Bright orb like UAP flying towards earth, leveling out and changing course

While looking at the western sky last night (Tue, 5/27/25) I observed a bright yellow orb like UAP flying towards the east at a low altitude and seemingly from nowhere.

Once orb was at a lower altitude a plane approached with red and white lights…the orb stopped, dimmed in brightness, changed course west, and shot back up into the sky while dimming in brightness causing me to lose sight of it.

Afterwards, I observed multiple dimmer orbs coming from all directions and moving in all directions. There was also a heavier than normal aircraft presence, all with the same red and white lights and mostly heading north. Additionally, 3 military helicopters flew over UF, the next day (today, 5/28/25), I have never seen or heard them on campus prior to today.

I do not feel like this was any type of space debris, satellite, or meteor due to the fact I observed these orbs shooting up into the sky, coming down super low leveling out, and moving N/S/E/W.

UFO flying north then east while traveling on i75 in Gainesville

At about 10pm my daughter and I were returning home from watching a movie. We got onto the interstate headed north at the archer road exit.

As I was driving I noticed a green steady light in the air. It appeared to be coming from the west headed east. Altitude and speed seemed lower/slower than a plane but higher than drones. The lights looked like two thick bars of steady green light and appeared too be on the bottom. It then seemed to be headed north following the path of the interstate.

As we neared our exit (390) at 39th ave the object was still in the sky and it appeared closer. The green lights were no longer visible. There were now flashing lights of orange/yellow that appeared to be the side of the craft. The lights were in a line and it appeared to be a light colored, disk-like form that was rotating (or multiple lights in a straight line flashing in a sequence to give the appearance of rotation at night). It was headed east again at this point but was slower than a plane, not a helicopter (no sound) and too big and long range to be a consumer drone. My daughter took a video at this point while I was watching with my eyes. As we were watching it fly east it disappeared from the sky. Where it went out of view there were no trees or obstructions.

I watched my daughter’s video but it’s not great quality due to the night conditions, light pollution from other sources, lots of movement and she zoomed in. It also does not show the detail I was able to see with my eyes.

It was going so fast in a straight line I thought it was a meteor but then blue light flashed and looked like it went straight down

I was driving just south of Gainesville TX and the night sky was clear and dark. I observed a white streak about 2-3000 ft above flying extremely fast in a straight line headed South - direction of Fort Worth-same direction I was traveling, at first I thought it was a meteor but then it flashed a blue light and back to white and looked like it was going down, but I saw no crash or smoke or anything else after that- I thought it was strange for how low and fast and straight it was traveling. I did not hear anything as I was listening to a podcast- but was just startled by the streak and the blue flashing light. I questioned if it was an airplane, but realized there were no green and red lights, and it was much too fast and low and no jet sound.

Saw 3 objects reflecting the sun moving from East to West.

4 people saw 3 cylindrical/spherical object moving from East to North West. Objects went from being further apart, to close, to far apart again. A commercial aircraft flew by, and they appeared to be further out in comparison to the aircraft. They also seemed to be moving in a way that the sun was reflecting off of them often, showing a bright reflection like you would see from the sun reflecting off metal. They moved quickly. None of the four witnesses thought they could possibly be balloons based on movement and size.

2 solid 2 flashing orange lights drifting across sky and bright. Moved relatively quick.

We were in the car and we saw a bright orange light in the sky and thought it was an orange star. As we kept driving the light got closer, at first it seemed it was coming slow and nearly hovering but after it was more visible it passed us overhead a few miles up on our right and went behind us rather quickly. The object in question had a solid top and bottom orange light. The craft was 1/6th as tall as wide about and on the 2 sides it had 2 flashing orange lights. The lights seemed to be on the same craft and the craft seemed to be about a car to a house size but it was difficult to tell. We rolled down the windows in the car because we thought it was maybe a reflection of some kind of road light. But the object was still there made no noise, and made a relatively steady path and pace

I was enamored by a visual in the sky at 11:00pm, in an Easterly direction. It looked like a meteor casting a "dust trail" in the atmosphere in the shape of a star. This slowly moved North, from my right to left. To the right of that, was a "firework" style light show behind it, in a single spot not moving.
I presume this to be the Falcon 9 Heavy far away from me. I'm in Gainesville FL, and the Space X launch is at Kennedy Space Center, over 100 miles away. (I didn't know this at the time of viewing)

Anyway, 5 minutes after the sky clears up from that Space launch event, I drove a golf cart away. I glance in the general direction again (East) and now, much closer to my location, appears a pair of orange orb/spherical lights in the sky. Slightly south from my perspective of the Space event, these entities are moving slowly Southward. They formed a diagonal line going up and back. Not more than a moment after viewing, the front light disappears, followed by the second light, mere seconds later.

Silver Diamond object flashing or reflecting light from sun randomly

Watched the diamond object float or hover, tracking toward the East (toward Washington DC). Object was redirected back to the South East towards Manassas, VA. Object flashed or reflected the sun randomly (but very bright like a camera flash). I was able to see it through my polarized glasses, but could not capture the object on film using a Samsung Ultra do to the random pattern.

A flight at about 30-60,000 feet flew over approximately 10 minutes later on the exit path of the object. A military helicopter flew toward Dulles airport in the same area from the West (e.g., I-81 corridor) a few minutes after witnessing the plane. I could not validate the flight path of the plane or military helicopter.

Recorded three small, grey, metallic, spherically shaped objects flying together half a mile away from my apartment

I looked out of the window of my apartment upon which I saw three grey, metallic, spherically shaped objects flying outside. The objects were approximately half a mile away, flying at a few hundred feet above the ground. They appeared to have be relatively small (perhaps 10 feet in diameter), flew in conjunction with one other, and did not appear to be flying sole with the wind. They moved at relatively low speeds and did not appear to possess any visible forms of propulsion. I have a video of the encounter on my phone, spanning a minute and six seconds long. I currently a student at the University of Florida. I was the only person in my apartment to witness this incident.

Object coasted overhead in complete silence and nearly invisible.

Clear night with perfect visibility and little to no wind. I was letting my dogs outside one last time for the night. As I was waiting I looked up, and from the corner of my eye I saw movement in the sky. I focused my attention to the object and noticed it was flying but I could not make out any details such as shape or size until it started to pass in front of stars. This object emitted no lights or sounds. The color perfectly matched the sky and so would have been invisible had it not been moving in front of stars. This is when I could see the silouhette of a boomerang or chevron shape. The object coasted steadily in a straight line until it left my field of view. I am an avid bird watcher, skygazer and am familiar with all aircraft types including drones. I am 32 years old and have never witnessed an aerial object I couldn't identity until this incident.

Multiple lights streaking in succession, in a repeated pattern

On my way to the car I stopped to observe the early morning sky which I do every morning before heading off to work. I was tracking a satellite across the sky that I identified on Night Sky app and could see with the naked eye. As the satellite tracked from straight above toward the horizon (east) I noticed motion further ahead of the satellites path. In a very small portion of the sky there were, what initially looked like shooting stars and they were streaking (some with trails and some were just lights) through this small portion of sky. If you held up a golf ball in front of you at arm’s length, that’s the area these lights were streaking through. They faded in, increasing in intensity, and faded out till gone and all within this small portion of sky. The strange thing was that there were patterns that repeated several times. First pattern, it was single lights streaking in the same exact path one after another in one single path, 3 to 5 in total. Not sure exactly how many but it was only a few and then the pattern changed. Second pattern, similar to the first but then there were multiple paths (3 paths) but still single lights streaking one at a time within these multiple paths. Third pattern, two lights at the same time streaking within two of the multiple paths, each time the two lights would streak within different paths. After the third pattern the entire sequence repeated with the first pattern. This sequence repeated multiple times and each time the overall light intensity decreased until the lights weren’t visible. I witnessed this over the course of a minute or more but it had already been going on prior to my attention.

ENORMOUS disc-shaped UFO with band of lights spotted 5/6/21 at 22:40 hovering over Lake Lanier (Gainesville, GA)

On Thursday, May 6, 2020, my friend and I were fishing on Lake Lanier near Brown’s Bridge at about 10:40pm on a cloudy evening. We began to see a series of lights passing over in the clouds across the water a good distance from where we were tied down.

I started filming so I could zoom in to see what they were. Suddenly the clouds parted a bit and we could see it was not a series of lighted separate objects, but rather a series of lights around a huge disk-shaped object that was hovering in place. It had one light on the top and a series of lights rotating around the outermost edge. The scale of the object was enormous, particularly given that it was above the furthest edge of the lake from us, all the way across the Chestatee Bay.

I got a text that disrupted my filming, and I looked down at my phone to start it again, but the clouds closed up again and it then disappeared.

After work i was driving home....as i turned NW on Millhopper Road (53rd street) i saw an object over the road....stationary....with large outstretched arms....HUGE.....multiple lights...white and red....some flashing....people were pulling over..putting their brakes on...i pulled over and grabbed my phone...the object began to move...slowly....away from me....i turned around my car....pretty heavy traffic....took awhile and tried to go that direction to see if i could find it again. We saw a very slowly-moving light with a long, fiery tail. It changed color and direction.

My girlfriend and I had just stepped out of my apartment to go out shopping. My apartment faces East and as soon as I stepped out, I noticed a point of light in the distance, with an illuminated tail behind it, moving very slowly. At first I thought it might be a flying lantern or a fire kite, but that did not explain the trail, which looked somewhat like a bolide except that it was taking so long to dissipate, and so long to move. It appeared to change color after the trail disappeared, going from orange for the first couple minutes, to whitish with no tail, to dimming until we lost sight. I could not get a picture because of the security light in my complex, which would easily bleach out the image.

I could very easily indicate the precise area of sky we were observing, since we were only a few feet from my front door. Neither of us was drinking or under any other influence.

I'm sure there is a simple explanation for what we saw, but we do not know what that could be.

As i was coming home in the NW area of Gainesville.....I saw a HUGE object...either rectangle or cylinder...it was quite some distance away...in the evening sky...west...next to a normal star/planet. I was motionless...twinkling and VERY bright.Almost looked like it was oscillating. The size in comparison to the star was HUGE! My husband and I watched it for about 15 min....went inside ....came back out about 10 min later...and t was gone! NOWHERE to be found. The star had remained in the same position..but this object was gone. There were also 6-8 white lights all over the sky.Lots of helicopters flying around outside now.

Glowing sphere speeding and blinking in Gainesville, Fl

A co-worker and myself where driving home from a out of town job. He pointed and showed me what look like a commit (sic. comet) up at a angle. It was a glowing orangish sphere with a red tint with a tail looked like a commit, but it looked like flame from a turbine/jet eingine. It took up the entire width of the sphere which seemed odd to me and was coming out to about doune the sphere. It was going upword ar a 45° angle. It then went straight and in the north direction. Then the tail disappeared and it was a glowing ball of orange and red. It than vanished and reappeared at a much farther away by about a 3rd of it's size than kept going north than would blink and reappeared in a South that north agian in what appeared to be a strait line. Than dissapeared completely. It was about to put the size of a nickel or quarter the first time than about the size of a dime the 2nd part. I am near sighted and did not have my glasses on, so the shape and size would be slightly off but not much.

I was a U.S. Marine for 9 years and at one point on the aviation side and from what I have seen and know it is impossible for a aircraft to move and stop thrusting and go in the opposite by direction is impossible at this point in time. I also got out in 2013 so I believe my frame of reference should still be pretty accurate.

I saw a white object hovering, with no earthly shape as it was jagged and had spike/triangle shapes attached to the craft.

So it starts when I go home from school. I walk to my car. Feel a bit off. Saw a normal-looking helicopter flying off to the North-East. On my drive, this is what I saw.

It was some type of aircraft. It was white, and was hovering around. No trail, no noise. Just kind of slightly descending for a bit. Then in another direction. The movements definitely seemed deliberate, and from the photos I've seen they look nothing like a weather balloon. Normally, I'd probably brush that off. But here's the issue. I cannot describe the shape in one word. It had at least 3-4 "wings" which were different sized spikes, long, and jagged. It looked incredibly bizarre. Nothing like anything I've seen before in my life, especially in the damn sky.

I saw it about 4 times within 5 minutes. Each time, it was going in a totally different direction. The last time I saw it, it was very translucent, and it was glowing a pinkish-reddish hue. It really wasn't that high up in the sky; it was high, but low enough that I was able to be pretty damn sure of what I was looking at.

After that, I had about 10 more minutes of driving. I saw that same helicopter that I saw earlier going NE, except this time it was going South to South West. Then a minute later I noticed a big black helicopter. It looked like one some type of police force or military would use. It went very fast, I lost sight of it within 10-15 seconds.

The final part was when I got home, I parked outside. Looked up in the sky again hoping I'd see the original object I saw. There were about 3-4 very tiny planes. Just white with wings, kind of like a drone considering how small they were. I don't know what to make of that.

I did take videos, but my damn camera made it very blurry; cell-phone cameras really are not able to produce clear images of objects 100-500 feet away. They just look mostly like blurry spherical things in the sky for the most part.

Can anyone explain what in the world that was? Has anyone seen anything similar? Where should I take this from now?

ON SUNDAY 12/31/2017 WHILE DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON I-985 JUST NORTH OF GAINESVILLE, GA AT APPROXIMATELY 19:05 HOURS, MY WIFE & I WITNESSED AN EXTREMELY BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT MOVING FROM WEST TO EAST IN A DIRECTION THAT WAS PERPENDICULAR TO OUR COURSE. THERE WAS NO BEAM OF LIGHT EMANATING FROM THE SOURCE, JUST THE BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT WHICH APPEARED TO BE TALLER THAN IT WAS WIDE; NOT A RECTANGLE, BUT ROUGHLY THAT PRIMARY SHAPE.

AS THE LIGHT MOVED VIRTUALLY OVERHEAD, IT BECAME OBSCURED (OR DISAPPEARED) & A TRIANGULAR FORMATION OF CIRCULAR LIGHTS, DARK GOLD IN COLOR, BECAME VISIBLE. THE LIGHTS WERE ONLY AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE TRIANGULAR SHAPE. NO NOISE OR SOUND WAS HEARD.

MY APPROXIMATION OF THE ELEVATION IS NO MORE THAN 1000 FEET.

MY ESTIMATION OF THE SIZE OF THE TRIANGULAR LIGHT FORMATION IS BETWEEN 75 & 100 FEET WIDE AT THE BACK END OF THE TRIANGLE; 200+ FEET ON THE SIDES TO A POINT IN FRONT.

MY ROUGH ESTIMATION OF THE SPEED THAT THE FORMATION WAS MOVING IS LESS THAN 50 MPH.

THE LIGHTS WERE NOT RIGHT UP AGAINST EACH OTHER, BUT HAD AN EVEN AMOUNT OF SPACE BETWEEN THEM.

6 reddish orange oval shaped lights hovering in the western sky seen for about 2-4 minutes

2 of us were walking and playing with our dogs, when we both suddenly noticed these lights in the western sky. They were reddish orange, and very bright. They were way above the tree line in an open area above the golf course.

We took pictures with our phones, after a few seconds of watching, and called out to neighbors to come see.

The lights suddenly went out as if they were just turned off. One of the lights seemed to have a slight spin to it. They appeared to be like a constellation of stars, except they were oval.

I am a 72 year old grandmother, college educated and active in my community. My neighbor is a 27 year old student who lives at home with his mother and young sister.

Two metal spheres following an airplane.

I was standing on a metal pillar (fifteen feet in height) behind my high school. I was just relaxing and looking over the field and then I heard a strange low pitch humming noise coming from the behind me (North), so I looked up. First I saw an airplane come over the tree line (one to two miles high). I was confused since planes don't usually make that sound. Ten seconds later there were two spheres following it, one was about fifty feet from the airplane and diagonal to the right side. The second one was also fifty feet from the airplane and diagonal to the left side. The spheres had a metal look to them but weren't shiny.

one object with bright white lights remained still for about thirty minuts

One brightly lite object was seen in the western sky. The lights were too bright to tell the shape.It stayed in one position for about thirty minutes, until it was too cold to remain outside and watch. White triangle headed northwest at incredible speed till out of eyesight.

I felt like i wanted to look at the sky, so I went outside to smoke. i saw what i thought was a very large white bird flying really high up thru some faint clouds.

I thought about what kinda bird it could be and why would it be so high while i watched it. It moved in a straight line at a steady pace.

As it cleared the clouds i saw that it was not a bird, but a white triangle with no noticable lights. it looked slightly blurry,solid white.

I was still convinced it was probably a large bird like maybe a giant crane and that i just couldnt see its wings move and that why it looked triangular.

I watched it travel westward until it did an amazing series of loops and zigzags at an incredible speed, then it took off northwest over the archer road area so fast that it virtually disappeared out of eye sight. it moved so fast it seemed like it left a tracer or trail of itself for a split second. I estimate that i watched it for about a minuite and a half before it zoomed off.

i would still believe that it was a really big white bird but there is no way any bird could move that fast or make such servere turns and loops.

Im not prone to making up stories. Im not addicted to drugs. Im not on medications that make me see things.Im pretty sceptical of these kinds of stories without some kind of picture or video.

I do follow ufo sightings regularly but i dont recall a white triangle being a thing people see often. I appreciate any feedback into this that anyone sees fit.

I saw what appeared to be an exploding satellite @ ~9:10 PM March 24, 2016

At about 9:10PM March 24, 2016, I saw a momentary explosion high in the atmosphere that lasted less than a second. There was no sound. It looked like a firework explosion at its largest size about 1/3 the size of my pinky finger nail held at arm's length. (~1/3 cm) My impression is that of an exploding satellite. The “shrapnel” was red in color and was either glowing from an explosion, or reflecting red from the sun, that had set earlier. It did not streak through the sky; rather, it just exploded.

Four silent, orange lights moving from SW to NE from horizon to horizon in about a minute.

I was walking the dog last night on the golf course and around 8:40pm noticed an orange light in the sky moving SW to NE. Because I was on the golf course, I had a good unobstructed view from horizon to horizon. I tried, but couldn't hear any sound from it. It had no green and red aircraft lights and no flashing lights, only an orange slightly pulsating light. It seemed very high in the sky and seemed to vanish into the horizon. It took about a minute for it to travel from one horizon to the other. I saw three other such lights, ending at about 9:10pm, about equally spaced in time. My best guess is that they were some sort of rocket (?), but it seemed to move too slowly. And it seemed too fast to be an air-breather. Someone suggested it might be a high altitude weather balloon.

A very bright light in the sky that slows itself before speeding back up.

I was out with a few friends in two different cars. We were going to another mutual friends house for a good time. our two cars pulled into our local safeway grocery store to grab some drinks. I myself walked in as did my friend who was driving me, as we were walking back to the car we realized our other friends in their car had already gone to the house. As we were pulling out of the parking lot i was looking toward the sky as i do often and i see a very bright light moving very fast then slowed and sped back up. It stayed in a straight path type direction meaning it did not change direction, for a split second i thought it was a shooting star but how it slowed and sped up again baffled me. I wasn't sure what i had just seen but i knew it was not normal. We arrive at our friends house who lives just a mile or so from the store as soon as we walk in his door our other friends were excited and asked is we saw that U.F.O.? We discussed what it could of been we mentioned a satellite, or a missile. None of them seemed logical tho it was very, very bright and how it slowed itself momentarily before zooming off again. I posted on Facebook about it and to my surprise nobody else seems to see it, i was also surprised to not see a post on here. I however thought it was worth reporting, it was very exciting to witness!

An Hovered Object In The Sky.

This event happened on 10-12-2015.

This happened about a month after I seen the Triangle sighting.

Between 7:30 pm & 8 Pm.

I seen an large object in the west on the outside a little ways from our town.

It seemed to Hover for like seemed 5 minutes or less.

I seen planes go over around the same time.

As soon as I started walking this Object started flying over this direction.

It looked like it had lots of lights. Kind of lit up the sky.

Looked like from what I seen it looked to be all White Lights. No flashing.

As it was flying above me. I noticed it had no sound. And it looked like it could of been another Triangle shape Object.

It was flying over our building and another house behind us and above the trees.

I went back in the apartment. And came back out and My boyfriend said. Something else had gone over.

And he didn't know what it was. I took a picture of it. All I got was the lights. But will send it anyways.

And it was flying the same direction as the other thing I had seen in the sky.

An orange glowing fireball passed overhead just after dark

Traveling from a southerly direction to a northerly direction, a bright orange fiery object passed overhead at a high rate of speed, disappearing in less than a minute. Where I live we have the bright orange street lamps illuminating our streets and parking areas, this was pretty much the same color and intensity except it glowed as an open flame not a light.

While watching television, out of the corner of my eye this moving light caught my attention outside my french doors leading to my porch. To get a better look, I went outside and observed the object traversing about 45 degrees above the horizon in an easterly direction from where I was standing. The object was flickering as though on fire, the way a flame appears to the eye.

While living in Florida I've seen many rocket and shuttle launches from the Cape, the glow emitted looked very similar, but there was not any smoke or exhaust trailing the 'fireball' that I observed as it flew by, also I was unable to hear any sound as a jet, helicopter, or prop aircraft would make.

Uniform flash of light seen inside, no source discovered.

My wife and I were in our condo tending to our son. Both of were in separate locations inside of the dwelling. I was watching college football, while she was in one of the bedrooms folding clothes. The event was a flash, similar to what is seen when a light bulb burns out, except it was uniform. Both of us saw a flash which didn't seem to come from anywhere inside the house, and didn't seem to come from a uniform area of outside. It looked to me like it came from the south side, while to her it looked like it came from the north side of the house. Went outside to identify anything that could have made the uniform flash, and could find nothing. We have trees in our rear lot, and a brick wall in the front, but the flash seemed to be uniform, unobstructed by these objects.

A ball of light, almost hovering at times, in the sky

At approximately 0430 hours, I witnessed a bright ball ago light that moved in elevation and did radial maneuvers beyond any known U.S. technology.

It lasted for about an hour but did not disappear, but simply left my viewing range. Perhaps others would have seen it longer.

I am not one to take someone's word for anything.

I was in the U.S. Army. My m.o.s. was 14 echo (patriot missile launching) so I am familiar with aerial identification.

I can safely say this was not of man. The size was hard to judge however because of the nature of the craft. I would estimate it at about ten meters in diameter.

We witnessed a triangular shaped object with a light at each corner, stop and fly silently during a blackout.

At 23:05 our lights flickered, grew brighter and went out for about 2-3 minutes then came back on the mid-east side of town. I went outside, saw nothing unusual but after about 5 min., heard sirens for several minutes. I stood on the porch with my grandaughter for a few minutes more then returned to my bedroom.

At 23:40 our electricity turned off again with no flickering or warning. We went outside again and neighbors from two other houses were also outside. I called the local police department to ask about the electricity situation and they explained that there had been a large accident on Taylor Street that had taken out several telephone poles and electric lines and that Oncor was working to fix it. I wondered why we had not heard anything with Taylor Street being four blocks away but did not think much else about it.

The neighbors and I were in the middle of the street talking and I told them that it would be back on once Oncor fixed the poles.

The neighbors from one house went back inside. The neighbors from the corner and I stayed outside talking. I told them I could see better outside than in my house because the moon is so bright tonight. She looked up and said, "Oh my God!! It stopped in the air".

I looked behind me, to the North and saw what at first I thought might be a plane, but very low and it was just stopped in mid air. It started to move slowly and made no noise. It appeared to be either triangular shaped or at least the lights were.

There were 3 lights in a triangular pattern. One was white, one was red and the other flashed from blue to green. It flew over us and to the South going very slow and never made a sound.

After it passed over all the electricity came back on. We all just stared. Her husband said "I think it is a plane". She said, it made no noise and was a triangle and just stopped in the air!, planes don't do that". I said I saw it stopped also. And we just all went in the house.

Objects in the sky I can't explain.

On 8-20-2014. I was out walking my cat. I seen this White light (Object), not flashing, it was going slow. And it almost looked like it stopped. Then two more flashing objects shows up and all 3 form a triangle. It was a nice clear night. Not a cloud in the sky. Then they disappeared. They also had no sound.

The second day. I seen another white light Object (light wasn't flashing) moving very slowly a little ways. Then it disappeared. This night was also a nice clear night out, no clouds, bright shiny stars. I know it wasn't a star, cause it was bigger.

I know what Planes, Helicopters sound and look like. I have seen other things in the sky here I can't explain.

This one was in 2012, when I moved back to my hometown here in Gainesville. Me and my bf was going outside. We see this round object across the road. There is woods across from us. At first I thought maybe a star. But it was going straight across and slowly and it closed up like an alligator Eye would do.

Also another night 2014, can't remember the month. But I was outside. I see this rectangle shaped object and it was a bright red color. It wasn't flashing or changing colors. I seen it go a little ways. The trees was in my way.

The object hung suspended in the sky, a huge rectangle, at a diagonal angle. Dark grey in color with dull green lights at the points.

I go out running almost every night. On this particular night, I was so hungry, I had a pretty decent sized sandwich a short while before going out. This wasn't the best decision I've ever made, but it lead to the sighting of this massive UFO.

During one portion of my run, my stomach cramps became too much. I stopped at a bus stop bench to take some deep breaths. After a few moments of sitting there, the street light beside the bench unexpectedly went out. Jokingly, I saw this as a sign that I should continue walking. I was near the University of Florida campus, walking right in front of the Law School Library, which is usually open 24 hours and always lit. This building too was completely dark. Finding this strange, I continued walking.

As I walked forward along the sidewalk, a fairly small plane flew over head, but very close. Closer than any plane I'd seen flying before.

Again, I found this strange and as I continued walking I realized that I had seen numerous planes in the sky that night and had thought it weird. Up until this point, I wasn't thinking anything supernatural, just that strange occurrences continued to happen.

To my left after the Law Library, is where the University has it's tennis courts. All of the lights for the tennis court were on. As I passed by they turned off at the same time, and at this point I started getting a little freaked out. I began jogging again despite the pain in my stomach.

As I continued forward along the road, there was a gap in the trees as I noticed something out of the corner of my eyes that I found strange. It could have been the wings of a plane, but they were diagonal in the sky, something you never see with planes, and it was much too large.

Intrigued, I stopped and looked at it straight on. It was a massive rectangle structure that looked as if it were completely thin. It was a dark gray color that made it hard to see it against the dark blue back drop of the sky. Around it's edges it was a darker black. On the points of the object, there were dull glowing green lights (which had added to my initial thought that it could have been airplane wings).

This thing was pretty low - lower than any aircraft (but not as low as the previous airplane I'd seen that night), and it was diagonal against the sky. When I stopped to pay attention to it, it seemed as though it were moving toward me but when I made eye contact with the thing, it just stopped and hovered. Silently. I heard all the regular noises around me, but nothing came from this massive object.

As I watched it, it moved in such a strange motion, it's hard to describe with words. It didn't seem to have any dimension, but it moved as if it did. It kind of turned in on itself and turned toward another area of the sky and quite easily began to make it's way forward. In relation to the University of Florida campus, it was near the stadium.

It flew in the sky with the ease you would see a river flowing. It was so natural. There were some tree coverage so as it moved toward where I wouldn't be able to see it, I sprinted. I ran to another portion of the sidewalk with a clear view of the sky. But when I was finally able to see, the thing was gone.

It had flown with a speed that I have never seen. With no noise. And it was an object that made no sense to be up in the sky like that. It could only have been an alien space craft or government weapon. Who knows.

Three lights in the sky that didn't look like plane

On 09/09/2013 I was walking my dog. As usual, I looked up at the sky to look for constellations. I was out particularly longer today because I was so transfixed on Venus which was on the west horizon. As any star watcher knows, the longer you look up at the sky, the more stars you can focus on.

So, I was able to make out many constellations. Eventually, I turned my attention to the eastern side of the sky as it moved north to south. I spotted a satellite a little before 9 pm and tracked it as it moved across the sky. I eventually lost it behind a building. Hoping to see it again, I moved to a clearer area, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find it again. I scanned the sky again and saw, at approximately 9pm, heading in a southern direction, a very bright light. It was just as bright as Venus to the west.

However, I knew that there was no star that bright on the eastern part of the sky, so I gazed at it a little longer. Because of a tree right under it, I was able! to notice that this ‘star’ was moving. I was a little stunned, but then I told myself that it was probably a plane. So I watched it as it moved towards the south. Eventually, the brightness faded and I saw that this bright light was made up of three smaller lights. The more it moved to the south, the less bright it became and the more I could make out all three lights. There were two in the front and then one a little, but not by much, dimmer light. They formed a triangle, with the base being the front and the apex forming the tail. I thought that maybe it was a plane, but I stared and stared and tried to make out any beacons, or blinking, lights, but never saw any. If I know anything from watching the sky is that planes always have blinking lights. So I followed this light, which seemed to be travelling in a linear path, but eventually I lost it behind the same building.

Ball of bright orange fire moving low across night sky

At 9:23 pm EST, June 7, 2013, my husband and I were sitting on our patio in Gainesville, FL, looking at the stars. It was a fairly clear night. Suddenly we both saw a bright orange object move low across the sky, from SW to NE. It was flying lower than a plane or helicopter. It seemed like an active flame (as in a fireplace) contained in some sort of transparent round, or cylindrical container. The fire was extremely bright orange in color.

My first thought was that it was some sort of roman candle, but there was no sound at all, and the object kept moving across, not down. There was no tail. We guess it was moving 35-40 miles per hour, and seemed to be about 200-300 feet above us. The size, to our eyes seemed to be about about 1 foot x 2.5 feet in size, at the distance from which we saw it. It was low enough that I worried it would set fire to one of the tall pines. After about 7-10 seconds, it went behind trees so we couldn’t see it any more.

Neither my husband nor I have ever seen anything like this. I might describe it as a sort of flaming orange Japanese lantern, except the orange flame was intensely bright, and like fire, not an electric light.

Illuminating Orange-Red glow, beautiful that flew so low.

Hi, my name is ((name deleted)) I’m from Gainesville, Florida.

On 3/29/2013 approximately between 8:45pm and 9:00pm I and five others witness UFO’s in the beautiful night sky which allowed a clear view of what we were watching. As me my girlfriend Holly and friend Rich finished assembling of our unborn child’s crib.

All three of us went outside to say goodbye to Rich, as Rich stepped down the stairs and off the stairway leading to the apartment he noticed something in the sky that was unfamiliar. So he called me off the porch down the steps to see as well.

As my friend Rich fumbled with his phone to video this amazing event, I step off the porch solid onto the pavement soon after Rich, I immediately looked straight up into the sky and the first thing that I saw was about four glowing, almost egg oval, orange red objects in the sky above all four Illuminating, three in a row and one on the side accelerating quicker than the others moving towards the front of th! e others and eventually 5 or 6 seconds later to lead what it appeared to some sort of straight line formation. They also made no noise at all like it was a defining moment in life were everything goes silent until that special event is over. A second after witnessing that I my girlfriend and Rich are all now on the pavement observing this breathtaking and phenomenal event witnessing at least 6 more UFO’S behind the first group in a less organized way than the first four. After two minutes into observation of this event, my girlfriend called her mother, sister and brother in-law witness this event as well. As we all observed the UFO’s in the night sky for about 2 ½ to three minutes Rich finally got the video up and started recording the night sky while the UFO’s passed through at a very slow pace almost as the speed of a blimp illuminating an orange-red fire color as they go. These UFO’s had a very low altitude <as if I can reach out and touch one> they were moving g! eometrically perfect traveling SE. As these UFO’s slowly moved! about w e all talked and enjoyed the beauty of or neighbors getting out for an ole stroll in the park –it was beautiful and enlightening. When the UFO’s started disappearing out of sight their altitude went higher from a straight line and then a swooping upwards motion off the straight line altitude up and out of sight like they went through some kind of door or something because they vanished into thin air. This whole event was about 5 to 6 minutes from initial sight of the UFO’s, taking place in SE Gainesville approximately between 8:45pm and 9:05pm on 3/29/2013.

I hope that someone can explain this event, because this event was way out of the ordinary.

I thought it was a meteor! The world was supposed to end at that time so I was just watching the sky sand I seen it. It just looked like a ball of fire moving slowly north like its was going to crash.

MASSIVE SIZE Red circular light in sky resembling a planet in the west sky of texas

It was a red ball that was about 10 times the size of the moon just sitting in the sky with a haze type aura around it, we were driving down highway 82 and watched it just sit there for a couple minutes, then out of nowhere it turned of, like a light-bulb, gone in the blink of an eye. It honestly looked like a red planet. HUGE RED PLANET.

Two city patrol cars we passed pulled to the side of the road during this event. Many people witnessed this, including anyone driving w bound on US 82 Gainesville, Texas.

I told my husband after i caught my breath, please tell me that is the moon. We were speechless. How could this major rust red circular shape be here then gone. It was almost as though it was a fast sunset but this is at nearly 1 am so.............

Series of amber orbs transiting NE to SW, singly, in pairs, and in threes, about 15 total.

On 15 June 2012, in Gainesville, FL, USA, (29.7N, 82.7W), beginning at approximately 22:50 and continuing until 23:00 EDT, my wife and I observed approximately 15 separate amber to orange-amber-colored glowing objects (orbs) that traversed the sky from northeast to southwest. There was no moon, a thin, high cloud cover we’d had at sunset had by then completely dissipated, leaving a cloudless sky. Winds were calm with the occasional light gust from the N (according to weather station MC9837, closest to our home: http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=MC9837&month=6&day=15&year=2012) My wife and I are amateur stargazers and I had just finished drift-aligning our 203mm diameter Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope in preparation for some DSLR astrophotography. My wife was visually observing Messier 13, the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, and I was readying my Vixen flip mirror camera mount. I happened to look up and saw two orange-ish/amber lights passing almost directly overhead, just south of the zenith and very near the star Arcturus, in a southwesterly direction and seemingly in a line approximating NE to SW. I did not notice them until after they were to the west of the meridian.

Our view of the sky is limited by trees surrounding our property, and we only have a clear view 60 degrees above the horizon to W, 15 degrees above the horizon to N, 30 degrees above the horizon to E (but with a large tree partially obstructing as high as 50 degrees to the NE), and about 20 degrees above the horizon to S. Thus, my view of those first two objects ended very soon after I saw them as they disappeared behind the tall trees to the SW.

I got my wife’s attention with an exclamation along the lines of “what the hell was that?”, and when she looked up from the telescope, since it was pointing ENE at Hercules, she noticed an amber object through the trees just rising above our neighbor’s roof line (about 15 degrees above the horizon from that orientation) almost exactly NE. We soon saw a second such object, same color, and slightly to the north of the first. Our view of these objects was intermittent as they passed behind tree limbs, but the entire time we observed them we could see them climbing higher in the sky, passing just north of the star Vega, as they appeared to approach. As they cleared the tree we could see them clearly, although they simply appeared to be featureless orbs of light, larger than a point source (therefore unlike a star), but smaller by far than the disc of the moon.

As these objects passed the meridian on a general SW heading, one of them seemed to fade, then briefly brighten, then fade out completely before the other one, whose apparent brightness hadn’t varied, disappeared from view behind the trees to the SW. The entire transit, from the moment we first observed them until they were lost to view due to the trees to our west, took about 30 to 45 seconds.

Almost as soon as the pair of objects passed overhead we saw 2 more such amber lights moving through the trees, originating at almost the identical spot where we saw the first pair, and also travelling SW at about the same rate. They were soon joined by a third amber light a bit to their north. All three of these objects tracked somewhat further north than the first set of objects, but still travelling from NE to SW and at the same apparent speed as the earlier objects (transiting in about the same amount of time).

We continued seeing objects such as these appear above the roofline to our NE, watched them arc overhead, sometimes in pairs, sometimes singly, sometimes in threes, for the next 10 or so minutes. In all, I would say we saw at least 15 distinct objects, all of them tracking from NE to SW, some further N, but most nearly overhead. A few of the objects we initially detected above the roof line (at least 3) disappeared completely before clearing the tree and emerging in clear sky. Another one, in an initial group of three, faded out and then re-appeared as its companions crossed the meridian to the W.

The apparent rate at which all of the objects arced across the sky did not seem to vary. They all took about the same amount of time to cross our field of view. It is impossible to estimate the altitude of these objects without having any referent to their actual size. None of them showed any type of blinking navigation or anti-collision lights as do aircraft. We could not detect any sound from their passing; no noise of engine, no whoosh of air, nothing. I was able to capture some short video of a couple of these objects, but the capture was made using a handheld cell phone, and so is of poor quality.

I’ll close by saying that my wife and I both hold advanced degrees. She is a Professor and I am a research scientist, with over 40 peer reviewed publications as either first or contributing author. We are sober, intelligent and well-educated individuals who stand to lose respect and credibility by making claims of UFO sightings. Yet, that is exactly what we saw. These objects flew across the sky, and they are completely unidentified. We can’t speak to their origin, but neither one of us has ever seen anything like them.

Bright light in western sky. Not a planet. Could not be identified by smartphone app.

March 18th 10 to 11 pm Eastern time I saw a bright orange light low in the western sky. It wasn't Venus or Jupiter because it was the wrong color and they had already set. It wasn't Mars because I could see Mars overhead at that time. I thought perhaps it was an airplane headlight, but I never saw any blinking lights on it and it's only movement was a slow downward descent like it was any other star or planet that was setting. It got slowly dimmer the lower in the sky it got. A smartphone with an app that identifies constellations and such could not identify it. According to the smartphone app it was just northeast of the constellation Aries.

Didnt belive too much till I started seeing this!!

Well it was in oval shape with, little nubs for wings!! We have seenit for days now, and It comes while we arent here and flys, when we pull up and it sees us, It turns the bright lights off and leaves!! The lights actually beam down and there bright!! The first night we ever seen it 3 days ago we actually drove under the lights beaming down!! When that happened, the lights went off and went away!! It really dosent make a sound while its kinda like hoffering, with slow movment, then it takes off with jet like sound!! It looked like it was deceiving down into the woods as it went away!! The light beams you can see there are three beams!! We live in the woods and its dark and secluded!! Its really crazy thow how we only see it when we are pulling up to our house and when it sees we seen it it shuts lights off and takes off!!

At approxmetly 23:45 on New Years Eve I was out side looking at the sky, becouse it was a beautiful clear eavning,when i saw at tree top level a bright orange light. I thought it was a plane comming at a weird angle , I live about 5 miles from airport, and i noticed that the light was to bright for a plane.It was higher than the trees but at that time it looked about tree top level.I say about a thousand feet it turned out to be. No sound. As it passed over the tree I noticed another orange light then another until i could see about 10. They all were in a 2 by 2 one on top of each other seperated by maybe 200ft in formation. I ran to get the others inside home and all saw. At that time more just kept on coming by until they were 15. They seperated and changened formation . They all ended up in a line. Must have been going 5 miles an hour. They were moving slow. They never spead up. They just kept moving forward until we could not see them becouse of trees.! I took about 7 pictures and was able to zoom up on some. If you want to see them get my email. They look disc shape when zoomed up surounded by lights. 3 adults age 40,46,49, seven teenagers sophmores and juniors in high school witnessed. 40 year old(x-ray tech) 46 year old(jeweler) 49 year old (thearapist).

Yellowish/orange sphere, extremely fast flew from horizon to horizon in seconds

I was walking my dog alone at night, facing west. For some reason I felt compelled to look up at a star behind me, to the southeast. As I was doing so, I saw the UFO come from the eastern horizon and zoom past to the southwestern horizon. It was too low to be a plane, but too high to have been anything else. It was incredibly fast. It crossed from horizon to horizon in the fraction of seconds. It was a very bright color, orange and yellow, and it did have a tail, like a comet would have, but could not have been a comet. There are no reports of comet sightings in my area. I suppose scientists might call it a fireball, but it did not appear to be on fire. As it passed it didn't make a single sound, very eerie.

Darker Bright Blue Light Went Faster Than a Jet Fighter In Gainesville, FL

Today I was running with my friend along NW 34th Street during the evening. While we were talking and his head was turned toward me I saw what appeared to be a darker bright, well lit, and solid light.

The color was a mix between turquoise and navy blue. I couldn't tell very well since it went buy so fast, but I saw a dark grayish hue around the light, maybe it was a disk, but I'm not sure.

The object was maybe give or take 2000ft above and went buy faster than a jet fighter. It made absolutely no noise whatsoever.

I saw this light go by in two seconds, then it went over the treeline. And when I ran past the treeline, it was nowhere to be seen.

Disk or saucer shaped craft with amazing bright lights on it which lit up the sky and the side of my home in Georgia.

Background of Observer: Legal Services/Sales This past Sunday evening, October 16, 2011, it was somewhere around 11:40 p.m. I was sitting on my back deck. I had gone inside for a minute, and when I came back out I saw this amazing bright light in the sky to the north, maybe a little northwest of my home. It was your typical looking UFO from what I see in pictures, not triangular like some describe, but more like disk or saucer shaped. Inside of it were what appeared to be 8 to maybe 10 round super bright lights shining. It hovered in the sky for a little bit, with an amazing haze of light around it and these round bright lights shining, all white, I did not see any color. There was no sound.

It then appeared to be coming closer toward me, would hover there for a few minutes and then retreat back to where it originally was. It did this several times. I called a friend and was describing it to them. This went on for about 25-30 minutes. And it just disappeared, retreated the last time and was gone! I have no idea what cows and aliens have to do with one another, other than the things I have read about them doing surgical procedures on cows and other such gross things I have read and seen on the internet. But I do have a pasture with cows and horses just at the back of my property line, to the west of my home.

I have 3 dogs that I made go inside while I sat out and watched it. I took a picture with my 3G iPhone, which has no flash. That's really about all I can describe about what transpired. I have lived in my house for over 6 years and have never seen there, nor anywhere else in my life, such a thing as amazing as this.

odd asteroid streak

Looking in SE sky, I observed what appeared to be small asteroid race across sky very bright streak.

Oddly, it appeared to hit something, stop, and sparklike streaks reflected backward.

This all happened in probably a 1/2 second.

I've observed 10 or so light streaks through the years which I assume are pea size asteroids burning up, but never did I see a sudden stop and sparklike streaks reflect backward.

No sound was heard.

There was a plane near this streak but did not seem to have any relation.

Went out to the porch of my 3rd floor condo to smoke a cigarette and the first thing that I saw far away in the distance (hard to judge how far since it was night-time) was the greatest falling object I have ever seen in my life. The strange thing is that the object was rectangular.

Coming down from a NW toward the NE direction at a very shallow angle +/-140degs.

The rectangular shape was not thinnest in the direction of travel, but perpendicular to it.

The object was engulfed in white flames while yellow flames just streaked off from behind. You could tell that small fragments were braking off from it.

I immediately waited for a big bang, but it never happened. I take this to mean that the object was very far away even though it seemed close because of its large size.

Probably fell in the Atlantic close to Jacksonville???

I logged-in a 911 call in Alachua County, Fl. If it was a meteor, it was very strange, slow and large????

Faint, slow moving light that dissappeared on or about 01/28/11 in the skies over Gaineville, GA

At approximately 10:30 PM on or about January 28, 2011, I observed what appeared to be a faint star in the Northeastern sky, at 50 degrees inclination. This point of light moved southerly in a straight line for approximately 5-10 degrees for a duration of 10 seconds. Its light magnitude neither increased nor decreased as it traversed and I would estimate its magnitude to be about 3. There were no aircraft strobes present on the object and it was much fainter than any aircraft I have observed before.

I am an independent contractor with an interest in astronomy and I can’t offer an explanation for what I saw. It moved much too slowly to be a meteor and simply disappeared on a moonless cloudless night.

16 orange "fireballs" of light seen on Christmas Eve, 2010.

My husband and I were watching TV in our living room, that is in the east part of the house, when he saw some very strange orange lights coming into view through the window. He ran outside, yelled at me to come out on the deck, and I ran to join him, along with our seven year old daughter.

Up in the eastern sky were small, orange spheres of light, silently and slowly flying to the west. Each one (we counted 16 in all) was perfectly and evenly spaced from the others, glowing a bright orange, and each one banked to the north at the exact same point in the sky. The night was completely still, cold, no wind, and as far as we know, there were no other witnesses, even though we live in a highly populated suburb.

My husband, an aerospace engineer/physicist, ran inside to grab a pair of binoculars to get a better look at them. At first he thought they were Chinese lanterns, but upon closer examination with the field glasses, he could ascertain no form, no type of material whatsoever, in their makeup. They appeared to be made of light. Also, they did not vary in altitude or waiver in any direction, as might be the case if there had been a current of wind that could affect them.

They were completely silent, and really beautiful to watch. I am not a good judge of altitude, unfortunately, but I would estimate that they were about a thousand feet up, and at that height, appeared to about the size of a basketball in the sky. They came in groups of two, then four, but all precisely spaced apart. We saw 16 in all, but I suspect that we had missed the first groupings.

Our seven year old was entranced by them, and yelled her opinion of the event with great awe: "Santa Claus!!"

Multiple sightings by multiple whitnesses, unknown objects moving in strange ways, speeds, directions.

Location = 29.36n 82.22w , Objects were seen in the southern sky between 180 & 210 deg.

Originally sighted one of the objects following and overtaking a commercial aircraft then coming to a sudden stop, then descending several thousand feet in altitude before losing sight of it. Then sighted two objects spiraling double helix style as they descended several thousand feet, then departing in separate directions. Over the next few hours we saw several dozen objects, but couldn't be sure they were separate objects or the same ones. All moved in different directions, altitudes, and speeds. Having spent many years in the military, I estimated the distance to be from 8 to 15 miles distant, none had ACL beacons or navigation lights. Objects were weakly lighted until moving at high speeds, estimated to be several thousand mile per hour.

2nd night watching the objects, approximate time viewed 15-20 minutes

Sitghting location = 29.36 n 82.22 w 180 to 210 deg compass heading from GPS local.

Estimated distance to objects 2 miles. Objects moving in all directions, mostly up and down, elevation 30 deg. Objects were low intensity glowing orbs, with no apparent pattern to the movements. Lighting looked like corona discharge with no anti collision lights, or beacons. Distance seemed much closer with no atmospheric haze visible.

We will endeavor to get a closer look if they return tomorrow night. We plan to try photographing and possible video footage if possible.

Saw an object in ithe Western sky flashing red and green lights with a bright white light as well which moved in irratic directions

Was at a private dark location in Gainesville, VA looking to the West when we identified a strange object in the night sky. The object was bright and was flashing red and green lights along with an almost L.E.D. white light. These lights were clearly visible to all three of us using just our eyes and later confirmed with binoculars and telescope. The object almost appeared to be rotating at high speeds which could explain to alternation of lights which had no apparent pattern. This object was relatively fixed in the same portion of the night sky compared to other celestial objects. The object would move in irrative movements, suddenly going to the left and right really fast and then in circular movements. Then, it stopped moving and the green and red lights settled down. I flashed a bright HID light at it in sequences of 3. It was like the object was reacting to my flashes by beginning to move again and flashing back once again. I couldn't believe what I was! seeing and neither could my astronomy buddies, we were all stunned.

Large Red Glowing Orb Seen Landing In Virginia

This Sighting started around 2:00am when I was first awoke by a sound in the distance similar to a washing machine(wish wish, wash wash, wish wish, wash wash). I took a quick look out the window but didn't notice anything and soon returned to the comforts of my bed. Approximately 45 minutes to an hour later my dog jumped off the bed and ran to the front window. He started whining and running back and forth looking out all the windows from the first floor of the house. Since it obviously seemed something was bothering him outside, I got up again and looked out the back window. But this time I was startled to see a very strange large glowing Red Orb in the NorthWestern night sky gliding towards the East and seemingly descending into the woods behind my house.

I will try to describe the scene and this object as best I can, so you can hopefully picture and possibly help me in figuring out what this object might have been.

Looking North from my first floor rear window and Approximate 300 yards away there is a large tract of woods intertwined with a large creek and a field about 40 acres in size-including the woods it's about 200 acres of undeveloped land.

I first saw the object in the NorthWest sky(500-800 feet high)on a slow Easterly downward trajectory. The object had what I can only describe as a Reddish glowing Orb(half the brightness and size of the full moon)on top of a structure that you could clearly see was being illuminated underneath it. The structure looked to be cylindrical or rectangle in shape and was vertically suspended under this glowing orb. The size I would estimate was 20 feet long(up and down)and 8 feet wide(left to right).

At this point the object was about 400-600 feet in the air and descending into the woods. Because of this I knew I wouldn't have much time to watch the object since it was descending in altitude. At this point I knew I had to make a decision and if I should try to grab my video camera. I knew it was a risk but I made the decision to grab the camera to document the sighting. I ran from the back window grabbed the camera and yelled for my wife to wake up and look out the back window(hopefully so she too could witness the event). I quickly grabbed the camera and returned to the window but was just briefly able to see it again as it descended deep into the woods. My wife made it to the window but unfortunately just seconds late.

Please note-being around aviation for the most part off my life I can definitively say this object was definitely not a airplane or a helicopter of any kind. The only possibility that I have to consider and can't be 100% certain about is that this was some kind of unknown military drone-I don't feel this would be a very good possibility though. The light I've tried to describe on top wasn't your conventional light and certainly not a beacon light of any kind-It was more of a bright soft red glow, quite strange actually.

I spoke with Mr. Davenport at NUFORC and will closely follow his instructions on documenting this sighting. He suggested I contact The FAA, News Broadcasting Centers, Law Enforcement and anyone else who will listen. His instruction also entailed trying to locate the site where this object possibly landed. I will of course follow all of these additional details and therefore will keep you updated when any new details arise.

Virginia UFO Flashes Back to Spectators

I'm not sure what has been going on in the Gainesville Virginia area or if you've received other sightings in the vicinity but I can tell you first hand that something is going on here.

Being an Astronomer I often keep my eyes on the night time sky(with or without a telescope). Over the last couple weeks I've continued to notice multiple balls of lights rising in the Eastern horizon,the lights seem to be rising out of the Bull Run Battlefield in the Direction of Washington DC. These multiple lights will slowly rise than after a few minutes they would have risen so high you could know longer see them. I figured they were airplanes and since I couldn't get a closer look I wasn't convinced these lights were anything unusual and certainly not paranormal. That all changed last night when I was finally able to get a closer look at these amazing lights.

My wife and I decided to take a walk since the temperature had cooled from the heat earlier in the day. Just as we got to the top of our neighborhood(an area that is very dark and gives you a excellent 360 degree view of the night time sky)we noticed a very bright amber light rising from the NE Horizon. The light raised straight up, I would estimate approximately 5,000 feet. When the light raised to the estimated 5,000 feet it stopped and remained stationary for several minutes. The light then started drifting slowly towards the SW. Since it was dark we brought along with us a small flashlight. Coincidentally the flashlight had a small red laser light attached. As the light drifted and was now due East from us I got the laser light and flashed it a couple times towards this anomaly. This is still difficult to fully understand but as soon as I finished flashing the laser light the light in the sky stopped. It completely stopped and was just silently hovering due East from our position. I said to my wife "you don't think the light stopped because I flashed the laser do you". As we stood their stunned and watching the light I decided to flash the laser a couple more times. Any skepticism that I had prior to this sighting all ended when this light unbelievably flashed back at us in four bright intervals-Flash-Flash---Flash-Flash. Unable to believe my eyes I flashed my light again at the light. At this point the brightness of the light which was still stationary started to dim to where we could barely see it. The light then started to move directly up and continued on this path until it was know longer visible.

This was an unbelievable experience and one that will be with me for the rest of my life.

A light above my house took some of my roof and a file on my computer with UFO pictures.

On the night of june 1st, I was driving home late from work. I got at my house at around 1:30 AM when i saw some sort of small light above my house,and it was shooting a yellowish lazor to my house. It turned slightly, closed the lazor, and flew away. No one in the house was harmed. The next morning, i went onto my roof to see if anything happened,and a small chunk of my roof was gone. After i fixed it, i went onto my computer to see if this happened to anyone els, but it froze everytime the windows opened. Everything els was fine, and my neighbors who also had windows had no problum, so i called my comouter frend to fix it. When it was fixed, all the files i had were still there, exept for one with a bunch of UFO pictures.

One fiery ball that grew into a crescent shape, then an apparent battle between 2 jets and a small craft.

On the night in question, I was hiking on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail, a greenway that runs south of Gainesville east towards Hawthorne. I don't remember the exact date or time unfortunately at this point, but I do remember the sighting occured at the tail end of dusk, when stars were beginning to pop into the sky. As I was climbing a hill on the trail, I looked up to see some of the stars and planets coming out. This was almost directly east, as the trail in that section runs that way. As I glanced at some directly in front of me and straight down the trail, I noticed what appeared to be an explosion in the sky, in my peripheral vision, about 10-20 degrees to my right. The moon was in the sky, I think about 3/4 full, and it was a further ten or so degrees to the right. The object I saw was about a quarter of the moons diameter, I would reckon. The object, or the explosion, seemed to grow, or shift, at first, but then held a circular shape for about 5-10! seconds. After this time, "wings" seemed to grow or appear out of the top and bottom, again seemingly on fire, with many colors and stange flashes continuing within the "fire." The wings formed with the original ball a crescent shape. If I had to guess its size, based on the distance I think it was from me, I would say 300-500 feet in length, from wing tip to wing tip. I don't quite remember exactly how the explosion/object/craft disappeared, just that it seemed to quite quickly. This particular object I saw in the sky for about twenty seconds in totality.

After the above object disappeared, I saw a second event about one or two seconds after, and about three degrees to the left in the sky. Two lights, which seemed to be obvious jets of human design, were flying quite fast in what I would consider to be combat manuevers. Working seemingly in concert they both were performing roll after roll, never stopping turning, and seemingly at full speed. The distance from me to them was great enough that I could not hear them, but despite the many turns, they were moving left across my vision, that is north, at a good clip. As I watched them in wonder, for as I said I noticed them first directly after and adjacent to the strange object above, I noticed a much smaller light, so small I didn't see it at first. This light appeared to be a tiny craft, and it was flying in between the two jets, seemingly dodging or fighting with them. For all intents and purposes, it appeared what I was watching was a battle. This battle continued and ran, as! I said above, left and north across my vision. I was only halfway up a hill while watching all this, and the craft, all three of them, slipped behind some trees. I ran the rest of the way up the hill to try to see the encounter, but I never saw anything strange again that night, or since.

Spectacular Lights seen to separate in Virginia outside Washington DC

At approximately 7:00pm on Saturday January 3 2009 my wife and I went into our backyard to walk our dogs. We were in the backyard for a few minutes when I saw a bright light that seemed stationary in the Northeast sky. I pointed the light out to my wife and than noticed it was slightly moving from north to south. We live 40 miles outside Washington DC, near Dulles airport, so we do see a lot of airplane traffic.

I started to think we must be looking at a slow moving airplane. As the light got closer I noticed there wasn't any blinking lights and this light was not acting like a conventional aircraft. The light would slowly move than stop and stay stationary for several minutes than would start moving again. While we watched the light I told my wife to stay and watch so I can go inside to grab the camera. I ran into the house, grabbed the camera and opened the back sliding glass door. Just as I started filming the light was just making it over my house, I told my wife to meet me in the front yard. As I ran to the front yard and met my wife I again started filming the light, at this point it was slowly flying above Orion, which was just rising in the east. This is when the unbelievable happened. Just as the light was above Orions belt my wife said "Look it's turning around" I couldn't believe my eyes. The light was making a complete U-Turn. But even more spectacular, as the light made the U-Turn, another light continued moving south and stayed on the original path. What I'm trying to say is-the light we were originally watching turned into two separate lights. One made a complete 180 degree turn headed back north and was blue in color, the other light continued south. It seemed to me that these two lights were somehow together or connected and than separated. The light that U-Turned off the original light soon stopped and remained stationary for approximately five minutes as the other light continued south. Soon after the original light was out of sight the U-Turned light started moving ag! ain towa rds the north until it was out of sight.

During this sighting my neighbor was also walking his dog, he saw my wife and I and was also able to see the two lights after they separated. This was our sighting. I really hope someone else saw what we did.

I wanted to report an interesting sighting that occurred at 13:00 hours(1:00pm) on December 14 2008 in the towns of Gainesville/Haymarket Virginia, which is outside of Washington DC.

I am a Meteorologist and amateur astronomer with many years of trained observation of the day and night time sky.

I've added the 11:00am-2:00pm hourly weather report for the day the sighting occurred (1:00pm) and the Astronomical data for December 14 2008.

As I walked into my backyard I was looking at the long contrails extending north to south across the deep blue sky.

I soon noticed a lower flying aircraft flying from the northeast to the southwest. As I watched the aircraft I soon noticed a small white object following close behind it. Stunned at first, I starred at the object trying to figure out what this object could be. After a few seconds of observation I noticed the object was white in color and disk or orb like in appearance.

While I watched the white disk it started swinging back and forth behind the airplane in a left to right type fashion. I wondered at first if I was seeing a big white bird, I quickly realized this was definitely not the case. As I watched the object swing left to right it all a sudden dove or dropped straight down and flew underneath the airplane for a few seconds, it then swung just under the plane to the left side and amazingly completely circled the airplane and then again trailed behind it.

I was absolutely amazed at what I was seeing, it was at this point I thought to myself, do I have time to run inside and grab my camera. I hesitated at first thinking the object would be gone by the time I got back. Than I thought, I have to try because know one will believe me if I don't get a picture-so off I went running. I grabbed the camera, ran back outside and was just able to take a short video as the object disappeared over Haymarket toward the Bull Run mountains.

I have tried to consider other explanations for this object but have been mostly unable to do so. The only possibility could be a in flight refuel for the air combats that are deployed to protect Washington DC airspace. I don't think this is much of a possibility since the aircraft the object was following was not military but a passenger plane. The white disk I saw was also not a conventional military aircraft. There wasn't any wings visible on the craft and the craft was more disk/orb like in appearance.

I wanted to report this sighting to you in hopes that someone else in my area may have also seen this remarkable ariel display.

Matellic Object Seen In Gainsville Virginia

Hello, I saw this object as I walked outside into my back yard at about 11:00 am. A bright flash caught my attention in the northern sky. At first sight I assumed I was seeing an airplane. I quickly noticed this wasn't a airplane but a short stubby metallic object. This object is hard to describe, please see accompanied photos for a better explanation. The object moved at normal speed and seemed to just silently glide from the north east to south west toward the Bull Run Mountains.

This object could have been a aircraft unknown to me so please see the photos to make your own assumption. I did not take these photographs. I found these when researching the object I saw. The photos where taken on interstate 95 south while the witness was stuck in traffic. He had seen this object stationary and then something smaller flew into it. The pictures shows exactly the object I saw and it was on the same day. It has to be the same object.

Bright Blue Fluorescent Light Seen in Virginia Outside Washington DC

I am reporting a strange light my wife and I saw over Gainesville Va.

While my wife and I were walking my dog I noticed a bright almost fluorescent Blue light stationary in the North Eastern sky. After a few minutes of observing the object, the light started to move. The light quickly picked up speed, abruptly slowed to a stop, starting moving again and than sped off to the South West at a tremendous pace.

The blue color of this light is hard to describe, it was the strangest bright translucent fluorescent blue I have ever seen. I am baffled at what this object was.

Large bright white ball of light flying through local area.

I was taking a walk in my neighborhood and looked into the sky and saw a rather large bright ball of light. The ball of light was moving slowly through the clear night sky at about the speed and height you would see a normal aircraft move. The ball only stayed at this speed for a few seconds and began to accelerate and instantly shot off and disappeared into the night sky.

There were no clouds in the area for the light to go behind and there was no mistaking this for an airplane. Like I said the movement the ball made when it disappeared into the sky was instantaneous.

I proceeded to call a friend five to ten minutes later when I reached my house and decided to walk back outside.

Just as I was describing the ball of light over the phone it returned with the great speed it had left with.

The ball of light had shot back into the nearby sky and began to hover for a few moments in a circular motion. I then grew tired and watching the object and went inside to report the sighting.

I am 21 years old and a junior in college and have lived in this neighborhood for almost my entire life.

High, bright small light heading W/NW

While out on our backyard deck enjoying the evening and looking for fireflies, my wife spotted a very high, very bright light almost overhead, approaching from the West-to-SouthWest direction and approximately 10:00 high in the direction, which is blocked by trees any lower than that. As we watched it travel almost directly overhead toward the East-to-NorthEast direction, we both noticed very clearly that there were no navigation or strobe lights on it as are always on aircraft.

Sky conditions: It is a very clear night tonight but with considerable light pollution in our area so very few stars are visible. The moon is only about 10-15 degrees above the horizon in the South-Southeast, and above and to the right of that is a bright star which may be Saturn (we're not astronomers, but a neighbor had been talking about viewing it with his telescope and it seems to be about in the right direction and time).

We would estimate the brightness of the light to be approximately 2-3 times greater than that of Saturn (or whatever that brightest star is in the S-SE) with a great deal of "clarity" and precision to the light, a very bright, pinpoint-like light.

While it very well could be a satellite or the ISS or something else, we felt it worth mentioning here because of two primary reasons: 1) Complete lack of normal NAV lights or beacons per a standard aircraft configuration. Only a very bright light, and we noted as it traveled away from us that they also couldn't be landing lights, since it was as bright going away from us as it was overhead.

2) Apparent speed: Altitude is almost impossible to guess at here since there was nothing to give away the size...again, it could have been at a normal-high altitude (10K ft. or higher) or in low orbit like a satellite or the ISS. The only clue to altitude was any sound, and there was none, which gave the impression of a very high altitude (20-30K minimum). With that altitude, the speed just simply didn't seem right; it was traveling at least twice, if not three times, as fast as any comparable commercial jet that we normally see at that altitude.

Since these two things made it very unusual, we watched it travel the complete distance almost to the low horizon in the distance before it was out of sight. That took only about 2 to 3 minutes maximum - again, much quicker than the usual commercial or military jet. It did not change course at any time, altitude did not seem to vary either.

We're mentioning it here primarily for the interest of correlating it with any other sightings tat may coincide, or to see if possibly the ISS or a satellite is the reason.

Background: Wife and I don't drink, don't do any recreational drugs, not "UFO-holics", married 18 wonderful years, in our late-40's / early 50's, wear corrective lenses (glasses for her, contact lenses for me), no regular medications and in good physical and mental health (knock on wood), she is a lab technician and I am an engineer with a lifelong interest in aviation and a few hours towards my private pilot's license, essentially a wanna-be pilot and "airplane geek", so have a very fair degree of experience in observing and identifying a very large number of aircraft at different altitudes, positions, and sky/weather conditions.

Caught a UFO object in a photo

During the summer, I was walking up my street just taking some random photos. There was an empty for-sale house on my street and the sun was above it, behind some trees, so I thought it would make a good picture. I snapped a few photos and moved down and then went back inside. I downloaded my pics onto my laptop. I noticed as I was looking at one that it looked like a UFO in the top right corner. ( I will email the picture). The other photos I took didn’t contain the object. I think it looked like a flying saucer…there was no one outside that day and the house was empty at the time, and there is nothing but miles of woods behind the houses, so it wasn’t a Frisbee. I don’t think it was a spec or dust particle because I think I wiped my camera lense off before taking pictures. And if it was, the spec wouldn’t appear like that on the photo. The object is blurred, so obviously, it was moving fast. Although I don’t believe it is a bird, it very well could be. I really want some second opinions on my photo. It was taken with a Nikon CoolPix L14 7 megapixel digital camera. I don’t remember the exact time but it was on July 7th. I didn’t see the object in the sky when or before I took the picture and I never saw any birds flying by. What do you think? Please take a look at the photo in the email!

Two quick moving lights in the sky sighted in Gainesville, FL

I was driving to a friend's house around 5:45 AM when I saw two circle lights in the sky that were moving fairly quick. They were both next to each other at first, then they started to move apart in different directions. I know for sure that they weren't airplanes because neither had any flashing lights and airplanes don't move that quick in the sky. I lost sighting as I turned the corner to my friend's house and as I pulled up in the drive way, I got out of the car to see which direction they went and sure enough, I caught one of them and got a better look at it as it was flying across the sky. There was no noise as it flew across the sky. As I was staring at the moving light in the sky, my friend came out of the house and saw it too. He then, told me so that what ever that was, it wasn't an airplane. It was really spooky.

Greenlight falling from sky over Haymarket, Virginia area.

This event occured Tuesday evening as I was driving back to my home located in Gainesville, VA. I was heading in the North Western direction at the time, and out of the left corner of my I saw a strange greenish tint object falling towards the ground out of the sky looked to be a few miles away. It looked to be falling somewhere over the haymarket, possibly a bit north west from that area. The angle in which it was falling I would have to say was between a 20-30degree decline. I would have to guess the actual light appeared very low in the atmosphere and seemed to definitely falling within this imediate area. It was a greenish yellow maybe a little red or blue around the outside. The movement wasnt seen for 5-10 seconds.
