I was coming off the 462 bridge into columbia and off to the right there was 1 orange object that looked like a orb, as I got closer, I saw almost underneath it and it looked like it had 4 Lil orange tires on it .it then split into 3 bjects.. Myself, as well as my friend have camera and ring doorbell footage of the whole thing.

From a distance the first one looked like a giant “star” and a plane flew over it. That is when I realized it was massive. When it got close I saw red, green, and white lights flashing. The craft got even closer going over my car and it was massive like house size massive. I got a blurry picture while driving before it got super close. Maybe 5 minutes after it past two much smaller ones past over.

I have been fortunate experiencing 3 sightings in the early 70s and in 1966 and "believe" I saw one last night.

I usually always look into the sky hoping for a fourth sighting day and night. last night I witnessed a light moving oddly slow for an aircraft. what got my attention was there were no required port and starboard colored light, just a white light. Then watched light dim slowly and disappear.

My first 3 sightings were obviously UAPs; a parallelogram inverting itself green to blue repeating itself for what I believe was its propulsion system( Aiken SC in 1973. Then with a friend caught an orb speeding from horizon to disappearing within 1 possibly 2 seconds. My first one(1966) got my attention because of an unfamiliar sound causing me to look up and watched a luminous disk relatively low in altitude pass almost directly overhead.

Multiple lights looked like falling stars with tails they kinda looked like flares but they were not. This happened around 4 AM. No sound.

On August 18, 2024 around 4-4:15 AM I was looking up at our stars as I have done for years now and What I Witnessed was nothing short of Incredible…What I thought I was seeing was a falling star but it moved “controlled” moving right to left and then another comes and then another seemingly to come from the same spot and then they stopped coming or so I thought. A few seconds/minutes later Now coming from a different spot, but same proximity, they are coming from a different Direction like someone’s throwing you a ball if that makes sense. Again they stopped momentarily and then a few more come from a different angle…They all had the same color of yellowish/orange and they had “tails” like falling stars but definitely not a long trail and they were Definitely Not Stars, They kinda looked like flares but they were not flares either.Planes and Definitely Not The ISS!!! I did a search online online and it said on that date that we would be able to see the space station in our sky at 5 AM …THIS WAS NOT THE SPACE STATION these lights were going basically to the same location, but the way they were coming in at different angles, time and their color has me reaching out for some Information and understanding.

From the time I first saw the lights I fathom to guess there had to been at least 10 or more single lights!!

I’ve never written a letter like this because I never seen anything like this before or since. I don’t know what it is I saw. I just know what it wasn’t. I would appreciate any help you can give me and thank you for your time.

We were looking at vehicles at Bob McCosh Chevrolet (1 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65203) and decided to leave. Turning around something caught our attention; it was a sphere, looking black/silver, flying north over the building. We got in our car and followed it around the back of the building. As with most of these sightings it went really fast but I was able to get two pictures. Just shows a little dot. But it’s unidentified. (There are a few birds in pic but it is not a bird.)

Large glowing oval shaped object surrounded by a fog moving from west heading towards east about 1/2 mile up with sweeping light beams

4 of us were outside in a field working on a car battery, when my friend said look up, there was object that was glowing over its entire structure, unlike aircraft with blinking colored lights. The object oddly shaped like a tear drop or a rounded corner almost square rectangle, not like an airplane with a fuselage or a helicopter, that is much longer than it is wide.

The brightly glowing object seemed to be surrounded by a fog twice as big object and the fog was moving with glowing object as beams of white light seemed to swinging back and forth in front and to the sides of the fog like headlights of a train in a foggy area. The fog also seemed to be slightly glowing.

There was engine or any other noise coming from the object

I see passenger airplanes over head heading east a couple times a day and
small fixed wing airplanes and helicopters coming and going to the airport 2 miles away, this object was nothing like that.

The area is full of trees, its part of a watershed so its hilly, the light looked as though the brightest part was on the ground. I'm guessing it was about 500 feet from my house. My first thought was that a neighbor had gotten a mercury vapor light, sometimes they are orange. Watched the light for awhile seemed to brighten and then dim, I decided that I must be seeing a car on the road on the ridge. The next night husband drove over the road with his emergency flashers on and could not see any car lights. I look every night but so far have not seen it again...so far. (Picture: Light was just to the right of the closest large tree and about 500 feet away and appeared just below horizon line.)

At approximately 9:30CST on 8/7/23, my son and I observed a relatively low-flying orange light. a few weeks ago we all were outside and seen the lights in a cigar shape and lasted for a few seconds, our 1st thought was meteor or debris and we decided to install some cameras and point to the sky. on the night of may 3rd it started to rain a little bit and i was getting out of my chair i seen the lights through my window and noticed it was picked up by my camera. i also had someone do a filter on the video and got the following. there are no lights on the outside of our house and we see planes all the time but this was no plane. it was closer than planes fly. also on another matter for about 10 years now i have been having the same dream every 3 to 4 months and it never fails but i remember more each time i wake up. im in a field under an object that beams a blue light and i start running and end up near a farm that has a brown el camino sitting outside an old barn with people there , but before i can reach them i end up back in the field with the same object and blue light, and i wake up!

Black thing and saucer observed in the morning sky, video taken

2:45 am. The witness first saw something in the sky with his roommate an hour before he took a video (the second time he saw it). Both of them tried to justify what it might have been, but couldn't identify it as any animal or thing they had seen before. The object was dark, almost blending into the sky and was very difficult to tell its distance from them or size in comparison to them. The first time, they chalked it up to just being odd, but still felt uneasy about its movements. An hour later, the main witness went back outside to the patio of his apartment to watch the lunar eclipse/ red moon and saw the object in the sky again, but closer, which freaked him out. He ran to the door of his building and started taking a video of the black/dark thing and watched as a saucer-like object hovered, and then effortlessly moved across the sky, without visible evidence of any device allowing it to do so. Orange fireball looking spheres in the sky spotted for the 3rd time over a period of 6 months.

The objects I have seen are orange in color and circular. About 5 times the size of a normal star. Much lower than the stars in the sky though. They seem to be like a glowing orange orb and they dart around but stay in the same area. This makes the 3rd time I have seen these objects. All from the same location and spread out by a few months over time but all look the same. First time it was one object to the south and high up but over trees, it stayed stationary and then just kinda of burned out, so I wrote it off as maybe a lantern. Second time there was two together, to my East and they we’re definitely high enough to not be a lantern but still way lower than the stars. Same glowing orange circle as before, one of them seemed to dart around some but not moving far away from the other. One faded out and then about 10 seconds later the second did the same. The third was 3 together, same objects but this time to my north and in a wide open view. There were no! other planes in the sky to really gauge this. Quickly after I spotted them one seemed to move around some and then burned out. Then the second one about 20 seconds later, and then finally after about a minute the 3rd did the same, but this time where the second one was it lit back up and then quickly faded out again. The third did the same. I mentioned there were no planes in the sky close by but just after they all faded out an aircraft with normal red and blinking light like most planes travelled straight toward where they were at This plane was traveling much faster than any that I’ve ever seen flying through the night sky.

White light briefly seen around Orion's belt

I was looking up at the night sky on a clear night, around 9PM, March 12. I was staring at Orion's belt. Between the stars "Meissa" and "Betelgeuse" I saw a bright white light. I would say it quickly appeared like within 1 second, but it was not instantaneous. It was a constant white light that did not flicker or distort in any way, and was about twice the size of the nearby stars. It then moved between those 2 stars from right to left (west to east) within 2.5-3 seconds and then faded out as quickly as it had appeared. It had no trail or anything typical of a "shooting star."

I have 4 different videos of the event. Total, 4 minutes of video. My wife, and I, spotted 6 fire balls in the sky. Three of the fire balls were in a triangle formation. The other three were scattered in front of the three that were shapped as in triangle formation. Absolutely no noise from any of the fire balls. They kept flying towards us in the sky then they just disappeared. Fifteen seconds later two more appeared. Then disappeared. Ten seconds later two more appeared. Then disappeared. Seconds later, above the clouds there was a series of white flashes in the sky. Almost would remind you of a lighting storm in the distance, but it was not a lighting storm happening no where in this area. I have video.

Hovering band of light

I was at truck stop just off I-80 in New Jersey. I woke up around 2:30 ish in the morning and went to use the bathroom in the truck stop. As I work for my truck to the bathrooms I noticed a band of light in the sky appearing to hover. I could fully see the band. If appear to hover for about 2 seconds and then move off in what exact direction I don't know at an incredible speed.

Blinking white lights looked like rotating object in the night sky; moved oddly and then stayed it the same place 5-10 minutes.

Above the horizon level to the moon I could only see a row of white lights blinking in succession; the way the lights were blinking it looked like object rotating, but there was no way to know for sure.

In the parking lot of Walmart in Columbia, looking south towards the 1/2 moon and Jupiter, I was in my car and watching the lights flash oddly. About the size of regular stars. Lived in this area 50 years so I know what helicopters, planes, and such look like taking off from BWI, National, Dulles etc but this was very different. \

It moved to the right, then down slowly, and seemed to zig zag and flash intermittently. Then it stayed still for several minutes while it kept spinning (or blinking lights in quick succession in a row). I was going to go home but instead got out of the car and watched it. The lights did not recede while it stood still for 5-10 minutes at least (same size).

Then it very slowly started to move straight downward in the sky. I checked! my cell phone to see what it could be; when I looked back it was gone. I wanted to show someone else, but that Walmart parking lot is iffy and I wouldn't talk to anyone else there in the dark.

UFO with opend bay doors on the bottom of it.

I was outside on my back porch at 2300 hours looking at the moon with my telescope. There was some overcast around the moon. It was clear over the rest of the sky. I sat down to wait for the clouds to move from around the moon. I saw a bright light coming out of the southwest toward my house. There were lights flashing. No noise. I would venture to say it was about 5000 ft up and coming down toward my house. It is turning to a more direct east path and crossed right over my head. I was filming it and taking pics of it with my cell phone. The main craft was elongated rectangle with no wings. It had bright lights at the front and back of it. There were little orbs of light flying around it. The large craft opend up bays doors on the bottom of the craft. It was a very bright light coming out of the bay area but, I could see pipes and structures, beams of light flying around inside of it too. As it passed by me I at first it looked like tail lights on the back of it but, I realized it was different colored orbs floating on the back of the craft. It was not going to fast about 50 or 60 Mile an hour is my guess.

Dogs were being weird and staring outside. When leaving, saw bright white light in the shape of a triangle in the same direction the dogs were facing. It didn't appear to be moving and was shortly covered by dark storm cloud.

Massive Triangle in skies above Columbia, SC

A massive triangle shaped object moved slowly across the night sky at what appeared to be 7500 feet in altitude. There was no jet engine sound. Red blinking lights were in synchronized and equidistant in distance. Total area of object at a guess would have been around the size of a city block. The weather was clear and Venus was clearly visible. Object was flying NE to SW.

Large bright green ball with red tail crossed west to east in very high up in pre-dawn above residential area for 5-6 seconds.

Near the end of my pre-dawn walk, I saw high in the sky a bright green ball with a diminishing sparkly red tail move west to east and disappear behind silhouetted large trees. The sight was astonishing!

I quickly moved across the road to follow it, but I lost it. This happened just before sunup while the sky was not bright yet.

I have never seen this and at first tried to consider a plane, but the green ball was too large and planes do not have "red tails." The tail was not very long, but was definitely in a "pennant" configuration. Comet?

Metallic saucer floating and slightly shaking

I was outside playing in my backyard and the sun was setting but it wasn't completely dark. When I opened my gate to go to my front yard. About 100-150 feet was a saucer shaped object. It was a metallic color and the hull of the craft looked a light different color. The craft also had a cap on top of it. It was standing still and was shaking a little bit. There was no sound and for about 2 minutes it stood there still. I was in shock and I didn't even pull out my phone to record it because I couldn't believe my eyes. There was a circle at the bottom of the craft that looked like it would lite up. Then it tilted to the side and that's when I saw a part of the top of the craft. Then it went upwards and diagonal west insanely fast. That's when I knew that it wasn't an airplane because it seemed like it broke through the sky because it disappeared so fast.

The aircraft looked about to be a little under 20 feet long and about 10-15 feet tall. Metallic color and had three square things at the bottom of the craft. Everything was metallic silver/metal color. The top of the craft had this metal cap too. In between the three bottom square objects was a medium size circle, about 5 feet in diameter. It looked like it would light up but it wasn't. It looked like a white light that went out with a metallic hue over it.

5:30 p.m. I was walking my dog when I felt the shadow of my head and looked up and this brown rock shaped like a baked potato with hieroglyphic markings on it I had no time to react before I was in a white wash and going up into the aircraft inside I don't recall seeing anyone alien but there were two people already in there a black female and an older white male who looked terrified I was placed on a table structure and surgery was performed on my left cheek and scrotum area 2 hours later approximately 7:30 I was placed back on the ground near where I was abducted I ran back to my home and my father was outside with my dog and he said that I had been gone for 2 hours and that my dog ran home by himself this is a late reporting because I did not know how to tell anyone but tomorrow I'm going to have my face x-rated where they perform the surgery to find out exactly what happened because for the past year I have had pain in my left cheek.

sky was clear enough I could see stars and even 2 planes higher in the sky.. I also saw a hawk or owl fly by moments before so I had a good reference point of looking.. I was at a school tossing Frisbee with my dog.. then very faint at first I see this triangle or more like v over head like 200-300 feet in the air.. it almost had no lights or faint lights on the 2 parts of the v at first I was like am I seeing something what is that.. I watched it for a good 20 more seconds pass straigt over the school it was very fast and made no noise.. but my eyes could clearly see this triangle v shapped object zoom over my head again I could see two planes at this time higher in the sky and saw a bird clearly visable .. this object was faint almost like a ghost but was clearly there as I watched it pass over.. I cant explain it was earie feeling.

Hurling grey white cylinder object in the skies over Missouri.

It was early morning time, I got a phone call, I walked out on the back patio, I had been out for about 5 minutes. I just happen to look up because I heard a weird noise in the sky, sounded like it was behind me, so when I looked up, I seen what appeared to be a light grey white cylinder object just hurling along up in the sky, it was pretty far.

Then it appeared to go straight into what was a white light, upon doing so, the white light or other craft, turned red like an incoming signal.

It was really awesome and weird at the same time, I've never seen nothing like that before in my life. Not sure what it was but it was definitely not from any technology I've ever seen.

We were sitting in front of Noodles and Company at Trimble and Conley Roads enjoying an ice cream when I noticed something very low in the sky approaching us from the south. I got my phone out and took three pictures through the open window. What had originally called my attention to the sky turned out to be a helicopter although we were close enough to hear sound we heard none. (A friend has a software program to analyze photos and could see, with about 90% certainty, that the original object was a helicopter.) But above the traffic light standard there appeared another object. This one was a square. It had no heat signature, wings or rotors. I don't believe I actually saw it with my eyes, but discovered it on the pictures. This is the second time we have seen objects flying over this area. (See my two reports on NUFORC dated 4/20/2017.)

Two small white lights very high in the sky moving in unison.

At approximately 9:03 am, I was outside checking something on the side of our house near the roof. As I was looking up, something in the sky caught my eye. I noticed two small white lights very high in the sky. One was directly above the other and they were moving in unison. I didn't hear any noise or see any trails behind them.

After maybe 10 or 15 seconds they suddenly disappeared. I thought maybe they went behind clouds (although it wasn't very cloudy.) I never saw them re-emerge. I was thinking maybe they were airplanes flying very high in the sky? I told my son about it this afternoon and he encouraged me to write in because he didn't think planes would fly that high in the sky (and so close together).

He also thinks I should have heard some sort of noise and that I should have seen a trail if they were airplanes. There was definitely no sound and there were no trails left behind.

I was in my yard, bored, running around doing cartwheels, when I noticed the first blinking of a light. At first, I thought it might have been a helicopter because it was simply hovering in the sky. Then it began to get lower and you could see more flashing purple lights spread across this ship. It began to take form as it got closer and closer to the ground when it was close enough to the ground to be able to tell the size of the ship which the equivalency of a medium above ground swimming pool was, another ship began to come into view. It seemed almost as if the ship closer to the ground noticed the higher ship because it swiftly took off into the sky. With the second ship following afterward.

Very bright white ball of light, followed by a helicopter.

I'm not sure if this was actually a UFO sighting, when we all first saw it we assumed it was a shooting star. After a couple minutes went by I was thinking about other shooting stars I have seen and thought this looked a bit different.

The closest I can describe it as is being a very bright white, like an LED light, with a slight tint of blue. It was almost shooting out sparks along the outside of the circle kind of like a giant sparkler. Behind the light were bits of a dull red, similar to a bit of smoldering ash. I felt like it was diving down instead of going straight across the sky like you would see with a shooting star.

About 10 minutes later me and my wife left. I was talking to her a little bit about it and she had similar thoughts about what we saw. While we were discussing this we heard a helicopter in the sky that sounded like it was heading in the direction that this light was traveling. We were unable to see it. We were out in the suburbs and far from any kind of airport. The fact that we heard a helicopter, in the same area, seemed weird and; made me think that we saw something other that just a shooting star.

I was watching Perseid meteor shower, when I noticed random flashes of light that appeared to be far off. Then I noticed 3 small objects pulsing and moving slowly towards the moonrise. The objects re positioned themselves several times.

Then in the area of the random flashes, I saw a solid orange small orb emit a beam towards one of the pulsing objects.

I watched the small orbs moving very slowly for over an hour, until i went inside for the night.

Part 2: Still wondering what we had just seen go down by Hinkson Creek, but driven by the need for ice cream, we continued to Andy’s and queued up at the drive-up window. It had only been about 5 minutes since the first observation. I was looking west; the sun was setting, when I saw a quickly moving object traveling from the northwest to the southeast. It appeared silverish and spherical. It was either quite high or very small. Then I saw another object which seemed to be trying to overtake the first one, and another one and another one, 6 in all, following the first one. Of course my first thought was helicopters but we did not hear any kind of mechanical sound. It finally occurred to me to use my cell phone and try to get a picture. All I got was small dots, but they are there. The time was 8:07. Interestingly a helicopter did fly over to Boone Hospital and it was easily seen and heard of course! it was landing.

As an addendum to this report, a friend, who lives in Salem, Missouri, “was entering Columbia on 63 Hwy and saw a white glowing object between 500 and 1000 feet in altitude going over the Femme Bonne Creek. Estimated speed was 40 mph. This was on April 6, 2017. It was traveling south.”

Part 1: The first observation was a little before 8PM on 4/20/2017. My husband, who was driving, and I, were traveling east on East Broadway. We were between Broadway Bluffs and Trimble when I noticed something very low in the sky in front of the car. It appeared pale blue in color, almost sky color, about the size of a pea at arm’s length, maybe slightly larger. It was on the passenger side of the car, so I had a good view of it, it seemed to be spherical. I did not see any appendages, it appeared very smooth. We stopped at the light at Trimble to make a left turn which gave me time to watch it. (My husband watched in the rearview mirror. He confirms my observations.) At this point I’m thinking it must be a balloon. It stayed at about the same height and distance from the road as it flew west over Green Valley Drive. It was approaching a tall stand of trees at Hinkson Creek when it paused in midair and rapidly descended diagonally out of sight. Ok, not a balloon. Maybe it was a drone? About 35 minutes later we went to the area where we had seen it go down; very secluded for being in a city. Hinkson Creek is at the end of Green Valley Drive, which turns south and becomes Moon Valley Road. Open fields and trees.

Large object (Larger than a C130), Unbelievable Speeds, Bright White light that shifts into different color lights, No Sound

At about 2400 hours, I witnessed a bright white light hovering over a house in my neighborhood. I was sitting on my front porch listening to music, and since I like to listen to aircraft passing, I decided to pull my headphones off. The strange thing was that there was no sound. This light was hovering over that house for about a minute or so. The light was very bright, but oddly enough, not so bright that I couldn't look directly at it. I'm located in the Columbia area, and I could tell that I was facing north when looking at this object.

That bright white light shut off. What replaced that bright white light was a green and red light pattern. It's difficult to explain, but the lights appeared to be one and the same, and yet separate at the same time. This craft still didn't move and I could tell because it didn't appear to be getting bigger or smaller. I couldn't make out the exact shape of the craft, but I could tell it was big. It was like looking into the dark to see a blurry figure and you can't tell the exact shape but you can tell how big or small it was. This thing was huge. I'd say it was the size of a C-130.

About 20 seconds after the bright white light changed to the green and red light combination it shot off to the East at a speed that was ridiculous. This was weird because it went from a stand still, to shooting off at such a fast speed. There was no build up to the speed. That kind of maneuver seems ridiculous because that has to be technology I've never seen before that allows an aircraft to go from a stand still hovering position to speeds I haven't seen fighter jets match. It didn't make sense how fast this thing was, and yet there was still no sound.

I couldn't believe what I saw so I stood up and looked around for neighbors. I spotted one such neighbor who happened to be an Air Force veteran and we talked a lot because I'm an Army veteran. I asked him if he saw anything weird. He told me that for several nights he saw the same thing. He too said there was no sound to this aircraft he was witnessing. He said it didn't seem like a drone because drones don't move like what he saw and he thought it was weird he never heard any sounds coming from this object.

I decided to call Shaw Air Force base. I got in contact with the command post. They said they didn't fly anything over my area. They got me in contact with McIntyre Air National Guard base. They said it could have been an Apache helicopter with "whistle mode" engaged. Now I'm no expert on Apache helicopters, but I have ridden in one before, and I've seen the so called "whistle mode" in action. That doesn't eliminate all sound nor does it explain the speed I saw. Even the person I was speaking with couldn't explain why this thing was so unbelievably fast.

I'm not sure what I saw. I don't know what I saw. I just know that I'm a combat veteran who was deployed to Kandahar Air Field (KAF) and I've seen all sorts of aircraft. I've never seen anything like this before. That speed, the way the lights were so weird, the fact I heard nothing and the fact that the outline of this thing looked a heck of a lot bigger than an Apache is something I cannot explain.

Object moved very slowly with flashes/beams of light irregular in frequency emitting from it.

At approximately 21:15 pm central standard time in Columbia, MO, my spouse and I were on our back deck looking towards the south while smoking. I noticed a strange flash of white light towards the southwest part of the sky and began watching for it again. It flashed again around 10 seconds later but flashed in an irregular way now in a blue and red beam of movement like a very slow motion trail. It continued to flash mostly either faint or extremely bright flashes of white light with no pattern or rhythm of flashing, and once in a blue moon it had the flash of blue and red again similar to a meteorite breaking up in the atmosphere but in a more controlled way. It inched slowly across the sky from west to east in a horizontal direction until disappearing behind the trees.

It moved much too slow to be an airplane, satellite, or the ISS. It was clearly in the sky and not out in space, and guessing roughly it was probably 5-10,000 feet off the ground; perhaps a 1/2 a mile to a mile from our location. In about 15-20 minutes it had moved so slowly that it only covered about 10 feet of the sky from our point of view. Any passenger or military plane or helicopters I've seen here would cover that distance in under 20 seconds. The B-2s fly out here quite often too with Whiteman AFB being so close. Definitely wasn't that and didn't sound like the B-2. This object had no sound whatsoever.

Orange orb-shaped light arcing across the sky towards horizon at high speed

I am a 17-year old male, currently done with high school, and am employed. I am on two medications, ((deleted)) and ((deleted)), which are used to treat ((deleted)). These medications have not caused hallucinations during the 2+ years I have been taking them. This is my first sighting of something like this, although I've read very much about UFOs and seen many photos and videos of strange objects in the sky, but no videos I've seen match exactly what I saw.

Very early this morning (Oct. 31 2016) I was sitting at my desk, which faces a window, while watching videos on my laptop. Sitting at my desk and looking up, the sky takes up about 40% of my window, with my neighbor's house and yard toward the left side of the window taking up the other 60%.

At about 12:25 AM (00:25), a sudden moving light in the sky caused me to be distracted from what I was doing and tilt my head to get a better view of the light, adding about 10% more of the sky to my view.

The light was an orb/circle shape and was moving very fast, much faster than any plane I've seen in person, including military jets (at high altitudes). It was bright orange in color. The orb was, from my perspective, about the size of a quarter. I can't accurately estimate the altitude because the sky was dark at the time of the sighting.

The orb flew into my view from the area of the sky to the right of my house and seemed to curve in a flattened, inverted U shape, like a ball being thrown, while moving away towards the horizon.

The light disappeared after about 1 second of flight from where I saw it; it could have been in flight longer but I can't be sure because I only saw it once it came into my view of the sky.

After 3 hours, I have seen no other lights.

Saw two bright white lights in the sky completely still

I was driving to school, and on my way to the gas station, I saw 2 craft. It was completely clear accept for some small clouds (blue skies pretty much).

These white lights were very bright and white, too much for an airplane, and it was completely still; I saw no chassis to a plane in the clear sky, i walked out of the gas station and saw that it had disappeared. so i'm guessing this phenomenon was a possible sighting and I think that's pretty cool.

I am currently sitting in a parking lot in Columbia, SC, and I just witnessed a type of aircraft extremely unusual in size and pattern of flight. It had a green figure of eight lights as if it had parpellars with LITTLE TO NO SOUND. Visibility was bad due to light pollution.

My mom called me out from where I was inside the house, telling me to come quick. She said that my dad had seen something before it went into the trees around 11:24AM. He'd gone back into to get some binoculars, while my mom and I were left to find what he had seen in the sky.

When my eyes came upon it, it appeared in intervals between blue sky and the craft, it seemed to flash. At the time of day it seemed impossible for there to be flashing lights on an object near to the height of the day. The object seemed to give off a coppery, or bronze, appearance from our distance; it flew at the altitude ofor maybe a mile or a mile and a half. Upon being handed the binoculars to see it better, it hardly seemed to help, but I managed to clarify the view.

The object was round, I claimed it had an odd light-bulb shape, as it seemed bigger on top than the bottom. My dad claimed it some It also seemed to "flash" or reflect in the sunlight, though it only kept in a straight line; moving from North West to South West. It remained its coppery, or bronze, color through the time we saw it until our view was obscured by trees.

We went inside and as i looked at my phone to look at what i recorded well my phone said recording but i had no video but i know it was a aircraft and nothing i know of our military having matchs this craft as a army vet i was not sure of ufos but i know now. Teardrop shaped object (green base and trailing white light) drops from the night sky near Columbia Maryland.

While returning from an evening out in Frederick, Maryland; at 2:06 AM, traveling on MD 32 East between Exit 18 and Exit 17, directly in our line of sight about 2-4 miles ahead of our vehicle. We saw a single large teardrop object that was luminous green at the base and white light trailing it. It seemed to drop out of the sky and disappear as it would have hit the ground. There was no secondary flash or sound associated with this event.

MD 32 South turns to the right from where we saw the object drop and we looked at the area to see if there was any activity in the area, there was none. There was no other traffic in the area when we saw the event.

BRIGHT light, east-facing, above I-20W

Traveling west-bound on I-20, between mile markers 30-40. Coming across the hill, a bright, white, light shown horizontally from a spherical object several hundred feet above the tree line and about a hundred feet behind a cell tower (I think it's a cell tower) that had a blinking red light. The light was BRIGHT--several times brighter than oncoming headlights.

As I drove closer and under the object, the light was less bright which meant to me it was pointing horizontally, eastward toward Columbia. I didn't see any propellers or blinking side lights, which I looked for carefully. On the back of the object, there was a dim red light circle, but it was dim and barely visible. The best I can describe it is like a ring of LEDs being around a spare tire on a jeep--except the lights seemed continuous and dim. Because this was after sunset, I tried to locate a pole or suspension wires for the object (although there aren't any other objects at that height). It didn't! move, and appeared to be perfectly still.

Extremely fast bullet shaped craft moving E-W no sound. Veteran observer.

First off I have never reported a unidentified object. I am 51 and been in aviation all my life. Pilot both fixed wing/heli. 35+ yrs in rc aircraft and quadcopters for the last 10. Bottom line is I have seen most every type of aircraft, civilian, military and remote controlled craft.

Object was moving extremely fast E to W. The refection of the sun is what got my attention. Sky conditions are severe clear,bright sun. Object appeared shiny and possible pointed in the front. Overall the classic bullet shape. No wings or tail seen. Size and altitude are hard to judge but my estimate is either it was 5 thousand agl and the size of a fighter or fl 300 and airline sized. The speed either way was very fast. No sound. None. Had it been a fighter at that speed it would be Mach 1 + easily. Tracked E- W until going out of view. Hard to judge distance but best est is less than 5 miles away. Again its alt and distance depends apon the size of the craft, which I cannot verify.

I was driving home from work when I noticed a light in the sky. It looked kind of round in shape and was a solid light. It appeared to not be moving at all and that is when I grabbed my cell phone and began recording. It is really hard for me to remember exactly how everything occurred because I was really in shock at what I was seeing. After I started recording I believe the craft started moving in one direction. I tried keeping my phone on it while driving and right as it was going to be completely out of my view it shot straight up in the air and was gone. The craziest part of the whole thing is after I got home and watched the video multi times I noticed more lights really high in the sky that I had not noticed when I was driving. I have the video and am willing to submit it.

A private plane entered the airspace after the lights had faded away. The engine could be easily heard.

The sky and the entire neighborhood lit up brighter than the daytime at 9:53PM in Columbia, MO, in Sunrise Estates

I was outside in the backyard smoking a cigarette under the deck, and suddenly the entire yard and sky lit up brighter than the daytime for 3 whole seconds, so I ran out from under the deck to look up into the sky to see what caused the brightness, and I saw a very long, thick contrail in the sky not more than 100 feet above ground level that did not dissipate within the time that I watched it. The contrail was slightly curving back and forth but not very much at all, meaning it was moderately straight-traveling. The object that caused it was only visible for the millisecond before it disappeared, but it appeared to be on fire.

I freaked out and ran inside immediately. The light was so bright that I thought the planet was either exploding or that we were being taken by the light into Heaven. It was INTENSE!!!

My friend also told me just now on Facebook that he saw the same thing in Joplin, MO.

4 lights in square formation in Columbia, TN

At approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2015, my daughter and I were driving south on Hwy 43 towards Columbia, TN, when we saw 4 bright lights in the sky on the driver’s side of the car. They were approximately 50 feet in the air.

At first we thought they were lighting up a haunted attraction for Halloween, but after looking a bit longer, we noticed there were points of more concentrated lights at each corner, so the light source was coming from above, not the ground. They maintained a square shape, and looked like 4 lights, but occasionally a light would travel from one corner to another in a random fashion, so there may have been as many as 8 lights total.

They were ahead of us at first on the left, but as we approached the main intersection of Hwy 43 with Hwy 31 the lights were keeping pace with us. My daughter snapped a couple of photos with her phone.

We crossed the intersection and the lights were still pacing us, as they continued to do for se! veral more miles.

Then I looked back over and they were not there. We were relieved, but a few minutes later they were slightly ahead of us, kept pace for at least 5 more miles, then disappeared.

A white streak, like a crack in the sky. 2 separate black lines, then melts away.

A streak of light made a crack in the evening sky as my wife and I sat on the porch enjoying the warm fall night. We both looked at each other in awe.

She mentioned Chem trail in sarcasm and says, "At least we are on the right side," as a black line appears on the bottom side of the white line.

I ask her, "Why do you think that?" She tells me that it looked as if the cloud was elevating up, and then another black line appeared on top of the white.

These lines were appearing fairly low in the southern sky, just above the tree lines over Columbia. Suddenly the black line on the bottom began to melt or droop.

This was very eerie.

I went inside to get my phone to use the camera on it, but as I'm inside, my wife hollers to me. When I go back outside she says it's gone. I look up and there is no trace of it. There were some jet trail clouds (2-3) going in the opposite direction. They looked nothing like what we had just witnessed.

It was like the sky had cracked opened, then bled out and healed itself in just mere minutes. Weird!!!

Two bright lights, bigger than Venus, to left side of Cassiopeia, in eastern sky.

The two bright lights were side by side about a degree and a half apart. They were too bright to be part of the constellation Cassiopeia which was rising in the eastern sky. I'm an amateur astronomer and noticed them as out of the ordinary.

They were motionless and after about 45 second's they just faded out at the same rate. Brighter than Venus and a bit larger in size. They were on the left side of the constellation. The time was between 20:30 and 21:00 hrs.

saucer shape with red, yellow, green lights like lights on a ferris wheel at the stat fair

To: National UFO Reporting Center Subject: Reporting UFO sighting last 4 days

I have observed a saucer shaped UFO sitting in the same basic spot for three ot of the last four days. Last night the cloud cover kept me from observing it. The UFO is very high in the sky, I would guess about 4000 to 5000 feet, I am judging that distance because a commercial airline flew fairly close to the UFO and it was about half the distance I altitude than the UFO. I do not have a camera to take a picture of it nor binoculars. However, I have a rifle with a 50x scope and I can see the UFO clearly. It must be very large disk, I would guess 100 to 200 feet in diameter.

The UFO just hovers in one spot. I have not seen it dart or move around any at all. Through my scope I can see it continually bobble like a ship in the high seas. It is very colorful like the rides at the state fair. Red, green, yellow lights are flashing continuously.

I would very much like to find a local group of UFO watchers so that, I can contact them to send someone to my house with some recording equipment to take pictures or video.

The fireworks display in downtown Columbia, Mo. ended around 9:35PM and we started home over Stadium Blvd. Turning west on Broadway my husband, Greg, who was driving, and I noticed a bright red light in the western sky moving north toward Venus and Jupiter. We watched for a few seconds and it appeared to be an airplane so we lost interest. We then turned north onto Silvey Rd.. Silvey turns into a very steep hill before it reaches I-70 Drive SW. (http://tinyurl.com/p7qbuzc). When you are at the top of the descent, visually, you are almost directly across from the tops of the trees on the other side of I-70 Drive SW.

It was at this time we saw a large, fire engine red object, a little smaller than a dime at arm’s length, just above the tops of the trees. It appeared round, with a little “haze” circling the perimeter which could be attributable to the smoke from neighborhood firework displays. I lowered my window but did not hear any sound other than our car.

As we descended the! hill, the object was still visible but was somewhat obscured by the trees. My husband turned west onto I-70 Drive SW and we attempted to keep it in view but couldn’t. We crossed Sorrel’s Overpass (a road over Highway 70) and turned west onto I-70 Drive NW then north on Gibbs Rd. and then east hoping to get another view from a highpoint overlooking a forested area which was once a Christmas tree farm but we had lost it. This object appeared very close to us, between I-70Drive SW (38.966995, -92.389620) and W. Gibbs Rd. (38.973707, -92.389698) but that is purely a guess. (Use Google Maps for coordinates.) In retrospect I wonder if the light we originally saw while driving over Broadway was really a plane.

Soundless Oval fireball - first still, then moving rapidly over Southeast Columbia, SC.

On the night of June 20, around 9:40pm, I was walking home with my son when I believe I witnessed a UFO.

As we were walking, I saw what appeared to be an oval fireball to the east. It appeared to be very close but I did not hear any sound. It also did not appear to be moving.

After 5-10 seconds of looking at it, I pulled out my phone to make a video. After a few seconds of video with my son and I walking toward the object, it appeared to move away at a rapid speed. The video ends when the object disappears under the tree line.

I was leaving Columbia South Carolina and heading I 77 up to Charlotte. When I notice the surrounding of my car was lit up in a really bright white light I could see the real clearly and also the green grass on the sides. As I leave my head forward to see what was up, I saw a small cigar shaped object zoom out as well as a second bigger cigar object following it. The frst one fade away into the darkness as the second one lit up even more with a blue light trial around the white light and then disappear.

UFO bright like the North Star no doubt about what I saw.

Sitting on my back deck, I look at the stars and aircraft from the airport every night. I've seen satellites and shooting stars on occasion but tonight I noticed something that I could not make out.

It was lower than any plane from the airport would fly near the city and had no flashing lights no sound. It was so bright it was like the North Star.

It was gliding and begin to gain speed at a high rate. And suddenly, it started going vertical and went straight up into space until the light faded.

It was so clear it was unbelievable what I saw next. It came back down barely in sight and took off towards the east. The sky was clear no clouds.

I've been in the military for over 17 years and I can say without a doubt that this was not from Earth.

On Sunday, April 19th, 2015, my wife and I were taking a walk at the College Park and Ridgemont intersection walking the trail towards Twin Lakes. I stopped to take some pictures of the clouds and the sunset.  

As I was taking a picture, I noticed a yellow circular shape moving through the trees. I was taking a panoramic picture as it was moving and then it abruptly stopped, seemingly  to hover in the trees.  

I continued to take the panoramic picture, and as I was getting ready to stop the photo, I saw through my screen display, the object shoot through the trees, and then shooting into the sky. I photographed the circular object hovering in the trees, as well as it entering the clouds in one panoramic photo. z object did not leave any type of vapor trail that I could see, it moved so fast that I was able to catch it in one short panoramic photo. Both as it hovered, as well as it in the clouds.

The object had tree branches in front of it, and it blocked seeing tree branches behind it. Also, the object is also seen with part of the cloud in front of it, and it's blotting out the dark clouds behind it.

I cannot really determine the size of the object, may be six to eight feet in diameter. It was A bright yellow or white in color, it seemed like it was flashing. I tried to duplicate the same picture, but there were no objects in following pictures taken. This helped me conclude that this was not a dirty lens on my camera or a raindrop.

As an ex professional photographer, I know that it was not a camera flare, especially with a non smart phone and in a car with tinted windows. The object was on the left side of the road hovering in a rainbow then went over the road to the rain cloud and that's when I got the picture of it.

Driving west on Highway 70, saw two unidentifiable objects in sky.

Driving west over Highway 70. I just got a "smartphone" and had never used the camera so I decided to take a pic through the windshield...just goofing around. I did not see the objects before taking the pic, but that doesn't mean they weren't visible, I just wasn't looking. I saw them after I took the first pic and then took several more pictures. I thought I was just recording dirt on the windshield but additional pics did not show the same marks. The objects were traveling north. I can not estimate size, speed or distance.

About 22:35, March 21, 2015, Columbia, MO, white to a very light color, no lights, rectangular like a ruler with 45 degree ends.

Friend and I were standing in the parking lot, basically facing north. I tend to look up at the sky often at night. But we were talking.

All of a sudden I noticed something almost white looking in the sky heading NNW. My first thought was geese. I have seen them fly over parking lots at night and they look very interesting in the night sky.

So, I listened to hear them, but noticed something odd. The shape was a rectangle, about the shape of a ruler in the sky laying flat, but the ends had about a 45 degree angle at each end.

A few seconds in this, I then pointed and just as I did, he saw it too. And we described the same, object to each other. It glided silently in the same direction and then we lost sight of it within 15 seconds or so. It was not terribly high in he air. Maybe a couple hundred feet in the air. I almost look the length of a bus in the sky. But not very wide.

I keep trying to convince myself it was a flock of geese. But I have saw a definite shape and my friend did too. We are very curious what that could have been?

Four circles of light spottwd in the sky creating a 1 and 1/4 rotation before converging on a central point.

Tonight at around 9:30 my mother called for me on the porch, she stated that there were some "strange lights". Naturally I went out and there in the sky was 4 circles of light. They seemed to very carefully and precisely make a 1 and 1/4 loop before converging into a single mass at their center. This behaviour continued for an hour or so before they just vanished. At first we assumed that it had been spotlights but after investigation found no evidence of an origin for the lights on the ground.

Even more shockingly after this incident I sent my footage to a friend who lives about 6 miles from me. He in turn went outside and recorded the exact same light pattern I had. Neither of us could figure out what was causing this as no origin could be seen coming from the ground.

Both me and my friend are juniors in high-school. I myself am color-blind to a degree. I have never been one to jump to calling something a UFO but what I saw tonight was not normal at all.

Bright star looking light moving erratically. Small movements but quite noticeable. Up down sideways zigzag. Some movements bigger than others. Verified by multiple neighbors asked to "come look the sky".

Looking west from NE Columbia. Started high in the sky within 15 min it has sunk much lower. It is ongoing. Moving to much to be a star, not enough for a helicopter. However, the brightness can be compared to looking at a helicopter search light head on a few miles away.

I was sitting in traffic on 295 on my way to Hickory Ridge Road in Columbia, Maryland. While sitting in traffic, I noticed three specs in the sky at first I could not tell that they were crafts you could tell that they were high out in the atmosphere because they were moving very slow two we're going downwards parallel with one trailing behind I looked to my right and I saw three more scattered but headed in the same direction as the three that I had just seen I looked up and I saw two more and I thought how can I be the only one seeing this. The did not leave a trail but you could see fumes/exhaust coming from the back of the craft. I would describe them as appearing to be bulled shaped. As traffic moved they went out of my view. I also saw a plane fly by and wished I could be a passenger to get a closer look.

I noticed 4-5 orb-like anomalies moving in formation across the evening sky.

I approach everything with skepticism. I'll be the first to call most "sightings" a big pile of bologna. But this report, is entirely accurate. This report, I saw with my own eyes.

Let me get started by explaining the "sighting" in its entirety. It was just before sunset, I was facing east looking toward a tree line. Out of my peripheral vision I noticed 4-5 orange glowing "orbs" in the cloud line. They seemed to be moving in some type of formation, appearing and reappearing at will. They "danced" around in what I would describe as a figure eight like motion for the majority of the time I was able to see them.

One of the "orbs" shot across the entire sky until no longer visible, followed by the remaining anomalies at an alarming rate of speed. They were there, and then they were just gone. No sound, no reflection , no nothing, just gone.

Ok, so no big deal right? Unless I were to take you back to my childhood, in which I saw the exact same type of anomaly, but not yet old enough to understand the difference. I would not have even thought to much about it, had it not been for a Youtube.com video I recently viewed, depicting the exact same experience I have mentioned here.

Extremely shiny silver football shaped flying object shows up as only a partial outline in a photo I took of it.

Today, Tues. Oct. 21, 2014 at about 3:49PM Central Time I was in a conservation are I believed is owned/operated by the University of Missouri name Turkey Farm Lake with my dog. I had my camera and took photos along the path leading up to the lake.

When I entered the actual lake area I saw a couple of dead looking branches and was attempting to focus on them without getting any colored leaves in the frame. When I looked up I saw an object in the sky. I said out loud, “What the f*ck is that?!”.

The object was not a plane, nor a helicopter, blimp, etc… It was not extremely high in the sky. I would say maybe a couple football fields’ lengths from me. I was shaped like a semi-deflated football, actually, and silver in color and extremely shiny. I did not notice a sound and it was moving slowly horizontally.

I immediately aimed my camera and took a photo. I then realized the branches were still in the frame, and because they were so close to me, that the object it’s self would not be in focus. I then looked to the sky, saw the object moving away from me and stepped forward trying to get a better shot… As I looked through my viewfinder I could not spot the object so I removed the camera from my eye, looking to the sky and the object was gone.

About a minute after spinning myself in circles trying to figure out where this object moved to and feeling totally confused about what I just witnessed I opened the clock on my phone and took a screenshot to document the date and time. It was 3:51 PM.

After I returned home and transferred my photos to my computer I saw something totally unexpected in the one photo I got of the object. Instead of an out-of-focus silver football shaped flying vehicle I knew should be in the photo I saw a partial outline. It is a dark shadowy outline, boomerang-shaped, representing only the leading end of the object, probably about ¼ the size of what I saw with my eyes. This is shocking because the object was fully visible to me even after I took that initial shot, however in the photo it appears to be almost completely transparent.

So far I have only told this to my mother and father… I attempted to call your hotline about half an hour ago, around 8:25 PM and I left a message because no one answered.
