Rotating reg,green,and white light that shrunk in size and disappearedin 2-3 seconds

observed a red,green,and white rotating light for 5min. I was looking northeast over the Tappan Zee bridge when I spotted this light.While wathing it spin it started to deminish in size till it disappeared in 2-3 seconds.
