The object was brightly lit with a large spread out vapor/smoke trail with occasional bright pieces falling behind that lit up the vapor/smoke trail. After object passed an ember like object appeared to be falling to the ground. This was small and the only one I saw. The main object made no noise. The object differed from aircraft in that there was no navigation lights or rotating beacon and the main body of the object was very bright. Also, the vapor pattern spread very wide starting at the object and I would guess was miles long. The vapor was lit up by the object and was harder to see as it got further away from the object. The object passed overhead and appeared to be getting dimmer as it moved off to the northeast. I did not have my phone so I unfortunately have no picture.

We we're sitting by the lake just looking at satellites and stars and saw what appeared to be a rectangular shaped light just appear and it would go off and on at different rates of speed and it would move up and down and then suddenly it just disappeared. It could have been anything I don't know but it was definitely unidentifiable and we have no idea what it was.

Two sequential bright, motionless, silent lights

4/14/2022, about 10:42 pm, Avon, Ohio, backyard: I looked out briefly to check sky conditions, intending to make some astronomical observations if it was clear enough, as I’m a highly experienced amateur astronomer. After identifying several familiar stars in the clear part of the sky (Castor, Pollux, Procyon, Regulus), I happened to look directly overhead, and noticed to my surprise a very bright, pure white “star” that shouldn’t be there. It was at least as bright as Venus but directly overhead. I watched it to determine whether there was any motion, in case it was a satellite or airplane landing light, but there was no motion. After a few seconds (perhaps between 5 and 10 seconds), the light turned yellow and faded out. As it was fading, a second similar light suddenly appeared about 4° to the southwest of the first one, remained on for a shorter time – also a few seconds – and then yellowed and faded out the same way. For a few more seconds, a tiny faint pinpoint of light was visible in each of the two locations, then they too faded out and nothing more was to be seen. I listened intently for a couple of minutes but there was absolutely no sound (and this was on a calm, quiet night) so the lights were not from helicopters or airplanes. In any case, the only way airplane landing lights could be seen from directly underneath would be if an airplane was in a vertical dive; and no navigation lights or other lights ever appeared. I got binoculars and probed the area but nothing further could be seen other than normal background stars; there were no clouds in that part of the sky at the time. I considered the possibility that the objects might have been meteors coming directly at me, but the description did not seem to fit: the lights were the wrong color for meteors (pure white before fading to yellow), there was no trail or apparent motion (as would be expected if meteors were coming almost toward me), they were much brighter than any normal meteor, and they remained visible (especially the first one) several times longer than a meteor takes to appear and then fade out.

Slow moving light over Avon Massachusetts

On my way to work this morning at about 4:30am as I was exiting rt24 exit 19b in Avon Massachusetts I looked up and saw a bright light. As it came into focus it was the shape of a triangle. It appeared to look like it was a triangular shape white neon tube. It was moving very slowly in an Eastern direction. I immediately slowed and observed. As cars built up behind me I continued off the exit ramp and then turned to see if I could see it and it was nowhere to be found. The whole time I was thinking that I needed to take a picture but for some reason there was some block that physically prevented me from doing this. I am disappointed in myself for not overcoming this and getting out the camera. I feel that the inability to get my camera out was the strangest part. I've never felt like that before.

Bright cigar shaped objects with two tails curving toward each other

Costco parking lot: I was waiting in the car when I noticed a couple parked behind me looking at a small streak in the sky through binoculars and discussing what it might be. I got out my binoculars which we keep in the car for wildlife viewing during camping. This object looked like a small bright streak but up close it looked like a point of white light with two thin, curving tails bending toward each other. A few minutes later it was under the horizon (this was around dusk) and a second appeared higher up. It looked exactly the same through the binoculars. It dipped below the horizon after a few more minutes and a third appeared, higher up and seemingly out of nowhere. This time when I used the binoculars I could see blue and red swirls toward the front of this object and again, the same curving white tails. It disappeared within a few minutes, not going below the horizon like the first two but just disappeared where it had been a moment before. I took ph! otos and the objects look cigar shaped, but there was more to them as I described.

Green and Red Ribbon Lights Passing Over My Neighborhood.

We were driving when my wife first observed lights in the sky. She slowed the car and leaned forward looking up through the windshield. She announced what she was seeing and I looked up through the windshield and also observed two lights as they were passing over us. The lights were red and green but and emanated from the same place, not like two separate lights which would be installed on an air plane’s wing tips. These lights gave me an impression that there were on the underside of the craft and were more like a light ribbon instead of distinct bulbs.

The lights passed over us and they were seemed to vary their distance from each other in an almost playful flight pattern. It was difficult to estimate the size of the crafts against the night sky. My best estimate is less than 100 feet at the time of observation. We did not notice any air craft engine noises. I used my cell phone and caught a short video clip of the objects in the North sky as they continued out of our view. The whole incident lasted 2-3 minutes.

Silent cigar-shaped object flying over Avon, Ohio

At approximately 7:45 pm EDT on the evening of July 14, 2019, my wife and I observed a white or dull silver cigar-shaped object move steadily through the sky in a roughly easterly or ENE direction. Remarkably, it had no visible wings, tail, or engines; was producing no contrail; and was utterly silent. By contrast, several ordinary commercial jets that we observed just before or after this object – were all readily audible (even when apparently farther away), had plainly visible wings and engines, and were leaving prominent contrails. Birds that we observed flying overhead at the time had obvious heads and flapping wings, again in contrast to the object in question.

If the object was the size of a medium-sized commercial airliner (hard to tell), I would estimate its distance as about two to three miles away. The weather was clear, the sky blue with a few high cirrus patches, and visibility essentially unlimited. The sun was still brilliantly illuminating everything in the sky, since it was more than an hour before sunset.

I was viewing the object with binoculars, while my wife was viewing it directly without optical aid after I brought it to her attention. Our sighting lasted roughly 30 seconds, from the time I first noticed it in my binoculars while idly scanning the sky until it moved out of sight to the northeast. The object did not noticeably vary its speed or direction at any point during the sighting. It appeared to have small dark markings at its rear and along part of the bottom. It did not look fuzzy but had distinct outlines.

The sighting overall was completely unremarkable except for the absence of any sound, contrails, or visible wings or engines. I was left wondering whether it might possibly have been a small private jet with unusually quiet engines, flying banked so that its wings were edge-on to our perspective (and hence not observable by us), but several considerations argue against that hypothesis. First, we should have heard engines, no matter how quiet, at its modest apparent distance and compared with other aircraft in the vicinity just before and after our sighting. Second, it is extremely unlikely that a normal aircraft would have maintained a bank of about 30 degrees (which is what would have been required to put any wings edge-on to us, given its height in the sky from our position) continuously for half a minute in what appeared to be essentially straight and level flight. Third, if an aircraft had been flying past in an attitude such that its wings were edge-on to us, its tail (vertical stabilizer) would have been plainly visible, contrary to what we observed. Fourth, as noted above, conventional jets that we observed at approximately the same time were all leaving obvious contrails. So, in conclusion, I do not know what we saw, but I’m contributing it to the database in case the information is useful.

I was getting of exit 19, off of 24 south, heading into Avon, when I saw a green fireball shooting down only a few hundred feet from the ground. It looked like a comet.

I pulled into the Walmart where it looked like it may have hit the ground just behind it. Nobody was around.

I'm so surprised the car in front of me didn't pull over. I hope I'm not the only one who saw it. I've never seen anything like it before in my life.

Orange fireballs create a V-formation over beach at Avon.

At approximately 9:30pm on 6/2/15 I was with a group of people fishing and having a small fire on the beach in Avon. The night was warm, the weather clear except for some small patches of clouds and a little haze but the moon was out and visibility was good.

I was looking over the water when I noticed a bright orange object had just appeared a good distance down the coast and over the water. At first I thought it was a low flying plane that had broken out of the hazy clouds, but then the object did a short, quick dip down and suddenly one object “blinked” or “split” into six to eight other similar orange objects and into a V-formation. This formation moved across the sky for a few moments and then almost in perfect unison “blinked out” and disappeared. Of the 12 or so people on the beach, only myself and one other witness witnessed this particular part of the event.

Five minutes later, at about 9:35pm, two orange fireballs appeared in the sky closer down the beach to my location. These two craft came out of the clouds flying nearly parallel and almost mimicking each other’s movements. They looked very much like planes at first, but then they would pulse bright fireball orange on and off. They sped across the sky inland, at one point coming to a complete stop and hovering for about a 20 second time period. The two craft then reversed and started heading back over the sea where they shone bright orange and then blinked out and disappeared.

The odd thing about this second part of the sighting, which all members of my party now witnessed, was there was an actual sound for a brief time. Whether or not the sound came from the craft or not, I cannot say, but it was deep and sounded like a jet engine at first, but then it kind of mimicked the sound of the surf and waves of the beach, but noticeably louder. It was at the time of this sound that the craft disappeared.

One more of these orange balls were spotted well inland at approximately 10:15pm moving over Avon and its beach houses. It too moved well across the sky only at one point coming to a near complete stop and hovering. It stayed like that for a few seconds before moving on then blinking out and disappearing. Three people witnessed this.

Fireworks, military flares, light effects off the clouds—this was none of that. These things seemingly moved with purpose and intelligence. I have never seen anything like it. Oddly enough, it was noticed that hardly any commercial aircraft or aircraft of any kind were in the skies on this night.

After some quick research and checking online to see if anyone else saw what I did, I found on Youtube some footage taken in 2012 at Myrtle Beach which shows exactly what I saw, but I saw a more intricate V-formation of sorts. Saw first fireball appear 2 witnessed this.

The fireball was bright yellow orange and lasted 15 seconds. It just appeared burning bright and the gone.

As we where wondering what we just saw 2 more people came out to join us. Then we all 4 saw this fireball several more times. It looked the same every time and in the same location.

After looking in the same spot we noticed 2 red lights that move around in the sky. These lights didn't make a sound.

The stayed in the same area of the sky appearing not to move for a time. then started moving came across island turned south.

Family vacation all looking off top deck of house into ocean towards avon fishing pier. 3 bright lights formed horizontally and the into triangle and then disapeared and reappeared in seperate location and then dissapeared.

Moments later air force jets showed up super high did some loops and were gone.

Time went by and lights reappeared, 2 this time, for seconds and vanished,

10 minutes later jets came back to snoop around.

These lights were large had no sound or object behind them as the sky was not yet dark on their first time around.

Totally strange.

Obviously the air force were looking for something???

Twin lights with gold fire like trails behind them moving in very controlled up and down flight patterns.

We were traveling West on interstate 90. I looked to the left which would be south of the interstate and saw two side by side bright lights with golden like trails behind them.

At first they appeared to be something taking a nose dive and crashing like footage that you see of air planes that have crashed at air shows. Except it is at night and no craft was visible just two bright lights with fire like trails behind them. They were not very high off of the horizon we lost sight of them in the trees.

After the first initial dive they started an up and down motion and then you could see the lights with trails appear to go out of alignment but then you could tell that it was just changing direction. It had very fluid controlled movements.

Then we lost sight of it behind the trees as we approached the toll booth. After we got our ticket and were on the other side of the toll booth it was gone.

We then stopped a few miles down the road at the Travel Plaza and other people we talking about the same sighting.

2 orange spheres on two consecutive nights

Two orange spheres were seen traveling north. I first observed the objects on 02/21/14 at 23:15 hrs. They were seen again on 02/22/14 at the same time (nightly dog walk).

On 2/21 the sky was hazy and no sound was heard. They traveled from the south at a steady speed seeming to maintain a constant distance. The objects turned east the southeast and faded from view about 20 sec. apart.

On 2/22 the sky was clear and the objects appeared brighter and larger, almost moon sized. They again traveled north this time veering to a north easterly heading. The objects faded from view in a similar fashion as the previous night and again they traveled silent.

On both occasions there was no indication of change in the indeterminate altitude; only change in latitude, longitude and distance from vantage point were observed.

Both nights the cell phone was on the charger and I did not capture images (did not expect to spot a second time).

I saw them on my way home bright red balls in the night sky, thought they were towers but nope 2 of them close to each other the next ones stagered in height and distance I stopped at the light and they where moving north like they were following then after about 3 min or so they dissapeared this is not my 1st time seeing them the last time was a year ago in tennessee a big fire ball in the sky it was beautiful actually...

There were 3 lights that were changing shapes, they were orange lights then they turned a little red and then went back to orange,

I was watching T.V. with my cousin and mom and look out the window and see 3 orange lights moving. I tell my mom and all three of us go out. They were three orange lights that were still then started to move. The lights were orange then turned a little red then back to orange. Then they were moving forward and departing away from each other. The 2 lights that were behind the first one disappeared then the front one disappeared then came back again and then was gone at last.

My mom had her phone and was going to the camera by that time the lights had disappeared. The lights were in a fallen triangle shape, but then lost the shape.

it was about 9:15 at night we were on the deck of our vacation rental im kinnakeet shores when my son yelled what the .. we all saw a huge orange ball of fire shooting across the skyline then disappear over the next hour we counted 9 helicopters flying down the coastline, veer out towards the ocean, out of site we could hear them but couldnt see them our most memorable event of this beach trip seeing the helicopters obviously looking too made us feel less crazy!

Two hovering crafts appeared in Avon, NC and emitted a distinct pattern of 4 circular orangish lights each.

After coming home from dinner on Sept 25, we sat out on the deck on our oceanfront house in Avon, NC. Around 9:30 pm, two objects appeared in the sky very close to our house hovering just over the ocean. I could not make out the exact shape of the objects, but both emitted a pattern of 4 large, circular, organish lights. Each light lit up individually in a row on both crafts, and then all together. Then the crafts disappeared, as well as the sound. A few minutes later, the crafts reappeared about a half a mile south down the beach. The crafts emitted the exact same pattern of lights, and then disappeard. They reappeared one more time much futher south with the same light pattern. This was the last time that we saw them. Soon after, we saw 3 military jets come together (from different areas) in a triangle formation and flew off together towards the north. We are all level headed and agree that it was certainly an abnormal sighting. Unfortunately, w! e did not get any pictures or videos. The crafts defied the laws of physics - there was no trajectory, no gravity seemed to be acting on it, and the sound disappeared when the crafts did.

I saw two bright lights, and then a craft of overwhelming proportions!

It started with me having some friends over for a nerf battle/sleep over. After the battle, we went to sleep in a tent. Before we fell asleep, we saw two bright spherical lights in the sky maybe up and down and up and down. Next, we fell asleep.

Something woke me up, but o don't know what.I looked out the tent and saw a large Orange circular thing in the sky. It had three circular lights on the bottom, arranged in a triangle. The craft itself was shaped like a disk, and was extremely large. It was probably as high as a plane, but still took up most of my vision.

When I first saw it, I woke up the nearest of my friends, and asked him what he saw. He described it perfectly. Now, I'm not saying I saw an alien craft, or some military thing, but I saw an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. I then wrote down what I saw, drew a quick sketch and went to sleep. I don't know why I waited to report it, but I did. What I saw, again to clarify was a UFO, not something alien (at ! least not for certain). The neighbors' dog was barking like crazy during the time this happened, and when I first saw it I checked my watch and it was one AM. Afterwards, it was nearly four AM.

Around 11:30 PM on 7/26/12 me and two of my cousins were looking out over our balcony at A beachfront house in Avon, NC, in a southern direction. We saw what looked like 2 or 3 orange lights in the distance. At first we thought they were hot air ballon flares as they looked like small fires fading in and out of visibility. After a few minutes they went away but then they came back. There were again 2 or 3, but they had changed position and 2 of them were hovering in a straight line parallel to the ground. In the background it looked like a smaller light was flying around very quickly. These lights faded out as well and again returned but much closer. The colors were still orange but seemed to take on a little red Coloring as well. one of the lights "split" into 3 smaller lights and seemed to be in a kind of triangular disk shape, almost like the bottom of a craft. These lights faded out soon after and then we went inside. Our parents were out on the beach and saw the same lights we did.

All of us are very rational and level headed, but we all agreed no one knew what the lights were. It was very strange.

Orange orbs hovering over the beaches of North Carolina along with erratically behaving white lights

My husband and I are visiting family on the Outer Banks of North Carolina this week. Around 11:00 pm, three of us (my husband, my best friend, and I) decided to walk to the beach and look at the stars. This is something I enjoy doing when I come to the beach. When we got there, we all sat down on our beach towels to look at the sky. It was a clear night with occasional small, thin clouds rolling through.

About fifteen minutes after getting there, I was turned to the southeast, facing my friend and chatting. My husband was on the other side of me. I suddenly saw a bright orange orb-shaped object appear in the sky above us. It did not fall from the sky or come from the ground or ocean. It simply appeared. We all sat up and watched it. Seconds later, two other identical objects appeared next to the original one, and they hovered there for a moment before disappearing. This happened five or six times. The orbs appeared to be moving in a formation, with the two secondary orbs following the lead of the first. After about fifteen minutes of this, we did not see any more of the orbs.

A few minutes later, we noticed that a smaller, whiter light that had been stationary over the horizon, out on the sea, was starting to move. It moved horizontally southward, and also up. It moved erratically, quickly, and occasionally moved northward and back and forth. A second light of the same size appeared a few minutes later. We watched these lights for close to an hour. The second light appeared to follow the first. They moved all the way across the horizon in a matter of minutes. These were certainly not boats or any aircraft that we’ve ever seen. No boat or aircraft moves or behaves the way these lights did.

My husband and I also saw one giant flash of white light near the area where the two smaller white lights originated. My husband described this flash as looking like a strobe light: quick, round, and intensely bright. It did not appear to be lightning.

My best friend is not a believer in aliens or UFOs, but even she has absolutely no explanation or guesses as to what we saw tonight, particularly the original orange orbs of light. They were absolutely quiet, and moved in such a smooth, orderly way. These were not airplanes, meteors, Chinese lanterns, satellites, fireworks, or any of the typical guesses that people give.

Greenish/White chevron shaped light flying over Avon,CT 3/25/2012

On Saturday March 25, 2012 I was driving to my sister's house in Avon, Connecticut. As I was driving North down Old Farms Road I noticed a greenish chevron shaped light flying over head. This light was cloud level and flying in a circular shape over the same area.

I observed this flying light for approximately 10-15 minutes as I was driving and then once I arrived at my sister's house as I was still able to see it. When I told my sister about what I had saw she told me how she has noticed it also noting that she had seen it on Monday night 03/19/2012 and also she had seen it earlier in the night of 03/25/2012 around 18:30-19:00 hours.

She was able to tell me exactly what I had saw in the sky as she described it as a greenish/white shape flying circles in the same area I had also seen it flying over.

17 Ufo's seen in Avon Indiana September 17, 2011.

We live in a suburban type neighborhood, and I had just put my kids down to bed. So I went outside to smoke. All of the sudden I saw three crafts in the sky flying together, with bright pulsating orange lights that seem to be flying in a zig zag pattern coming over some trees in the neiborhood and closer. When they got closer I realized that they were not airplaines and they were spinning thats why they seemed to be flying in a zig zag pattern, and then two more started coming over the tree line and I ran to get my boyfriend, and I was screaming "OH MY GOD YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS!!!"

He came out and was shocked thats when we were noticed that also they seemed to flying straight up at the same point in the sky and vanishing, instead of going straight out through the horizon. Thats when my boyfriend decided to go grab his cell phone and try and get pictures if there was more, and boy was there, They just kept coming. I was counting them, and had some! point I reminded him that there was a video recorder on the phone. On the photographs it just look liked orange sphere shaped specs, but to us we could see them clear as day. On the video the craft seemed to be dancing around the sky and then vanishes. At one point one of them was going a little slower than the other and it had like a diamond shape of lights under it. The orange lights were so bright they kind of looked like flames. Later some regular planes came buy. I wondered if they had seen it too. I never believed in UFO's before untill last night. The experiance was life changing.

2 disk shaped objects flighting in formation over Connecticut

Around 12:40, my brother and I saw 2 round disk shaped objects flying silently in formation in a NW direction.

We had been lifeguarding at our local pool when we observed the sighting. Generally, planes fly over the pool while approaching runway 6 at Bradley International Airport but you can always hear them even if you cannot see them.

These two objects were flying very low and right next to each other in formation. We saw the objects for about 4 seconds before they disappeared behind the tree line.

About 15 minutes later, we observed a military helicopter (which was very load) circling the area where we had seen the objects flying.

A very large bright light moving fromeast to west a a very high speed.

I was out walking my dog at about 9:30 at night. I live on top of a mountain at about 8,000 feet. I looked up at the sky and saw a very large bright light moving at high speed from the east to the west. There was no sound and no flashing lights. It was not a plane. I at first thought that it might be the space station.

However, I did some research on the internet and the space station was not over Avon on that night.

There were also not any known satellites in the area. It was also moving much too fast for the space station according to a friend who has watched it several times. It was not a meteor and did not leave a trail. It moved horizontally and was extremely bright. There have been many UFO sightings in our area recently.

I felt that it was important to add this one to your database. I am also hoping that someone else saw this one.

Low flying disc with flashing lights seen over Avon

I am a MUFON investigator in Vail in Eagle County CO. On Friday the 8th a retired Air Force vet told me of a sighting two 12-year olds who live in his apartment complex had the previous evening. He was able to set up a meeting with them the following Friday. The two witnesses, a boy and a girl, were in the parking lot of the complex at the time. The boy told me that he first noticed the disc to the west, towards the main entrance of the Beaver Creek resort,which is about three quarters of a mile away. The disc appeared dark and oval shaped with flashing white, red, and yellow lights at first. The disc darted quickly to the northeast, then slowed down and moved eastward down the Eagle River valley, passing to the north of the apartment complex. The boy pointed the disc out to the girl witness and they watched it as it fluttered down the valley before ascending into the clouds. At one time they saw an edge view of the craft which looked cigar shaped with the lights appearing along the upper edge. The sighting occurred as it was starting to get dark and there were broken clouds over the area. The witnesses said there was no sound coming from the disc. The kids immediately went and saw the Air Force vet, who is a neighbor of the boy, and told them what they saw.

The kids are very creditable and I believe they saw a UFO. When I asked the boy how large the disc appeared in the sky, using his fingers at arms length, he held his fingers about two inches apart, indicating the UFO was quite low. Due to their age we did not do a report with MUFON. The AF vet said the complex has many hispanics, some of whom are illegal, and they are very closed mouth about things. We had two other sightings reported to me that same day along the I-70 corridor in Eagle County, one of which in Edwards was reported to MUFON CMS#16910. The other one occurred in Eagle CO about 21:30 and is reported at this site. I have gotten some local news coverage about the sightings out here in the hope of finding other witnesses to this sighting and the others.

Oblong UFO with red/white lights (Elyria, OH)

My 20 year old daughter is a senior in college. She has a 3.6 GPA and is a very bright, mature girl. She has no prior experience with UFO's and has been a bit skeptical of them. She is not one to make up story. Tonight, she left class at approximately 19:35 p.m EST. I called her cell phone as I often do to determine her time of arrival for dinner. When she answered my call, she was extremely upset and crying. She stated that when she pulled onto North Abbe Road (heading North) in Elyria, OH there was a very large oblong object in the sky that was gray in color and had red and white flashing lights. The object appeared to be sitting still and was not very high in the sky. She was nearly hysterical. I talked to her from my cell phone to her cell phone her entire drive home. When she arrived home she was still very upset and crying. I asked why she was so scared. She couldn't explain why, she just kept saying I couldn't understand. She almost immediately went to sleep which is highly unusual. To type this report, I checked her cell phone log of recent calls for the time of the incident; however, the call is not logged in her cell phone. Finding this more than a bit odd, I then went to my cell phone and the call to her cell phone is clearly logged. The call lasted 10 minutes and 35 seconds. For the record, I am a professional business person. I am convinced she saw a UFO. My daughter would not make this up.

Two photographs Shot August 19th, 2008 of Saucer Shaped Craft at Beaver Lake in Avon, Colorado

While recently on vacation in Vail, Colorado for five days with my girlfriend, we decided to go horseback riding at Beaver Creek, Colorado. There was a total of six of us horseback riding in the area of Beaver Lake located in Avon, Colorado on August 19th, 2008.

There were five guests and one guide who left the Beaver Creek Stables at approximately 09:45 hours and rode up to Beaver Lake. We arrived around 11:30 hours and I shot some photographs of the horses as they were tied up to a post. After eating a box lunch and fishing for trout in the Beaver Lake, we mounted up and started headed back down the mountain to the stables around 13:15 hours. The skies were bright blue and sunny. The ride was uneventful with nothing out of the ordinary seen or heard.

Upon returning home and reviewing the digital photographs, I found two photographs that show a very distinct disk or saucer shaped object just above one of the mountains. The images were taken with a Nikon D80 high-resolution camera. The first image that captured the saucer shaped object was at approximately 11:38 hours (7023) and the second photograph to capture the saucer shaped object was at approximately 13:30 hours (7094).

Two solid white lights flying in formation over the Colorado Rockies

While looking at the stars, we saw two steady white lights flying in formation, traveling from north to south across the horizon. They were travelling rather fast and at the exact same speed the entire time we saw them, one slightly below and behind the other. The light went from similar to that of a star to very bright (resembling a spotlight) then gradually dimmer until we could no longer see them. Almost as if the light was rotating very slowly. When the light was brightest, it appeared to be vertically oblong in shape. We waited to see if they appeared farther down the horizon, but they did not. At the same time, airplanes were visible in other areas of the sky. Since they looked nothing like the planes, we decided they must be UFOs.

Green laser finds object flying overhead

We were returning home from a long trip and had just passed through Avon NY. Avon is located South of Rochester NY and East of Buffalo NY. We had just entered Route 20 where it separates from Route 5. We were heading west. This is a 2 lane road through a large open field, and a route I regularly travel.

My friend wanted to show me how his new high powered green laser pen worked when pointing it at the moon. The moon was at about 11:00 and fairly low in the sky. My friend put the laser up to the windshield so we wouldn't get back splash from the laser into our eyes. He pointed it at the moon. A second or two after pointing it in that direction suddenly the laser hit an object flying by the moon but relatively close to us, maybe a couple of miles away at most. When it hit the object the light from the laser began sparkling and spashing in all directions as if it had hit a prism or similar object of glass. I thought he had hit the side of a plane and told him to shut it off as we would get into trouble. After he turned it off, there was nothing in the sky except the moon. We looked for a plane but nothing was there.

There was enough background light from Rochester and Buffalo to allow us to see an object as large as the one we had seen. Note I was still driving, perhaps 30-40 mph. We thought this was an abbarition and he again lit the laser. This time nothing happened when he shown it at the moon. By chance he moved it around and at the same elevation, but now about 1 oclock he again hit the object. He followed it for a moment, then shut it off. We realized that there was something there that did not reflect light as any airplane we knew of might. Also it was not visible to the eye except with the aid of the laser. We became a little shaken and I hit the gas and got out of there quickly. It was cold that evening and so we did not open our windows to listen for sounds. Because the object was only visable with the laser, we could not determine its size, and because the field is mostly open we had no reference point to be sure of the size or the distance from us. Still knowing the ability of the laser to light a large area a couple of miles away, we knew it had to be relatively close.

Red light dividing into 4

I was fishing down on the beach near Avon thursday night around 8 pm. I turned to walk back to my truck and saw some strange red lights in the sky. I was wondering if maybe you know what these lights were. With my back to the ocean, the light appeared just a little to the left. It was high in the sky. About cloud level at maybe a 45 degree angle from me. It was round about the size of your little finger nail held out at arms length. The light first appeared by itself for about two seconds then another light seemed to come out of it like almost instantly to the left. It was spaced away from the first about the same distance as the diameter of the first light then another came out of the second, and another, and another, until there were either four or five lights side-by-side in the sky all the same size.. Then I can't, remember for sure, they either went out all at one time or they went out one at a time in the order they lit up. I was fishing south of the point wednesday night and saw two red lights side-by-side lower to the ground toward Frisco. I didn't really think anything about them at the time. I assumed they were two jets. They were just lit for a couple of seconds also.

Length of a football field and about 50 plus yards across. Moved very slowly, like a car going 5 miles per hour. Hovered slowly moving slowly over the top of a 4 story condo then disappeared after about 30 seconds because it moved out of view.

I remember if it were lastnight. I was smoking a cigarett on my front porch gazing towards the northeast and i noticed 3 lights simutaniously drifting slowly downward over some oceanfront property. after a second or two it shot back up and continued to follow the coast line south. the funny thing about it was it didnt make any sound what so ever and it freaked me out! I never came out with this till now.

Staples Avon, CT UFO ID Software DooM Engine Open Source

When I was younger working at Hopmeadow Mall in Simsbury CT, I heard about a UFO sighting in Staples Avon CT location. This was around 1999 when I heard of it. I believe it occurred years earlier around 1995, though it may have been as early as 1990. I had a friend who worked at Staples around 1998 who never told me of this event, though this person moved away shortly after working there.

This may be of interest – this Staples used to be a popular location to buy computer games, especially the old ID Software Doom engine games. This was before the engine went open source. I cannot explain this connection and I doubt the person telling the account of this sighting knew this store used to be a popular location to buy ID Software product. I don’t believe they have a large aisle selling games anymore.

I believe this Staples used to have a steeple on the roof as well.

Around dusk, Istood outside of my home, and observed a light in the sky. During the time it took me to smoke a cigarette, this object came to within 75-100ft of the roof of the neighborhood homes, and was on a path that would take it directly above me.

AS it passed over my head I could see tat it was triangular in shape, with three lights (one at each corner). It was almost completeley silent with the exception of a low humm.

Shortly after it passed over me it changed direction abrubtly and instantly made a slight course adjustment. From what I obseved this object was not beholden to known principles of flight. It traveled at I would estimate 3-5 Mph., it's turn was the most baffling becuse the objects speed remained a constant and as the object itsef rotated to the right its direction simultaneousley changed, there was absoluteley no delay between turn and direction change!

It was about 50ft across and had windows. As the object left going south in the distance I turned and noticed another light where I had originally saw the first object.

I waited to see what this new object was and to my surprise it was an identical triangular object, identicle path and trajectory as well as speed. The weirest part of the sighting to me was that the second object turned at the exact same point,at the exact same angle (vector)and the exact same speed of 3-5 mph.!!!

These triangles that I saw definately were not reliant upon any air flow for flight.

Definately had the feeling they could be man made. Not too sure but I think there are/were Air Force bases near there point of origin. (weymouth)

A huge lit-up craft various colors of lights at tree top level traveling at a very slow speed (10 mph) over our heads .

My mother and I were traveling a short route home (5 min. ride)from my grandparents house when at a stop sign at the intersection of Arch road and West Avon road A HUGE lit-up craft appeared out of nowhere at tree top height (approx. 50 feet) going very very slow over our car. We got out of the car a looked at it in amazement I have never seen anything like this in my life to date (this happened about 22 years ago I was about eleven, and remeber it very distinctivly). I had made mention that the craft was "lit-up" it had various colors of lights and was traveling at a very slow speed (running speed, 10 mph) it creeped over us heading in the direction of a cow field adjacent to the road we were on. no noise what so ever.

Driving early AM in Avon Ct. I spotted an object fifty feet in the air as large as a house.

I was driving back to where I was staying that night after dropping off a friend, I was driving up a road in Avon CT. when I saw a bright light up ahead, I thought this was unusual for this time of night. I proceeded up the road and when I got to where the light basically was coming from there was no light present, I looked arond in curiousity and discoverd an object the size of a house hovering about fifty feet in the air, It was basically a half moon and visability was good, this object was very dark and large, there were no lights on and it made no noise what so ever. I parked my car in the middle of the road and left it running with the lights on hoping someone would come down the road to witness this as well. I stood still in one spot staring at this object for about 5 min fearing what it would be capable of doing. I looked around and saw a house that had it's lights on so I ran over to it and knocked on the door, I waited for a couple of minutes but nobody answerd, I ran back to where my car was and the object was still there. I became so scared I jumped in my car and drove off quickly, as I went to the stop sign at the end of the road I looked up and the object had followed me all the way down the road, I turned to the left and saw the object was still following me, I floored the gas and never looked back again, it took me over a month to tell anyone else but eventually I told my parents, we ended up moving to an area basically right where this event occured and a neighbor saw the same thing almost one year to date later, she described the exact same event I witnessed.
