I saw something in the sky that I’ve never seen before

My mother and I were walking my dog that evening. She motion for me to look in the sky ahead of us. I looked up and saw a large reddish colored sphere with a yellowish trail streaming across perpendicularly about 200 yards in front of me and a couple hundred feet off the ground. It appeared to be in a controlled ditching or semi controlled steep descent. It was sort of a sphere shape in front larger than a helicopter, but with what looked like a tail of sorts longer than an airplane. It didn’t make any noise and we were right below it. We saw something that didn’t make any sense.

Orb Hovers above Each House in Neighborhood

Friday night, the 6th of December, my daughter I “camped out” in our living room. She was on couch directly by our bay window. At about 1:45 AM I woke up from a rather bad dream to find my daughter in the window, looking outside. I asked her what she was doing and she said, “Come here, there’s something flashing in the sky.” I said “It’s Sirius” and she said “No, it’s not, it’s in our neighborhood.” So I got up.

A large orb flashing fluidly from blue to white to red like plasma rather than actual lights was over a house. It cast a light on the peak of the roof line. It was about twenty feet above the house. It appeared to be the size of a basketball from where we were so I’m guessing it was a couple yards in diameter. It hovered there then scooted to the next house. I asked my daughter what she’d seen it do. She said, It woke me up, it hovered over Neighbor’s Name’s house, then it moved to the tree between and Another Neighbor’s Name’s house. It lit up the tree, then I couldn’t see it, and then it moved to about their house.

As we were watching together it seemed to keep moving to each house headed East, Northeast, until I couldn’t see it.

My child was unusually calm but I was pretty unsettled as it was very strange.

At the end of Northwest Road and Route 31 we spotted 2 flying north slow speed with mo sound would estimate 1000 feet up .Bright orange glow on leading edges similar to a campfire color . These 2 stopped and pivited to the east then vavished from sight . Spotted three others same height , color , shape , no sound comung from the North along Rt 31 . These 3 pivited east , no banking just turned on dine flew aprox 1/4 mile Turned North and vanished in a second. The color of the glow and the movment is what caught our attention . Very precise , quick and not plane or chopper like . And not a sound ...

Light traveling in the stars until it made a zig zag in the sky then flew off at rapid speed into the stars!

As my son, wife and I were looking up at the stars late Friday night into early Saturday morning we saw this light traveling in the galaxy at a constant speed. It was passing stars and at first we thought it was a shooting star but clearly realized it wasn't because it stayed lite and maintained a constant speed until it came to a complete stop. It was going from West to East then stopped, went south for a short distance, did this zig zag in the sky and shot off rapidly towards the east until it disappeared. Was out of this world for sure!

Low traveling large boomerang shaped ufo.

My father saw what he believes to be a boomerang shaped ufo above his house. The ufo was low and slow initially and then vanished after traveling away. My father has never claimed anything like this before to me. He is 83 years old.

football shape lights arrayed over whole surface, rolled over lights coming from edge, looking west of our location in OK County.

Something in the sky in the west, not moving, very very bright, we looked at it with just our naked eyes and it was amazing, My husband went and got us both binoculars. I couldn't believe what I could see. It was an elliptical "football" shape with an array of lights over the entire shape in a vertical stance then moved like it rolled over on its side and all the light was along one edge. FREAKY it's the alien invasion we have all been warned about or Jesus is coming from the west, one of the two.

V-shaped aircraft flying NW

I was walking out my front door and noticed a strange sound coming from the sky similar to that of a helicopter, which is what I expected to see in the sky when I looked up.

Instead, I saw a V-shaped craft flying in the sky. I was unable to get my cell phone out of my pocket fast enough to capture it on video. The object was heading North West.

Note that I have lived at this location for years, which is between two airports (Spencer Airport and Worcester Airport). However I have never seen an aircraft that looked like this, nor an aircraft that has ever flown the path that this aircraft flew.

Witnessed 4 large orbs moving in a circular pattern then moving to the center and moving out again, this lasted for 45 minutes.

My husband and I were in the house when my dog went to the glass door and was watching something across the street. She was pointing at something and watching it very intently. My husband went to see what she was looking at and he saw moving orbs of light across the street. I went and watched. The whole event lasted for 45 minutes. The orbs were huge, each was about 30 feet in diameter. They moved above a pond and were about 500 feet away from where we were. There was no sound. The four orbs were just above the clouds and were in the north sky. The four orbs moved in a square clock-wise pattern, and then moved to the center as one slightly larger light, the light stayed in the center for a few seconds and then the four light orbs moved out into a square pattern again and they rotated clockwise. It seemed almost as though they were gathering energy from their movement. It gradually got larger and at one point there were five orbs in a pentagon movi! ng. The clouds became a bit denser and it seemed like they were slowly moving away to the north, however, I could still see them. Finally, the orbs moved to the center and disappeared.

Circular craft with 2 red and 2 green lights with a pulsating red-white let in the middle.

Was driving by myself down Route 31 coming from the center of Spencer towards Paxton/Rutland are when a group of lights in the distance caught my eye.

As I drove closer I noticed the craft has 2 red lights and 2 green lights (one on each corner).

The craft also had a red light that seems to pulsate from red to white to dark red and back again.

A low, pulsating "whoomp" was heard as the craft moved across the field and behind the tree lines.

I attempted to follow the craft via Wire Village Road but was unable to regain sight or sound of the craft.

The entire even last maybe 15-30 seconds with the craft traveling at a slow pace across the sky taking approximately 30 seconds to cross the horizon.

Pulsating red lights in formation

We noticed Red pulsating lights as we were going home from church. We stopped in the Walmart lot (823 W State Highway 46, Spencer, IN) and watched at least 12 lights maintaining positions with each other and rising from the NW horizon moving across the sky and disappearing at about 20 degrees above the SE horizon. No noise. Each moved smoothly across the sky and no, what would be called running lights, could be seen on any of the objects. They were very bright much more so than Venus would be. Not all lights were visible at the same time. That is, as lights disappeared in the SE, others would rise in the NW. The last light to pass was far behind the others.

Huge, bright red light (too large to be a plane & not blinking), resembled plane crash but didn't fall, just slowly glided across sky

Driving on Rte 34/96 in North Spencer, I noticed a bright red light in the sky.

The light was enormous, leading me to suspect that I was witnessing a plane crash and that it was a huge ball of fire that had taken over the entire plane and more. But, it was not falling; it was sloooowly gliding – far too slowly and far too large to even be a plane. There also were not any blinking lights, as a plane would have at night; it was just one huge, solid red light.

I pulled off to the side of the road to watch it, still trying to figure out what I was observing. I was in an area where there is no cell phone service, so I could not call anyone. I decided to turn around and find someone else to see it. I pulled down a road and could still see the bright red light. And, then, it just vanished. I thought maybe it had disappeared into the clouds but would reemerge but, instead, it just disappeared instantly and I did not see it again.

Is this the government up to something? Or, . . ?

The object was a bright light with a smaller one atop it moving erritacally plus fast then slow it moved S.E.

On the night of September 2, 2011 at approximately 9:00 p.m. The night was clear the object I witnessed was a bright light with a smaller light atop it. This object was traveling in a south easterly direction I stepped out to smoke and just like every night I look toward the sky. The difference in this night was that I saw a bright light in the sky moving erratically and going fast then slowing down. This object had no sound or flashing lights as seen on other air craft which fly much higher than this object was. I watched it travel in a south easterly direction for approximately one minute at this time it vanished behind the tree line. I also shouted for my wife to look at the same object she agreed that it did not appear to be a plain or chopper.

Unexplained pattern of mult-colored lights that moved, diappeared, reappeared and has 7 Iowans believing that there are definately UFOs

This is an account of seven witnesses sighting of an Unidentified Flying Object on 9/25/09 in Spencer, Iowa.

The first witness noticed a flashing red light in the western horizon at approximately 21:15. Initially thought it was a planet because of the red color. Passed it off as a star and didn’t say anything to anyone in the party.

Next witness brought attention to a red, white, and blue alternating colored light that appeared to dance above the tree line. There were seven of us sitting around a campfire and we moved farther out into the yard to look closer.

We got a pair of binoculars out and took turns reporting to each other what we saw. Each of us saw a circular pattern of multi-colored lights that erratically moved while seemingly changing shapes. Two of us described it to look like a Ferris Wheel in the sky or what Hollywood has depicted as a UFO in several movies.

One witness documented the times and duration of appearance and disappearances as follows: Started 21:15 to 21:39 very bright, distinct and vivid rotation could be observed. It was at its highest point. Also during this time period, 4 people witnessed what appeared to be a shooting star in the same general area.

21:39-21:45 Object disappeared from view.

21:45-22:01 Object reappeared, lower in the sky, appearing farther north somewhat less vivid. Telescope was used to tract objects movement. It was obvious that the object was moving by the way it moved from the center of the telescope’s viewfinder within seconds. Another shooting star was witnessed by all seven of us. One witness was viewing the lights through the binoculars when it just vanished.

22:01-22:06 Object wasn’t visible.

22:06-22:12 Lights reappeared, even lower but still visible. During this time five witnesses saw a flash of white light appear above the object. The object didn’t appear to be moving as much as it had been earlier and the light appeared more amber in color.

I was waiting at the Walmart store in town and looked up. There was not a star in the sky. I noticed a white light in the sky. I started to watch it and it moved like being blowen in the wind.

I went about my business. Headed home that night live 12 miles north and 5 miles east of Spencer and I looked up and here was a white lighted trianglar object in the sky only lower. It was quite bright.

I turned five miles down the road and pulled into my farm and when I got out there it was. So I went into the house and looked out the window and it was still in the same spot.

All I could see was a very white lighted object. Large and not moving now. It just set in the sky. I don't know what it was but I do know that it didn't move after that.

unidentified object appeared to be following contrail of jet airplane

It was a nice clear evening with no clouds and I was out for a walk. I had just looked at my watch and noticed that it was 6:45 p.m. and then my eyes were drawn to the sky where there was what looked like a short contrail from a jet. But what was unusual and really got my attention was an object that seemed to be following the same general direction of the contrail, but it's speed varied. It was so far away I couldn't tell if it was another jet or something else, but there was no contrail or anything around it. I took a picture with my digital camera and I can't tell if it is one or two objects behind the contrail. (See photo attached.)

Many flashing lights viewed over industrious development in southern Indiana

When I was driving home on the evening of Sept 12, I was nearly home when going through a long stretch of flat land in my truck I look over to the north and see what appears to be police lights. Only thing is they are in the sky. Resembled the flashing of a cops light bar on top of their vehicles. Blue and red. Then I come to notice their is tons of these. Scattered all over the sky in this region. In formations they we just hovering, but once here and there one would switch positions. The objects were in my guess, maybe 65 feet in the sky. Very low, right over a few buildings and animal fields. Now as of now I haven't heard of any animals missing or anything in this neighborhoods, but this is mainly because I'd rather not get labeled a nut-job by my neighbors. But they didn't seem to notice me, or if thats the case, care I was watching. I was stopped for around 20 minutes. The entire time they stayed in a triangular formation, with several formations in the sky, heavy cloud cover from incoming hurricane weather, and they made no noise.

Just something I've taken note of, once I did get home I was extremely tired, and thats why I took off from watching this is a felt like I would fall asleep in my truck, sitting in the middle of a road. Also in our local paper The Herald Times in Bloomington, yesterday it was reported that we have had crop circles found in a nearby town of Bedford. I would be happy to send and photos of the area of sighting or of what the object looked like if needed.

Strange acting flying objects viewed on night of Indiana earthquake, with 3 witnesses.

On Aug 18 of 2008, while visiting my friend whom lives just up the road from me I encountered a sighting in which I cannot fully understand. We were visiting in a loft of their garage and my friends boyfriend left to go use the restroom. When he came back he quietly and calmly said to come over and look out the window. Stating "look who's crazy now", being he had told me about seeing these things constantly since he was young. Nearly every day from how he made it out. When I came to the window I saw a light pattern that was strange moving in the sky. At this point I must admit I was a skeptic at best, but I do have an open mind and find his stories interesting.

What I saw was a light pattern just above the tree line, moving a lot like a plane. But then it stopped, and started sinking behind the trees. Most strange thing was, when my friends significant other said something like "see, just above the tree line", it stopped and sank as if it were reacting to his voice. I walked around and kept watching for about 15 minutes to see if it were still there, which a little light was still visible, but it was just behind the trees.

What I find most interesting about this is that on this day, Indiana had several earthquakes, which is very uncommon. On top of that, I've heard that Indianapolis airport shut down due to a "unidentified flying object" sighted by the tower. I just tonight tried to find an article related to this but didn't have much success. Granted it was a mediocre search in the grand view of real research.

But that is getting me away from my story. We return to the loft to go about our conversation and he is telling me that its a totally common event for him. And goes into story after story about his encounters. Most disturbing was when he was telling me that a lot of times people missed these things because as he put it "they tend to make false noises, like helicopter, planes or jets to throw you off". That is when I felt like I was in a movie. Not 3 seconds after he got done with the word "jet" I hear just that. Like clockwork. He, not being phased by this at all mentioned that "they" very well might be out there again.We pop our heads out the window and we see just that. Two this time. I go running outside to see the show and there it is again. He the mentions that the one we saw earlier was right on top of the building we were in when he saw it, at this time comparing notes with each other, and finding out that it moved when I came up. And there they sat, above the tree line, maybe 125 feet high, and they just sink right below it, like a cat trying to catch a rodent.

The last thing that I recall seeing was right before they left all together the second one that appeared made an amazingly bright flash, a lot like the one on a camera and off of it shot a little orb that went into a crazy free spin through the sky that didn't seem to have any real pattern to it. And then they were all gone. That was the last thing I sighted this night.

Twin glowing white lights silently traverse the sky in Spencer Iowa then fade out

A little after 11pm Central Time I was out stargazing in the cornfields just outside of Spencer Iowa looking at the alignment of moon and stars when two lights passed just below the moon and silently traveled halfway across the sky maintaining their same relative position and distance between each other. (perhaps one huge object with lights at corners) The lights were white and glowed steady with no colors or blinking. The distance between the lights was about the width of a full moon. After several minutes they just faded away and were nowhere to be seen. Odd and disorienting they were definitely not planes.

I was heading toward Marshfield, WI when I noticed a circular looking UFO object way high in the sky.It was not a helicopter or a plane because it did not have a tale.It looked as if it was hovering in a clear spot, then it went into a cloud and then was just gone.It was the metallic shiny metal color and did not have any type of smoke or exhaust.I could not tell if it had any noise because of being in the distance.I took a picture and blew it up and it has no tale.

At approximately 9:40 as I was sitting in my yard star gazing, something that made me think of a comet passed directly overhead. It was not distant, but very close and large! Triangular in shape with flash in the rear, greater on the outer edges than center. The entire shape seemed to be lit. It may have been white flame shooting from the back of the object and I am certain there was a flash of blue in the center. There was no tail to speak of so I am fairly certain it was not a comet, afterall. Maybe a military vehicle? So peculiar. I do wish I'd had my camera.

I live 3 1/2 miles south of Spencer on Pottersville Rd.

Is there anything you know about this that you might share with me? No sound. So strange.

I watched it pass with amazement and wonder. Because we are surrounded by tree lines on all sides the viewing area was limited. After it passed beyond the treeline, there was some distant flashes in the sky but this could have been heat lightening, although I did not notice them prior to the sighting.

Thinking about it all night makes me certain it was not a comet at all (my initial thought) because there was definite structure to the object. Were I to associate it with something familiar, that something would be a stealth because of form and light that would resemble fuel flash feathering from the rear.

As well, I did see what appeared to be a comet after turning away from this sighting, shooting off in a different direction, from a different direction.. if the two sightings occurred simultaneously, they would have made an X over my front yard! The second sighting did seem to be a comet, lower than most I have witnessed, but definitely the shape, oval, with a short tail, white, without any deviating signs of being otherwise.

Lights were at brief and bright.

On 11-16-02 I witnessed 2 bright white lights approx: 10 feet apart,similiar to aircraft landing lights,approx: 100 to 200 feet off the surface. The area is a partially wooded partially open ground for approx: 10 square miles except for the road. No structures in that specific area. I saw them as I stopped at the junction of route 49 and route 9. From the time it tyokk to make the 90 degree left hand turn they disappeared.

I was an aircraft crew chief in the U.S.A.F. And familiar with the approach and landing of all types of aircraft. I am very familiar of the area that this event took place and know there is airport of any kind in the immediate area. The night was almost unlimited visability.

Light came from over our hill and started circulating above us.

Around mid May I was walking my girlfriend outside as I do when she leaves at night. As we exited my front porch in my rural town we saw a beam of light coming over the top of the hill I live on, near the road. We just assumed it was a car but heard nothing. The light shifted and rose over the trees. I did not see where this light was coming from. We both stared at this beam of light that rose from the tree tops over our heads. I said to my girlfriend "It looks like someone has a really bright flash light or spot light and is in the trees shining it!!" As rediculous as it sounds that is exactley what it looked like! I could not figure where this light was coming from. The light lifted up in the air way above the tree tops and the beam of light shortened towards us and turned in a rotating motion over our heads. It looked like a bunch of little rays of light rotating over our heads. I grabbed my girlfriend and said for her to move out from under it. I ran inside and told my father to come outside and see. When he got outside it was gone but there was this bright, glow-like cluster of clouds in the sky. Now I don't know if what we saw was nature or UFO. What ever it was freaked us out even to this day. Traveling north on US Highway 71 at approx. 2am on the north edge of Spencer. Saw blueish green fireball traveling west to east. Had redish colored tail. Lasted only a few seconds.

My friend Emile and myself were going home after work and while driving north through Spencer, IA on US Highway 71, we suddenly saw a bright blueish green colored fireball with a long redish colored tail moving from the west to a northeast direction. Having grown up in the wideopen spaces of western Nebraska, I have seen many falling stars, but never have I seen anything as large and differently colored as this. Both my friend and myself were startled and commented to each other that we had never seen anything like that before. We both thought it was just a meteor but both marveled at the size and color of it. I guess I never gave it a second thought until one night your director was on the Art Bell radio show the other night talking about recent sightings. He told about the fireballs being reported and the color descriptions matched what I saw so I thought I would look up your sight and let you know what we saw. I would appreciate it if someone would get back to me and let me know what I might have seen that night. I have never seen any flying saucers or any other strange things except for this. I am curious to learn what it was.

Alien crafts-Eastern South Dakota- late summer early fall 1996

Sorry this report is a few years late, but I have just decided to bring it out in to the open due to a more "relaxed" attitude people are having with UFO's. My self and wife were visiting my parents in their farmhouse in eastern South Dakota. My daughter was in bed and Me and my wife went to sleep in an upstairs room room facing west. Typical to east SoDak there were no trees at all obstruction the view of the sky, and the nearest pollution light was 22 miles away in that direction. She pointed out a light to me she said had just settled in the sky near by. I was totally used to seeing the occassional plane or helicopter, even though it was farm country, and low level aircraft are extremely rare, cropdusters are even very rare out there, probably due to wind and a below average economy. What I saw almost knocked me off my feet it was so out of place and obviously "extra-terrestrial".

About 2 and 1/2 miles straight west, and slightly north there was a light hovering still in the sky. My sife claimed to have seen it arrive there "gliding in very fast" If she hadn't caught the movement out of the corner of her eye while preparing for bed, I believe neither of us would have seen it and would have gone to bed. Even though it was fairly close the ships light was not outrageously bright. I call it a ship, because after watching it for 22 minutes I had no doubt it was an aircraft we were observing. She said in suprised voice (amused even). What is that? I saw a fairly bright light to the west. I could pinpoint its location be cause for some reason the light cast an extremely faint, but discernable glow on the ground below it. The light was normal white light, it did have what seemed to be a slight bluish tint to it. I have always had extremely good vision doctors tell me 15/20, this is in my medical reports since very young childhood. The land this craft hovered over was occupied by the biggest herd of cattle in the area. I know the farmer personally, and his Black Angus are reknowned. (Four years before, his hired man, laughed and told me how this rancher was constantly at stress at how his cattle were getting rustled with no tire prints at the the theft scene, see, load a trailer with cattle and it will chew up dirt when you leave, but then again it was one here and one there, who knows I put this together in the weeks following the siting).

We watched this light hover out there, we're both intelligent and discussed opsprey and harrier aircraft. then 12 minutes into the siting the light shifted about 10 meters to the north (right) and 15 or 20 down, so fast it was mind boggling This was the first time I saw it move, and I knew I was watching a machine from another world or galaxy was right in front of me.

We talked for another ten minutes and it shot straight upwards into "the heavens" we were speechless. She is the product of a stoic german midwestern back-ground. And she admitted that there was no way to explain what we saw except UFO. 6 years later, almost exactly, I figure if it was a US military craft, it was alien technology.

On my honor and word, this is not a joke. I actually wrote because after watching an x-files rerun with a guy wearing a nicap hat in it. Not a joke.

Immediatly after the sighting, myself and my wife could not drop the fact that we had witnessed something that shook our world and our entire belief system. We were literally in a mild shock. We lightheartedly said we would watch that weeks x-files. I don't know how long, but it wasn't too long after that sighting that we saw the episode with the plane and the guy with the nicap hat. (by the way, I guessed date, but didn't want to guess one for fear of lack of credibility). I know I am close. Even for six years of memory erosion.

One reason I have converted every person I have told this story to, into a UFO believer is that they know the wife. She is the protestant prude from the wealthy family who wouldn't believe anything she couldn't see. I have to say over the years, that event changed her more than almost anything. And I have to say for the positive. Please write if you saw lights in the Dakotas in that time.

I enclosed a email to you earlier, I forgot a fact. The light also gave me a perfect lidea of its heighth. About 250 meters. I remembered also when the ship left, it left a trail of light, but just for a fraction of a second, not sustained. I just remembered, I can't accept the phone call due to a person I rent from. Please write or email I will correspond, and can give affidavits by her or me. I have been into this since then, but this is the only real step I have taken to pursue it.
