Gigantic translucent triangle in the night sky.

I had come home late one night from work and went inside for a while, then went outside for a smoke. When I looked up at the bright, almost full moon, off to the side of my house I saw a gigantic triangle (approx. a football field) with a beveled edge so I could tell it was not one dimensional, but it was translucent because I could see the moonlight glow through it. I just stood there in complete awe staring at it wondering if it knew I was there. Then as sudden as it showed itself it became transparent and disappeared.

This is not my first strange sighting in the area, and it probably won't be the last because of the mountains it seems to be a hot spot for activity. This was one of the more strange sightings that I have witnessed.
