how much the subject scares me I watch programs, look up articles because I wish to know more. And more then anything I wish to see the shape one day in a picture so I can show everyone I've told that this is what I saw.

Fast quiet objects moving in formation with unheard of speed and precision.

It was a typical night staring out my bedroom window with my dog at my side. I was looking out my window facing what would be north and suddenly saw moving at an incrediable rate speed about 6 to 8 bright white oval shaped discs low on the horizon (it was dark outside at the time). It was amazing and at first and did not comprehend what I had just seen. I actually remembered rubbing my eyes afterwards in disbelief! The astounding speed and quitness of these ufo's was just incredible (window was opened). The distance of these objects appeared to be far off as the shapes were small but very distinct. I sat there and tried to understand what it might have been in those 5 or so seconds (it felt longer). It was a steady speed and I had the advantage of a broad playing field in the sky to see the trip. I tell you, I have never ever seen anything like it. I recently saw, two summers ago, a small meteorite enter the earth's atmosphere (orange with lots of afterburn behind it) and it couldn't compare to the speed of that event burned long ago into my mind! I have never before made public this event to anyone as I thought it would be shund upon or laughed at. But now after all these years, I can still paint an exact picture as I think about it everytime I hear or see ufo information. And, to all of those thinking, it wasn't a meteor shower, as it was too deliberate of formation and moving parralel to the horizon.
