White spheres (dots) darting around and emitting sparks at random

Multiple people have witnessed these dots in the sky that sort of look like stars, but they move around in a darting fashion and every once in a while it looks like it sparks and they are colorful. There are more than one, but they are randomly placed through out the sky.

Right now it is a little after 4am est here and it was a few hours ago that they were first seen by three people. Then later on, another person came home (that would be me) from shopping and was told about it. I, of course, thought they were losing their minds, but sure enough I have seen it with my own eyes. One of the witnesses said that the one they were watching earlier seemed to disappear and then when I got home it was back.

I know the constellation Orion, so I went and stared at it and the star that is his left hand didn't move or spark or anything.... so I used it like a control group so that to me shows that I am not losing my mind too. It can't be mass hallucination.....since it occurred at different times. At first I thought that it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.... but I went out and looked multiple times..... not staring for a long time (which can distort your vision). I would just look for 30 seconds or so and it would dart to the right....then the left...then it would make like a loop....then these little sparks.... and it happened multiple times....

As we continue to watch them as it is now almost 4:30 am est they are still there but changing their main position slightly. For the most part when they dart to the left or right or up and down and do the loop they always seem to come back to the point where they started. Out of curiosity we looked around in the sky and have found at least 4 at this point, but it is cold out there and we (or at least I) do not want to keep looking... We are freaked out enough.

The witnesses are as follows : a 13 year old girl, a 46 year old woman, and two younger women ages 28 year old and a 38 year old. The 13 year old is still in school, the 46 year old graduated high school, the 28 year old has her GED and the 38 year old went to 1 year of college. The 46 year old is the mother of the 28 year old and she is currently on DSS. 38 year old is a stay at home mom. and the 28 year old is too. Well, that is all I can think of..... I do have one last thing to say and that is.... I know I saw what I saw....and It really makes me feel uneasy. Thank you for your time. (I also called and left a msg on the hotline.)

Slow moving red lights descended, disappeared then reappeared and ascended; dogs barked at them.

At approximately 21:00 during the last week in February of this year (I just now found out I could report this here) I was on my back porch talking on the phone with a friend and my 2 labrador retrievers were in the back yard. Suddenly I noticed an oval shaped set of reddish, ethereal lights approaching from the southwest just above the treeline about 100 yards from me. There was no sound associated with this low, slow moving multiple red light object. The woods behind my house are my property in all directions for at least a mile and there are no buildings on the property except my home. Both dogs began to bark like mad and started running toward where the light was descending. My nearest neighbor lives 3/4 of a mile away and I have almost no light intereference because Stone Ridge is rural. In fact, I live only 8 miles from where Whitley Streiber used to have his upstate cabin (Accord, NY). In fact, I spoke on the phone with Mr. Streiber several years ago and after talking for about an hour he confirmed that I was witnessing multiple viewings of UFO's. Anyway, the dogs gave some chase towards the reddish object which consisted of 6 or 7 lights which I could not determine if they were separate from each other because of the strange "ethereal" glow the emitted They did move in complete unison though. The glow was confusing. The lights lowered all the into the woods (definitely on my property) and then I couldn't see them. Meanwhile I was describing to my friend on the phone exactly what I was seeing because I couldn't believe it. I lost sight of the lights once they dipped into the woods and the dogs relaxed their barking and I wasn't about to go into the woods to go see for myself what it was because it was too weird. I kept talking to my friend about it and I described it to her and kept talking about it when about 6 or 7 minutes later (maybe less time went by but not too much) the exact same silent 6 or 7 weird glowing reddish hazy orbs all lifted up again to just above the tree level and floated off the way it came. When it lifted up the dogs started going berserk again but they stopped short of chasing into the woods too. When I went back into the house my husband wanted to know what on earth had made the dogs make so much noise barking and I told him what had happened and he told me that I had just imagine the lights. Well, I didn't imagine them. It's the 3rd time I've seen similar lights while walking my dogs in our back field but this was the only time they descended and then ascended again. I went into the woods the next day when it was light out (obviously) and checked around to see if I could see anything unusual on the ground but I found nothing and my woods are pretty remote and I was kind of freaked out, even in the daytime with the dogs (who didn't seem to sniff at anything overly either). So, I got out of there fairly fast because I've heard that some people have seen "greys" in broad daylight in Stone Ridge and I think I'd be scared to death if I saw something in daylight that I couldn't expain. In closing I just wish to say that if I have ever been abducted I have no memory of it but I believe that my younger son may have been. He's too young to talk to about it. It scares me though.

strange lights in field sound similar to another area sighting

I was just recently browsing through your files and came across a sighting on 10/20/94and it immediatly reminded me of an encounter I had while working as night dispatcher for a major local oil company. Any way one of the service men called over the radio that he was stopped on lucas ave. about 3/4 of a mile south of rosendale elementary school and that he and about 5 or6 other people were watching these mullti colered lights in the corn field next to the road . the lights lasted for 2 to 3 minutes before completely disappearing without a trace. i dont believe the serviceman was "pulling my chain" due to the fact of the tone in his voice and the voices of the others that the mic picked up when he was transmitting. incedently this location cant be more than 3miles in a straight line to the other sighting in stone ridge on 10/20/94

While riding home at night, my wife, daughter, and I saw an object in the sky to our left over a cornfield. From the center of the object, a bright white light shone upon the field. My wife thought it was a helicopter searching for something. As we drove the object intersected the road. I stopped the car and we saw above us a large, silent, triangular shaped craft with multicolored lights on each point of the triangle.

My wife, daughter, and I were driving home on route 209 frim Kingston, NY to our home in Stone Ridge. While driving we saw an object off to the left hovering above a cornfield. There was a white light coming from the bottom of the object, shining on the field. My wife speculated that it might be a helicopter searching for something. We continued driving when I noticed that the object was starting to move in a direction that would have it intersect the road about a mile or two ahead of us. We continued to watch the object as it move closer towards the road. I pulled off the road onto the soft shoulder, and we exited the car. The object crossed above us a few hundred feet. It was perfectly silent, triangular in shape, with one light on each point of the triangle. The lights were rs, green, and blue. What made it so eerie was it's slow, silent movement. After passing over us it moved to a field on our right, and then sped off to the south. It traveled so fast that it practically disappeared. l

Sitting on bench at UCCC. Looked up to the West and saw an oval UFO. Closed my eyes because my mind could not believe what it was witnessing.. Opened my eyes and the object was standing still in the air.

I felt very scared and closed my eyes again. When I opened my eyes the UFO was gone.

It was broad daylight.

(The UCCC college is south of Kingston, NY and I was sitting on the bench facing the West--not East.) Sorry, had my directions wrong. (Made a drawing of the UFO, but I'm not sure if I still have the drawing.)

Huge, low flying, silent cube shaped object with lights on bottom travelling about 60 m.p.h. over Stone Ridge.

Date is approximate, however it was the night of one of my best friend's birthday party who turned 18 on April 4, 1985. The party was actually set to begin around 9 P.M. but I needed to get there early because I was bringing my entire stereo system (which included a then-rare equalizer with spectrum analyzer). I didn't have many friends back then, but whenever there were parties, I would bring my whole stereo, and for a while I would be the center of attention as dozens of drunk and stoned teenagers stared at the dancing lights of the equalizer in a dark room while listening to heavy metal music. I, on the other hand, never drank or smoked or used any drugs in high school, and in 1985 had left high school a year early to go to the local community college in Stone Ridge, NY. I didn't see my friends very much that year, so I was willing to put up with their smoking and drinking because otherwise I would never see them. This meant driving my parent's car with the windows open even when it was cold so that the smell of marijuana and cigarettes would not stay in the car. On this particular night I stopped on Tongore Road in Stone Ridge to pick up another freind who had no desire to get a driver's license even though he was 18. This friend had a neighbor nearby who suppled him with marijuana and it was expected that he bring some to the party. As I drove northwest on Tongore Rd. away from Rt. 209, he started smoking some of the marijuana, so we opened our windows. We got about a mile away, to the flat area down the hill from Thumbprint Antiques, headed towards the Drumlin. At that point my friend was already acting a little high, and was not paying attention to our conversation. I saw what appeared to be a large house on a hill to the north with a lot of floodlamps turned on. I said something to the effect that it must be nice to be that rich to afford such a big house and keep all the lights turned on. For some reason, I felt like making a point of how he was not listening, so in the middle of the flats, there was a small dirt driveway leading to a field (like the kind farmers use to access their fields with a tractor), and I pulled in a few feet. Then I pointed out the big house with all the lights on. But when my friend finally saw it, we both realized it was not a house but a moving object. Within a few seconds we both realized that the object was huge because it was several miles away and was as big as a house would appear from a quarter-mile. It was travelling directly towards us. It took a couple of minutes before it was nearly overhead. We could both see that it seemed to have a flat bottom with many flashing lights and may have been cube shaped, although it was difficult to see the sides of the object with all the flashing lights on the bottom shining in our faces. In that flat area there was one large tree, and the object appeared to be getting lower, as if to land, and was not more than a hundred feet above the tree. I had shut off the car when we pulled in, and we had the windows open to air out the smoke, but we both noticed that there was no noise whatsoever. Realizing almost silmultaneously that this was no normal aircraft (because it was silent, only 100 feet in the air, travelling very slow, and as big as a football field) we panicked, thinking that this thing was about to land on top of us and crush us. I remember feeling like an ant must feel just before a shoe steps on it on the sidewalk. So I started the car and squealed the tires, backing out of the driveway and drove away at the highest speed a 1973 Pinto could do. We headed back towards Rt. 209 on Tongore Rd. up a steep hill where the car would not go over 30 m.p.h. and the object was nearly directly overhead. It was going slightly faster than us and had gained some altitude to clear the trees on the ridge where Rt. 209 runs through Stone Ridge. We followed it down Cottekill Rd. to Lucas Turnpike where the speed limit increases to 55 m.p.h.. At that point I was driving about 65 or 70 but the object was going a little bit faster. We followed it for about 20 or 25 minutes before losing sight of it as it cleared the Shawangunk mountain ridge near the Mohonk Mountain House. We had traveled about 15 miles and the object had traveled about 25 miles during those 25 minutes, and it's speed seemed to go from about 35 m.p.h. to about 75 m.p.h., much slower than any aircraft I have ever seen. We drove over the mountain to see if we could see it over the Hudson valley near New Paltz, but the winding road and steep hills slowed us down. By the time we got to the Hudson valley, it was gone. When we finally arrived at the birthday party a couple of hours late, the other people were only concerned about the marijuana. The keg was already empty, and they seemed a little upset that we were so late. They accused us both of making up the story so that we could smoke the marijuana ourselves (which I definitely did not do). My friend, the birthday guy, laughed when we told him the story, and 20 years later still does not believe either of us who saw the object, even though we have stuck to the same story for so many years. The friend who saw it aknowledges that he saw it 20 years ago and remembers chasing it many miles down dark rural roads, but seems content not to question what it was. Whatever it was, it was big, like the size of a city block of apartment buildings 5 or 10 stories tall, but seemingly solid. This event is one of the biggest reasons I have never been on an airplane, because it seemed that even a jumbo jet could have crashed into this object and only dented it.
