Bright green cigar shaped craft flies past our plane

I am a pilot I want to keep myself anonymous because my co-pilot tried to report this and got grounded. It was around 3:40 to 4:00 a.m. and we were flying into a local airport we were dropping off a couple of people who were coming back from basic training in the military. We were over the Fort Edward area over some farmland when my co-pilot pointed toward the mountains and said what is that green thing? I looked over and realized that it was just a solid green light that appeared to just hover. I was thinking maybe it was some sort of tower on the mountain and told my co-pilot what I thought as we continued to fly he ended up pointing again and saying it moved. I looked over and it was closer probably within about 500 ft of us and it appeared to be flying toward us, in my mind I was thinking maybe it was a private plane, that may be possibly somebody had put wrong lights on it. I told my co-pilot to turn the cockpit lights on and off hoping that maybe we would get some sort of response. When he did that the light got brighter and then blinked out. This has been the course of about 5 minutes and now I was kind of suspicious because planes don't just shut their outside lights off in the middle of the night.

Within about 30 seconds I ended up being the one to see it this time probably about a mile away from us it had somehow gone from about 500 ft to our right side to about a mile away over another mountain, within the span of 30 seconds. This time I could view it from the side and I realized that the light was in the shape of a cigar, I would say more like a cigarette because of the length. I said do we report this and my co-pilot just stayed silent staring out the window. It didn't appear to be moving relative to the lights on the ground. It then made a slow turn to where it was pointing in our direction again and just looking like a ball of light and then flew past us very fast. When it went over the cockpit it couldn't have been more than 200 to 300 ft above us and I could see that it appeared to have rows of windows in the front, no wings whatsoever and I realized that the green light we're coming from these bars on the side running the length of this object. That was all I could really see within the quick glance. My estimate was it went about a mile away from us to flying right over us in the span of a couple of seconds.

My co-pilot opened the door to see if anybody else was awake or saw it and everybody in the back was asleep so he came back and said I'm reporting it. I said okay we can do that and I got on the radio and asked if there was any other planes or aircraft in my vicinity and was told no. The controller asked me if I had seen something and I said yes and he asked me to switch frequencies which doesn't often happen. I switched and he said we had somebody about five to six miles away from you earlier say that they saw a row of green lights is that what you saw. I said no it was object it appeared to be an aircraft with no wings it did have a two green bars of lights and they were so bright that it lit the whole object up. he then said switch back to regular frequency and begin your landing approach.

When we landed we were questioned by a man I'm not sure who he was but he was wearing a nice blue suit and they took us to a small room and asked us what we saw and to draw it out. he asked if I wanted to file a formal report and I said no and left my co-pilot however did want to file one and ended up grounded the next day.

I live in upstate New York but not this area but I do have a family member who lives out towards the area where we saw this object. I called him up and we were talking and he said that people see stuff like that over the farmland and into the mountains going toward Vermont all the time. He told me that him his wife and other people in the area are of the belief that these lights and things that they see are military in nature. I tend to lean on that as well. I figure what we saw could have been a drone of some sort but it was very large I would estimate that it was at least two times the size of our plane which would make it about the size of a 747. It had no noise that we could hear from the cockpit I know that probably doesn't help because you can't really hear much outside of a cockpit, the bars of light on both sides almost reminded me of something that I saw when I was in the military that they had put on helicopters to signal from a distance.

My thinking was that this was a large UAV that they were possibly using to signal Jets or something in the area. My co-pilot is of different thinking and I believe that could be the reason he was grounded. He seems to believe that it was something not from here. I believe that some people may have seen this as some farmers do tend to wake up very early but according to my great uncle who is the family member who lives almost in the exact area over which this sighting took place it's almost a common theme out there and nobody really reports it. From what I was able to deduce they believe it is military because they see military helicopters and planes fly over on occasion during the day. It is mountainous area very hilly not flat and my great-uncle says it almost looks like a European country in this area. He even had a farmer who lives down the road from him who had to kick a bunch of men with flashlights off of his property about 2 months ago and they were wearing military fatigues. So it is my belief that this was something military and that maybe they're using the area for training. I know there is a national guard area close to where this took place. And I do know of one or two areas in the general vicinity that aren't official but where military personnel take off in helicopters. My thinking was that maybe this was a UAV of some sort that they were using almost as a North star in a sense that's the only thing I can really think of.

Sorry for rambling on but my mind is absolutely blown by whatever it was and the only thing that I can think rationally is military. If I'm being irrational and a conspiracy theorist I guess I could say it was extraterrestrial but I just don't buy that. Like I say and I want to reiterate that I do believe this was some sort of military operation and I say that just in case somebody connected to my company or to the local airport finds this report and tries to have me grounded.

Four lights split into two!

We saw 4 solid white lights in close formation moving south west vertical to the ground the craft then went horizontally and the four lights seemed to become brighter! They then split into two separate crafts one went in the direction NW the other continued southwest!

I've seen the obvious objects that are mistaken for UFO's, but this is the first time I've ever seen what I'd honestly call a UFO.

One glowing orange (seemingly) rectangular sort of shape moving steadily as a plane would, from north to south across a clear evening sky. Constant orange glow, no flashing lights, or change of color.

Once overhead,(12:00) the glowing disappeared at around the 2:00 mark. No sound could be heard. My wife and granddaughter returned from the store, and had been watching it while driving home.

white object traveling fast

as i was watching my roof being replaced i was talking to the job foreman as we were looking up we both spotted this round white object moving in the blue sky at such speed we were amazed .

this object was going so fast that the momentum should have caused it to slow before coming to a complete stop but it stopped quickly and changed directions several time .

the foreman and i just laughed and said if they can do that, well theres nothing we can do about it anyways and we just laughed . but we both believe they do exist .....

Gosh this is kinda hard seeing as i saw it so briefly. I glanced out my window and saw the craft flying by fairly quick. It caught my attention first, because of its strange shape which i would describe as a single object made of 2 long, thin, white ovals connected at ends. Second reason it caught my attention was the fact there was no noise of any kind. No buzzing of an airplane, no screeching/soaring of a jet, nothing. Third there was no chemtrail/contrail behind object. I cant really give an estimate as to the altitude but it seemed very high and moving fast for that altitude. It was heading in the general direction of south west but more west than south if you no what I mean. I saw it briefly then lost it as it moved over the woods across the street. Yesterday I saw 3 white objects in the sky which flew straight then circled each other in a triangular pattern. I assumed them to be birds but Im not so sure now.

I wrote in last year and never heard if anyone had seen what we did. Again I will tell you what we had seen. My daughter and I were coming in from the barn around 9PM and it was really dark out and we were making sure I didnt trip over a bale of hay when all of a sudden right above this this thing a disked shaped object was about 200ft above us. We just stopped my daughter got very scared and run to the house to get my boyfriend and he came out and saw it to. It had lights all the way around it, there was no sound at all coming from it. My daughter could see some kind of writting on it that she said looked like greek. On the front of it there was some kind of object like maybe an arrow or something.We watched it for a few more minutes and then it disappeared.I wrote to you last year and never heard if it was a weather balloon or not. My daughter said she never wants to see what we saw ever again. So I was wondering if you every got any info on this or not. It's been on my mind since the day we saw this. Any info would be helpful

A long object with very bright lights

Last night my Daughter and I were walking in from the barn and I said to her how clear the sky was and to look at all the stars. There were alot of planes also and I mentioned to her that I haven't seen this many planes in the sky at once. Then as we continued toward the house I looked up and said what the ???? is that!!! There in the sky above our house was a long object, very bright, moving slowly. The sound was NOT an airplane. We didn't know if it was a blimp, so if it was could someone please let us know.

Large black disk with flashing lights all around flying slowly above tree level

I cannot recall the exact date and time this happened, it was late at night I’m the summer of 2003. I was driving northbound on route 4 in Fort Edward, there was no other cars on the road at the time of the sighting. I don’t recall hearing a noise, but something in my mind had told to look up through the windshield. What I saw was a giant dark disk with flashing lights all around it. This disk was massive, much larger than the width of the road, and it was just a few hundred feet above my vehicle, it seemed to be just above tree level. It was moving very slowly over my car and I was watching it the whole time and after just a couple of minutes the disk continued up the road at a much faster pace and disappeared from my view.

Observed a silent object move across sky flying from a Northwest to Southeast path at about 1000' at a high rate of speed.

I was outside under a clear starlit sky, trying to locate the North Star when a triangular object flew over my visual path, moving at a high rate of speed. It's altitude was typically the height of a small piper cub, but no sound was heard. There were lights under it, maybe 3 different colors , but I could see no other details.
