saw a weird light from a bridge and as we got closer it stayed stationary and then we saw a circle shaped light before we pulled over

Me and my family were driving home and on the bridge me and my sister noticed a weird light but we thought it was a plane, the thing is though it stayed stationary and as we got closer through the trees we saw a ring of light in the sky so we pulled over and looked at it in the car and it was a green tiny light but as we were getting out it started moving slowly I saw red and white it also blinked 3 times really fast and in a weird pattern but then 2 lights started flashing white and I know usually planes will have one light on each wing and I could tell those were not lights on a wing they were directly under eachother , as we continued watching it got faster and faster and higher
