Bright object in sky over cayuga lake

Object was pretty high in the sky did not move was very bright and did not move. It showed up soon after sunset. Was in sky about ten minutes when it quickly faded and dissapeared…I took a video of it, when zooming in it looks like a square or rectangle with line through the middle.

Hovering bright light thought to possibly be Venus near the horizon intensity grew brighter then it turned north until out of sight.

Viewing the night sky from the backyard on the lake at our fire pit, I noticed what I thought was a planet near the horizon that was unusually bright. I didn’t have my phone to check what could be seen in the night sky. We were viewing the west sky. From the south we heard than saw 2 or 3 helicopters, thinking military, fly in formation north over the lake out of sight. That was unusual in itself. Husband thought they turned west toward the UFO at one point. It was then that I remarked I wondered what that planet was and then the light grew brighter and larger, then smaller and began to move north. We also noticed a boat in the lake near our dock that seemed to moving around in a circle then left after the the light was gone. We rarely hear or see helicopters at night or boats on the lake at night lingering so near our shore. I assumed it was some kind of plane . My husband went over to talk to neighbors out at their fire pit and they all saw it too. Neighbors dogs had started barking prior to the helicopters arriving.

A U.F.O. of two distant lights, or two U.F.O's that operated as one, that seemed to be in complete control of the environment.

My wife and I live in a very rural community. We were almost home, when we saw two blinking lights. My first initial thoughts was it was a helicopter hovering perpendicular to us, but then as we slowed down the lights moved to different altitudes, but now moving away from us as the same speed. As we followed, they began to pick speed, so did we. Faster and faster I drove but right before a big clearing they rose up and over a treeline just in time for us to lose them. I could have put it off as something from the military, but here are the questions that keep me wandering? They never made a sound. The distance between the treeline and them seemed like they went through the trees not over. The speed they accelerated at seemed too incredible. They moved like they had complete control of the environment around them. It felt like we were chasing ghost. And they knew exactly when to disappear to avoid a very revealing position.
