White light briefly hovered above tree line, flashed, and then silently slingshotted into the night sky at an incredible rate of speed

I dropped a friend off from indoor soccer practice at his apartment complex at Village Green in Budd Lake, NJ, around 9-10 pm in the winter or early spring of 2010-11 on a week night (I was a senior in high school at the time). I was at the intersection between the apartment complex, on Village Way, and Route 46 at a red light across from what used to be the Cherokee Trading Post. There were few cars on the road at the time and there was no one else at the intersection when I got there. Across the street, behind the Trading Post and above the dense tree line behind it, a white light rose up above the trees and hovered there silently for about 5-10 seconds. I couldn’t tell how big it was from that distance but it didn’t appear overly large. I was looking at it, trying to figure out what it was, when it flashed suddenly (briefly lighting up the surrounding area like a lightning flash), and shot into the sky at an incredible rate of speed (I’ve never seen anything move that fast). The light dipped down a bit before shooting up, as with a slingshot. There was no sound the entire time and the whole experience lasted probably less than 10-15 seconds. Years later, I saw a video of the UFO over Jerusalem, which is exactly what it looked like, and I show this video to people when I explain my story.

Large red colored sphere, larger than any plane, larger than any star was noticed descending onto the horizon.

Large red colored sphere descending on the horizon at approx 9:30 pm. Much larger than any plane lights. Appeared to fall into the back pasture, but nothing was there. Then approx. 2-3 minutes later when traveling in the car another large sphere was observed, again descending on the horizon. This sphere was a lighter color yellowish-orange. Both spheres disappearing onto the horizon. Weirdest thing I've ever seen in the sky.

Circular object with flashing lights, whirring sounds, and flashes of multicolored lights

We were driving and noticed a circular object with flashing lights just below the moon. It was about the size of the moon which was almost full.

We pulled over at a church parking lot and it was gone. However, we noticed several flashes of multicolor light and a whirring sound. As we looked in the sky we noticed an unusual amount of airplane activity in all points of sight. The planes were much smaller than the object we had seen only moments before.

A large disk shaped craft hovered across a farm field tree top level.

My friend and I were in the middle of a field sitting on a wooden cable spool when a large disk shape craft silently hovered over us about 300 ft AGL it was about fifty yards in diameter with bright blue lights and a white glowing dome on the bottom. It slowly crossed the field coming from north to south until out of sight by the trees , we both ran south towards our home when we ran into to other people who saw it also they claimed it came as far as the mt olive Baptist Church then shot off above kern drive and then shot north into the sky at incredible speed.
