Extreme altitude object moving at high speed North. Possible near Earth pass by a large asteroid.

Event Date: 01/17/2016 Event Time: approximately 14:56 Central Time (GMT – 6:00) Location Coordinates: 32°37'55.0"N 95°27'34.0"W Location Name: Mineola Nature Preserve, Wood County, Texas Weather Conditions: 52° Fahrenheit, clear with scattered thin high altitude clouds, a light breeze, and with wind gusts up to 13mph.

Object description: The object appeared to be oblong in overall shape but irregular similar to a potato. It appeared to be silver blue very much like the moon seen during the daytime. Its apparent size was slightly smaller than your thumbnail viewed at arm's length. It appeared to be blurry or hazy like an object viewed through the atmosphere at great distance. This is in contrast with the commercial jets seen at the time that were in sharp detail and white in color. This object made no detectable noise, made no condensation trail, did not appear to be burning in any way, and was very obviously at an extreme altitude.

While visiting the Mineola Nature Preserve out on foot, me and one other family member we were watching the local aircraft. There was a small Cessna aircraft and a biplane flying at low altitudes, intermittently performing aerial acrobatics. This location is approximately 100 miles East of the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area and other commercial aircraft were traveling from West to East leaving the major airport hubs of the DFW area at midrange altitudes as they climbed towards but have not reached cruising altitudes. As we could easily hear the engine noise from the commercial aircraft, we would look up at them pass nearly directly overhead which is when we spotted the unknown object.

At approximately 14:56, as a commercial aircraft passed almost directly overhead traveling East South East we spotted this object traveling North. As we watched the object it progressed from almost directly overhead to the north. It became difficult to see as it reached an inclination of about 35° above the horizon.

The time it took to travel from approximately 90° above the horizon to 35° was between 15 seconds and 20 seconds. Immediately after loosing track of the object I checked the International Space Station (ISS) tracking website (http://www.isstracker.com/) to rule out the object as being the ISS. The website showed the then current position of the ISS as being over the Northern section of the Red Sea Moving North East.

Conclusion: After waiting a few days to see if this object was reported by any news agency I decided to see if I could calculate the objects speed.

Knowing that I can not accurately determine speed without knowing its altitude, I calculated this objects speed using two potential altitudes. These two altitudes were 35,000ft for a possible commercial or military aircraft and 200 miles for something passing at an orbital range. With the 35,000ft altitude, I came up with a minimum speed of 1,700mph up to 2,500mph. With the 200 mile altitude, I came up with a minimum speed of 51,300mph and a maximum of about 68,000mph. Given that there was no sonic boom and that the object was hazy and indistinct in a perfectly clear sky I believe that this object was outside of the atmosphere and passed very close to the Earth. The downside to this belief is that any object that could be seen during the day at that distance with that apparent size would have to be very very large.

Around 10:30p.m. as my wiife and I witnesses as we watched the sky to the west.From the northwest beyound the treeline we watched five seperate red-orande object rose above the trees one after another, at one point two object were in view at the same time Headed south across the sky, one after those seemed to dim and go down behind the trees, near straight down. As it left view another moved up and across the horizon with a fifth and last light appearing the same way and from the same direction, move south until it was out of view. It is hard to say a distance. The objects made no noticeable sound and did not blink. They almost appeared to be two lights on top of each other. My wife videoed the last two. I used a 25x rifle scope to try and view the light source. I only saw a light halo the color blending with the sky surrounding each light. They moved more rapidly and one went down over then back up in a way I've never seen any airplane or helicopter could move to my knowledge. It was similar to the Marfa lights only they came up and went out of view in the same manner as if following each other in very timed manner other than the third which looked to dim and move straight down, though as soon as we lost sight of it, the fourth appeared and continued as the first two. Used to seeing planes. Very different. A treeline and western sky were our view.Sorry, strange lights moved a cross the sky.

I took a picture with my cell phone of what I thought were some unusual clouds. when I checked the picture I noticed the dark object. Don't know what to think of it.

The object moved so smoothly but looked controlled by the choppy speed.

I was mowing my back yard, just finishing up. I pulled up to my gate and before i went to open it, i had to urinate. During the process i was looking at the sky, then i saw what looked just like a bright star moving fast but at a choppy speed. As i watched it moved a good distance before slowly disappearing into the darkness.It was moving too slow to be a shooting star, but to fast to be a plane or chopper. The sky was fairly clear,And i also gauged the distance of disappearance with two planes,The planes disappeared over the tree line. The light disappeared into the sky.The color of the craft or whatever it appeared white like a star.

Slow moving, low flying 3 light object, not a helicopter, with a dual humming sound.

While indoors and windows open I heard a medium pitched humming sound that was constant and increased in volume. Then another humming sound was heard and it was a much lower pitch and dominent. I usually dismiss sounds but this persisted and increased. As I looked out I saw a yellowish white light with a silver blue light above it and a red one below. They moved as if all one object but the two smaller lights (blue and red) were some distance above and below. I think I saw connecting arms from each small light to the middle light but cannot be sure. It traveled from W to E and took about an hour or more to disappear in the E. I thought it might be some sort of mapping satelite as it seemed very low and crept slowly overhead.

Saw a metalic football shaped object traveling 200 to 250 mph at about 1000 to 1500 ft. No sound,no windows,no wings ,no trail .

I was sitting on the back porch at around 4 pm on a beautiful clear day in October of 2005. My house faces north and I was facing south and as I looked over my left shoulder to the east I saw an egg or football shaped object. It was a shinny metalic object and from where I sat I could see the reflection of the sun on the rear end. It had no windows,wings,stabilizer or anything sticking out. It made no sound and left no trail behind it and my best estimation of it's speed was 200 to 250 mph and an altitude of around 1000 to 1500 ft. I called my wife out to see it so we both saw the same thing.

In Oct. of 2006 I was sitting on the same porch with the same kind of weather and looked east and saw a contrail of a very high flying airplne. It was so high I could not see the craft it's self so I went into the house and got the bynocuylars. As I was looking at the plane this very same egg shaped craft flew trough my field of vision and was traveling very fast(est.3 or 4000 mph) on incline upwards. I was employed by a major airline for 27 years so I do know the difference. I have never seen this type of craft before

Tear shaped object seen crossing the sky over Mineola, New York

At approximately 10:20 p.m., north of the North Star, we noticed what appeared to be a very slow moving tear-drop shaped fuzzy object that glowed very dimly and appeared to wobble back and forth as it moved from the North West to the South East. We hurriedly retrieved binoculars from the house. My brother looked first. He was apparently taken aback by what he saw, and exclaimed in a shakey voice that it was a "UFO." Nevertheless, I was sure he was looking at an airplane that was out of focus; so I took the binoculars and zeroed in on the object. I could not believe what I saw. It was not an airplane. Rather, it was a tear-shaped object with a dim, fixed light at the top, and several lights at the bottom, seemingly surrounded by a haze, that moved together in an irregular fashion in a wobbly circle. It appeared as though the object were tumbling across the sky. It then turned some 30 degrees to the right, and eventually disappeared into the haze. We looked at the sky intently for another half hour or so, but did not see the object again. I did, however, notice what I think was an iridium satelite. It was a pinpoint of light moving steadily north to south that briefly flared in brightness and then disappeared. At around midnight, I continued to look at the sky, but only saw a solitary meteor cross the Big Dipper's Handle. Although beautiful, I retired to bed curious at what I had witnessed. Today, I read several articles about an orbiting gamma ray observatory that is in the process of descending through the atmosphere, eventually crashing into a remote section of the Pacific Ocean on Sunday. I can only wonder if the object I saw was this satelite.

One Hovering craft...Multi-colored lights...Possible USAF persuit!

My father and I were traveling down a County road (1801) seven miles east of Mineola. We looked up in the sky in an (45o angle) open field to see a circular object with multi-colored lights on it! We stopped the car and turned off the engine. We didn't hear a sound from the object. It then started moving west slowly. My father and I then witnessed the object all of a sudden go the opposite direction toward the east. There was no banking/turning for this maneuver! We then saw it speeding up toward the east, a sound was then comming from the sky as we witnessed two jets going very fast, pass overhead. They were not commercial or private aircraft...and there isn't a military base around here for hundreds of miles. They couldn't keep up with the object and it left them in it's wake very quickly. My father has seen other strange hapenings over the years in that area...we own some land out there where this happened. My father and I are well respected members of the community. We were born and raised in Mineola, and our family has lived in the area for over one-hundred years. My family and I own a local business, My father is employed with a local utility company.
