Drone sighting

I got a notication on my neighborhood app that there were sightings. Went outside and saw three sets of lights blinking in the same location in the southeast. They moved along the horizon heading west. Went inside and came out to them more sparsely in the sky. Drove to the south near the ocean (towards Gilgo) and saw a few in the sky, along with planes.

Weekend of Bethpage Airshow - was looking for anything in the sky. Saw UAP.

Weekend of Bethpage Airshow - was looking for anything in the sky. From stated location above, looking very high in the sky - approximately 36,500 to 41,000 ft high. Looking Westward from my location, Tracking it going North by Northwest, by eye. Held at arms length, UAP was about the size of a slightly less than a pea, but greater than a grain of rice. Going very fast for a craft that high. No trails seen. Vividly tracked it visually for about 9 seconds. Then, saw it take an immediate and distinct 90 degree turn downward to about 18,000 feet within two to maybe 3 seconds. Distinctly able to follow it visually to that level when it simply disappeared. Not the Blue Angels (flying this weekend) . Not commercial. Appeared relatively normal until it took the 90 degree turn and accelerated downward in the same position but to a lower altitude.

Let dog out 10:15. Object still hovering in same are 30 minutes now. Not sure how long before 10:15. Still watching it as i type. Dropped down vertically a few “feet” but still in same area. Red, green, white blinking lights with some quick yellow blinking and what, from time to time, looks like row of white lights on bottom of object. Looks oval or cigar shape from my angle. If possible, i will upload video i took with cell phone.

Two bright red -orange centers fly over Long Island. Disappeared within minutes of each other after traveling north.

I came outside to gauge the weather to see if the sky cleared, as it was overcast earlier, it was now a solid grey high ceiling with not even a breeze or gust of wind. The overcast provided bright gray backdrop which the red/orange circles stood out against. I immediately noticed two red lights with orange centers heading north.

No sound was heard from the objects moving relatively fast similar to a plane but not as fast as one. The two separate circles which appeared a meter apart from my point of view on the ground. Initially, I thought it was a reflection on my glasses but it wasn't as they were around my neck.

I observed and noted that these objects were definitely not our usual airplanes. Living on Long Island the flights, currently, fly low across Long Island east to west on the south shore heading to Kennedy or LaGuardia. Normal commercial flights that travel south (up the coast) north across Long Island, as the 2 orange circles did, but at a higher altitude as they are heading towards Connecticut using Robert Moses water tower as a landmark to cross Long Island. The red orange circles followed a similar path but on a slight angle no greater than 10° west at a lower altitude. There was absolutely no engine sound or buzz from a drone which our neighbors fly frequently.

I put my glasses on and by the time I looked up one had disappeared maybe 20 seconds. The overall distance covered was at best estimate was somewhere between Montauk Hgw and Union Blvd past Southern State. I don't believe it reached Long Island Expressway before the second one just disappeared.

After, September 11, the sky above Long Island was constantly monitored by our military. There were similarly spaced however these apoeared side by side not the usual one aircraft leading. Depending on the direction some of those aircrafts appeared to have a solid red light but never in the path these 2 red orange circular objects traveled. It was not a long observation, a few minutes on a steady straight path, no sudden movements or jerks. The 1st one disappeared after about a minute the second disappeared within 2 minutes.

I toke my dog out and noticed a light blue light flickering. At first I thought it was a plane until I noticed its flight characteristics. It stopped in mid air and shot to the left at a high speed and came to a complete stand still. After watching it drift upwards it shot downwards and made a sharp right turn and came to a complete stop again. Realizing this was a ufo I ran in the house with my dog to get my phone to record it. When returning outside it was completely gone.I have been looking in that direction every night since them and nothing! N ow when I take the dog out I bring my phone..

These objects appear every day on a night vision camera during the day.

From 1 pm to 5 pm these objects slowly appear as round masses from a far away distance. As they come closer they for a rectangle shape. There is movement and lights flashing on the objects. At one time 2 of them joined side by side.

My camera is a night vision camera and these objects are not visible with the human eye. These all take place during the day and there are usually between 7-9 of them. My camera is mounted at my bedroom window on the second floor and pointed at the sky 24/7. I have no idea what they could be.

Great bright white/blue flash lit the sky and a ray of the same traveled south.

Standing in my yard talking to my neighbor, we tend to look up. We saw a lit up craft traveling northeast at a fast velocity.

Then, by my fence, facing south above a large tree on the corner of my eye as my neighbor is looking south east, a huge bright white/blueish flash went off above the tree and a ray if light same color as described, pretty wide ray of light traveled south right after the flash, my neighbor looks south west and sees a craft darting off west.

It shook me to the core, it was low, bright flash that lit up the sky, like a flash from a camera.

I had goose bumps and got a little scared, it was intense.

Bright orange fireball passing over Central Islip travelling in an East South Easterly direction at approximately 10:30 PM

My friend and I were standing in the street in East Islip, NY, at approximately 10:30 PM last night (July 5th)when he pointed over my head towards the Northern sky and said, Look at that! What the heck is that?

I turned around to see what he was pointing at and saw what looked like a single, large orange glowing fireball traveling horizontally across the sky. We both are very familiar with the appearance of all types of air traffic at night, as he lives a few miles from McArthur Airport and I live right under the approach path for La Guardia Airport.

We agreed that this was no aircraft that we had ever seen before. There were no blinking marker lights or any engine sound whatsoever. It appeared to be a ball of orange colored fire.

Although we were unable to determine the object's exact altitude, I would estimate it to be around 2500 feet and, for it to travel the distance that it did in 2-3 minutes, it must have been traveling at a speed equal to or greater than large commercial aircraft that I have observed approaching JFK or La Guardia.

The object continued to glow a bright orange and moved rapidly in an Easterly direction, growing smaller, until it disappeared from sight in a period of time of about 2-3 minutes.

Me and my family we're talking in the back yard on my deck when we saw these reddish, orangey lights. They were just flying in a formation over my house.

These lights stood over my house for a good 15 seconds then they simply vanished.

In my sighting I saw a tiny yellow ball then following it was a medium redish, orangey bright light riding next to the same exact object..

Then there was a big reddish orangey ball of light at the end with a tiny yellowish ball at the end of the whole thing.

6 Orange glowing fireball objects flying soundlessly west to east along south shore of Long Island

At almost 5 or 10 minute intervals, first one fire ball moving from west to east along the south shore of Long Island. Burnt orange in color, cruising at a low altitude with absolutely no noise. Then the second, then 2 together, then the 5th and then the 6th at about 10:30 p.m.

Shortly after each passed us, the light flickered as if it was going through a cloud, and then went out completely - but there are no clouds in the sky this evening, and the stars are clearly visible. Each of the 6 did this.

We looked at the last one through binoculars, and the orange lights seemed to be in a honeycomb hexagonal pattern.

One military jet flew from east to west and veered south between the 4th and 5th sighting.

4 Orange lights in formation of rectangle in sky/ no sound

While stopped facing south on Connetquot Ave in East Islip, both people in the car saw 4 Orange lights in the sky moving from Southwest to East/ Northeast. The 4 lights were in the formation of a small rectangle moving together at the same speed. they dimmed out for 2 seconds then returned at the same time almost as if paying through a cloud. It was late at night but the recently full moon was lighting up the sky pretty well, and it's a fairly clear night as well. I've never seen anything like this in my life. We DO have an airport local, however this made no sound (all planes over here fly low enough to hear loudly), plus these lights were TOO low to be any planes. Very interesting!

Red Orange Objects Flying V Formation In Sky Above Long Island New York

On December 18th, 2012 in Islip NY I was standing outside a friends home waiting for a ride back to my house. Often at my house, since there is a clear view of the sky, I look up and hope to see a shooting star. On clear nights I often do.

So standing outside my friends home I decide to do the same. I'm looking south and up to Orion's Belt. I tilted my head back a little to see above me and I see many objects whizzing around. The objects are red-orange in color and about twice the size of a star but only a fraction of the brightness. As bright as something on the edge of a street lights view. The objects flew like insects fly with sharp and fast darting movements. The objects were moving quickly and as they were moving around they also all started moving south in direction and within two seconds had formed a large V shape consisting of about 7 red orange objects and a line of 3 following on the left side. There were no streaks as shooting stars. There was no sound.

The formation of red orange lights continued what seemed now seemed slowly but smoothly on a southern course gaining height and flying towards Orion's Belt. I did not look away, I reached for my phone to record video not looking away at all, but it did not load until the objects were out of view. My friend showed up the literal second they disappeared. I was still staring up in the sky and I yelled for him to come and look. By that time the objects in the sky were gone. What I saw tonight on Long Island...a place I grew up on, I have never seen the like of in the sky. I am a religious person. I work in the music and food industry, I fish and do things we all do. I know what I saw.

I will never forget those 10 seconds of my life. It is now one of my biggest memories. It is unsettling to me, however; I am a person of truth and I would like to know what exactly the red-orange luminescent bodies flying in the sky in formation above our heads are. Thank you for your time.

and the object was really high in the sky but it looked driffrent not a star it was strobeing bright white, red, and it was hovering so i got out my binoculars and zoomed in and it kinda looked cigar shape.

It was clear night and I was grilling dinner in my backyard. When I looked to the Western sky I couldn’t help but notice a bright orange, spherical figure that resembled the shape of a hot air balloon. It almost looked like an orange fireball. From the ground it appeared to be about half the size of the moon. It seemed to be moving across the sky from south to north. I notified my family in my house. Eight people witnessed this object. It took about two minutes to escape our view. No one has any idea what it could have been.

Similar to descriptions before... 8 amber colored lights coming one by one after each other from one direction and once they all disappeared there was one flashing light in the area were they disappeared. It could not be a plane because there was a plane in the opposite direction and it was moving much faster then the objects in the sky!!!!

2 silver spheres zigzaging very high in the atmosphere

a white tiny light moving thru the sky

was 520am, i went outside and was looking up at the stars for about 5 sec, when i start to see this white dim light moving through the sky. it looked like it was beyond the stars cause it was so high up and almost impossible to see but i kept my eyes focused on this tiny light. i followed it to try to see what it was.it seemed to zigzag some so then i knew it wasn't a plane, besides there was no red flashing lights, just a dim white light moving thru the stars. i watched it for as long as i could see it.

Here's the story:

I was looking out my window and suddenly in the sky there was this finger-shaped light-blob, pink with a few colors mixed in. It was clear-cut and definitely looked like it was in the sky. Before I blinked the thing vanished, which was very peculiar.

I grabbed my camera, shooting pics but I didn't notice until I downloaded them that I caught something. The object looks nothing like what I saw, but I have a theory: I saw the "real" thing in some kind of transaction (so I could see it), and my camera saw the energy field around it.

On Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 at 6:50 PM, I witnessed one contrail moving at great speed, then I observed another smaller contrail faster than the first and gaining speed on the first contrail, then a third contrail following both of the objects. All three contrails disappeared at the same time. The back round was a blue sky no clouds in the early evening, I have video and pictures. I called the FAA but it was too late they were closed.

No sighting. Just an unexplainable swoosh of air as if a plane was going to crash. But then NOTHING!

I had just come home from Applebees and it was about 1:30AM. I was going to the bathroom and decided to open the window because it was unseasonably warm that night (about 50 F). I was reading a magazine and then all of a sudden I hear this loud swish of air outside. It sounded like a large aircraft flying over with absolutely no engines on. Then I heard a second sound immediately after the first one. I thought to myself that something is going to crash. I remember the TWA 800 crash and I thought that it was going to happen again in my back yard. However, I looked outside and saw nothing. I thought maybe the object was on the other side of my house and I will hear it crashing soon, however, there was no crash. it just swooped by with no sound whatsoever other then the sound of the rushing air around it. I quickly finished up and went outside and it was the weirdest thing. It was so quiet. I have never heard it so quiet before in my life. Not a single sound. Absolutely no wind. No sounds from cars or anything else, just complete peacefulness and a uncomfortable quietness.

I don't know what this was that flew by my house that night. I thought for sure a large plane would come crashing down but nothing ever happened. It was the strangest thing I have ever experienced. I still get goosebums thinking about it.

I alerted my girlfriend and was able to get her to look quick before it went away; she was able to catch it as it went fast across the sky and dissapeared.

It wasn't moving straight across the sky but it went up and down 3 or 4 times in an oscilloscope-like path before taking off in a straight line.

The speed was incredible. The object did not slow down as it changed from downward to upward motion.

My husband,9yr. old son and I were coming to the traffic light on Hawthorne Ave and Half Mile Rd. when we witnessed a green fireball shaped light pass over our car and head southwest over our neighborhood. It was too low to be an aircraft from our near by airport.It seemed to disappear over the houses and in the trees. It didn't fade away into the sky like a normal airplane or helicopter, it disappeared! It was defenitley not a firework because fireworks would burn out over such a distance and also leave a trail of fire from it's tail as it passes you, this did not!No sound either!My husband is a volunteer fireman and he also agrees that it was no firework or known aircraft. I never would have wanted to believe it if I hadn't read the same exact discriptions on this site, now I am convinced my family and I had our first ufo experience and it makes my hair stand on end now that I think about it, to be honest,but still curious!

I was leaving work about 12:30AM when I noticed in the sky an oval shapped lighted object in the sky. At first I thought it was a search light looking for planes. Then as I was driving around the horse shoe shapped road in the industrial park, I noticed that it was only about 100 feet in the sky and there are no airports or small planes that fly in the Central Islip area of long Island. As I started to get closer to the lighted object I noticed that it was moving lower to the street and started following my car. I knew this was not a search light looking for planes now. Now I'm driving as fast as I can, all the while this object is following me. When I got to the end of the street, the traffic light was Red, I stopped and waited for it to turn Green, as I looked up to my left was this oval shapped object now hovering to my left only about 100 feet in the sky, it was as if it was waiting for me at the intersection. All of a sudden this oval shapped lighted object splits up into 4 smaller oval shapped lighted objects, and they start rotating around each other, all the time staying the same distance apart from one another. Now the traffic light turns green and I take off driving as fast as I can. I'm heading North on Carlton Ave. to get to the LIE. I look over to my left and the 4 lighted objects are following me on the left side of the road, only about 100 feet in the sky. Then I saw head lights in my rear view mirror, I tried to get the attention of the car behind me, the driver just passed me up, I looked over and noticed the 4 lighted objects were gone now. I keept driving North on Carlton Ave. and now I was the only car on the road again, I look over to my left and once again I see the 4 oval shapped lighted objects on the left side of the road, about 100 feet in the sky and moving alone with my car. Now I'm really getting scarred, I don't know what the hell this thing is. Then once again another car approaches from behind me, I look over to my left and the 4 lighted objects are gone again. I'm st! ill driv ing North on Carlton Ave. and I don't see the objects anymore, since the second car passed by me. Then instead of going straight home I decide to turn down one of the residential streets in Central Islip. As I was slowly driving down this dark narrow street something strange came over me, and I asked myself why did I turn down this residential street instead of going straight home? I then decided to get back onto Carlton Ave. and go home. But instead of just turning the car around, I decided to continue down this street and make a right and then another right to get back to Carlton Ave. I finally get to the end of the residential street and I see a lighted object in the sky, directly in front of me, this time only about 50 feet in the sky, I froze for a minute as I watched this object hovering in the sky. Then all of a sudden the 1 object splits off into 4 objects, just like it did earlier. Now there were 4 smaller oval shapped lighted objects hovering in the sky, and rotating around each other right in front of me. I step on the gas pedal and make the right turn, I'm driving as fast as I can, I get to the next corner and make another right turn to get back to Carlton Ave. I'm driving as fast as I can and looking back every other second, the objects were still following me. I finally get to the end of the street, I make a left onto Carlton Ave. I'm heading north and driving as fast as I can, I don't see the lighted objects anymore. I finally get to the LIE and all the way home I don't see the lighted objects. I don't know what it was that I saw, but it was diffenitly not a search light of any kind, it was diffentitly following me. And I never saw anyhing like that again.

My closest enounter was at my old house in West Islip on long Island by rte 231. We lived along a backwater area full of trees that separated us from rte 231. My wife, two kids, and I saw a black boomerang shaped craft move northward, silently in a very controlled straight line just along the tree tops at about as fast as a person would walk, actually caressing the tree tops on the eastern side of 231. It was still light out though heading into twilight. It then stopped about 40 feet from our house (just on the other side of the adjacent street) and hovered motionless for maybe 2 minutes, like it was parked. We watched it from our back porch. I have 20 20 vision, and could see that there were fairly sharp angled surfaces that appeared to have a rough surface similar to velcro. This much reminded me of some known stealth technology, however there was no sign of any means of propulsion. It was about 40 or 50 feet across (wingspan) and about only 4 feet in heig! ht, not high enough for someone to stand, or hardly even sit - if it were manned a person would probably have to be lying down. I was trying to image how it was being flown. Maybe it was unmanned? There were no motors and no jets, no sound or light coming from it. It was all black. I told my wife to run in and get the video camera, and as she went in, it moved straight upward several thousand feet within a minute or two, by the time she returned. We turned on the video camera and captured about 30 seconds of video before the battery died, but by then it was thousands of feet up and it looks like some little black boomerang in the sky (and as a jet liner files past it, probably a few thousand feet above it, it flexed one of its wings while the other remained more or less stationary). Then it kept rising until it was out of sight. Having seen it up close I know it was not a balloon or some inflated thing, though it was apparently flexible to some extent. It was quite solid ap! pearing when close up. My 7 year old son actually exclaimed "m! aybe the re are aliens inside!". I laughed a little nervously said, "maybe, who knows?". At first I thought it might be one of ours, but I didn't think it would be very typical for a top secret ultra high tech craft to be flying around close to the ground in a residential neighborhood? Unfortunately I don't still have my video - I gave it to a friend where I used to work who was a 'ufo enthusiast' and who told me he had seen many ufos while living in Arizona as a kid. He had told me he had seen many spherical colored objects flying over their neighborhood at several thousand feet in broad daylight, often being chased by jets (in the 60s?).

This was peculiar to say the least. We had just returned from a day trip to Fire Island and I was on my back porch (lived basically next to 231 a north / south traffic artery on long Island) and I noticed a very strange object flying about 40 or 50 feet off the ground north along the wooded area between my house and 231. It looked like a boomerang and was black and was moving at about 10 miles an hour. There were no jets, windows or lights. The wing was about 40 feet across, but the height (floor to ceiling) was only 4 feet. It seemed to flex a little at one point as if it were of a flexible material. It looked like and was moving horizontally like an aircraft though (not baloonlike). I told my wife to run in and get the video camera. It began to rise vertically quite rapidly at that point. By the time my wife got the camera (abot one minute) it was at about 3000 feet. I began filming the wing. A commercial jet flew past, and it kept rising vertically until it disappeared straight up. The video ran out of batteries before it disappeared completely out of sight. I have seen stealth fighters, as some have suggested this might have been but it was not like any of the ones I have ever seen or read about. The object seemed to turn one wing slightly at one point so it did not appear to be a completely rigid object. Are there man made objects that can behave like this? We have no idea what it might have been. I have not seen the video in many years but if I had to it might be possible to locate it in some closet but this is not a guarantee. The video doesn't show much detail unfortunately anyway because the sky is bright behind it and the bommerang object is fairly small in the image because it had risen to such an altitude by the time I had the camera running.

Huge Triangle UFO

I can't remember the date exactly but i believe it was 1990 or 1991. My story begins when i and a friend was going back to our block in which we live on. We both was coming back from a girls house that lived only a block over. When we left and turned down the corner heading towards our block. My friend & i see a huge craft. The color was that of and outside street lamp post. Orange yellow glow emitted from this triangular UFO. We both pointed just like the movies and realized that we needed someone else to witness this. We ran 2 blocks down to another friends house. By the time we reached the corner of the other friends block the object was no where to be seen. After looking at the sky for a few seconds i managed to see the object. This thing was so far away it blew my mind on how it was so far away. After that we went to tell our other friend and he thought that we was playing games with him.

This UFO made no noise and when we first saw it i must say the size of this craft was large. Even to this day i see it in my mind like it was just yesterday. I tell everyone about my encounter. Strange part about this, is that my friend who witness this sighting with me speaks nothing of it because he feels that he would be made fun of. Indeed people have joked about it but i stick to my story and i win them over when they see i am being real about it. That day changed my worldview, I believe we are not alone.

My mother and I had just returned from the grocery store. I had gotten out of the car first, and was heading toward the house, when I turned back to see if my mother was behind me. I looked up a bit and saw a large craft, floating silently in the sky. It was round in shape but had a raised section in the center. The section had angled sides and a flat top. I yelled out to my mother, who came over and stood next to me while we watched and discussed it. I had the impression that it was quite big. It was floating what I think was about 6000-8000 feet above a very tall tree that was there, which helped me get perspective on it. There was nothing unclear about it. Over the next 10-15 minutes the sun began to set, we were entering into twilight, and some light clouds started moving in. At that time, the fire alarm for the town, which was a few blocks away, started sounding, but instead of just doing so several times, it just kept sounding, over and over again, without stopping. I spotlight appeared in the sky, which was scanning all around the area where the craft was. We speculated that other people must have seen it, and that they were probably trying to find it with the spotlight. It was frustrating, because they came close to it a few times, but missed it. At that time, I left my mother there and ran inside to get my father. He was a pilot in the navy, and had experience with observing aircraft. By the time I got him up and outside, the craft was gone. My mother said that it took off so fast that she wasn’t sure which direction it went in. She told me a few years later, before she died, that it had actually vanished, and that she was so stunned by having seen it that she said it took off instead. She was afraid that if the said that it had simply disappeared, everyone would think she was crazy, or that she made it up, because in her and everyone else’s mind, huge objects, especially ones found floating in the sky, do not just disappear.

I told many people about this at the time, but found out very quickly that very few people would believe me, and that the one’s who didn’t would ridicule me. It was frustrating, but after a while I just stopped talking about it. The only thing that made anyone realize that I was telling the truth is that I was with my mother when it happened, and she was a very honest, rock-solid person. Any time the subject of UFO’s came up in our presence, we would just look at each other and sort of roll our eyes. We knew what we saw.

The second sighting I had was with five other people. We were outside during the summer, on a hot night. Our family friend, Mr. M, pointed out what he thought was a satellite, moving across the sky. We (me, my sister, mother, father, Mr. M and another young friend) were standing in our driveway watching it, and talking about satellites. But when it came to a certain point, it suddenly stopped, right next to a second light of approximately the same size and brightness. We were all quite surprised, since as far as I know, satellites don’t stop like that. It stayed in that position for a few minutes, and then came the big shocker – the second light simply disappeared, as if someone turned off a switch. A few seconds later, the first light continued across the night sky, and over the horizon.

I had one more sighting, in the summer of 1973. I was alone, in my bedroom, at the rear of the house. I was lying in bed, when I saw lights coming from above the house. There was no sound at all. When I pulled the curtain back, I could see a triangular shaped craft, but it was hard to see, because it was 10-11 at night, and very dark. There were lights on bottom that were strongly colored. I believe they were primary colors: red, a bluish color and a yellowish one. These lights were in groups of three and seemed to be rotating, on the bottom of the craft. It seemed to be hovering VERY low – maybe 200-300 feet. I was frightened, because it was so close, and my parents were out, so I was alone. It was all over in a minute. It moved on, heading north, over the house. I few minutes later, I went outside to see if I could still see it, but it was gone. At that time, a helicopter with no lights hovered over the house at a low altitude for 1-2 minutes, and then flew off in the same direction that the craft had. It was quite loud.

These sightings were in Islip, NY, between approximately 1969/1970 and 1973. I know you don’t want names, but I would like you to know that I would gladly take a polygraph, or testify about this in any forum. I think a lot of people have sightings but are afraid to tell anyone, for fear of ridicule. I didn’t tell anyone about these experiences for years, for that reason.

I was 9 years old and it was daytime. We saw a silver disc directly over head. Many people saw it.

There was a commotion in the street outside our house. Many of the neighbors were looking up. We saw a silver disc just hovering silently over us what seemed to be about 600ft or so up. I distinctly remember a man in a black suit, white shirt, black tie and bowler hat coming up and telling us it was a weather balloon. I was 9 years old at the time and remember the look in his eyes. He wasn't convincing. I don't remember if it left or what happened after that. I'm a retired ship Captain and since I saw 3 more events which I'll report on I thought I'd file this one. It corresponds to what some police officers saw two towns over during this period.
