Cigar shape white lights in the sky, flashing, spinning and appear to move sporadically and uniformly.

I was walking my dog facing north, I noticed about four lights in the sky that resembled those on a large cylindrical-shaped craft. Unfortunately, the night was cloudy, preventing a clear view, but it was clear enough to suggest that impression.

I ran into my house to grab my phone and managed to capture what I saw. The first video was almost a minute long before the lights disappeared. Afterward, I went back to my backyard, again facing north, and the same lights reappeared for about 30 seconds before vanishing again. In the last footage, the lights returned in a cylinder or cigar shape, spinning and flashing rapidly multiple times. After the flashing stopped, another cigar-shaped light appeared, and the two lights flashed in perfect sync. Then, the sky turned completely black, and a single cylinder-shaped light appeared, staying lit for a few seconds before it seemed to be sucked into the sky. I waited for 10-15 minutes, but no more lights appeared.

I never saw anything like it in my life. It was no shooting star.

As I was walking the dog I saw a large object in the northern sky moving from west to east. I was just above the tree line. It was very large. As big as a bus. It was bright white. The shape was round in front and round in back. The front was larger than the back. I saw it for a second and it was gone. The height of the object was 1/4 the size of it's length. It had no tail. There was no noise. It was not burning red. It was bright solid white. It was a clear night with stars out. My first reaction was, what was that. Maybe it was comet, or space junk. But it only appeared as a quick flash. I called the police department to see if anyone else might have reported it. Can someone tell me what I saw?

My grandparents were just pulling into the driveway and I went outside to meet them. I was helping them take suitcases out of the trunk when I saw lights far away in the distance moving really slow.

I figured it was something I just never saw before and I pointed to it and asked my grandfather (retired army guy) 'Grandpa what is that??" pause.... "Well that would be a UFO" completely deadpan.

It was low in the sky and was approaching very slowly. Dogs started barking all over the neighborhood. We stayed outside and watched it pass over. It was very large and oval and had multicolor lights around the edges that slowly rotated as it moved forward. It very slowly went off into the distance (I think we watched it for a long time) and I ran inside and called the police (more because I was hoping they would say what it was) and the dispatcher said he was getting tons of calls and he was assuming everyone had a lot to drink this St. Patrick's Day.

The next four hours the sky was full of helicopters with searchlights. The newspapers reported the next day it was likely ultra lights in formation. I have no idea what it was but you could see the solid bulk of it as darker against the night sky. It made no noise either, and the lights weren't in plane formation. My grandfather read the papers the next day muttering obscenities to himself the entire time. He was quite annoyed that the there was no reliable explanation.
