Military base closes for day, UFO seen leaving base.

After the 10PM alarm that shuts the base down, my roommate and I watched a disk like aircraft leave the base slowly and zip away suddenly. It had an orange colored light and it took off really slow at first and then disappeared.

A bright orange light with blue-ish white middle was observed launching upwards into the sky while driving home on a clear night.

I am a 23 year old Father of 1 and stepfather of 1 with my lovely GF. My employment history is spotty, so in my free time I study greatly on medical uses of drugs, ufology and the registered close encounters, crimes/detective work and so forth. At the time of this incident I was returning from a friends house located 15-20minutes from where I live. At the time of this incident I was alone and seen no other drivers on the road.

It gets dark very fast here in the winter but you could make out every single star and constellation with ease this night. No cloud. No tree lines as my hometown is surrounded by cornfields.

I’m very familiar with planes, what they look like at night, and sound like due to living only a 20minute drive (max) from Grissom Air Force Base all my life. This was no plane or anything of human made origin.

The singular object was very bright orange (with a hint of blue-ish white in the middle) ball of light that sat in the sky. I first noticed it after going from a 4-way stop. Half way through my drive home. I paid no attention at first, thinking it was someone flying a drone nearby or was just a bright star. I continued my drive and realized the object was keeping pace in front of me but was at a great distance away, easily 500-600ft away and had an elevation of around 8-10,000ft. I then slowed my speed 55mph to 30mph (no other cars around on the road) so I could get a better look at what I was seeing. The object then seemed to rotate, which I then seen the blue-ish white color in the middle. This is about 5-6minutes into seeing the object, time seemed like it was at standstill. I felt like I was being watched. I continue driving but keeping my eye on the object. After I got back up to 55mph and only a few minutes away from home, I seen the ball of light jolt itself to the r! ight of about 35ft. Stop. Jolt upwards of I’d say 50-100ft. The blue-ish white in the middle became slightly bright, then the object launched itself upwards and disappear, faster than I ever seen anything go in my life. No sound. No booms from the fast speeds. I finished my journey home and instantly told my Girlfriend about it. I grabbed our binoculars to try and see if I could locate the object and seen nothing but stars.

To this day I am for certain I did not see a plane or human made craft, but something truly otherworldly.

While driving south on Ny interstate I-87 at 11:45 pm, as I began entering an area of interstate under construction, I noticed a bright orange orb at roughly 50 deg. Inclination. My attention had to be totally on driving at this point and I could not stop of course! It traveled seemingly under its own control and I saw no trail, or tail. As the orb was headed due north, the passing was brief but astounding!

Orang Orb in sky over Bromley Ski Resort, Peru VT. July 23rd - 9:40 pm.

I glanced out window at about 21:40 and noticed an orange orb in the sky above Bromley Ski Resort in Peru, VT.

At first I thought it was an airplane but when I looked again a few min. later it was still there.

My wife and I called our 3 boys and we went out on the porch to watch it. While my wife recorded it on our camera, we took turns looking at it thru binoculars until it dropped down over the mountain.

My wife saw this object in the same spot about a week ago.

Several weeks ago on our way home from Cape Cod we saw this same object in Bondville, VT. It was much closer, perhaps 50 feet or so in the air.

We stopped our car and rolled down the window but there was no sound and it seemed to come closer.

We pulled into a storage unit complex and I got out of the car to get a closer look.

After a moment or two, it suddenly flew away from us at a high speed and disappeared.

There was no sound.

My daughter and her husband we parked listening to an outside Tim McGraw concert playing at our little airport.

My daughter noticed a red ball of light south of her location moving north making the red ball larger. It stopped and two other red balls of light were generated. They all moved in a row then became one again, and soon disappeared.

I can not recall if they were directly over the concert goers’ but she was excited when she called me.

I had seen my own UFO Aug of 2012 when it went right over my house.

Red light formation over Grissom ARB Indiana

At approx. 2150 while watching fireworks on the old Grissom ARB housing area, myself, my 15yrold daughter and a neighbor saw 4 very Bright Reddish colored lights traveling north approx. a mile away and at about 1500 feet altitude, they were in a semi V formation, and they were not traveling vary fast, maybe 60 plus Mph, the weather was overcast,70 degrees and about 2mph wind from the east, and lots of fireworks going off in the area, yet the craft(s) made no sound. I had my daughter try to Video the objects, she did get some video of them, I went in the house to grab a pair of binoculars, I turned on the Flight Aware website for Grissom and the Live ATC, there were not aircraft noted on it in the immediate vicinity at the time and No ATC chatter. I returned outside, and could still see 3 of the objects now headed west, and beginning to disappear, as if the lights were fading or possibly turning off, we then lost sight of them at approx. 2205. No other aircr! aft were noted during the observation. Noted that as the Objects approached the fireworks stopped for a couple of minutes then resumed as the objects passed overhead.

I am a 58 yro Retired Astrophysicist, served in both Army and Marines in Law Enforcement, as well as being a Private Pilot. My daughter is 15, neighbor also witnessed the objects, and maybe a number of people in the area as there were a lot of people shooting off fireworks at the time.

I did call the sheriffs dept they had no other reports of this at the time.

Bright orange light traveling across the sky seen by 2 people

On Sunday evening, November 4th, 2012, I had a very strange experience.

I was unloading packages from the car last evening, when I noticed a bright orange light in the sky. It was traveling slowly from West to East. There was no sound from the object.

The sky was cloudy so there were no stars or moon in the sky. It appeared to be low in the atmosphere, perhaps a couple of hundred feet in the air. I got the impression it was floating more than being propelled through the air. It almost appeared to be a floating ember, but seemed too high in the sky & stayed at a consistent height and moved at a slow but steady pace across the sky.

I can't imagine what it might have been.

(/\) - Large V shape object with 5 amber lights just above the tree-line moving silently at 10-20 MPH

On August 20th 2012 approximately 9:30 pm I went to shut the front door. Before doing so I stood there to enjoy a cool breeze, and the sound of crickets. Facing north in the doorway, I noticed to the left of me 5 large amber lights that just came from the south side my house. The lights formed a wide V - (/\), or in the shape of a boomerang, and silently moved in a northerly direction. The speed was approximately 10-20 MPH and the height was just above the tree-line. The sky was clear, and some of the lights on the side closes to me flickered a few times. All of the lights moved in unison, and I could not make out a clear solid object. Once it reached the street, the left side moved over the light. What I was able to see on that side was definition, but with no solidity. It was strange; I could only see edges and not a solid mass. So in other words, the side lite by the street light was like an object with no sides and the other side was black. I was! scared, and excited at the same time. I tried to call my girlfriend, but while I was fumbling with the phone in the dark and looking for my shoes to run to the road I dropped it. Once I did get outside, and ran to the end of my walk, I saw two of my neighbors who hadn’t been out earlier. I asked them both if either one of them saw something in the sky. They both replied “no,” they too had just come out with their dogs. I reported it to MUFON right away while my memory was clear. I was so baffled by what I saw I couldn't sleep.

Since its properties were somewhat invisible other than the lights. One theory worth reckoning is it could have been manufactured with a shell made with something like Goldbeaters Skin. Goldbeater’s skin is made from cow innards. The quality is one of transparency and strength. I think they used it back in the early 1900’s airships like the German zeppelins. Maybe that would explain the cow mutilations? Whatever it was, it was also sighted the next day hovering over the municipal airport at 1pm and later that night by a woman and her son. Their sighting was at approximately 7:30 pm. She said the object was hovering over the school and looked somewhat transparent and had five to six lights. I have not been able to get them to fill out a report on MUFON. This whole deal is a little unnerving and I need to make some sense out of what I saw. I called the airport, and the police. No one reported seeing anything. I am hoping it did not see me. I don’t think I want it to! come back. Since I have no control over this situation it is a little frightening.

This has cured me of my scepticisim

Three round balls of light, in a southeasterly direction from our home. These lights were flashing red to blue. The items were also stationary as we could see military aircraft flying in the vacinity of these lights. The wind out of the wnw at 10 knots and we can hear a hilo turbine and rotor. Rough estimation of distance is within 5 nautical miles. Tried to reach family in the Marion and Wabash areas, and was unsuccessful in getting other witnesses.

4 orange fireballs satelitting a bright white light.

I was sitting outside on the evening of 7/22/08 and noticed a very bright white light breaking through the clouds. Four orange balls formed a satellite around the white light then moved off in different directions moving through the clouds. The orange fireballs moved back to the brighter light and moved out farther yet again. This went on for about 22 minutes with the lights converging several times to the stationary bright white light. We have quite a few aircraft that fly close to our house, however these objects did not have the sound or jet trails that we would normally see or hear associated with aircraft. This was witnessed by 3 people as well as me. 2 of the observers are former military personnel and had no explanation for what the lights could have been.

Two white glowing objects above Grissom Air Base in Peru Indiana. I was watching them for about 40 minutes. They seemed to dance with each other. They were not like any aircraft I have ever seen. One of them seemed to get dim and then bright again, while getting closer to the other object. They got closer and far away 3 times in the 40 minutes i seen them.

Saw a large number of UFOs flying rapidly above us, chasing each other, and suddenly disappearing unlike planes.

We, myself and 5 other friends, were having a bonfire at a friend's house. We noticed one light moving up and down behind the trees and above them. It would disappear and reappear rapidly. Suddenly, other lights and crafts appeared, one with a beam of light coming from it forming a path across the sky. Two lights or crafts chased another across the sky. One craft flew above us and there were red lights and white lights and a strange, foreign humming and whizzing sound. It did not have wings and could not have been a plane. There was lots of activity and strange lights everywhere. They moved fast and disappeared unlike planes or other aircraft. They moved irregularly.

A Really Wild Full Moon Night

At 1 am my 8 month old woke up screaming crying. I went into her room and began to rock her back to sleep. As I was rocking her I noticed an engine noise outside. I dismissed it thinking it was my mind playing tricks on me so late at night. Once I got her back to sleep I went back to my room and thought I saw a shadow in the doorway to the bathroom. I got a sudden fear and turned on the lights nothing was there. I again dismissed it thinking it was a shadow. About 3 am my older daughter age 6 came into my room I asked her if she had a bad dream. She said no " there was alians and ghost all around her bed. As she began to tell me the story I asked her if it was a dream she said "no, it was real", She continued to tell me the story and then started to say it was a dream. I'm am sure this was all just a silly night with our imaginations running wild. But it was enough for me to think about it more then once. Just as an FYI I was not aware of any tv show until the next day when I was telling my friend about it. She asked me if we watched the show. Thinking it was our minds playing tricks. I know this sounds so far fetched to me also. And I can't believe I am even typing it.

Strange lights!

As my daughter and I were coming home we BOTH saw in the sky a set of 3 different sections of lights close together, consisting of about 2-3 different lights in each section. Colors of red and yellow, maybe blue too, can't remember- we watched them trying to figure out if it was a plane or what and then all of a sudden the lights just went out!! Very Strange- and would've thought my mind was playing tricks if my 8 year old hadn't seen it to. I am a professional and I AM NOT making this up! I would love for someone to tell me what this was!! The other wierd thing was a truck was coming rom the opposite direction and his lights kept flashing on and off, don't know if he/she was trying to get my attention or if it was electrical interference? No trouble with my vehicle though.

Orange/amber globes appeared to come out from behind an object till fully round ,very bright a mist surounded the lights.

I am reporting this do to the current rash of sightings in north central Indiana from 4/8/04 thru early May I looked back thru the history files on your system and found the same type of sightings frequently in Indiana dating back to 1953. My Family and I were returning from my inlaws house at around 9:00p.m. traveling on 24 west toward Peru as we aproached town I noticed the sky seemed to iluminate with no apparent light source present, then a bright orange/amber light slowly appeared as if it were coming out from behind something until it was a full round circle. at the time I thought it was coming out from behind a cloud. My wife asked "are you seeing that!" I replied yyeeaa then like the first a second amber spere slowly appeared exactly like the first as if it were coming out from behind something. this was happening directly in front of us as we traveled down the high way the first globe slowly went away in the exact way it appeared then the second. at this point we approached the bottom of the hill and turned into the median then a third amber globe apeared exactly as before, and fade exactly as before I estimate these to have been mabe a half mile away from our location and quite large, I'd guess from the distance mabe 10 ft across unless the globes were closer to us than I am estimating each globe seemed to stay lit for mabe 10 to 15 seconds. I pulled over and got out to see if any others would light and to my suprise I could see all the stars, there were no clouds to explain the "ducking out from behind" way in which they apeared and disapeared. My wife was nervous and wanted me back in the car so we went on into town. An intresting side note to this, I picked up a pizza the next day and mentioned what I saw to the girl working behind the counter she told me she wittnesed the same thing a couple years previous while sitting outside her job eating her lunch, also a co-worker of mine wittnessed the same thing on 9/10/01 the day before 9/11 thats how she remebered the date this w! as in Ne w Waverly. If I ran into two people within 2 days who had seen the same thing I saw ,at diffrent times I can only guess and asume this must be happening very frequently I would be intrested in your investigation and best answers to this I do not believe as some have sugested to me that this is military exercises and flares I don't believe a flare would apear as a perfectly round amber light in the sky. I saw no aircraft in the area, have your people done any checking in on this? has the local Indiana chapter checked with Grissom radar or anything? please post some informaion on the progress of your investigation in Northern Miami county and Rochester. big luminous yellow light in sky that fades and then produces 3 more that blink and fade out

I will try my best to tell this as i can recollect. I left my home in Wabash, Indiana at approximately 8:00 p.m. en route to Kokomo,In. to see my girlfriend. I was on bypass 24 east around the area of the city Peru gazing up at the sky in front and to the sides of the vehicle. Plenty of stars were out and i always notice venus, which i know is commonly mistaken for ufo's. Well, after about 20 minutes i notice to the upper left corner (drivers side) a luminous bright yellow light of significant size glowing and just hovering there like i've never seen before. I would guess it to be just a little above a radio tower in it's reference to height in the sky.This yellow light had definately captured my attention to the fullest. Ok, so trying to drive and keep my eye on it without accident, it faded out for maybe a minute before glowing again. It did this a couple of times for reasons i don't know before 3 more of the same size lights appeared to what would be the right of whatever it was. These other 3 yellow lights (which were all in the same size) luminated in what i would describe in junction to the original light as going up in a quarter moon fashion. They stayed on only briefly before giving what i'm calling a blink in order from the first yellow to the fourth yellow and then it was done. I did turn left on county road 550 to try and get closer if not locate it after it faded but had no results. I have to admit that i am a believer in the ufo phenomenon and when i witnessed this it really made me nervous! It is really hard to say exactly where it was, but i do know that it was close to the Grissom Air Force Reserve Base in Bunker Hill, Indiana (roughly about 10 miles from where i was at the time) to make me wonder if it was montoring activity if any going on there. I did notice a reasonalbe amount of airplanes around so i knew i could dismiss the fact that it wasn't a plane. The planes were much smaller and appeared to be higher. After i reached my destination i told my encounter to my girlfr! iend wit h her knowing my interst in this she could tell that i was shaken . I never reported this to any law enforcement, media or the base, but now i wish i would have. I don't imagine they could have giving me any answers because there are a lot of skeptics, but i need someone to know that understands just what so many people are witnessing on a astonishing basis.

Slow moving silver egg-shaped unidentified flying object observed from my front porch twice::::very concerned!!!

this is the second time in 1 year I have seen this same exact kind of object! the object is a silver shaped egg, that has 1 visible light, the color of the light has the same color characteristics of a cool-blue headlight. the first time was during the afternoon, this second time was shortly after midnight, I am rather convinced that this object has a purpose for I spotted it from the same location, "my front porch", I am positive it is not a weather balloon, for both times I used my binoculars, I am submitting this, because I feel this could end up having a pattern, and feel it should be payed attention to... The object moved in a slow, what appeared to be slow moving, and i observed it until it was out of my view...

UFO - 15 feet away and scared to death.

Presently, I am a 31 year old female with two college degrees. I was a senior in high school during this encounter. My boyfriend and I were parked along side of a country road talking. We saw what appeared to be a bright street light, but then it moved. We watched it hover above a farm house and then a tree, radiating a bright white light from the bottom of the craft. Then it moved towards us slowly. It was about 15 feet from us and we were scared to death. The craft was a gray silver metallic color. In the middle was a band of lights. The lights turned on and it was like the most profuse pinks, purples, reds, blues, greens. The lights were astounding. Then the lights stopped. We could see the shape of the craft, where the lights came from and on the bottom there seemed to be a golden dome that was transparent in nature. We assumed the bright white light over the farm house and tree came from this transparent dome. We watched the craft hover with a slight hum, but nothing loud or distinct in nature. Then the craft started moving away from us and it disappeared over a line of trees in the distance. I was to afraid to turn the car back on because I was afraid of it coming back. I had my face plastered to the windsheild watching this amazing site. I'll never forget the bruises my boyfriend left on my legs begging me to start the car and leave. I wonder if it were just some new aviator craft from the Grissom Air Force Base or was it some governmental project unbeknownst to the public, but what I saw with my friend that night, was nothing that the public would take lightly. I've never reported my sighting until now. I will never forget my experience. If there really are little grey people, I came too close for my comfort, if you get my drift.

Saucer lights up farmhouse, tree, and puts on a light show for two unsuspected teenagers.

I was approximately 18 years old at the time. (I am now 33 years old) My male companion and I were driving down an old country road, where we stopped off for a little car talk session, as we were having fun that night. I turned of the car lights, but left the radio on. Then the radio station started messing up and completely stopped. I looked over at my friend, who at the time was approxiamately 17. I looked in front of the car and there was, what appeared to be a very bright street light about 100 feet in front of us. I asked my friend if they had a new street light installed because it was bright. He said no. Then, I looked again, and the light had moved positions. It was now hoving over a rural farm house that we had stopped by. I asked him if the light had moved positions, and he laughed at me. We both looked again, and it moved a third time. This time it was hovering over a tree. The house and tree looked bright as day. The light was so bright that it was like putting a spot light right on them. Only in a big way. We both continued to watch the object as there was absolutely no sound, yet it moved. I'm not sure that whoever was flying the craft realized that we were in the car watching, but we didn't move. We watched the object come closer and we started getting very scared. It came very close and we got a very detailed description. The object was a grey-metallic color, it was saucer shaped. It had what appeared to be tiny windows in the middle of the saucer, going all the way around it. The object just hovered there and then it happened. They turned on the lights. Oh what amazing lights. They were almost irridescent in color. Red, Yellow, green, blue. I could almost see like a fuschia pink/purple color in there. Like a christmas tree with flashing lights. Only they flashed the lights so fast that I couldn't keep up with the color changes. My friend was punching me in my leg and screaming to drive, but all I could do was put my face in the windsheild and! say, "L ook at all the pretty colors." Then I saw what seemed to be an almost transparent dome on the bottom of the saucer. It was like a golden amber color. I thought that maybe the bright lights were coming from that. I mean the bright white light over the house and tree. The dome wasn't very big at all. Matter of fact, I would have never noticed it unless the thing was so close. It was approximately 1 acre away, just hovering. It was as close to me as my neighbors house is today. I was completely mesmerized. Then, approximately 5 minutes after the last move and light show, it just stopped all lights and moved to the south as fast as it could. It was gone in a flash, and I was shaken. Of course, it was a very big ordeal and I told my parents about it immediately. I stayed home from school for a while that week, as I was a senior in high school, and was very confused about the situation. My friend had gone to school and when I went back, he had told people at school what we had seen. I was embarrassed about it because I didn't want people knowing what we had seen. I didn't want people to make fun of us about it or ask any questions. Now that I'm older, I've learned to deal with this situation much better. If anyone at the center has seen anything remotely close to what I've encountered, please let me know. Curious.

CIRCLE OF APPROXIMATELY TEN LIGHTS SIGHTED HOVERING OVER PERU, INDIANA.

In the early morning hours of mid summer in 1991 I witnessed a "Circle" UFO. I had gotten off of work at a local restaurant. I walked home a block and a half away to change from my work clothes and into my running clothes. I proceeded to run to a local Villiage Pantry for a late night snack. I was running on West Main St on the north side of the road. I at the time was having a conversation with "God." I had asked him and her if they could show me an "Angel of the Lord" or what I refer to as whats described in the Christian Bible. Almost insantaniously behind my destination spot on the North East corner of Main and Hospital Rd I noticed what appeared to be an airplane. I was a little confused as to why this plane or object was flying so low and right over a main street in town. I stopped running and proceeded to walk the rest of the way. All the while watching the object come closer. It at first appeared to be a taller vehicle in the road behind a regular size car which was stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Main and Hosptial Rd. I thought maybe it was a "Monster Truck." Living in the midwest that wouldn't have surprised me. But then it was noticeably higher in the horizon. And the lights in front did look very much like bright yellow headlights of a truck. It then appeared like lights from maybe a medium sized aircraft. I stood on the north east corner of Main and Freemont St to observe the object come closer. I had seen a car in front of the object in question turn left off of West Main St then proceed North onto Hospital Rd. I often wondered if the occupants in that vehicle had seen what I had seen. Just south of me on the South East corner of Main and Freemont is a church. And on the South West corner of the intersection there is a wood and brick home. A home also stood on the North West corner. On the corner that I was standing there stands a mansion. I checked the wind around me and listened for any noise. There was neither wind or noise. Only the so! und of m y breathe and the sound of my shoes when I occasionally moved a foot or two. There also was no moon visible and it was a starry night. The object proceeded to move east over West Main St. When the object became closer to me the "headlights" disappeared behind the trees and when the object was totally within view it hovered over the trees and the home on the South West corner of West Main and Freemont St. I was in "awe" of what I was seeing. We were caddy corner from each other. I couldn't make out a body to what I was seeing only approximately ten soft circular white lights in a perfect circle. The distance of the object or lights seemed to be within 50 feet from the ground or 30 from the top of the home it was hovering over. It was very surreal to say the least. I wasn't scared. I was enthrawled if anything. I wanted to know and experience more of what I was seeing. I started thanking "God" for giving me a response to what I was only moments ago talking with him and her about. Then I thought to myself, "Why me?" Some twenty-something year old from Peru, Indiana. I was no one important at least in the eyes of anyone on Earth besides maybe my mother. I decided to go in for a closer look by jaywalking across the street where I would be right under it or them. In the same instance that I proceeded to walk over to the South West corner of the intersection the lights and maybe object started to move in a "counter clock wise" motion heading South East. I stopped in the middle of the intersection saying in a whisper, "Don't go." And, "I want to see more." I was not afraid. I watched as it or they dissappeared behind the houses and trees in town. I ran to the river which is three blocks south of where I stood. Which took approximately a minute. I stood on the railroad tracks that are located on the north side of the Wabash River. In the South Eastern part of town maybe a half a mile away all I saw was the same "beams" of light that I had initially seen shining toward the south. I still ! could se e no shape to what was giving off the strange lights. I at that moment assumed it was a plane and came to the conclusion that the object or lights that I saw had vanished. Only now do I know that the beams of lights where of the same. The following day I phoned Grissom Air Force Base which is located South West of town to see if there had been any night flights the night I witnessed my UFO. I was told that there were no night flights in the area. Which didn't surprise me because the base was due to close in a matter of a few years. It was only until today that I decided to find out if others have witnessed similar occurrances and experiences by logging onto NUFRC. You would think that I would have written the exact month and date of this. But after being laughed at over and over again after telling my eye witness account the month and date didn't seem so important. Until now. Many people have labeled me "crazy" because of what I tell them. "I could care less." Now I have validation of what I had seen. Whether it was "God" giving me an answer to what I was asking or something or someone else...
