Helicopter was on pursuit of large glowing orb and potentially disk shaped glowing objects

I was taking my dog outside to pee and I noticed a bright light coming in my direction with a flashing beacon offset from the bright light which I thought was a helicopter with a spot light carrying cargo beneath the bright light. However what I thought was the helicopter spotlight then mis aligned from the helicopter rapidly, and took a sharp turn. At first I then thought the bright orb was just an airplane, but I noticed the helicopter behind it was at the same altitude (I confidently confirm it was a helicopter chasing said objects because I could hear the rotors, and I could see the beacons flashing off the helicopter) and because I could now see the helicopter chasing the large glowing orb from a side angle, I noticed a smaller light in front of the orb in perfect sync with the large glowing orb. (neither the orb, nor the object in front of the orb made a sound, only the helicopter giving chase made noise) The helicopter continues to pursue the objects but suddenly, the large orb just disappeared into thin air with the smaller light heading in the same direction with the helicopter continuing to give chase.

VERY large orange/red light suddenly appears and disappears, against wind direction, low altitude, no ADS-B record

Just to preface, I'm an avid sky-watcher and have been skeptical of most claims. I've been working on a large custom Dobsonian for a year now, own other telescopes, and fly large gas-powered RC crafts. I've also been working on an ADS-B receiver, and have almost finished my own weather station to report to CWOP. I've put up Chinese lanterns as a teen before knowing how dangerous they were. That said, I had just got home and saw something resembling a satellite to the southeast a few degrees above horizon, but moving in strange directions. Very dim, small. Almost every night I look to the sky when I get home, there's low light pollution here and it's beautiful. Without warning a very large, creepy orange/red light turned on at low altitude (a couple degrees from horizon) just below where the dot was, again, southeast of my location, steadily moving either northeast, or higher in altitude and east. At that very moment I did two things- check flight data via Flightradar 24 and look at wind direction. No flights where this was (not that it even resembled typical craft- there were 2 kind of nearby but not going in the same direction and much higher) and the wind was from the north blowing south, so it could not have been something floating. I had eyes on all craft nearby enough to show on Flightradar. I'm not sure if it's the same object as the original dot, as the orange light honestly startled me and I lost track. After about a minute of watching, it suddenly left VERY quickly just as my wife came outside to see what I was looking at. Completely silent. Should probably be a separate report, but I'm 32 and I've NEVER seen anything anomalous until recently, and all of a sudden I've regularly seen lights here at 45-70° from horizon randomly turn on and pulse 3-5 times and disappear. It looks like someone in the sky with a flashlight using Morse code. I have no idea what any of these things are but it's honestly freaking me out a bit.

Circular flying items in air

I was driving down the street and saw a bunch of silver items flying in the air. I thought it was balloons at first but it started doing weird formational movements. So I stopped in a parking lot and started recording and observing them for a few minutes. After viewing my recording I also noticed these little darker blue static orb balls in the video.

A long tube with no flashing indicator lights. The back 25% was a steady blue/white light that didn't pulsate.

This was the biggest craft I have ever seen. It had no wings or propulsion. It was a long cylinder with no indicator lights. The only light coming off was a blueish white light that didn't flicker or anything. It didn't make any noise but it covered a lot of distance pretty fast. It was nothing I have ever seen before.

Saw a blinking light as I was driving, the light was not moving in any direction, just stationary in one spot in the sky . I then zoomed 30x in with my phone camera and saw two white circles blinking steadily, blinks about 1 second apart. To the naked eye, it looked like one single blinking light. This was not a plane, not a radio tower, and too far away and high in the sky to be a drone. I drove by again 20 minutes later, and the lights were gone.

We were waiting for the moon to rise watching the stars and then saw a fireball in the sky heading south east at a constant speed never slowing down or speeding up. It was seeming to cool gradually getting dimmer until it disappeared into the dark sky. Could see planes as we are close to the airport but they were at a lower altitude. Have seen this pattern multiple times.

Came outside to smoke a cigar and saw a bright fire ball travelling south at a constant speed and then slowing down and then dim!

I've seen these fireballs in June of this year and before in May of 2020! They usually come in twos one behind the other. My first time seeing them was in June of 2016! They are so hot coming in at a cruising speed and then as they descend into the atmosphere they start to cool and turn dark orange and keep cruising til u can't see them in the night sky. I saw one going East in June and tonight this one was going south.! Why are they here? What are they doing? One thing is I've seen em enough to start believing! The first couple of times I was in doubt. And I know they have to see them! As I write them it just came back and flashed me and my brother as I was telling him!

Orange sphere shaped with halo of light around it

Sighting Description: round, orange glow, floating or gliding, object appeared to have a halo of light around it. It moved fairly slow at first and had absolutely no sound at all to it. We watched for approximately 60 seconds maybe a little more. At first the object seemed to move as if it was getting closer and then it seemed move a little further away. Suddenly it appeared to shift up and vanished into thin air no trace at all. I attempt to take a video of it but had a difficult time keeping it in the view of my camera. Object appeared to have light all the way around it. It didn’t seem very high at first and continued to climb. we were on a bike trail in the woods it was very dark. I understand it was the 4th of July but this without a doubt NOT a firework. Weather conditions: Dark, good clear weather, stars visible, no clouds, dry and humid.

Bright moon like shape seem hovering in the clearing in trees behind my home that would fade and reappear.

I noticed a bright white light through my blinds where the trees are thick behind my home. It was above the large cleared area in the trees. It is typically very dark there. I looked through my blinds and saw a light through the trees. It was an almost sphere like shape at times shining very bright and seemed to be hovering in one spot, but movement was noticeable as it hovered. I could hear a low humming sound. At times the light would appear to have a beam and other times it would fade and dissapear. When the light reappeared it would become very bright. It looked similar to a near full moon hovering lower than the tree tops, but it was not the moon.

The light was getting bigger and bigger when we realized we were getting closer to this object which it wasn't moving. Very fast object traveling just above low stratus clouds.

I was driving south bound on 46th street off CR 358 for approx 1/4 of a mile. A white light in the sky traveling east caught my attention as it passed over the road ahead of me at a very high rate of speed. I could not see the shape as it was just above a blanket of stratus clouds. The clouds were relatively low. It was very dark and I could easily see the bright white light illuminating through the clouds as it shot through and off into the distance. It traveled in a straight line and I was able to witness it until it was no longer visible. It took no more than a couple of seconds (approx. 2 sec.) to cross the sky until out of view. I heard no sound though I was in a vehicle. No radio on. Seemed much too fast to be a commercial plane, crop duster-type aircraft or a drone.

Shining object released from plane?

I was watching planes fly overhead this morning when I noticed one plane in particular flying lower than the others and much faster with a thick white contrail/chemtrail behind it.

It began to change course, curving to the right. Mid-curve it appeared as if some shining object was either released from it or appeared from above it and slowly moved to the left, sometimes wavering slightly to the right and then back again to the left. It then slowly floated up, disappearing into a cloud. I tried to look up any similar phenomena but can't find any reports like it.

Saw an orange moving glow in the sky, and then disappeared.

Standing on the porch amd looked up in the sky and first thought was a star but was orange, then noticed the object was moving and moving toward us and became closer and larger as it moved in our direction (southeast) and then just disappeared.

We did not hear any noise but should have because it appeared to be low enough.

I was awakened in middle of the night by a brilliant yellow/white orb-like light that was beaming on me. I had been asleep, facing the wall - away from the window. The bright light appeared inside the bay window in our 4th floor condo bedroom. Sat up and turned to look at the huge orb. It made no sound and disappeared within seconds.

Four Illusive grayish transparent lights bouncing in patterns around each other.

As I walked outside around 7:47 (PM), I saw my neighbors pointing at the sky above my house. There were four lights in the sky. They didn’t have form or a craft shape. It certainly was not flares or lanterns. The lights bounced back and forth meeting each other in the center than bounced back away from each other at times they moved in a semi circle went back away and bounced to the center almost meeting each other. They stayed the same distance in the sky the duration, about the height of a landing airplane. I am so happy there were other witness’s! I don’t have a video camera I tried FaceTime to my daughter to see if she could also verify seeing them but she couldn’t see it through my I Phone camera. I kept wondering if it was some sort of spotlight or human device but I could not trace anything from the ground that appeared to be shining light towards the sky or any light source. I continued to go outside to see if it stopped, the event happened for over an hour stopping around 8:56 PM.

At times, the lights would slightly separate and turn into two lights each but there was no pattern or count to it. Because only two would separate at a time and turn into two lights then back to one and bounce again towards the center- at times slightly traveling in a circle turning back and then bouncing in the center but the pattern was random. I did not feel fear; more mesmerized wondering what it was.

The most irritating thing about it was to have no way to record it. Moreover, my Nikon doesn’t have a night vision. I am familiar with astronomy, aircrafts, satellites, etc it was nothing I could explain. I actually worried it could be orbs that are spotted before an earthquake or something.

I think many would term it ghosts, because it was not a bright light it was more cloudy (transparent) grayish looking. The circles of light were not perfect in shape were round but not exact in size in relation to one another.

I continue to try to find a logical explanation for the lights, I cannot find one. I watched the sky last night September 26, 2014 to see if it happened again (they didn’t come back last night), and will continue to watch nightly to see if it comes back. I drew diagrams of how the mystery lights traveled but am sad to report I don’t have a picture or video to prove it. I DID take notes on the event in my journal. Strange orangish lights in sky, Alabama...

About twenty minutes before the sun goes down, I noticed two very bring objects which are a bright orange, sometimes changing to a darker less bright orange.

Then, as a aircraft flew through the sky two lights were seen... The orange things seem to move together , and then sometimes they move separately. And the sun went down and I took a moment to look up again, I see the two brightest objects are more of a a red color.

I keep seeing these strange red an orange lights in this area, local need had no unrest in this however.

I am trying to find someone in my area who knows Moore about astronomy.

Has been happening almost every night for several months, multiple orange glowing and or flashing orb like lights, few-ground: most-sky

I am usually not one to believe in the paranormal, or aliens, or UFO type things. I also am not usually a star gazer. However, after seeing two orange, glowing, floating, very close by, orb-like lights; I am convinced that SOMETHING is not right in the Alabama night sky! I don't understand how people are dismissing ALMOST ALL of the many reports of these strange lights as Chinese lanterns, planes, jets, etc.

What I seen that first night, about four months ago has led me to pay alot more attention to the sky at night especially. What I have seen EVERY SINGLE NIGHT with the exception of four or five nights (too cloudy to see anything in the sky) has me quite frankly terrified. I believe there is a huge problem with this rash of strange lights, and why are so many people seeing this stuff, and it's not in the media, it's like all being dismissed to the point I wonder about government cover up, but then again, maybe most really believe the dismisal explanations are true.

What I have seen EVERY NIGHT, and you can come to Decatur Alabama as well, any night, and see also, cannot possibly be lanterns, you cannot convince me that peoples' lanterns are going in unison type lines together, flashing colors at each other (most the time it's orange fire looking colored, but also suddenly flashing to red, white, green, or blue) it often looks as if whatever they are the lights are trying to communicate... But you also can't convince me that they are planes, seeing how what I am seeing tends to NOT travel much, or else it travels so fast you will miss it if you blink. These lights seem to me to be in almost the same general areas of the sky every night. They seem to me to also be "trying" to blend in with star formations like the dippers, and even blending with rooftops and trees as someone else said on the NUFORC pages.

I am not the only one at my home who has seen the lights above Decatur, my adult nephew has seen them, and like me, he can't figure out what the lights are.

My niece and I both seen multiple of these glowing orb like lights land behind the backyard fence, in our neighbor's out back yard, late one night, some were not completely landed, as they were simply floating around fence level, some were just above the roofs of houses close by out back.

Another house, that same night, had what apeared to be a huge, floating fireball just barely above their roof. My niece and I came inside as things got too weird watching the lights outside, so we went upstairs, leaving the house lights off, and watched out the window for several minutes, as the fireball looking one floated in one spot, and the orange orb ones on the ground in the neighbor's yard outback, moved ever so slow, then sudden, then slow, and as the other orange orb looking ones that were floating at what looked like fence! level just sort of would rise and sink, rise and sink.... Trust me I know how this all sounds, I wouldn't be posting this if I didn't feel very strongly that these lights are BAD NEWS, if they were nothing of concern why wouldn't or couldn't we all just know what is going on, why wouldn't these lights (which are showing up literally all over the world) be on the news, or something.

The lights that stay in the sky at night, the ones that seem to "try" to blend in with the trees and rooftop areas, they are the ones that flash different colors. Sometimes they seem to stay orange, other times they flash red, blue, white, and I am pretty sure they every now and then flash green. These lights seem as if they communicate.

Once again, I was never a star gazer, and I don't want to post on a website exactly what: however, I did something I should not have done, and have been scared to go outside and smoke a cigarette at night since.

Again, I know how this must sound, I am the last person who I would have expected to now be questioning UFO exisistance, but since NOBODY definatively knows or will say what these lights are for sure, then that factually makes them UNIDENTIFIED, flying lights and or objects.

I was walking down the street, at night, wearing noise canceling headphones. From the corner of my eye, I saw what looked like multiple airplanes in the sky. I then looked towards them and saw three lights in the shape of a triangle, spinning counterclockwise. I took out my headphones expecting to hear a noise like airplanes or something but heard nothing. I couldn't make out whether or not it was one object or three separate objects but, they were all in sync, hovering. There were no cars on the road. I was the only person in sight. So, instinctively, I ran back home as fast as I possibly could. I looked back a second time before i made it down the stairs to my complex to see if i was really seeing this and I saw the middle of the object start to light up as if it were getting ready to move. It looked like something in a movie. I told my mom what i had saw and she told me to stay inside. I wanted to go back outside to see if it was still there but, she said not to.

12 orange balls of light fly over Atlanta.

On February 8th going into the 9th, sometime around midnight, I witnessed 12 orange lights in a string formation moving SW coming from the NE of Atlanta in the night sky. They were headed toward ATL Int'l airport right into the flight pattern, but lower than the usual airliner, and so I thought they were probably a group of military C-130s. Problem is, they made absolutely NO sound and traveled at an estimated speed of 400-500mph.

I am a former Air Force aircraft mechanic and aviation enthusiast, and know all forms of man made aircraft very well. Either what I saw was classified military aircraft, or something otherworldly. And so far my attempts to contact anyone at ATL's ATC for information, has failed. They keep giving me more phone numbers to call.

I only checked NUFORC's site because after I told my brother about the event, he recommended I take a look at the similar reports. I was shocked to find so many, and am now convinced I saw something unidentified.

Gray stationary object seen over Tucker area.

I saw a dark circular object in the sky over the Tucker, Georgia area as I was waiting to turn onto I-285 in the morning on my way to work (at exactly 7:11 am, still dark out). I was at the traffic light facing north and noticed the object which appeared to be a great enough distance above the tree line to make me wonder what exactly it was as it did not appear to be a tower, billboard, planet, etc.? The object was stationary and almost looked like the silhouette of a really tiny planet but obviously within a few miles of my position and not in outer space, at least as far as I could tell.

I snapped a couple photo’s with my iphone before the light changed with the thought that I’d relook at the area at another time when it was lighter out and compare my photographs. I retook the photo this morning (10-23-12) when the sun had started coming up (7:23 am). I definitely could not see anything in my second photo that could have been the object in my first photo (btw, I am going to try and attach the photos to this word document).

In true “UFO Photo” fashion, the picture is grainy and the object looks far off. For all I know this was some planet or something else obvious. Either way, I found it interesting and wanted to share.

Did anyone else in the Tucker/Decatur area see this thing? The object I am referring to is the small dark gray circular object in between the two green lights just above where I put an arrow. The other spots are just reflections on my windshield and stars. And no, this was not a spot on my window. I bothered to stick my head outside my window just to double check.

Next day photo. I didn’t see anything that could have been the dark circular object.

The object is/was beneath Orion's Belt more toward the horizon. It seems to shine between reds, whites, and blues, dare I say some shifts of light directly at my location. I want to say it's a planet, but I've been watching this thing weave back and forth and descending. I won't claim it's anything unworldly and maybe being so close to the horizon the light had some drift causing this effect, but it was and is definitely new to me as an novice star gazer of over a decade...

Very bright glowing object in the sky, then vanishes.

At 5:50 central time, looked out the patio door to see a bright (big) glowing object in the Southwest direction of my home. It was very bright, so I asked my husband to bring up his star chart on his phone, to see what star it was. I went outside and angled the phone to the sky and there was not a star on it that showed that it should have been there. Surprised by this, I went back inside and grabbed my video camera. I took a few minutes of film of it olny, because my battery was going dead, but within 15 min. it was gone. Just vanished! It was a clear night, but very cold.

I reported a sighting about a month ago, and this one looked just like the other one, but not seadly moving and without the helicoper present.

object was just a spherical very bright white light with no other blinking lights

Yellowish-Orange Light moved several different directions, turned red and in a flash was gone.

My Uncle, his girlfriends kids, and I were out in the middle of the parking just in front of his appartment. We were shooting off fireworks, and all of the sudden one of the youger kids had said hey look over there. So we looked and it was this yellowish-orange light kind of just sitting there. I thought at first maybe its just a firework, but then it started coming towards us. I looked over to my uncle and said what is that. I remember saying hey maybe it's a helicopter or a plane, but it was flying way to high to be a helicopter and it had no blinking lights so it couldn't be a plane. All of the sudden it turned to our right started moving for a few feet (relative to us). Then it was like it turned around turned red and hit light speed, and in a split second it was gone just like that.

Strange, small star-like lights moving in erratic patterns alternating in speeds.

On the nights of September 14th and 15th and 16th (tonight), 2007 I have noticed strange lights in the sky over the city of Atlanta. I am not sure whether they were ufo’s or not, but I can’t think of any other explanation for what they might be.

There were 5-6 of the objects. They were small and resembled very dim stars so I believe they were very high in the sky. They fluctuated intensity in their brightness as they moved in very erratic patterns. They would seem to drift for a moment or two, then all of the sudden they would fade and take off in a totally different direction at many times an accelerated speed and then slow down again. They were not moving in unison.

This activity went on for hours until I had to go to bed. This is not the first occasion that I have witnessed this same phenomenon. The first time was in 2005, For several weeks following Hurricane Katrina. On these occasions my roommate at the time witnessed them with me. This year, however, she was not with me and this is the first time I have seen them since. I would like to submit a photo, but unfortunately I do not have a good camera so the objects were too small/far away to capture.

I don’t know if anyone else has reported these or not, but I would like to know whether what I saw were in fact ufo’s or not.

UFO hovering just feet above a neighboring house.

My daughter and her two friends were walking down a side road and spotted a disk shaped object over a house they were walking by. They explained that the disk shaped object was spinning around and was tilted slightly at an angle above this house. The object did not make any noise. My daughter told me that they kept walking and pretty soon, because of the trees they were unable to see it anymore and got scared and ran home. The object was low enough to the house that the trees as they passed by covered it up.

5 Lights seen in sky by Atlanta Georgia, flew like a "school of fish"

I was on a date with my girlfreind, and we were walking back to her car. We were talking then she suddenly stopped, and told me to look at the sky because she saw somthing strange. What we saw were 5 lights flying through the sky very quickly and in strange patterns. The pattern is hard to describe, they would would speed up to very high speed and slow down very quickly. The outside four in the formation They weaved back and forth like a school of fish swiming in the water. My girlfreind described them as "space fish" The event lasted about 30 seconds then they faded away. Neither of us had a camera on us, so we were unable to capture any footage. But I remeber it clearly enough to recreate on a computer animation program of some sort.

I know alot about aircraft and these types of maneuvers are not possible by any kind of aircraft/projectile I know of.

Star like objects moving rapidly through night sky.

At appoximately 12 am I happened to look outside & saw what appeared to be a really bright star or planet in the horizon. I sat looking at it for a few minutes, only to notice that it was moving. I continued watching it, thinking that it might be a plane. As I was watching, it suddenly disappeared & reappeared much closer to the house. It was moving too fast to be a plane. So I went outside to see if I could get a better look. I then saw it disappear then reappear much farther away. It remained motionless at that point, then much to my disbelief more lights appeared until they were 5-7 of them. They remained motionless, somewhat lined up, approximately the height that planes fly. Then one would disappear & reappear farther away in a matter of seconds. I recall them changing colors, red, blue & yellow as well. Each of these lights continued to do this for approximately 15 minutes until they all vanished.

We live out in the country with only one yard light, so it was almost pitch black. These objects looked like stars, but moved. There were no blinking lights as one would expect on a plane, plus the speed at which they were traveling was much too fast for an airplane. I happened to ask my 16 year old son one day if he has noticed the lights to the West of us. He replied yes. He then described exactly what I saw plus he didn't think they could be planes either. I have seen these lights multiple times and so has my son. We don't live near any airports either.

Strange (Craft?) sights seen between Boyd and Decatur Texas.

I recieved a call from a neighbor about three miles down the road who told me to go outside and look in the sky. Looking to the left of the moon were two blue spots of light. Off and on about once a minute they would strobe white light. They stayed in place and never moved and never made a sound. While watching these two things my neighbor (Still on the phone) said look in the direction of Denton. I saw what looked to be a bright yellow dot of light. (maybe ten miles out) As we watched (Wife and myself in person, neighbor on phone) the light seemed to get closed and it looked almost flat. As we watched the light started to sway back and forth. It would then move maybe about half a mile out away from where it was sitting and then shoot back to where it first started. It did this over and over again for about 20 minutes. From there it then seemed to circle in one spot over and over again, it did this about ten times then sat still. From there is would shoot out like before and curve out back to where it started. (The other times it shot out before it would go in one line and shoot back in one line in what seemed like no stop) It then quit this after two runs and stayed in the same spot it first started. We then saw what appeared to be a 747 or other large aircraft some close to it headed to either DFW or Alliance and the thing went up and away from the object. When the aircraft left the area the thing went back to the same spot. The thing just stayed still with the odd movement off and on until about half an hour later when a small jet went into the area and the light just vanished. I have two other people that saw this other than me and we are willing to talk about it. I never have seen anything quite like this before. These things never made any sound. Where I live sound will travel for miles upon miles. The area is also blessed to not be under the glow of city lights. I have worked around aircraft as well and I know the way this thing was moving, was not like any natural manned craft. The moves would be too much for a pilot.

A friend of mine decided to spend the night at short notice. We were working on a project, when the wind began to blow very hard.

Though the news had just said there was a chance of a storm, I went outside to look around.

2 disk like objects hovered in the air (they were far off, but bigger than the stars), soon another joined, but didn't move slowly. It was more of a jerk; left, right, up, down. They followed each other for a while, and my friend and I watched.

We weren't sure what to think, seeing as neither of us believe in aliens and whatnot.

The lighted disks flew away in a triangular formation... leaving us stunned.

it was not a police helicopter and it was close and hovering about telephone pole height.

Approx 2 years ago, I was driving home in Decatur, GA. I saw what I thought was a helicopter hovering about 25-35 feet above the road.

I slowed down as it had a bright light shining. I thought it was a police helicopter searching for a suspect and given the proximity to the ground, I thought they had him cornered. It was so close it looked as if it were going to land, so I slowed more.

Not hearing any noise, I opened my window and noted that there was still no helicopter sound nor the strong gust of wind from the blades and there were no police cars around or sirens. Realizing that it was not a helicopter, I quickly sped up as I passed underneath while looking back (sideview and rearview mirrors) I traveled about 40 yards, and it was gone.

I then drove down and made a u-turn and looked back, nothing. I sped home, about 1/4 mile away and scanned the area, and nothing was there.

I got my son's telescope from inside (about 30 seconds to get) and came out and surveyed the area especially in the direction of the police station where the copter is kept. No helicopter, no lights, nothing.

ITS APPEARANCE: Since I was looking for it to be a helicopter, my description will not be that good. I noted it was large but cannot give dimensions but I could appreciate that it was blocking out more sky than it was supposed to be. It easily spanned 2 lanes and had height. I recall a bright light and seem to recall three, but at the time, I thought it was the police with a searchlight so I focused on 1 light and where it was shining. I only became suspicious after noting that neither it nor my surroundings were behaving consistent with a closely hovering helicopter and it was too big. No trees were blowing either. visibility was clear. No clouds. It was behaving as if someone was steering it. Were that not the case, it would have struck the tall trees or poles near it.

Unusual movement: Its movements were smooth and it moved side to side slightly.

BTW I drive that way daily and looked for anything else that c! ould explain it. I stand by my conclusion. That's it.

Me and my good friend saw something very unusual at the zoo.

About five hours ago My good friend I went out for a drive. We live in a small town and decided to go to the zoo it was closed because it was very late. but anyway while we were walking to the park we saw what we thought was an airplane at first sight and my friend my a remark about it looking odd. I did't think anything of it because I don't really take stuff like this that serius.so we starded walking again and we sat down and he said "man that thing is not a plain look at how big it is!" so I looked at it again and this time it was alot closer and lower. It was a trianguler shaped thing with Big red lights on the three corners that had a haze like glow to them. It was moving very slowly to the south east. I looked a little to the south and I saw what apeared to be another one following it I looked exactly the same but was moveing a little faster and in the same direction. The second Object then speed up and seamed to pass the first and went over the tree's and we could no longer see. about ten seconds later the first one speed up and was out of sight and thats all we saw of them we hurried to the car and drove in the direction in witch they went but we saw nothing. I have never saw anything fly so low to the ground and be this big it scared both of use. They seemed massive and made very small "sonar" sounding noises every so often. I don't Beleive in "UFO" but this didn't look like a human aircraft it was like nothing I have ever saw. I have made a drawing of it and will send it to you via e-mail.

Sparkling UFO sighted outside of Decatur Illinois on Friday, June 7th, 2002 @ 23:00

Travelling home on Interstate 72 (West) outside of Decatur, Illinois on Friday June 7th, 2002 at 23:00 hrs my wife spotted what appeared to be a plane about 10 degrees above the horizon. We were positioned at roughly mile marker 140. I looked at where she was pointing and witnessed what appeared to be a series of very fast strobing white lights. These lights repeated so fast that they appeared to be "sparkling". I tried to count the number of lights and made and estimate of 7 or 8. It was rather hard to determine a shape due to our motion and the motion of the object. However the lights did appear to be strobing in a linear fashion. We maintained eye contact with these lights for about 1 minute and then the "object" disappeared. My wife scanned the Westerly sky for another 1-2 minutes and reaquired the "object" a few degrees North of its original position. The "object" was now sitting closer to the horizon and my wife noticed that the strobing lights now looked to contain red's and blue's in addition to white. The object cut in and out a couple of times with one disappearance resulting in what my wife indicated to be a blue beam shooting from underneath the "object". We returned home and noticed that the "object" had circled a wide area ourside the West side of Decatur.

Bright white elongated light in western sky over Decatur Texas.

As observers were heading north out of Decatur on 287, object was noted 15 degrees above horizon, 15 degrees port. Object was white, bright, and would be covered by an aspirin tablet held at arms length. At first object appeared only slightly fuzzy, and shaped like an accent mark. It would become larger and fuzzier, as if moving in and out of focus. When fuzzier, appeared move oval and less long and slender. Length appeared to remain constant. If fat end was front, object was heading north. If fat end was arrow on clock hand, object was first observed to be pointing between 4 and 5, but attitude would vary between this attitude and pointing to just past 3:00. Object appeared to progress approximately 15 degrees toward north. Object appeared far away, like a jet or the space shuttle, but moving much more slowly relative to observers. Object's altitude varried within about 5 degrees. Motion was apparently sproadic. There was no reference object available near UFO; no clouds at all in Western or Northern sky. No high buildings, radio towers, etc. Observers lost sight of object behind a hill while on their journey.

brilliant object fell to earth in W/SW sky at a very steep angle. appeared similar to a meteor falling, but was far too large

the object fell from the sky with great velocity. i could not determine the range from the object. it burned a brilliant white and streaked as it fell in the west/southwestern sky. i could not determine whether it "burned out" or reached the ground, as my view was obstructed by apartment building. it looked very similar to a shooting star, but i did not think it was a meteor due to its size and proximity to the ground. i speculate that it may have been a very large meteor that fell further than i've ever witnessed, or could possibly have been a falling satellite. it did not exibit any craft-like characteristics. i'm just curious to know if anyone else viewed the same event.

I was in my van with my 2 children, headed east on West Main Street. In the eastern sky we saw a round, red object with smoke behind it. The object was dropping down. At first I thought it was an airpline on fire, crashing to the ground. Then it turned to the right (south) and travelled for several seconds and then vanished. As it turned the smoke became "squiggly". After the object vanished the smoke remained.

See summary above - do not have any additional information. Witnesses included a 42 year old woman who works in fundraising at a small, private university. The other two witnesses were the woman's two children; girl, age 11 and boy, age 5.

Driving east just before dawn the sky was cloudless. Suddenly a cloud appeared very dence about the size of a football field. it was at 11 o:clock to my position range was about 5 mile. I thought how strange only one small cloud in all this sky. As i drove i watched it evaporate, disapere. A few moments passed and suddenly it was back. It was now about 10 o:clock to my position and again it evaporated. It's position seemned to remain the same. Then it reapeared a third time very dense at first and now at 9 o:clock and only a half mile away. The temperature was about 29F. dry cold air no jet condedsate trails. Could a hot moist enviroment ben generated as a dementional or time craft or crafts stopped for a few seconds to get a bearing on where they were at ? I am making no clame. It's just something to think about.

It continued on straight path about 100' in air for about 8 seconds. then went straight up for about 2 seconds and out of sight.

It was like a rounded at he edge shaped triangular shaped object. It was about 30 feet long and a little wider. it was around 100' in the air. The weather was fair as far as I can remember. What caught my eye was that it wasn't moving fast like a plane while it was travling in a straight path but increased speed in a short time when it headed straight up. I was moving at the time getting ready to relocate in georgia. I was a minister and my wife is now a med/surgical director at our city's hospital and also teaches nursing in college. I have no doubt in what i saw. I was 30 years old at the time of the sighting and I will never forget it. I would also like to add that there were military craft flying in area several days before event and i not sure about after event. There was no military craft flying at the time of the sighting but military traffic was heavy days before. i

white lighted ball shape ufo hovering slowly above tree tops, no sound

I was in bed at the time and heard my brother yelling and was excited about something. I got out of bed and thats when he said there were strange lights in the sky. He said he looked out of the kitchen window and saw some triangle shaped object with 2 red lights ascending up towards it. So we got the binoculars and went outside. There was a farmers field behind our backyard with a bunch of trees on the other side of the field. Thats were we saw this pure white ball of light(roughly the size of two cars stacked on each other) which was moving slowly just above the tree tops. I tried looking at it through my binoculars but I couldnt keep my hands steady enough to make out any detail. We lost sight of it went behind a bunch of trees. That was all we saw that night. I dont remember what time of year it was but my guess is late summer. I do vividly remember looking at the clock and seeing 11:55 pm after we came back inside. Also I remember there was a big full moon which lighted the sky a bit.

During a raging snowstorm, I saw a dark object flying at about 5 MPH in the middle of the road between the trees, using a bright searchlight to nagigate. There was no noise. It was heading north & was probably heading towards the Clinton Nuclear Power Station, that had just been built. It was flying very low, just over the cars (which were many). It could NOT have been a helicopter or other conventional aircraft for several reasons. ONe fact was that the snowstorm was raging. The wind was blowing very, very hard, & each flake of snow would hit out windshield about the size of a 1/2 a dollar. No conventional aircraft could have been flying in that weather. Two, it had no wings or helecopter blades because they would have hit the trees that overhung the 4 lane street. It was using a very large, very bright searchlight. It had to be some kind of Carbon-arc light because of the brightness of the spot it prodiced on the pavement. It seemed to be using the light to nevigate. It was moving about 5 MPH at an altitude of approximately 15 feet above the pavement.

I was sitting at a red light. When the light changed to green, I continued driving (south) again & it flew right over out heads. & because I was in the center lane, I was unable to turn around right away to follow it. I finally was able to maneuver to the left lane & turn around 2 blocks later. By then it was gone. Illinois Power had just finished building a Nuclear Power station in Clinton. I figured that was where it was going, but there was no evidence to substantiate that. Because of the raging snowstorm, I gave up the chase.

Dates are approximate. I was working at ((deleted)) TV as a ((employee)) at the time. For fear of retaliation, I was reluctant to come forward openly, but I did share this with many of out friends. My wife (fience at the time) was with me at the time & was as suprised as I was at this event.

One disk landed on private property. Witnessed by two persons. The government did respond with a visit to childs grade school to question a youth involved. The visit by a ranking official to his class. The youth had apparently found the one man with the craft open while trail riding a mini-bike. The youth claims to have seen a circle cut in the grass as for a teepee with his freinds before the incident. The craft to have three landing stilts or legs opened from the under side was metalic or silver.

THE TRIANGULAR OBJECT WAS BIG AND WIDE AT CLOSE RANGE MOVING SLOWLY AND HOOVERING OVER THE AREA WE WERE IN.

WE (MY SISTER) WERE ON GLENWOOD AND COLUMBIA DRIVE WHEN WE SAW THIS TRIANGULAR SHAPE IN THE SKY MOVING SORT OF SLOW ACROSS THE SKY WHICH WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO SHOOT A BB GUN AND HIT IT. WE THOUGHT WE WERE IMAGINING SOMETHING WHICH WAS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE WE BOTH WERE DESCRIBING THE SAME THING. WE DROVE TO MY MOMS HOUSE WHERE WE BOTH LIVED AT THE TIME (SOUTH COLUMBIA PLACE BETWEEN MACAFEE AND GLENWOOD). WE GOT OUT OF THE CAR WENT IN TO GO ON THE BACK PORCH TO SEE WHAT WE COULD SEE, THE THING JUST HOOVERED OVER THE HOUSE AT A CLOSE RANGE. CLEARLY WE COULD SEE THAT IT WAS NOT AN AIRPLANE. IT START MOVING AWAY. WE BOTH GOT IN THE CAR AN DECIDED TO FOLLOW THEM. WE WENT SOUTH ON S COLUMBIA DRIVE TO MACAFEE HEADING TOWARDS COLUMBIA DRIVE TOWARDS SNAPFINGER RD AND IT STARTED MOVING OUT OF SIGHT. WE WERE FLABERGASTIC, IN AWE WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO SAY OR WHO TO REPORT IT TO. PEOPLE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT WE WERE MAKING THE WHOLE THING UP. I'M GLAD TO KNOW WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE AND PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT.

mid 1970's UFO over Decatur,Alabama

The summer of 1973 or 1974, my mother,brother and I were sitting outside on a hot summer evening; I was 15 or 16 years old. The sky was clear...

1 by one, bright neon colored round lights in different colors appeared overhead until they formed a HUGE circle formation; it stayed that way until a cloud covered it and it dissapeared,leaving the star filled sky.

we all oohed and ahhed; the radio announced within a half hour that they recieved over 250 calls about this. They said that the NASA center in Huntsville,Alabama stated it was weather baloons; years later, I saw the same type of 'event' in the movie CLOSE ENCOUNTERS.

I have not seen this event posted any place else! It was beautiful,and I'll always remember that moment when I saw my one and only UFO.

Round floated above me I couldn’t speak or move until it was gone

I was young. In the 70s we had to go to the laundromat with my mom. My sister, her friend and me went along to help. We were outside playing. I look to the sky and see this round object coming from the east floating toward us. I try to talk and ask my sister if she sees it but I can’t move. I can’t talk. I watch it go over head and go towards the west. There was a park behind the laundry parking area. I watched it fly out of site and disappeared in to the west. When I could talk I asked them if they saw that. They said they didn’t . Later in life I asked my sister if she saw it or saw me paralyzed not able to speak. She said she didn’t see it. The object was round and had lights . I could see the lights it was so close. I have never forgotten it and how I wasn’t able to get anyone else’s attention. I was frozen but the people I have asked if they saw me frozen they say no. I feel like they took me from the parking lot for a few seconds or mentally incapacitated me somehow.

strange light shivered across sky, stopped overhead, tried to land, stopped, and then took off out of sight in 2 seconds.

Summer 1967, Decatur Alabama Before I report the sighting, I need to explain why I know what I didn’t see. I didn't see an airplane or a comet.

1966, 1967, 1968: My buddy and I lived within walking distance of the river. Several times a week we would walk down to the river and sit on the dock and watch the skies and discuss girls, our band, and our future. Sometimes we would fish but usually we would lay on the pier and watch the skies as we talked. We began noticing the movement in the skies and starting jokingly calling them UFOs. After a few months, it was very easy to distinguish between single engine airplanes, commercial jets, high flying military jets, satellites, and of course the very fast moving meteors. We even began to start noticing the stars and their familiar patterns in the sky.

We began noticing lights in the sky that were almost definitely not planes or satellites or meteors and we started calling them UFOs (half joking and half serious). We would see an average of 2 or 3 UFOs on any given night. We then started watching the skies for about 3 or 4 hours a night just to look for UFOs. We didn’t know what these things were, but they were not planes…and since they were very high up in the air, we never saw the shape of these object. They were the size of the largest stars moving around in erratic patterns…but very, very fast. Faster than our military jets and faster than our satellites. Satellites move in a straight line and jets move basically in a straight line with some deviation in their course. But jets and satellites do not stop and hover or circle at 60,000 feet.

Sighting: My buddy and I had met a couple of girls and we were at their grandmothers house out in the country one night in the front yard. I was sitting on the front porch with my date and my buddy was sitting in the swing in the front yard with his date (4 of us total). The last thing on our minds that night was UFOs. My buddy yelled my name loudly and called for me to come and look at something. I wasn’t interested in him at the time and almost ignored him, but he wouldn’t shut up about it. So all four of us met in the front yard and looked up in the sky to the west. There was a fairly large light moving from west to east toward our position. This particular light did not move like any of the other UFOs that we had seen before. This light was a little bit larger than any of the other lights before and it was larger than any star in the sky that night. As it moved, it reminded me of pulling a fishing lure through water. It seemed to sort of vibrate through the air as it tra! veled in a straight line to almost overhead. We had been watching now for almost 30-45 seconds as this thing moved from the horizon to overhead at what we figured was about 20,000 to 50,000 feet. It moved extremely fast. Faster than a military jet or satellite but not as fast as a meteor. Then it stopped almost overhead. If we had walked down the road about a half mile, it would have been directly overhead…straight up. It hovered for about 3 to 5 seconds and then it began to circle overhead. It was not a perfect circle and it was not a complete circle. (Imagine a 3 year old trying to draw a circle on a paper with a crayon.) That best describes the path that it slowly flew above us. It seemed to be looking for something. The diameter of the “circle” was less than a quarter mile. Circling took about 10 to 15 seconds. Then it stopped again for about 3 seconds and started getting bigger and bigger. It was now about 5 times the size of the brightest star I have ever seen in the ! sky…almost the size of a street light. This thing was landing ! and it w as going to land in the field across the street about 200 or 300 yards away from us. All four of us began to run down toward that field to watch it land. All of sudden, something bit me and kept biting me. Something was in my way and I couldn’t move forward. I didn’t want to look down to see what was biting me because the UFO had just captured my total awareness. However, when I did look down to see what was “biting” my leg, I saw that I had run into an electric fence. So I was not going to get to catch up to everyone else and I decided to just watch the UFO from this vantage point. I watched this thing as it was coming down toward earth and it seemed to “panic” and stop descending at almost the exact time that I ran into the electric fence. The UFO was now low enough that we could have seen what it was if it was daylight…but it was still just a very, bright light in the sky. It stopped and hovered for about 5 seconds like it didn’t know what to do and then it went straight ! up and out of sight in less than 2 seconds. Totally silent. I have never seen anything move that fast before or since. I thought “we don’t have anything that can do that!” There was no sound of rockets or jet engines or any kind of smoke trail. My father worked on the Saturn 5 rocket booster and I was familiar with rockets and jet engines. This vehicle was strictly antigravity powered. Romance had now changed to UFO talk and we spent the rest of the evening looking for more UFOs. After that event, the girls never ridiculed our UFO stories. This event was within a year of the Falkville policeman who reported chasing an alien through the woods. Sadly, he was laughed out of the force. Falkville is 25 miles from Decatur. I figured that the NASA military base in Huntsville was the interest of all the UFOs we saw.

After graduation in 1969, I never got to spend time just watching the skies and I haven’t got to see anymore UFOs.
