A gray V shaped object that almost looked invisible with no lights, gliding slowly across the sky, but no sound and seem to be low

We were sitting in the hot tub and it had just gotten dark and something flew over that looked like a drone, but it must’ve been a plane. It was loud and had four flashing lights. Shortly after, the weird object flew by that was in a wide, V shape. It didn’t have any lights, it looked gray, and there was no sound, it was just smoothly gliding across the sky. It was almost unnoticeable. We both saw the same thing. The object came by a few minutes after the low lying plane that looked like a drone.

I saw a white and green object falling from the sky, moving relatively fast, no sound or trail. One solid light. Round.

It was approximately 9:50 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2024. I was on the street corner diagonal to the Powhatan Sports Complex in Norfolk, VA. I had just stopped to check something on my phone, when all of a sudden, I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a spherical object heading towards the ground. It was a solid light, with an appearance similar to a flare, but there was no trail behind it, and it wasn't pulsating. It had a primary white color with a green hue surrounding it. I observed it for only 2 seconds. The object was very low, heading at a very high rate of speed, with no distinguishable wings or navigation/anti-collision lights or beacons on it. It did not make any noise. It appeared to be heading southwest, towards the cargo ship port, but it vanished too quickly to see where it was heading. There was no visible source of propulsion either.

Took a shot of the end of the rainbow and did not see this until we looked at the photo on a big screen today.

My husband took this photo of the end of the rainbow the day of the Run for Children's Hospital in downtown Norfolk (Waterside) on May 11/24 at 6:12 am. We just now (6/14/24) looked at the photo and found this thing in the air. My husband is retired military - he was quite surprised to find the thing and says that it was NOT visible in the sky when he took the photo, so it must have been moving at a very high speed. Probably ours, but definitely not what we usually see around here.

Bright light hovering south and west of Norfolk, Nebraska. It then withdrew, but maintained roughly the same position in the sky.

Late in the evening of October 21, 2022, I was soaking in my hot tub on the deck on the east side of my home at 1000 Park Way, Norfolk, NE. As the fifteen minute jet cycle ended, I was preparing to go into the house about 11:30 p.m. I then noticed a bright light to the southwest of my home.

My home is roughly a half mile north of our local hospital. In the 16 years that we have had the hot tub, I often see helicopters coming and going from the hospital. My first thought was that this was an incoming helicopter with its landing lights lit. I was a bit surprised that it was quite a bit higher than other helicopters I have seen coming and going. Further, I did not see any of the flashing red lights found on aircraft. I just guessed that the positioning in the sky blocked my view of the same. I believed it to be a helicopter because it was virtually motionless in the sky. There was no doubt in my mind that it was not a part of the celestial bodies that I regularly see while in my hot tub.

Soon, I became perplexed at why the craft was parked in the sky. From my perspective (and assuming an object the size of a helicopter), it was my belief that it might be 1500-2000 feet in the air and maybe 5+ miles distant from me. As I was wondering why it remained aloft, I thought that possibly there was another helicopter on the ground and that it needed to clear the area so I decided to wait and watch the transfer of helicopters. As I was watching and waiting for it to land, I did observe a small plane pass through the area about midnight going from northwest to southeast at quite a low altitude. The plane went right between me and the lighted craft. After about another 15-20 minutes I concluded that a second copter was not likely as the one aloft would be headed to another hospital for its patient.

At about this same time, it did seem to me that the craft was becoming less bright due to moving away. At that point I went to get my phone to capture some pictures. When I started taking pictures, the craft was about 1/3 the size that had first appeared to me. I was disappointed that I only had a 10x zoom on my phone, but got some pictures.

As I prepared to retire for the evening, I remembered that I had a digital camera with 40x zoom capability. I gathered the camera and returned for more pictures. By now the image was only about 1/5 of its original size, but I got what I got. With no tripod, it was difficult holding the camera on target. I also discovered that video captured better images in this low light environment.

Lastly, I want to clearly state that the image was not moving in space. All of the movement was on my end. All in all, I observed my object for about 1 ½ hours. I had thought about calling local authorities, but by that time the object was nearly blending into the celestial background.

Just got home from seeing our grandchildren. We were sitting out front facing our house, which faces us towards the Chesapeake Bay!

09/04/22 at 10:18 pm. We saw something in the sky, that had a glow of light in front of it (like air that was glowing and being pushed to the side). It moved very fast, and smoothly. I was alone, and had been sitting in a lawn chair. I stood up, and saw the glow, and how it moved differently than the usual planes we see in the flight paths usually taken in the sky! I called to my husband who had just walked inside, and he came out and saw it as well. My phone was on the porch, and he said take a picture. I grabbed the phone (which was on our porch), and took a pic. We continued to watched it, and about 45 seconds later it disappeared into the sky!

On August 12, 2022 we had been sitting out front, and a round glowing ball of light came by our house. Then a few minutes later it came back, and went back to the direction it had came from. It was fast, and smooth. It was between 11-1 am. We had been sitting out front that night. We did not get a picture of that occurrence.

Saw an object in the sky with a white flowing glow around it move through the sky, at a fast, smooth rate and then disappear in the sky

09//4/22 at exactly 10:18 p.m. I was sitting on my porch, facing towards my house (which would face me towards the Chesapeake Bay). I turned my head to the right to look down our street, and saw something large in the sky, with a glowing hue around it flowing on the top, and sides. I starred at it as it made it halfway across the sky towards the Chesapeake Bay. I yelled to my husband to come out something was in the sky. He came outside looked up. We both watched it continue to move towards the Chesapeake Bay. I grabbed my camera, and took a picture of it. Then when it looked like it was above the Chesapeake Bay, it disappeared into the sky instantly. Afterwards, we viewed the picture, and could see the object where we saw it with our naked eyes. We also noticed the large glowing hue, we saw the whole time,was not in the picture.

Observed a light rise up over the trees quickly with no sound, then change color, speed and direction vanishing into the distance fast!

Around 8:56pm on Saturday evening, I was detailing my vehicle in my front yard facing the north. It was a clear night after days of overcast sky's and rain. My teen daughter came out to talk with me while I was wrapping things up and I saw a light rise up over the tree line in front of me in the distance engulfed in a glowing aura.
I exclaimed to my daughter "Oh look! what do you think that is?"
She turned around to look with me, and we watched the craft(light). A Golden, and white aura, with a red glow in the front of, what seemed to resemble an inverted chevron shape (The chevron wasn't visible until it gained altitude and decreased its illumination.) It increased speed and illumination while gaining altitude. It then de-illuminated, but was still visible to the naked eye due to the sunlight slightly still in the western sky. It then traveled across the sky from the north to my east, (In the direction of the Norfolk international Airport) then change direction away form us going east super fast, super sonic speed towards the horizon in the direction of the oceanfront all still with no sound at all. What I thought was a firework at first just totally blew our minds!

My 3 year old son said " look mommy ", and pointed at the sky. This mysterious light or UFO was flying over house and flying across the sky in circles around our house . It did at one point look like it turn a slightest green color but it was really quick. I can't explain exactly what it is until you look at the video and decipher what it looks like to you.

Huge craft, size of a building (2ish football fields). Silent hovering over the highway in and out of clouds. No attempt to conceal.

Setting: Driver of a vehicle, overcast, medium to light traffic, headed northbound recently passing the Hampton Coliseum (~exit 263).

I Saw(1): A massive ship "moving slowly across all lanes of the highway just above the trees, slowly enough for me to observe the ship with great detail approaching it. I am pretty sure I was in a state of awe as I kept driving.

MAYBE Missing time: I was on a short timeline to meet my brother in Richmond. No planned stops (full gas) 1.5ish hr drive. I don't recall pulling over (I am the type of person that, when I drive, I don't like to stop if I don't have to)

I Saw (2): I am in a parking lot at a fast food restaurant (don't remember) in my vehicle (backed in a parking spot) just off of the highway I was just on. Not enough time to process until I immediately see the ship again, and I am put into another state of awe. It's just over the highway still where I need to go. I remember getting back on the highway and eventually passing under the ship.

I was able to get an extremely good look at the underside of the craft (huge ship) while leaning forwarding looking up through my windshield. The craft was so long you could not see end to end of the ship when it was perpendicular to the highway from my vantage point.

The odd thing is I remember seeing the ship from two very different angles. The first sighting occurred after just passing the Hampton Coliseum, and again while in my parked vehicle at a fast-food place (I didn't have food in the vehicle) on a trip I never make a stop on. I am not sure if the gap in time was just from my inability to process the situation or if I simply pulled over in shock.

I have a Garmin Dashcam. I remember trying to have it recorded but it was not responding to my commands. No footage was saved when I checked the SD Card.

Ship description: (A VERY similar ship that I could say it looks like is the Arbitrator, from EVE Online... Seriously). Had characteristics of a V but not the flying V you can find in popular UFO google searches)
-Green, red, and sometimes blue flashing lights.
-Red "under-dome"
-Metal plating, clayish to rust color.
-Piping and cables were black and situated behind the plating
-exposed "intricacies" between the "gapped" outer plating

White Orb seen traveling across sky, which then slowed, stopped, and then traveled away in different direction fading into distance.

My Daughter and I were outside about 16:30 9/15/21 examining a large spider that had spun a big web, high on the eves of our house. As we walked further around to the front of the yard examining it, she exclaimed "Dad, what's that light?" I looked up into the sky and saw what I thought was Venus at first. I even told her "Oh, that's just Venus!" I looked away at her ready to explain how I had been watching Venus rises in that part of our sky. Then she said "Yeah, but its moving.." I returned my gaze up to the object which at first glance looked like a celestial body. If it had been still in the sky, I would have thought it a large star or planet type of heavenly body.

She was correct! It sure was moving. Slowly across the sky, horizontally over the Norfolk Airport area. Form our view it was first moving from the south to the north, north east. As it traveled, it seemed to intensify in its luminosity as we watched it go across the sky(it never dropped in altitude, was defiantly not a flare), like a bright LED bulb but with no glare. Just a ball of illumination. The light was (Star like) is the best I can describe. Nothing I've seen in a craft before.

An aircraft of some kind was flying high, and circling around in front of, the forward flightpath of the UAP. My daughter exclaimed "I don't like what that helicopters doing" I said :You think its chasing it??" She said "Yeah! Look!" The UAP then stopped its northerly course and went directly east, quickly fading out into the distance. We noticed after it was gone a few other high altitude aircraft in the vicinity of the event.

White cylindrical object with trailing haze, bigger than our plane, pilots don’t know what it is.

United Airlines flight 301. White cylindrical object with rounded nose (like a tic tac..?), appeared as we started our descent to land. It had no discernible lights but very luminescent in the darkness, size bigger than our plane about twice. At first I thought it was a plane on fire or some kind of test for releasing water for fighting forest fires- but the haze kept growing. It moved across the sky with a swirling haze behind it (have pictures too) parallel to the ground towards the ocean. The event lasted for only a few minutes before it vanished above the water leaving the smoke/haze to disperse. Pilots couldn’t figure it out what it was, they called in but it was not like anything they seen before and we had a good laugh since it was such a surprise. Working as an engineer I assumed it was new technology, or a test- but it was an odd place. If it’s a new phenomena I would love to know what it was.

I never reported it as I figured no one would believe me. I have lived in this area my entire life and have NEVER seen something so large, bright, and high in the sky. This is not legitimate. It was 10:50 p.m. I cannot give the angle of elevation. The second video is the first time it happened on December 29, 2020 from the same exact location. I apologize for reversing the order of the videos. If an investigator has time to contact me, that would be great considering this over Naval Station Norfolk and the Port of VA. I will look back through my phone for additional videos and do have photos.

I was in my pool, looking up and heard an airplane above. I looked and saw a small personal plane flying over head, to the left of the plane I saw an object that I initially thought was a hawk. I have chickens so I was wary of having hawks overhead so I watched it to see if it would come down from where it was. It was very high up in the air, it had what I could imagine was a wing span. I was waiting for it to circle the air the way hawks do and it didn't, it just hovered, then it moved slowly. I figured it was a hawk surfing the wind. But it still didn't behave like a hawk. So I thought maybe it was a vulture or an eagle. I came to the conclusion that it was a type of eagle or vulture. I kept staring at it, it must have been about 1 minute by this point. The airplaine was out of sight. Then all of a sudden, it changed direction and shape and what looked like a bird then looked like a dark ball or sphere/disc with a slight shine to the top of it and it seeme! d like it was rotating while it quickly descended downward at an angle of about 45 degrees with a purpose, no wavering it was a clean line,toward the direction where the plane was headed although the plane was not on a descent. the object had no wings at this point. I wondered if it was a drone? I looked up drones with retractable wings but couldn't really find any. I also looked up drones that look like birds and couldn't find a match. I know drones have lights, but this thing didnt have any. So strange.

August ,4, 2020, mid day, seen best with binoculars, a stationary angular object, reflecting the sun's light.

My husband was the first to spot it while he was resting on a chaise after some yardwork. Initially he thought it might be “floaters” in his eye, but then he was able to repeatedly see it even after looking away. He called for me to come out and see. The object appeared as a star that was visible almost straight overhead, and about at 1:00 to the west. It was 11:00AM on the morning of August 4, 2020. We continued to observe it for at least an hour with initially our naked eye and then with two different pairs of binoculars. It appeared to be reflecting the sun in a clear blue sky, not emitting its own source of light. With the naked eye it appeared as a star. With binoculars it took on an oblong shape, according to my husband. To me, it was oblong , but I could also see some angles and an obvious red color at one end of the structure. Once I told my husband that I clearly saw the red spot, he was able to also make it out to a degree ,though not as clear to him as it was to me. I almost think I was seeing an airplane like shape, with the red area being on the upper left, but being unable to keep the binoculars steady enough for long enough, I can’t be certain. It was pretty much stationary for the entire time. It may have meandered slightly as we had trouble finding it with our naked eye at one point, but when we finally did pick it out again, we were viewing it at a slightly different spot in our yard. Upon viewing it with the binoculars from this spot, the red area was more beneath the white star. We called our neighbor over and he also observed it with his naked eye and then his own binoculars.

This is from a video I saw on-line. It's from the U.S. Naval Base at Norfolk, Virginia. At 9:07, (minutes/seconds) thru 9:10 of the video, an object can be seen flashing across the sky, perpendicular to the flight deck of the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman. You can better judge its speed than I can, but it was booking! Elevation looks to be under 2,000 feet.

Title of the video is: Inside Navy Strategies (1), Aircraft Carrier Harry S. Truman I Full Documentary - You Tube Video. It is by WELD, a German production company. (They may have put it together because one of their ships, the 'Hessen' F221, is part of this NATO fleet exercise. After seeing this UFO, I intently watched the remainder, searching for more sightings but they're were none.

I was out in my front lawn taking out the trash of which I was looking up at the sky at the constellations as I usually do when I am out. I noticed a very bright light in the sky that looked to me like Jupiter however it was in the wrong spot. At first I was thinking it could be a drone or something but it was above the clouds and their appeared to be a couple of planes flying in the same vicinity as well. After a minute or so the light just blinked out as if a light switch was turned off and then there was nothing there.

Loud, hovering oscillating never heard before sound.

Heard an oscillating sound that sounded like it was coming from outside hovering around my neighborhood for a few minutes. I didn't get to see anything, but this was like nothing I've ever heard before. It was really loud at one point and then proceeded to grow more distant as it went away. Immediately after, I heard a jet like sound fly over.

There were about 20 aircrafts shaped like the size of stars because they were so far away and they were in a line formation moving South east. Spread out line with one following far in the rear away from others. Was in a steady motion about the same as an aircraft but it could’ve been an aircraft because of the number of objects and how close they were. Colors were ranging from orange to a yellow-white.

Extremely loud bang, light spotted in sky.

My girlfriend and I were laying in bed and heard this extremely loud boom noise. Was looking outside to see if I saw a car accident due to the noise sounding very close. Looked in the sky and say a glowing light moving left to right in an almost perfect semi circle. The speed changed as the craft moved and at times it would almost look like it was just hovering.

During breaks in the clouds you could see that the light was brighter, but then would go behind cloud cover again.

Norfolk Naval Base UFO sighting

Was pulling into the parking lot near the piers on Norfolk Naval base. I glanced out my window (looking south) and seen what appeared to be a shooting star, but it never diminished or faded away. It looked like a white tic tac and had a greenish glow and short tail behind the object and was moving silently and quick (500mph +) across the sky. It went from over the piers to out of sight in less than 10 seconds. Pulled out my phone and captured a video, but it's not visible on the replay and I don't have special programs to enhance the video.

The light was very high in the sky. Possibly higher than an airplane could go but I am not too sure. I could not see any FAA lights, wings, or anything, for that matter, other than a very bright light, moving somewhat fast in the sky, for how high up it was.

My fiancé and I witnessed a solid red light, moving quickly through the sky, and stopping to hover at irregular intervals. The red light was bright and steady–not flashing/blinking like normal aircraft lights. During one of the stopped/hovering moments, a greenish light began to intermittently blink on and off somewhat similar to aircraft light but with a slower transition between on/off.

During one of its hovers, the red light seemed to split into 2 red lights, at which point the green strobing light was turned off. A plane passed by in the general vicinity, but above the light, and it seemed to react by suddenly dropping altitude very quickly. Once the plane had passed, the 2nd red light disappeared/turned off and the green strobe resumed. The light then drifted slowly in the sky momentarily and then accelerated towards downtown Norfolk at about the speed of a helicopter until it was out of sight.

It could have possibly been a drone but the abnormal flight behavior, time of night, speed and distance covered made me skeptical of that.

It’s hard to estimate the altitude of the light, however it was well below the clouds and normal flight paths of aircraft in the area.

Cylindrical object spotted in Norfolk.

I was in my backyard with my 2 year old son around sunset, and we were looking at the moon, when we noticed in the sky at high altitude in close proximity to the moon (about 4 o'clock) a cylindrical type object with long panels extending the length of both sides of it that appeared to be hovering in the sky.

At first I thought it was a plane but I observed no contrails and then thought that maybe it was a satelite or the ISS, however after about 5 minutes, it vanished from view.

There were no clouds in the sky and the object did not move from its location, it literally just vanished.

I was sleep in my bedroom at around 10 pm and I was awoken by my dog barking as my parents was unlocking the front door of the house. When I was awoken I could hear but I couldn’t open my eyes or move my body, I heard something breathing heavily near my head, I was in a state of shock and my 1st thought it was my mother but I knew it wasn’t her because of the heavy breathing. I was able to hear and slightly feel the being that was breathing heavily near my head run away from my head, I heard and felt it’s foot steps on my pillow and then I heard it’s footsteps running on the desk near my bed. I vividly remember the sounds and cadence of the footsteps on my pillow and desk. Shortly afterwards I was able to move. I did not get up to look for trace of the being because I realized it didn’t want to be seen and it had some sort of intelligence because it did not run into anything that was on my desk. I also realized that if it was able to make me not move my muscles then it had the ability to stop my heart. I just laid in my bed wondering what was that. In the morning I checked my desk looking for footprints but I did not see anything.

Transparent chevron shaped craft with six faint lights flying over the Elizabeth River

On October 21st, 2015, I was working as a security boat captain providing security for a warship docked at BAE shipyard on the southern branch of the Elizabeth River, at approximately 130 a.m, myself and the one crew member aboard my vessel witnessed a very bizarre craft in the skies above downtown Norfolk. The craft was flying in a southerly direction from directly over the waterside area of downtown Norfolk, proceeding towards and over the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

It was a beautiful night and the skies were very clear, as we could see many of the star constellation. We were enjoying the night talking about the two CH-60 helicopters that had flown overhead thirty minutes prior, when we spotted six faint orange or yellowish colored lights in the sky, judging only from its lights; as we could not see any structural definition, we believe based on the formation of lights that it was chevron shaped.

As the craft flew directly overhead of us, the faint lights were ! no longer visible and the craft was completely transparent, and did not have any discernible aircraft marking lights; which was very strange considering the fact it was flying through an extremely busy corridor. We noticed a few other planes flying over in their normal landing procedure, strobes on as well as landing lights lit up, as we commonly see in the skies near Norfolk International airport.

I am retired military, and my training as a stinger missile gunner required me to be able to identify all aircraft by their silhouette at any angle, This was not any known aircraft I had ever seen, perhaps the most striking aspect of the incident was the complete silence surrounding it.

In viewing several commercial airliners after the incident occurred making their normal approaches at lower altitudes and taking note of the size they appeared based on our perspective, we estimate the size craft to be about 3-4 times larger than a normal commercial jet-liner.

The entire scene lasted about 30 seconds.

I have never witnessed anything like this before, and I cannot even begin to imagine the sort of technology needed to make a craft completely transparent, as well as totally silent.

I went outside for a cigarette. Looked up to the stars like I always do. I thought it was a wisp of cloud moving, but as I kept watching it was a formation of white dots moving across the sky. I kept watching to count about 20 of these white "star-like" points of light. They were moving in a loose line but as i watched i could count two next to each other as they slowly moved closer in to a distinct "V" formation. At some points it was hard to count them because it looked as if they over lapped.

The formation moved at an accelerated airplane speed. I was facing North-North-East as they moved North-North-West.

After about 12 seconds they disappeared out of side over a tree and far away. From my 60 degree angle it appeared that they were closer to to the Norfolk Naval Base as i did not see them over-head. If this was a flock of geese i dont know why it was so easy to spot them and why they were lit up.

My fiancé and I we’re driving home by the old Norfolk airport (basically a large empty field with a runway). She was looking up at the stars over the airport when she yelled at me to pull over. I did, and she then pointed out a blue light in the sky over the tree-line. The light was small at this distance, it hovered in place for a few seconds, then moved right, and immediately reversed direction. She started filming on her iPhone. I then decided to try and get closer to where it seemed to be hovering. I sped down a few streets trying to narrow down its location. We ended up near the Norfolk ice rink, where we found other people filming this light. We pulled over behind one car with two guys filming the light, and there was also a guy out of his van which he left in the middle of the road. There were 5 of us standing there watching this light hover directly above us, slowly moving towards the woods. The light was constantly changing direction above us. After about 3 minutes of filming, the light moved towards the woods and that was last we saw of it.

We could not make out the shape of the object due to the night sky being the only point of reference behind the light. We could make out four bright lights that seemed to be on the bottom of the object. Two were blue and two were red, giving off a purplish hue in between. The lights were in a square formation. There was absolutely no sound coming from the object. Due to all of these factors and attributes, we could not determine the size or distance of the object. It could have been large and far away, or small and up close. The whole encounter lasted approximately 15 minutes, with roughly 3 minutes of recorded video.

We were off the coast of the eastern seaboard, not 100% sure but I think we were off the Carolina's. The boat was doing work ups getting ready for deployment, we had a full deployment crew.

Me and a couple of other ET's heard some of the watch standers on the island talking about seeing something crazy, they said something about trying lock on to it with the Nato Sea Sparrow Director's onto the object. Me and a handful of guys on the night shift ran up to the O-10 where the watch standers were watching it. They had the mounted Binoculars trained on the object. I thought they were mistaking two stars one of which looked like a pulsar (due to my pretty extensive knowledge of astronomy). The object then appeared between the two stars again, the other guys saw the object as well. We all thought we might be imagining it, asked each other a couple of times if they saw it too. We all agreed that it was there.

When I first noticed it, I thought I was imagining it. How could a star disappear then reappear right in front of me? I watched it through the mounted binoculars changing colors between blue, white, purple, and pink at high speed, it kept pulsing.

It seemed to stay motionless, the problem was that the altitude was just high for any of us to make out exactly what it looked like, from our vantage point we could see that it may have been hovering and possibly moving but just can't say for sure.

After about 5 minutes of viewing the object as we were all trying to get a look at it, a bright flash filled the sky in the location of the object, it looked like it shot with an incredible speed and was gone. We were traveling North, the object was northeast of our Northerly heading. Our speed was approximately 15 to 20 knots.

The three watch standers at there post reported that two similar objects had come out of the main relatively stationary object and then rejoined the main object.

During my time watching the object CIC (Combat Information Center) was trying to get a radar lock on the object with the Nato Sea Sparrow Missile Directors. The directors (which are radar directors, fire control radar) kept trying to lock onto the object then it would drop back down to the horizon, the OS's (Operation Specialists) trying to drive the director back there again. Every time they would drive to get a lock the lock would fail and the director would be driven back down again. It seemed to me that the object was overriding the directors drive control or that the radar receiver was being over powered and being forced by internal programming to protect its receiver, (to get away from the source of the electromagnetic radiation) it could have been over-driven by the object being to close but more than likely the object was jamming the radar. I can't say weather it was jamming the object passively or actively, just that the radar was being jammed.

After the sighting I checked the SPN-43 and SPS-49 radar in CATCC, neither of them had a radar return, although at that altitude the chances of a radar return are very slim.

I tried to report it to my chain of command, they laughed at me and said that we didn't see anything. We probably just excited, I didn't expect that reaction especially when CIC reacted the way they did.

i watched them move very steadily for at least 30 minutes. They were not combustion engine, it was dead quiet. Closest thing comes to mind is satellites, but why 50 of them following each other? They were far away, above the clouds. I live next to a huge naval base and they chemical spray here all day everyday, My bet is to cloud the sky so we can't see, plus the negative health effects of course. I don't drink, smoke nor use drugs.

Two or three lights shoot across sky over naval base!

I took my pup to go outside last night and I was admiring how I could see the sky through all the light pollution n all of sudden there was a two maybe three white lights that literally shot out of nowhere. Now I would say it's a comet or meteor but I've seen those n thier a hell of alot slower. This thing practically warped to the other side of the sky in a split sec but there was no tail no sound nothing but some lights. Also, I happen to live a stones throw away from the naval base. Like gate 4 is in my backyard. But as soon as I saw that I grabbed my dog n ran in. As for myself I adore watching the shows on tv about this stuff but I can't be seeing that in real life, way to real for me lol

I saw an object that I had seen a few years ago. When I saw it before I was looking straight up and saw an object that was rectangle with a center light that was brighter than the others. It had several rows of lights beside the middle light and at the corners it had lights that beamed out to the sides of the object. I was watching the meteor shower on the 11th of Aug after midnight. I saw just over the tree line Zhumella sport optical and his eyesight is bad and he couldn’t see it. I can’t explain it. I wish someone would tell me why I see them every few years? And no one else sees them.

9:45pm EST, July 13th 2013.

Yellow Light magnitude = to Jupiter. Locatio approx 5 Degress South of Vega/Altair (Mid) axis. I was taking our dog for his late evening trip outsiide.

Notice what I thought was a planet but knew there had been no planets in this area of the sky recently.

Our last trip out with our dog is alway plus or minus 30 min of 10pm. I took my eyes off the object for a few seconds to watch our dog and looked up anff focused on the "light" just as it departed in a curved upward angle of 1-2 on the clock dial and whisped out off sight with accelerating speed.

It was amazing.

I grew up in Florida in the late 50's thru Mid 70's. As a youth was an avid fan of Nasa, Aviation, and Astronomy. We lived within 15 miles of MacDill AFB. This was no jet's afterburner glow.

This was a craft of some type. It had no audio signature.

Our 65lb Huskey was very excited for the next 45 minutes.

Video taped 20-25 bright amber colored objects slowly moving in the night sky that slowly faded as they increased in altitude.

I was walking my dog last night when I turned around facing north east and noticed about 8 amber lights in the night sky that were scattered yet in a rough formation. These objects were so noticeable and obvious I literally noticed them out of the corner of my eye while looking towards my dog on the ground. I immediately pulled out my iPhone and began to video tape what I saw. As I video taped I noticed that the objects were not completely stationary but were very slowly moving in what appeared to be my direction (sw) yet increasing in altitude at the same time. They can be best described as amber colored, yet bigger and closer than (in earths atmosphere) regular stars in the sky that moved very slowly. As I filmed I noticed they would move closer towards me, gain altitude and they would randomly fade out one by one. As they were fading below them through the trees I kept seeing more appear sometimes 2-3 at a time that were much brighter at they're lower alt! itudes and seemed to fade as they climbed in altitude. These objects made absolutely no sounds, and moved in no erratic motions, yet didn't have any characteristics of any man made aircraft I have ever witnessed. In all I saw/video taped around 20-25 of these at first bright glowing objects that would eventually fade away and be replaced by more almost immediately.

Then within 5 minutes, getting back in our vehicle and only traveling to our home to park, which was one block away, we notice another one coming from the same direction the first came from, it looked exactly the same and took the same path as the first one.

Noticed 2 bright red lights in the sky. One appeared to be moving towards us and the other seemed to be stationary. The stationary object was a very bright reddish orange color, the other appeared to be red. They were very bright and almost looked like there was fire inside of them.

The stationary object started moving to the right and closer to us about the same time the one that was initially moving started gaining altitude and eventually disappeared.

Then we saw a third light that looked to be shot off the ground and to the left, gaining altitude very quickly..it initially looked yellow but when it got up close to the other it appeared to be the same red/orange color.

They both started moving to the right, gaining altitude and disappeared.

Disk Shaped Object Observed in Storm Cloud Formation Over Norfolk, Virginia

strange gray disk shaped object flying east to west in storm cloud formation above Norfolk, Virginia. The object made no sound. No severe weather occurred. The object appeared to be intelligently controlled due to the motion and erratic pattern and the fact that the object moved up, straight and up into the clouds. I had the feeling the object or UFO was trying to avoid being seen as it consistently maneuvered into the cloud formation. This object was observed from a moving vehicle (Car), Sunday September 9, 2012 between the hours of 2:30 pm-3:00 pm, sunday September 9, 2012.

At approximately 20:15 Eastern Standard Time I was driving with my Son in a northward direction and at the intersection of Abingdon Circle and Chesapeake Blvd. At about 40 degrees in the air directly in front of us we saw a dark cylindrical object moving from our right to left. The object had 5 even lights horizontally with a sudden giant flash of green light changing into pink and the object transformed into a triangular shape and disappeared. The entire event was approximately 2 seconds.

Was taking my dog out and saw a v-formation overhead a few hundred feet up. At first I thought that it was a classic geese or duck flying formation as one of the sides even seemed to collapse momentarily. The factors which changed my mind was that there seemed to be lights coming off of the formation. There was absolutely no noise coming from this object on a perfectly quiet morning. There was a good southerly tail wind that morning and the object seemed to pick up speed as I continued watching it.

Bright and super fast spot of light traveled 45 deg and then right straight up in the sky

I was walking out of the Naval Exchange store on the approximate date of Dec 20, 2011, around 8 pm at night and i looked up in the Southern sky and saw a very bright light travel from left to right at a 45 degree angle (lower to higher). Then it went straight up at very fast rate of speed and disappeared. There was no stoppage from moving 45 deg to going straight up. It appeared as a very bright light off in the distance

There is a large Naval Airfield and USAF base in the area but I worked on Navy jet aircraft and spent my whole life in the aviation world and i have never seen anything travel this fast and make such a angular turn. And it didnt fit in any aircraft traffic pattern for the bases and it was for sure not a flare.

As i said before i know aircraft very well and spend a lot of time in the aviation world and this event left me shaken that night. Havent seen anything like it since.

July 31 @ approximately 10 and 10:30 pm watching the night sky and saw two separate balls of light very large streak across the sky. I have a great binocular that are for viewing the sky at night but this I saw with my own eyes. My husband didn’t see either event.

I also am wondering what a satellite looks like because there was an object I saw with the binoculars that had a light in the middle nine lights on either side with bright lights emanating out of the end lights like a flash light and three lights on the outside centered with the middle light.

Is this a satellite? I can’t be sure but the two balls of light streaking across the sky came from that direction.

Plus does the satellite stay stationary?

I put together a diagram but the light is emitted from the longer rows of lights outward and the middle light was more of a blue smaller light. It was stationary for most of the night. But balls of light streaking from that direction happened quickly.

Not sure if it came from this object.

More that one siting over the last five years.

I already reported this under another shape. I saw two fireballs glide by and there was no pyrotechs around. It happened at 10 and 10:30. We have had several things happen overhead and I was concentrating on the structure in the sky it had nine lights on either side with the end lights shining at an angle then in the center three lights of the nine there were lights beside it and inside those three center lights was a single light with more of a blue color hue. I was looking at that for a few hours it was overhead and I questioned whether it was a satellite. But last winter we had a circle made in the snow in our backyard. My husband woke up and looked out into the yard and I tried to take pictures and a video. I just got some of it on film. A few years ago I had a ball of energy move from my bathroom into my hallway and hovered there. It was energy moving inside itself like balls of light that stretched and moved into each other and hovered ther! e looking at me. It was crazy because I thought to myself I am not going to follow you because I don't want to die. I felt it knew what I was thinking. A few years earlier I saw a cigar shaped UFO and was told it could have been an experimental rocket. I don't think so because it was flying over a populated area and had no fins and changed direction. A few years before that I saw a sphere with a military plane directly above it. I know something is going on out there.

Two daytime sightings of two different types of objects in the same general area 12 days apart.

The last week of June I saw what looked like a party Gift balloon floating across the sky from west to east. It was alternating from red to gold and silver. There was no sound and it did not rise as a helium balloon would. Afterwards I realized it was taveling in a crosswind south to north unaffected. The 2nd week of June I saw 2 white lights come together from different directions do a little dance (as they say) and take off in different directions. 1 went due North and the other went due East. Neither of these were very fast moving, just steady.

lights in my home that seemed intelligent and not a ghost

I had previously seen A UFO either last year over the house next door which was reported and investigated. Earlier this month I am not sure of the exact date I was cleaning my kitchen island and happened to look down my hall.

I saw this light. I wouldn’t call it a ball of light. I would say it was like large sausage shaped lights entwined into each other it was a sunny day and my hallway is dark it came from my bathroom, I would not say it floated it seemed to have a motion like the sausage lights were moving within the shape of a rounded off cube. There were no hard edges and the lights within the shape moved as it was going from one room to the next.

At first thought I thought it was bluish lights on some of these sausage shapes and some were perfectly white. Luminescent. It seemed to hover for a second and I had a strange feeling it was intelligent.

I know that people are starting to think I am crazy. That is okay by me. I just know that someone out there has seen something like this.

I have also had some crazy stuff happening at home. Something said something in my ear while I was lying down. My dog who was beside me heard it and started to bark like there was someone in the room. It was loud and I could feel it down my ear canal. I have been researching to see if someone had died in this house but I have come up with no explanation.

I think all this started to happen in the last few years when I saw a round object in the day sky go over my backyard. It had a military plane a few hundred feet above it.

My husband was in the living room with me when I watched the handle on my sun porch move and the door opened. He heard the handle and went over to check it. No explanation for that either. I am getting scared as I am alone a lot.

I am not crazy. I am just an average person who is an open book and doesn't care if you believe me. But I do think it should be documented.

A FLASH/BEAM OF LIGHT DIRECTLY OVERHEAD IN CLEAR SKY (NO SOUND)

Me and my coworkers were working the night shift in Norfolk, VA, tonight and we stepped outside for a smoke. We were in a small covered gazebo talking and laughing when we witnessed what we thought was a flash of lighting directly overhead (we heard nothing). The weather is of concern to us because we are forecasters so we all stepped out of the covered area to see where the lightning could have come from. There were almost clear skies and no storm clouds in any quadrants. It could not have been lightning. I went inside while to others headed to a lookout above the building where they claimed to have seen a ball of light in the distance take off out of sight in the blink of an eye. I cannot confirm the second part but the first I was there for. About 20 minutes after coming back into the office local news stations from Marland to North Carolina began reporting similar sightings. Some interesting facts that occured just after the incident are millitary aircraft taking off and seemingly patroling the area. I later called the observation tower near the airfielf where I work and asked if they had witnessed anything and the lady said she could not confirm or deny anything at the moment. It seemed by her tone that she had been told to say that for whatever that is worth.

No lights, no trail, no haze around the object, no beams , no change in color, no landing , no sound,

I heard a loud engin sound and didn't see anything in the sky. I kept looking the sound went away and I saw a cigar shaped aircraft with NO WINGS fly from Northeast direction toward the Southeast. The craft was very high but I could clearly see separation between the front half and a dark band and it looked as if the back half was separate but attached sort of like two short cigar shapes made of what I would think of a dull aluminum. There was a large dark band at the rear of the first part. It was really high and I could see it clearly. No wings and it was going what I would think of as slow and I kept the object in my view thinking I could get my cell phone and have enough time to get a picture. I looked down and looked up it was gone it should have been in my view at least 30 seconds more the way it was moving. If it was a plane it wouldn't have been gone that fast. It just didn't seem to move across the sky that fast it was a clear sky. I put my head down and looked back up in a spit second and it was gone. The change in speed was not something a regular plane could have accomplished. Which brings me back to it had no wings! This is the second time I have seen something in the sky from my back yard. I saw a sphere a few years ago around this time of year. Crazy isn't it.

I am just a regular person that believes in God and as God is my witness I saw what doesn't seem to be anything I have ever seen on TV before. I really don't like star wars type of stuff so I don't know if it is something that the movies has copied.

A large, black object crossed a country road at night with two huge, round lights at the back of it.

I was driving through Norfolk, NY, around 11 o'clock and was in an area of farm fields. It was really dark out. All of a sudden something big and even blacker than the night sky came across the road in front of me from my right. My headlights didn't light it up or anything. There were no lights around it so it was just this huge, black thing. I was so startled I said, "Whoa!" and momentarily crossed the dividing line in the road while looking at it. Believe me, I have never done that in my life! As I kept looking out my side window I could make out two huge lights at the back of the black thing. I couldn't get a sense of the shape of this object against the night sky, but it was huge, low, moving steadily, and only had these two huge, round lights on the back end. They had to be the size of plate glass windows. I was really confused because I didn't understand why, if this was a plane, it didn't have the usual lights on it, and why it was flying so darned low. No lights but those two huge lights at the back. I've thought and thought about that night so many times and the thing that really stays with me is the fact that there was no glare from those lights. Even a street light has a glow around it and lights on houses have a kind of glow around them from the distance. These lights didn't have a glow like they were an exhaust. You couldn't see anything but bright white, and the way they were lit made no sense. Why didn't they glow, you know? If it was a plane and those were the tail ends where engine heat should be coming out of, why didn't it appear to be doing that? And why was there no sound? A plane that low would have been noisy. I didn't even notice the thing until it was right overhead in front of me. I've looked online at lots of airplanes since I saw that and I haven't seen the back end of one plane that looks like that thing did. I would have pulled over that night to look at it, but there were two cars a ways behind me and there was not enough space for me ! to get s afely off the road.

It was a ball of opal or white with a little pink and green sheen to it. Not metal. No sound and it was pretty close to a plane.

I was looking up in the sky and I saw what looked to me (I am not trained) a military jet and just beneath it I saw what looked like a white/opal/colored sphere. It was going pretty fast.

At first I thought it may have been a weather balloon but after much thought it was moving much too fast for that. crazy don't you think? I never believed in UFO's. Made fun of people that did. Maybe it was something that the military is working on????

Norfolk UFO watches a storm?

UFO witness report Wednesday, July 27th 2005 Norfolk, Virginia USA 9:00 PM Oh how I love storm watching. The rumbling thunder and spectacular lightshows, to the pouring rain and endless candlelit games of charades during power outages. On the evening of July 27th, 2005 at approximately 9:00pm, my girlfriend and I witnessed an object flying that was, and remains, unidentified. Was its purpose to view the storm, or for the storm to help view it.

The anticipation of an ending record breaking “heat wave” had been felt all day. Finally these 100+ degree daytime highs were going to be crushed by a cold front, resulting in large, severe thunderstorms. In fact, weather reports earlier in the day were claiming that the huge ban of thunderstorms (from Texas to New England) were producing wind gusts up to 60mph, and large hail stones. As soon as I heard the emergency broadcast alerts by means of television, I knew it was coming.

After a few rumbles of thunder were heard, I decided to head outside to spectate. It was about 8:45pm and the sun was set, yet there was still a shimmer of light in western sky coming through the clouds of the oncoming storm. I sat in my usual spot on the deck steps. Our deck is roofed which provides excellent storm watching without getting wet. My eyes were wondering back and forth between my 11mo old puppy playing in the yard and the inconsistent flashes of lightning reflecting off neighboring houses. As I looked to my right, I noticed a bright star in between two parallel power lines from my vantage point. It flickered violently between white and amber colors, just as a star rapidly twinkles in the distance…the object didn’t appear to be moving at all and I thought to myself, maybe this is a planet because it seems much larger than even the largest, brightest star. So there I was trying to decipher the object and realized that whatever it was seemed to be under the veil of storm clouds. There was no clear patch in the clouds to peek at the humbling vastness of space. So as I watched this mysterious light in the sky, it became clear that it was moving. I performed many visual tests with stationary objects (power lines) to make sure the object was moving. This went on for about two minutes before I decided to ask my girlfriends opinion and grab my video camera. I began recording for a total of 6 minutes. The glowing object ever so slowly hovers to my east and descends. There was approximately 4 more min of viewing before the object descends below the treeline and out of view. That are not in this footage. As far as the objects actual size and distance I have no idea. At approximately 9:45 pm I decided to call the non-emergency line of one of the Norfolk police depts. I asked the officer (or whomever answered my call) if there had been any reports of unidentified flying objects in the area within the past hour or so. He said not at that particular station, but inquired about my sighting. I explained and his response was that a logical explanation was that there is always a high amount of helicopter traffic from local tv stations etc in the area. I thanked the man for his time and hung up. This object was NOT an airplane (although Norfolk International Airport is within about 7 miles from my location). The object was definitely NOT a helicopter (my sister flies CH-46 helicopters for the navy and my father is a retired commander). There were no signs of any flashing beacons. The object was NOT a star or planet due to its movement and location under the clouds. I am not 100% sure on the following topic of balls of light appearing in storms due to the electrically charged atmosphere so I cant rule it out. More personal research will tell. Here is a video capture in mpeg format from the original, non duplicated hi-8 sony video camera tape. The transfer appears darker than the original tape, but I didn’t want to edit the picture quality in any way. The only editing done is a layer of text with date time location and my name. The most exhilarating image however appears when I took a still photo of the image during the illumination of a lightning flash. I challenge all of you to dissect this footage with my full cooperation to help in ANY WAY NECESSARY. I was privileged to witness this event and hope this footage can provide some stepping stone closer to truth.

I was outside cutting the grass and cut of the lawn mower and went over to my porch and got something to drink. I looked up to see if there wee any clouds on the sky and noticed a disk shaped object it stayed there for about 2-4 minutes. I stood up and it began to go up and then all of a sudden it just shot straight up out of sight.

glowing needle over norfolk va

my 3 year old daughter is the one who noticed it. it was so high in the sky that i would have never noticed it. the sky was clear there was a rainbow on the opposite side of the sky. i was in a parking lot, and was going to grab someone to show them but thought its so high if i point they may not notice it, so i just stared at it in amazement. i asked my daughter what she thought it was.. her responce "its like a little tinker bell" my description.. i was so high it was like a glowing white needle flying thought the sky.. (i picked cigar as a shape but it was more like a needle?) i watched it till it was so far my eye couldnt see it any more...i sort of forgot about it.. till i was watching tv and saw some ufo special and they showed video tape of a craft some guy recorded over colorodo, and it looked just like what i saw...oh and a regular airplane flew by and it gave me a better feeling of how high it was....

three crafts viewed appearing and reappearing at a rapid pace

My husband and I witnessed an extremely bright light sw of our home on the horizon. As we watched it vanished...reappearing horizontally several miles from origin almost instantly. It then disappeared and reappeared with another back at original location. As quickly as it they both appeared they vanished reappearing only seconds later with yet another in a triangle shape...they hovered and seem to circle each other than vanished.This following the events of the prior night, when my son was woken by a bright light in his window. When he peered into the brightly moon lit sky he distinctly saw a triagle shaped craft with red, white and blue lights that changed to red, yellow, and green. The craft fluxuated back and forth coming closer and nearly disappearing from sight. The craft shift rapedly then vanished.

Silent Red V/Chevron of 6-7 lights over Norfolk, VA during Leonids.

i was up watching the leonid meteor shower. a neighbor was out as well. while looking up, i saw a V shaped series of red lights, numbering around 6 or 7. it traveled southeast, and made no sound. the size of it is difficult to approximate, as i couldn't really tell how high it was. but i remember that there was no sound, and that i thought it was an airplane at first. it was moving across the sky fast enough to make me think that it was a low-flying aircraft, but the fact that there was no sound struck me as odd. as i realized that it wasn't a plane, i pointed it out to my neighbor, who saw the same thing.

at one point in the middle of the observation, it appeared as if the lights _moved_. i mean the points that made up the V seemed to move to the center, then back to the original V formation. i'm not sure if they actually did move, but the pattern of lights seemed to change. this occurred over the span of a second or two-- very quickly.

AS I WAS WALKING FROM MY CAR TO THE SHIP LASTNIGHT, I NOTICED AN OBJECT IN THE SKY.

BEING USE TO THE AIR TRAFFIC ON BASE, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A PLANE PASSING BY.

BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE OBJECT, I NOTICED HOW THE LIGHTS WERE POSITIONED.

INSTEAD OF THE LIGHTS BEING ON EACH END OF THE CRAFT, THEY WERE LINED UP SIDE BY SIDE. MULTIPLE COLORS SUCH AS RED, GREEN, YELLOW, AND ORANGE.

IT WAS STRANGE TO ME AT FIRST, BUT I KIND OF THOUGHT IT WAS PROBABLY A HARRIER.

IT ENTERED INTO SOME STORM CLOUDS, AND SUDDENLY IT TURNED INTO A BRIGHT RED, BUT IT WAS IN AN OVAL LIKE FLASH.

IT DID NOT COME OUT THE OTHERSIDE OF THE CLOUDS.

I WOULD HAVE SEEN IT IF CHANGED COURSE, BECAUSE THE BASE IS HUGE.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT? I DIDN'T TELL ANY HIGHER UPS ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I'M NOT CRAZY!

White Capsule (pill) shaped object, low altitude, slow speed, no sound

It was 5:30pm CST Sunday. My girlfriend saw something in the sky and I turned to look. It was capsule shaped (like a pill). I thought it may have been a hot air baloon, but there was no cabin,no engine, ailerons, external devices etc. About the size of a bus, white, traveling approx 120-150 mph heading directly north. Altitude approx 1,000' AGL. No engine sound or other, no vapor trails. It was moving in conjunction and just in front (by a couple hours) of a cold front which lasted about a week. I noticed that local residents, including my baby developed cold symptoms for about a week.

Dim star that moved sharply, and intentionally

At approximately 3:15AM on a spring morning, in 1998, I stepped outside from my assigned housing unit at Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Norfolk to have a cigarette. I looked straight up, because the facility is well lighted, both inside and out, making star gazing less than spectacular.

I happened to focus on what I believed to be two ordinary stationary stars. One star was of medium brightness, and the other star, at the 3:00 o'clock position, was very dim, just half as bright, and about the distance of a quarter held at arms lenght from the other star.

Suddenly, the dim star, just a speck of light, made sharp, angular manuevers, all within close proximity to the other star. I remember exclaiming to myself "holy mackerel, that thing is moving".

I nearly ran inside to get my work partner, but I was afraid to lose track of it, so I just kept watching. Then the pin prick of light made a circular move, which brought it to the opposite side of the stationary star, to the 9:00 o'clock position. These moves only lasted 4 to 5 seconds, maybe a moment more or less. It hesitated for a split second, and then headed south.

I had the presense of mind to start counting: one-one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thousand, four-one thousand, five-one thousand, six-one thousand, gone!!! over the southern horizon, where I lost sight of it at about 15 degrees over the horizon.

This speck of light had no sound and no tail. It never flared brighter or dimmer. This speck of light, which I perceived to be very high in the atmosphere, crossed half the night sky in six seconds!! It did not blink.

After making its manuevers and going south it did not accelerate, but simlpy arrived at its intended speed and went absolutely straight.

This once in a lifetime observation has annoyed me since it happened and I'm pleased to report it. I have since retired from that line of work. I look forward to spending many pleasant summer nights observing the the night sky and watching for stars moving in ways that neither the stars or our known military craft should be able to do. Was getting out of my truck on Boissevain Avenue in Norfolk, Va. and was facing North when the event occured. Saw the brightest object I have ever seen in the sky except for the sun. It was a bright green fireball with a tail that was extremely long of the same color. I have seen many meteors/meteorites in my 50 years but never anything to equal this. It was a dark evening and I was on a well lit city street. Will send you a sketch if desired.

800 foot wide Boomerang shaped UFO floats over head at treetop level, with humming sound-next to Norfolk NAB, Virginia

I have been told to inform you that Art Bell's two "Radio Blackouts" on March 13, were in commemoration of the the "Phoenix Lights" on 3/13/97 and in honor of the night that Nikola Tesla's Lab in NEW YORK was Blown up on March 13, 1895 at 2AM!- the exact time that his radio went out. On the evening of March 12, 1997, I went to visit a friend and former neighbor of mine from ODU college. He lived in a one story ranch at the end of Rogers Avenue, in the Glenwood Park section of Norfolk, VA. Glenwood Park is a small rectangular shaped residential neighborhood, approximately 5 blocks by 5 blocks situated inside a residential section of the Norfolk Naval Base. A street level maps shows quite clearly that this neighborhood is surrounded on all sides by what is collectively referred to as the "Norfolk Naval Base" or just NAB by locals. IN clockwise direction, to the South of Glenwood Park is all Navy Housing, to the west is the Norfolk International Terminals, to the North is Norfolk Naval Air Station, one of whose major runs parrallel and just to the north east of Glenwood park about a 2,000 yds away. Also just north east of Glenwood is the home of the US Atlantic Fleet, complete with ballastic and attack submarines, Arleigh Burke class destroyers, and usually a few Aircraft carriers and their support craft. To say that the area I was in was a "military area" is an understatement, for the Hampton Roads Area has over 250,000 active duty personel, which makes this area, in effect, collectively, the largest military base in the country. (USA) At any rate, at approximatley 9pm EST, while flipping through the basletball games of the "March Madeness" basketball season, in which ODU was playing a major game, my friend (Tommy) not his real name, told me his father who lived next door, was having some plumbing problems. I was a plumber at the time for national plumbing company, and told him that I could help his dad out. I didn't have any buiness cards in my wallet so I walked outside to my service truck which was parked nearby, to get some cards. I dug through my messy paperwork and finally found a few cards and began walking back to my friends house along a 30 foot long path towards a small 3 step concrete porch before entering his door. As I walked along the path, towards my right hand- upper right about 45 degrees from the horizon level, I could see the constellation of Orion with its three stars, AL nitak, Al mintak, and Al- whatever it called, shining very brightly. I could not see the moon, (it was close to a New Moon) the temperature was probably about 40 degrees F and the sky was crystal clear with no clouds visible. Humidity was normal to below normal, and the air was crisp. As I walked The Path, I noticed that "something" was catching my eye and I felt distracted by something. I kept walking, and as I walked I glanced up again at Orion's Belt. My attention was drawn to the area in between the first star on the left of Orion's Belt and the star Sirius which is directly to the east of it. I'm not sure why I looked up there...but my my peripheral vision was catching something moving and I strained to see something, but I didn't know what... So I kept walking up the path and by the time I got to the first step of the porch I looked up again briefly at Orion's Belt and noticed something odd. As I began to walk up the three steps of the Porch, I kept my eyes fixed on Orion's Belt. Something had passed in front of the left star of Orion's Belt blocking out the starlight. "That's Odd" I said to myslef, because as a Former Civil Air Patrol "spotter", I have been on many flights in small cessna 152's and Piper's and knew from experience that any aircraft in this area of NAB would have to have their FAA approved Anti-Collision Lights on at night. Moreover, I also knew from experience that any craft traveling at night, over a military Terminal Control Area (TCA) wihtout lights on, near the final approach vector of its major East-West...would certainly lose his license to fly...in a heartbeat.. Intrigued, I paused at the top step of the porch to wait and see if this idiot pilot would turn on his running lights. I waited for the white random flash in the middle if the craft with red on left (port side) and green on right side (starboard) indicating its presence in the nights sky. Just as soon as that thought passed in my head, I saw the middle star of Orion's belt blink out, as if the craft had passed in front of it...passing as it were from the left of Orion's belt straight across and in front of the middle star of Orion's Belt and the then on to pass in front of the third star on the right...blinked out...all in succession....like One-Thousand, Two- Thousand, Three- Thousand. "This guy's screwed" I say to myslef thinking of how much trouble he's in, (or she, not to offend any woman pilots) when my eyes adjust enough so that I can now see that the dark object is some kind of huge flying wing or boomerang shaped object. "A B-2 Bomber!" I say to myself? Then I say, there aren't any B-2's stationed here? Just as my eyes were able to focus on the craft (with no lights on it whatsoever) It initiated some type of maneuver and I lost it for a few seconds. I took this moment to look at my watch...and as far as I can remember it was 9:08:00 pm EST. From that point on my recollection of how time passes is very bad. I lost the craft for anywhere from 3 seconds to maybe as much as 20 seconds....I'm not real sure. When I first saw the craft, as it passed in front of Orions belt stars, it was approxiamtely 3-4 inches, wingtip to wintip as measured from my face to my outstretched index finger. The shape of the craft was a "boomerang configuration". Some might call this a "chevron" configuration...but I think that describes something more like a carpenters square than what I saw...the bend in the middle, the Dihedral, was only about 5 or ten degrees maximum, meaning that the boomerang shape was only slightly bent in the middle, not 90, or 45 degrees, but much less. Ok, so when I first saw this thing, I had absolutely nothing to gage its height by. I automatically assumed that it was a B-2, not just because its shape resembled a "Flying Wiing" but because I couldn't hear any engines. So I assumed that it had to be a B-2..... As I was pondering all this in the brief period when I "lost" it against the night sky, I got the overall sensation that it was performing some sort of "maneuver", another thought popped into my head... I thought to myslef, "Maybe it's the Navy Seals!". Yeah that's it, it's the Navy seals on a hang glider on a stealth mission...like that scene from "Escape from New York" and I thought to myself "they are training for a mock take-down of NAB! this is cool, I 'm gonna watch this! Just as I had convinced myself that this thing was not a B-2 and had to be a hang glider, because there was no sound, I noticed something coming over the treetops to my left hand side. (southwest). My dad was in the Army and I remember him always telling that if you want the best visual acuity at night, you don't look directly at an object, you constantly move your focus "around" whatever object your trying to look at, this keeps your rods and cones replenished. The reason for this added detail is because, I got the impression that the craft made some type of maneuver to fall from its original position which had to be 6-10 angels high. It moved so fast that I totally lost it from my vision, even though I was looking right at it...I didn't pick it up again until it was about 20 feet above treetop level and about 100-150 yards away! What I'm trying to say is that I don't know whether this craft "fell" from its first position or "dematerialized" and then rematerialized over the treetops...because as I was trying to explain before...I changed my viewing from looking directly at it to focusing around it and it just sort of "materialized"...I don't know if it was because of the way I changed my focus on it (night Vision) or if it really did "Demateraialize" and then "Rematerialize", but my gut feeling at the time was that it did some type of rapid circling maneuver, like when you took the seed pods of maple trees and threw them in the air, we called them, "helocopters" and played with them, they would fall and spin on a central axis while spinning rapidly...I am aware of the brains ability to "fill-in" areas where it does note have enough data to form an opinion, I call it projection, I'm sure some psychologist out there has a name for it. It may have done both or just did a super tight, super fast, "helicopter" maneveur, I'm just not sure. Having flown right seat in cessnas and pipers and having flown hang gliders at Kitty Hawk quite a few times, this intrigued me, because if it was a hang glider, it would explain why it was so silent, but there is no way a hang glider can drop 6000 feet in just a few seconds, without having a catostrophic failure! Hang gliders can drop very fast and silently, but their center of gravity is such that it always seeks the horizon, I just can't imagine a hang glider going straight down like that, unless it had a catastrophic failure, but these thoughts were all muted in a few seconds as It grew closer... So after it made this falling maneuver, it was now situated approximately 200-300 yards away to my left, at about 200 ft ASL or just above treetop level. The craft is moving quite slow now and I am just starting to get a glimpse of its shape, which has changed, not because it actually changed shape, but just because I was now looking at would have been it's right "wing tip" from a position that was in front of and to the right and below the craft. Now the craft, instead of "appearing" like a boomerang, now looks like.... A saucer? I say to myself? No how the hell it went from Boomerang to Saucer shape was beyond me.... AS it grew closer to my position I could see that it had some type of dome shape on the bottom of the side I was looking at. (At the exact time of this angle of view from my perspective I thought it looked like some sort of Dome or oblong shaped Craft...) Ok now I'm standing at the End of Rogers Ave which runs nearly exactly East West and I am at its most Eastern part. The Craft is travelling From due south to North, without any deviation, except for whatever maneveur it made to fall in height. It was just as if I was on a parade stand and this craft falls from the sky and silently floats in front of me going from my left view to my right and out of sight.... But at this time the UFO is now directly in front of me. Rogers Ave is about 5 blocks or approx 2000ft long and lined with yellowish High Pressure Sodium Streetlights. Rogers ave, from my position is exactly perpendicular to me, meaning that it is forming a right angle 90 degrees from my viewpoint. To be more descriptive draw an upside down T and I am at the position of where the Bottom and top of the T intersect, looking down the vertical part of the T. Also important to remember is that this was March and the trees that year hadn't quite bloomed yet, and there were many trees in the nieghborhood and along Rogers ave, so at times during the sighting, the craft was behind the branches. In my original report to MUFON VA I said I thought it had some type of antenna on top of it, but after going back to the sight a year later at the same date, I quite clearly mistook the branches for an antenna. As it got to a point where it seemed to hover over the streetlights I was looking at the craft directly through it's right side. From this perspective it actually appeared to be classic Saucer shape with a rectangular body, with smooth corners and dome on the bottom! But just as my brain was trying to tell me it was a Sacucer, I noticed that the craft seemed to slow down and seemed to almost stop, directly above the streetlights. As it did slow down the right tip seemed to dip down a little as the left tip seemed to yaw to the right, like a conventional plane would do in a turn, but the difference is this thing was nearly at a hover, less than a stone's thro away trtavleing at most 1-5 mph....I knew it wasn't a hang glider or B-2 or anythign like that at all... Right around this moment I noticed that I could "feel" a very low frequency hum, a frequency that sounds much like an eighteen wheel truck in the distance on a deserted hwy, the way you hear it is like a long drawn out huuuuummmmm.....huuuuuuummmmmt. The biggest difference is that I seemed to "feel" this not necessarily "hear" it. Realizing that this was an extraordinary event, I tried to shout out my friends name who was only 20 feet from me through that door...but only a whisper seemed to come out....thinking I had lost my nerve I took a quick breath and shouted again....but nothing came out.....in a panic, I took a really deep breath and exhaled a shout that my mother could have heard 600 miles away....I felt my lungs contract, my throat muscles contract, my tongue moving and breath exhaling....but not a whisper came out! Truly terrified now, I just stood there transfixed on the craft as it seemed to hover over the streetlights and as it did so its right front and right bottom wingtip had the amber colored lights off the HPS streetlights illuminating it. It was at this point that its shape and form were very clear and defined. From my perspective the craft appeared to be approximately 30 or 40 feet from front to back. About 20-30 feet high and ...well at that time I hadn't seen it from any perspective that I could gage its length-wing-tip to wing-tip yet. It most definately had a dome about 15-20 feet wide which protruded down from under its right wing-tip about 5 feet at most. I could also see the outline of another dome on the left under belly of the left wingtip. The right front or leading edge of the wingtip was essentially a vertical surface as was the rear leading edge, but I don't want to confuse the reader into thinking that this craft actually had any laminar flow. The top and bottom edges of the craft were rounded like the Quarter round mold on your floor. In general it was an immense rectangular cross section, boomerang shaped craft with rounded smooth radius edges with no other protrusions or lights or windows or whatever, just perfectly smooth as if it had been injection molded out of a high temperature ceramic composite. The color of the craft resembled what I would best describe as a Black-Bluish. It blended so well with the night sky it was almost impossible to see unless you were looking right at it. You probably could have been sitting right under it, looking stright up at it and the glare of thelights would totall block your view...you wouldn't even know it was there! I have a some Engineering experience and I would say that it most likely resembled a Metallic flame spread coating, whereby metal powder is heated and melted in situ as it is applied to a substrate. This gave the skin of the craft a texture which made it appear from a distance to almost be pourous, like a lava rock or something of that sort but much smoother. It fit in with the sky so well that I think you could have been driving right under this thing and if you werent looking directly at it, you would go right by.... Of course by this time it was apperent that it was not any type of "Air" craft. The "wings" were 20 feet thick, there was no chance for the wings to produce any laminar flow whatsoever and without laminar flow and the Bernoulli principle, you can't produce lift, there were no jet engines, no jet exhaust hitting the trees and moving branches, nothing at all just that all invasive humming. After it did its little slow down and tilt, it then seemed to regain its bearing and slowly began to move a little faster and straighten out its flight path continuuing on its northward path and gently, quietly passing over the homes in that area before I lost it over the horizon. But this was probably the most awe inspiring thing of the whole event for me, because now I had a third perspective from which to gage its true wing tip to wing tip size or length....and I was completely dumbfounded by what I saw.... Before my eyes was a craft that had to be no less 800 feet from wingtip to wingtip. To give the reader some perspective of it's shear size, a 747 looking at it head on is about 187 to 200 feet in length, so if you took 3- 747's and laid them tip to tip they still wouldn't be long enough to match the size of this thing. It was so long that I couldn't focus my eyes on one part of the craft and still be able to see the rest of it....from 2000 yards away! I actually had to move my whole head to scan its size from left tip to the middle and then all the way back over to the right where a tree got in the way! One side of the craft was on the right side of tree and the left part on the left side of tree with 20 feet of branches in between! One more thing, on the back of the craft there was some sort of "line" which ran parallel to the body of the craft. In other words it looked like a rectangle within a rectangle. In retrospect it must have been a protrusion of a few feet out because it was passing over a huge playing field and the lights which illuminated it were now coming from an angle which would could only have made the shadow line I saw if something was protoding as opposed to recess within the crafts structure. Also when viewing craft from the rear, I could see that there were three domes on the bottom of the craft, one on each tip and one in the middle. The next day I searched every paper and news item...but I heard nothing. I thought that I was the only person in the world who saw this thing. Then on July 4, 1997 the SCI FI channel did a special on the 50th anniversary of the Roswell crash...and at the end Jonathan Frakes says, "and in Phoenix Az, on March 13, 1997 Strange lights were seen.…" You have no idea how nuts I went, my roomate thought I was losing it...Now here I was, with proof that others saw exactly what I saw, but only they were 1000 miles away and it was the next night! This began a 4 year quest to find out the truth, the disinfomation, and meaning behind my event. I reported my sighting to MUFON....but they weren't much help at all...I am hoping that posting on this agency will encourage others who know the TRUTH about 3/13 to come forward about this and other sightings in the Hampton Roads Area....I have more information about this sighting for those interested contact Peter Davenport.

My dad Lcdr Lund said it was real later in my life, this was a Navy Secret.

I was 11 years old me and my parents, my late dad was a U.S. Navy Commander we were coming from a grocery store and the radio in the car the dj said a strange object was over Tidewater Va.

We arrived home and looked up at the sky with neighbors and sure enough a UFO was stationary. Ninety min later in moved east over the Atlantic Ocean. I was a small boy and I was very frightened.

Unidentified Object Hovering over Interstate 264, Norfolk, Virginia

I was driving to work on 7 February 2007, from Virginia Beach to Norfolk Virginia. As I was driving, coming close to my exit (Interstate 564).

As I was driving, this bright flourescent light in the sky caught my attention. As I continue to drive, I observed this object in the sky. I could not stop, because I was in the far left lane, and traffic was heavy that morning.

At first, I thought it was a helicopter, shining it searchlight, but this flourescent light was too soft (I wasn't blinded by it). This light shone exactly like a strobing light, but no flicker was present when it caught my attention in the sky. This object appeared to be a long cylinder (cigar shaped).

As I continue to drive and look at the flourescent light, it was very soft to my eyes. I also caught a glimpse of a red light under the belly of the object (center of the object). I tried to determine if this was a helicopter, but I would know if this was a helicopter by the sound they make, but this object produced no sound.

It maintain it stationery position for at least 1.5 minutes before I had to exit Interstate 264. I tried to see if the object from Interstate 564, but wasn't able to see the object anymore from my new position.
