Massive fireball shot across the sky from the northwest to southeast. It had 2 smoke tails, and as a lifelong night sky observer, it was the largest sighting I've ever seen.

The fireball was a bold burning orange/red.

Another witness had seen one similar at the same place 3 nights earlier.

Amber colored bell shape object that hovered for minutes, then disappeared.

We seen the object while driving down the road it was a bell shape and amber in color in hovered in one spot for about one to two mins then it was gone.

One round orange sphere 5-6' around w/ bright circular glowing bottom center cruisin thru 20 mph, 100 ' tops of trees

One round orange sphere about the size of a large beach ball with bright circular glowing bottom center-like structure. Kept a steady but slow pace approximately 100 feet above the trees moving at approximately 20 m.p.h in a southeast direction.

Very clear night in a very rural area, planes and other flying objects were very easy to distinguish. It made no noises or sounds.

Hovering bright sphere with red lights over Adamsville, AL

I had opened my back door to let my dogs out and a few seconds after I stepped out onto the porch, I noticed a bright light in the shape of a sphere hovering through the trees. At first I thought nothing of it, dismissing it as a bright star, but I noticed as I moved on the porch, where tree limbs in the distance covered it up, it would suddenly not be so hidden by the trees. I purposely moved several times to where the tree limbs covered the light, only to see it a second later. This went on for about two minutes until the object stopped hovering and began moving toward the city of Birmingham. It moved slightly faster than I’ve seen planes fly, but not so fast as you often hear of UFOs ‘speeding out of sight’. I waited for the light to emerge through trees that were blocking my view, and when I finally saw it again about a minute later, I noticed a few red lights moving in a circular direction, like circling the earth. These red lights were not visible when the sphere was hovering. I lost sight of it after that. I am not a UFO skeptic, but I have never witnessed a UFO, nor sought really to ever see one. I see planes all the time in my area, the airport isn’t very far, but I’ve never noticed a light just hovering, and I was really surprised and even somewhat spooked that it seemed to emerge when I was purposely trying to ‘not see it’ by attempting to obstruct it from my vision with the tree limbs. I’m not sure if it was even a UFO, it just seemed like a very strange occurrence to me and I’ve never seen an aircraft do that before.

Evening sighting, one spherical object, two witnesses.

A UFO was sighted from the coordinates 33.59/-86.92 on the evening of June 9, 2008 8:36 pm CST in the southeastern sky, at a near distance, approximately 40 degrees above the horizon line.

At first the object appeared to be an ordinary much like a planet or star in the night sky. The spherical object was clearly visible and if estimating the size based on distance would have appeared to be the size of a quarter.

The object began to move slowly south, doubled in size, and a golden constant glow began to intensify around the object. The object did not have flashing lights like other aircraft. At first the object’s movement can be characterized as a slow pendulum swinging from side to side. The circumference of golden light appeared to increase and decrease much like a pupil of one’s eye. Finally from a static position the object began to quickly move due east into the distance retracting immediately into a small pin point of bright light and then disappeared completely.

The event lasted for approximately two minutes. Note: The weather was clear with good visibility; thunderstorms were developing with lighting present 30 miles southeast of the sighting location.

5 identicle slow moving large disks took 20 minutes to drift across sky

i observed 5 objects flying very slowly across the sky. at first i believed them to be airplains with very short vaper trails. then realized that explination didn't make sence because a plane would move faster then that and create a longer vapor trail with no dispursement of vapor. they seemed to be flying in a pattern, all going the same way, however the pattern seemed to wide for normal airplain pattern. Objects were to far apart. Also, if there were 5 planes in the air that close there should have been some noise, there was no sound. Late afternoon, clear sky, watched for 15 to 25 minutes.

5 shiney objects first resembled airplanes with short trails, all 5 identicle in size, shape, tail, altitude and distance apart. Spread accross full view of horizon moving very slow, no noise noticed, towards a large purple cloud on horizon. Objects reamind first spotted while driving. Seen first 2 objects first for 10 miles (give or take) along state route 93 comming from Otsego towards Adamsville. Pulled over roadside to take pictures, at this time we observed 5 objects definatly and watched for another 10/15 minutes. Ojects were still on horizon almost out of sight when we returned to vehicle and headed on towards our home. Camera was in hand from taking photos at a nearby real estate property. Showed pictures to family within minutes of arrival home.

formation of 5 disk like moving very slowly , spread across horizon moving towards same location

5 shiny objects first resembled airplanes with short trails, all 5 identical in size, shape, tail, altitude and distance apart. Spread across full view of horizon moving very slow, no noise noticed, towards a large purple cloud on horizon. Objects first spotted while driving.

Seen first 2 objects for approx. 10 miles before realizing the slowness as odd along state route 93 coming from Otsego towards Adamsville Ohio. Pulled over roadside to take pictures, at this time we observed 5 clearly visible objects possible 6th. Watched for another 10/15 minutes. Objects were still on horizon almost out of sight when we returned to vehicle and headed on.

Examined photos this evening and seen very odd crazy looking sphere in front of sun that we did not notice by eye. Those photos were taken approx. 25 miles north and about an hour before. Pictures were to just be of a pretty sky. We thought it was a blemish in photo, examination of 2 photos taken at a 45 degree angle from one another show symmetrical sphere and the reflection of it is visible in the water.

Twin spheres of light Porter Road near Shady Grove, Adamsville, AL

I had left my brother’s house but wasn’t ready to go straight home, so I decided to take a ride before going home. I went through the Shady Grove area and turned onto Porter Road. I had probably gone about a mile or so when I saw what appeared to be bright car headlights on a hill in the distance.

As I kept moving down the road in that direction the pair of lights starting rising straight up from the ground into the sky. I stopped the car trying to figure out what it was. The lights stayed together until they were about airplane height then burst apart in opposite directions moving faster than anything I’d ever seen.

I turned around in the middle of the road and went home with the hair on the back of my neck standing up. Felt like I was being watched for several days after.

Telephoned Report:

Mother, daughter, friend witness huge, lighted ball streak overhead. "Turned whole sky blue." Flew N to S. Size of full moon. Sighting lasted only 5-10 seconds. One of many reports to NUFORC on this time and date.

Multiple reports of apparently the same object over Ontario, Canada, which was photographed by a television news team east of Windsor. Very dramatic event.

We spoke with the daughter via telephone, and she sounded very credible to us. She reported that the event was quite dramatic. Moreover, as it passed overhead, the group of witnesses hear a sudden, muted sound, which the witnessed characterized as sounding like "B-I-N-G." PD
