An object with lights on either end, moving perpendicular to the lights. Ahead of it was a blurry white bow wake in a crystal clear sky

Walked out to walk the dogs. looked up like I always do. Saw a blurry white crescent shape moving west to east. Noticed two white lights behind the crescent shape, which I took to be a bow wake. Two lights moved in unison, as though attached, like wing top lights on a big plane. Seemed much higher than a plane and made no sound, neither in the moment, nor later. My partner saw it slightly before me. 2 min, duration.

Slow pulse orange light moved in non-aerodynamic manner

In the sky southeast of Potsdam appeared an orange light that would disappear and reappear (think like a steady 3 to 4 second pulse) in the sky. As it reappeared each time, it was appearing the same distance apart. The movement was not natural or aerodynamically explained (definitely not a plane or helicopter). I pulled over to get a better look and it stopped. Drove home from that point (about 4 minutes) and had 2nd witness outside meeting me. Upon looking South it started again then stopped again for about 30 seconds. No further sighting after that.

Early December, 2013, I saw two UFOs in the low south-eastern sky while in Potsdam, NY. I’m a big airplane enthusiast and very interested in astronomy, so I always have my eyes on the sky no matter what time of day.

This was around 6pm, against and completely black sky. I was walking across campus and saw two extremely bright orange lights. They were right next to each other and at an angle.

For a small moment, my gut told me it was a plane with bright lights on the tips of its wings that was banking hard.

I took a step back from behind the tree that was now blocking my view to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I saw the two golden orange orbs moving slowly, in separate directions. I watched them for about 3 seconds before the lights faded out right before my eyes. One of them faded slightly before the other, and both were moving in slightly different directions.

I noticed there was no sound at all, and if it was the plane I thought initially, I would have heard so! mething. The plane would have been a few hundred feet in front of me, and there would have been sound.

Like I said, I’m always looking to the sky. I know what satellites look like. I know what the space station looks like. I know what Venus looks like. Two golden orbs, moving slowly, fade away to nothing.

Here’s where it gets weird for me. Yesterday was December 13, 2013. My friend and I were making our trip from Potsdam, NY to Albany, NY. An hour south east of Potsdam is a town called Tupper Lake.

When we got to Tupper Lake, the sun had just gone down, and the sky had a pinkish blue tint to it. I turned to the left to see two golden orange orbs in the east. They were the exact lights I had seen in Potsdam weeks earlier. This time, they appeared to be almost directly over us, and about 300 feet apart from each other. These were the same lights, and in the same place.

The first lights I saw in Potsdam were right over Tupper Lake because it was in the South Eastern sky. I started yelling to my friend in the passenger seat to look at the lights! He was looking at the street lights, car lights, lights from the mall…he didn’t see the orbs in the 3 seconds that I saw them. Just as before, the lights were there for 3 seconds, then faded out while moving slowly in different directi! ons.

Later in the drive, we would observe what I KNOW was Venus fading in and out. It was extremely bright

Orange fireball in sky.

I was walking, talking with friends about Jupiter in the night sky, and I looked above to the Southern-ish sky and saw a bright orange fireball about twice the brightness and diameter of the appearance of Jupiter (Currently the brightest object in the sky following the moon). After nearly 3 to 4 seconds, it faded away into nothing. The object did not move, and was extremely bright. I have since heard of four similar events in the surrounding areas near Potsdam, NY, in the past 7 days.

Bright light splits into three

It was about 9:15pm when I was driving down a highway with very little traffic. I remember that it was a very clear night and you could see a lot of the stars in the distance. As I was driving I noticed a very bright light simply flash off to the right of me, in the distance. At first I though it was the light on a cell phone tower, however the bright flash diminished into a small object that began to move. The object looked like a bright star that would appear and disappear several times. I kept watching the object while still driving. Suddenly it disappeared for a few seconds and then reemerged as a bright light that split into three other moving lights. The three objects moved across the sky in different directions and then simply stopped and moved back in the direction they came from. At that point I began to lose track of them because I was driving into a well-lit town, so it was hard to see anything in the sky.

Orange light / V-shaped

My mother and I were driving home from a friend's. We were about at the Toyota dealership about 2 minutes out of Potsdam, Ny. My mother was just looking at the sky, it was very clear out that night. All of a sudden she says 'What is that?', looking at the orange light in the sky. Then she said 'Oh my Gosh, Look over there in the sky!'. I saw a street light orange colored ball light up and turn, almost like a lighthouse, then disappear. It was probably 300 feet in the air and maybe a mile away. Then we drove past the tree line into an open area and we saw three of the same color lights, same shape and size. We looked over and saw it was accompanied by 2 smaller lights at a 45 degree angle to the ball. Then we started driving in the direction of town it was over and it was gone. We went down to the park and saw it a few times more in the distance and it was gone.

Triangular with red/white/blue/orange lights, danced through the sky, also flew vertically and gave off partial beam of red..

I was smoking a cigarette on the fire escape and i thought i saw a shooting star. But it moved upward and then back down. It then hovered, it seemed to waver around in the sky. We watched it dance around for an hour and fifteen minutes. It was moving from the north to north north east and downward(over the full time.). It was triangular shaped, the lights followed the sides to the bottom tips to the top tip, but none on the center bottom. They gave off different flashing colors:mostly blue/white(these were more constant-harder to tell apart but you could notice a difference at times), red, almost orange at times. the red light seemed to appear more in the middle, while white was on the bottom and blue seemed to remain near the top tip. near 4:00 it seemed to project some weird red light. It was not a beam, but more like a red dash in the sky. This light would flash on and off, but only appeared about 7 times. I almost stopped watching until i saw that different light. and the sound, it was a dull roar, easy to dismiss, almost the sound of a helicoptor, but the sound was too constant, it just wasn't a helicoptor. One plane flew by about 5 minutes before i could no longer see it. It flew over the ship i was watching about 2 minutes after the red beams flashed. the ufo seemed to almost get nervous and hovered around quicker than before. I have a tremendous feeling of fear, uncontrollable cold chills, my eyes are teering up. i can't get rid of it.

I do not know the exact date, but it was late summer in Potsdam NY during the 4th of july weekend around 3 or 4 years ago, I think it was 2000. I was riding my bike down Bay street headed towards Pierpont ave when I noticed bright lights coming from about 40-50 yards above the water of Racket River to my right. There were multiple lights in a vertical line following each other, if you looked directly at them it would look like the shape of the big an little hand on a clock lit up like it was 1:25. they came on like a switch, the power was bright enough to cast shadows from the trees and houses in front of the water. It was dusk and i assumed the light source was fire works because of the holiday. But when I looked at them they were motionless, they were not falling down like a firework cascade would normally do. I realized pretty quick that all of the lights were slowly moving together as if they were all connected to the same object. Then the lights when out, they were only illuminated brightly for less than 10-20 seconds. You could still see the light very dimly lit, the object was changing its position in the sky, it was turning from vertical to horizontal. I was silent, it made no noise I can recall. It was clear that it was triangle in shape, its size was around 50 yards roughly. It was hard to say how, but I fell like it was not that thick. It then moved very gradually up into the sky until i could no longer see it. The whole event took around 2-3 minutes, but I will never forget it. I thought it was a government project or something. Whatever it was I have never seen commercial technology move the way it did.

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND I LOOKED UP AND OUT THE FRONT WINDSHEILD OF MY CAR, WHEN I NOTICED TWO IRREGULAR SHAPPED SPHERES JUST DUE SOUTH. THEY WERE VERY CLOSE TO THE BRIGHTEST STAR IN THE SKY WHICH IS LOCATED TO THE RIGHT OF MARS. THESE TWO SPHERES LOOKED TO BE ONLY A FEW FEET APART. AFTER ABOUT 35 SECONDS OF SEEING THESE GOLDEN COLORED OBJECTS, THE RIGHT ONE BEGAN TO ADVANCE TOWARDS THE LEFT ONE AND THEY EVENTUALLY COMBINED, BECAME LARGER, MAYBE LIKE A 1/4 OF THE SIZED OF A FULL MOON AND THEN THEY DISSAPPEARED. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF THEM AFTER THAT, NO LIGHT IN THE SKY, NO SPARKS, NOTHING. THEY WERE ABOUT THE SIZE OF TWO STREET LIGHTS, JUST THE LIGHT PART NOT THE POLE. SO THEY WERE CONSIDERABLY LARGER THAN STARS BUT NOT AS BIG AS THE SUN OR MOON. THE CONVREGED AT THERE SIDES,WITH THE RIGHT ONE MOVING TOWARDS THE LEFT ONE.
