Silent disk object spotted with three lights seen in night sky

I was in my car at 9:06 PM when I saw a disk shape above me, what was strange was how it looked at first like it was moving closer so i suspected it to be a drone or plane. But the 3 lights weren’t blinking, and the object wasn’t making any noise once I got out of the car. I began to take a video and then saw it was passing overhead, not coming closer. The object looked grey, and the whole object pulsated with a yellow light 3 times, then stopped. The object looked like a disk with a half circle on top. As it got farther away it looked like the individual lights were now changing colors and flashing, although this was seen through my camera lense. It was moving about at the speed of a small plane (150 miles/hr?) and made no sound whatsoever. I couldn’t tell the height of it though it was high enough to not be a drone, and if it was a UFO it was incredibly small meaning it was probably pretty far away (500 ft?). There was only one object I spotted.

Two drones/crafts with flashing lights moved completely silently at roughly 1500 foot elevation. The closer craft/drone had a rectangular silhouette with lights on it and flashing. The front craft was further away by the time we noticed and looked almost triangular, hard to tell. I drove to the fields to watch their direction and they went from north front St to directly over mohawk mountain in a straight line.

A large fireball was observed in the middle distance

I was watching television with my husband, and something caught my eye out of the large window to my left. This happens from time and time, and is typically the headlights from cars reflected off our barn, a couple hundred feet from our house.

When I turned to look, I saw what looked to be a shooting star, though much larger and much closer than I had ever seen. It was also much lower down to the ground. It did have a long tail, and streaked through the air, not particularly fast, as has always been the case with other shooting stars I’ve observed in the past. It almost looked like it could’ve been a part of a firework, but no fireworks were observed or recorded in our town, or surrounding towns on this night, and there was no audible noise from fireworks, either. I also did not note it dissipating in brightness, or falling in a pattern that you would expect a firework to do.

It threw me so, that I did not even get a chance to point it out to my husband, until it had disappeared from view. It flew out of my sight, obscured by our barn, but a bit farther in the background where there is a few miles of wetlands and forest brush. My check or local social networking groups yielded no other reports (where everything and anything is typically reported).

I kept an eye out for the remainder of the evening, but did not see anything else. I also did not leave my house to investigate any further. Probably unrelated, but worth noting was that the next morning there were dozens of vultures all over town, which seemed surprising to everyone, and has never happened before in the time that we’ve lived here.

Driving on interstate 84 east bound in a car, we saw what appeared to be a large airplane approximately the size of a 747 heading in what would be a westbound direction, approximately 5,000 -8,000 feet and it appeared to be suspended and not moving. The plane was not moving and what appeared to be a helicopter hovering near it.

10/20/2017 - 8:35 a.m. - Driving on Rt. 32 Southbound toward New Paltz from Rosendale, first observed appox. 1/2 mile North of Horsenden Road while passing Clearwater Park on left. Object appeared to be white-ish silver moving SSW at high speed (I was driving 55 mph), flying low enough to observe no wings of any kind. Appeared to be teardrop shaped with point facing direction of travel, no lights but did observe "glint" of light from Sun reflecting off surface of object indicating it was a solid, reflective mass. That part of Rt. 32 has trees on both sides, object clearly visible while following road then became obscured by trees. turned onto Horesenden Road, observed once through trees when turned onto road then lost. Did not see again once tree line ended and had more visible area to observe.

7-9 lights crossing the sky in a haphazard formation.

Stepping outside of my home tonight I approached the backyard and peering at the sky saw seven to nine lights moving across the sky in formation. When I sighted the objects they were high in the southern sky, they moved northward changing formations changing from a line formation to a V with objects weaving in and out of each other and disorganized at times. The light emitted by the objects was a gently pulsating white light. As they continued northward I noticed a commercial jet in the distance, appearing to be ahead of the formation. It was then that the objects disappeared from sight completely. Around one minute later I saw another object of similar size and appearance cross the sky in the same direction, also disappearing. They were silent.

Eight triangular shaped UFOs with very bright lights and an orb white in color all moving slowly.

It a clear dark sky, and we spotted two triangular crafts, with three bright lights, in the center a white light with a red light on one side and a blue light on the other.

Then six more crafts appeared in the northeast sky each flying a distance from each other they were moving slowly and steady towards the south.

They moved without making any sounds. Also, in the sky we sighted a orb like image, whitish in color.

Silent, pulsating, and maneuvering red light in early evening sky.

On evening walk as sunset occurred and saw bright pulsating orange/red light above treeline to my right. I ran to a clearing and watched the light apparently climb and then arc towards the SE and then slow down, almost to a standstill - with absolutely no noise. A commercial jet came into the field of view moving from North to South, with normal red and white navigation lights visible and with normal jet noise, and was at a lower altitude than pulsating light. The light then continued off into the southern/southeastern sky until it was no longer visible. So, no incredible speeds, but definitely and unusual brightness and pulsation to the light, and absolutely no sound.

My first thoughts were a drone of some kind, but it seemed too high and moved too far for a recreational drone. Also, what I saw definitely sounds similar to what others in the area are describing recently on this board.

Dark matte wedge-shaped craft; AM radio interference

I witnessed a single, dark matte, wedge-shaped craft moving rapidly from nearly due north to NNE at 1717 hrs. Altitude was approximately 2000 ft., and distance was approximately 250 ft.

I live north of Stewart Int'l Airport (formerly Stewart AFB) so have grown up seeing experimental military aircraft. This vehicle, however, had a "wobbling" or warping effect as it crossed in front of me. I thought for a moment that a protrusion had possibly unrolled on the craft directly toward my eye, but as the craft moved past, I could see no change in its profile. The effect remained for the very brief time the vehicle was in sight. It affected the entire side of the craft, but I was unable to see if it extended above or below. There was no evidence of exhaust behind the craft.

The vehicle was moving very rapidly at a low altitude for this area.

AM radio had several bursts of high-speed Morse-like code on lower bands.

It was followed several minutes later by several choppers in the same direction, too high to make out any features other than that they were dark (not typical light-colored medevac helicopters of this area).

I was hiking in Miniwaska state park in New Paltz, NY, on Saturday 9/14/13. Towards the end of the hike (approx 3-4 pm) my friends and I climbed to the top of the Skytop Tower at Mohonk Mt Preserve. We were just enjoying the view and the weather.

I was taking photos with my phone, mostly of my friends, but one or two looking at the Shawangunk Ridge in the park to the west of the tower. I didn’t see anything myself at the time, but later on when I was looking through my photos noticed a strange object in the sky in one photo.

I thought it must have been an insect that passed in front of the camera, or a helicopter that I just hadn’t remembered seeing. Attached is the photo.

Three incredibly white, bright lights in a row that did not change their angle as I passed them, despite being incredibly close.

I was a student attending SUNY New Paltz and was driving home at the time. It was late at night - I remember it being after midnight, and before 2 am. More close to 1am.

Some time into my trip - perhaps 20 minutes or so - I saw a great blob of lights in the sky that I know to be the lights of aircraft converging into one when viewing at that perfect angle from a distance. Being that this area is around many populated airports, I thought nothing of it - though I was looking forward to taking a good look at it. I consider myself to be a skywatcher, so I tend to inadvertently "memorize" flight paths, repeating light patterns, types of aircraft, etc....though I can't say I have a "formal" knowledge on the subject. I am just attentive to the sky.

I'm watching this series of lights for quite some time waiting for the lights to become detached from their "blob" like position (in other words, I was waiting for my angle to change enough so I can glimpse the airplane perhaps coming in to land). However, it became apparent that these lights were significantly closer than anticipated; what turned out to be a large craft far away but coming in for landing turned out to be quite obviously just over the highway and not much higher than the tree lines.

The light was a bright white - typical of aircraft. However, it was a solid "chain" of lights in a straight, horizontal line: 1 bulging white light on the left side, a small one in the center, and a bulging white light on the right side. On top of that, it was incredibly bright - I remember the light, when hitting my windshield, refracted outwards somewhat in a way where the light was "diffused" through the glass. It is difficult to explain, perhaps it isn't even worth mentioning, but it just seemed TOO bright.

I'm still thinking that this is definitely a landing aircraft. But why over the highway? Surely these lights are so bright because they are landing lights. But why is the craft not moving? Is my speeding too rapid for me to accurately discern the movement of this craft? I figured in the affirmative, but my startling and persistent thought was that regardless of how fast I was going (60mph or more) it should not have mattered when dealing with large aircraft coming in for landing. A Helicopter, maybe.

Now, I'm very close. I begin to feel fear, actually. I was surprised at this.

The reason I felt fear was that I realized that the 3 lights did not change angle despite the fact I was rapidly approaching it.

If one were to approach 3 lights in a horizontal row from a distance and proceed to walk passed it, one would logically expect that due to the limitations of our line of sight, at one point while passing the horizontal chain of lights, they would converge into a single point due to the fact that I am currently passing it. Just the same as looking down a paper towel roll is a simple circle, but turn it sideways and it is a cylinder.

What scared me is that I realized that the lights were not changing in relation to my angular change. As I passed it, it was the same exact 3 lights in a row with no variation. It almost gave the impression that there must have been lights fixed around the basin of the craft equidistance, but even then I did not see any indication of more than 3 lights even while close. If I could spot the cabin lights on the occasional low flying aircraft, I would have thought that I would spot incredibly bright lights fixated on the bottom of a craft not far above the treeline. However, it was just the 3 bright lights.

At this point, I took a glimpse at the craft while it was directly at my 9 O'clock. Again, 3 straight lights, and perhaps a slight indication of other lighting - but no indication of anything similar to the initial 3 lights.

I had rolled my window down quite some time before this part of the scenario. Despite being on a highway, my mind told me that a hovering helicopter or a landing aircraft would yield enough noise for me to hear over the highway. At the very least, I felt that I would be able to differentiate between the typical sound of the highway when travelling, and perhaps a sound that is out of the ordinary in addition to that sound. I live in a populated area and often hear helicopters landing for car accidents, and like I said, I'm not knowledgeable with aircraft, but have certainly been exposed to airports, driving near low flying craft, etc.

I did not hear a sound. Not a thing over the highway. The "whoosh" of the driving was loud, sure - but if you were to see the lights, one would think that it would indicate a large energy/audio output. This was not the case, even after I slowed down to 50 mph.

I would also like to add that there were people driving me behind me at this point in time that would have very obviously seen this craft. It was not able to be missed or overlooked. However, it could be said that the fact that no cars passed me while I was going at a (comparative) snail's pace at 45-50mph on the highway looking at this thing and not a single vehicle passed me could maybe indicate that these individuals, too, saw this craft and were indeed were slowing down to take a look at it. Of course, this is speculation.

I want to be very clear here - the odds of this being a truly anomalous sighting are nil. The frequency of aircraft in the area, active airports and things in that nature lead most (and myself) to lean toward the terrestrial aircraft explanation. However, I bring this to you due to my recent study into your work, and I felt inspired.

I would like now to include the hyperlink to the video I took of this object. I do believe that it is a good insight into my mind set at the time - I saw the object from a far enough distance away to prepare my phone that I was going to record with. Because I became increasingly bamboozled and fearful as I approached this object, my voice in the video becomes obviously elevated and uneasy. In addition to that, you can hear my roll down the window to listen to the object as I stated above. In other words, I essentially speak aloud my exact developing mindset as I become increasingly confused. I really, really felt silly taking my phone out to film this at first. I hit the record button, kept driving, and realized I had something interesting.

Please make note: If you examine the comments on this Youtube video, I am going to attach, a gentlemen recently left a comment explaining that he saw the craft up close and it flew over him emitting no sound whatsoever. He also indicated that he felt a brush of air wash over him as the craft passed overhead. This was a development I did not know about until just 3 days ago when he left the comment, which was the last comment this video has received in quite some time.

Brilliantly colored orange oval shaped object, seen from very close range.

The sighting occurred at approximately 9.40 pm on the night of March the 19th, in New Paltz, New York. My step sister and I were having a cigarette on the side deck of my home when I noticed an extremely brightly colored orange light moving across the sky from a westward direction heading south. It was a very dark, clear night sky and I immediately recognized the light to be brighter than anything I have ever seen before. My step sister had her back to it and after allowing it a split second to register I immediately grabbed her attention and pointed her to the light source. We quickly moved off the deck to get a better view and angle on the light. I initially thought I would see a blinking light or quickly see an explanation. Soon realizing what was happening I ran back to the deck side door and called for my mother and stepfather. Then I ran back to my left side yard and saw the definite shape of a oval object that looked as if it were blazing on fi! re. The object was roughly 300 feet above the ground and the easiest way to describe it was a Japanese balloon glowing bright orange, this was the logic I used to portray it. The object/orb was impossibly brilliant orange and from a point blank view had a definite shape with absolutely no wings/sound/or blinking lights. The light remained consistent throughout its entire flight. My mother and stepfather and stepsister and I all watched as it gently moved almost hovering across the sky as if it were being pulled by a string. The object appeared to be moving very gently and slowly but covering a lot of space at the same time. The speed seemed to remain the same but within a few minutes it was very high in the sky and it seemed to be moving at a gradual incline. The four of us agreed without question it was something we had never seen before and was simply unexplainable. The defining details I clearly have imprinted in my mind were its brilliant color, definite shape a! nd precise smooth line of travel and ability to cover a lot of! space i n a short amount of time. There in my opinion was zero chance of misidentifying this object, it was from a point blank view point and very definite in shape and color. My stepfather thought at first it was a fireball.

Black Triangular Aircraft w/ Three White Lights Flying Low in New Paltz, NY

At 17:42 EST I was in my car driving west-bound on Rt. 299 (Main St) into New Paltz, New York. I was approaching the intersection of Rt. 32 South and Main Street (right before you enter the village, near the Rite Aid Plaza right before you go up the small hill) when out the window to my left I saw 3 white lights in a triangle form in the sky. It appeared that the three lights were attached to some sort of triangular shaped object. Two of the lights were blinking and were brighter than the third light. The lights were on the 3 points of the triangle. The triangular object was very close to being equilateral and it seemed that there was definitely a slim, black object of some sort in between the three lights. In terms of size, the craft was about 1 and 1/4 Full Moons in size.

At first glance, I thought the object was not moving at all, but as I continued to watch it while driving, I realized it was moving very very slowly eastward. It was difficult to tell how far from the ground it was, but when I first saw it, I thought it was a low-flying plane--it was probably about 1000 feet from the ground.

I was about to lose sight of it, so I took a left hoping to see it from a different angle. However, after I turned I complete lost sight of it. I quickly drove back to where I had originally seen it (I was only on the other street for about a minute) but it was gone.

I have never seen anything like it before. Although I only witnessed the sight for a total of about 35-50 seconds, it was very bizarre to see.

A strange large light hovering and slowly descending until it disappears over the Shawangunk Mountains.

I witnessed something that looked light it could have been a large, bright star, however, it appeared from up high in the sky and then slowly descended lower and lower until it disappeared seemingly getting smaller and moving away. I have never seen anything so bizarre. I though perhaps it was this a hovering plane of some sort, however, I witnessed a plane flying under it and it was moving at a normal pace whereas this large light of sorts moved slowly and at times appeard to just hover. When I stared at it, I though I saw flikering lights within the light. I though my eyes were playing tricks on me. Can anyone help me confirm this siting?

This is something wierd.

I was recently on a retreat with the organization I work for up in Mohonk Mountain Hotel. Mohonk Mountain is located in New Paltz, New York in the Catskill Mountains. While I was there I took several pictures with my cell phone camera of the beautiful country and the surrounding mountains along the Hudson River. When I got home and started to view the pics I had taken. I noticed that one of the pics appears to have something strange captured in it. I figured I would send it to Ntl. UFO and see what you guys think. This picture has not been altered in anyway. I took this picture, uploaded it from my cell phone to my email account, and when I got home downloaded it and several others. The picture that I'm sending you appears to have three red objects and a plane or jet chasing it. I know this sounds crazy, but please see for yourself. I would be happy to discuss this further if you have any questions.

Dark black flying saucer with 3 VERY BRIGHT lights landed in my backyard for 10 seconds and shot back in the sky very fast.

Was in the basement with my sister. We ran upstairs and looked out the sliding glass door with my mom. We witnessed a dark black floating saucer with only 3 VERY BRIGHT color changing spot lights on the bottom of the saucer slowly descended towards the ground and landed for 10 seconds.

Right after is shot up to the sky extremely fast in one direction spinning like a Frisbee. NO LOUD NOISES. NO CRAZY WIND. I randomly was talking to my boyfriend and he made me do this in case something can be done with it in any way shape and form.

As a child in upstate New York Iwitnessed a bright light moving erratically and quickly in the night sky. ( I currently live in the UK)

As a 10 year old I was lying the the back of my parents station wagon on a Saturday evening with my mother driving. We were on our way home from a 7:30 church service In our town. I was dreamily looking up at the stars when I saw a star move from a stationary position, at a 45 degree angle down and to the left as I viewed it. This was some distance away perhaps 60- 80 degrees off of the horizon. The “star” then moved rapidly (blink of an eye fast), parallel with the horizon, to the right and without hesitation changed direction and moved upwards at a 45 degree angle and to the left crossing the original downward trajectory. It then vanished. To my mind it looked EXACTLY like a shooting star but as I thought even as a 10 year old, “shooting stars don’t take sharp turns nor do they “shoot” upwards”. The pattern was very tight and did not cover a great deal of the sky.

I was only 10 and a big fan of everything weird and wonderful. Having said that I remember being surprised by this as I had NEVER seen anything like it, wasn’t looking for anything, wasn’t thinking about such things at the time and had never heard of such a thing and it has remained burned in my memory ever since.
