Ship shaped aircraft hovering overhead that sounded like a drone but much louder.

There was a big ship shaped flying object hovering overhead. It was very loud and sounded like a drone, but bigger and louder. It had 1 or 2 white lights and 1 red light. It did not look like a plane or helicopter. It was moving very slowly in the same area for about 20 minutes, then flew away quickly. There were other what looked like smaller drones flying about as well toward the end.

Was stopped at a red light, intersection of Pond Path and Nichols road in Lake Grove/Stony Brook, NY. Saw bean shaped object over my head, silver/shiny color, hovering silently. As I made a left upon green light, the object traveled north slowly along my right while I drove north on Nichols road. As I approached Stony Brook hospital, I noticed another one but was much higher in sky. I recorded the object briefly with my iPhone as I was stopped at the intersection. I thought it was a balloon at first, but then was puzzled as the object didn’t seem to change shape. I checked weather when I got home to see the wind was blowing from the northeast, so the objects were traveling into the wind.

Extremely bright flashes of light moving away and gaining altitude on a clear, bright day.

Sitting on my patio with an unobstructed view of the north, south and western sky, I noticed an extremely bright flash of white light that appeared to be 6 to 10 miles away at an estimated altitude of 6,000 to 8,000 feet. The pulses of (only) white light occurred about 10 to 12 seconds apart and lasted for about a second. There was nothing visible at the site of the flash after each burst of light. The bright blue daylight sky was mostly clear with a only a few small clouds scattered out of my direct field of view. The flashes caught my attention because they were so much brighter than the landing, strobe, and navigation lights of any other air traffic that was visible nearby at the time, or that I normally see during daylight.

I live near an airport, and the Long Island Sound and am familiar with most of the air traffic that traverses the area. I assumed that the first flash might have been caused by a momentary reflection of the sun off an aircraft that wa! s changing direction. I dismissed that assumption after I observed the second flash continuing on the same heading. I expected that this aircraft was approaching me with an ultra bright strobe, and that it would become visible as the distance closed. It was not until the fourth flash, that I realized that the flashes were moving away and gaining altitude. After about 8 flashes, I lost sight of it. There was commercial air traffic approaching the local airport at a much lower altitude, and closer than the flashes I observed, yet all of the lighting on those aircraft seemed barely visible in comparison. I'm not sure what I observed, but found it quite curious!

Mysterious flying object appears around an engineering building

As i was walking back from class, this mysterious flying objects that looked like UFOs circled around one of the engineering labs on stony brook university campus. i was a little freaked out so i ran back into my room. They were fully metallic, at first i thought it was a plane, and then i remembered all of the UFO movies that i watched and concluded that it was a UFO. I am a white male that is part of stony brook's TV program, SBU TV and currently work for TV 55.

Light in the sky, moving eratically, dimming and undimming, and staying still.

I have done a lot of research on UFOs and the like in the past. I have seen many planes in the sky, many helicopters, many military planes, many stars, planets, the moon; I have never seen this, this obviously.

This light that I saw in the sky, which I first mistook for the Northern Star, was, to me, shaped like a star, just a speck of light, so bright, its like the Northern Star amplified times 10. Even behind black clouds, I can see this light, a trait I have never before witnessed in any object in the sky.

It would sit in the sky, completely stationary, for a while, about 30 minutes or so, then it would slowly move.. the most amazing thing to me is when it actually starts moving, all over the place. It moves seemingly closer to me, or further. This may be the light glowing stronger or weaker, because the light would, after about an hour, begin to dim slowly. It would dim, and re-light a little bit when it was out, then move more, and stop again, when the light was out, I could no longer see it.

The even more amazing thing is, I think I saw the SAME OBJECT IN THE SKY TODAY, which makes me think that it might be a plane or something, using a clock, coming back every day, I do not know for how many days this has been going on. I started at it the second day today, and it did the exact same thing as yesterday.. it was the most eerie thing I have ever seen in the sky. The amazing thing is, it might be in the sky tomorrow at the same time... I am going to get a large group of friends to go and watch this thing at the same time tomorrow. I will send another report tomorrow if it is there again.

On the night of April 19th 2007 around 9 oclock i stepped outside to smoke, i was standing on my front porch when i noticed up in the sky 2 lights sort of "dancing" with each other one moved very quickly to the left and abruptly stopped while the other one passed behind te other craft, shot to the right and also abruptly stopped they then hovered for another 2 minutes and dissapeared into the night sky.

Flying sphere hovering above us, shining light and then disappearing

My friends and I were in the middle of a wildflower field in a nature preserve after hours. Several of my friends were sitting on a rock nearby, but three or four of us were standing in a circle in the grass. It was very dark and we could barely see each other.

All of a sudden there was a flicker of light above us, like a camera flash. I also heard a whirring sound.

We looked up immediately and saw a sphere, a ball, with light emanating from its bottom. Then the light disappeared, it was as though the source of the light closed up. The sphere hovered for a moment or so and then flew threw the air and disappeared just several feet away.

The sphere was rather small and came very near our heads. I couldn't have touched it if I reached up, it was further up than that, but it was rather close.

This happened several years ago, but I remember it clearly and there are several people who can corroborate it.

Brilliant reddish-orange object with green tip; hovering then ascending at impossible speed

On the night of February 22, I had just pulled into the parking lot of the Borders books store and was finishing a cellphone conversation with my father. After about 10 minutes or so, I happened to glance out my car window and noticed an intensely bright, self luminous, circular object which had the appearance of being set ablaze with an electrically charged reddish-orange fire. My first impression was that I was looking at the afterburner of an extremely close range F-15 or F-18, but I was confused as to how the object could remain stationary and why the flame didn't taper to a point. I could hear nothing. It hovered motionlessly for about 3 seconds; during which time small flecks of golden colored light began to appear within it. The red light then pulsated and the object accelerated up and away from my point of observation on a northwestern trajectory. The acceleration occurred in two distinct stages. Stage one was incredibly fast and stretched a band of neon-like red light across the sky. Stage two was even faster as the tip of the object became green and what had previously been small golden flecks of light now also became stretched to form very narrow but sharp edged lines within the larger red band. Finally, as if someone had stretched and let go of a rubber-band, the tail end caught up with the tip as it vanished from sight hooking down slightly at the last moment. The entire event lasted approximately 5 seconds, but it still left me sitting in my car trembling a bit.

About a month later, I became so interested in what had happened that I decided to get some detailed maps of the area behind the Borders store front and check out what was back there. I roughly estimated the objects distance and began tracing my line of sight with a pencil. At 3 miles from my point of observation the pencil came to rest on the Stony Brook Nuclear Structure Laboratory. Naturally, this peaked my interest as I had already suspected that whatever I saw was plasma related. I've since spoken with a few of the professors who operate that facility and they've stated firmly that their equipment couldn't possibly have produced any energy related phenomenon outside of the building.

Having said that, I am now certain of five things that the object was not 1)It was not some ridiculously strange experiment of S.N.S.L. 2)It was not a meteor (it remained motionless for 3 seconds and ascended). 3)It was not a reflection in my car window or a hallucination (I've since found an independent NUFORC witness who saw it) 4)It was not a plane (impossible speed and hovering) 5)It was not a naturally occurring plasma phenomenon (perfectly circular shape and rapid acceleration) So what was it? Well, whatever it was, it seemed to express an interest in the Stony Brook Nuclear Structure Laboratory. There remains the possibility of coincidence. But the more I investigate this phenomenon the more I uncover a direct link between these objects and all things nuclear. This suggests definite intent. Whether or not extra-terrestrials are involved is a separate issue, but I now believe that these objects are physical, technological, and intelligently controlled.

I am an international Grammy nominated blues recording artist, I am also a veteran Striped Bass fisherman. I was fishing at a very well known productive Striper haunt called West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook Long Island on the LI sound one very clear night. I was facing the North sky, I first noticed a very bright object seemingly very far away that shot across the sky then started hovering in one spot, so I kept my eye on it because I have never seen something move so fast and then just sit in one spot. Watching this I noticed two more moving objects shoot toward the other one and just hang around that one, they abruptly disbursed in different directions, then came back together again, just as that happened I seen four more appear and all rendezvoused together hovering, now a total of seven, the speed of these things were very fast, just like that they all shot in different directions and were gone.

It was circular and it had a sign on it like a star or moon

It all started when my dad took me and my sister to a party at the beach.I was with my sister and a friend and her mother was talking to someone.Anyway we were playing follow the leader until we saw a strang shipe our friend was with us to see it.Someone was in back of us and it was strang person my friend ran me and my sister we were with the strang person and he put his finger on our forheads and went to sleep soon i remeber being on a strang tabl with lights all around and i saw my sister on the other side they put a stick in us that hert a lot i heard my sister crying awhile later my dad found me and my sister in the feild sleeping the strang people might of took us off the ship.All I have left now is scars on my hands,leg and behind my ear and also my sister.Sometimes I'll have dreams of what happened and hearing my sister crying and me in pain.Thats all i remeber now.

Flying Object hovered over the woods across the football field , made some manuveurs and then took off and dissapeared.

At approximately 2:30am I and two friends ( we were all about 14 or 15 yrs. old ) were sitting on a bench at the football field at Stony Brook University .Suddenly my friend noticed the " flying turtle "( as we came to call it) in the sky rising up from what we later found out to be a clearing behind the woods across from us . ( the distance from us was width wise across the football field ) The ufo hovered for a few moments or a few minutes and then descended back down , hidden from the woods . Then it rose back up again , hovered again and then moved slowly to the left a little bit and back to the middle . Then it hovered again and moved slowly to the right and back to the middle where it hovered again until it moved up a little bit and back to the middle where it hovered again and then moved back up slowly and higher up until it took off slowly to the left and then WHOOSH it just dissapeared .The object was silient and had lights around the outside rim and one on the middle of the bottom .I recall they were all white lights .It was very close to us we could see that this was not anything known to us . We did not report this because we were breaking curfew . We were not drinking or anything like that . Now 18 yrs. later I still think about this awesome experience . I know what I saw .
