Saw a slow moving Triangle-shaped craft flying over wooded residential area.

It was late in the night and I was Driving to my friend's house who lives in Fox Wander... a development which is part of the Luthers Forest residential area, (this is located a few miles south of Saratoga lake) I was on the main road in Fox wander. It was still drizzleing and lightning occationally from the round of Brutal thunderstorms we had experience earlier in the day, this included an unconfirmed tornado. The road I was on loops around and comes out on the same road but at a different point. I was heading I would have to guess west. Thats when I saw this grouping of three lights, each light was at the tip of this Triangle thing, The clouds behind it had enought light so I could make out a black triangle shape, the way it maneuveured remindend me of an airplane. But the thing was, it was really low and moving too slow to be able to stay up in the air if an airplane. My car window was slightly cracked and I could hear no sounds except for my car. The object was pretty low and it was inverted and on it's side. So that I could see all the lights on what I presumed to be the underside. I would have to estimate it's Heighth to be about 200' above the ground, and I was looking at it from a shallow angle. I live in Luthers Forest too, we have a government run research site/ installation in Luthers Forest, I wonder if that has anything to do with this, because it's not the first time I've seen a U.F.O near my home. (Or in surrounding area)

BALLSTON LAKE/ MALTA/ BALLSTON SIGHTING, Possible government UFO

I was promted to report this peculiar sighting because of a sighting of a UFO that was posted on the New York nuforc page as the 8/22/03 sighting in Ballston lake.

In that exact area the summer earlier (late June or early July), My friend and I were getting out of my car after comming back from Saratoga. It was approximatley 11 pm, and we were at his house which is situated on the North side of Eastline only about a half a kilometer west of the Sweet Road, Eastline Road intersection. As we walked towards his house I casually glanced over his back yard (facing north). As I scanned the placid and quiet field that expanced an approximate distance of around 300-400 meters between his back porch and the wood line, I first noticed the light that was situated stationary just below the tops of and behind the trees at the forested area which border the edge of his property. At first I thought it was some kind of tower with an affixed light source, most likely a floodlight I assumed since the intensity of the light comming through the trees seemed like it was something like a helicopter searchlight, or some other kind of spotlight. I did not however hear any type of engine noises that would accompany a conventional aircraft at such a close distance... I swear it was so quiet I dont even think there we any animal noises or even car noises for that matter. Being perplexed, I brought the unusual light to my buddie's attention and inquired if that was a normal occurance, he replied he had never seen it before. We stared at it and became even more curious when it appeared to move and then stop MOTIONLESS, then reverse direction, move and stop motionless again to a location that couldn't have been tens of meters from its original location. During it's transverse I saw what looked like the beam of the afor-mentioned light scan through the tops of the trees, now motionless again and still without sound. Thats when we became incredibly exited, we ran to a picnic table close by and stood on top to get a better look. After another few minutes it silently but quickly moved back to its original location, it then rose from behind the tops of the trees. There we could see other less brillient lights located to the right and in line on what appeared to be the physical structure of the craft with the main light still visible as what I will call the "nose of the craft. Although we couldnt make out a definate shape it's structure seemed to change while producing other lights sporatically (it could have been just changing its orientation in relation to us) This is when the UFO semmed to dip it's "nose" Towards the ground and move very rapidly to the south, it then stoped, more like hovered and decended towards the ground around the vacinity of the Sweets Road, Eastline Road intersection. We imediatley jumped into my car to attempt some sort of persuit, but even at 80mph when we reached the estimated "landing site" of whatever this thing was there was absolutley nothing, not even a plane in the sky. We remain clueless.

As an afternote I would like to say there are no airports in the vicinty, or anything capable of supporting aircraft. The area is however, a major conduate for huge powerlines which pass within 100 meters of the sighting location. The region has had other strange sightings in the past especially in and surrounding the saratoga lake area which is also home to a government facility which developed "Space and Energy" Technologies during the cold war. A personal inspection of this area reveals a 6-7 story tall, rusted out rocket gantry (complete with a blast pit) no different from the gemeni launch pads a cape canaveral Florida, and other building/hangar-like structures with paddock areas which appeared to be abandoned. On a personal note, I am finishing up degress in both Geology and History and plan on attending graduate school for geology next year. I am very scientific minded and am not prone to making up stories, I have seen some strange things in the sky before, but this event was truley the strangest.

bright orange-red ball in sky

glowing,red-orange sphere,appearing as though aproaching me, at a very slow speed. It appeared to increase in size as it got nearer. It appeared to have a light shaft emitting from either side shooting downward. Then it stopped motion, and was motionless, and sent a sharp spear-like beam of red-orange light below it toward the earth. It hung there for a couple of seconds, and then moved to the South ( left ) a short distance, dimmed and brightened, moved a short distance further South, then stopped, and then disappeared. I contacted the U.S. AirBase at Malmstrom, Great Falls,MT. and they told me there were no planes or weather balloons in the air at the time. There was no sound from the object in question. Sky was clear, and there was no wind.

Strange triangular light sighting over Northern Montana

As a musician/singer, I had been performing the day before at the VFW club in Malta. The ranch where I was a guest was 30 miles away. So the following evening the 18 yr. old son of my hosts drove me into town to pick up my PA equip. in his truck. Going back to the ranch we had to travel quite slow as these are gravel roads through thousands of acres of cattle/wheat/ect. and my equip. could be damaged. There were no lights anywhere for miles other than the headlights. As we came up a foothill rize, I saw 3 bright lights in the northern sky. I pointed them out to the young man and he freaked. "Wow"!!! he said "My good buddy and I saw lights like these last winter coming home from football practice" We stoppe the truck, turned off the headlights and watched these 3 lights in the form of a triangle move through the sky from west to east... then stationary...then move. When suddenly the lights separated into a line and quickly headed into the handle of the little dipper and each one moved into the exact star pattern and never moved again. We watched for quite some time before heading back to the ranch. This ranch is about 20 miles south of the Canadian border on the "highline". This is only the most recent sighting for me. I've seen 4 before this occasion beginning in 1965 (with many witnesses) over Billings,Mt.

fast moving white light

At 1:00 am EST I was watching a movie at the Malta Drive-IN located on RT 9 3 miles north of RT 67 on the right hand side of the road. The screen tower is situated so that you have to face west to see the screen. While watching the second feature, American Pie, I saw a light about as bright a venus had been a few days ago (brighter than any star and brighter than other passing aircraft - Albany Airport and Schenectady Airport are both nearby) I had seen several aircraft earlier that night on approach to both airports. This object moved faster than any plane I have ever seen. I first thought I was seeing a shooting star, but then noticed something very odd. The object came from my left (south) and headed to my right (north). It was at about the same altitude as the other aircraft had been (1000 ft aprx). The object appeared to be going in a straight line with a slight arc as it crossed from the south to the north. I thought for sure that it was a shooting star because it was moving at incredible speed, but then as it reached the half way point it looked like a slinky would look if you stretched it out. The light became elongated, the compressed to a sigle dot, stopping for a split second, then speeding off again elongating itself once more. I don't know how else to describe what I saw. I have seen UFO story's on TV and in some of the footage I have seen exactly what this object did. I have seen shooting stars and red glowing meteroites and I am sure this was not a meteor or shooting star. The fact that this object went from a single dot to an elongatted shape back to a single dot to an elongated shape again was incredible to see. I had been hearing that Saratoga County had an increase in UFO sightings, but until now I did not take any of it seriously. After what I saw tonight it has become very real for me.
