Light moving oddly in sky

My son noticed this light moving up and down unlike any normal lights you see in the night sky. You can tell from video that it isn’t a satellite & it isn’t a plane , or a shooting star. When watching video it looks like it’s coming down from the bright star you see, and he follows it with camera as it moves across sky. I saw something just like it the week before however I didn’t have phone/camera on me at time.

A round ball of light whizzed past me in the early morning

I was walking my dog on Main St. Port Jefferson, NY on this date. A clear early morning illuminated by a very bright full moon.
I was across the street from the quiet ferry terminal and at the edge of the LI Sound.

A white ball of light flew from west to east over my right shoulder. It was at a low altitude and may have been climbing?
It seemed to break into 3rds and disintegrated or simply vanished.

I heard a faraway sizzling sound which led me to believe it may be space junk or a chunk of rock?
It was not a flare & had no trail. It was at least as big as a bowling ball but hard to judge in such a short time.

UFO Second occurrence on Long Island NY in SAME/CLOSE TOWN HAPPENED SAME DATE roughly same time evening 1 month apart

LAST MONTH in the TOWN OVER I looked at my camera and I saw 20 UFO with 3 witnesses involved. THIS INCIDENT was one town over in the Homegoods/DOllar Tree shopping center and it happened on the EXACT date 2 hours apart from my first report. (Not sure if I reported it here but to Muffon also) We were alking tom y car and I looked up at 6:00PM EST and there were similar lights spinning and dancing in the sky. When I came home and replayed the video there is actually one of them that cam eout of formation and was in the parking lot. It was moving almost at the speed of light so couldnt see it with naked eye with y camera but when I pause the video and zoom in the light in the parking lot dancing in front of us only feet away because it was actually in FRONT of the Dollar Treet sign and then takes off of the screen. Then....comes back and as I am pausing the video it is moving and dancing just like the few in the sky but it is RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and it was fol! lowing my path almost like it was playing with my as I walked toward my car and toward the sky where they were flying away. THe movements were TOO QUICK TO SEE WITH THE NAKED EYE. I was only seeing the ones in the sky when I was filming it. FUrther, in person we were saying OMG they are like an orangey yellow and on my video they are ONLY WHITE. In person, they were orangey yellow in the sky. Looked like little fire streaks. Twisting and dancing in the sky.

Saw about ten bright orange red colored fireball lights in the sky over the harbor that hovered there for about 15 mins before dusappea

We saw a line of orange red fireball shaped objects over the harbor in port Jefferson. Then the objects huddled together and hovered. There was no aircraft sounds. Then the crafts or bright lights as they appeared went into a V shaped formation and all of a sudden they disapated and went straight up so quickly that they became tiny red dots and disappeared. The whole incident lasted about 15 minutes.

Saw what appeared to be a shooting star that just continuously kept moving through the sky slowly, twice.

We witnessed a very clear sky tonight after fireworks and saw (twice) what appeared to come out of nowhere circle in the sky - very similar in size and brightness to that of a star.

This same occurrence happened twice, one not too long after the other, though we did not see both dots moving through the sky in synchrony.

Each glowing circle moved across the sky in curved and non-linear formations, both at separate occurring times.

We debated for a while if either could be a plane, but they were not blinking at rather very strong fixed light sources moving in ways quite adverse to what I've witnessed as regular flight patterns.

Each circle would move through the sky appearing out of nowhere/we just noticed it? /seeming like a shooting star, however, it did not burn out and would continuously move across the sky until we were straining our eyes to try and watch it and then it would disappear.

We did feel we saw a significantly larger number of planes tonight as well, though I'm quite sure that just happened to be a separate weird thing.

Orange circular type object flying smoothly over the nightime sky in Port Jefferson Station, NY.

An orange shaped circular object appeared through our 2nd story front window. Object was moving in a steady line across the sky. The orange color, and lack of flashing lights caught my attention.

I pointed the object out to my husband and son and we proceeded to run outside. The object had no sound, and moved very smoothly coming from the east and heading north/west.

Our home is in direct course to Stony Brook University Hospital's helicopter path, and this was not a helicopter, the height of the object was of the same height as the helicopters fly. Again, no sound at all, while the helicopters are very loud.

Appeared floating than was speeding through the sky suddenly went up at 90 degrees and disappeared.

We were taking a walk, as we turned the corner my girlfriend gasped and said look up. I looked up to see an orange glow floating in the night star filled sky.

After about a minute it started to quickly move across the sky and suddenly started moving up at a 90 degree angle.

We continued as it kind of disappeared for a few seconds than it reappeared at a different location.

Then it suddenly disappeared completely. We noticed that during the sighting, we were near a street lamp that was dimmed.

After the craft disappeared the light came back on.

Glowing orange objects, which you could see were round disk/sphere in shape when glow dimmed completely.

This event happened on the East End of Long Island New York, in the Village of Port Jefferson on 07/04/08. I was with two other friends and we were just talking, while watching cars and motorcycles drive by. It’s a popular hangout spot in town.

First sighting at 10:15 pm, two bright orange balls of light are flying in close formation maybe around 3-5 thousand feet heading from the South. A few people at this point noticed and we all thought it could have been helicopters flying over. Though, I thought it was rather strange for a helicopter to glow bright orange in color. The crafts hovered over for a short period of time, then flew a little farther and in the blink of an eye disappeared straight up into the sky. A gentleman stood by saying “those were definitely not helicopters.

Next sighting at approximately 10:35 pm, this time three bright orange balls of light are flying in close formation from the South. They started to hover at about the same height as the first sighting. No doubt watching what was going on below. These crafts moved up and down in a very speedy fashion, the light would fade as they moved up and would glow brighter as they came down. These were very fast moving objects.

Next, a plane was flying in from the West toward the crafts and at this point at least 50-60 people were pointing up at the sky wondering what in the world the objects were. Moments later at the same time, all three crafts dimmed their lights completely (no light at all). But this time, the objects didn’t disappear into the sky. As they flew by, you could tell without a question of a doubt what the objects were once the glow was gone. They were light gray in color round disks (sphere like), not small from what I could tell (maybe around half the size of a football field). At this point they were moving at a relatively fast cruising speed; one craft flew up ahead while the other two trailed close together but all three in formation. If it matters, they flew over the water and if they continued to fly straight would have ended up somewhere in or near CT.

Without a doubt, the single most surreal experience I’ve ever had (my friends included). These were not planes, helicopters, blimps, weather balloons, fireworks, or any other known object that I could think of.

My one friend took some camera phone photos, but they’re worthless.

About myself, I have an Accounting background (MBA) and work in the lab plastics business. My other friend/witness is a Speech Therapist in a School District and the other works for Allstate Insurance.

I was heading out to my van for some more tools, {contractor by trade} I heard to helicopter flying overhead about two or three o'clock so I took a glance to see what type it was.After viewing the chopper I notice a small dark object over the tree line across the street moving at a high rate of speed. I stopped dead in my tracks and watched as this object move across the tree line and disappeared into the distance heading North east at low altitude. I thought to my self that this object looked so low as if it was going to crash in the distance. I stood there for about three or four minutes just couldn't believe what I just saw. I waited to see If I could here any noise but there was nothing, just a small noise from the distant chopper I had seen earlier.

Dark object at very low altitude traveling at a high rate of speed with no sound.

walking out to my work truck to retrieve some more tools and I heard a helicopter in the sky so I looked up to see what kind it was. After noticing the copter which was at at a pretty low altitude (heading Northwest)I spotted something over the trees across the street (route 347), this object was traveling at a high rate of speed with no sound , all I heard was the distant chopter which was out of sight my now.The object was dark in color and looked like large rock, I saw the object for about 5 to 7 seconds and then it was gone. This object appeared to be traveling in North east direction, right over the heart of up town Port Jefferson Station.

i was driving East on a country road when I noticed a ball of bright light the size of my fist in the sky directly overhead. it turned bright green and arched downward in a ball of white light which turned bright green, arched wesrward and became a rainbow prism and disappeared ! !

I was driving on a country road alone when I noticed a bright ball of light about the size of my fist in the middle of the sky. The ball suddenl turned bright green and swooped off to the west in an arching boomerang shape then it turned into a prism the colors of the rainbow. The next day i talked to two other people who had seen the same thing, One on the SouthShore and one in a neighboring town.

Metallic Disc hovers high over commercial jet traffic.

Thank you for allowing me to file this report of an actual event which took place many years ago....probably late 1960's I was working that Summer as a boy of (11 yrs. old). ...Going up and down a ladder handing construction material to the two older (family members- Father & Grandfather) on the roof. I suddenly spotted a large disc high up in the sky. It was about the quivelent size of a dime...at arms length, and was a bit duller in color...like aluminum....and totally soundless.

I estimated it's altitude later to be at or above about 10,000 feet, because commercial jet traffic enroute to JFK were flying below it. I distinctly remember watching a four-engined Boeing glide well below it, and noting that the object (which was hanging stationary in the sky above it) was nearly half it's size.

I became immediately intrigued with the concept of what it could be, a balloon perhaps?...no..it didnt move like a balloon in the wind should....a planet in daylight?...no, didnt make sense because it was too large, and definately looked like it had metallic structure to it...and I called out to Dad and Grandpa on the roof to take a good look up at it.

After studying it, admittedly very perplexed , for a while...my Dad, suddenly blurted out that it had to be "one of them there damned ufo's that everybody's been talking about"!.....Granddad said nothing,, as I seem to recall, I think he was just totally confused by the sight,,as was I.

We watched that object remain airborne above the jet traffic for nearly an hour, them were distracted long enough to recall that when we finally looked for it again, it was gone.

To this day...35 years later, and a now a lifelong aviation industry veteran, who has worked with many types of aircraft over the years...I simply cannot make sense of what it was that we witnessed that day, in broad daylight...I will tell you that it was no planet, and no vehicle of NASA's, that I'm familiar with....and it was evidently very large, but very high up in the atmosphere....

I fail to believe that no one else would have seen it, let alone reported it back then,,,especially, the pilot's flying in the vicinity of it.

I'm sorry that I must remain anonymus, due to the nature of my profession, but I can tell you that , on that particular day, and on two other occasions, years later (and always with additional witnesses) ..I had seen something truly unidentified and unexplained.
