I was out with my dog out back of the house when the object caught my notice. I live in a heavily wooded area off a county road, and it was pretty dark that night, even though there was a half moon. I took the dog in and went out on the porch and videotaped the object. For most of the video, there's only one object, but towards the end, another one becomes visible nearby--it may or may not have been generated by the principle object. It blinked constantly, and changed color--white/red/white/red, but not always consistently, or so it seemed. At first, I thought it might be an aircraft, but it made no noise, at least none I could hear from my vantage point. Eventually it moved off below the tree line and out of my line of sight, but it took a good long while for that to happen. When I got inside, I expanded the image and was surprised when it looked very much--I know this will sound funny, but I'm serious--a circular nipple with four lines set at regular intervals radiating from the edges, but stopping short of the center circle. The image is grainy, but distinct enough to show at least that much detail. Since that night, I saw it briefly a few nights ago, but it was low on the horizon and disappeared below the treeline before I could take another video. I sent the video to a friend of mine who's an experience pilot, and he couldn't identify it. At times it appears that the object changes direction very quickly and abruptly.

large black sphere with smaller white light sphere orbiting larger one about 50 feet from the ground.

I was driving with my roommate, when I noticed about 50 feet up in the air a pitch black sphere. It was about 40 feet in diameter and dark like a black hole. It had another smaller very bright white light sphere orbiting it like an electron orbiting a atom. It was changing its orbit every time it came around. It was very close to us and moving very slowly closer.

We watched as the small light orbited 3 times every time the light would go around the opposite side of the black sphere there was no light present refracting onto houses or anything around it was as if the black orb swallowed it. It was as if for a second it completely disappeared and then reappeared on the opposite side of the larger dark sphere. It lasted for about 4-5 seconds before completely disappearing.

At precisely 18:23 30 October I witnessed a flying cylinder.

Whilst driving through the small community of Rea, I noticed a small metallic cylinder drift slowly and smoothly over a field containing cattle, 2 miles NE of Rosendale.

The cylinder was a mere 6 feet in height and had a diameter of no more than 3 feet. The cylinder looked very similar to a large ‘Full Keg’ as it appeared to have a bare aluminium exterior. I believe that the cylinder was at an altitude of 200 feet, and travelled at a steady speed of 10 mph. The cylinder revolved once for every 80-100 feet it travelled.

The cylinder was almost entirely featureless apart from a single dark circular patch on its side.

The cylinder closely followed the boundary of the field. At 18:26, the cylinder began to travel perfectly east and increased altitude to 500 feet and speed to 40 mph. At approximately 18:26:30 I lost visual.

I currently work for the Missouri State Highway Patrol and have done so since 1989, and this has to be the strangest thing I’ve ever seen.

Fast flying, reflective object.

i was looking out a window just before 7:00 am. A reflection caught my attention. My eyes immediately focused on this object and followed it as it traveled at a high rate of speed toward the south-west. It was visible for approx. 3 seconds, and it was traveling much faster than any aircraft that I have seen.

Mass sighting in 1984, two newspaper reports about it, police and other reputable peole also made reports.

I was thirteen I believe, so it must have been around spring 1984.

I had been in bed. I woke up to alot of commotion, voices. I could hear my mother and brother speaking very animatedly. I walked out to our kitchen, and they were standing out on the porch. I looked out of the porch door, which faces west. I saw a family we were friendly with (they lived one town north of us) standing on the porch with my mom and brother, they were all talking to each other in an excited manner.

I was surprised to see this family on our porch so late at night. They were all looking up into the sky. I walked out of the door and noticed as I was looking west, towards Route 32, that there were cars all stopped along the road, including police cars, ambulances and firetrucks. Everyone was outside of their cars and looking up in the sky.

As I stepped onto the porch and turned to look southward, towards the Rondout Creek, I saw a large object in the sky above us. It is difficult for me to remember now, as this happened 21 years ago, but I recall lights, and black space between the lights, and an edge that wasn't distinct. I thought "That's got way more lights than a plane." The lights were colorful and "pulse-ey" ( not entirely pulsating, but with a pulsating quality ) Also, The size of it was enormous.

It didn't make any noise, and it moved excrutiatingly slowly until it seemed to hover over the intersection of the Rondout Creek and Route 32. I could hear the family of friends that were with us telling my mom and brother that they had followed it, but I don't know from what direction they had followed it.

The object began to move slowly northwards. Many people, including police and emergency personnel, jumped into their cars to follow it. My mom was eager for me to return to bed. The next day was a school day. That part always strikes me funny, because although I was very agitated about what I had seen, I didn't have any trouble going to sleep. The next day, at school I remember talking about it in class a few times, asking if other kids had seen or heard about it. Some had.

I know that the next day The Kingston Daily Freeman reported a story about the sightings, because apparently they had started quite a bit south of us and continued up to the north, and alot of people were involved. Lots of policemen had made reports, along with other reputable citizens.

However, the day after that The Kingston Daily Freeman reported that they had been told by military officials down in Newburgh that it had only been helicopters flying in formation. I remember thinking that that many helicopters would have made a huge amount of noise and wind. Everyone who was on my porch remarked about how quiet it was at the time we were watching it.

A few years ago, we were at a gathering with the same family of friends who had stood out on our porch watching with us that evening. I said " Hey, do you guys remember the UFO that everyone saw that time?" They nodded, but no one remarked further and my mom seemed embarassed by my candor, so I didn't push the issue. Sometimes I wonder if it was a dream, but I know that the newspaper wrote about it twice after the fact, so I couldn't have just dreamt it.
