Circular shaped object in the sky hovered over my car and followed us down the road

I was in the car headed home from Christmas shopping with my mother in law and my two-year-old son. We were on the road that I live on and it happens to be a back road. I rounded a corner and there was a deer in the road so I slowed down to a stop. As we crested the hill and started to speed up I noticed an object in the sky on the passenger side of the vehicle, I pointed to it and noted that it looked like a planet (big and bright) but it was far too big. It stayed stationary and we pointed it out to my son, but at a certain point my mother in law noted that it appeared to be getting bigger and moving closer to us.

Seconds later it was near us and we acknowledged that it was a round object with white/yellow lights and a red light on the bottom. I slowed down to look at it and by then it was huge and close to the car. It was still round, but I noticed three white/yellow lights in a circular shape with a large red light in the center. It hovered over the treetops and by then it was huge, larger than my car. I got nervous and decided to start driving again and as I started to move it moved to the other side of the road and disappeared.

My mother in law and I were stunned and couldn’t believe what we had seen, it was the strangest thing we had ever seen. We talked about it the day after it happened and recalled that while it was large and right over top of us we never once heard any noise, and the radio was off (we had been talking). The sheer size of the object in comparison to our car was also something that we noted as well as the lights lighting up the inside of our car briefly while it was over us. The entire encounter lasted right around 2-3 minutes and the incident occurred 2 miles from where we live.

Line of numerous lights moving in unison toward the west, disappearing and reappearing, multiple witnesses. Possibly a single object.

This event was also reported to MUFON, reference case report 74899.

The event details are as follows: On 29 FEB, 2016, at approximately 18:20, a co-worker and myself saw something we cannot explain while returning to our work center from lunch.

Driving north from a restaurant about a mile from our work center, we first noticed the object about halfway through the drive back. It was dusk and the sky was darkening, with thin clouds to the north and east.

The object was a bright string of lights located to the north, approximately 25-30 degrees above the horizon, moving slowly in a westerly direction. The light nearest the "front" of the object was of a reddish orange color, and a bit brighter than the rest. Trailing behind this red light was a line of numerous yellow, somewhat dimmer lights that were spaced very closely together.

For the first 10-15 seconds after spotting the object, it continued to move slowly towards the west and the lights appeared to pulse or waver slightly, possibly due to atmospheric turbulence. After this 10-15 second period, all of the lights started to dim and then disappear from sight. This object remained invisible for approximately 5 seconds, when suddenly it began to re-appear.

Once it reached full brightness and size, I could discern that the lights were not an exact straight line, but seemed to curve under and out at the front of the object. I infer from this effect that the lights were possibly arranged in a V or chevron pattern, and that I was observing the object nearly edge on. The details of the shape can be viewed in the included rough sketch. The object continued moving west for approximately 10 more seconds before fading from view again, disappearing permanently this time. At no time was I able to see a solid object. There were two other witness that I know of at my work center that saw the object as well.

My coworker and I have years of military experience between us in the USAF. Neither one of us had ever seen an object quite like this. There are many types of aircraft that operate at Edwards AFB, nothing we know of matches the behavior of these lights. It is our opinion that these lights were not aerial flares. They moved in unison and did not vary in altitude. What we saw was either a large group of objects flying in a extremely tight formation, or that these lights were part of a single, large object. The behavior and consistent altitude of the lights, the distance between them and the lateral motion leads me to believe they were part of the same object.

Also, I believe there are witness to the same event outside my exact location. Reference MUFON case number 74891, a report made on the same day in California City of a very similar object. California City is located 15 miles north east of Edwards AFB.

A small red light ascended then disappeared

I was driving in a rural area at approximately 8:00PM on December 28th, 2012. I was coming down a large hill and approaching an intersection next to a small town called Edwards in Illinois. I was driving North and on the left side of the road there is this small area that I believe is dedicated to preserving native prairie grass. Out of that area, I saw a light ascend at about a 70 degree angle for approximately 6 seconds. The light was reddish and small and shaped like a cigar.

After 6 seconds the light disappeared. I was near an airport when this happened but the object was moving much faster than any aircraft I have ever seen and also like I said, it seemed to lauch off of the ground and was very small. The closest comparison I can think of is to a firework, a roman candle specifically.

However this object did not behave like a firework, it was a steady light source and it maintained a straight trajectory. Another comparison would be a laser ligh! t or possibly a falling star.

I am not trying to say that this was an alien spacecraft or anything like that but I am genuinely curious what this could have been.

I can't think of any reasonable explanation. I have heard of rods but I would like to think there is a more reasonable explanation.

3 ufo"s 10-15 miles apart looked like stars crisp light changing color moving slow and steady west south west

They were at a slow unatual pace i would say for a plan. They looked like shining stars changing color with intense crisp light. Heading west south west. They were about 10-15 miles apart possibly more. Distance was hard to judge.

Location: Approximately 10-12 miles NNE of Edwards AFB off of Cuddeback Dry Lake

Two witnesses (a Marine 21 years of age and a student pilot 20 years of age) report laser type light moving at or near ground level then suddenly moving up vertical several hundred feet looking towards east.

Light appears intermittently in colors red and white (not position lights on an aircraft) steady for awhile then they will disappear only to show up again.

Light appears two to three miles away from subject location. The light appeared to make a 180-degree movement to the south at a extreme high rate of speed still seemingly to target witnesses location.

Currently 0300 11.23.08, witnesses packing up and leaving location. Light at this time no longer visible. There is no noise associated with this object.

0309 - light now overhead appears orange(ish) and followng.

0310 - Lost phone contact.

Very bright light in eastern sky. Seemed to move very fast in all different directions. Took digital pictures and the pictires look like a disk streaking in different directions. Could be sirius? Or Venus? It sure did move alot to be a star. It also changed Brightness frequently. It continued to move higher and to the south.

I saw a large black disc travel from east to west in the Lake of the Ozarks area.

I was babysitting for a friend of mine. At about 9:00 PM CDT, we went > out to look for stars. It was 1980 or 1981 in my home town of Edwards NY. I was up late one night and saw three objects above the meadow of the farm acrossed the the road from my home.

My family hunted a lot so there was a spare rifle scope in the gun cabinet. I took it with me crossed two roads to the back meadow.

It was funny it was like the object could sence me getting closer because at first they where right over the meadow and seem to back off as I walk closer. With the 3X9 scope I could see they looked like a clam shell shape and with several different color that seem to strobe and they seem to be hovering not flying. That is what struck me as weird and there was no engine noise. They seem also to be in a slight V formation.

I was only 15 or 16 and heard some strange noise in the tree near me so turn and run back to the house. When I got back to the house about 400-500 yard. I turn and they were gone.

I never told to many people because I was by myself and most people do not believe in UFO's. I thought it might be the ARMY testing something because FORT DRUM is about forty mile from my old home stead.
