Metallic spinning object twinkling in the sun. Spinning consistently with what looked like lights as well.

An object was crossing the sky in a seeming straight line and consistent slowish speed (a plane flew lower and went much faster). The sun was reflecting off the object so it was bright but it was spinning so it was twinkling. No sound. A plane flew under nearby it much faster and louder. I noticed it on the horizon and watched it cross across the sky above me for at least 5 minutes. Took a cell phone video which also seems to show it was spinning. No spoke or trail behind it. Thought it may be a balloon but appeared higher than the plane and also would have had to be very large to be visible from there. Also it was at a consistent speed and spin, not appearing to be in the wind.

I was on our deck, I looked up and saw a sun which turned into a dumbbell.

From my deck I looked up and saw a sun shaped object. It was yellow mixed with orange and the more I watched it the outside rim started to look black and looked like it was coming closer. I got scarred and I got out of it’s view. After 2 minutes I looked to see if it was there, but it had changed it’s shape into a Barbell. It was outlined in orange and was half put together. I could see the sky between it’s markings. I watched it as it finished it’s shape then it started moving, very slowly and disappeared as it went around a tall tree with yellow leaves. It had no sounds coming from it and I could see though the pattern markings and it showed no fuel sources .

Shiny object hovering in the mountain range.

I was returning home from work this afternoon taking 150 North toward Monson/Willimantic, just past the farm and saw a silvery-shiny looking object in what seemed to come off a mountain. I travel this road frequently and have never seen that object in that place before. I saw it for about 30 seconds before turning around and went back to see if it was still there - it hadn't moved. I looked at it for about a minute before deciding to maybe get closer or a better view but couldn't. I shrugged it off as maybe someone had a satellite dish on the top of the mountain or it was something man made. I took photos on my cell phone and looked at them when I got home and there is definitely some light reflection off of something. As far as I could tell it didn't move and stayed stationary.

I couldn't see much of a shape from the distance I was at but I originally thought it looked like a planchette from a quija board, although it may have been oval or rectangular with rounded ends.

Picture this, 10 at night in the middle of nowhere. I see three bright lights almost hovering maybe 200 yds off the ground. I literally stop my car and put down the window expecting to hear helicopter blades, but there's nothing.

Just as I stop, the lights start moving toward me, very slowly... still no sounds until it is right over me, that when I can hear a hum and "whooshing"... I look up to see a wedge shape set of wings with various square areas underneath them, but NO fuselage... in fact it's more of a dent at the middle... mind you there is no airport anywhere near me.... I cannot explain it…

There are round shapes burned into the grass in a field near my house They are visible from google earth and show up in every secluded field in town.

There are hundreds of them. I would be happy to show you and send some pictures I have taken.

2 years ago I saw what looked like a gray saucer leaving from this area.

My husband and I were in our garage, and my husband caught a flash out of the corner of his eye we thought it was a meteor it wasn't we went out into the yard, it looked like a fire ball and it went up into the clouds a meteor would have burnt out this didnt. Green luminesent object with contrail impacts ocean, lights up Guilford CT sky.

I am reporting this sighting as a second hand source primarily as a service to those involved in the laudable efforts of this site.

Secondly, it was pure coincidence that I happened to hear this story behind this encounter and I fear it would have taken a grand effort to encourage the people involved to file a report.

And so, in brief here are the details of the event as I heard them from three separate adult females living as neighbors in a small coastal enclave in Guilford, CT.

At roughly around midnight on August 18, 2007, a comet-like, highly-luminescent and glowing green object appeared descending in a rapid fashion towards the surface of the ocean. The object, which traveled in a consistent, linear trajectory was additionally noted to have a bright contrail which seemed to wax in intensity as it neared its duly inevitable impact.

Upon impact I was told there was no discernable noise but a great flash of light that illuminated the entire panorama of the community and ocean. When the witnesses were questioned about how certain they were of the object’s identity as a comet or a meteor all three seemed to balk. Although none admitted to witnessing anything extraordinary about the object's actions, they were wholly unwilling to commit to excluding the object as being something else, i.e. a military craft, plane crash or UFO.

Fast moving bright light that instantly disappeared with a trace.

I will state my background first- I am a computer programmer with a relatively high IQ. I am an active Private Pilot. I live almost directly under the Madison, CT VOR navigation station. Nightly, I watch helicopters, small planes, and airliners fly above my house. All aircraft are required to have operating navigation lights, and anti-collision lights. I can generally classify aircraft based on relative velocity, and the type of engine. In the 40 degree weather we are having, even turbofan engines at 35,000 are clearly audible. The navigation lights are always visible, and at most angles, the anti-collison "strobe" can be seen. There is no weather currently, and all stars and planets are extremely clear.

Tonight, as I stood on my deck, I witnessed an "aircraft" with only 1 VERY bright light that was moving quickly enough that the alitude would have to have been VERY low, or the velocity was extremely high. This caught my attention. It traced a path above my house in only a few seconds, when an airliner can take a minute.

The light distinguished ((sic--extinguished??)), and I waited for the engine noise, only none came- just total silence. I could not see the shape, only a bright light. There was no further sign of it. It was visible for a few seconds as it appeared to come from over the horizon to about 70 degrees vertical above my house. I was facing easterly, so the path was roughly south to north.

The light was far, far brighter than the landing lights, anti-collision lights, or navigation lights on any aircraft I have ever seen. I have witnessed dozens of "shooting stars" over my house as recently as the shower this summer, and it did not, in any way resemble the intensity, path, or time that a meteor has.

The light extinguished instantly as if it was turned off, and did not appear to burn out as a meteor does. I don't know what else to say-

I am baffled enough to write this. I hope someone else in Connecticut saw this event and may shed some light on it.

My sister and I were about to go for a hike. I remarked how blue the sky was today and that there were no chemtrails. ( seems like an everyday occurance) We saw an airplane to the left which was flying west to east. To the east of the airplane, we both saw a circular, white shape that was at first flying east , but then seemed to zig-zag side to side , then move vertical as well. We had to keep moving to keep it in our sight, as when we moved , trees would hamper our sight. We observed this object for about 1 minute, and both remarked how we wished we had brought our cameras today, since the snow that had fallen yesterday had made everything look so pretty. In comparison to the airplane it had to have been larger, because it was higher in elevation. We kept moving to keep it in veiw, but either disappeared from our sight or vanished in an instant because after approximately 1 minuter we no longer saw it any where in the sky.

A triangle shaped UFO rose straight up in the air, nose up, then stopped, straighted out so the nose was pointing at us and flew away.

At about 8:40, my little sister told me to look outside. She said there was something in the air. So I went to the door and saw something rising straight up in the air. I could see blinking lights in the shape of a triangle. After a few minutes, it stopped mid-air. After sitting there for a couple seconds, I couldn't see the blinking lights any more and it began moving straight and then right over my house. The lights that were facing me when it was going straight up were now on the bottom of the UFO, so I believe the UFO was rising with the nose in the air. We watched it until it was out of sight. It was heading North West. Also, my dogs were freaking out the whole time it was near.

Three white ovals were seen floating in sky over cul-de-sac.

My friend and I were passing a football on a cul-de-sac at the end of my street,when a comercial airliner flew by low. We continued to pass the football after the plane had left. A few minutes later, we saw 3 small white ovals floating around in the sky where the plane had flown earlier. The first oval flew slowly towards the sun in the west and the 2nd soon followed. The third started to follow,then changed direction and went the opposite way. It turned slightly and I saw a metalic flash. After about 15 seconds the ovals were gone. We ran back to my house and got binoculars and a camera. We returned and watched for the ovals again. Two small private planes flew by low but they didn't look like the things we saw, plus the third oval had changed direction and planes can't do that. The sky was also clear and sunny.

Cone shaped objects with lighted tails observed in northeast

My sighitng was on a clear July nite. I was driving notrh(really slightly north-east) on Interstate 95, at exit 57 for Guilford, CT. I happened to look up as the approach to the exit was an upgrade, and I noticed activity in the sky.... several fast moving,cone-shaped objects sped in a northerly direction. These cone-shaped objects had a tail which was lighted...I can't recall a color, but it was a lighted trail. I also noticed in the same short period of time, after the 4 to 6 cones passed toward the north,I then saw 2 to 3 speeding in the southerly direction. The northely and southerly movement was separate... not at the same time, first to the north, then to the south. I did pull over to the roadside to have a better look, but unfortunately there was no more activity. I drove to my exit, # 58,and stopped at the ramp end and again looked skyward only to observe no further activity. As I drove home I tried to continue looking skyward while watching traffic. Nothing! When I reached home,I ran to the back yard to get a better view however, sadly,I saw nothing else. I did observe the Hale-Bop(sp?) Comet a few years ago and would say these objects looked similar, but smaller and mover much faster through the sky. This activity all happened within 2-3 minutes...from 9:58 to 10:00PM. It was especially exciting as the sky was so incredibly clear. This is my first sighting of any unusual activity since the HB Comet.I am not an astromomer, but merely a constant observer who is fascinated with beautiful skys.

No interaction, but eye contact made directly almost face to face with distinct humanoid figure with circular head.

I had awoken at probably midnight or 1:00 am. I was unsure, but I had a strong feeling of something watching me, or similar. I sit up, and in the window (which is on the second story of my house), there were two glowing greenish eyes. The unidentified creature had a distinct humanoid head, with no ears, and almost no nose, but it was hidden almost. I did not have any interactions with this figure, but I did make a distinct eye contact that I will never forget. I approached the window, then turned and walked out of my room and to the bathroom to make sure I wasn't asleep, and I was not.
