Saw silver sphere hanging over street that stayed less than 5 seconds then flew off

Driving back home up Traer street toward the Lutheran church from downtown when saw a silver sphere hanging over the street. It stayed still and hung about 5 seconds then flew off to the east quickly. Another person walking also saw it. It was silver with the sun shining off of it.

It was hard to tell size and distance. When it moved it was fast. As it went east it got smaller in the distance. It was sitting still and when I noticed it, it took of quickly to the East.

A series of lights appeared hovering in close proximity to the north star. The lights would travel west to east one at at time. Then several of them formed a line traveling in the same trajectory and would disappear half way across the horizon. After several of the lights passed in this manner a group of four passed in the same way in a square that slowly changed shape then disappeared.

Three fireballs made a triangular pattern and a couple more flew overhead-

the objects made a burning sound.

A diamond shaped craft grows brighter, vanishes and comes back, hovering in the distance in Greene, Maine.

There was a very bright light hovering in the distance. The night was clear, no moon, no clouds, just stars and a light that was too bright to be a star. It grew brighter, as if coming towards my brother and I. The object was moving. It disappeared after a while, but not completely. It was almost as if the UFO turned into a cloud. A cloud, which was glowing.

After observing said cloud for multiple minutes, the bright grew brighter, once again. There seemed to be a bright haze around the craft, making it difficult to describe exactly what it was my brother and I were looking.

Also, the craft seemed to be shining a beam over the area, almost as if it was looking for something. It wasn't a helicopter, for there was no noise. And I know of no crafts which are so bright that you can't pick out exactly what they are. The light was so great that as the craft drew closer it was almost blinding.

The same events repeated for a couple of hours. I didn't stick around to find out what happened to the craft, so I can't say how it finally vanished. I, however, have never seen anything like it. The craft was so bright, almost looked like a star which was too close. However, stars don't move towards you, turn into clouds, vanish, come back and repeat. By the time I was home, both my brother and I were shaking and couldn't wait to tell our mother what had taken place.

Incandescent light-greenish Orb with Red Halo spotted in sky over Northern woods..................

It appeared to have come out from the direction of the full moon, which was to my left.

The oval shape was speeding somewhat rapidly down at first, and I thought initially that it was a comet, as it appeared to have a tail and it was shooting a bit down-ward, but then it went off in a very rapid parallel direction, and the comet-like trail or vapors which followed it were no more....It hovered minus the trail(s) and then appeared more roundish....the orb was incandescent green with a vibrantly bright red halo surrounding it.

I know that it couldn't have been "marsh gas" or a flying air-craft.....at least not of any military or common sort. It absolutely was not of this planet, to my thinking....as it immediately disappeared.My eyes remained transfixed on the spot in the wooded area behind my house, but it was gone....very,very suddenly.

UFO sightings in Southern Maine

This is the third occassion that this has happened. Tonight I did not see any craft, but Sunday night three crafts were sighted going over the neighborhood. They were like the ones that went over Phoenix, AZ. Just a triangle arrangement of lights, moving very slowly. If you were outside you couldn't hear them, but inside the house the walls were vibrating. Tonight all I heard was the hum of them going over and it only lasted about 30 seconds or so. I didn't get out of bed fast enough to see them. But the sound is so unmistakable I knew what it was.
