I took off when the craft looked like it was turning around!

My friend Ian and I were taking my daughter Karlie for a ride so she can nap. I was driving and I saw something in the sky with many lights on it. It was too big to be a plane and it wasn't making any sound. It was completely quiet! I decided to park the car and use my iPhone 12 to try to get a picture of it. We were almost at someone's house on the corner when I took the picture you are seeing now. In that past I've seen things but never really got any solid evidence. I took 3 pics in total but I got only one good one. The first one is the one I'm sending you now. The second one idk what it took a pic of and the third photo it was hidden behind the trees. The strange thing is after taking the photo, it was different than what we saw with our naked eyes. As we got closer to the craft or it got closer to us, I decided it was time to leave. There was a light coming off it like a searchlight or a beam to take us captive. I think there was a lapse in time of 30 mins that went by that we can't explain. This craft was HUGE maybe big enough to be an aircraft carrier! It had red and white lights. It definitely changed shape or appeared different in the photo than the craft we saw with our eyes. Ian and I both agree that we couldn't see what it really looked like with our naked eyes, but the phone captured it the way it is, saucer or disk-shaped!

Something in the sky appeared to be falling straight downward.

About 5:40 PM my 11-year-old son and I were driving on route 212 from Saugerties New York, to Woodstock, New York. It was twilight. Roughly halfway there, I saw something in the sky in front of me (south/southwest). It was in the distance. It was a perfectly straight column of white smoke or vapor, like a thick contrail, with darker gray at the bottom. It looked perpendicular to the ground. To both my son and me, it looked like something was falling out of the sky, straight downward. It was not falling quickly, or in an arc, like a meteorite. We were able to see it for a couple of minutes before the road made a turn, and I lost sight of it. Neither of us saw it again, although we did see the empty sky where it should’ve been. A bright star or planet appeared there.

My son, and I were both very struck by how strange it was, and how unlike anything we had seen before. As we arrived in Woodstock, we both saw two trails at angles to each other that appeared to be airplanes. They might have just been regular airplanes, but it’s not often that you see two together in the sky over Woodstock.

When I got home, I posted a description of the experience on Facebook. A friend who lives in the area mentioned that she had also seen it while driving, and that it looked the same to her.

I am a 61 year old psychotherapist, and the other adult that saw this is the director of a school.

Triangle of lights over NYS thruway near exit 20.

We were driving down the nys thruway near exit 20 and saw 3 bright lights in the sky in a perfect Triangle formation.

At first we thought it may be a plane but the lights were stationary and too far apart.

Then we thought it may have been a tower, but on closer inspection there was nothing under the lights and it was directly over the highway.

It was hovering over the highway and making no noise.

We drove right under it. It did not move.

Rocking, slow moving disk high in sky visible due to reflected sunlight

I was traveling south on the New York State Thruway between exits 20 (Saugerties) and 19 (Kingston). The sun was quite bright overhead - not visible to me. Ahead of me were high flying clouds approaching from the south (they then totally dispersed, on the trip back they were nowhere to be seen.) These were, again, HIGH flying clouds.

I was going 62 miles per hour (I know this because I watch my speedometer carefully and the car in front of me was a bit slower than usual). I had reached (approximately) the mid-way point (mile marker 96-95) between Saugerties and Kingston exits which are eight miles from one another. I’m unsure the exact direction since the road has many wide curves but it was the southbound lane (two lane thruway, I was in the right hand lane). It was approximately 11:50 AM (I checked the car clock a couple of minutes later at 11:54). I noticed a very bright, gleaming object reflecting sunlight. It appeared in the sky immediately to my left in front of me (impossible to know how high it was.) It was not low flying, it had no wings or rotors, and if it were at a cruising altitude of a commercial airliner, it would have been huge. It flew much higher than a small plane could or any helicopter, it was not a dirigible or anything easily identifiable. As directed, if I had to compare i! ts size to that of the sun (mid-day) it appeared flatter top and bottom, and perhaps 3/4 as wide.

It drifted "slowly" (in an easy manner) more toward the center of my windshield (this all took place in 7 to 10 seconds), stopped, rocked two times (like a plane rocking its wings) and slowly and smoothly went back to the original position. It was metallic (which caused the sun to reflect off it as I stated) and shaped rather like a disc (saucer). The road then curved widely and treed area came between me and that portion of the sky for several seconds (perhaps another eight) before I could get a glimpse of that piece of the sky again (which was extremely identifiable because of the formation of high flying clouds in an otherwise crystal blue sky). The object was no longer visible.

When I reached my destination and parked, it so happened that the formation of clouds was directly in my line of vision. I was able, standing still, to see that they were quite high. A commercial jetliner was climbing to cruising altitude (I am 40 miles from both Albany and Newburgh airports, so planes climbing are commonly seen). The plane appeared to be almost at cruising altitude and was quite high. It entered the cloud structures and I lost sight of it. I believe that the object I saw while driving also got "lost" into the cloud structure which explains why it was suddenly no longer visible (as the plane was suddenly no longer visible). This suggests to me that the object I saw was flying as high as, or close to, the altitude of the commercial jetliner (since the same formation of clouds provided cover for both, once entered).

The most interesting aspect was the "rocking," a lazy but precise maneuver, before it went back toward the direction where I had first seen it. It was oval, as I said, rather like ( ) but with brackets top/bottom and very bright due to reflected sunlight. It was obviously under control (the rocking indicates that to me) and was being deliberately maneuvered.

Seen two large sherical objects about 100 feet apart as if were attached to something on each side. Very dark out and seemed to be a few hundred feet above the ground. No noise at all. Moved from the south to the north then slowy banked east. Then the object disappeared in a spilt second.

2 triangle objects Rte 32 on Ulster/Greene county line

I was driving NE on Rte 32 right about where the Ulster/Greene county line is @ 9:00pm. Looking up at sky while driving to see if I could observe any stars to determine if I thought it would start to flurry before I arrived home (Catskill). Road is not highly populated w/homes & street lights are few and far between so it was quite dark. I was the only car on the road. As I looked up, 2 triangle shaped objects went right over top of my car in a northern direction (I went back next day w/compass to check this out). I was shocked at how low they were - barely higher than the trees lining the road - and that I hadn't heard their engines. Put my window down a bit to see if I heard anything but it was completely silent - as if they were gliding. They weren't going super fast - again, just kind of gliding thru the air. One was behind the other so close they were nearly touching. I hardly think any type of planes would be flying so dangerously low or that incredibl! y close to each other. There was a light on the front tip but I cannot remember color. On the tips (wings?) yellow lights for sure. I believe a light on the back as well but am not positive about this. Went back next day in daylight to see what was beyond the trees to my left (the direction they were headed) & if it looked like a place where 2 planes could have been gliding in for landing. It was a field but I couldn't imagine these large objects could or even would land there in total darkness. I'm so mad at myself for not grabbing my iphone & taking a picture. But it all happened so unexpectedly the only thing running thru my head was a bunch of confusing questions and the inability to look away - I was awestruck.

The object the sky was very bright and only remained there for a few short seconds

On the night of August 19th, I witness a light from the sky. This light was very bright and I seemed to be very circular. The light was pure white on the outer parts of it and appeared blue in the middle. And as soon as the object appeared it vanished in the sky. When I saw the object I was on my way home from the Kingston Movie Theater. My friend was driving me home, and the light just appeared in the sky.

it flew slowly over head coming from the west toward the east. there was no noise or flashing lights, it was a very bright glowing orb, that flew horizontal across the sky directly above then slowly upward and dissapeared.

huge silent triangle full of lights moving slow just above trees

huge triangle moving very slowly making no sound.dont acually remember month or year,probably definately spring or summer 76 or 77.my friend and i were in his back yard on ulster ave.when we noticed the ufo.traffic on ulster ave.nearly came to a stop.next day my mother told me she heard about it and many people saw it and it was said to be a weather station.i guess thats possible but im not convinced .this thing was huge with no sound and moving so slowly.does anyone else remember?
