Multiple crafts, flying oddly

One craft flew from west to east — it flew mostly straight, then started making odd maneuvers that I can’t imagine a military plane would need to make. Another had flashing multicolored lights, but we also saw/heard a plane overhead and compared to a passenger plane what we were seeing was completely different. That one flew mostly straight. Multiple odd lights that almost flashed — we’d see it move, then it would disappear the reappear.

Black disk, no lights

On May 2, around 8:30ish pm, I observed a black disc-shaped object flying in a perfectly straight line across the sky. It moved at a constant speed, made no sound, had no lights, and showed no fluctuation or wobble—unlike any bird, drone, or conventional aircraft. The cloud coverage was low today due to a storm, if I had to guess, this would have been a max height at which a bird would fly, but it wasn't a bird.

It passed through the low clouds and disappeared into one after a few seconds. The object was very round and moved smoothly with no visible means of propulsion. I'm adding an image I designed to be a rendition of what I saw

2 Orbs flying faster than anything flew across my field of vision, drifted apart then together, instant acceleration, on cam

On 4/28/25 at about 9:30 PM, I witnessed 2 Orbs flying together in unison. They were flying faster than anything I've ever seen moving in the sky before, and they were clearly flying independently of one another, yet next to each other the whole time. Luckily I was video recording the sky before this moment in anticipation of this (because I have been seeing them constantly), but because they were moving so fast, I had trouble keeping them in the frame.

I was watching this one patch of sky when I suddenly see two satellites flare up simultaneously and on a trajectory that was rather unusual. They were about to criss-cross, and they were both in the perfect spot of the sky to flare up significantly, and it just created a really cool visual effect. This was going on near the Big Dipper, which I was not looking at at the time. So, these satellites drew my attention from one end of the sky to the other.

I get up and pick my tripod and iphone up, which was still recording. I had been recording for about 30mins at that point, hoping to see something unusual. I was about to pack it up and call it a night, but before I did, I wanted to see if the camera was good enough to at least detect the two really bright satellites I was watching criss-cross in the sky.

Within a few seconds of planting my eyes on that part of the sky, 2 white orbs suddenly blast across my field of vision and over the treeline. When I say "blast", I mean these things were bookin' it, they were moving wildly fast. They were 2 orbs of white light flying together in unison. As they passed directly in front of me, I could clearly see the two orbs drifting closer together and then further apart as they flew, confirming to me in that moment that this was two separate, independent objects moving together.

I couldn't believe my luck - not only was I already recording, but I was pointing the camera at the exact patch of sky that it came out of, and managed to capture a large chunk of the event. Especially the parts where it displayed some really crazy maneuver, including what I perceived to be instant acceleration.

Anyway, these two things fly directly across my field of vision. They came over the treeline close together, and as they zipped passed me, they spread further apart in flight. Then, as they continued on their way and turned left a little bit, they got tighter together again, coming out of their left turn and now turning right a little bit to resume a straight flight path. Then, as I was watching them fly off into the distance, I could clearly see the two orbs do a sudden "juke" or "zig" to the right, instantly. On the footage it appears similar to a camera artifact one might see when somebody moves their arm while recording or has shaky hands, but I saw this sudden movement with my own eyes - the sudden "zig" to the right you see on video is what happened and was witnessed by me and my naked eyes.

Then, right after it did that instant "zig" to the right, the 2 orbs suddenly began spreading apart from each other again and started banking left. Right before it began banking left, the one orb drifted into the 1:00 O'Clock position, and the other positioned itself at the 7 or 8:00 O'Clock position (in relation to one another), and together they banked left as if they were a single body, and I lost sight of them in the distance.

NOTE: This is not the first time I have seen something exactly like this. I have spammed your website with reports in the last few days because I am filing the reports all at once. I did not file right away because I wasn't entirely convinced what I was seeing was anomalous. Now, I know. This isn't normal at all. The first time I saw 2 orbs, they were exactly the same as this time. It was 3/25/25, some time between 6 and 7:00 PM. They were moving the same speed, looked exactly the same, were flying in unison just like this time, and they even pulled a 90 degree right angle turn without deceleration, and when they did so, they turned into pitch black pointed ovals. Upon leveling off from their turn, they began resuming a circular shape. I believe what I saw and what I captured on video on Monday, 4/28/25, is the same group of orbs (or at least the same phenomenon or technology) that I saw on 3/25/25.

I was in my back yard and noticed a white sphere overhead moving in a straight line in a north west direction. I tracked it a constant speed and trajectory for approximately 20 seconds until out of sight obstructed by trees. There were no clouds behind, just blue sky with plenty of sunlight.

I did not see any sign of propulsion or exhaust.

If I were to guess it was probably 1000 ft above ground level.

Saw the V-shaped cluster of lights/orbs 2nd night in a row. They flew over very fast, then banked and turned while climbing in altitude

On the evening of April 24, 2025, at approximately 10:20 PM, I observed an unusual aerial phenomenon while skywatching from my back deck. After letting my eyes adjust to the darkness, I detected a tight cluster of faint lights rapidly approaching from over the horizon to my left. I immediately raised my binoculars and locked onto the object, revealing a formation of small, steady, star-like lights arranged in a lopsided V-shaped pattern - identical to the formation I had seen the night before (also reported to NUFORC right before this).

Unlike the prior sighting, however, the lights were more easily visible to the naked eye, appearing as distinct, self-luminous points without any blinking or strobing. The formation moved extremely fast, transiting a large portion of the sky overhead in roughly 1–1.5 seconds. As it passed above me, the V-shape gradually shifted into a clustered appearance due to my changing perspective. In the final moments before it disappeared over the treeline, the object performed a distinct banking maneuver, tilting sideways in a manner similar to an airplane turning, and appeared to climb in altitude while doing so. No sound was detected throughout the sighting, and there were no visible navigation lights, strobes, or signs of conventional aircraft. The consistency, speed, and behavior of the formation ruled out birds, drones, or known aircraft, and reinforced my impression that I was witnessing something truly anomalous.

One thing I forgot to include in my initial sighting from 4/23/25, though, was that I have the flight numbers for two airplanes that were also within view while this object flew toward them. No idea if their radars or instrumentation caught it or not but it could be worth looking into.

Brown smudge-like V gliding across sky. Through binos, it resolved into a cluster of glowing lights.

Number of objects: 1 object flying alone, but when viewed through binoculars, several (or more) solid dots of white light flying in a cluster

Size/Elevation: No clue. If you were to measure an inch using your index finger and your thumb and then hold it up to the sky at arm's length, that would be about how big the whole V-shaped formation appeared to be from one tip of the 'V' to the other.

While standing outside looking at the sky on the evening of 4/23/25, I noticed a very faint, brown, smudge-like shape gliding quietly and slowly across the sky above me. It resembled a very light cloud drifting across the sky by itself, one that is semi-transparent and very hard to see against the backdrop of a inky black night sky. My initial thought was Geese, even if it was a bit later than they'd ordinarily fly, at least for what I'm used to. I took a closer look at it but found it was very hard to see. When I looked directly at it, it became harder to make out.

Using my peripheral vision to try and get a better idea of its form instead, I was able to make out that it was a V-shaped object, with one leg of the 'V' longer than the other. Within the brownish, smudge-like flying 'V', I could just barely make out several individual objects that were within it. This had me thinking it was definitely Geese at this point, especially since the lop-sided 'V' formation is a form they take on consistently when migrating.

I decided to double check, though, so I looked at them through my binoculars. What I saw though didn't at all resemble the brown, cloud-like "smudge" I was just viewing with my naked eyes a second earlier; rather, it was dozens of small little circular lights/orbs, white in color (the same exact color and luminosity as non-twinkling stars). There were dozens of them, and they were flying in this very tight formation, very close to each other. None of them ever wavered or moved from their position relative to the other while flying in this cluster/group/formation.

No blinking lights/navigation lights, no changes to the luminosity or color of each dot of light were seen either. No indications of bird-flapping or other standard Geese/bird behavior I'd expect to see while they're flying in formation.

At this point, I had a solid lock on the object, so I began rapidly alternating between binoculars and naked-eye views - lifting the binoculars for a magnified look, then quickly lowering them to compare it with the unaided view, repeating this process several times. What really threw me off was how the object(s) looked completely different in each one. The thing seemed low enough and distinct enough where I was confident that should've been able to see those lights with my eyes - at least a few of them since there were so many - and yet could not. Also, I COULD make out little individual bodies of mass within the 'V' initially (as mentioned above), but they were not white lights at all - they were brown and smudge-like just like the rest of the formation when viewed initially.

The lights were perfectly circular and appeared to be self luminous. They looked to be about the same luminosity as stars, but were not twinkling in any fashion - their color remained constant and unchanging. I do not know how many dots of light this V-shape thing was composed of, but there was a lot from what I could see in the 5 seconds I had it in my sight. Easily more than 10. These weren't like, little lights on an aircraft's wingtips and such - this was what seemed like dozens of little balls of light flying super close together without wavering or bobbing or shifting at all. Just silently flying together.

I could not see the entire V-Shaped formation when I was looking through my binoculars - the object was big enough I guess to fill most of the magnified field of vision they provide. When magnified, though, I could see anywhere between 5-8 of the little balls of light. Maybe more.

From there, the object began to fade into the light pollution and then was gone.

One last thing: this was the first sighting I had of the object. The second sighting came one night later, on 4/24/25. So, I saw this thing two nights in a row - and this is being reported by somebody who has stargazed avidly for over 20 years and hasn't seen anything like this at all. I will file a separate report for the 4/24/25 sighting.

Saw a reflection of light on my bedroom wall, looked out the window and saw the craft, disappeared a second after I looked.

I noticed flashing light in my bedroom coming from the coastline, I thought it might be neighbors shining flashlights in my room which never typically happens. So I decided to look out of my window and I saw a saucer shaped craft with light blue lights around it, with maybe 15 percent of the lights towards one side being amber color. The craft was circular and spinning very slowly. I went to take my phone out to record and poof it was gone like it was never there.

Saw orb heading away from the military base.

Traveling south on US. 11 with the the military post on my left. As I approached the intersection of route 26, I saw a silver orb coming from about the south east almost parallel to route 26. It was moving slow. Best guess was about 20 MPH. At first I thought it was a helicopter but it was too low – about 30 feet above the ground off on the north side of route 26. I was stopped at the light and watched it approach. It stopped about ten feet away. It was silver with a slight orange glow from the bottom. It was about the size of a small SUV. It emitted a low hum that seemed to vibrate the ground. While it looked smooth, it seemed to rotate. It took off vertically straight up to about 150 feet in an instant and then off along the road – route 26, but unlike earlier it seemed to instantly buck to a speed of about 100 MPH. 240 degrees is my guess. After it left, I thought to roll down my window. There was a strange smell like burnt copper but no odor of aviation fuel. Everything about it said not a helicopter or a low flying military drone.

We saw a metallic ball further down the road. At first it seemed like it was appearing and disappearing but I think it was low or near the ground. It was moving about 30 or 40 miles an hour. We sped up to try get a better view. As we got a better view, maybe 20 solid seconds, there seemed to be a reddish orangeish light near the bottom. At one point it sped up to an extremely fast speed and shot up straight into the sky. It's speed seems like that of a helicopter, but the rate of the increase seems more like that of a jet. We were too far away to hear anything.

Red light hovering in the treeline, it was blinking and moving irregularly.

3/18/2025. Red Hook, NY. At 2:40am I heard a constant low-frequency humming sound (“the hum” phenomenon). I went to open my window to confirm the noise coming from outside my house, which it was, as the sound was significantly louder outside. That’s when I noticed a red blinking light hovering in the tree-line a mile or so away. Roughly 285 degrees West. The red light was blinking irregularly and after observing it for a few minutes it began to move in various directions. After roughly 45 minutes the blinking became faint and significantly less frequent. I closed the curtains.

For what it’s worth, I tried to communicate with it. I copied each of its movements for a while (with my head moving in the window). I then paused and asked it aloud to copy mine. I moved my head in a clockwise circle… and it did the same motion. Could be a coincidence but what the heck, worth mentioning. My curious attempt to communicate aside, this was a very real unexplained aerial phenomenon. Back in September of 2024 I saw something similar but it was bright white, had a slight tail beneath it, and much higher in the sky (South-West).

I saw what originally I thought was a satellite traveling from the southwest to the northeast. There were no blinking lights.

Video pretty much says it. Silent white bright object with no blinking lights moving from SW to NE.

Silent disk object spotted with three lights seen in night sky

I was in my car at 9:06 PM when I saw a disk shape above me, what was strange was how it looked at first like it was moving closer so i suspected it to be a drone or plane. But the 3 lights weren’t blinking, and the object wasn’t making any noise once I got out of the car. I began to take a video and then saw it was passing overhead, not coming closer. The object looked grey, and the whole object pulsated with a yellow light 3 times, then stopped. The object looked like a disk with a half circle on top. As it got farther away it looked like the individual lights were now changing colors and flashing, although this was seen through my camera lense. It was moving about at the speed of a small plane (150 miles/hr?) and made no sound whatsoever. I couldn’t tell the height of it though it was high enough to not be a drone, and if it was a UFO it was incredibly small meaning it was probably pretty far away (500 ft?). There was only one object I spotted.

Multiple ships about four different shapes and the mothership fireball

On Monday night, I was looking in the sky at the stars/planets I thought. I saw some movement, but wasn’t sure. I took out my sky map app and some basic constellation showed up, but no planets or stars. It came up as starlink, however, it definitely was not. My son and I stayed out for almost 2 2 1/2 hours and from there they started to get closer and closer we eventually they were in like a circular formation around my whole house. Drones were also flying all around and low however, what I saw was not a drone these were higher. These had a different shape more like a disc or some triangular, moving slow, the triangular ones And the bigger floating discs that had all open in the front the smaller ones a little bit faster on video appear very fast. The next night we went out again. Same formation of ships was around my house slowly getting closer and again drones as well and some planes too that I don’t typically see so close in my area again we were outside for a few hours going between the back in the front and following and taking videos and pictures. we saw a floating black shaped triangular circular flat in the front went out in the back. It was really hard to tell, but it was lit up in the front when he looked super closely not constant we had to look for it. Another one, the disc shaped one again far away, but I could tell the whole front was open with maybe glass and then underneath all the whole front was lit up white lights however, inside I saw they were able to change the lights red green blue at different times maybe signaling to someone else. I didn’t connect at the time, but there was definitely a light buzzing going on, probably from the drums the UFOs you have to really be listening and hear like a dull humming sound. No animals were around the sky looked very interesting and it felt weird outside. My son and I had no doubt that what we were seeing was not drones or planes like the police were telling me. I told my son I believe that these smaller discs weigh above the bigger ships so I thought that those were controlled the little ones and I didn’t notice till I looked at my pictures of like a beam was coming down from the ones up top onto the little ones. We were going between my backyard and front. At one point I ran outside my front door and was shocked. Right in front of me maybe 500 feet away really right above the tree so close was a huge massive ball with fire and that looks like fire lights like I’ve never seen before. It looked like the whole bottom was open. The lights are so bright is hard for me to look directly added. I think it was silver. I don’t know the sides. I’m not sure because I really couldn’t see and pictures weren’t taking. I screamed for my son to come out. He saw it. He describes it as the commander ship, which makes total sense the mother of all motherships. It was so quiet and disappeared as fast as it arrived and quietly. No one got it on their ring no one else saw it except my friend had the lights in her face and thought it was a plane searching for someone cause I went away fast. I felt like goes on a Star Wars movie scene. Absolutely incredible and I’m still trying to process it and have words Wednesday night. I saw them in the sky again, however then it became cloudy and I couldn’t see anything the same with last night. Cops were called and totally dismissed. Me saying it’s a drone or a plane and nothing to worry about. I’m now thinking these drones out and about are in the area of the UFOs looking for them tracking them something and that is why they don’t want us to know because of the mass hysteria panic that it could cause. It wasn’t until I looked online at your website and saw pictures that match exactly mine that I felt validated and really feel the need to reach out and report this please

I saw an aircraft following a light that looked like a faint star, both the aircraft and light seemed to be the same altitude.

I saw what looked like a faint star or satellite coming from the west and heading east overhead, but it moved much more quickly than a satellite orbiting earth and deviated from its apparent trajectory as it was followed by what appeared to be a a non-commercial aircraft. The light and the airplane flew perpendicular to each other with the aircraft swaying closer and further away from the light. Both the aircraft and the light flew at what seemed the same altitude. I had visual for less than a minute before both were out of sight past the trees. I waited a couple minutes after and decided to head back inside, looked at the sky again as I headed up the stairs and saw what appeared to be the same light trailing the same trajectory as the previous light and airplane.

We saw everything

We are still in shock, upset we didn't record, but now I know you do not think about it in the moment. Large, watched movements from far away wondering what could stop and move and stop the way it was until it was over us. Than we saw it clear as day - jaws dropped. I don't know if cigar shape is exactly the best way to explain it but almost a stretched massive egg. Couldn't see top. Bottom was gray, dark and some lights. No one will ever believe us, but I felt I needed to share.

Blackhawk helicopter (later confirmed with public flight data) pursuing a brilliant white orb.

Based on the sort of things I had read about the "drone" incidents a few months back, my sense is that this sighting of mine is related. There was nothing exactly cinematic about what I saw, nothing flamboyantly UFO-esque... but what I saw was absolutely uncanny and singular in my experience. I have no theories as to what it was that I saw...

At around 6:35pm I heard an unusually disruptive helicopter sound through closed windows while eating dinner with my wife and kids. I went outside to the back porch and, a few seconds later, saw what seemed to undoubtedly be a helicopter (judging by the rotor sounds) and red blinking lights. Nothing unusual just yet.

Now, the first few seconds that I was out there, I could hear it, but it was visually obstructed by the row of 70ft pine trees that line the back edge of my backyard. I mention only to help give you the same sense of its height in the sky and its distance from me that I got being there, familiar with my surroundings. The line of trees was approximately 60 yards back from where I was standing.

It was flying west to east over my yard and had just visually crested the row of trees that line the back edge of my backyard. The helicopter was considerably higher than the tops of those trees, but not nearly as high as the airplanes that typically fly around here. It seemed more like 'news-camera helicopter' or 'suburban police helicopter' height if there is such a thing. I'm a layperson, but this seemed like a typical low (but not blowing the trees around low) helicopter height.

I watched for 3-5 seconds as the helicopter proceeded in a straight line overhead. By the time the helicopter was about halfway (from my perspective) across the sky above my yard (having visually come from behind that line of pines initially, and now 1/2 of the way towards my house in the sky), I had a basic sense of the helicopters relative distance/height/size and I was not particularly interested in what I saw. It was not remarkable - just a helicopter. But here's where it got weird and why my sense of where this thing was in the sky became cemented in my mind...

After the first few seconds of watching the helicopter alone move across the sky over my yard, an extremely bright, warm white ball of light suddenly lit up at what seemed to be 10-15 (helicopter) lengths out, directly in front of the helicopter and in the direction of its flight path. I am certain, based on my sense of the sky in that moment, the height of the helicopter, speed of its transit across my yard up to that point, and the distance between it and the sudden light out front, that the source of the white light was a separate object... and that the helicopter was pursuing this object.

Despite the mundane description (helicopter in night sky and a white light), it was quite shocking to witness. I let out a scream of sorts and stood slack jawed until my elementary aged son came running out to see. He saw it for a few seconds before the procession moved out of view over my house (which we were still standing right next to). After an excited moment of explaining what we saw to my wife, who had stayed at the table with my daughter, my son realized we should go to the front of the house to see where it went and if we could still see it.

We ran through the house and out onto our driveway and were able to catch the last few seconds of the transit of these two objects before they were obstructed by the trees across the street.

The white ball of light was still illuminated. It was much brighter and larger than other lights I've seen on planes etc. It was a different quality and it was on its own. It almost seemed like a ball of light and not like a spot light or directional light if that makes any sense. The light itself was remarkable. Seeing it followed by a helicopter was wild. But the thing that was so striking was that it was totally unlit, invisible in the sky until just a few seconds after I came outside and started looking up…. And then WHAM! So wild.

I'd say that I was able to see both objects together for a total of 10 seconds split between the time it first lit up in the backyard and then the last few moments on the other side of the house. A few more seconds in the backyard and totally unobstructed and then a few more seconds in the front where it was already only partially visible.

5-6 drones flying at 500 feet from north to south chased by a large helicopter. Each drone had a single flood light shining down.

I was in my living room and heard a loud sound outside that sounded like a bunch of helicopters. I ran out to my balcony, which looks directly west, and saw from the north heading south 5 or 6 drones. they were large, car-sized, and square. Each drone had lights on each corner and a single flood light on the bottom and they were all shining directly down. There was a large helicopter chasing them from behind. They flew directly overhead and straight to the south from Mechanicsville and Halfmoon NY towards Latham NY. The drones had white lights on each corner. The helicopter only had small red lights along its bottom roughly on the corners. Otherwise it was black. The most jarring thing besides the loud sound were the floodlights shining down from the drones.

two grey spheres moving in tandem above residential area very close to airline traffic

I was walking my dog and saw a low flying Emerates airliner. As it passed by I noticed two grey spheres moving in tandem over the neighborhood. It was a grey overcast day and they moved with a slow deliberate speed and maintained a constant distance between each other. There was no audible noise and no wings visible. Both spheres seemed to be very small .... too small to be occupied by an adult, but the height made it difficult to judge size. I took video with my phone watch the middle of the screen unfortunately my finger blocks some of the footage but I wanted to get a reference for size. You can still hear the airplane traffic on film

Large, blurry bright light with a ring around it that slowly rose up from the horizon and quickly disappeared.

I saw a huge, bright white light that looked like it was in a cloud despite it being a pretty clear night. For the duration of 5 minutes, it slowly rose up from the horizon and a blurry, white light ring spread around the center of the light. As it rose higher in the sky, the color turned more blue and the ring grew. It eventually disappeared, but the ring was still visible after the light went away for a few seconds.

Three distinct lights in a horizontal line moving slowly towards the north then disappearing

I was outside walking the dog. The night sky is completely clear with lots of stars. I was looking west with the moon above the hills in front of me. To the right of the moon, I saw a perfect circle of white clouds. The inside of the circle was clear with an area of mist in the lower left corner, @ 7 o'clock. In that misty area were three distinct and bright golden white lights close together in a horizontal line. The circle moved forward towards me slightly. It then appeared to fade as it drifted North. I watched it slowly move and fade above the trees for less than a minute. It suddenly disappeared. There were no clouds or mist anywhere in the sky. The wind is blowing from the north. The clouds were moving into the wind.

I was driving past and saw it in the sky, it was dark so i couldn't make out the exact shape but it was definitely moving and looked like a drone, but I've never seen anything like it before, I also saw a very bright white light in the sky (different area) but that could be unrelated.

Craft was probably operating in phase-shifted mode (frequency). Visible energy signature across bottom of craft.

The object movement was from North to South in clear sky with no clouds. Seeing and transparency conditions were good to above average. I became aware of an object while looking up at Venus and known stars as I am an amateur astrophotographer. It looked as if it shouldn't be there, and I therefore categorized it as unusual. The object looked to be about a few hundred feet above and slightly to the west of N-S meridian. It could have been a mile or more and huge making it look closer as I had no real perspective in this patch of open sky.

It looked like a narrow white light that followed a curved hull design and stretched from one side to the other (east to west) but narrow and slightly chevron shaped. The point was directly under what I thought to be the center of a curved or displacement type of hull. The wings were following the edge of the hull in a slightly upward direction. While north of me the chevron light emission wings drew to the front of the object. As it moved directly in front of me the light was more or less straight across. As it moved south the wings were drawn to the back of the object and the point was forward. This is why I believe this was a curved or displacement hull of a cloaked or phase-shifted craft. I could not see a solid craft or object, just the light emission. Most likely this was a pill or egg shaped craft with an oval hull as opposed to flat. It could also have been a saucer shape. As it moved across my purview the light energy signature would shift depending on the part of the cloaked hull was in my direct line of sight.

The light energy that I could see was white but not bright. More of a slightly greyish look and an almost cloudy appearance. It was definitely there but would have been easy to miss had I not first been looking intently up at Venus and stars.

If this object was only a few hundred feet up, then it would have been about the size of a football field. But if it was a mile or more then it would have to have been quite large to make it appear much closer. Large being maybe the size of a modern aircraft carrier or a small city. It was difficult to judge. There was no noise, no jet or prop sound. Just eerily silent as it traversed North to South and then went out of sight over the small city of Geneva to my South.
The speed would also be difficult to determine due to a lack of perspective. It was faster than the time it would take for a commercial jetliner at say 30,000 ft to travel that distance. But then a jet of that size, at 1000 feet and same speed would take less time to traverse the same distance. From my advantage and being next to a 2-story building on my North, I watch this for about 100 degrees. Facing West thus my meridian would run East-West, I first saw it about 30 degrees North of my meridian. I last saw it about 70 degrees South of my meridian. It took about 60 seconds to cover that distance. Not sure how many miles that covers. If 10 miles, then ground equivalent speed would be approximately 600 mph. I would estimate the speed at between 400 and 600 mph.

I’m rather upset at myself. I was walking about 150 feet across a parking lot to go into the building. I left my iPhone in the car…..damn it! I figured by the time I ran back to my car for the phone I would miss the UAP so I just continued to stand and watch until it was out of sight.

5:30 AM I saw a large bright orb, and then this object appeared out of it.

I Work at 5:30 5:45 AM when I saw a big beautiful orb, it was extremely bright. Suddenly the orb became very blurry as if it was moving from side to side quickly, and then the craft appeared out of it. There were three altogether one was large squared with lights on each .4 points of it. The third went so fast that I couldn't make out what it was and then this is the third one that just hovered there it was tremendous.

The UFO was hovering approximately 250 above my apartment building

I was having cable installed in my building and we needed access to the roof while my cable technician needed access to the roof so we went onto the roof and as he was installing, I was looking into the sky, just thinking about my day and over a sudden I look I look down. I see a car crash. I went back inside check the car crash. Everybody was OK. Police was called. Everything was fine. I went back upstairs to my technician. I went back to looking in the sky and I seen these 10 medium size white aircraft disk shaped hovering above. I call my technician detention he sees he says what the fuck and he ran inside. I’m looking still taking a video with my phone, but my phone starts malfunctioning. I won’t take the video. My phone shuts off, but it had full battery when I check to see why it turned it it said battery drained like the battery low sign I went back inside to charge it and I come back outside. The UFOs are still there. They are scanning the trees with this orange light so bright cause I have an area around my apartment building and just full of grass and trees but the light is coming from the UFO itself, and I after it finished it flew away so fast it was with the blink of an eye it was gone

Light moving oddly in sky

My son noticed this light moving up and down unlike any normal lights you see in the night sky. You can tell from video that it isn’t a satellite & it isn’t a plane , or a shooting star. When watching video it looks like it’s coming down from the bright star you see, and he follows it with camera as it moves across sky. Abduction that starts as a dream

I'm only reporting this as a possible abduction. I've had these experiences many times. It began in a dream I had where I was with my nephew who passed it was a happy reunion and then suddenly, there were gray aliens. One was very close and I woke up afraid to open my eyes as I thought he may be there looking at me. Couldn't sleep after. In the morning I bled heavily and I thought I got my period early but it later stopped. This has happened before and I fear I've carrying an embryo which they remove, causing me to bleed.

Looked up and saw multiple white flashing lights move away from each other and in different directions. I did see and hear three planes fly by but those went in their normal flight path. Where these had no direct path. They all disappeared from sight and then upon looking out my window I see a white light streak and then boom flashing white light moving around sporadically. Huge drone hovered over my house and reacted to me filming

I was going outside to pick my wife up from work when I noticed a sound like a generator. I looked up when I realized it was coming from above and it was a gigantic drone hovering directly over my house around 200-300 feet in altitude. I stood there in shock for maybe three seconds when I quickly grabbed my phone from my jacket pocket. As soon as I clicked the side button on my phone and my Lock Screen came on, this drone literally put on a big white spotlight directed to the ground around ten feet behind me then began to move in a straight unbroken line towards the town of Yulan. The object was at least the size of a Dodge Ram 1500 and composed of a framework of dark grey bars in a triangular configuration. On each side it had a large light the size of a basketball. Red and green unblinking lights. The spotlight was white and very powerful. I had an interaction with one of these before and it seemed too coincidental that it would be hovering in the sky sounding like a generator the moment I go outside to my car. I filmed it moving away from my house however. I zoomed in and can see the red light and spotlight.

7 Black UAPs suddenly appear and disappear

On New Year's Eve, I was on the 27th floor of the Times Square Edition Hotel, facing north west from my balcony. At 12:06 a.m. on January 1, 2025, just six minutes after the countdown, I spotted seven stationary, round, dark black UAPs in the night sky. They were flying higher than the buildings in Times Square. While it’s difficult to estimate their size from that distance, they appeared relatively large— but no larger than a car.

Given the number of recent drone sightings in New York City and New Jersey, I was immediately concerned about safety risks of being in one of the most densely populated areas in the country on New Year's Eve. The night before, I had watched the news where they reported that NYPD would be flying drones and taking other safety measures, such as drug dogs, to monitor the area. Throughout the evening, I had been keeping an eye out for drones for this reason but hadn’t seen any that appeared to be actively monitoring the crowds.

At 12:01 a.m., I started watching confetti fall from the buildings and float back up into the sky when I suddenly noticed seven black objects appear out of nowhere. I grabbed my camera to record them and continued to observe even after my video ended. These objects were still, completely unlit, and a pitch-black color, clustered near one another with approximately a couple hundred feet in between. They didn’t move laterally but instead hovered in place for about one to two minutes. Then, they vanished. It didn’t appear as though they flew higher or retreated into the distance; they simply disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared.

Naked eye, looked like a black center with lights around the perimeter and rays in all directions, with SLR telephoto a silver sphere

To the naked eye looked like a black center with lit perimeter and rays of light around all clock dials, possible a reflection from behind if the object was reflective in nature. With Sony Alpha SLR and telephoto in low light it was a perfect sphere silver in color with the texture of TV noise (colorful pixels). Object was noted around 5:45pm EST and slowly moved over 1 hr from 236 degrees West to 274 degrees North West from my location. Very difficult to take a photo without stability and a tripod.

On Dec 21, 2024, at 8:43 PM in Charlotte, Rochester NY, I saw a reddish-orange plasma ball moving erratically, followed by a helicopter

Sighting Report – Rochester, NY (Charlotte Neighborhood)

On December 21, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM, while driving home from shopping, I noticed a reddish object moving in the sky as we turned down Harding Road off of Lake Avenue in Rochester, NY. Around 13 minutes later, at approximately 8:43 PM, after arriving home, I observed the same object from my driveway near Harding and North Burley Road. After dropping off our groceries my nephews and I were in the driveway on the cold snowy night. At about 8:43 pm I noticed and started to record a strange orangish object as my nephews and I commented about it as we watched it.

The object appeared as a bright, reddish-orange light, spherical in shape, and self-illuminating. It seemed to pulse as it moved across the sky. At one point, the object dropped straight down, abruptly shifted 180 degrees to the side, and then ascended vertically in a manner that defied typical aircraft physics. The movements were so rapid and erratic that I had difficulty keeping track of it with my phone camera, briefly losing sight of it before it reappeared and resumed sharp, zig-zagging maneuvers.

As I recorded the object, I initially mistook an approaching aircraft for a commercial plane. Upon closer inspection of the video, I realized it was a large helicopter flying very close to the pulsing orange object. As the helicopter approached, the object appeared to blink out of sight.

The sighting began above a large tree near Harding and North Burley Road, with the object moving mostly horizontally to the east, eventually crossing over the Genesee River.

I am familiar with conventional aircraft behavior, and the speed, precision, and unusual flight path of this object did not resemble any drone, helicopter, or plane I have encountered.

Saw a light slowly moving west which abruptly reversed 180 degrees and sped away at tremendous speed

Looking out backyard window, saw what I thought was a plane light moving west to east slowly above our treeline but it suddenly stopped, reversed 180 degrees and sped away at unimaginable speed, was gone in a flash. Entire event lasted maybe 5 seconds.

I was in a flight from YUL to PUJ # DM 5901

About one hour after the flight took off from Montréal I saw two disc shape (octogonal),above the clouds, we were about 33k feet high and those things were below our plane but at 4 o’clock , the first two where in the same direction of us, but faster, because the distance, I’m sure they were bigger than us (plane),I lost the sight of the two first, and I saw the third one in the same direction of the first, about one minute later I lose sight again, then, farther below I saw another one in the opposite direction, those things had bright light under and blue,red and white lights moving clockwise (non stop) below .

A yellow-orange orb appeared for about 10 seconds then proceeded to move away from us

As we were driving on sunrise service road south towards Gazzola drive we saw what appeared to be a yellow-orange orb moving very slowly or not at all towards the eastern sky. After about 10 seconds the orb proceeded to move quickly away in what appeared to be the east then disappeared suddenly leaving no trail. My father was in the car with me and also witnessed the same thing as me.

Saw potential "drone" in addition two "triangle" shaped drones and four blue white orbs

My wife and I were walking towards our vehicle parked at the corner of 63rd Rd. & 110th street, we were in 63rd when we noticed an object that looked like the drones we had seen in the Jersey videos. At first the lights were predominantly red like a helicopter but the sequence of strobes is what caught our attention.

Roughly they would blink once on the left, once on the right, strobe left to right with one in the middle (think Kit from Knight Rider) and again sequence in a different order. White, Green and at times what appeared to be orange lights could be seen. The object seemed to shift it's color patterns over the course of the sighting.

The object would hover for a few minutes and then relocate making essentially a circle pattern. Could not guage the distance it was travelling. At one point it was over the van with a white and green light configuration (could not make a shape out, but if you imagined a bar floating in the sky the lights would be at the tips).

As we watched, my wife noticed a "triangle" drone like object fly rapidly to our right. (We were facing NW on the corner as we watched the main drone circle". The triangle shaped was noticable by the configuration of the lights, and it was flying "base" first, which is what made it stand out. The second time it flew by (cannot recall the exact timing, it flew point first).

About ten minutes into the sighting we noticed high up in the sky what appeared to be white/blue orbs. The first we saw was traveling South to North and we though initially was a Geminid, until it began to curve towards our left (again we were facing NW) and began blinking until we lost it over the horizon. We saw another traveling West to East similar altitude but no blinking. To our North we saw another traveling East to West with a blinking sequence (not to be confused with the blinking of a plane at high altitude, the night was clear and we could see planes very very high up but the orbs had no discernible navigation lights, they blinked in their entirety). The fourth traveled in the same direction as the first described here but with no blinking.

Finally the main drone we saw appeared higher than a Learjet coming in to land or on its ascent out of LGA. LaGuardia is nearby, and as we watched the main drone a Learjet type plane fly over us and under the drone temporarily blocking it from sight. Cannot accurately describe height.

The sound was like a muted helicopter/lawnmower. But not exact. Living in NYC and between two major airports there's always a helicopter around. This did not sound like a helicopter -- but similar and not the buzz of a commercial Hobby drone.

Moving stars on several occasions

While looking for drones I spotted several stars that began appearing and moving across the sky. They came from several different areas of the sky and moved in a straight path down the horizon and disappeared. There were multiple orbs at times and some moved across the sky in an opposite direction. Some slowed, one stopped briefly and at one point three appeared and moved faster than all of the others. I am not sure if this is Starlink but I have never heard of this amount of objects being seen at one time.

This happened on a night that many drone sighting were happening over my house/neighborhood. I have videos of drones and crafts

I was spotting undeniable drones all night so I was taking videos of the drones. I also took some still pictures as well. As I was waiting for a drone to get closer overhead I snapped some pictures of the sky in the direction that the drones were coming( which was toward my house). In one of the pictures you can see I captured two crafts that were side by side. I have pictures from a few seconds before the crafts and they weren’t there. I have pictures from 15 mins later and they are also not there. My photos are clear and I do not believe this is a camera glitch.

I got a notication on my neighborhood app that there were sightings. Went outside and saw three sets of lights blinking in the same location in the southeast. They moved along the horizon heading west. Went inside and came out to them more sparsely in the sky. Drove to the south near the ocean (towards Gilgo) and saw a few in the sky, along with planes.

U shaped saucer with lights around entire perimeter. It was pretty big but really quiet.

I was driving home when I saw it off in the distance. I turned around because it looked odd. The craft seemed to move slowly and quietly. It made a U turn heading towards the street I was on then a u turn back down the street to the small patch of trees. When I looked to see if it was still there it had become so far away and just disappeared. The lights were flashing red and white and possibly green. But it was dark and I was in the car. It looked like it wasn't too high up but how low I'm not sure. I'll include a sketch and a similar photo I found online. I cannot draw to save my life but the photo looks pretty similar. Lights were bigger and closer together. There was a shadow, faint shadow of a dome. Definitely bigger than my SUV. I checked the flight radar ap and my satellite tracker. I didn't see anything close to my location.

Large Stationary Craft seen Many times over many months but recorded just once

We keep seeing this Drone/UAP/UFO by Greenwood Lake NY.
This has been seen MANY times lately in the Same spot hovering for HOURS. Video Location is facing South by South West and Recorded from GPS Location 41°15'56.8"N 74°15'37.5"W and even at over 5 or more Miles away if I hold up My Hand and try to size it to one of My finger nails, then it's about at arms length about the size of My Pinky Nail. The Camera on My Phone does NOT do what the Eye can See but I explain that what I'm able to See by Eye is a LOT better and More Detailed than whay My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra which is set at FULL HD60 60FPS and switching between 1X up to 10X Zoom and also zoomed at other Zoom Settings as well. This has been seen MANY MANY times since Summer 2024 but not every single night. The Shape of the Craft seeing it by eye, you can make out 8 lights coming off from the center like they are 8 Arms of lights, but recording it on My Cellphone looks like a Blob. The Arms coming out from the Center are Not spread and spaced uniformly from the center out.

A white, airplane shaped object, approximately the size of a short school bus hovering several hundred feet off the ground

I was traveling north on Interstate 390 from the Jefferson Rd. on ramp. As soon as I reached the highway level I saw a long white object in the sky that looked like a small aircraft. It was low, but an airport is nearby so I didn't think much of it. I was driving toward it. As I continued on my trajectory I realized the object was not moving at all. It was just floating there, as if frozen, clear and plain as day. There was no sound associated with it that I could hear over the highway noise. This was just after rush hour and there must have been hundreds of witnesses. As the highway climbs at the interchange, it is hard to estimate how high it was off ground level, but I will say approximately 200-300 feet (perhaps only 50 feet higher than the high point of the roadway). I was traveling to 590 northbound, bearing right. I was screaming and fumbling for my phone to get a photo but could not deploy it safely in traffic. As I made the turn onto 590 N, the roadway descends and a line of trees from the park blocks the view of the craft, which would now be in my rear-view mirror. The object was long and white. As I only saw it in one plane of view, I was not able to tell if there were wings etc. From the side it was in the shape of a small airplane, but it was not moving. My partner flies a drone. This was far too large to be any drone I could conceive of. It could not have been a kite or other citizen manned object as it was only 18 degrees out. I have combed all the local media sources this morning and heard nothing about it. The image I sent shows the area the craft was seen circled in yellow, my driving trajectory in red.

Two witnesses saw a very large drone with a green and red light which responded to us parking by speeding out of view

I was driving my wife home from work after picking her up. We were driving near the Minisink Battleground when I noticed a stationary object with a red and green light in the sky. I pointed it out to my wife who saw the same thing. As we were driving the object would occasionally stop hovering and slowly go towards the southeast (in the direction of Route 97). As we kept driving up the road towards Yulan I realized the light was actually a drone that was maybe less than 500 feet from the ground. I’m terrible with estimating altitudes but I was able to see multiple arms, like sticks coming out of a very dark object. Picture a metallic octopus of all right angles with a green light on one side and a red one on the other. Both lights were never blinking and were equal in size. I pulled my car over and told my wife it’s a drone due to its proximity to the ground and how it matched the drone video I saw online of one flying over LaGuardia airport. I was able to see the shady outlines of the arms and how it seemed to come off a square or cylindrical object with maybe a cluster of instruments on top. Upon parking my car and pointing to it in the sky it literally moved closer to us. At first it was about 1000 feet from the road over the woods. Now it came to around 500 feet from us and maintained the same altitude. I took my phone out of my cars cup holder and was going to record a video but my iPhone really isn’t good capturing lights. They come out blurry. As soon as I pressed the side button on my phone they drone began moving towards the southeast. It went around 30-40 mph. Definitely had to see us because it went over the trees and seemed controlled by a person. We sat there for a minute excitedly speaking about it then continued on home. No sounds from it were heard since we had our car heat on and the windows up.

On a daily walk, I looked at the sky and saw 1 star moving. Then 3, then 5. I follow them for a while, then look straight up and notice HALF the stars are moving in a general southeast direction. All lights were independently moving. Some were really bright. Some were faint and could only be seen if not looking at them directly. This lasted for at least 5 minutes as more and more kept coming up over the horizon in the Northwest, flying overhead, and continuing towards the Southeast.

I was alone. It was dark. The night sky was crystal clear. Not a cloud in the sky.

Bright white light moving very fast across the sky - possible meteor

Few details in this sighting: I was standing on a street corner and looking south, observed a bright white light, Venus in size or like aircraft headlight move at extreme velocity across the sky, heading either south or down (as though it were going to crash or impact). My visibility of the object disappeared as it was blocked by an apartment building in the distance. I stopped and listened for an explosion or impact in the distance, but I could not hear anything. This is an outter-borough of NYC and there are many flight paths over this area- I see airplanes traverse the sky all the time and have never seen anything this fast. I would say there's the possibility it's a meteor, but I could not see a burn-up as it's path became obscured by the building. Hopefully other reports could elaborate or substantiate further.

5 non-moving bright lights in vertical line

Between 5:10 and 5:30 AM, 5 bright lights, brighter than how Venus appears when it is seen in morning sky. No other stars or planets visible but a sliver of a crescent moon off to the right of the lights. They were evenly spaced, appearing about 3 inches apart as you look at the sky, not moving and in a perfect vertical line. They were at approximately 120 degrees East Southeast of my location. Went in house to get digital camera but just got black photos. Went in to look at them on my computer and when I came out again to see them, they were gone. You can see the moon in my photo but the lights did not show up. They would have been right in the middle of the photo.

On the night of November 25, 2024, I was leaving work at the LIU/CW Post Tilles Center in Greenvale (north shore of Nassau County, near Old Brookville, Old Westbury, etc.) just after 10:00pm. As I waited at the exit of LIU to turn onto Northern Blvd/Rt.25A going east toward Syosset, I noticed what appeared to be a helicopter hovering above the thick tree grove just north of 25A. I was instantly curious, wondering if a crime or an accident had occurred around Cedar Swamp Road, which cuts north from 25A.

Interestingly, I didn't hear the amount of blade noise I would expect to hear from a helicopter hovering so close-by, so, with the traffic light still red, I rolled down my driver-side window and listened. There were virtually no cars on this quiet country road at this hour on a Monday night, and I immediately noticed that the aircraft was not making any discernible noise.

When the light turned green, it took me all of thirty seconds to dismiss the whole incident, and I proceeded to head toward home in Syosset. Before I had traveled a few hundred feet, however, out of the trees came another one of these "helicopters," arousing my curiosity once again. Still pumped up from the concert I had just worked, I thought for a minute about turning left up Cedar Swamp Road to search for police, ambulance, or fire lights, but decided to abort when I remembered there was a pumpkin pie waiting for me at home.

The traffic light at Wolver Hollow Road and 25A turned red and I came to a stop. As I waited, with no cars anywhere in sight around me, I looked up and, sure enough, a flying object that I had assumed was an airplane had stopped moving and was hovering above 25A, shining a very bright white light that, when it turned slightly, shone right in my front window for about two seconds. This time, I was able to see clearly that the aircraft was not a helicopter at all, but a Cessna-sized, airplane-shaped object that appeared to have some kind of lit panel with a checkered-pattern extension hanging off it. I have seen drones of all types, from consumer to commercial to military models, and I immediately discounted the first two types, but could not confirm the third, except that this was larger and brighter than any drone I had ever seen in the sky.

I thought about grabbing my phone and capturing a photo, but when the light turned green, I decided it was more important to drive than to risk being rear-ended by some other driver who was looking up at the sky, thinking he/she was the only car on the road.

As I proceeded through the traffic light, the object turned and continued to fly northwest, toward the other aircraft. I considered, for a moment, that perhaps this was the same aircraft, flying in a circle and coming around for another loop, but my thought was that the speed the aircraft would have to be traveling to accomplish this was beyond what I believe any flying object of that size could achieve.

This thought was further pushed out of my head when, between Cedar Swamp Road and my turnoff on Split Rock Road, I spotted three more of these objects, all identical, all moving way too slow to be airplanes, emerging from the tree line on the south of 25A and heading northwest, toward the first aircraft and, maybe, toward Long Island Sound, ultimately.

Still amped up from the concert when I got home, I called the Nassau County Second Precinct to ask if there was any type of aircraft testing or exploration going on in the area. I described the objects to the desk sergeant as "drones" at this time, having no better reference to use. I was told that the police knew nothing about it and that they would keep my report on file. End of night, off to sleep.

When I woke up Tuesday morning, the incident was still with me, so I did what any inquiring mind would do and I posted my experience to Facebook. Within minutes, people were sending me articles about drone sightings in New Jersey, where the objects observed perfectly matched the description of what I had seen the night before. To make a long story short, from that point on, I became obsessed with this matter, and knowing that the breaking of the news would soon flood tip-lines everywhere with mistaken or fabricated sightings, I contacted the Morris County, NJ Sheriff's office (where the NJ sightings had been reported) and told them about the Long Island incident the night before. They seemed only mildly interested, for some reason.

When I polled some co-workers about the sighting the next day, only one (but fortunately the one with the most street-credibility) replied that she had seen the same thing and was captivated by it. This co-worker drove all the way from LIU to Huntington that night, so she had the same line-of-sight I did and witnessed at least as many of these aircraft as I did (six, total).

In the next few days, I escalated my game and contacted both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, the agencies I had read were involved in the New Jersey investigation. In both cases, I had to first call the Long Island offices and then call additional offices to report my sightings multiple times. I am glad I did this early in the investigation, as it appears many later "sightings" were reported by either hoaxters or people who couldn't tell the difference between an airplane and a drone. In fact, many of the videos and photos I have seen since November 25 are clearly airplanes, and even the photos that accompany most news stories are of the type of hobby drones you purchase on Amazon, and NOTHING like the drones I saw.

Most frustrating to me, as the days went on, was the fact that news outlets kept reporting the story as if it only affected New Jersey. Then, as time went on, they reported that drone sightings had been reported in Brooklyn and Staten Island, never once mentioning Long Island, although the reporters claimed to have used the FBI and Homeland Security as resources. "Where did my reports go?" I wondered.

I even contacted News 12 LI three times, leaving messages and e-mails asking why they would keep reporting drone sightings everywhere but right here in their coverage area. No reply. Makes me wonder if someone is trying to steer the investigation away from Long Island?

At this point, the wild claims and rumors have turned this whole incident into somewhat of a joke, so I don't even talk about my personal experience on November 25th anymore. It puzzles me how people are perfectly willing to believe that UFO's are here or that our government is trying to poison us with drones, but nobody is willing to even CONSIDER that the far-from-normal streaks across the sky for the past several years (oops! there goes my credibility) are anything but condensation trails.

Anyway, I do not believe that these are alien invaders or some type of revenge mission ordered by the current administration. But I will leave off with this (and maybe someone can provide a valid answer): If there is such an active investigation on both a local and federal level, why hasn't someone thought of sending up a helicopter to follow one of these drones to its landing base?

Looked like a fireball

Saw what looked like a round fireball not that high up. I do live by the airport and have never seen anything like this in my life. It had no sound, moved as if it were gliding as opposed to flying. I took a few pictures the best I could and then it just disappeared from the sky. It was close enough in distance to know that it disappeared & not disappeared from my sight.

It lasted about 3 minutes (according to my pictures timestamp), it was in the evening, very dark out, nothing else in the sky.

Here's a more formal write-up of your UFO sighting:

On a recent clear night, approximately 45 degrees Fahrenheit, my mother and I observed multiple flying objects from the Hudson River pier, located at 12th Avenue and West 42nd Street, NYC 10036. Our interest in this phenomenon was sparked by previous sightings through the window of our high-rise apartment in Manhattan.

As we walked towards the pier, we initially spotted one large, bright amber orb. Upon further observation, we noticed that it was accompanied by several smaller orbs, creating a fleet of eight objects in total. These orbs moved together and then separated, with some traveling towards New Jersey, eventually becoming invisible to us.

However, the spectacle did not end there. We witnessed more amber orbs appearing in various directions, both small and large, at an estimated altitude of 1500 feet. Interestingly, we were the only individuals present who seemed to notice this extraordinary sight.

The smaller orbs displayed unique behavior, appearing suddenly and then pulsating. The larger orb seemed to act as a "mothership," with smaller orbs flanking it. Upon closer examination, the shape of these orbs seemed to shift and change, as depicted in a photograph I captured of one of the brightest orbs flying above a building at the corner of 42nd Street and 12th Avenue, near the Hudson River.

Orbs

I noticed a light in the sky that was too bright to be a helicopter or drone or plane it almost look like the northern star, but brighter and a different color. It was orange yellow, and I park the car and continue to look at it and try to figure out what I was seeing. And then drops this little red orange light underneath it and then they both disappear so that led me to want to report it because obviously things don’t just disappear like that.
