Blue light coming from sky, saw a pitch black rectangle unknown gliding to the right and back in the sky

I was driving on the 212 hwy from Minneapolis, going to Hector, MN. About the time I got to Stewart, my passengers and I saw a blue light coming out of the sky in a large beam. One of my passengers thought it was a tornado, but it wasn’t moving.

It was about 10:00 pm on April 21, 2013. It was very dark, except for this bright blue beam. As we approached Hector, we realized that the beam was right above that town. I wondered if the high school had one of those big spot lights on, but as I turned off of the highway into a dark Hector neighborhood, I realized that wasn’t what it was.

My passengers and I got out of the vehicle and realized we were standing in the blue light. It was dispersed all around us and we all started to look up in the sky to see where it was originating from. There was a lot of cloud cover, but as the clouds moved a black rectangle appeared above us and glided to the right and then back. It was a perfect rectangle and completely devoid of any light. We all were a little intrigued, and scared. I tried to take a snapshot, but my camera wouldn’t work.

We all saw the same thing, and there was no explanation for this. About a week later, a family member of mine told me that something unexplained broke a utility pole at the very tip. Something flying perhaps?

lightning like flashing light

I had gotten up to go to the bathroom and went into the kitchen to get a drink sat down in the living room with the light off so I would not wake up my husband. Any ways it was around 1:30 am. It was foggy out side because it had been lightly raining all day. I was sitting looking out the window. When I seen two flashes of light looked like lightning. It lit up the sky but it was coming from down in our field. I thought that was strange because we had had light rain no storms. In addition, it did not make any noise. Then right after the two flashes of light, it started to go off. The flashes were going off like a roll of firecrackers but no noise. Just one right after another. Super fast. I ran to the window to see what was going on and to see what was out their. Then it stopped. Our dogs never barked. Which they do when they hear any noise. I know that it was not a light from a helicopter. It was flashing lights.

Bright ball of light slowly traveling west to east -size diminished then changed from red to pink then vanished.

At aprox. 6:59 pm Looking toward the North.

I saw a small airplane flying with a bright ball of light, heading from West to East. They were together briefly and then the plane traveled ahead while the ball of light continued to move across the sky more slowly (perhaps at a different altitude?). My partner came outside just in time to see the ball of light traveling - and we both saw its light begin to diminish and change from bright white to reddish to pinkish then it disappeared. There were several small planes traveling across the sky at the time; they all looked and sounded very obviously like planes. This ball of light was very bright, no lights flashing - no wing definition - no sound. It looked nothing like the airplanes that were in the sky during this event.
