It was late at night in Duanesburg, a rural town outside of Schenectady, New York. The sky is usually clear and it was this night, too. We were crossing the Interstate 88 overpass near route 20 when we saw an unusually bright white light with a red tinge in the western sky. It captured our attention as we crossed the overpass and began to turn on our home street. The object was spherical, bright, and deep red. My wife was sure it occupied the Northwestern part of the sky just 60 seconds ago, although now it wasn't moving fast. It was the biggest object visible in the sky, so much so that we pulled over to look at it some more.

Bizarrely, staring at the object gave both of us the perception of VERY large, red lightning streaks emanating from it. I vocalized this red streaks experience and my wife said the same was happening to her; the streaks appeared more orange to her. At this point we pull out and iphone 5 to capture the brilliance of it on camera. Naturally, the video just shows a bright white sphere against a black background. The camera could not see what we saw.

We must have watched the sphere for a few minutes. We had the inclination to drive another .5 miles to go home and get a better camera. We started the car and the object lost its red brilliance. Within 5 seconds of losing the red streaks characteristics, it disappeared by closing in on itself.

While driving and lamenting this fact, a much faster moving and closer red and white object was visible in the Southwestern sky. The first object was far away. This second one was so close and so low that it appeared to descend quickly just over some trees not that far away. The road did not exactly allow us to investigate exactly where we thought this thing was aiming to land. The second red object lacked the red streaks characteristic of the first one.

Oval shaped flying object in the night sky

I saw a flying object right after the midnight. The approximate appearance was symmetrical and oval from the point of view if looking straight in the sky; with several flashing/blinking lights spread horizontally of the lower part of the object. The object was moving slowly horizontally, from North to South, at the height where helicopters fly and with the similar speed; the lights were blinking or flashing interchangeably.

It moved through the part of the sky and then disappeared, either behind the cloud or it was simply gone.

It was not a helicopter, nor a plane - I observed it long enough to see the difference, and the distance allowed no confusion.

I was so taken by the sight that didn't think to try to attempt to record the event.

The objects we saw appeared at first to be satellites, but would change direction and drift back and forth.

My wife and I were camping, sleeping under the stars and watching the night sky when I saw a faint light moving across the sky. At first I thought it was a satellite, until it changed direction. Then I noticed there were others. They were very far apart spread across the entire sky but exhibited the same behavior, they would drift back and forth and each stayed in the same vicinity of the sky. They seemed to be very high up, occasionally they would disappear behind the clouds. Sometimes they would grow dimmer and brighter, and sometimes they would move quickly and other times stop moving completely. They were too far away to tell if there was more than one light on each, the light appeared to be white. We watched them until about 4 AM when we fell asleep. My wife and I were both completely sober.

We could not identify shape since it was night. The lights were identifiable. Not as an airplane, we've seen those often around here, but of something irregular. The flight pattern was stagnent. It hovered for about 5 mins, then eratically set off. it didn't fly in a straight line. It zigzagged. the lights on the object were white, spaced unevenly. The light was emmitted in a pulse tone sequence, going off beat every now and then.

My husband does not believe in UFO's. He had witnessed the sighting the other evening with me. he is a skeptic. I on the other hand have witnessed many sightings, since I was about 7yrs old. I've ahd dreams of attempted abductions. I also experience insomnia and fear of sleep at times. It always feels as if someone is watching, sometimes, even in my room before I fall asleep. i have awaken dozens of times in the middle of the night, my pulse rate through the roof, but I couldn't recall the dream. I wake up scared. I know it is them.
