Saw a very bright light in the field ahead and slowed down the truck. Saw a large, brightly lit, oval-shaped craft, emitting a light yellow-gold in color ascending into the sky at the same even speed an elevator would ascend. Once it came close to the clouds, it took off to the left and disappeared from sight. Husband got out of the truck to look and saw it elsewhere in the sky traveling at a high rate of speed. At that moment, his friend called & informed him that his son and friend had seen the same thing about 10-14 miles away and had caught it on video. We have the video.

We were sitting on the roof of our apartment, and noticed a strange light in the sky. It did not move like a plane as it was changing speeds and going in several different directions. Sometimes it became dimmer or very bright, also sometimes changed to a red-ish color. Circled around the area of the sky we could see for about 30 minutes.

Orange/reddish light, slightly pulsating in brightness (~4 sec intervals) moving from southeast to south. Occured 3 times.

About 9:00pm, while watching TV from my recliner, I glanced out the sliding glass doors and noticed a fairly bright orange/reddish light to the southeast. My first thought was it's probably a jet with its landing lights still on after departing from an airport in the NYC area. But the color seemed wrong and there was no strobe light flashing as would normally be expected. So, I grabbed my binoculars for a closer look and saw that it was not a typical aircraft. Initially it appeared to be moving in my general direction but then began moving to my right, heading south without a change in brightness, thus ruling out landing lights which are very directional. It quickly sped up and began to fade rather rapidly. I scrambled to get my DSLR camera with a 200mm telephoto lens but by the time I was ready to shoot the object was very faint, and finally vanished. But then, it either reappeared or a new one appeared to the southeast and was quite bright, perhaps a bit brighter than a typical sodium vapor street light seen from about a half mile (0.75km). The object again started moving upward and southward and over the course of about 1-2 minutes faded into the thin clouds (at about 10,000 ft) until it disappeared, ... only to again reappear brightly near the last one's starting point. This third pass was the last one. I did manage to get some shaky video and sorted through the video to find a few good representative frames that I then merged into a single image. Taking hand held video with a telephoto lens is no easy task. After the object passed for the third time I figured I'd get a tripod, but the object did not return during the next few hours and I finally gave up looking. The camera's focus and details in the image are a bit suspect but the image is a good representation of what I saw. Again, without much prep and mediocre camera skills, not an easy video to take. Saw a similar object back in Aug 2018 and was told, rather dismissively, "drone". Haven't heard of any amateur drones that glow bright orange, can fly for several miles from the controller and can go to 10K feet altitude. Military Drone? Flying over boring Southern NY, glowing brightly for everyone to see? Okay then, tax dollars well spent? For what it's worth I've always been an enthusiastic sky-watcher, weather watcher, avid amateur astronomer my whole life, a private pilot, and have a mechanical engineering degree to go along with my love of all things science. For 10-yrs of my engineering career I worked for a government contractor on, ... well, "stuff". i.e. "Deep Stuff", so I have that background as well. I know where planets/stars appear in the sky and what they look like, and what the ISS, satellites, meteors, fireballs and comets look like as well. I love aviation, owned a small plane for several years, been to many airshows and know how planes can appear in the sky both day and night. This object did not fit my observational experience, hence, UFO. Don't know what it was but I know a lot of what it wasn't.

Bright green streak

Traveling on NY-17W approx 1030pm there was a bright green light that appeared in the sky. It went downwards and to the left in a streak form, then disappeared. It was dark out with a very clear night sky. There were 6 other cars on the highway and every one of us saw something and hit our brakes. The light was almost blinding bright.

About 10 to 15 white lights in a line seen in Upstate New York

I came home after a walk because the sun was starting to set. Went out onto my back porch and looked up into the sky and saw 4 or 5 white lights that looked like stars moving forward in a straight line all at the same pace. They were directly above my head and weren’t moving very fast although as they kept moving forward I saw more of them appear in my field of view. As they kept moving on I saw about 10 to 15 of them in total still in the formation of a straight line moving slowly forward away from where I can see them. I did try to get this on video but my phone wouldn’t focus and on video it just looked like a blurry clip of the dark blue clouds. I saw these lights go on for about 10 minutes I want to say.

Green light illuminating my window, but from no source.

I am reporting this here as recommended by someone who heard my situation.

Woke up around 6am to the dog jumping on my bed and running in a circle before running away, never barking as she would if there was something or someone outside. I tried to go back to sleep but realized there was something lighting up my room. Again, tried to ignore the light thinking it was a neighbor going to work or something, but 20 minutes later I am still trying to get to sleep and the light was so bright I could see it flashing even though my eyes were closed.

I got out of bed and crept around the dark room looking outside for signs of someone messing with me, or a car, etc - nothing. My only 2 neighbors at the top of this dead end hill were already gone for work. I realized the light was only on one side of the room, in the window , illuminating it in the same way a lightning bug would, except it illuminated the whole 5 feet of window space/frame. I looked all around inside the room, in the windowsill, and what I could see from the window, nothing but the uphill sight of trees with so much snow I can see anything that moves out there, but saw nothing and heard nothing.

At this point I got scared, because I realized the only place it could be coming from that I couldn’t see, was directly underneath the window: a place I couldn’t see unless I went outside and I was too scared. The next day, though, I checked and there were no footsteps or marks in the snow so that wasn’t where the light was coming from.

I have blue solar lights out there, but this light was green like christmas light green. The light was on steady for 10 seconds, off for 5, and it lasted so long that after not being able to find the cause I got into bed with a knife and just sat listening for sounds, to get up and react to, nothing but the light, and I fell asleep counting the seconds of the light pulses, strangely seeing it with my eyes closed.

I live on the edge of a large uninhabited area that borders a rock quarry. Also close to the borderline between Binghamton, NY, and Conklin, NY, where I see there was a reporting 50+ years ago. A lot of military contract type of businesses (BAE, IBM, Lockheed, etc) so I haven’t thought twice about the military (looking) helicopter I see or hear 2-3 times a week but wouldn’t you know that the day after these lights scared me, Helicopter (or multiple) kept going over this house repeatedly, at least 10 times between 9 am and noon, to the point that I stopped paying attention.

Just for the record, the only other strange thing here is once in awhile I hear a helicopter sound like it is right above but then there will be nothing there, absolutely no craft yet the sound as if it is close.

3 periodic neon blue flashes lighting up entire night sky. Each time the electicity went out. Incident lasted under 5 mins.

On December 6, 2016, at approx 10pm or 11pm 4 Separate households housing 5 witnesses and 2 witnesses sitting outside in a motor vehicle saw the ENTIRE night sky change into a neon blue flash 3 times in a row. I would compare the flash to lightening, very bright, very blue, very vast and without a strike or thunder. Three residence are each a several miles in proximity to each other, and certainly not walking distance. They are too far from each each other for this to have been a simple transformer malfunction and it is no exaggeration that the ENTIRE sky lit up neon blue. The two people in the car were sitting outside of one of the residence. This happened as follows: -The entire night sky became a brief Neon flash accompanied by a vibration (felt by one household) a loud humming (heard by another household)and immediately following the flash the electricity went out. This was experienced by each witness that was at home. After about 15-20 seconds the elect! ric returned. 20 seconds after that the sky flashed neon blue again and the exact things were heard and felt and the electric again went out in the entire area, for approx 15 seconds and then came back on. The third time it happened, which was about 10 seconds later, the lights were off for even lesser of a time, maybe 5 seconds. Each time it seemed as though the flashes and the length of time between flashes and time the electric stayed off and took to come back on got shorter. I myself expected there to be a write up about it in the newspaper the next day. NOTHING. Nothing on the news. One observers house rests way up upon a hill overlooking the entire city. It has giant glass windows in the 'great room'. He said he was fortunate enough to see it happen and view all of the lights in the city area that he is able to see, which is quite large, go out each time the sky flashed. He also stated that he saw no object in the sky and that the blue light WAS the entire sky and tha! t the blue flash did not appear to have an epicenter. The following day, December 7, 2016, I contacted New York State Electric and Gas and they told me they had no record of ANY power outages in the area what so ever for the date of December 6, 2016, in Binghamton, NY.

(Description of background of observers: #1 whom also heard the loud hum, is a college educated 54 year old female Medical Record Tech. Mother of 2, Grandmother of 7. Has large bedroom window overlooking a small field and then the river. She leaves curtains open due to nice view. #2 and #3 Stay at home mom 26 years old and her 7 year old son, she felt the strong vibration. I am unclear if her son felt the vibration as well, but he came out of his room to tell his mom about the light but she had already seen it. The power outage had interrupted his gaming and he saw the light through black colored room darkening curtains. #4 Successful business owner, 29 year old married male, father of 2. Owns two homes and a business. He saw the incident from atop of the hill overlooking the city. #5 and #6 The two witnesses that were sitting in the car..it is unclear of their background. They were picking up a child from his mothers house. When witness #2 went outside to look around witnes! s #5 and #6 got out of their car and talked to her about what they saw and what could possibly have happened. #7 Neighbor of #1, unclear of background but he did ask me (#1) the follow day after the incident if I had "seen the blue sky flashes and did your lights go out?".

It was flying a distance away, it was blinking, and I couldn't make out a shape.

The object I saw was a good distance away. I'm not very good at telling distances but maybe around 20-25 miles away. When I first saw it, It seemed to be a plane but when I took a second glance it was very odd.

It was flying horizontally across the night sky. It flew straight like a plane. It Also seemed to have blinkers on, also second glance I notice that the blinkers were like three separate lights. First one would go off the back of the object, then the middle, and then the front and go back the end of the object and start al over.

Next Thing after it completed three blinks it seemed to skip forward a little bit and then start the blinking process all over again. Now I couldn't make out if it was a plane shape at all but it flew straight like one. I don't have an illustration because my camera wouldn't be able to pick anything at the distance up, and I couldn't make out a shape either. Hope this helps.

Fleet of metalic objects over Binghamton, N.Y..

My 5 year old daughter and I observed what at first seemed to be flock of birds moving east to west over the southern end of downtown Binghamton, N.Y.

There were 20 to 30 of these objects flying together and repeatedly transitioning from a "v" formation to a "w" then spreading away from each other into a cloud.

These object were metallic and highly reflective against the blue sky.

The time was around 4 pm and the sun was low and opposite to the part of the sky the objects were flying in.

The individual objects themselves seemed to be like a rounded chevron, with the rounded end facing forward though being at a distance of a few thousand feet it was hard to tell for sure.

These objects remained visible for ten or fifteen minutes then our view was obstructed by buildings.

We tried to walk to a better vantage point but could not locate the objects after that.

Object with rapidly flashing lights gliding through night sky silently over Binghamton,NY

On the evening of June 5, 2013, at 10:05 pm my adult daughter and I observed an oddly moving flying craft with several strobe lights rapidly flashing--one was red and others were white. Flashing was very bright and continuous.

Object moved quite rapidly across the sky, overhead and slightly to the south. It moved from east to west,northwest. It appeared closer than a commercial jet but made no sound whatsoever. It made a gliding /floating type of drift through the sky but was definitely propelled forward quite rapidly.

The night sky was calm and clear, stars were visible. We watched the object for about 2 - 3 minutes. Flashing remained consistent as did the direction and speed of the object. The movement reminded me of a helicopter, however, the lack of any sound was not consistent with a helicopter.

Bright reddish lights over town, during rush hour.

After driving down a connecting road to Main street, Binghamton, my wife saw strange reddish glowing lights in formation, I too looked and saw them. Many others saw them.

People on the sidewalk as well as other drivers who stopped. Mind you this was 5p.m traffic.The object seemed to be in a triangle or diamond shape. It appeared to be pulsing this reddish light, but very much not a strobe on a plane, or a helicopter.

Then as we left a parking lot a very loud bang was heard. It sounded like a gunshot but was very loud and could be heard a great distant away. We know this because our neighbor also heard this at her home a half mile away.

Vessel with huge bright lights stops and turns before Vanishing!

On Saturday evening, August 18, 2012 @ approximately 9pm, I was at a friend’s house for a barbeque. Four of us were downstairs on the patio when we started to notice two huge lights from what we thought was an airplane. We commented on how big the headlights were when all of a sudden we saw this thing slow down and then it started to speed up and then it slowed down again to a STOP! At one time we all said an airplane can’t do that. I also notice there was small red lights going up off this vessel that was visible in the sky. I asked my friend if he had binoculars and to get them. By this time this vessel made a right hand turn and started moving away and vanished. The lights were so big and bright you could not see the shape of it.

We watched other airplanes that night fly over in certain fly patterns which this vessel seem to be in as well, before it made an about turn to the right and vanish. All the airplanes we saw had the red light at the wing and we could see them flying for a long distance on this clear night. This vessel was not following the same pattern the rest of the planes did and was not visible in a matter of a second. This aircraft had no sound to it at all, it was just there. This craft also flew lower than the other planes that were in the same fly pattern. What it was, I don’t know.

On Wednesday morning I was talking to a girl from Italy on Facebook. As we chatted, she tells me her Mother, Father and her also witness a UFO that same night at 9 pm. Could it be the same one? I was fascinated and stunned at the same time. If it is the same aircraft or vessel, it had to travel awful fast to be here where we saw it. She said her father works with airplanes all the time and he said that he knows that could be not a plane or helicopter for that matter.

On the evening stated, I was watching a light go from south to northeast in the sky. I thought it may have been the ISS, but according to the internet, it was not to be in the area for a bout 10 minutes. About 10 minutes later, the ISS went by from North to NE like it was supposed to, but was trailed by another light behind, about the distance of putting a closed fist out at arms length. It trailed it perfectly for 5 minutes until both went beyond the horizon.

letting the dogs out Tuesday night, I was gazing up at the wonderful clear sky, I noticed a moving object to the south..pinkish/red.. I thought it was a sattelite, it was moving faster than a plane..and not blinking. I'll say I noticed it at about 9 oclock relative to the sky, at about 11 oclock relative to sky it was joined by a second object..same color moving parallel to each other, at about 1 oclock relative to sky it was joined by a 3rd..all 3 moving side by side..at about the 2 oclock position, the light on the outside right swerved in towards the middle light..the middle light swerved as a reaction(my guess) then all 3 went back into formation. all this happened in about 8 seconds..from south horizon to north horizon...no plane goes that fast nor do sattlites

Round fireball object witness in Binghamton, NY

I was driving with my sister at 3am when we witness a fireball object in the sky. The object was about 300 feet away from us. It was a bright round fireball object that moved slowly from the sky then suddenly it disappeared.

Unknown craft moving over Binghamton

At approximately 10 PM, a bright light was noticed above the horizon. It appeared to be still, but it became apparent that it was approaching us at a very slight angle. As it approached, we noticed that it made no sound, and was moving very slowly, so we assumed it had to be proceeding at a high elevation. However, at its closest, we noticed that it was close enough for the silhouette to be visible, and not only was it not a recognizable plane, but it did not appear to have wings. It seemed to be only a short distance above the treetops, not much larger than a large van, and had blinking lights around its edges. Since we were driving, we turned when it passed, but it seemed to accelerate beyond the trees and over the horizon before we could follow it.

There were 15-20 bright orbs in the south east horizon in the city of binghamton.

I was walking home and stopped at a gas station And noticed the bright red orbs.

I alerted other patrons and everyone was Concerned and people including myself began Filming and photographing them.

Some have been added to YouTube, These red orbs rose in to the sky making no Noise and moving very slow and then vanishing As more red orbs rose.

I made 2 calls to 911 to report this incident.

Multiple red lights over Binghamton, NY

I was walking north Broad Ave and notice in the South East sky that 16-26 red lights rose slowly in the sky and as they rose the top one's disapeared and and more kept raising.

They were bright red lights moving slowly making no noise and vanishing soon after reaching a point in the sky.

I called 911 and made 2 reports and noone came to take my report, i guess they took me as a hoax. but there was up to a dozen people watching this event.

I did manage to take a few photo's and a short video with my iphone but it hard to determine the size or what the lights are.

3 objects one slowly moving to the left and back with white and red lights 2 other moving objects flashing 5 dim red lights with white

I was first told by my roommate to come outside there was something strange in the sky. I came out to witness what at first looked like a star but after watching it blinked lights at first white but than would turn all red it was moving but only to the left a little than returning back to It's original spot the lights looked like 3 sets above a set of 4 lights making a total of 7 lights after watching for a bit we noticed an another object to the left of the other coming up and moving slowly at first we thought an airplane but this wasnt the case this triangle shaped object had dim red lights about 5 total with a very faint white glow around them it moved really slowly after we noticed another object this time with 5 lights that all blinked simultaneously a bright white it moved slowly I only had my iPhone present and my camera didn't touch what we were seeing I wanted to wait longer to see if the first initial object would eventually move along with the rest but for the next 10 minutes it sat there I had to give up because i had work in the morning this isn't the first sighting in our area just 2 weeks before our news broadcasted 2 other individuals who reported seeing peculiar objects in the sky I was pretty intrigued by these objects I just wished a professional could have seen them hope this was helpful to anyone who feels they have seen what I saw Thank you!

upstate NY sighting

I think I could probably draw it easier than describe it - what caught my attention was the lights coming downward in our direction - i saw it thru the window while we watched a movie. It was going really slow - and the lights were (i believe) blue & white. I went outside & looked at it & heard NO NOISE at all! and even though it appeared to be going slow - it covered a large distance in just a couple minutes it was out of sight. Imagine a hammerhead shark - the "wings" were curved like a partial C, and then the "tail" part was very very short. The wings looked ot be 4 times as long as the little stub of a tail. the lights alternated, one color then the other. It may have been green & blue - very bright. I went outside thinking it was a plane of some sort, and we do have lockheed martin & other military contracter factory -type places, but after seeing it I didnt think it was a plane at all. There was no electrical problems/interruptions - but the satellite went out - as it has been a lot with no weather conditions to cause it. Saw the thin, single-strand contrail (approximately four inches at arms length) of a rapidly-moving high-flying object in a cloudless, clear-blue afternoon sky. The contrail, formed by unevenly-spaced pulses, quickly dissipated. Could not see the eastbound aircraft itself with the naked eye. Estimate that it was flying higher than crosscountry jetliners, which appear to move slowly across the sky at cruising altitude. Initially saw the contrail of this object as it moved directly overhead. It disappeared in the distance with amazing speed. Viewing location was somewhat noisy so cannot report any sounds.

FL340 40NM South of KBGM

While Flying at FL340 (34000) Westbound on a flight plan from KLGA to KMCI (New York, LGA Airport to Kansas City, MCI) performing duties associated with my job as a First Officer, I noticed a very large strobe at my three O'clock position and at an altitude approximately 20 to 30 thousand feet above us tracking SSW. No object outline was seen. Its apparent speed was slow, but in a South Direction.

Object "strobed" approximately once every 7 seconds, as it moved in what appeared a straight line. I asked the Captain if he could see what I saw, but from his seating position in the aircraft, and the height of the sighting, he could not, and did not get out of his seat. We turned down the "DU"s...(Data display units) in the aircraft to rule out any reflections from inside the cockpit. I called NY Center and asked them if they had any traffic or military traffic 20 to 30 thousand feet above and behind us and he indicated that he only had a Falcon Jet behind us going North... "Center" asked other aircraft in our general area, if they could see any other traffic on their TCAS, or visually if they had any other reports. I think we were talking to NY Center, as our position was about 40NM south of KBGM (Binghampton, NY). As the object passed above and behind us, I was indicating to the Captain where to look out his rear Clearview window to see the object. He did not see it, as we were flying Westbound and the object was proceeding Southbound. We were out of range visually.

All Aircraft reported nothing. I think they asked Southwest and American, and possibly United. At the end of the sighting the time was 0020 Zulu or about 19:20 Eastern Time local. I don't believe it was a satellite, as the sun was down, and satellites dont have strobes. I have not run Nova Satellite prediction software, so I don't know if satellites were in the area. http://www.nlsa.com/index.html Air Traffic Controller indicated that he was not surprised at the sighting as he receives them from time to time.

To Clarify: In my report I refer to "object". I could see no object just a visible strobe. No position lights.

I also thought when I first saw the strobe that it could be a distant star going supernovae. Just a thought, as I was trying to figure out what it was.

This may not be reportable, but I feel that I must publish it. While going east to west in Binghamton, I was watching what appeared to be a twin engine military transport type plane make circles over the valley by Broome Community College, and Otsiningo Park by the Binghamton/Port Dickinson line. It was spewing thick black exhasut only intermitantly as it flew. To note" the plane was only 1000 ft above the city. After about 10-15 minutes of this, it flew off towards the NW over Endwell and Maine, NY. This is becoming a frquent occurance. The plane is usually grey with no symbols, tail color, or numbers on it. Once it was seen as white with an orange tail. I find these colors to be very peculiar. About a year and a half ago, I saw this plane do the same thing even lower over the city. It was a warm day, and I had the window open. It was spewing out the same thick smoke. After a little while, I started to have throat iratation, and sinus pain. Very unusal for me. Is anyone else seeing this? Please let the world know.

By the way, this plane comes around whenever there is UFO activity in the area like Bainbridge and Vestal in the last month. Also, when this plane is around, there are no other aircraft in the sky, and Binghamton is 5 miles from a regularly used airport that services major cities.

My wife (at the time) and I were driving back from Toronto. We had attended a mediation course there. We had passed Binghamton, New York (some 20 minutes earlier) and were heading to Sullivan County. I was driving a silver Honda Accord. As were drove around a bend (which was obscured by a hill) there was a bright orange fireball (approximately 15 feet in diameter) to the right of the highway on a flat grassed area at the bottom of a hill. I did not observe a solid object above the fireball. The fireball was about 20 feet off the ground and 300 feet from our vehicle. The ball of fire suddenly shot up vertically and headed up to the stars at an incredible speed. I slowed down so we could watch it. I also turned around to see if the grass below it was alight. There was no evidence of any burning or smouldering. The fireball travelled at an incredible speed. It was observable to the naked eye as it shot up towards the stars. It made no sound at all.

I did not report this at the time because I was worried that people my think I am not of right mind. I was practising as an attorney then. My wife also did not report it because she held a senior teaching position and did not want any unnecessary attention.

Sphere heads north, turns, and then goes up!

My son and I were leaving to get in our car at a downtown business, when all of the sudden my son asked if a bright object was Mars. I said no, because Mars was in the southern sky, and this light was towards the north. We watched the object about 70 degrees above the horizon go in a straight line for north. Then, it made a curve towards the North-east (at 45 degrees above the horizon) , faded out like it was going higher into the atmosphere. This was not a satelite since it started at a dead stop. It was not a plane, since it had no wing blinking lights, and the object was too far up for that. The object was a pure white, no yellow. It was a sphere and only dimmed in intensity as it curved and head to higher altitudes until it was a tiny point, and kept going until other buildings obscured the view. This sight was only 3 miles form Johnson City where another report was recently made. Is the southern tier of NY becoming UFO central?

"STAR" makes a u-turn

I was looking towards the NW (towards Lake Ontario/Niagra falls area, but not that far away) sky and saw a large star move. It had a orange-white glow to it. It was traveling towards the NW for 10 seconds and it covered about 15 % of the sky before it made a dead stop, did a looped U-turn and then just "popped" out of sight. It was very high up, wasn't blnking like a plane, and was not a satellite. It was also not a meteorite or anything else of that sort. It was too slow for that, but too fast for a normal plane, and what kind of high altitude plane can stop on a dime and make a u-turn? To note: this was the night of the blackout in the NE, and half of the electric was out in the area which gave us a decent chance to see clearly what was up in the sky. There were also many criss-crossed chemtrails in the sky early the next morning. I thought this was weird since the NE had very few airline flights from the previous 16-20 hours.

We saw what appeared to be five or six craft, moving fast and changing color.

Myself and two friends were outside, in my backyard smoking cigarettes. We were not intoxicated or under the influence of any form of inhibiting substance. One of my friends was looking at the night sky, and told us to run over as quickly as possible. She pointed upwards, and pointed out five, possibly six bright yellowish lights flying in a tight formation. I thought they might be military craft, but as they flew, one of the lights turned a dark red, almost crimson color, and darted off at a ninety degree angle, flanking it's fellow craft and passing to the rear. The other craft split up and circled in violent turns to rally on the first ships rear. One of my friends reported hearing a sound, but that is unconfirmed, as neither my other friend or myself heard this sound. Suddenly, they broke fast and vanished. I know for a fact that no craft currently in use by any military force on this planet can manevuer like that. After the event, we ran inside to get a camera, and waited outside for quite some time, but nothing happened after that. I have reported a somewhat similiar occurance in the same neighborhood quite some time ago, and I have heard rumors from this area that sightings have occured in the past five or six years. Please DO NOT contact me via mail or telephone, but rather e-mail. Other people I live with are extremely skeptical, as was I before the first of these occurances happened.

2 groups or 4 orange lights that individually interchange in a non-cyclical pattern. Also, instant 90 degree turning ability.

There were 2 groupings of 4 orange lights that within each grouping would cross over one another. It appeared to be a cyclic pattern, but once they were closer to being over head, there was the same pattern of movement over and over. It took only 30 seconds or so for the crafts (or whatever) to go from one horizon to the other. As they got further away, and closer to the opposite horizon, they took an immediate 90 degree turn, without slowing and rapidly sped out of viewable sight. My brother and I witnessed this. We could make out no "craft" only the lights. The odd part about this was that they were no more than 300 to 400 yards above us. Another interesting observatyion that my brother brought to light was the fact that there were no clouds in the sky before we noticed these objects. Upon reeling from what we had both just witnessed, we realized that there were now thick clouds on the original horizon, and fog was now moving in . Very wierd. I do not think that this is anything more han coincidence, but thought I would state the fact. Let me say for the record that I mearly beleive that the possibility for other life in the universe "could" exist. After that event, I beleive that it does. At least something does.

A red sphere glowing object that moved extremely fast from place to place, hovered over the house, and then disappeared in a second.

The sky was very clear. I walked out of my parent’s home to get on my new motorcycle. I went to place my helmet on and happened to turn around to see if the door at the house was closed. As soon as I turned around I saw this hovering red glowing oblect (a very bright and dimming light). It was about 50 yards away from the house on the right hand side. The view of this object put me into serious shock...I was scared to death because it came down straight down towards the house (I was hiding behind my parent’s vehicle). It then flew very fast to the left of the house and was again in a dead stop. It then shot onto the top of the mountain for 5 to 10 seconds and back again to the same position that it was when I first saw it while it was glowing on and off. What I saw, I could not handle the scare it gave me. As soon as stood up behing the car, the object shot into the sky in a second and disappeared. I called the binghamton airport to ask if the was any airplanes, helicopters, or any objects flying around midnight. The airport told me that there was nothing flying in the vicinity of binghamton at all. It did not look like anything I have ever seen or thought existed. This object made no sound the whole time. I reported this by phone the morning after it happened to the Seattle UFO reporting center.

I was parked in my car on a side street waiting to go to work, the sky was very clear & blue. there was no motion on this street at the time. I look at the sky alot .. I looked up & to my left & noticed what appeared to be a crumpled piece of white paper moving along at a moderate( and steady) speed heading almost directly away from me. it held my intrest. as this thing moved away I noticed it was going at a steady speed and in a directly strait line, I then noticed there was NO wind at all so my flying garbage theory was shot. when I first saw it it was bright white& about the size of a big crumpled newspaper @ 40FT. as it moved away I saw that it was becoming more of a metalic shiny color. this is when I noticed it seemed to be... (no, it WAS) CHANGING SHAPE. it was a multi sided object the shape is nothing i can discribe.. it had corners & flat spots & appeared to be rolling forward. the course it took was straight & methodical. as it got farther away it looked very shiny & metalic it continued to "roll" forward untill it was out of sight. there was no one else around to witness it, & it was completley silent. sure wish I'd had my camera. I am interested to know if anyone else has seen similar.

UFO saucer seen Binghamton, NY, 1968-69

This sighting took place approx. 1968-1969 over Binghamton, NY. I recall my husband and I were returning home from seeing the movie "Rosemary's Baby" with Mia Farrow. My husband (soon to be ex, at the time) was a navy pilot who after 6+ (?) years active duty, was still very active on weekends logging as many flight hours as he could manage (helicopters).

Our house was in an older, established very residential area and our street was a rather steep hill from top to bottom. We lived about halfway up.

My husband noticed something around the time we neared our house, that was in the sky seemingly at the top of the hill. Where our street ended, another street intersected where if you turned left, you continued on up the hill for some ways and very shortly you were in a quite rural area with farms, fields, etc.

So he slowly proceeded past our house on up the hill out of curiosity, not really saying much. The object was huge and hanging apparently close to ground, not moving. Not making any sound. I was a little excited, my heart was speeding up, but I said nothing. I was young and trusted my husband in most matters, where if there were cause for alarm, he would not approach this thing and furthermore, as a pilot and a military officer, I figured he probably would be able to figure out what it was, etc. So I hung in there.

We got to a sort of level part of the road, about a half a block long, and it seemed we were really close to the object by then and had a pretty clear view of it, and since it was not moving, we pulled over beside the road and either stopped or idled the car and just sat there and stared at it.

There was a thickly wooded area across the intersecting street which we could see well from where we were. But I couldn't figure out exactly how close the thing was to us or to the trees. The wooded area was a small zoo actually; it did not seem that the object would have much opportunity to hover or land within the zoo area because it was rough terrain on foot, hilly and bumpy, etc. and the whole zoo area itself was small.

The craft must have been just above the height of the trees, because the treetops did not obstruct any part of my view of it. At any rate, probably if I were someone more mature than I was at the time, I could have estimated how far away it was, etc. All I can say is that from where I viewed it, which was actually too close for my comfort, it was at least the size of 5-6+ school buses. It was a definite saucer shape and the overall color was a dull, non reflecting finish, maybe dull dark gray. But there were lovely bright orange round lights spaced around the rim of the saucer. They were not the type of lights that were giving off light, or beams, they were just sort of lit from within.

And, on the dome part of the saucer, that is the hump part that sat on top of the saucer, there were seemingly windows spaced all the way around (I assumed, couldn't see anything but the side I was facing). They were rather small, rectangular shaped windows that were white, that is they emanated a white glow from within, not as bright lights but same as the orange lights in being lit from within.

I was extremely curious at this point, wishing I could get a glimpse of something inside, but these "windows" did not seem to be like regular windows on a house, that is, for the purpose of seeing in and out of. They could have been just white lights or some other part of the craft that looked like windows to me. Because the white of the rectangles seemed more of a solid white, you could not see through it.

At any rate, I do not recall any of the lights blinking, although it is possible that the orange lights could have been. I don't think so, though.

My husband and I just sat there looking at it for maybe 15 minutes, maybe more, sort of waiting for it to do something, but it did not do anything at all. It just hung there silently. It was a very clear night. I can remember how clearly I could see the thing. The outline of the dark parts of it were clearly visible because of the many street lights in the area. I could not see the underside of the craft, though. After awhile, my husband decided it was not going to do anything and so we drove home.

I do not recall us ever talking about it and I forgot about it mostly, although I would recall it any time the expression UFO came up. I guess I just subconsciously decided that my husband probably had a good idea what it was, etc, but I had known him to be involved with military missions that were very secret and he could never discuss any part of them with me and of course I never pressed him on those matters.

If I was wrong (and looking back I think I probably was), and he really had no idea what it was and was maybe even frightened by it, he would not have let me know that either, for not wanting to scare me. At that time he was away a lot (50% of the time or more) and we had 2 toddlers, and I am sure he would not want me getting all hysterical over this idea, especially since he no doubt saw no threat.

I was not a news person at that time, did not read newspapers etc. But my husband did, and I am pretty sure he would have mentioned it if he had seen any articles about it. He would have looked for them.

And in spite of where the craft was, in the midst of such a residential area, it was an extremely quiet neighborhood, and it's very unlikely anyone who lived there but us, saw the thing. It does seem likely, though, that people driving by might well have seen it, as we did. The road that ran alongside the zoo was a somewhat busy street, that is, at least busier than the street our house was on. I suppose you would not really call it busy, though. People were almost never outside or even awake (with inside house lights on) past 10:30 pm or so, on our street and nearby streets. The majority of residents were older, many retired folks. This was probably around midnight, give or take. I did not see any signs that any of the people were up and about as we drove up the hill, nor would I have expected to at that hour.

At that time, we had not lived there very long, a year or so, and I was not very friendly with my neighbors yet, and I never discussed this with any of them or asked around to see if anyone had seen anything. At that point in time, probably those particular folks would have gotten a bad opinion of me if I had!

In reading through the NUFORC website, I noted many older reports such as this, and so I decided it must still be relevant after all these years, so here it is. At least it feels somewhat relieving to tell it to someone.

I will attempt a rough drawing of the craft and enclose a Binghamton area map marked with the location, to be sent via snail mail. This will take a little time.

1952 UFO disk outside Binghamton, NY Girls' Club stops for a look at teenage females

This happened when I was 11 years old but I will never forget it. It was a life changing experience and I entered The University of Michigan as an astronomy major in 1958 as a direct result of fascination based on this event. It occurred at 9 pm as I was leaving the Binghamton Girls Club, at that time located at the intersection of Frederick and Liberty streets in Binghamton, NY. We were all dismissed at 9pm so the front yard was full of girls age 9-16, about 45-60 in number, heading for home. The date was approximate- but the moon was a crescent descending in the west. The object appeared in the southeast sky, looking like a shark's fin, or like a crescent moon cut in half by a cloud, but the sky was black, clear and cloudless. I was fascinated by the night sky and the beautiful stars even then, so I was constantly looking up at them. I may have been the first to notice this thing. As I looked at it, it was self illuminated- sort of a harvest moon orange color- no lights visable. It did the most incredible thing. As it drew closer and enlarged in size it flipped or sort of rolled over, I saw this whole thing very clearly, when it sort of turned over or revolved horizontally it appeared as a disk and approached us very quickly and stopped in the sky about 45 degrees up from the south horizon. There was no sound at all, but the machine appeared solid, and had a series of windows (?) or port holes (?) around the middle. I had the distinct feeling that we were being observed or scanned or something. It was a very oppressive feeling I had never experienced before. When someone yelled "it's a flying saucer" it started a stampede back into the Girl's Club door, if you can imagine a large number of teen-age girls all trying to get back into a small door all at once. We yelled at the 2 women directors that a flying saucer was outside, they reluctantly and (too) slowly went outside. By this time the machine had moved to the southeast and was much smaller in size, it quickly moved away in an apparent straight line becoming quickly smaller to an orange "point" and disappeared as it speeded away. " It's the moon " said our director, but I said "no" and showed her the crescent moon setting in the west. I checked the local paper next day but couldn't find report, but being very young maybe I didn't follow up on any reports. The thing looked most like an orange football or blimp shape with those portholes around the middle, but I know it was no blimp as they make a noise and cannot approach or speed away like this thing did.
