Viewer was driving home from work. Saw "3 balls of light" that fell amazingly fast towards the ground. Sighting lasted <5 seconds.

I'm submitting this report on behalf of a friend. We'll call him M for the sake of privacy. This happened at around 11:15 p.m. on road 156 traveling west, leaving Waterloo IL and driving towards Valmeyer IL.

M was just outside the city limits of Waterloo, and his sighting was brief. He describes "looking at the moon" on the way back from work when all of a sudden 3 "balls of light" in a trianglular formation caught his eye off to his right, so that would be rougly due north/north-west based off of his direction of travel.

He reports the lights "fell" from roughly 200-250 (rough approximation) feet down to the ground with baffling speed. Faster than anything should be able to fall, or fly, for that matter. The entire sighting lasted less than 5 seconds. He was driving and did not stop to see what happened to the lights once they reached the ground, or near ground level. According to him, they did not illuminate the ground, houses, or trees that he could see.

As for personal notes, he assures me he is positive it wasn't any mistaken reflection, his eyes playing tricks on him, or a case of mistaken lights, like that of a street light, radio tower, or any known craft, including helicopters, planes, or drones. He says he feels it was "close", that he could "walk over to it" within a short amount of time if he wanted. His guess is less than half a mile away.

For his background, he works at a manufacturing facility that I won't name, and was getting off of work driving home. He is a man in his early 20s. If it matters at all, he is a deeply religious Christian, and has told me in conversations previously (much before this incident) about this topic that his belief is the same as the church father's writings. That "UFOs" people see are demons.

I did not ask him if he wanted to clarify or change his personal belief about "UFOs", as he seemed to need more time to contexualize his feelings about the matter and his sighting.

A bright white light shining through the trees not moving then disappeared

My Husband and I were camping with our Son near Waterloo, IL on the evening of October 7th, 2023. It was maybe 10 or 11 pm, our Son was asleep, my Husband and I were by the campfire and all of a sudden there was a very bright light shining through the trees. There was no sound and it wasn't moving. In my opinion it was way too bright to be a star or planet and just as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared. My Husband was in the Navy for many years and he had no idea what it could be.

Bright Light pulses twice in the sky, mysterious aircraft with no indicator lights trailed by two jets crosses same spot

Tonight I went outside to watch for shooting stars as part of the Draconid Meteor Shower with my son - 4 yrs old and my daughter - 8 years old. We had about 20 minutes to play with before they had to go to bed. We had a star tracker app that had notified me of the event. The area of the sky that according to the app we were supposed to look was almost straight up, our necks got sore, and we got impatient soon. My daughter and I started to think we were seeing bright flashes of light in different areas of the sky. Then in the southern sky we both saw what looked like a super bright star, pulse on, then quickly off. It did this just twice. We were discussing it excitedly when I notice an aircraft with only a dim light “around” it moving from our right or east heading west toward Scott air force base located about a 40 minute drive from us and shortly it crossed right over the spot in the sky where we saw the pulsating “star”. Periodically we see milita! ry aircraft crossing over our town and my wife has seen a B2 bomber overhead here once or twice. I then noticed two air craft behind it that had typical strobing indicator lights on them and as all three got closer it became clear that the two air craft in the rear were jets and were following or escorting the first aircraft. Do stealth b2 bombers fly with no indicator lights in US skies ordinarily, not from what I was able to find online? What was the dim warm light that seemed to at least partially surround it mysterious first air craft? There was a combined strangeness to it all: I had just said a prayer for us to see something (I was thinking a shooting star, but), a mysterious briefly strobing star caused us to look around to see the unidentified air craft, said air craft crossed the same approximate spot we had seen the strobing star, and the first aircraft had not indicator lights. Though I did not get a recording, I did attempt to record it with my phone, but! all I have for some reason is a single photo with a streak of! light a t the bottom.

While looking towards North sky spotted small starlike light moving from west to east threw big dipper handle constillation. First light appeared moving very fast high in atmosphere, then came another light moving in same direction about 6-7 seconds behind staggered a little to the south. Then more appeared staggered '.'.' In this type of formation about 5-8 seconds apart. Turned on flightradar24 app and saw lower flying aircraft on radar but not the lights flying above them. These were not space x satellites. The last 5 lights flying west to east dissappeared into the night sky as if flying out towards outer space and just dissappeared. Objects made no noise. Could hear lower flying aircraft that were appearing on flightradar24 app.

Bright white stationary light in the sky during space station sighting.

During an ISS sighting of 10th October, at 20:00, ISS passing from NNW to East. Myself and my wife observed a bright white light to the south at an elevation of 30 degrees after the ISS had passed by. Looked like a spotlight being turned on then off.

I originally thought that the light was aircraft landing lights as we are under several busy air corridors.

Continued observation of the sky in that area revealed no aircraft, also thought it could be a satellite but continued observation along the projected path revealed no further sighting.

Brightest looking star you've ever seen, but moved abnormally fast and moved in zig-zag patterns

At 4:58Am September 13 I woke up from sleep paralyses, only to look outside my second story window to notice a ridiculously bright looking star in the sky, however it was mostly cloudy so almost no other stars were see able. However, this didn't look "As" far away then a star. The white light seemed to be the top of a flying object and underneath said light was an almost invisible saucer shape body of the aircraft.

I watched it for a duration of 30 minutes before it go so far away and this just happened right as the sunrise was coming. At first the light remained still but appeared to be spinning very slowly with a very large search light beaming out of it diagonally toward the surface. About every 3 minutes this UFO then proceeded to move and ultimately moving higher and right in the sky but in a zig-zag patter that was ridiculously fast.

I've spent all my brain coming up with anything that would logically make sense here, and I am out of ideas, and completely believe this to be some sort of outer space ship, There is nothing on earth that can be that bright in the sort of camouflaged state and move at those speeds in such quick angles.

It looked like it was surveying the area, again can't tell exactly how far away this thing was appeared pretty far couldn't get a better look through a 32x scope, it appeared to leave a trail of some sort of chemical every time it did move though but evaporated within about 4 seconds.

Anyway then around 5:30am it was starting to get light out and lost all sight of the flying object. It almost seemed like the plan was to break away before the sun came cause it was damn well timed.

Over a 2 hour period we watched a bright light in the sky move SSE slowly. I watched about an hour of this, and went to my neighbor because I wanted another adult to see what I was seeing.

I had pulled out my Meade 8” lx200 telescope, so they could view it. They told me they had been watching it for some time, when it was NE.

4 adults and 4 children looked through the telescope and saw an oval almost circle with a dozen plus lights that gradually went from bright white to dim yellow as if on battery power, and draining down.

There was a flashing dim light on the bottom of this object like a distant airplane.

One of those looking through my scope said she could see a person in the middle wearing green. She took a picture through the scope with her cell phone.

I went outside to check my car for my phone in my car. I looked up into the sky and saw 15-25 silvery greenish color and were shaped like lines, as if moving without a ship.

We got in the car to follow them and they vanished into thin air.

Triangular shaped UFO spotted in Waterloo, WI. Traveling slow then gradually gained speed until we lost it.

My boyfriend was walking me out to my car and saw a weird looking animal on the ground that looked to be a bunny. While I was looking for this animal I noticed these bright lights in the sky that kind of looked like headlights but it was flying very low and very slow. I decided to follow it and it gradually became faster and we lost it. We were on our way back to his house and we saw it again but this time it was lower and looked to be landing.

We started following it until it became so low we lost it behind the trees in between Waterloo and Marshall wi. The object was triangle shaped with three lights on the back and two headlights on the front. My boyfriend says he saw two poles sticking up on the back of it. While I was chasing it my car kept stalling while I was pressing the gas, and my car never does that.

After we got back to his house we saw about 7 to 10 bunnies just chasing one another around the street.

half disc like shape with a pale green glow that had movement I've never seen before.

I didn't really think about reporting this at first but I decided why not maybe someone else saw it too. I didn't know where to begin with that anyway.

I was driving north on highway 218 when I was approaching a stop light. I noticed a light, which I thought was an airplane, in the sky to the east. It was in the blue, sun-blocking part of the windshield so it just looked like a light.

When I hit the stop light I ducked my head for a better view. I noticed there was a pale green light around whatever it was and it was shaped like a half circle, but not quite. The end of each side stretched a little further back. The thing itself was a dark color I couldn't make out anything on it because it was night. This was also when I noticed the thing wasn't moving. I turned off the radio and before I could really think the thing took took off heading north east. It moved like nothing I have ever seen before and I don't really know how to explain it. I just glided off and it didn't even seem like it accelerated. It was like it was just at full speed but there was no jerking effect. The green color traced behind it a bit and the thing was gone within a couple seconds.

I was looking around at other cars to see if they saw. I wanted to get out and ask if anyone saw that but the light turned green and I pushed this to the back of my mind basically. Nothing you can really do about it.

It was dark so I only seen the lights. There was a red light on the tip and two yellow lights in the back making a triangular shape. I was sitting in my back yard, the sky was partly cloudy. The ufo was slowly heading south and put off a vibrating noise. It was less than 500 ft above my house.

Right after I seen the ufo, I tried to call and tell someone and my phone kept blinking on and off for two minutes. Ive never had a problem with my phone before this.

My girlfriend and I witnessed a bright orange triangular light in the sky.

I just stepped out of the house and immediately noticed a bright, orange light in the sky quickly moving east. I called my girlfriend to come outside so she could see it as well. She came outside and we watched as it seemed to change direction towards us and then stop. My girlfriend went inside to get a camera. The bright light stayed there until she got back. Once she pointed the camera at the light, it began to change colors and then dim. Eventually, it just became a blinking white light and then disappeared.

Moving lights in the sky seen in different variations.

On this night I spotted several objects in the sky. At first they look like regular stars. These objects are normally really bright white or a yellowish color. They move in circles and zig-zag motions. Some of the objects move very quickly and others move very slow. Some of the objects seem to have flashing lights. The flashing lights usually appear in blue, green, and red colors. I have seen the objects move fully across the sky as well. When they move like this, some fast and some slow. They have moved in all directions of the sky. Some are alone and others in pairs. I've even seen four of them in a group moving together. The objects that cross the sky are white in color and resemble a star. Some dim and some bright. I've seen them move across the sky and literally light up really bright for a split second and then keep moving. I have devoted a lot of my time to looking for these objects at night for the past year. My family has even been involved in tryin! g to figure these things out. The most incredible sighting was with my mother in Grundy Center. About 2am, we had seen several moving objects like we have in the past. But, out of nowhere an object appeared. It lit up bright for a split second and then shot flames like a fireball and left a small short trail of what appeared to be fumes. The object went so quick and went directly upward into the sky never to be seen again. That time we both literally ran for the house. We truly believe that these objects are not stars, satellites or any human/man made crafts. All summer we sat outside at night and looked up into the sky. Repeatedly week after week, we witnessed the same objects in a few different variations. We also have several witnesses some family, some friends and co-workers. Even the neighbors.

Glowing orange, orb like, fireball

Witness one was just sitting outside. Ran inside to get me. We both came outside and seen a small bright glowing object. It almost appeared to me to be what looked like a Chinese glowing lantern, however, it then picked up speed and disintegrated. It started out at the top of the tree line, went behind the trees and I was expecting it to come out the other side of the tree line in about the same height level, but when it came out on the other side it was so far away I could hardly see it. If this was a lantern, it wouldn't have floated that far! It slowly just disappeared. I was very scared, shaking, hair on end. We stood in awe, went to turn around, walking back to the house and there was another large flash through the air, quick, so quick we couldn't tell what it was, or if it was the same type of object. As quick as a falling star for this one, frightened me, I grabbed the other witnesses arm and screamed, we both said "what was that". Just cau! ght our attention, but scared us both and hair on end. So, we clearly seen the one object, after that disappeared and were walking back to the house we seen the bright flash of light, but never seen an object, it was far too fast.

3 seen, 1 Orange globe coming from north, made sharp turn to east. Fast and quiet.

On Dec. 29th at 7:09 pm central time, 3 of us saw a large orange sphere coming from the north.

There was no noise to the sphere.

It took a very sharp turn to the east (something that a helicopter or plane could not do).

It continued east past the tree line then disappeared at a high rate of speed in the sky.

One Fireball like object with an oscillating halo preceding it appeared at 9;05pm moving from South to North and another following the same flight path at approximately 10:50pm. I was driving on the highway past the Waterloo Regional airport when I saw a red light in the sky. I thought it was a phone tower but the light kept getting brighter and brighter and landed by the airport. IT WAS NOT AN AIRPLANE NOR A HELICOPTER. It moved lots faster than an aircraft. It arced across the sky until it went to the ground some where past the airport.

The object was circular in shape and very bright like a star and moved high speed velocity. WAS NOT METEORITE OR ANY IDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT.

Object moved with much faster in comparison to modern airplanes

Red light in the sky over Waterloo, IA

At 20 minutes till midnight just now, my husband, my friend, and I saw a red light in the sky in the northeast really high up, seeming to get higher but come closer to us. It grew brighter, and faded, then grew brighter again before fading out completely as if it went to high for us to see it, but it seemed like it was going in a very large arch almost. Saw it for about a minute. It wasn't blinking, and very red, but had a white light sorta around it. Was NOT a firework, nor a plane or anything like that, and lasted far too long to be a firework. Anyone else see this? What could it be? Also, we were near Covenant Hospital. It was high enough, probably the whole town could have seen it if they were looking. It looked like fire, or a missile, sorta. We tried to take a picture but we only had a camera phone and it didn't show up.

Bright orange orb quickly passing close by without sound.

Large bright orange glowing orb about 1500ft up. Fast smooth movement SE to NW. Came from the south over Highway 20 and moved steadily came over close to Byrnes Park heading toward Waverly. No flashing lights like any aircraft I've seen and NO sound at all! Watched for about 10 min as it passed close by heading NW until it got too far away to see. Orb was like a vapor cloud but bright and almost solid looking with a definite solid dark vertical rectangular area in the center but completely surrounded by the bright orange glow

Clear and quiet night. One orange orb traveling south to north. Approximately 200 feet up and silent.

Light was solid, not flickering and moved steadily in a straight line almost over our house. The orb flashed twice in the distance and continued on until it was no longer visible.

4 Fireball-like UFO Seen in Waterloo, Iowa, July 2009

Two of my friends and I were standing on the corner of West 4th Street and Ansborough Avenue, when we saw the UFO in the southern sky. The objects did not move or change color. We were able to observe the UFO for approximately seven minutes, before all four of them faded away in about thirty seconds.

I saw, just above the tree line, a hovering object, probably a half mile a way. I slowed down my car...

I was driving to meet a friend for his birthday and I noticed out of my car window on highway 275, just above the tree line, a hovering object, probably a half mile a way. I slowed down my car, though could not come to a complete stop due to traffic. My thought upon first glance was that it must be a cropduster plane or something and that it looked stationary because it was coming in my direction. I discovered, though, that it wasn't moving at all--it was hovering, and did not look anything like a plane. It had somewhat rounded top like a tradional UFO drawing, but had sides that seemed to come down at about a twenty and then seventy degree angle (rather than the disk). I looked at it as long as I could, but then it disappeared.

Over Waterloo viewed from Dewar and Oelwein

I live in Dewar, Ia, and was looking towards Waterloo out my bedroom window and saw a light rising from the horizen to the left of a radio tower approx 20 miles from my house.

At first because of the shape and speed I thought it was the international space station as just 3 days before I watched that go by. Then this object suddenly stopped and moved back down. Then up and down and left and right. I was uing the radio tower as a point of reference so I could tell it was moving up and down and it was even moving left and right to either side of the tower.

My mother was watching the same light from the back yard of her house approx 45 miles FURTHER away than me in Oelwein. The light moved in straight lines and hovered in place for about 35 min before it begain to get dimmer and then vanished.

Flamelike UFO seen in Waterloo, IA

Driving home the night of July 18 2008, I caught a glimpse of an object in the sky that I can only describe as flame-like. I was driving in Southwest Waterloo. To be exact, I was heading North on Ansborough Avenue, in between West 4th street and Highway 63, and I looked to my right, where I saw the object hovering high in the sky. It was somewhat orange and yellow, and it seemed to glow. I cannot discern a particular shape. It did not seem to be traveling in any direction at all; rather hovering. It seemed to be very high in the sky, but much lower than an airplane. I was unable to gaze at the object for a continuous amount of time, as I was driving my car, but I viewed the object in several short gazes. I saw the object, and then returned my eyes to the road. I looked at the object again, and then returned my eyes to the road. I did this again. After the third time I returned my eyes to the road, I looked to the sky again, and the object was gone. I did not see any sort of trail left by the object. The entire experience lasted about ten seconds.

White light, moving in different directions/speeds and stopped in the night/morning sky.

I was driving home from work traveling North-West. The road is full of curves, so my direction would change a bit, but my house is North-West of my employer. I got off work at 05:30 AM. As I was driving home, I noticed 3 lights, that looked just like stars all in a strait line at an angle. I never saw this before in this part of the sky. I was trying to look as I was driving, but it was difficult. I only live 5 minutes from work. When I arrived home, I went to my back yard and looked for the three stars. They had moved to a triangle formation, but were in about the same location in the sky. I did not see them move. They were very tiny, and looked as if they were small stars. The light from them was bright white. Then as I was watching them, just sitting still, to my right was one that was traveling towards the others. It looked exactly like the other three, except that this one was moving and I didn't whiteness the others moving except that I noticed that they had changed formation from the last time I seen them. This one continued to move until it was close to the others, then stopped. I tripped my motion halogen light on the side of my house by accident, and it lit up so bright that it was difficult to see, so I walked further out back. It was also early in the morning, so the sky had lightened some. I could still see the lights, but they were not as bright. Then the one that was moving before, began to move again. There was no sound. It was as if it were very far above me. It would move steady, then shoot at a small angle, then slow back down and move steady, then shoot at a small angle as if it were trying to zig zag, but continued to travel in the same direction that it was when it would slow a bit and travel steady. In a matter of about 5 minutes, it traveled from my right hand side, all the way to my left hand side to where I couldn't see it anymore as it moved with the curvature of the atmosphere and disappeared. It had no blinking lights like an airplane, ! but was bright white, like a small star. I was facing south when I saw the lights. It traveled from the South-West to the South-East. The others just stayed in position. After about another 5 minutes watching them not do anything and turning my head to try and find the one that had moved and disappeared, I went in the house and woke my wife to tell her what had happened. I then went back outside to see if they were still there, but the sun had come up and it was too light out. I couldn't see them anymore. I do not drink, nor do I do any drugs. I am mentally sane. I am not into comic books, or a star wars/star trek fan. I have never seen anything like this before. I have seen shooting stars before many times, and this was not one of them.

A shiny silver object floating stationary then made tight but short movements.

It was a sunny afternoon, with minimal clouds in the sky & a slight breeze. I was walking to my friends house who lived 7 houses away. Something gleaming in the sky caught my eye. I stood in place and started staring at it. Immediately I did process of illimitation as to what it could be but had 0 answers. That is when I started to believe it was not from this world. It was oval shaped in a vertical position stationary, It was silver and shined as I could see the reflection of light bouncing off of it. For over 2-3 minutes it stood absolutely still along with me as if we were both watching each other. It never moved so I continued walking towards my friends house keeping my eyes locked on it. 20 Feet into my direction I noticed it started slowly moving in a straight line maybe a 50 yard distance travel then came to a stop. It did the same thing in another direction then stopped, maybe a total of 4-5 times. The movements it made were extremally precise. I took my eyes off of it to round a corner into his yard and when I looked back up it was in a different location (300-400 yards) from original spot. It was floating SLOWLY away from sight until it went behind the trees northbound.

silent objest with rippling effect

i was outside about 10 pm and the night was clear.i was looking at orion when i noticed an orange glow to the right. i saw what appeared to be a "bat" shaped object.that is the closet thing i can compare the shape to. it seemed to be glowing slightly orange on what i would call the main body only. the glow then went away.it was a brownish black color and had no lights or sound. it was very easy to see against the night sky. it did not leave a trail and was going to the north-northwest.it moved very quickly,and was very high, although not as high as a jet would be. the thing about this that i can't understand is that the "wings" seemed to ripple. each wing moved at the same time per ripple.it was like from the body a third of the way out the wing, then from there to another third of the way out and again from there to the end of the wing.it moved in a perfectly striaght line and by the time i had turned around as it went over head, it was gone. the size was about half of my closed fist at arms length.i have no idea what it was, but sure wish i knew.

Bright White/Sliver Cigar Shaped Craft sighted Iowa

This day I remember because it was my birthday, we were out in the hot tub. Was me and a friend. She is the one that spotted it. At first it looked like a pin point of bright light almost like a airplane headlight. We continued watching it until it came into focuse. We both noticed its color, white metallic or sliver metallic color. We both seen that it didnt have fins or wings nothing like an airplane at all. Then we noticed that it was rounded almost pill like, we both then said a cigar! We watched this thing just glide along, no sound at all was present. The back ground was in residential neighborhood. Like stated we were in the hot tub. This object was low enough to give us this detial but not low enough to tell if there were people or windows or writeings. Although to me it seemed almost solid. Also noticed that the object left no trails like a plane.

White Cigar Shaped Craft seen over Waterloo, Iowa

On August 5th, 2006 I have seen a "White Cigar shaped craft" in Waterloo, Iowa. It was over the street in front of my sisters House and over houses in the residential area. When I first spotted it…it gave a bright White Light. So bright it almost was blinding as I was sitting in the Hot Tub. My Friend’s Birthday was that day and she was there to also witness it after I pointed it out to her. After 30 seconds or so we seen this Long Rounded at both ends no wings no Tail, no Chemtrail (Smoke) that I could see, and no Wire or antennas plus just real "LONG!" I didn’t see any writing of any sort. It seemed to be moving slow or just gliding through the air, but at that size and bulk it could have been going much faster. It seemed to be solid and a bit metallic white.

There was also no noise that it made. This Cigar shaped craft was flying really low. It was 70-85 feet in the air just over the tops of the tallest trees The Tallest trees being 45-50 feet tall. It was a sight no one would forget. I watched this craft for 4 and half minutes! Watching it with my friend. It was around 5:40 pm.. There were only a few clouds, and when it reached a cloud as I watched it go behind the cloud, and waiting for it to reappear it just was gone. No it wasn’t a plane or a Blimp, Weather balloon, or swamp gas. Any more information would be wonderful. Thank you.

I have also seen this craft before with my sister but she refuses to get involved. Hope this helps.

White spherical object and missing time

As I was driving home on a back road to my house after having dropped off some friends after a night out I noticed a bright light, spherical in shape, off to the left side of my car. It was about 75 yards away from me and I would say it was about 50-75 yards above the ground. I passed by some woods and the thing seemed to travel right over the tree tops and it traveled just as freely as I passed some fields. It appeared to be lighted from within. There were no visible external lights and it was slightly larger than a basketball in size when held at an arm's length. I've seen these spheres before, first time being in 1991 on my way home from work in the middle of the night. Subsequent sightings took place while I lived in Florida and now I've relocated back to upstate NY (my latest sighting). After a few minutes, this sphere came close to my car as I drove and it kept pace with me. It was as strange a sight just as the previous times. I've made a few reports to this site before and I know that there really is something out there. Although this may seem impertinent, but what I thought should only take me a few minutes to get home, I was shocked to realize that I'd lost 1 hour and a half by the time I arrived.

Very fast, silent, moving craft enveloped by vapor, @ about 8000 feet AGL traveling SW to NW then W

Standing on my back porch having a smoke, looked to South East, saw a very fast moving craft, had yellow, green, and red glow enveloped in a shroud of vapor as if it was an aircraft moving very fast. Apperared to be at around, 8000 feet AGL, I had to move very quickly across my back yard, to follow it across the sky traveling South East to Northwest but about halfway across the sky above my house it made a few jerky motions and changed to a more westerly direction and then was out of view. I waited for some sound as it had to be going greater then the speed of sound at that altitude but no sound ever came, it was absolutely silent. About three minutes later I went back outside and a small light piston aircraft at about the same altitude was seen going from South East to North West.

Two points of light chased by helicopters over Lake Greenwood, South Carolina

A group of approximately 10 people were on my back deck watching a football game and socializing when I started hearing a faint mechanical noise. At first I thought it was a train (there is a track approximately 1/4 mile from my house). After about thirty seconds it became clear that it was a helicopter. I thought at the time that it was quite strange for two reasons: first, I don't remember seeing any helicopters at the lake before, and two, it was dark.

A friend and I ran down my steps and into the clearing near the water. We then saw that there were two helicopters flying very low and fairly fast. There was enough ambient light that we could clearly see the silhouettes of the helicopters. It was several seconds before I noticed that they appeared to be chasing two "points of light" that were traveling equally as low and fast, staying about 750 feet in front of the helicopters. They were moving independent of each other and the helicopters, but there was no "silhouette" of any kind associated with the two objects that I would estimate as being 3-5 feet in diameter.

My friend works as a project engineer for a contractor. I am 37, working on my pilot's license, have some college, run my families' business, own a small business, am elected to a minor local office and have a 16 year old son that lives with me.

Giant Chevron

We saw a perfect Chevron formation,at a very high altitude. It was either 9 individual craft,or one giant ship.Huge. It moved from the south-southwest to the north-northeast in abruptly changing increments over the Mississippi River.There was no sound. The lights were blueish-white,and did not flash. We were 20 ish at the time,having a winter 4x4 off road jaunt. The skies were perfectly clear,these were not stars. I am now Communications Tech,My friend an Attorney.

bright light over my naborhood that made no noise at all but wasnt from here,woke me from a dead sleep.

i was 9 months preg, when i for no reason at all just sat up and went stright to my window an looked out, all i could see was this huge ovel shaped way way bright thing in the sky above my naborhood, i was shoked to see how low this thing was that i could'nt move or scream or anything ,i just stood there staring in disbelife at this extreamly bright white thing that was making no sound at all. none, i was listen to see if it could of been a plane, hellacopter, anything! NO NOISE AT ALL. I told a few people since this has happened and dont care if any one belives me or not, but i know what i seen wasnt from here.

Swift moving metallic orb, traveling East to West.

I was watching out my north window watching the sun getting close to setting. The Orb, much like a Christmas tree ornament, was highly reflective reflecting the sky color and cloud texture. It moved very rapidly from right to left and was gone before I could turn my head to track it. The object size was that of a quarter dollar coin held between thumb and finger at arm's length.

4 high school students see bright, ground-level, slow moving fireball in the late 1930's

I am reporting an event that happened to my recently deceased grandmother. She was in her late teens at the time of this event, around 1939. She had a habit of telling the same stories from her youth over and over, but this one I was always delighted in hearing as many times as she cared to share it.

My grandmother was in a car waiting with 3 other school mates before a play/musical type performance at her school. They were a bit early, so they waited for someone to come unlock the school door. I'm estimating around 8 PM, but she never said exactly, only that it was after dark.

In those days, there were no street lights out in that remote area, so it was pitch dark. Shortly after pulling up, they saw a bright light approach from the rear. My grandmother was in the back driver's side of the car, and the light was approaching from the passenger's side rear. They all assumed it was a flash light or car headlight of someone to come open up the door.

The light got brighter, so bright that it filled the car interior with light. It was so bright my grandmother said it was as bright as daylight. They saw a glowing fireball, about the size of a basketball, or large melon, floating by the car, about 2 or 3 feet away from the car, moving forward on the passenger side about 4 feet above the ground at a slow walking speed.

She said it was a great big, perfectly circular ball of "fire", yet it made no sound. The girl next to her screamed, and they all got concerned. They waited until it passed, and then the two guys in the front of the car got out and followed it. My grandmother and her friend waited in the car, scared to go outside. The fireball drifted into the woods and eventually out of sight, and the guys came back and said it had disappeared.

Its height, size, color, brightness, or trajectory never varied, and it moved smoothly the entire way. It truly perplexed them all, and they would mention it over the years.
