Just strange blinking lights shooting up an down the sky then shooting off which then returned making not on sound an flying off again then what seemed like fighter jets searching around

saw an orange-yellow circular glowing light in the sky

I was driving and saw an orange-yellow circular "burning" light in the sky. I asked my girlfriend what it was and she was as confused as I was.

At first we thought it was a helicopter with a dim light.

We then noticed it was not moving the way a plane would.

We drove closer my girlfriend said maybe it was a Chinese lantern because all it seemed to do was float. After a few min the light dimmed out an disappeared.

We have no explanation to what it is

05/10/09 Tobay Beach N.Y. A silver reflective circle shaped object flying from west to east above an airplane

On Mothers Day I took my family to the beach for a picnic and to relax and have some fun. The sky was mostly clear with a few light clouds. I was watching a plane fly over and above that was small silver reflective circle shaped object flying from west to east.

I pointed it out to my wife and my 12 year old son who also saw it. We watched it for about 10 minutes until it went behind some clouds and did not see it again after that.

Bright Light on Meadowbrook State Parkway

I was driving Northbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkways, right around Jones Beach. I was alone in the car going for a joyride. I remember thinking to myself, "I know I am going to see something extraordinary tonight."

Where I was driving, there is a lot of air traffic. I'm very familiar with a lot of the aircrafts, frankly because I see them every night. I remember looking toward the north sky, and seeing about 3 airplanes. I looked back to the road, and noticed I was the only car driving Northbound (for at least a couple of miles). I looked back to where the planes were, and saw a huge white light in the middle of the sky. It looked unfamiliar to me. There were no flashing lights, or anything else that may have caused it to be recognized as an airplane. It was moving very slow. I was going about 40 mph (because I was the only one on the parkway). It slowly glided down the sky, and ended up on my left side, over the water. It stayed in that position, seeming to be following me, for about 7 minutes. Then it looked as if it was getting farther away... I drover under the overpass. Coming out the other side, I looked back to the sky, and the light was brighter than ever. It was if it had gotten closer in those few seconds. I was in total disbelief. I became scared because in my heart I knew something was watching me. I began to move slower. I took my eyes off of it for the last time. I looked back and it was gone.

LONG ISLAND NY UFO

There was a meteor shower tonight so me , my father and two friends went outside to look. As soon as I got outside something seemed off about this "star". Unfortunetly I did not see any meteors, my dad saw one and my friends saw none as well. But I just could not get my attention off this hovering object. At first glanceit appeared to be a star, but the more I looked at this object the more it became clear to me that it was not a metoer, a comet, a star or a planet. This object was rotating in full circles while simultaneously appearing to hover all over the place(left to right, up & down). It had flashing lights...at one point I thought I saw red lights. I have always been into stars and planets and meteors, but not once have i seen anything quite like this. In the back of my head I thought it could have been a satellite...but I;ve seen those before, and it appeared nothing like that. The shape is difficult to answer,..at one moment it appeared so clear and visible and at another moment it appeared so distant and vague. I just cant pit it into words what I truly saw...

four white lights in a straight line with one another.

On march 29, 2005, I wittnesed four lights that were in a line with one another. The objects appeared to be at a equal distance to one another. I was looking off to the west toward nyc and JFK airport. It was 11:00 pm.

The objects hovered most of the time and than one of the objects moved slowly toward another and went on top of the other. When this happen the object on top began to glow a very bright white light. The other three objects were mostly still but at times moved across the horizon slowly.

At times they would become bright and than dim. The lights moved parellel to the horizon line.

This was the second time I saw these lights. The first time was superboewl night at 9:00pm. They exhibited the same behavior.

I have lived in Long Island, atlantic beach for 25 years in the same location. Besides these two sightings I have never seen this before. Four other people wittnesed the same thing.

Finally, I contacted JFK and the local fort hamilton airforce base and both have said they were unaware of the lights.This excludes an airplane of helicopters.

Glowing object in Nassau County, NY on 5/27/00

While driving on the Southern State parkway, a large, glowing object with flashing lights along the bottom appeared in th sky. We first thought it was an arplane or water tower, but as it got larger and closer, it appeared to have a hub or dome on the top of it. It was dificult to view b/c we were moving on the parkway and trees were obscuring our view. We tried to get off the parkway to retrace our steps to see it again, but it was gone. At one point, it turned and had an ovoid shape. The dome on the top was more visible and appeared like a circle. The main thing about it was that it was glowing and the details viewed were a result of varying amounts of "glow." There were no definite lines that defined it. Actually, at the exact point that we viewed this object, there was car that had veered off the parkwa minutes before our arrival and struck a tree. We wondered if that person had seen it too.

NUFORC Note--The report seems to us to be somewhat reminiscent of a blimp. We have received many reports of blimps from the NYC area. However, we are not aware of blimps that have the cockpit on top of the gas envelope. We do not know what gave rise this report. PD

Triangular object seen hovering over my car making no sound at alll, viewed by myself and my daughter

Ok first I just want to say that I have never talked about this with anyone but my wife and my daughter.

Although I am a firm believer in the UFO phenomenon I tend to NOT discuss it with the "average Joe".

Ok here goes.

It was 10/31/99 approximately 6:45 PM I was taking (my then 5 year old daughter) to her aunts to meet up with my wife (her mom) so she and her cousins could all go trick or treating together.

We hopped in our Plymouth POS. and headed for my sister in laws house, at about 7:00 PM we where just about 5 miles from her house when we crested this small hill running between two very large corn fields, as we peeked the top and headed down the other side our car stalled, now I must inform you that our car had a tendency to overheat OFTEN so this was nothing new to me so I threw the car into neutral and let it coast down the hill until we came to a gentle stop at the bottom.

Once we stopped I got out of the car and opened the hood as to release some of the heat, it was a cool night so I decided to light up smoke and wait my daughter was asleep in her car seat in the back and I never smoked near my children so it was kind of a perfect situation for a smoke.

As usual as soon as I lit up it started to rain (not a heavy rain but a light sprinkle) but enough to send me into a retreat into my car so I threw away my cigarette and as I grabbed the door handle the rain stopped and I remember feeling aggravated and thinking dam I just threw my smoke away and that’s when I realized it was still raining, I could hear it raining all around me then I came to realize also that it WASN'T raining on me or my car that’s when I looked up.

To my utter shock and surprise there above my head was this absolutely huge... how else can I say it UFO it was triangular shaped but not a normal triangle shape the sides of the triangle were curved and I could also see some detail, for instance the bottom (that was really the only side I could see) I saw curved indentations and grooves cut into the surface but the weirdest thing was that nothing appeared to be uniform it all appeared to be random if that’s the word I can use, and there was NO SOUND none at all man it was really strange that it was totally silent just sitting there in the sky motionless and that coupled with the fact that it was raining all around me but not on me I’m getting goose bumps remembering all this as I’m typing this.

As if all this wasn’t enough, while I was standing there taking all this in a light turned on and shown down on top of my car that’s when my daughter woke up she called out to me and I got in the car, once in the car I instinctively locked all the doors then I noticed that this light that was shining down into my car was shinning everywhere, now when I say this I MEAN IT WAS SHINING EVERYWHERE it was like looking at a negative...everything my daughter, the seats, the dash, everything was like looking at a photographic negative it was so very strange and just as quickly as it came the light was gone I quickly rolled down the window of the car and looked up and this huge object floated away to my left ( I’m not quite sure of the exact direction ) north I think, and there was absolutely no sound, once it was over the cornfield the light shown down again this time illuminating a rabbit that was out in the field, the rabbit started to run the beam followed it for a short time then it turned off again.

I slowly got back out of the car I was standing there for just a second and then it left so fast I almost couldn't determine what direction it went, I mean it was just gone and not a sound not even a peep to this day I have dreams about this incident and I have even talked to my daughter about it she says she remembers something but I think she just humoring me she was just to young to remember but I appreciate what she’s trying to do. Well that’s my story I have other sightings but none as dramatic as this one thanks for reading this.
