Orange light Hovered above the tree line in the south southwestern sky far away and after about 45 seconds it started moving towards the south. It moved for about 15 seconds and then we both lost sight of it.

Thought it was a star until it moved around and disappeared.

I was walking my dogs down our driveway, eastward, toward the bay, and I noticed two large, bright, colinear stars above the tree line. They were relatively close to each other, about the width of my palm held at arm's length, and to my eyes, they were identical in size and intensity. Then I realized the star on the left was actually moving. Slowly, it drifted down, diagonally to the left, and then it disappeared completely. I kept watching, trying to figure out if a cloud had obscured it, or if it had really vanished, noting that the star on the right remained entirely visible. The left star reappeared in different spot, slightly above and to the left of the last position. It did not move, but the light from it seemed to pulse/flicker. It stayed in that position for a few seconds, and then disappeared again. The star on the right remained static. In a few seconds, the left star reappeared, this time, much less bright and smaller, as if it had quickly traveled away from me to the East, it seemed. Its position had lowered to about the midpoint of the other two positions. I lost it soon after because it blended in with the other stars at that point. All of the different positions would fit behind a post-it note held at arm's length, so the movement was noticeable only if you were paying attention. I have no idea how close or far away it actually was.

I immediately checked a Flight Radar app, and there was nothing even remotely nearby. We do have AF bases in the area, but I've never seen anything that could emulate a star.

When I walked back up the driveway, I did notice a very low, very long, slender streak of cloud below the two stars, so it's possible that the pulsing/flickering was a result of a thin cloud passing in front of it. This cloud covered a much wider area than the distance between the two stars, so I feel like if it drifted across the left one, it would have also changed the appearance of the other. The star on the right never changed.

The light hovered silently in the sky. After 5 or 10 minutes the object shot up in the sky with a bright light that resembled welding.

The light was a disk shape that hovered in the sky silently. It would hover for two minutes then again silently moved about 50ft directly to the side 3 times around neighbor's houses. Each time it moved it hovered for 2 minutes in one spot then move again with no sound.The object was about 100 feet above the power line. From my perspective it was twice the size of a car. The object seemed to be just a light but a shadow was visible around the light as if the light was coming out of something. After about 10 minutes the object shot straight up in the sky, silently again, very high into the sky.

As it shot directly up in the sky it created a light so bright that resembled welding light. It was so bright it could of damaged your eyes. We had to look away. Once we looked back up, after the light was gone, it sat for a second in the upper atmosphere and went diagonaly to side then disappeared.

My cousin and I were on the balcony watching stars, when suddenly one of them dropped rapidly, stopped, then slowly began moving right.

We were watching the stars, one of the stars dropped at a rapid speed for about 3 seconds, came to a complete stop, then slowly began moving right further towards the ocean. Now at 12:02, the object is still moving right but at a very slow pace. The only way we can tell it is moving it's distance from a nearby antenna and how it is seemingly moving further right from it.

We were trying out a binocular that was donated to sell for the Muscular Dystrophy yard sale fundraising. I had asked my brother to look at the moon, while he is looking at the moon,right side of the moon but not next to it probably from my point of view about 20ft away from the moon I saw a really bright light as far as the moon appeared and I told my brother to look to his right. I grab the binocular from him so I would see it and it just disappeared. My brother mentioned that he saw a flash about half a second.

I honestly believe that was a UFO because of the how far of the distance. It's like a star. But it's was not a star because it moved fast and it was still bright and cloudy where I live.

We Spotted a small orange orb over the ocean, our first thought was it may be Mars, but the orb got bigger and it was able to move very fast- up down and all directions. My son got out his phone to video the orbs, but they suddenly disappeared before he could record them.

This took place in Panama City, Florida. The time and date are stamped, thanks to Snapchat filter. However, nothing else is filtered on this photo. The clouds and sun is how the iPhone lens picked it up! The UFO was NOT seen in real time. The only thing seen while recording was the seagulls. I originally took out my phone to record the seagulls because they were flying really low to the people and was abnormal, considering no one had any food.

Once I got home I realized this video looked different. It looked like a storm was coming and it was a beautiful, sunny day. When I slowed the video down, I recognized the UFO.

Tonight, traveling North to South was a slow moving fireball moving in a slow straight line. I happened to look up while standing outside with friends and family to see what appeared to be a fireball directly above us. It was a cloudy night and the apparent fireball was very visible below the cloud deck. There was no sound heard at all during this event. I was able to capture a cell phone video approximately 30 seconds long before it flickered slightly and then completely faded out. It did not travel out of viewing distance, it simply stopped and vanished. What we witnessed tonight was completely unexplainable and unlike anything any of us had ever seen before.

went to let the dogs out ((deleted)), and looked up as usual to appreciate the stars, and one was for sure not a star. far away from the moon, ruling out the north star and just beaming! sort of yellow at least in comparison to an actual star and much bigger. would just beam bright then get real tiny and dim, then back to big and bright. it is circular as im writing this as I watch it. only one.saw one like.this in NY and eventually just slowly vanished across the sky behind a tree line.

Diamond shaped light time warps across sky.

At abt 6:00pm CST on the way home from work my daughter and I saw a diamond shipped light in the sky to the east, just above the tree line from where we were sitting at a red light. The light was a brilliant bright white, and about the size of a cars headlamp (from where we were). The light flickered 2 times, dimming a little more each flicker, then went out however at nearly the same instant it went out, it lit back up a short distance away towards the east...in a straight line. I'm talking milliseconds here...then it did the same thing again. The 3rd time it faded out and didn't show up again. When this happened all I could do was yell "Holy crap it just time warped. Did you see that?!?!" My daughter yelled "I saw it mommy, I saw it too!" (She’s 10) When I say it moved farther east, I do not mean a great distance, it remained in the same general area of the sky. Afterword's we noticed an abundance of planes or jets in the sky flying thr! ough that same area from all directions...as if searching or investigating. I sincerely regret that I cant provide images, I was driving at the time.

Walking by the water, my wife and I spot a strange body in water and find vertebrae or finger with spines or spikes on rocks.

On 4/21/2014 at about 2:00 pm my wife and i came across something that looks completely alien on the shore in Panama City Florida. It appears to be the vertebrae or finger of some type of creature. There are a spikes or spines protruding directly from the bone structure. We further observed the shape of a body (human like but not quite) further in the water appeareing to have snaggedoon the marine vegetation. We have pictures.

I went outside to smoke a cigarette and looked up in the night sky as I normally do and almost immediately my attention was drawn to the SW at a bright light slightly bigger and brighter than the stars,

I watched its course and the light itself wondering if maybe it was a plane at high altitude. I am 100% certain it was not, its course was not a straight line but looked almost like it were a fire fly trying to fly straight the speed was eerily constant and slowish.

As I watched the light come in from the SW, I continued to watch it until it was the the NE of me, where it seemed to slow down and turn a bland orange color, and proceeded to disappear completely. I do not mean it traveled until I could no longer see it; it faded like flame dying in darkness.

This is the first time I have ever encountered something I can not explain.

Two bright orbs zig zagging over Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.

My husband and I were outside on our back patio watching the jets fly in to Tyndall Air Force Base from Eglin Air Force Base. It was cloudy but the jets were flying low enough to cause very loud noise and we have always been able to see the jets clearly because we are only seven miles from the landing strip.

After the jets landed, we saw two bright orbs, what we thought were very bright stars high up in the sky, higher than the jets. The one on the left was zig zagging back and forth and the one on the right was just drifting slowly towards the left. This went on for about five minutes, zig zagging from here to there and then the lights just disappeared.

There was no fading of lights, no sound, and absolutely no tracers.

We watch the jets come in every night and have never experienced this kind of thing.

My husband is a non-believer in UFO's. This has changed his mind.

Stationary hovering object with blinking green and red lights.

At approximately 21:15 on October 16, 2010, my wife and son summoned me outside to observe a strange pulsating object in the distant sky. Unfortunately, we do not own a telescope or device for distant magnification of objects.

Using a pair of binoculars I looked toward the object to see what I could. Primary observation revealed what appeared to be pulsating star. However, as I focused further on the object, I noticed a blinking red and green light.

I told my family that it was nothing more than an aircraft like a plane, blimp, etc. The thing that made me wonder is that the object never moved.

Also, my wife informed me that many nights, while outside walking and such, she has observed the same occurence in other parts of the sky resembling the same thing.

We are just an ordinary working family with two kids and a couple of dogs. Never been into reporting ufo's or starting contreversy on the issue. Not looking for any big news or public attention on the issue. Just wondering what the object may be.

Several round orange-yellow glowing objects over western end of Panama City, FL beach

My family and I were vacationing at the western-most end of Panama City the night of July 21, 2007. It was around 9:00 pm and we had just finished having dinner on the balcony of our 15th floor condo. My husband took our two kids (ages 9 & 14) to walk on the beach. I remained on the balcony, speaking to my mother on the telephone.

I sat on the balcony looking directly out at the ocean and sky. It was dark, but the surface of the water and the sky were very discernable. It was easy to make out where one ended and the other began. As I looked out, I noticed a large, round. orange-yellow glowing object appear in the sky. Over the next few minutes, four others just like it also appeared. The objects would glow and disappear on and off for several minutes to follow. Three other objects, exactly the same size and shape as the original five, appeared off to the right in a triangle pattern shortly after. In a span of approximately thirty minutes, several objects appeared in the sky and never moved. The only change in their appearance or position was that they glowed on and off at different intervals.

As this was happening, I told my mother that I thought I was seeing UFOs. She laughed until I told her that I was absolutely serious. At that time my husband and kids came rushing back into the condo asking if I had seen the strange light in the sky. We watched the sky for many hours that night, and every night for the remainder of our vacation. We saw nothing more of the strange lights.

Until the night of July 21st, I absolutely did NOT believe in UFOs. I thought anyone who claimed to believe in such things was a nut. I still don’t believe that there are little green men flying around our atmosphere, but I do know that my family and I saw something that cannot be explained by anything we have ever seen before. They were not planes – they never moved. They were not helicopters -- they were much larger and perfectly round. They were not fireworks. They glowed on and off in the sky and then vanished.

Two other strange events happened in connection with our sighting. First, when we awoke the next morning, we immediately searched the news stations for reports of the strange light, because we were certain that someone else HAD to have seen what we saw. We could find nothing on television, so I checked the Internet. On The Drudge Report there was a story about a UFO sighting in England – with pictures. The photos were exactly what we had seen several hours later in Panama City, FL.

After I had read all of the articles that I could find regarding the strange event in England, I came upon this site and one other where I could post information regarding our sighting. I filled out the required information and uploaded my account. I was aware that there could be some lapse between the time that I posted our information and the time that it appeared on the sites, but my postings never made either of the sites. It was as if they never existed.

Black Oval Shaped Halo Moving in the Christmas Night Sky

I was trying to get out of my car to go into my house and as I was having a lot of back pain I had to hoist myself up out of the car.

As I pulled myself up out of my car, I was kind of looking forward yet up. My 14 year old son was at my side just in case my pinched nerve in my back wouldn't allow me to hoist myself fully up.

I'm trying to get out of the car and all of the sudden I see this kind of black, flattened oval shaped thing jut out from behind this big star. It seemed black in the middle and had this white lighted halo surrounding the black flat oval thing.

I literally gasped in shock and stopped dead in my tracks because I couldn't believe my eyes.

My son asked me if I was okay and I said yes, but that I'd just saw this thing in the sky. I described it, we both glanced back up and I thought it sounded ridiculous so I just dropped it and we went into the house.

I told my mother about the occurence and she suggested I report it so I am.

It was really a shock to me, it looked like it came out from behind the star, but I wasn't looking long at all so I don't know, but I do know I saw what I saw and it was weird.

Red Orb Light (Not Blinking).

This is the third time this month i've seen this same thing. I went outside to smoke a cigg. at 6:42 central standard time.

I was looking up at the stars, when i notice a plane coming from the east. I looked to the west and there it was a red orb light (not blinking). The orb was comeing from the west going east and there was another plane going the same direction as the red orb.

The plane coming from the west was ahead of the orb. What i thought was strange, was that the orb and the plane going in the same diection were close to each other when the orb past the plane. The Red orb seemed to be moving faster than the plane.

The planes could have been jets, i did hear jet engine. I could not tell if it was from the to planes in the sky or the none flashing red orb.

I went outside to smoke a cigg. looked up and seen a reddish, orange circluar orb light in the sky going to the east. it looked like it made a 90 degree turn to the north and shot up out of sight in less then 3 to 4 seconds. This isn't the first time i've seen a round reddish, orange orb in the sky in Bayou George.

Sphere-shaped orb objects photographed near F22s in Panama City, FL

I was spending the morning in the backyard with my son at my residence just after 1100hrs when a couple F22s were making a descent towards Tyndall AFB going over my house in Panama City. I attempted to snap a photo with my digital camera, only to find out the picture was sort of out of focus but I decided to keep it and upload it to my PC later. When I uploaded the picture and zoomed in, I noticed something near the aircraft that just struck me as odd. It looks like one or two small sphere-shaped cloud-like objects or orbs hovering/flying together in front of and either just above or below the flight path of the F22s. Its weird because these objects appear to be camouflaging themselves in or around the clouds. I heard no noises besides the planes, and didn't see anything unusual at the time until I saw the picture up close.

Multiple objects of varying kinds being chase by fighters from tyndall AFB

Crystal clear night, stepped outside to have a cigarette, live near Tyndall AFB in panama city, looked up because I heard jets.

At first I saw three fighters and one craft of unknown shape that was lit up all over, yellowish lights hard to tell what shape. One of the fighters was within a couple three hundred feet of it and the other two were approximatly 2 miles behind in hot pursuit.

The large object peeled off and was out of sight in a matter of seconds, however the fighters did not follow but they did kick on their afterburners until I couldn't see them anymore, even w/ bino's.

Called my girlfriend outside to see this and apparently while I was looking at her telling her what I saw, she saw something move very quickly across the sky 1 sec +-, this definatly freaked her out.

As I continued to watch the jets and afterburners, I caught comething by pure chance moving at a high rate of speed, thought it was a dim star but it was moving extremely fast coming from the direction the jets were heading,

At this point the base came alive and more jets were put into the air. Didn't see anything else.

Unidentifed Flashing Object In Sky, Observed.

Unidentified object flashing red, blue, yellow, green, orange and white lights. Called local Air Force Base to see if there were any scheduled flights or observations none were scheduled. Talked to a woman said that the "observations" were some of the discriptions she had heard from prior UFO sightings. Object would move swiftly in a horizontal line back and forth no more than 2 inches from a humans point of view.

At 04:24 this morning I witnessed what I though at first was a shooting star. It was moving at a quick pace, then stopped and stayed in one place for about 5 minutes and then started traveling again in a different direction and then disappeared. It was too far up to see a shape, but appeared to be white in color much like a star, seemed to be as high as the stars in the morning sky and the same size as a small star.

Three boomerang shaped objects hover the ocean.

I was very shocked by what on the evening of March 13. I was at the beach looking at the stars and a few boats in the distance. To my left I was looking at a boat and out of the corner of my eye I saw what appeared to be a flash of light. I quickly looked and realized it was the shape of a boomerang or sideways V. It was fire orange with no distinctness about it. I thought it was quite strange but I figured it was a flash from a boat. It stayed there for a few seconds and slowly went away. Shortly after another one appeared all in slow motion, it went away and then another showed up. I had no idea what this was. I looked around hopeing someone else saw the same thing. No one else was around. All day jets had been flying by and I thought maybe that was what it was, but it was silent and it was bright orange (jets arent orange). I have no idea what I saw. After reading a few siteing I read one from the fall of 2001 from Panama City and it sound quite familiar. Beats me what was but it was a sight i will never forget.

While fishing approx. 10 miles s of PC in the Gulf of Mexico, witnessed 5 unusually slow flying fighter jets heading southeastward between us and the coast. As they flew further down the coast, we noticed a strange white stationary object above/in front of fighters. The jets looked to be investigating the object. Went to search for binoculars but I could no longer see either the jets or the object.

I saw a light streak that I thought was a shooting star except upon further attention it was the wrong color and too thick of a trail. By the time the image of the triangle appeared in my eye it was gone.

My first impression of what I saw was that I was seeing the underbelly of a plane or something of that sort, but then when I processed the whole event I realized that it couldn't have been a plane that close to the land with that configuration and there wouldn't be a chance to have the underbelly lit like it was.

My husbend and i was on vacation. We were on the pier and i was looking up at the stars. It was a beautyfull night. He was fishing off of the pier. I could see all of the stars and i thought i was looking at some planes but thay were to far up in the sky. They looked like stars. Thay were going so fast i tought that thay were going to crash into each other but thay didn't. They flew so fast and then thay just stopped.I had to rub my eyes and look again. They were still there. I knew it was not planes because thay didn't have the red lights on them and just stopped in mid air. I kept looking but thay didn't move after that. I know it has been a long time sents then but i just found out how to tell you. I can't get it off my mind.

During a road trip to Panama City a friend and I witnessed a pair of luminous light formations appear and dissappear over the Gulf.

This was years ago, so my memory of exact times and dates may be assumed to be a "best guess" but all details of the objects, and their behavior are still completely clear in my mind. A close friend and I had been working our tails off all year without a break, as we were both enrolled in the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and he(my friend) was also employed as the assistant to the broadcasting(mass comm) department(in which I was taking classes at the time), and in addition we produced a public access cable show in our spare time, which there was little of. In short, we needed a break, and thought it would make an interesting show if we documented ourselves winning the florida state lottery, so we used the show as an excuse for a road trip, and took one of the department's cameras with us (no, we didn't expect to win, but if we had it would've made great television). So after a long drive from Birmingham, and a long afternoon of filling out lottery tickets, neither of us wanted to drive back, so we found a cheap motel, and put away our stuff to stay the night. It was about 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon when we both went out to the beach behind our hotel, and plopped down into a pair of those wooden beach chairs, and admired the calm sea, making small talk as the sun sank to the horizon. I don't recall which of us saw it first, because at first we didn't think anything of it, as there had been planes in the sky all day, and this seemed at the outset to be just an oddly-colored set of airplane lights. Although after about 15 or 20 minutes the lights hadn't moved, and we both took notice then. There were two rows of lights, the top row was an arc of four (reddish-violet in color)and were larger (not brighter) than the bottom row of three (bright yellow) they were arranged like this: O O <----Violet arc of lights O ... O ^------Yellow row of lights My initial thought was of a jetliner with four violet lights on the front of it's wings, and three bright yellow tail lights, seen in perspective flying towards the land. However since it was somewhat within a cloud, no structure was apparent. Also, nothing that size(jumbo-jet size) that I know of can hover, noiselessly (or if it did make noise, it was drowned out by the incoming surf). We watched the object, for a few moments, and it dawned on me that we had a camera in the trunk of the car, and there might be some way to profit from having a (near)professional quality UFO video (students are often broke, y'know), so I told my friend to go get the camera-he had the keys (we had driven in his car). He refused to be moved from staring at the thing, and I quite frankly, didn't want to miss a moment either, so we stood there arguing about who should get the camera, while waching the object, when it dissappeared, like somone flipping off a light switch. We both stood there for a moment, then I sat back down on the chair, as did he, and we started talking about what we had just saw, and UFO's in general. By this time the sun had completely set, and we could see stars in the (mostly) clear sky. As we sat there looking around for any other strange things, we both noticed a number of planes in the air(or should I say red tail lights of planes)passing overhead at extremely high altitude, always in pairs, from right horizon to left (west to east) then back again. There must have been more than a dozen planes in the air in the next hour, before they finally stopped flying over our position. When the sky was clear again, as if on cue the object reappeared just as suddenly as it had vanished, and seemingly hadn't moved an inch. This time I was yelling "GET THE CAMERA!"(while elbowing my poor pal), and as we watched, another set of lights appeared, to the right, and above the first set(this time it was too dark to see if there was a connecting structure), and the first set of lights slowly faded away. After the dissapearance of the first object, my friend (FINALLY) trundled off back to the car, to get the camera. as he went away, so did the second object, lightswitch-style. Then I looked around the beach, and noticed that there wasn't a soul in sight. I must admit it-I got the creeps at that point, with the mist and surf slowly creeping up to the chairs, it was all I could do to sit still, and not run ! off to help my friend with the camera. As I sat there looking at the sky, I saw one final display. It was as if one of the objects was turned upside-down, right next to the other, with all lights on both glowing an intense yellow. Like this: O O O ... O O ... O O O This flashed brightly for a moment,low near the horizon, then was gone. After many long minutes my friend returned with the camera, tripod, and batteries, plopped it all down, and we both set it up. We searched the sky for an indeterminate amout of time to no avail, there was to be no more light show that night. But as we packed up to go back to our room, there was one other person on the beach who walked up to us and asked if we had seen the lights, too. "Yes,"we replied "what the hell were they?" "Don't know, but that's been going on all week" he replied. I later determined(by looking at our handy road map)that to our west was Eglin AFB, the likely source of the planes, and nearby was Gulf Breeze, which I later suspected may have been the source of the other things. Additionally, the lights of each set of lights never never changed position relative to each other which is what leads me to believe that there were two seperate objects whose surfaces were adorned with these lights. Also, the lights gave off an aura (almost like neon, but as bright as incandescent) which readily differentiated them from regular lights (though during the daylight sighting I attributed this aura to the lights being inside the boundary of a cloud, diffracting through the water vapor, but at night- it was a whole different story). Also , when we got home, my friend and I drew sketches of what we saw seperately (to make sure we both had the same experience) and they matched exactly.

3 transparent Delta-wing shaped obects flying in formation over the Gulf of Mexico in 1986

In the late spring, 1986, I was at Panama City Beach, Florida, with a friend of mine.

It was dusk, and the stars were just beginning to come out. We were standing at the edge of the beach when something in the air caught my friend's eye. At that time, he was a policeman serving the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, and he is to this day still employed as a policeman. I had just started graduate school.

He motioned to me to look up. As we watched, we saw three delta-wing shaped objects flying in a V-formation at what appeared to be a very high altitude out over the water in the Gulf of Mexico. The three objects flew south for a few seconds and then banked to the west.

As they did so, we both were amazed that we could see stars through the objects. They were luminous, but not hugely bright. They appeared to be transparent or had a certain hard-to-describe transparent quality about them.

As they banked, they increased in speed and, still in a V-formation, they zoomed out of sight in a just a few seconds. The sighting lasted for 20 to 30 seconds max. The objects made no noise that we were able to detect.

My friend and I went back to the house where we were staying and took out pencils and paper. We went in separate rooms and drew what we had seen just to make sure we had both seen exactly the same thing. We compared our drawings and they were the same. Neither of us were on drugs or alcohol.

I have carried this experience with me for many years and would sign a sworn affidavit attesting to the truth of this sighting.

This was more of an audible sighting instead of a visual. At approx. 3:00 in the morning, my backyard suddenly lit up with a brilliant bright, white light. The light came from above the trees because the shadows looked like shadows at noon. There was no wind to disturb any of the trees or shrubbery. Above the trees were yellow and red strobing lights. Accompaning the bright lights was a very high pitch warbling sound (think typical sci-fi sound effect).

I pulled on some pants and ran outside with my dad but by this time the object had turned on what sounded like a jet engine and headed toward the east. The warbling continued but the primary sound was one of a jet.

With the departure of the object, everything returned to quiet.

We have rarely spoken about this incident.

Sphere Lights up, goes out intermittently, silent, fast, came close, 5 minutes watching

My girlfriend and I were on the primary dunes in a sparsly populated area of the beach. It was a clear starry night, comfortable temps. I thought I'd seen a star go out and mentioned it. As we watched, it came back on, repeating this on a few seconds then off. It approached to about 50 yards out in the gulf, dropped to the water, raised back up, came in to where the water (calm) met the shore. Hovered about 30 feet away from us, 10 feet off the ground, silently. It was spherical and just smaller than a soccer ball. We stood up, I took one step to go look closer, it took off in an arc to the sky westward, must have covered 3 miles in a second or better.

Years later, I was contacted by my friend and I asked her to recount the story.

She still had the same story I had, except that as we stood. She wanted to run away.

A large circular bright light appeared abruptly and stationary, for 10 to 20 minutes in front of the USS Vigor (MSO-473) at two in the morning.

Sighting happened 10 (ten) miles out at sea. I had lookout duty from 0000-0400, on the bridge of the mine sweeper USS Vigor (MSO473). I was a boatswains mate seaman at the time. Other observers included a lieutenant JG (also on the bridge); a navigator seaman (on the bridge); a helmsman (one deck below the bridge); an engineman next to the helmsman operating the engines; and an after steering/lookout (engineman), on the fan tail.

The object appeared instantly; approximatly at a 45 degree angle in front of the ship and it looked about a hundred feet foward and one hundred feet from the water. It was a huge light. General Quarters was sounded and all personal went to battle stations. The light disappeared as abruptly as it appeared (10 to 20 minutes was how long the light stayed in front of the ship).

This event was written in the log book as a UFO sighting. Later that morning we were told that the airforce said that it was an experimental flare. (We were 10 (ten) miles out at sea, with no air craft or other ships in sight.
