Driving to work I saw bright white orb between Utah Lake and redwood road. It was a clear sky

The orb was hovering at helicopter height between SR 73/Redwood Road just outside of Saratoga Springs where we store commercial explosives. I watched it for a few seconds thinking it was a National Guard bird catching a reflection. Then it took off at incredible speed away from me towards the lake and disappeared. I am a veteran with extensive observation experience. It was not a helicopter, drone, or fixed wing aircraft.

I’m not entirely convinced that this is a drone. But I know it’s plausible for a drone to hover for 1-2 maybe even more minutes. What’s striking to me is how bright and how visible this light was. Also why there and at that particular time? I’ve sworn I have seen this light before just about at dusk but others have said it’s an airplane or satellite or something logical. Am I crazy? Also my phone camera doesn’t focus good enough and the distance I guess to be about 50 miles away is too vast to capture in high definition what it is.

Tonight I witnessed a ufo being chased by a military helicopter at approximately 10:10 EST, near Saratoga Springs, NY. Ufo was traveling NW at high speeds. Daughter witnessed a black shadow like object that was tailing behind and she described it as shaped long and oval like. I did not see this as I went in my house to bring my dogs back inside.

Green light meteorite

I was driving to work going down Pony Express Road when a meteorite like object burst down from the clouds towards the ground. It burned in a bright green light very similar to the green light on a traffic light but more intense.

Half way on its trajectory it broke down into 3 pieces and vanished before hitting the ground.

It seemed as if it was shot out of something that was either inside or above the clouds.

This event happened about 6 months ago. Sorry for not reporting it before.

January 31, 2019.

On the morning of Wednesday January 30, 2019, my wife and I were cleaning up snow from the previous evening snow storm. I believe it was approximately 11:20 am.

The sky was clear and a brilliant blue which my wife was admiring and started taking pictures of with her iPhone 7.

Since it was so bright outside she went into the garage were it was darker to look at the picture she had just taken.

She noticed the object in the photo which she hadn’t seen in the sky when she took the picture, immediately she went back outside to see if it was still there which it wasn’t.

The picture was taken facing northeast .

A bright, double lit, neon green semi-triangular object traveling fast, like a shooting star.

I was driving to work on I-87 South bound, between exits 14 and 13, and all of a sudden, I saw an object, flying from the northeast toward the south. I thought at first it was a plane crashing because of the size. It was massive. The size was approximately 30 yards across and it was in the shape of a mushroom/whale tail, almost triangular, but not. The color was bright neon green and there was a darker neon green light around the perimeter of the object and then a lighter neon green light on the inner part.

This object just appeared in the sky and lit up and then disappeared again. It was traveling so fast, similar to shooting star speed. And the length of time I saw it was approximately 3 seconds. It was also about 1/4 mile in the air, as thought it seemed. It was low, like a plane would be if it's in mid-landing.

I saw 2 objects in the sky blinking, making patterns and apparently communicating with each other

I let my dog out this evening, while waiting for him to finish, i admired the night sky and saw what looked like a star moving. I stared at it for a while in disbelief and then it started moving again, it made several different shapes or patterns while blinking in several different colors. The object made a triangle, a circle, semi-circles, s and c patterns as well as move back and forth. The object looked like it was communicating with a similar shaped object via these patterns.

The other object looked like it only had one color (light orange) but also blinked as it moved. The second object only moved after the first one, it looked like the second one was acknowledging whatever the first object was trying to communicate. I wittnessed this behavior for over an hour,

I went back into my house and grabbed my wife and son to verify what i was looking at. My wife told me it was an airplane, so I showed her 3 airplanes moving in the night sky, I asked her to look again and after a few moments she reported seeing exactly what i was seeing, we watched for a few more minutes until she got too scared to continue looking at it.

I went back inside to get my father, he did not care and stayed in bed so i woke my mother and asked her to come outside with me and look at something. My mother saw what my wife and i saw and was actually the one to point out the second object, she does not know what they are but pointed lo ut that they looked like they were both doing the same thing. I called a ufo reporting hotline which ive never done in my life. I was told to get wittnesses to the event, which i did. I was also told to identify stars and constellations using a smartphone astronomy app which i also did. At this time the second object was no longer in The sky. The first object apeared to be in the vicinity of Camelopardalis, however I could not place the object against anything definitive on the app. Im 31 years old, I look at the n! ight sky quite often but ive never seen anything like this bef! ore i am confident this was not an airplane or a twinkling star, ive seen both. to add to my background i am also an eagle scout. It is 1am now and im taking the time to do this report because i believe what i saw.

Tuesday, July 18, 2017 – Spotted six points of light in the sky.

After a short rainstorm, I was in our back yard, looking for a rainbow with my four-year old daughter.

Looking East toward the mountains, I see a spot of light hovering in the sky. I thought it to be the landing lights an airplane at first, then noticed about five other points of light near the first.

The lights seemed to dance around each other for a time. I watched for a short time, then each light seemed to fade into the clouds one after another.

While I watched, the lights never moved far from their locations in the sky. There was no apparent pattern to them or anything like that.

Just apparently random points of light playing in the sky.

Me and a friend was riding around out in the desert. We pulled off of a dirt road and went up into the woods a little ways. We sit for about 30 minutes as we looked back down the trail, we noticed what we thought was a flashlight getting closer.

We got startled and turned on the headlights, and it dissipated ((sic. disappeared?)) over a small hill.

We decided we would get out of there quickly, after this happened.

On our way back to town we decided to go to place that over looked town. From this spot you could see all of town. All of a sudden, we seen one bright sun colored looking light that split into two difftent orbs.

We turned around and sped toward town to get a better look. When we topped the hill, you could see town again, and it dissipred going down the hill.... Then they were both gone.

I saw a glittering object start to move across the sky from north to south in a linear motion.

After traveling for approximately one minute in a continuous motion and direction, the craft seemed to stop and hover for several minutes.

The craft continues to move in short jagged and also circular motions, staying within a certain space and performing maneuvers at a slow rate, but unlike any craft I have ever seen.

At first I thought it was a helicopter, but then realized it was far too high in the sky and would not stay in such a tight flight pattern for as long as it has.

To my knowledge, I have never seen a UFO, but believe this to be my first sighting.

strange lights in norh east sky saratoga, ca

I was out in backyard with dog looking up at the night sky as i usually do. I noticed 2 stars that were real bright one above the other, I thought it was a part of a star formatation this was in the north east sky, in fact everything I saw was in the north east sky last night.

Anyways these 2 bright star shapes just got real bright and both just went dark one after the other. I was looking at the spot they had been and noticed an orange light very faint streaking very fast heading north, i thought maybe a satellite, but the about 2 minutes later i see 2 more of these faint orange lights going across the sky but they were headed in opposite directs at the same time, they passed by each other one going south and the other going north, i have never seen that before if they were satellites, but 3 of them in a 3 minute span is odd. I thought wow that was alot of action in the north east sky. I sat down and looked to a star I saw that was sort of dim in the north ! east sky, then right below it a bright orange light flared up and went dark, this happened about 3 times in a 5 minute span of time. that was the last of the activity I saw the rest of the night, I'll be out there tonight with telescope and camera hoping to catch something.

A brightly lit object, twice the size of a planet, traversed the night sky, dimmed, and disappeared from view

Thursday, October 11, 2012 While walking this evening, my daughter and I observed an intensely bright white light, twice the size of a star/planet when observed in a cloudless, star-filled sky. The object slowly traversed the night sky from south to north. There was no noise; other airplanes noticeably dotted the sky. The moving object had no other lights that were visible to us. It continued on its path when all of a sudden, its brightness dimmed, and it completely disappeared from our view. We stood there several minutes, waiting for it to return; but, it didn’t appear.

Orange/Yellow strange lights above saratoga springs / schuylerville ny

I was outside my home smoking a cigarette last night when i noticed a orange/yellow (cant really describe the color which is odd..?) light moving over the wooded area about a half mile across the street from my home. at first I thought it was a plane as we do see them often, but than the object moved over towards my home about 500 yards south, now on the same side of the street above the treeline and in just a matter of what appeared to be instantaneously... regardless it was fast. The light went off at some points and than on while it continued to move around the area of my house (within 3-4 miles as i was trying to watch it, the light was not always on).

The reason i know for a fact this was no ordinary flying object to our knowledge of aircraft is for a few reasons. 1) the object circled and zig zaged over the hill in the back of our home at a speed that would be impossible for any pilot to handle.

2) The object at one point was directly above my home about 600-700 yards (hard to say how high, but not high enough for an airplane in our area, but high enough not to hit any trees or anything by far.) When it was overhead there were no blinking lights indicating it being an aircraft of ours... the only lights were a mix of yellow/orange (again i cant explain the color, almost as if nothing ive seen..). Needless to say when it was that close to my home over the biggest tree in our yard, i ran back to the house to make sure i wasnt going to be the next person with an abduction story or something like that to be the town crazy.... Anyhow if anyone else saw this light/lights in the sky please report it on the web. I could not have been the only one who saw this. It was fast moving, and did not always have the lights on as if it were moving sometimes without lights..? but there was something out there that is a fact. Please post if you saw anything, i would like to reassu! re myself that this did occur and was not just some strange weather incident or anything over that nature... THANKS>

3 Ufo's over Utah Lake 4/29/12

I am on my iPod so I don't have a word processor. My husband & I were having a BBQ on our deck facing east across Utah Lake. I heard a plane so looked up and saw 3 round bright objects above the plane heading south. The plane was heading north to the airport. I grabbed my binoculars and called to my husband. I saw 3 round metallic objects traveling fast in a V formation. I gave the binoculars to my husband and he also saw them and we both agree they weren't birds or jets because they were very high and didn't have wings. They were bright gold and metallic and round. We have never seen anything like this and don't have any idea what we saw. We did not think to get a picture.

The light looked like the ISS (International Space Station), but moving slightly slower and glowing reddish-orange. It was viewed moving below and to the right of Venus, straight up and then took a sudden turn left cutting between Venus and Jupiter in the night sky.

The light continued towards Orion's Belt, and as it drew closer to Orion, Took another sudden left curve, towards Orion's knee, and disappeared.

Flash of light that lit entire nighttime sky, traveling West to East. Followed by a power flicker of at least 25 miles.

Clear skies for Thursday night January 12, 2012 in Saratoga, CA. I was outside on the phone talking to a friend who lived approximately 25 miles north in San Mateo and was inside their house. Suddenly, I saw a flash of light across the sky almost instantaneous coming from a Western direction across the sky towards the East. The light was so fast that while I saw it I thought it was lightning but while the light flashed I reminded myself that we had unseasonably hot and clear weather with no rain for a month. Then once the light flash ended, all the lights flickered, street lights, neighbors house lights and inside lights and even our own house. I was talking on the phone while I witnessed this and said I saw a light flash across the sky and the lights just flickered off. My friend on the phone said that while I said this, their house lights flickered off and then on again. I would have thought this was nothing but a power spike, except that I saw the light a! cross the sky flashed in a flick of an eye. There was no object, just a flash of light across the entire sky as thought it was coming from the West (Pacific Ocean or San Francisco) area. The entire moment from the light across the sky to then the electrical energy bleep lasted 3-4 seconds. If you blinked, you would have missed the light across the sky. The electrical outage came after the light, and was a longer bleep. This happened again approximately 30-45 seconds later. However, this time the flash of light was barely noticeable and the power flicker only hit the street lights. I do not live near any electrical power center or any large electrical wires. What was odd is that 25 miles north my friend experienced the same thing, but did not see the light flash because they were indoors. There were no forms of evidence such as pictures, except that my friend witnessed the electrical outage.

UFO Sighting July 4 2008 Like to report sighting of very large ufo on july 4 2008. Sighting was seen by 4 people. Sighting was by town of Eldora Iowa. Ufo was about 600' across and was saucer shaped. 3 lights flying at high altitude in a "V" or triangle formation.

While scanning the sky for satellites we saw three objects which looked like satellites flying from NW to SE at a satellite elevation. They were in an elongated V formation or triangle, one in the lead and two following. As we watched the lead one disappeared, then the two rear ones disappeared. We watched the sky for any re-appearance and never saw them again.

I was southbound and the northbound disk shaped, metalic , object approached then passed overhead on a clear bitter cold afternoon.

My wife and I were southbound on I 87 at the 32 or 33 mile marker just south of Saratoga NY. I saw a distant object in my windshield that I initially thought to be a hot air balloon in the distance. The sky was clear and without clouds. I found it strange to see a hot air balloon as the temperature was only 4 or 5 degrees above zero. I noticed the shape of the object change so that I no longer recognized the hot air balloon shape. I mentioned it to my wife who started watching it also. It then went back to looking like a hot air balloon. As we continued to watch it became apparent to me that we were closing on the object faster than I would have expected if it were a hot air ballooon. My first explanation for this was that perhaps it was smaller than I had expected so we were really closer to it than I had estimated. As we continued to get closer I realized we were closing on it very quickly and as it passed overhead my wife was able to crane her neck and look up through the windshield. I asked her what it looked like as we passed and she said that what she saw was a disk shaped object, metalic in color, and not entirely smooth. The object did not have lights. At the closest point the object appeared about the size of a quarter. After the experience we tried to make some sense of what we had seen and have not been able to do so. I don't know if the object was large and traveling at a high rate of speed, or if it was small and moving very slowly.

I was driving down the road when I saw what looked like 2 stars right next to each other but a bit brighter, on the sides of them were 2 tiny alternately blinking lights. As I got closer it stayed in the exact same spot and I was eventually underneath it, it was not very large and was fairly low I could tell probably about 100-200 feet up just sitting. I was actually a triangle of 3 lights underneath and the 2 blinking side ones. Then it began to move, not very quickly - about 50-60 mph and I followed down the road until it was going a bit faster out over a field where I noticed 3 other identicle blinking lights that went towards each other and away.

On 09/11/03 about 21:00 Hrs Ca time 3 star like obj at hi altitude travel acrosss sky from south to north within moments of eachother.

I live in an area where we have no street lamps. On several occassions during the past six years about this time of season I have seen what almost could be mistaken for a tiny star in the nights' sky. Except that it is moving across the sky at a very good rate of speed. It's direction is coming from the South and moving North and sometimes South to Northeast or so. In the past I was by myself when I viewed these things. My thoughts were that it was a possible sattlelite, but on one occassion two or three years back I saw one of these do a tight zig zag pattern as it passed over head. Anyway I had a hunch that tonight I might see one of these Traveling Stars as I began talking to my thirteen year old daughter about my previous sightings. I guess as the conversation tappered off we began to look up into the night sky. It was a clear night. No fog maybe some slight haze and a full moon rising but low enough not to interfere . It was dark in our back yard and we were in the hot tub looking up when by chance my daughter spotted what I had described to her just moments before. So we got very exicited I thought once again that may be it's a satalite. We watched it pass and as it was passing I was yelling to my wife inside the house to come outside and get a look at this thing. I wear glasses and my wife wears glasses but my thirteen year old who spotted it has twenty - twenty. My wife did not make it outside in time. It probably took about fifteen seconds from time of spotting till it crossed over going North till it was far from sight. My daughter asked if it could be a UFO and I said I don't know for sure. It was a school night(09-11-03_ about 21:00)and she after seeing this wanted to go inside.

I do not know my GPS location on the map but if this helps I'm located about 40 miles south of San Francisco, California which is SFO= 37deg/37'/5" North-----122deg/22'/22" West Note: One of my previous sightings I called Lick Observatory and inquired about Satalites crossing overhead for the time/date or UFO reports but did not get any definitive answer.

Continued: I was now alone and looking up gazing around and was wondering if my wife and I would have some quite time in the hot tub and would'nt it be neat to see some more when there it was again another little star like object traveling probably the same path as the previous one did. I yelled out to my wife and she was near by this time and she came out side with her glasses and I pointed to the proximity in the sky directly over head now and her eyes found the object in the sky and it too went out of sight. A third passed over in the same fashion except it sort of skewed it's course just as it crossed over our area. It's direction headed sort of North by Northeast once it passed over us. Now during that time on the cordless my wife called her sister whom lives in Sunnyvale about 6 - 7 miles North from us and my wife tells me that her sister went outside and she also had a chance to catch a view. But I'm not sure if she saw what we were seeing because she mentioned to my wife that she saw them moving and line up and that there were 4 of them.

Decription: These things which I was seeing looked like a tiny greenish stars. It seemed to be very very high in the sky (may be 60 to 100 miles out). Not like a B1 or B52 bomber or jet airliner at 35,000 feet. This was much higher like sputnik or the Space Station which fell to earth some years back.

My Thoughts: Some kind of controlled satalite or UFO.

My boyfriend and I were stargazing on Saturday night, it was totally silent when he noticed what appeared to be a falling star. Well not quite, it was too bright and moving too fast and steadily from the NW to the SE. The light moved horizontally. Not vertically, so it was then that we realized it was something of the extraordinary. As this object got further we noticed a duplicate coming back in the opposite direction which would have been the SE heading towards the NW and the object seemed to have picked up in elevation, rising further away from earth. Have you ever seen a falling star that seemed to be falling into space as if it came from earth? We both knew we had experienced something unusual. Coincidently the following night we tried star gazing again and It was then when I noticed a third light moving as the other two did the night before.

At approximately 2pm on the 16th of June my father and I observed a oval shaped silver object approximately a half a mile way in air. It made no noise whatsoever and turned abruptly and quickly accererated into the midday blue. What was most amazing was the lack of sound, the incredible speed and the brilliant silver tone of the object.

Observed scintilating oval object rise over treeline at the south end of lake,move left,right and hover then descend below treeline only to pop back up several seconds later. It then slowly descended below tree- line and did not reappear again while we were there{10:30].

This object was too far away to get any detailed data on but it was not a conventional aircraft.The color changes were subtle and fleeting. It was a pale gold color with flashes of a deeper gold and occasionally pale green to my eye. I'm presuming that there was only one object as we lost sight of it for about 10 seconds behind the trees. This is a typical sighting for this area. These craft have been observed here for several years now. There is a research facility a few miles south of the lake over which I suspect these craft are. I am seeking a vantage point over this area and will then be able to triangulate the objects to see where they are coming up from and perhaps get a closer look and better tape and stills.

While videotaping a craft hovering silently over Saratoga Lake, a second unlit craft shot up from the lake,lit up and hovered.

At Riley Cove on the western shore of Saratoga Lake I saw a silent craft hovering over Saratoga Lake.It was emitting a steady, brilliant, warm light, far brighter than an airplane or helicopter.I'd say its altitude was less than 200 feet, and it was about half a mile out over the lake, definitely close enough to hear an aircraft engine, but the craft was completely silent. I stopped my car and started my videocamera,and filmed it hovering there. I zoomed in as tight as I could, then panned back, and as after I did, I saw a black streak shoot up out of the lake, there was just enough twilight left to see it against the sky. It shot up like a bullet. It happened in an instant, but I remember thinking that someone must be shooting something at this craft. But as it reached the altitude of the first craft it began to light up, and suddenly it was a second brilliantly lit craft hovering in the sky, about one hundred yards to the right of the first craft and a little bit higher. I was really shocked, it happened so quickly, I've never seen anything move like that, in less than one second it went from the water to hovering in a fixed position in the sky. I kept the camera fixed on the two craft as I undid my seatbelt and got out of the car,and they hovered there for several more minutes. Then the first craft seemed to change, it turned into what appeared to be a flat triangle, which began to pulse and fly slowly past the second object, then slowly looped back around again, remaining nearby the second craft. Conventional airplanes began approaching the second craft, also flying closeby to it. The second craft (the one that shot up into the sky) remained hovering for several more minutes, at times motionless, then drifting slowly slowly one way, then heading back in the other direction towards the southern end of the lake. It started to move more quickly,heading across my field of visio! n so I was seeing the side of the craft. If it were an airplane or helicopter I'd have seen the tail lights, strobing lights, or individual lights, but this craft remained a single, large, solid warm light. The southern end of Saratoga Lake is ringed by a heavily wooded hillside, and the craft was travelling just at the hill's treeline in a bobbing up-and-down sort of motion, dipping below the treeline, then floating back up from behind the hill's dark pine trees, eventually going down like a setting sun behind the trees. I do have this incident on videotape.

Glowing,spinning rapidly,displaying quickly changing multi-colored patterns and repeating designs,hovering silently at 70ft.Videotaped.

I was driving on Crescent Avenue near Kaydeross avenue. Where the road passes over a tributary of Kaydeross Creek is a low, swampy field with a hill line on either side.The creek, which connects Lake Lonely to Saratoga Lake floods this area every spring,and the stretch of land between the two lakes is undeveloped.A bright light over the dark field drew my attention,I turned my head and saw a sphere hovering very low,just above the bare trees, about 70 feet off the ground and about 150 feet from the road. The sphere had a warm orange glow,the light it gave off was like a flare or sparkler,with tiny sparks of red,yellow,orange,even green and blue.It wasn't lit from external lights,it was lit from within and its entire surface glowed.Its color changed from yellow to green to red to white to blue,changing colors constantly and almost instantly.It was spinning rapidly,not east/west like a globe,but in a south/north spin.As it spun it revealed strange repeating designs,dark bands,question marks,star patterns and squiggles,,particularly interesting is a trident-like design,and the patterns change colors as well. I pulled over,put my car into park,turned on my camcorder and began filming.It started floating to the south away from me soon after I started filming,but I captured it for over a minute, and the features I describe are clear.Freeze-frame shows how quickly and how certainly remarkable designs and patterns cover this craft.

Saratoga , Ca. sighting 10/25/1986 report has gone missing from NUFORC.

I checked your reference page by state and also by date looking for a report listed in the city of Saratoga, Ca., that was witnessed back in October, 1986. This report was there a year ago and was there for several years, and now it is missing. It was a very extensive report and this sighting was reported in the San Jose Mercury News on two separate days because the UFO did appear twice around the same area for two days. It was close to my house.

After this appearance, I started to experience sounds like electronic tones in Morse Code for about three months. I was looking for this report because I wanted to use it for reference and now it is deleted. Can it be restored or has it been disappeared? Sincerely, ((name deleted)))

08/23/81 Saratoga NY Saucer 5 min white football saucer shape with red circular lights accross the center

I was 13 years old spending the night at my cousins house. He had a farm in the countryside of upstate NY near Saratoga. I usually wake up to go the bathroom every night. I was sleeping in the same bed as my cousin ((name deleted)). there was a window right beside the bed. I woke up this night at 3:00 am and glanced out the second story window. What I saw has since changed my life. IT was football saucer in shape with round circular lights going through the middle of the Craft. The craft was glowing white and the circular lights in the middle were red. It was huge and probably about the size of a 747. It was probably about 300 feet over a field from the house. I stood there for about 3 minutes looking at the UFO. I ((deleted)). I finally woke my cousin ((name deleted)) up and he saw it also. when he saw it from a sitting position on the bed he just froze. I believe he was in shock. We both looked at for it for another 30 seconds and we screamed out to my uncle ((name deleted)) and his Dad. After we screamed out the UFO tuned all green and slowly moved around the side of the house. Then my uncle ((name deleted)) came into the room. he yelled at us and told us to go back to bed. After he left I changed my pajamas and looked out he side window to see nothing. The next day we went to the local city library and I looked at a UFO book and saw the exact same UFO. I have since watched a UFO program on TV and I heard someone describing the exact same UFO colors and everything.

Two lights hover over my house silently and then begin to drift away rapidly gaining speed disappearing in a split second.

It was a clear cold night in November of 1967. I was living in the upstate New York town of Saratoga Springs. My two older brothers and I were Boy Scouts and my father was our scout troop leader. We were just returning home after a troop meeting in town.

As we came to a stop at the curb in front of our house, two lights in the sky over the house caught my eye - a red light and a green light. They were small, appearing to be spaced a couple feet apart horizontally. Immediately I thought to myself, “Piper Cub, Cessna; running lights, red starboard, green port side. (sic. Red light is on port/left side; green is on starboard/right side) Okay, wonder if there’s anything to snack on tonight?”

I exited my father’s station wagon, shut the door and looked up again to see the lights were still there, though a bit farther apart as if whatever it was had descended in altitude. They were standing still hovering there. My mind was rapidly abandoning the fixed wing aircraft narrative as I tried to reconcile the fact that the lights were hovering and there was no sound to be heard. Were it an airplane, given the space between the lights, I’d have put it at no more than two hundred feet overhead. All this mental processing was taking place rapidly and I called to my older brother who was coming around the front of the station wagon and told him to come look at this. My father and our assistant scout master, ((male name deleted)), were already going through the front door into the house to sit down, have a smoke and shoot the breeze.

My brother and I stared silently at the lights for a what may only been thirty to forty-five seconds. The night sky was quite black, the stars bright, but I could not see anything discreet between the lights. In the next moment, those lights began to drift off to our right, which was to the south as we stood. The lights moved in unison in a gentle sine wave, low amplitude, low frequency. Then the lights accelerated gaining amplitude and frequency in a split second, merging into a single point of light, cutting a long trail of light as if on an oscilloscope, and disappeared all the way out to the vanishing point to the south.

My brother and I burst into astonished excitement, neither of us able to believe what we’d just seen. We ran into the house, both shouting to my father and the assistant scoutmaster, Roger, that we just saw a UFO. While we were desperately trying to describe what we saw, my father pulled out his imaginary violin and in a mocking way, began playing us his “tell me another one” song. ((male name deleted)) was sitting silent and motionless in an easy chair next to my father’s chair.

((male name deleted)) was an active duty Air Force ((senior)) sergeant in charge at the local radar tracking site on the southern edge of town at that time. He sat there in the living room, silent, one elbow on the arm of the chair, head propped on his thumb and forefinger, cigarette in the other hand. As I turned to look at him, he took a drag on his cigarette, narrowed his eyes and slowly nodded to me a silent “Yes.” Note: The pattern of flight this craft exhibited closely matches that of a UFO seen by Mr. Peter Davenport as a child. His description is relayed in a podcast of a presentation he gave at an Ozark Mountain UFO Conference. I just now watched that podcast and was compelled to offer this account. I've heard only one other such description of this pattern of motion as a UFO departs a location.
