We were on ridge observing the approaching dusk and looking to the south when a very bright spot of light appeared which at first

Looked like a star but we quickly realized it was not a star because it was too large and too bright and was moving and wobbling. We then followed it to the southwest and retrieved binocular and a Celestron 4" telescope to view it more closely. Upon observation with the telescope the object resolved into a circle of multiple white lights with a central dark region/core. Three people each saw the object clearly and in focus through the telescope. None of us have ever seen anything like it. It was clearly not a airplane, helicopter, balloon, dirigible or other known aircraft. No flashing strobes at all. Joel estimated the number of white lights in the circle as being about 15.

Saw tiny bright dot with bright tail moving across the sky

I was watching from second floor window. I saw a bright dot with a huge white tail that was lighting the sky. The tail was much bigger than the main source. It was moving at what would seem like the speed of an airplane that was in the distance. Seemed slow. After about a minute the light went off and I could just see the tiny dot moving.

I observed 3 large spheres traveling together, each was separately controlled traveling above tree tops up the valley then off into sky

First spotted 1 large sphere of light across the valley then noticed one was behind that first one. As they where going up the valley a third came up quickly from behind then adjusted his flight speed and distance to be the same as between the other two. There was absolutely no sound at all. They where huge. But even though they glowed the light was not so bright as to shine down on the ground. It was like a huge glowing spheres. It seemed like a long time that I was watching them but only about 5-10 minutes.

I was standing on my back deck looking across the valley and checking out the stars when this happened. Never have seen anything this big fly this low and slow and still be in the air. Amazing. My dogs did not bark at it they just stared, and I taught one dog to bark at airplanes and blinking lights in the night sky. And there was not a sound in the air. Something you will never forget.

30 mins before sunrise (around 6:05am), I walked outside to a totally clear sky; no clouds in sight, no stars in sight. However, in the NE sky (45°) there was a large, very bright, stationary light. At first I thought it was Venus but then it suddenly “blinked off” (disappeared).

Leaving store noticed beautiful sky, loaded groceries, driving in car looked at sky again, saw sphere at high alt., recorded it.

After having had a few days in a row of summer high heat, rain, & high humidity, yesterday was a nice and unusually low humidity day.
After grocery shopping for a couple hours we left Walmart near 8:00 pm. With the unobstructed view from the parking lot I noticed the beautiful sky while walking to my car.
It was near dusk. The sky was a clear blue (usually low humidity for us here), the few clouds in the sky were very high (for here) and were wispy and pink, due to being near dusk.
After loading the groceries I stole one minute to myself and deeply took in the beauty of the sky. Got into the car to drive away and while still in the parking lot looked again at the sky. I noticed an odd object and asked the person with me to look at it and ask.what it was. They didn't have a clue. Then it dawned on me I had my phone to video it. I did so, fearing I'd miss it. But I didn't. I got it as it crossed a pink wispy cloud. It was very high in the sky at a great distance from me but it must have been large for me to be able to see it so clearly. It did not seem like a plane to us. My video is only 11 seconds. I stopped filming when I thought it had disappeared. But later when I cast the video from my phone to my large smart TV, I saw that it hadn't disappeared but had only turned dark. If I had known it was still visible to my phone I would have continued filming. I did notice that the shape of the object on my TV was different from how my naked eye saw it. I would have described it a spherical from my naked eye view but blown up on screen shots it has a bit of a triangular aspect to it but that may be due to the way light works when magnified.
On a large monitor it should be easy to see. But to help you find it; if you see the shape of the pink cloud is similar to the silhouette of a cat running toward you locate its ears and head and then it's front legs. The video begins with.the object moving across the left armpit area of the cat shaped cloud. It moves upward and to the left across the "cat" shape. Then it turns dark before I stop filming.

I saw a bright light in the sky (Dec 13, 2021, 5:41am) traveling towards the south. At first I thought it was an airplane since it was close to their normal flight path. I managed to get one photo and was adjusting my phone to record a video. Just as I put my phone towards the object it disappeared. Just “poof”, gone. The night was VERY clear with no clouds in the area.

My little brother was gazing in the sky and saw something flying in the atmosphere and told me to look to my surprise when I looked was what the hell is that, it appeared to be 3 object flying synchronize in formation im guessing at a very fast rate and it was like it had camo like it would look like a star but then it would look like the sky and I would fade in in out , so 15 minutes past and right over the house over were about 44 fly objects just like the ones we just saw and they would fly to a curtain point and they would i guess jump light speed or something ,but it was some that I guess might have been lost because we saw a few stragglers but there ship would let off a very bright light i guess and I could jump kind of sort of the sky , it was the most beautiful thing we ever seen .

Fixed light in daytime sky

Saw a fixed light in broad daylight that looked like a star above Dobbins Airforce Base in Marietta. However, it looked like it was reflecting light in the sunlight. It did not move. It was extremely bright and reflective, very high in the sky. Upon watching the video it looks like a bright star with other crafts going in and out of it. There are dots that circle it, go in it, and things moving around it. It seems too bright to be a daytime star. After watching it for 30 minutes, I went inside, and when I came back out I could not find it again. Possibly lights were circling it, or it was the camera picking up the reflection of the object. I have a video of this event and can provide it.

Large White Light larger than any star moving very fast.

Smyrna tn Almaville road at 12:20 a.m a large white light 3 times larger than the north star almost as bright as a street light that would be 15 feet from you moving toward the ground slightly faster than a falling object. If it were a plane it was most definitely 100% a crash at that speed straight down the light was white not yellow and there were no blinking lights. Moving at a higher than falling speed straight down. Scared me so much I got lost coming home on a road I drive every day. very shaken up. I almost exspecting a loud boom as if it would have hit the earth very hard but heard nothing. I drove The Direction toward it for about 15 minutes and never saw it again.

Pulsing colored object performing incredible maneuvers

I walked out of my work shed saw what looked like a star but caught my eye with multi color type pulsing. Observed this object shoot upwards a significant distance then a few seconds shoot back down. Then it shot straight over to the right then back upwards again at great speed. At one point it completely disappeared and almost immediately reappeared way over to the left of where it had been. Physically impossible for any conventional aircraft to perform such maneuvers as it would impose incredible G-force on the object. Called my wife to come down and witness this behavior which continue for another 5 minutes then the object disappeared. It was quite a show. Honest to God all true and no plane or planet, this was real.

White/silver Sphere High Altitude Extreme Speed

On 12/13/17 at approximately 11:30 hours, I observed a single white or silver sphere traveling straight and N/W bound at a very high altitude at an extremely high rate of speed. Observer for 2-3 seconds. The path of sphere was similar as used by commercial aircraft approaching BNA but much much higher. No noise was heard while in view. After approximately 10-12 seconds there was a low rumble that shook the house. Day light, no clouds, air temp 40 F, wind NNE 11kt. I live.

It was dark normal weather the objects look like they were 4-6 miles away there was two of them hovering over they had blinking light that were going from left to right the on objecton the left seem to disappear once I started to record. I approximately recorded 2 minutes of the scene. So the one on the left appear to morph and started to blink one single time the two object where blinking from a bright neon dark orange to just a bright white light as the object on the left dispear it was only blinking the other object know the right was by it's self I keep on recording until it did the same thing as the other I observed not recording and it appear one was comming toward me in a curved I stood still for q sec and then I ran home I wasn't scare nor afraid but I began to have a headed afterwards no sound was made

Very bright Triangle/U shaped light.

I was looking up at the moon in my driveway. The sky was still blue because the sun hadn't set yet. A light about the size of the north star appeared out of nowhere directly to the right of the moon. It stayed in one place for 2-3 minutes before moving slowly to the south, then becoming stationary again for a few minutes. The light went back north at the same speed as when it went south. It was stationary for a few more moments and then traveled east. There where no flashing/blinking lights, it never changed color, nor did it make a sound. In my opinion it wasn't even in our atmosphere. The light was just as bright as the north star on a clear night. I decided to take my telescope out when it was stationary to the east. What I saw through the telescope, I can't get out of my head. My wife took a look and it freaked her out so bad she could take another look. I studied this object for as long as I could. It was a triangle or almost U shaped. In my telescope it was as big as a nickel so with something that size in the telescope I would think you would be able see some type of structure, but there wasn't. It was just a very bright white triangle/U shape light that moved from north to south back to north and then east. For me, the most incredible event was when it decided to leave. As I was looking at it with the telescope, it started to move east more so I had to keep adjusting the telescope. I found it, I centered it and in a faction of a second it was gone. After witnessing something like this, it has me definitely looking up and questioning a lot of things.

Very bright orange/red lights on disc shaped craft heading due south over Atlanta on New Years Eve

Spotted an unusually bright orange/red light flying north to south over the house on New Years Eve - much like a fireball but without a tail. Flew directly over Dobbins Air Reserve base towards my residence, (which is perpendicular to their runway). Solid flare - no colored side lamps, no blinking lights, much brighter than other planes nearby, easily a -6 brightness. Absolutely silent, left no contrail. Moved faster than a plane but slower than a meteor.

Was clearly disc shaped as it passed overhead/perhaps more like a donut (darkened center underneath). As soon as it passed another appeared on same trajectory, then another and another evenly spaced - counted 8 of them in 15 minutes, with one slightly off to our west but still heading due south.

This is highly unusual for regular air traffic because the standard holding pattern from Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta is to cycle planes to our west heading due north instead.

Could not be lanterns - wind was blowing NNW and these were much larger than anything else in the sky. Five witnesses.

Multi-colored glowing blimp like object

Looked somewhat like a blimp but not like any I've ever seen. I lived for years near Charlotte Motor Speedway and became accustomed to seeing blimps with lights built in.

This object seemed to shift between colors, blue and purple, and eventually a neon green color as seen in photos video. It almost seemed like waves of color moving over it.

I initially saw it on the interstate on the way to work and could still see it from my neighborhood, at which point I recorded a short video clip and captured several pictures.

Stationary light looked like a star or planet moved across the sky and turned into what looked like a cigar shaped craft

My daughter and me were leaving from Smyrna, TN heading toward Murfreesboro, TN on Murfreesboro Road (that part of the road changes names but it's all still Murfreesboro Road). It was around 8 pm June.24.2012 we were still in Smyrna and had just gotten off the ramp by the Nissan plant heading toward where Florence Rd crosses over. *I'm being specific for anyone else who witnessed this in the area.

We noticed a single bright light in the sky which we thought was a star or planet (I was sure of that) because it was just sitting there not moving at all and it looked like any other typical star/planet that you'd see on any given night. As I was driving (maybe 2 or 3 miles later) my daughter said it looks like it's moving, I said it could be us driving and it just looks that way. But then to me it did look like it was slightly moving.

All of the sudden it began to travel across the sky and downward, gaining speed. I said what the hell? Then I started thinking it was a meteor but I couldn't figure out why it was sitting in the sky like that? After it went from the left to right side of the road and was headed more downward I then pulled over (I was about a quarter mile past Florence Rd). The bright light went out and some smaller lights appeared around it and I could now see a long dark cigar shaped object. It slowed down almost barely moving to a complete stop for about 10 seconds and the lights were changing around the object (changing as in where they were located and from flashing to not flashing) all appeared to be small white lights and then took off again with great speed which I have never seen a plane do and went out of sight just that fast.

I have tried to think of what this was, but after cycling though rational explanations I am left with none.

Someone had to of seen this besides us.

This object when the bright light went out was very large, we couldn't see the object before that because the light was very bright. I didn't see any wings and there was no sound.

Again I'd like to point out: 1. It was stationary and looked like a star/planet nothing unusual about it.

2. It then moved very fast across and downward falling like a meteor would.

3. The bright light went out and we could see a long dark object with no wings or sound and smaller lights appeared around it. It looked like a mist/veil type glow was around it. Maybe a thin cloud? 4. It hovered, traveled very fast,moved slow and came to a complete stop (things which a plane,star,planet,meteor does NOT do! At least I have never seen anything have movements or abilites like this.

I saw this particular ufo about twice. It was a glowing yellow, and made no sound. It was going about 200 mph. I saw it for about a minute, on each day.

Black craft with two white lights above housing development

Driving home from work I saw two light in the distance which looked like street lights but extra large. As I came up to the area the craft was above a housing development about 150 feet. The craft was black except for the two white lights on the underneeth of the craft on either side. The lights were not shining down they were as if they were contained to the craft itself. It was approximately 100 feet in length and 50 feet in width.

I pulled over thinking it was from the airbase near by but it made no sound and was just sitting still above the houses.

I watched the craft for approximately 5 minutes.

Very shiny cigar shaped object north of Smyrna, GA around 2:50 pm.

As I was headed east on South Cobb Drive, approximately 2:50 pm, I came to a red light at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Spring/Concord Road. I was probably the fifth or sixth car in line. The light had just turned red so when I came to a stop, I just started gazing at the surroundings. I noticed what I thought to be a plane north of where I was heading. At first, I was intrigued at how shiny this "plane" was. It was so chrome that it was reflecting. As I sat there staring at it, I noticed that there was no rear stabilizer. Just a chrome cigar, sitting there. I turned to see if traffic had started to move and it hadn't, so I turned back to the object and it was gone. Just like that! I looked all around to see if I could spot it but there was no sight of it what so ever anywhere. I kept searching, hoping to find but the person behind me started blowing their horn because traffic started moving again. That's when I thought to myself if I was seeing a UFO, so I came home and found this website to see if anybody may have posted something so I wouldn't think I was nuts. Sure enough, there is a posting on the second of June of a sighting in Canton, GA around the same time, although that is described as oval. this may have been, I don't know. What I do know is that is was long, very shiny and if I had to scale it, I would say that it was roughly about an inch and a quarter, maybe and inch and a half in length from where I was sitting. Amazing. I will try to retrace my steps around the same time tomorrow and see what happens.

For whatever it may be worth, I saw this today: In Smyrna, Tennessee at about 12:45 PM central time (just after noon) while walking a three and a half year old child along a walking trail at the Smyrna Recreation Park (located on busy Sam Ridley Parkway across the street from the Smyrna Airport), the child yelled out to me, "Hey, look, the western star!" ("western star" must be a term he's picked up from tv or a story book).

I looked up into the cloudless blue sky (unusually low humidity today for this area) and directly ahead of us, up high, northwest of the sun, I saw a very bright and round object that appeared to be much larger than a star and smaller than a full moon. It appeared to be white or silver or to be illuminating very bright light from within (very bright, not the way any secret object would appear).

We stopped, I took off my sunglasses and shielded my eyes from the sun with my hand. (The object was sitting stationary for the first four to five minutes we watched) At that time a jet with an exhaust trail crossed between us and the object. The object for a moment disappeared on the other side of the jet's trail of smoky exhaust. After the exhaust trail drifted away, we saw that the round and bright stationary object was still there and remained still.

We sat down on the trail at that point to watch closely, to take in every detail. I looked around at the many people playing at the park just ahead of us up the trail to see if they were looking at it, but none were. I stopped a joger who passed us at that time. He didn't even look up, but dismissivly said planes can look all kinds of ways in the sky, and kept on jogging.

Then, (and this is about four or five minutes after the initial sighting) the object started moving toward the east. I lost sight of it as it crossed nearly directly between the the sun and us. As it got further east we once again could see it. I called someone on my cell phone in an attempt to document the sighting. The person I called lives near by and could have video tapped it, but they were not home. It continued moving eastward and growing smaller in size as it was leaving. At that time another joger past whom I stopped and asked if he wanted to see something weird in the sky. He said he did so I pointed it out to him. He did see it before it disappeared, but it was much smaller by then, but still very bright. I told him it was almost gone. He commented that he could see it and that it was weird because it was so small and far away but was still bright, he thought it was unusual. But he didn't even see the the weird stuff I saw.

It left our sight about six to eight minutes after the first view of it. I looked down at the little unusually intelligent three and half year old child who watched it with me and asked what he thought it was. He answered, "Well, maybe a big magic white bowling ball?" I do not know what it was and make no claims as to what it might have been.

Fireball over Smynra Georgia USA 4/1/2008 21:30 falling straight to the ground over Dobbins AFB

I live in the City of Smyrna, GA, USA and about 9:30 EST this evening I was sitting on my deck looking due North and saw something falling from North to East towards Marietta and it appeared to be falling over Dobbins. It looked like a fiery ball, not a meteorite or shooting star. I've seen meteorites and shooting stars and supposed UFO's, this is nothing like that. It appeared to be within the atmosphere, but there was no sound. Has anyone reported this and did it appear on radar? Thanking you in advance.

The fuzzy, comet-like object seen on December 10, 2007 across the East Coast was apparently a rocket stage from a classified satellite.

I live in Smyrna, Georgia, about 12 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta and approximately one mile from the southern end of Dobbins Air Reserve Base. At approximately 6:45 p.m. last night (December 10, 2007), I took my dog for his evening walk and looked up at the sky. I noticed slightly to the south of the zenith a fuzzy patch of light in the sky. It was maybe a quarter of the size of my pinky fingernail at arm's length. I watched it for a few moments, thinking it was a bright star blurred by a cloud, but the night was perfectly clear. I discerned a comet-like shape--a brighter triangular point with a fanned out, fuzzy "tail." As an amateur skygazer, I was amazed that I'd not read about anything like this being visible and certainly had not seen anything like it on previous nights. I called my father at his house east of Atlanta at 6:48 p.m., but there was no answer. I went into the house to get my binoculars and came back outside to get a better view. Through the binoculars, the object definitely looked like a comet, and I could see that it was clearly moving against the background stars. I then called my sister's house in Loganville, Georgia (approximately 30 miles east of Atlanta), at 6:52 p.m. and my father answered the phone. I told him to go outside and look up and when he did, he said, "Well I'll be damned! What's that?" "I think it's a comet," I told him. "But it's moving too fast for a comet and it's not supposed to be there!" I chatted with my father and continued to observe the comet moving slowly northward close to the zenith. It seemed to get very slightly brighter. At about 7 p.m., through the binoculars I noticed a pinpoint flash of white light just to the right (north side) of the object (the flash was in the same spot as the one noted on the illustration on your website concerning this siting). I told my father, "Wait, there's a flashing light...that's not a comet. I'll call you back." I observed the flash several more times but was unable to determine if it was happening at regular intervals or not. It seemed to flash about once every 30 to 45 seconds at first. The patch of light continued to head north toward Cassiopeia, and its brightness was fading quickly. The last time I saw the flash of light next to the fuzzy light, I counted up to 120 seconds and did not see the flash again. It dimmed and I lost sight of it at roughly 7:05 to 7:10 p.m. before it reached the "W" of Cassiopeia.

I went inside and called the Smyrna Police Department and described what I saw and asked if anyone else had reported it. No one had. I then called the local Fox affiliate, Fox 5, and asked their news desk if they had received reports of the light in the sky. The man on the phone said that they had calls reporting it from Clayton County (south of Atlanta) all the way up to Cleveland, Georgia (roughly 40 or 50 miles northeast of Atlanta). He had no explanation as to what it might be. I called Fox 5 back at 11 p.m. to see if they had learned anything, and there was no new information.

This morning at work, I've googled "mysterious light georgia" and numerous other applicable terms, but nothing came up on google or Fox 5 or the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (the city newspaper). I just spoke with a public affairs sergeant at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, and she had heard nothing of the unusual light in the sky. When I typed in "ufo december 10 2007" and the first link that came up was this website.

At various times, I have seen satellites, the space shuttle, and the international space station moving across the sky in the evenings. They are always distinct, fast-moving points of light that generally dim and "blink out" once they enter the earth's shadow. The object last moved much slower than any aircraft (save a helicopter) or satellite. When I saw the flashing light and realized it was not a comet, I thought maybe it was a high-altitude balloon of some sort that had vented gas or propellant, but since this appears to be the same object seen by many people over several states, I have doubts that a weather or test balloon could have been high enough in or above the atmosphere to be viewed from such a wide area. I have no idea what it was.

The times listed above are very close approximations from the call records in my cell phone.

Now that I have typed all this, I just heard back from an astronomer at the Fernbank Science Center's observatory here in Atlanta. Apparently, the object was an Atlas rocket performing a "fuel dump" after depositing a classified satellite in orbit. The story can be found at www.spaceweather.com.

Unexplainable acceleration and deceleration in proportion to emitted light intensity.

I was laying out watching for meteors, facing North East. I noticed two lights traveling about two finger widths apart, one trailing the other, at equal speed. They were just slightly brighter than the average stars. I don't believe I can give an accurate altitude. Way up there. Initially I thought it could be the shuttle catching up to the space station. After about 2 to 3 seconds, the one trailing got about 5 times brighter for one second, and caught up to the leading one and returned to equal brightness. They were extremely close and continued a South West path till disappearing. The reason I believe it was a UFO is because of the change of the intensity of the light was directly proportional to it's speed. I also cannot explain it not overshooting the leading object after exhibiting such acceleration.

A very angular dark object in stark contrast against the morning sky

Weather: slight haze but w/blue sky, no wind. While driving east on Cumberland Blvd a black or very dark object, rectangular object appeared in my front about 30 deg up and 15-20 deg. right (south) of the sun. It was not moving horizontally or vertically but definitely was rotating very slowly.

First impression was that it was a strange kite, Next thought, maybe an airborn, floating piece of plastic or paper but there was definitely no wind.

I slowed to a crawl, got a good look and it had very sharp corners and was in sharp contrast against the sky...definitely a rectangle. There was definitely no wobbling or any movement that would indicate that it was teathered or suspended. It was slowly rotating and changing shape or showing a more angular shape.

My last impression was that it was rectangular but with an arrow shaped point on each end of the rectangle. Really cool as grits !

yellow (fire like) object flying thru sky at very very high speed.

I dont know if it was actually a craft. Me and my 5 yr. old niece were playing on the trampoline waiting for the sun to go down, so we can star gaze. I went to show my niece one of the stars we could already see and when we both looked up there was a yellow light flying over head. The speed was great. It was gone within seconds. It was like fire yellow. It actually looked like fire shooting across the sky. I live close to an Dobbins Air Force Base and Lockheed. I may have just been seeing the tale of a jet hitting mach speed. But normally I can hear the jets as they go buy, but no sound was coming from this. I see alot of things in the sky around here. I just mark it up to the base and Lockheed testing some new stuff. I

Bright light in SW sky, colors flashed in full spectrum rapidly, like a police light, but included every color in rainbow, RGB colors

What first appeared as a bright star or approaching airplane to the SW sky, series of changing colors that seem to flash like a police light. But range of colors included full spectrum rapidly changing colors. Moved very slowly in sky but the flashing lights changed rapidly. Moved to slow to be a passing plane, too many colors. I asked neighbor had he ever seen lights in sky like that... never. Neither had I. Lights too bright to make out detail but was the brightest light in sky several hours. Seemed to rotate with stars but continously flashed a full spectrum of colors.

Traveling on Rt 300 toward Kenton. Noticed in distance where the electrical conduit at the end of Bryn-Zion Rd, on Underwoods Rd there was bright light. Thought that was strange I never noticed the electrical tower had lights before. As I drove about 30 seconds, noticed lights coming closer. Thought that it was flying very low for airplane. It was traveling slower than plane, almost hovering it moved so slow for an airplane. Only the speed of a car. It was the size of a plane with two big very bright lights in front, one in back, so gave appearance of being triangle, but even as it intersected and flew over me on route 300, I could see no details of the actual craft. Even though it was so low, that had it been flying toward me, rather than cross ways, I think the passengers could have seen right in my car. I actually ducked in my car as it flew over, as a reflex. I had no radio on and my driver's side window was slightly down and still I heard no noise. The lights were very bright but not searching, they were straight like headlights on each end of the front of the craft. It flew right over top of me and continued on over field in direction of Air Base. There we 2 cars behind me in the distance, maybe 2 miles. So I know they would have seen this low flying aircraft. It would have caught their attention if for no other reason than it was flying extremely low.

A large, spherical object slowly descended through the sky in a diagonal until it disappeared behind the tree line. It glowed in a bright fluorescent green.

I am a 23-year-old, full-time college student majoring in psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. I live in Smyrna, Tennessee--about 30 miles southeast of Nashville. On March 9, around 9:00pm CST, in the western sky, I saw a large, spherical object slowly descend in a diagonal until it disappeared behind the tree line. It was BRIGHT--a fluorescent green so bright it almost appeared white. It was LARGE--much larger than anything I have ever seen traverse the sky. Most unusual, though, it descended the sky relatively slowly--much slower than any shooting star that I have seen. I saw the object for 3 or 4 seconds. When it descended below the tree line, I expected to hear a "boom" or something--I thought that it might have been an burning airplane. Local news gave no mention of the event.

We saw a disc-shaped object with a row of blinking lights traverse the sky silently, rapidly, and repeatedly.

My friend and I were walking towards a carnival in the parking lot of Belmont Hills Shopping Center (located on the corner of Windy Hill Road (then Cherokee Street)and Atlanta Road in Smyrna, Georgia in the late Spring of 1974. I glanced up into the sky above the shopping center (the sky was dark, probably around 8 p.m.) and observed a disc-shaped object with a row of sequentially blinking circular lights traversing a large angle of the sky repeatedly. This back and forth path covered an angle of maybe 80 degrees or so and was at a low altitude; maybe 150 ft or so above the shopping center. Since the sky was dark the lack of reference points made a size estimation difficult, but it appeared maybe 6-8 feet in diameter. The object was totally silent and rapid in its motion. It was witnessed by a couple walking away from the carnival.
