Triangle formation of lights with other lights making passes through and around the formation

I was the Captain of an airline flight from Chicago to Des Moines. Shortly after takeoff, climbing through 18,000ft to 24,000ft we saw 3 white lights appearing and disappearing in a triangular formation at very long range, bearing 300 as we flew on a heading of 270.

There were other lights, sometimes orange in color, making passes East and West through and around the formation at a very high rate of speed, sometimes climbing and descending.

One extremely bright light appeared directly ahead of us at 24,000ft at what we estimated to be 25nm range, but it is difficult to determine as we have no idea of the size of the object. It then disappeared.

We also saw and reported the same lights last night from 400nm South of our position at 34,000ft last night.

The difference in angle above our line of sight from last night’s sighting would have us estimate with a fair degree of accuracy that the formation was about 400nm North of us.

We continued seeing them, with one being bright enough that it was easily observed at only 3000ft.

This was also witnessed by my First Officer, who I was with last night as well.

Light pulsating in the sky that started to fly around in the same spot doing circles in the sky

When my daughter(who was 4 years old at the time) and I got out of the car, I started to get the clothes out to take them inside the laundromat. My daughter yelled "look mommy a shooting star", and I looked up at the sky to see what she was talking about. Once I started looking at what she thought was a star, indeed it was shooting up like a shooting star, but then it just stopped moving and started having this green glow pulsating around it. I instantly took my phone out and started recording. I recorded for about 2-3mins, and during this time the object had changed colors, did circles in the sky, and it would go back and forth from a very bright light to a very dark spot in the sky. It even changed shapes while it was flying(circle object to a long rectangular object then back to a circle).

Unidentifiable Glowing Object

This was the first experience I’ve had seeing a UFO/UAP. I was hunting one afternoon in December of 2022 about an hour or 2 before sundown. I was in a tree stand looking down into a hardwood bottom. Behind me was wide open clear cut. I would occasionally turn my head to look behind me to see if anything was moving across the cutover. Right before 3:30PM, I turned my head and something immediately caught my eye in the sky. It was a circular, maybe oval, shaped object. It seemed to be glowing but I assumed it to be reflecting light from the sun due to it being a bright white/yellowish glow. As soon as I saw it I knew something was off. I immediately started trying to deduce things in my head on what it could be but could not come to a conclusion. This object was flying extremely low, too low for commercial aircraft. It was also moving slowly, also too slow for commercial aircraft in my opinion (considering it’s low altitude.) It did not have any wings, propellers, etc. It didn’t have any sound or navigation lights. It appeared from NW and was traveling SE. I was stunned and watched it for about 10 seconds until I realized I needed to record it. I reached in my pocket, got my phone, opened the camera, and by the time I found it in the lens it was already all the way across the other side of the cutover. I captured a 9 second video before it disappeared. Unfortunately the video wasn’t great because it happened quickly. Keep in mind, the area I’m hunting is in central Alabama and very rural. There’s very few people who live around this area. There’s no nearby big cities, airports, or military bases. I’m not saying it couldn’t be one of those just flying over, but I’m not convinced it was. This was the first object I saw that I deemed to be unidentifiable to my knowledge, and it was during the broad day.

On a night walk, my wife and I spotted a large bright circular white light traveling straight down and considering the distance and size, it may have been anywhere from Rockford MI to Lake Michigan. My thought was space debris, but not sure. The object was about the diameter of my pinky finger (about 3/4 inch).

2 identically shaped objects with multiple bright lights in night sky. There was a center light with lighted "spokes" on both

It was about 10 minutes to midnight, I was sitting in my chair in my living room and looked out toward the east and saw an object with very bright lights. It was moving fairly slowly in a southern direction. I first saw it over the golf course (east of our home) where there very few trees and continued to watch it as it progressed south beyond some trees. It was moving horizontal to the ground.

I moved to the kitchen window and then the dining room to get a better view of it and saw there was a second one, same shape, as if following it, in the same direction or path. The shape was unusual, it had a center light with what appeared to be a spoke-like pattern of straight lights extending from the center light. All the bright lights were the same size. The “spokes” or straight lines of light could be described as being at the 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, 10:00 positions on a clock, each line having 4 or maybe 5 lights in a straight row extending out from its center. I couldn’t see any other shape due to the dark sky. Both objects were of the exact same design and the lights did blink. There was no noise that I could hear. They proceeded south then arched toward the west. I did not see them increase speed or slow down when they were visible to me.

There is an airport in Rockford and we normally do hear airplanes overhead as well as helicopters, but these objects were large and unlike any airplane lights or helicopter lights I have ever seen. They were in the sky much lower to the ground than any plane or helicopter I have seen fly overhead. My husband was sleeping and I did not wake him, so I was the only one that I know of that witnessed them.

It would have taken at least the size of a fifty cent piece to have covered one of them from my view. They both appeared to be the same size.

I do not drink alcohol at all and am not taking prescription medications. I am a retired registered nurse. I do wear glasses with a very slight correction for distance and had them on during this sighting.

I did try to take a video of the lights, but only had my mobile phone camera, so it didn’t turn out well at all. It appears in the video as a sphere of light with no spokes showing in the picture. I also took it through the window, which has a screen so all I can see if a bright round sphere of light with screen wire squares dancing about in the video. The video was time stamped at 11:57pm and is 15 seconds long. Unfortunately I couldn’t hold it perfectly still so the light’s movement is probably not accurate as to its actual movement through the sky. We had the house alarm set, so I didn’t open the back door to step outside for a better video. This morning I did describe what I saw to my husband and he viewed the video. He checked our outdoor security camera and backed it up to 11:45 – midnight. At 11:53 it did pick up a bright light in the north eastern direction that was moving south seen through the trees.

Called friend who lives app 7 miles distant in same direction. He reported light as blue green and located almost directly overhead or to the west a short distance.

Two other witnesses who live 7 to 8 miles west of object traveled to area to view object at same time. Objects seem to hover and appear to be much higher in altitude than allowed by law.

The final light observed seemed to linger for a moment before disappearing in the same location-perhaps in pursuit?

The flash lit up the dark cloudy sky and everyone with me freaked out from what we had witnessed. All of us decided to draw what we had seen, and all of the photos were the same triangle with a beam of light coming down. I posted on Facebook asking if anyone seen the light and multiple people responded yes. The light/triangle was at least 1-2 miles wide and the beam was maybe half a mile wide. The light was very bright. I've never seen anything like this in my entire life. All of us were spooked.

Large extremely slow moving craft with red and white lights makes several low altitude passes over Rockford.

A large chevron shaped aircraft passed slowly by at speeds too low for a winged craft and there were no rotor noises. The craft flew at an altitude of approximately 200-300 feet and had a jet engine sound but with a much lower amplitutude than a commercial or military jet. There were 2 lights pointing in the direction of flight, and the lights were inbound from the tips of the wing. There were 2 red lights flashing/pulsating on each side of the craft. The craft flew past about 100 feet in front of us and we watched it until it was lost in the horizon or tree tops. The craft circled around and made similar passes at least 5 times. It was cloudy and slightly foggy so it was impossible to make out any detail of the craft due to the diffusion or glare caused by its onboard lighting. I have seen the V-22 Osprey and this was definitely not one of them or any type of jet airplane that can hover or fly at low speeds that I've ever seen. It flew nearly overhead and h! ad absolutely no propellor or rotor noise. It sounded like a turbine driven craft.

During the last pass we heard a few smaller higher pitched turbine sounds emanating from the craft which sounded similar to mechanical adjustments being made, similar to when a jetliner sets it flaps. My estimate is that the size of the craft was in the neighborhood of 150 ft long by 200-250 ft wide, and the body/fuselage appeard to be somewhat bulky as if it could carry large cargo. We did manage to take pictures and will transfer them to the PC in the morning. My impression was that the craft was military and not extraterrestrial. I am a skydiver having over 100 jumps, including 2 jumps from a Boeing 727 jetliner, in addition to attending many Air Shows over the years as an aviation enthusiast. I also studied to become a private pilot and am very familiar with the many types of aircraft, the speeds at which they can fly, and their sound characteristics. This was like nothing I had ever seen or heard and the other 2 witnesses have the same opinion.

While sleeping seen ship clearly, probably abducted. Found picture online that look exactly what I seen. Also similar drawing as well.

While sleeping seen this ship up close outside window over nearby neighbor houses. It was like a circular shape with probably 90 degree edges.

It was glowing blue as a thin layer I guess haze all over it, probably blue glow from ionized air. Also seen faint sporadic violet electric streaks all over it. It probably was shiny grey, just making a guess due to like the blue glow / haze around it.

Seen edge facing me from maybe initially seen outside the window. Seen moment floating towards the ships edge. Turned around in the air and seen my house and neighbor houses from high above. Not sure interior as much, maybe brightly lit all white curved hallway all around the ship. Eventually back in bedroom. Seen probably person wearing all black uniform laying on floor in between bed and window, could probably only see their back, I think they might be a dark green skinned reptilian due to other times probably been abducted. For example seen probably reptilian person standing in front of me wearing that all black uniform with orange vertical slit eyes, my arm without my control moved to point at them and my mouth speaking in slurred voice without me speaking saying “its you”.

I then see outside window the ship facing towards me suddenly flip to maybe around a 45 degree angle in around 1 to 2 seconds. My body just gets in bed without my control (probably brain implant control) and my vision go dark.

Note: I’ve added a picture of this alien ship which look literally exactly like what I had seen found off a video from secureteam10 compared with this drawing on a video from David Jacobs from maybe someone else from their memory when they were abducted. That person that made the drawing perhaps did hypnotic regression with David Jacobs. Also just to mention hypnotic regression perhaps just being relaxed and able to remember memory.

Note: I might have seen up close to someone’s dark green reptilian face and I noticed for a brief moment had all white lower eyelids go upwards quickly and back down. I’ve added a picture of a drawing of a reptilian person from someone else called Eva Draconis which perhaps look very similar to what I had seen with the dark green skinned reptilian person. I also might have seen a reptilian person with brown skin which maybe look similar to that drawing, although maybe with slightly lighter brown skin (maybe due to lighting skin appear lighter).

Red hovering flashing orb suddenly disappearing followed by two red and white flashing object.

Witness A noticed red hovering flashing orb that caught her eye at around 10:30 pm. Witness A then called over witness B who approached the window assuming it was a radio tower we both had not notice previously. On closer inspection we both notice the orb was hovering to the left and then to the right slowly. It stayed in sight while blinking for around 4 minutes before suddenly disappearing. Witness A remained at the window, while witness B started googleing what this could possibly be. After a while, Witness A then called over Witness B yet again upon spotting 1 more lights that was flashing red and then white in the same area. This then split into two separate flashing objects. The red and white lights were moving very slowly to the left and then very slowly moving back to a neutral position. This lasted for around 2 minutes before moving to left once more and disappearing behind the trees out of view.

Witness A and B stayed at the window for around 10 more minutes. Then we both notice what we believe to be a plane flying by that similar area heading to the right until it disappeared from view (over the house).

Strange lights over Maryville/Knoxville

I was washing my hands at the sink at about 22:50 on Sunday may the 4th when I looked out the window at the sky as I noticed an extra bright what looked to be a star.

As I watched closer, I noticed this "star was making small circular motions in the sky almost doing figure 8's in the sky.

I went to go alert my wife about the light and as we both stared out the window at it, it began to flash different colors, red/white/blue/purple.

Then after about 15 minutes of watching, 3 smaller blinking red lights began flying straight towards the larger light and as they approached the larger light and made contact with it, they changed direction and continued flying.

I am unsure how long the light remained in the sky because I had to get to bed. But it was still in the sky when I finally laid down at about 23:25.

This object appeared to be hovering in the sky East of Knoxville/maryville almost in the Smoky Mountains.

Bright red, white, and orange lights hovering in the western sky.

We were outside around 7:30 (19:30) and in the western sky there was a very bright white light that was thought to be an aircraft at first but it was traveling too slow. We thought it was an aircraft because we live by an airport.

The object was traveling from west to east, we observed it with binoculars. I would say it was aproximatly 8 to 10 miles away from us.

We could see white, red, and orange lights on the object. At one point in time during this event a smaller object came from the top of the original object and hovered above.

The two objects came back together and we continued to observe it for another 5 to 10 minutes.

The object fell below the horizon behind a line of trees and disappeared from our sight.

Dark red light over Rock River in Rockford, Il before fireworks...

Was downtown waiting for fireworks when I noticed a dark red light in the sky moving really slow...

I thought maybe it was a helicopter but there was no flashing light or any other light source...

It then faded out and you could see the object just sitting there for 15 minutes until it just disappeared...

Note there where other helicopters in the area with flashing lights and landing lights on...

Eight globes like if they were full of fire inescapable from the bright globe flew silently over Rockford, IL.

On the date 05/12/13 at about 22:30 and 22:45 I was outside my house in the dark, since our street is one of the street in the city of Rockford,IL. that has the street lights shut off. I was making sure that my car was locked before going in the house, When I noticed a light moving slowly,silently in the dark sky toward my direction,It looked like a circle with what it seemed to be a bright red and bright yellow, like a fire contained with in the circle, There was no blinking,just a bright red mixture of fire like mixture all contained with in the circle,there was no smoke,no sound,just a slow moving object at a very low altitude {about a 3/4 of a mile high}, As I was observing this craft move and pass almost over me,I situated myself as close to the house wall as possible as to pretend to be part of the house,not moving.As the first craft was gliding over me at the described altitude ,I noticed a second craft also coming from the same direction{from the West m! oving East}, The separating distance from the first craft I calculate to be about 4 city blocks,This craft was also identical in description{If you have seen in you tube a video of the functioning sun and all the hot colors,That is exactly how these crafts looked inside that circle}, The speed of the second craft was similar to the one of the first craft,As the second craft was passing over us{same altitude},I noticed 2 crafts coming from the same direction about 4 city blocks separating distance,These 2 crafts were flying side by side{somewhat close to each other}. Needless to say by now I was very scared,and planning to get myself into the house asap.I went into the house and told my wife what I saw and ask her to come to the front porch of the house,By this time there were two more crafts coming from the same direction at somewhat faster pace{still I feel that it was slow speed for a UFO}but I felt that these two crafts were in a little faster pace , perhaps trying to catch! up to the first four crafts.My wife saw these two crafts and! she als o could not figure out what they were{We are absolutely sure that they were not airplane,helicopters or anything man made.as me and my wife were looking at the two crafts,I noticed 2 more crafts coming from the same direction in the distance{4 city blocks}By now I called my next door neighbor and told him to come out and see what was going on outside,He came out and had a cell phone{Iphone5}and was able to still catch some seconds of video of the crafts as they seemed to gather high in the Eastern sky. Also outside was my neighbor`s grand daughter{15 years old},We have the video:

I would like to put emphasis on the size of the globes that I saw,They were all the same in size and color,There were no sounds,Low altitude as if they were taking a deeper and closer look at the Earth, I have a son that is a police officer ,He said that there were no calls from people reporting seeing this cr! afts.Also the Chicago-Rockford International Airport{In Rockford,IL}is located about one mile away from the location where this sighting occurred, I do not know if they detected anything that night. These crafts definitely were fallowing a route,had organized spacing,control in the speed of movement,formation and synchronization.

Large object with many bright lights.

On January 3, 2013. The time was about 8:00 in the evining central time. There was a large object with many bright lights in a spherical shape. The object was steadying still (floating) for about 5 seconds.

THe object then start lowering slowly but quickly lowering like it was getting ready to land. There was only one and it had a spherical shape. It lowered to tree level and the lights shut off. I have an opinion that it may have went into the golf course or a large park nearby to land. AS I got out of the car I heard a dog barking eratically from the golf course and then hurried inside.

Strange Orange Light Balls Over Rockford Illinois

It was a normal friday night for the kids and I when a glance out the window became the excitement of the night. We saw orange balls seemingly flying in a line, across the sky. By the time I got my camera out most were gone, but we we able to video about four of the strange orange balls. We dont know what they were, but we're wondering.

Burning disc observed over Rockford, IL

My wife was watching a satellite move across the sky from the West to East while finishing cooking on the grill. We’ve spent many a night satellite watching over the years so it is second nature to peer upwards any chance we get. She called me outside to see a different object in the sky. It had a definite disc shaped and appeared to be on fire. It was moving from the South to North approximately 90 degrees above horizon at highest point. Color was a very bright orange and it did appear to be on fire. It moved at a constant speed, no wavering, and at a pretty good rate. Sky was clear. Altitude undetermined, but if I had to guess I would say 3,000 to 5,000 feet if not higher. Size of object was about the size of a 737 at that altitude, but again object was disc shaped. I have an aviation background and I immediately looked for but did not see a contrail, no noise, no strobe or recognition lights. No glowing, or trailing debris, or smoke trail like you would ! see with a meteor or boloid. No sign of a balloon attached, like one of those party balloons that are sent aloft via a candle.

This was no candle and balloon. Object was way too bright, too big, and moving too fast for wind conditions, which were calm to light out of the South East. It appeared to be on fire because of it’s color and the way it looked around the edges, changing in shape ever so slightly like a flickering flame, but the brightness and intensity were constant throughout the object and never dimmed the entire time in view. Duration of sighting was approximately 7 to 10 seconds. Did not have horizon to horizon view of object due to trees and houses, only about 60 degrees of it’s travel was observable if object indeed went horizon to horizon.

I saw a similar object last summer and sent in a report at that time.

Triangular craft with amber light spotted by Rockford couple

At 10:30 P.M. me and my girlfriend had just went to bed,when at 10:55 i was suddenly awakened by a very bright blinking amber light!

I junmped out of bed and was looking about 30 seconds later my girlfriend joined me at the window until we could no longer see it. This triangle had several lights but the amber one was extremly bright,like a spotlight,and moving around? this object was barely clearing the trees in the area,which are 10 to 20 ft above the telephone poles, it did make a low whining sound but nothing like you would expect from a low flying aircraft?

Giant oval shaped shadow flies by on ground and disappears.

My mother and I were driving down our road just talking and joking.In the middle of the conversation a huge oval shaped shadow passed over the road in front of the car. I was shocked and said, "What was that!".

I looked out the window and there was nothing in the sky. At the moment it passed over we were drivng on a road in between two long fields.

I went to find out if anything like that has happened before. On another website i found out that the same thing happened to someone on the same road exactly one year before. I hadnt reported it at the time because I couldnt find the right site to report it untill now.

3 red lights in rockford NOT planes!!!

I was driving east bound on riverside approaching alpine. I was like at kmart area and seen 3 red lights in sky. I was on phone and husband was in car. I said wow what are those? Do to 2 were close to each other and 3rd in back distance some away. I was like they are not planes they are too close to each other especially the from 2 then we watched them then on in front pair disappeared and then next one then next one..

Glad i had a witness to this one.. the distance up ways way to high to be like any lighted objects other than aircrafts

Small, fast, bright, silent UFO streaks across Rockford sky at super speed, disappears into cloud

My little sister and I were spending some time relaxing and talking with a group of friends on the driveway of a buddy's house. We were all sitting around talking, listening to music enjoying a chilly evening like we usually do. We often sit on this driveway just to enjoy the outside air, and to lay on our backs and look at the stars at night. We look for meteors and interestingly shaped clouds and such because we all tend to have a pretty decent repect for the beauty of nature and planet earth. Some of us are artists or musicians, while others are simply just free spirits with open minds.

Around 11pm central time, we were all still gathered in conversation and laughter when my sister said she saw the most beautifully bright shooting star, and we all moaned for we had missed it. She said that she had never quite seen anything like that before, which got me thinking... was it an extraterrestrial vehicle? I began to meditate deeply as I do everyday, except I was trying very hard to visualize what she had seen. Before long I could feel something very different and began to see the most beautiful shapes and geometry in the backs of my eyes.

It was then around 11:20pm that we were all somewhat quiet and the music had stopped when a large, bright, amber in color, and extremely fast light shot out from far behind a tree in the front yard and sped in a very oblong arc across the sky first going higher and then lower again and disappeared into a cloud. When it first appeared I stood up from the ground very quickly shouting "Whoa!", trying to get a better look at it because it was moving very fast, and I didnt want to loose sight of it.

My sister then saw it too from my reaction and direction of gaze. It looked to be about seven to eight-hundred feet high, the arc of travel spanned a local angle of approximatley thirty to fourty degrees, lasting somewhere between 3 to 5 seconds. It was maybe 3 to 4 times the size of a star, 10 to 15 times brighter than any star in the sky, and about one tenth to one eighth the size of the moon. It made absoloutley no noise whatsoever, and as it dissapeared into a relativley dark and ! unviewable cloud above the horizon it seemed to make the tiniest "hole" or impression where it had gone in. I knew right away that it was too bright, lasted too long and far too low to be a meteor. I estimate that it was traveling somewhere around eight or nine thousand miles per hour, and the intensity of the light never faded save for with distance and cloud interference.

I was with a few friends outside of a friend's house in their driveway at about 11:00 pm. While socializing, I saw what I thought to be a really slow moving shooting star out of the corner of my eye. I said aloud to everyone there "hey, I think I saw a shooting star!" I didn't think about the fact that it was very cloudy out (and I was unable to see any stars when I looked up) but I saw this in my peripheral vision and wrote it off as a really bright shooting star.

About ten to fifteen minutes later, my brother and I were having a conversation about UFO's, strangely enough. He was telling me how he saw a UFO while at work the previous day. My brother is really into UFO's and has been talking about them a lot recently. I said to him "yeah, yeah, real cool. I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes." Literally five seconds later I saw a strange light move around from where the other shooting light had come from and I said "whoa" which made my brother look! up in the same direction as I was. Above my friend's house and just below the clouds, we both saw a large yellowish orange concentrated ball make itself visible and move at a steady pace at about a 100 degree angle across the sky. It was going much faster than an airplane and much slower than a shooting star. It was one solid light, not many small ones. It was completely silent. When it got to the end of that stretch it disappeared into thin air. It moved at an upward angle, but not straight up.

We both saw the whole thing and can't figure out what it could have been. I have never seen anything like that before.

Bright orange object seen over Rockford, IL, many witnesses.

Six other people and I saw what at first appeared to be a very bright satellite or landing lights from an aircraft, except it was orange and much brighter than the space station or a Iridium flare, which only lasts a second or two. It appeared over some tree tops from the North East, traveled just about straight overhead, and blinked out in the South West sky approximately 35-45 degrees above the SW horizon.

It traveled at a constant speed, like a satellite or space station, and never wavered. There was no contrail or smoke being emitted. No strobe or nav lights noticed and no sound.

The color is what caught everyone’s attention. It was orange, and when it was overhead it did appear to be ever so lightly changing in intensity, as if it were on fire. It was also obvious it was not an aircraft since at such an angle, and as it continued away from us, the landing lights would not have been so bright or visible at all.

I doubt if it was a bolide or space junk entering the atmosphere due to its constant speed and other characteristics. I have also witnessed bolides, meteors, satellites and space junk in the past due to one of my favorite pastimes, star gazing, for over 40 years.

Single orange fireball that moved slowly East to West, stopped and slowly disappeared.

We were sitting on the Chestnut Bridge in Rockford, IL waiting for the fireworks to start on July 4, 2011. The street lights had just come on (I believe it was around 21:20) when my daughter saw what appeared to be a single orange circular fireball.

She nudged me and asked what it was. I had no idea. We watched it travel slowly from East to West, when it stopped moving and the light slowly faded and disappeared. There was no sound emitted from the object.

We saw several people in the crowd look up at it, but no one offered any explanations.

I saw something that looked exactly the same on Saturday, July 2, on the lake at Apple Canyon, IL, waiting for their fireworks to begin which was also around 21:20. It had the same shape and color (circular and orange)and there was only 1. It moved slowly West to East.

I watched it for a minute when I got distracted by someone and averted my eyes for only a moment. When I went to watch it some more, the object was gone.

I am not one of those people who believe in UFO’s, but thus far, no one has offered a reasonable explanation as to what the object was.

very large object glides across opening in clouds for a brief view.

I was on lunch break at work looking at the birds flying around on a very cloudy day. There was only one break in the clouds in the shape like an open eye. I noticed a huge object seem to float across this opening in the cloudy sky. This object was at least five times bigger then any aircraft I have ever seen. The shape was unlike any ufo I ever heard of. It had a top,middle and bottom to it. All the same width with the middle a bit larger in highth then the top and bottom. The top and bottom were the same sizes. middle section was like the saucer shapes you here of, but there were like half saucers on top and bottom of it. Seemed flat on top and bottom. It just glided through the opening in the clouds for a few seconds and that was it. seemed to be made of medal, not shinny though just a dull look to it. No lights, no sounds, no signs of combustion. just glided like it was sliding on the gravy some how.

White Diskus And Strobing light

I was in my backyard near e. state and alpine area around 10:30 pm. I chilling when all of a sudden seen something streak across the sky (white diskus)

at first glance i thought it was a meteor but reconsidered because of its trajectory, then i noticed a strobing light flashing various colors it stayed in position for about 30 mins then started gradually declining until my view was obscured by the trees.

This is my third sighting. 1st: 10-29-10 19:10. West to East 2nd: 11-14-10 23:15. East to West. 3rd: 11-23-10 18:20 heading SE.

Saw from my yard in the city of Rockford, IL all three times. It flew right over my house each time.

"Black Shadow" craft was visible with both the naked eye and with binoculars. Binocular power: 50x10. Saw 1st and 3rd time clearly with binoculars for several seconds.

Craft was triangular with 10-20 dim white lights outlining the shape. Shape was very similar to a Stealth bomber. It was not a straight triangle. The "tail end" angled in equally from both sides towards the middle. (like one of those futuristic guitars) It glided smoothly and silently. Seemed low flying as it filled the entire viewing area within binoculars. Difficult to determine size in night sky with nothing to compare it to.

There was lights on a hoovering UFO, that only moved side to side and back and forward.

I went outside about 4:30 am. I looked up to observe the stars. I noticed the big dipper and looked for the north star. What I thought was the north star seemed to have flashing red and blue lights. I thought it could have been an airplane (I do live near an airport). but it seemed to just hoover. It moved from side to side, hid be hind trees, then started to fly away, but then again just hoovered. I could see the lights but being as dark as it was could not make out shape or size. There seemed to be 2 or 3 airplanes chasing after it. I could tell they were planes from there light patterns.

Three orange glowing lights traveling together in the form of a verticle triangle in the night disappear into the clouds.

I was driving west down East Street in Rockford, Il with my son. Ahead up in the night sky to our right we saw three round glowing lights. They were moving in a southerly direction. We decided to turn right into a parking lot and get out of the vehicle and look up at them. When we pulled in we were directly under them. They were in a vertical triangle position. Not horizontal. My son kept thinking they were balloons because the glowing lights looked like burning flames that you would see from a hot air baloon. They were low and making no sounds. Rockford does have an airport and we have seen planes often. Planes have red flashing and white lights and make noise. Not these orange passing what ever they were lights passing in the night sky just above our heads! They faded into some clouds and then disappeared. I doubt anyone would be flying in a hot air balloon in the dark. And three of them at that. And then to be perfectly traveling together in the shape of a perfect triangle. Too weird. Also, I did witness an air plane near the object.

A keen sighting of many in Rockford Illinois-

I was coming down Rockton Avenue from Riverside in Rockford Illinois and its was approximately 915pm on July 3rd and there was fireworks going around, however I noticed directly above to my left (above all firework lines or having ruled out so) I noticed a red-orangeish craft that was flying strong but fairly slow not far above me.

I stopped and looked at it on my bike and after about 30 seconds it it slowly worked itself to not be seen afterward. I am putting this on here because I have seen previous UFO's before in Rockford and am very keen of things that aren't normal around rockford skies and this was one of those cases. It's not the first time Ive had intuitive experiences to look up and see quite abnormal things around rockford skies but this was the most recent.

And for validity I put this sighting up as soon as possible, thank you and I hope someone else was keen enough to see it and come forward and rule out fireworks because if you saw it you would! agree that it wasn't.

We were walking at 2:35ish AM and my wife spotted this white no more of a shopping bag color ciruclar round shape in the sky, it was below the cloud, initaily we thougt it was a star, then a kite, then a airplane, but it had no lights to be seen from a distance and no sound was coming from the object.

As it came closer we heard a very light hissing sound hardly detactable and as it came it hovered clockwise , and when it was over us (Going East to West) we noticed there was a light coming from inside the object but still nothing outside (Note: the object was right below the clouds and the light was still visible all though not very blinding light)we decided to call our children maybe a 300 ft away from where we were standing in the house at that time we also made a u-turn to turn back around and it was no where in sight our children came out in less then 20 seconds and saw nothing.

We don't know what it was but either the governments got new toys or it was i! ndeed a alien space ship.

(Note: as soon as we figured out it was not anything of the ordinary we tried to take a picture with my cameraphone, (blackberry) but it only got a black sky.)

The object was a circular file, it was coming towards us, intially we thought it was a airplane or kite, after a minute or so, it came lower and we realized it wasn't those two, there was no light outside, but there was light seen in the inside, it had a white-silver tinge in it and it was gone within 2 minutes as though it just disappeared or just vanished, if rotated around in the air and was hovering above the trees next to us, it was traveling from east to west and it was almost larger than a plane and it made no sound.

Hovering white light that dims then regains full white light while dropping in altitude slowly and then stopping to hover.

Have been watching this huge ball of light for a few weeks now. It shows up periodically then does not show itself for a few days and then returns. Tonight I called my daughter to come witness this event and as she watched along with me it would dim to a red light then shimmer and return to the huge while ball of light.

As we watched it slowly moved lower in the sky while dimming at times and growing back to the white light. We observed this until it was in to the tree lined area. It is still there and not sure what this could be? Seems to be a bit west of Rockford. We did not pursue this in our car to see its location. Would love to know if anyone else in Rockford has reported this or not.

My 7 year old daughter was the first to see it in the car on the way to school. My 5 year old son was the next to see it. Daughter called it to the attention of my wife. She (wife) called me on my cell phone. I was in the garden. I went to my apartment on the third floor and saw it out the window with binoculars. It was a long black tube with a small protrusion at one end at a 90 degree angle respective to the body. Wife said it had a long split running the full length of the body that was slightly lighter than the surrounding body's black color. I could not see that from my location. It was 1/2 mile from me and about 400 feet off the ground. Wife saw it from 9:10 to 9:15 when she had to make a turn to get the kids to school. I saw it from 9:13 to 9:17 when it disappeared. I didn't see the direction but it was definitely gone from the sky. Wife said it kept coming closer then going farther away. It was completely vertical to 10 degrees when she saw it. It was 45 to 90 degrees slowly varying when I saw it. It was coming closer to me when it disappeared.

I was playing tennis and saw two bright white lights. It could not have been an airplane because there was no flashing. The lights were not so bright that I could not see well, but bright enough to notice from 2 miles away. I stopped to look and from its original SE heading it turned, going NE. While turning it pitched about 70 degrees and I saw three lights. These three lights made me report this as a triangle shape from their position in respect to each other. The light that I did not see until it turned was slightly red in color. I could not see the body for it must have been transparent. I only saw the dark blue sky behind it. After turning, I could not see it because it went behind a tree. From that point, I did not see it again. I went around the area and noticed aircraft, probably United States air force, moving around. There were at least 3 of these, which is very unusual for one area in the country. The planes did not appear to be chasing the UFO, b! ut rather as if searching for it.

very many extraordinary lights over bostwick lake for the past week every night, definantly not from this earth



The first sighting happen in grand rapids and appeared as 5 bright orange dots, they were moving as one object but it was to dark to see any structure, they were very close to the ground floating right above a really tall building about 100 feet, the size of the object was huge the lights spread about 150-200 ft apart. we went back to see these lights about 15 minutes later and they were gone.on nov. 7 i sat on my porch and looked into the night sky over my lake(bostwick lake) wondering what was out there cause i seen those strange lights about a week before, when all of a sudden i notice this bright flashing light in the sky, it was very big, at first i just thought it was a plane then i noticed the lights were in a straight line, there was light all different colors( green orange and red) they would flash one after another in a straight line but very fast, soon i notice another one moving into my view over the lake, it passed the other light very fast and was very very close to the other one. the lights where very strange when they would move they would kind of flicker to another position around where it was but the strangest part was that it would flicker and end up behind it its original path,i noticed more and more light as i watched the sky, dont have an exact number but there were at least 15 separate moving objects in the sky over the lake, there was another light that flashed very rapidly it almost looked electric but there was only one and it was very different than the other lights,i also seen planes flying right next to and around all of these lights. after watching this for about an hour i see 3 lights emerging from the darkness in the sky they were very bright and orange, there was three of them and they made the shape of a triangle, the triangle was massive again you could almost see a structure but it just look a different shade of black between the lights, as i watched it i noticed the light moving away from! each other,but i as i watched i noticed the object was only c! oming cl oser it stayed in one position not moving for about an hour, i went inside for about 15 minutes and went back out and it was gone, as i was watching some of these light i seen shooting stars or what looked like them pass right by the lights and that happen about 3 times in 5 minutes, another light i was watching was moving at a very fast speed and i seen what looked like a red shooting star shoot straight downward but it was very close, u could see the flames on it.i seen many objects and i have to say it almost traumatized me, iv never seen anything like it and there were so many. i have seen these lights every night since, they do not come around during the day only night around 6 or 7 until morning, just last night i watched a light which was the exact same 3 lights in a line flashing object and it was very low to the ground, maybe only 100 foot or less it was a little in the distance but enough to see a structure,it was almost circular shape but with a tail that hung d! own behind it. the object moved back and forth from left to right and about a 100 foot area all night. any person watching bostwick lake skies will see these objects they light up the sky with the amount of them, it is very strange and they are not planes i can promise you i have a video of one of the lights also.

Dated May 3, 2009, approx. 11:00 AM, while drift fishing on a clear breezy day, on the South/West side of Little Myers Lake, I looked up as a small plane was circling the lake, and then saw a cigar shiny mirrored type of craft, about 1,000’ up, and only about to Myers Lake Road, approx. 300’ away, and about 80 degrees up. It was about 60’ long as compared to the small plane that crossed under it.

I went to reach and bend down to lift up Captain’s seat and get camera, (5 sec.), on my pontoon boat, then I looked up to find it in the camera’s sights, and it had disappeared. Sky was clear, except for a few very high thin with several light lines of these high clouds, moving from the Southwest to Northeast. I kept looking for it for about 15 minutes no where’s to be seen. It had it’s mirrored, shiny, aluminum bright body, opposite the Sun, which was also about 80 degrees, up in sky. The plane came from a local personal airport on 11 Mile about one mile away, they landed after what it seemed as if they were going underneath the object, the plane was about 400-500' up.

I have other 2 UFO sighting's here in Summer 2008, one silver & round in clear daylight, along with 3 other witnesses on board another pontoon, and 2nd sighting in Summer 2008, was a large round red light approx. at 11:30 pm at night, with just a few light see-through clouds. The red light was larger then plane lights, and it stayed steady until just fadding away or disappearing. The red UFO was approx. 300-500' up in air, about 15 degree up, and about 1/4 - 1/2 mile to N. Northeast of N.E. edge of Little Myers Lake, their were 2 children and 2 teenagers on pontoon boat fishing with me at night.

No images of these 3 sightings were taken. I now carry a camera on my pontoon or other pontoons from now on. I will use your hotline number the next time, as I wasn't aware of your web site this time around.

The object/light was too big to be a light from from an aircraft. There was no noise, the object was close enough to be heard if it was an aircraft.

The object was not moving very fast. The object had speed, but not like a shooting star, satelite or a meteor.

The object made some short zig zag movements that were too fast to be made by a normal aircraft.

While I could not deduce an exact shape of the object, it proceeded to stay in place and there were flashing red, white and green lights. I first thought it was a plane, however, the lights were far brighter and concentrated than that of a plane. Also, the object(s) stayed in the same place for over 25 minutes. I noticed it outside my bedroom window around 10:30 pm and went out on my deck to look at it further. The object(s) appeared to hang much lower than the stars. It disapeared around 11:00pm.

UFO moving in a triangular movement over Rockford, IL. It moved back and forth and up and down. Then slowly dissapeared.

I was camping on Labor day weekend at a State Park near Loves Park, IL/ Rockford, IL. The state park is called Rock Cut State Park.

My husband and I went to sleep in our tents but left the top open with the screen on so we can look at the stars. Off to my right I saw a so-called star that was a bit brighter than most and kept going in and out of being dim and bright. I focused on this one single object.

All of a sudden it started going up and down quickly then right to left quickly. I immediately pointed this out to my husband and asked him it was just me or did that move. He agreed with me. he said it moved.

Then he stared at it with me and pointed out that it was going in a triangular movement. Sort of like it was making a invisible triangle.

This seemed to be quite far away. Eventually it got so dim that it was gone. I kept questioning myself thinking that maybe it was something else but we KNOW NOW that this was a UFO.

We saw planes go by late at night and they were planes. I saw 2 shooting stars and those were shooting stars. This object that I thought was a star until it started making these movements was, indeed, a UFO.

It was the color of a star mainly.

An engineer in the aero-engineering field could not identify a strange triangular object over northern Illinois.

About 22:00, I was driving from work to pick my brother up from his work. I work as an engineering intern at an AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING FACILITY. I know aircrafts very well, both experimental and common. So as I was driving home, I looked up to the North West and saw a light approaching very low over the highway. There was an airport close, so I assumed it was a 1 or 2 engine plane coming in for a landing.

I looked up again, and prepared myself for a huge blast of noise (this is how close it was). When I looked up a second time, a triangular object with three white lights at each point hovered silently over the highway.

This is no plane, as I've said before, my education is in engineering, as well as working specifically in aero-engineering field. I am not dumb, and I know what I know. I looked up a third time and it was gone.

What I saw cannot be identifiable by anyone on earth, and by my good understanding of physics, broke many physical laws that we could not even begin to comprehend. I'm not saying it was an alien, I'm just saying that I could not identify it, and I believe most on this world couldn't. I mean, an object of this shape could not create lift unless moving at a very fast speed, and if it did create lift by using a propulsion system from underneath, how could it move side to side efficiently? I mean, the harrier jump jets work similarly, but being that close, or anywhere near that close, i would have felt the vibrations and heard the huge roar of the engines.

Bright glowing object exiting earth's atmosphere w/ object ejmitted from glow at very fast speed

I was up working on a project for work and went outside for a cigarette. I was looking east and saw what I initially thought was an airplane with its flood lights through the branches of the tree located in my front yard, I then thought the plane is pretty low so I walked forward to see clearly what was going on. As I walked toward the light my second thought was the Rockford PD with their new police helicopter are on the hunt for someone with the search lights on, until I came to a clear view and the lights grew intense and then more intense as though a star was expanding glowing brighter and brighter for a few seconds and then from the light it looked as if it was a very large meteor entering the atmosphere catching on fire. I was convinced I was seeing the coolest meteor ever to fall to earth until it hit me, the meteor was not falling to earth it was moving away from earth up through and out of our atmosphere . As soon as I realized it was going the wrong direction for a meteor, a small object too small for great descriptive detail but if I were to give the best discription it was almost like an object with a perfect oval shape tilted on its side horizontally shot from the object that was on fire exiting our atmosphere at an imperceptible speed and seemed to disappear into the starry night sky with the fireball left trailing until disapating to blackness. I then went and looked at the launch scheduled for NASA to see if it had been the shuttle and found that there were no launches scheduled for July.

Triangular shaped several white lights within

On my way to work before sunrise, stopped at traffic light heading south, from corner of eye noticed lights moving west to east. The airport is further south, so I figured it to be a standard aircraft.

I looked as it traveled, just above the horizon, above the traffic light aprrox. 1/2 mile away. I could not make out the outline, but appeared to be triangle shaped by the several interior circular static white lights.

I thought about it as I turned and headed east, " What the heck was that?" I asked myself. I only questioned it because there were no flashing navigational lights and if it was a standard aircraft heading towards the airport it would have to be moving at a serious rate of speed.

This craft was at a constant rate under 50 mph and vertical.

I don't know what it was and don't care to become obsessed with finding out. I feel it should be noted only to help someone else know they are not the only one to take notice and feel betrayed as I was.

I e-mailed one of our newspapers with the event but nerver heard back from them.

A round with blue and red lights slowly moved across the sky.

Dec. 25, 2006 at approximately 8:45 p.m. at Rockford, Iowa, I recieved a phone call to look at an object in the sky, which they were observing through a telescope.

My son, daughter-in-law and I curiously watched through our binoculars.

I took several photos, being so dark out, only a few showed the object clearly.

The object appeared to be round (which shows in the enlarged photo) with blue and red lights.

It didn't move very fast, yet did move at a slow even rate.

Being cold out, we only watch for a few min. so I am not sure how long it actually was visible in our area.

This, being a strange event, has my curiosity at what it might be.

I am very interested in any opinions you might have on this sighting.

Fireball falling from the sky

I saw a shooting star moving from the east, and it was heading west towards Lake Michigan. It however, I was shocked to see it so suddenly that it was a fireball dropping right next to me, aprox. 10 ft. away from me. It was about the size of a baseball (reddish-orange) fireball when I saw it perhaps 10 feet taller than my garage roof (ranch) and the fireball was dropping behind the garage (where I was on a deck) and it was dropping about 4 ft. from the back wall.

As the fireball was dropping past me, the fireball made a phisst and it blew up about the size of a childs soccer ball about 5 ft. from the ground, and when it pssst about 8-10 inches above the ground it just disappeared. I didn't see or hear it hit the ground, however, I did see some small wisps of black smoke, very small, and disappeared. However, about a min. later, the smell was pretty bad, very acidric smelling.

A couple hours later I went outside on my deck to sit where I had seen that shooting star, and although I didn't smell it anymore, but, it was so quick, I got very hit hard with nausea, and I had to go in to throw up. At the time though, it's odd that I didn't even think that my nausea could have been caused by that smell, but, possible. I thought I should mention this especially since for some reason I just wasn't connecting those events together, perhaps nothing, but then perhaps they were connected. I was hit so hard with the nausea just the moment I sat down, and I was fine afterwards.

I still remember that smell, it was nothing I really recognized, however, maybe a slight plastic smell, but, not enough to call it burned plastic.

One of the sightings in Rockford I have seen.

On one particular occasion, me and my friend used to try to signal UFOS by halogen lights because the light reaches further into the sky. But on those occasions we couldn't really pinpoint anything contacting back in Rockford. How ever on or about the date I saw it I could say differently now about the contact back. On that night I wasn't even attempting to signal anything but always studied the skies. Any ways that night I looked up and saw what appeared to be a flashlight type orb similar to someone flashing a light just beaming, so for about 10-12 seconds I looked at it and all I can say is to my eye view it was about 10-15 yards wide. And after the few seconds elapsed it went from being on to off, and judging by the brightness of the sphere when it shut off so signal like I never forgot about when I was trying to signal them in a similar fashion.

That's just one of my sightings in Rockford Illinois and probably the strongest case I have here to instill my belief in a higher existence. I don't need anyone to believe me but to those who have seen something similar just be careful what you wish for and be aware of your surroundings, because I have seen other ones. Peace.

possible satellite, but no scheduled viewing, and the object flash/glowed brightly for a second or two.

I do not know if this was a satellite or not. I tried to use J-pass to see if there would be any satelites viewable in my area at this time, and there were none due.

The light was traveling northeast (more north than east) high in the sky just north of the city of Rockford. To my eye it was the size of the stars it flew between.

The strange thing is that in the middle of my viewing it flashed brightly for a second or two. The flash was about 10 times the size of the object. The object kept traveling at a quick rate of speed in the same steady direction until out of eyesight.

The sky was very clear, it had stormed here in Rockford about an hour or two before and the clouds had gone by the time I was outside. The light actually was traveling in the direction that the storm had led.

I saw two saucer shaped objects with lights going around the middle of them fly over head and land in the woods behind my house.

It was 2 years ago. But i remember it like it was yesterday. I was outside in the field behind my house when I saw lights in the sky. I looked up, and I saw 2 objects with lights on them. The lights were blinking around the middle of the craft. At first, I thought that what I was seeing was just airplanes. But then as they got closer into view, I monticed that the objects I was seeing was definetly NOT planes. They were circular in shape and they produced no noise at all.

I stared at the objects for the whole time they were in flight. Until I saw them land in the woods that are about 1 or 2 hundred yards behind my house. The way they landed was something I've not really seen. They were flying forwards, until they got over the woods.

Then they stopped in mid air, and floated directly downward. When they were flying, they were right next to each other the whole time. The objects were i think silverish in color.

That sighting was pretty cool. Because I have never seen anything like it!!

ball shaped thing hovering at a low altitude that rose straight up and out of site within a minutes

The sighting happened at the time and day given while I was on my way home at the end of the work day as a route manager supplying first aid products to industries. It was mostly a clear evening with some clouds to the east and some moving in from the west in the distance of the highway I was traveling north bound on.

As I was at about at the 15-20 mile mark south of the town in live in I noticed a weird sight in the sky on the west side of the highway. I have always been interested in aircraft and very much in touch with the sky and those things that occupy it. I had seen the moon hang really low in the sky before in this part of the country and first thought it was weird for it to be out and so low this soon in the evening so I started staring at it. It looked like a planet or rock just suspended in the sky and as I stared ,it appeared to begin moving upward and just when I started thinking it could be the moon rising or something of a rational reason it rotated and a reflection of light from the setting sun bounced off of what appeared to be a bronze window or panel part of it.

I kept staring at it and trying to keep my vehicle in my lane while watching this thing as long as I can and every time I looked at the road in front of me and return my attention back to where it was just a few seconds ago, I had to find it again because it had moved higher each time.

I was excited and also trying to reason as to why it would be hear and then I realized that it was directly east of the nuclear power plant that was about 10-15 miles west of me and the highway I was on. It was as though the plant was being observed. It rose up without a sound vapor trail or anything and within a minute or so it was completely out of sight, straight up.

I continue to look towards the east once I got to the stop sign, but it was out of sight by then.

This happens to one of many sightings I have had sinse the age of 8 years old now going on 50.

When the orb disappeared, It was like turning off a light... It was no longer visible.

I also referenced an object in the northwestern sky on this date. I read the report from Durand IL on the listings which reminded me of what I had observed.

As an amature astonomer, I an well versed with where Venus is in the night sky. It does not set in that section of the sky this time of year... Could not be Venus.

Conditions were perfect for viewing celestial objects at dusk into dark. What I observed was a large globe or spherical object that appeared to be within the Earths atmosphere. Definitely not a star. Orange in color and pulsated from blue to green to red in that order. When the event was over, the orb was just not there any longer.

This object has not been seen in that area of the sky since then.

November, Exact date I'm not sure of except it was early in the month. Sky was clear and I was taking a walk as I usually do. It was just after sundown. I was walking East towards home and I saw a bright meteor flash above me heading from West to East. I merely thought I had seen a brilliant meteor. A week later while taking my walk and almost at the same time I again saw a brilliant meteor heading again West to East about the same brightness as the previous one. I thought "how unusual to see two in about a week. About a week and a half later I didn't take my usual walk and was sitting in the living room and glanced out my picture window which faced East, and again saw a brilliant meteoric flash leaving a long trail and dissappearing over the roof of some distant houses. All three meteors were of similar intensity in brilliance which I thought very unusual. Especially to see 3 the same month and all were traveling West to East.

My sister and I were leaving Blackfoot to head out to Aberdeen where Ab-Cent Myndid (local band) was recording a EP. when we came up to the bend in Rockford, we say a craft the was oval, three white lights (two on the bottom upper part and one at the back, and a red medium oval that lined the side. my sister asked me if i was seeing what she said. she was riding in the passenger side. I was about ready to say the same thing . I slowed down to 30mph befor we entered the bend as we fallowed it, the oval stayed, hoovering for 2-3 min. remaining in the same place. at that time it was facing us, it wasn't till after thoes minuets, it started moving, turning to the sky with, what appeared to be, the front of the oval towards the direction of Pocatello. it then took off, slow at first, then it reached high speed and took off towards Pocatello only taking 1-2 minuets to get from Rockford to Pocatello when it would have took a normal airplane like 15-20 minuest. i'm not sure if that's how longe it would take but i believe it wouldn't take 1-2minuets. after we both confirmed what we saw, i knew it was something els.

Spectral kind of light 20 degrees above the horizon than vanished.

I was traveling north on Perryville road at about 6:45 am and noticed a spectral kind of light 20 degrees above the horizon. The light appeared to be almost stationary and very bright. It was competing with the light of the rising sun and was still very bright. The light "phased" through several colors as I watched. It would appear to be white then red then green then blue, there was no certain order to the light as it changed the more I watched. I would think I was seeing a plane with its running lights but it seemed not to move and was very bright. The thing that made me report what I saw was what happened next. I watched the light for about 2 minutes as described and then in suddenly just winked out. The sky was clear, no clouds to speak of, it did not dim or fade it just vanished. I could see nothing in the sky as the light level increased from the rising sun. One possible explanation may be a meteor viewed head on coming straight on into my field of view.

there were 4 of them and when the last one connected with the third one they looked just like the leader .

I went to my father-inlaws to cut down a tree. I put a rope in the tree to help pull the tree over then I cut the tree half way through, I then went over to the rope to see if I could pull the tree over, when I looked up there they were 4 round objects going south west at a very slow speed slower then any plane and there was no sound.

AS I watched them go over I noticed that the one in front looked different than the other three. Then the very last one moved a little faster and connected or docked with the third one. and together they looked like the leader. the direction they were going would have taken them over or close to the rockford air port at about 10:00 am I dont know if we were the only ones to see them or not I looked in the rockford paper the next day but there was nothing said about them. I should have stopped what I was doing and called the air port

I was on my way to bed when I looked out the living room patio door when I noticed lights in the sky. There was a group of four lights in the sky. UFO above E. State Street, Feb. 27, 2002, about 19:00 hrs.

My husband and I were at the Office Max Store on E.State St., in Rockford, IL.. When we left the store my husband noticed 1 large disk shaped UFO above E. State and told me to look at it. It was large; about 30 feet across, and seemed to be of a dark color that was not highly visable at night. When it listed to the side a bit, we could see underneath it, and there was one large round light in the middle; not beaming outward - but just lit. There was no sound from the ship at all, and it disappeared in just a couple of seconds. (we were able to watch it for abour 3 min. before it left. But it disappeared into no where in 2 seconds when it took off.) Did anyone else see this ship? We'll be watching this site for more reports from other people in that area of Rockford, Feb. 27th, 2002.

Fireball in the sky around 911, being chased by the military!

I used to work for UPS. After 911 the airport was of course closed for a few days, so I was at home. Many military aircraft were flying all over the country and Rockford Illinois was not left out. Many F-16 style jet fighters could be seen in our skies over those days. "Most" aircraft fly from west to east or east to west across the Rockford skies, it is very odd to see them fly in any other direction unless they are flying low to land at our very own airport.

A few days into the 911 event, I was standing on my front deck and noticed a few lights in the distance to the south flying north. I figured it was military jets scouting our skies. I was half right. As the lights came closer (actually passing over my house to the north)I could see the objects very clearly. The chase plane was a military jet, I believe it was an F-16. The lead craft flying directly in front of teh jet was a "ball of fire" a little larger than the jet. They flew north until out of my view. Its the closet I have ever been to a real UFO.

I hope that you can find sighting reports from others in my area, and possibly the military to substantiate this sighting. I am reporting this now as I this is teh first web site that I have discovered that will allow you to record events like this. Thank You.

Possible explanation for sighting in Rockford, IL.

I am writing this to offer information that may be helpful in regards to the 1/11/2001 Rockford Illinois report. I didn't see the lights that night, but did last summer. The same sort of things were approaching from north, headed south. The 1/11 report mentioned a hum. I live on the edge of Rockford, and had the benefit of a quieter viewing location. The hum the large group of lights was emitting, only a "tinkle", appeared to be that of many turboprop powered aircraft, probably "Hercules" national guard aircraft, flying in formation at high altitude. They may have been traveling back from Camp Douglas or Fort McCoy Wisconsin. The lights, once they passed overhead, dimmed, as if the landing lights had been viewed, and only the navigation lights could then be seen. I hope this may help explain some sightings.

We saw a fast moving green light (with no tail) in the sky above the horizon and just below the moon.

My Boyfriend and I were coming home from seeing a movie in Rockford. It was about 11:30 p.m. when we saw a bright green light "shoot" across the sky moving in a southwest direction. The light moved in a straight line at a very high velocity, with no tail. From the moment we first saw it, it seemed as though it appeared out of nowhere, it shot acroos the sky and disappeared in an instant. The light seemed to be traveling just below the moon. Even though it was a little after the 4th of July, it traveled much to far and fast to be any type of fire work or flare. My boyfriend and I don't particularly believe in aliens, but what we saw couldn't be identified or explained by either of us.

We saw a large reddish light in the Southern sky, visible in one spot for about 10 minutes, at 10:20 pm, June 26, 01, in Rockford Ill.

I was just leaving a friend's house about 10:20 PM and she was walking me to my car. We had been standing there talking in her driveway for about 2 minutes when something caught my eye. I turned and looked at a LARGE reddish light, directly south of us, about 40-50 degrees above the horizon. The light appeared to be at least the size of my thumb nail when my arm was outstretched. I've been observing Mars for quite a while now, and I read that it was supposed to be at it's nearest distance from earth last week. I said "Wow! Look at Mars. It is HUGE tonight!" As I said that, I made about a 45 degree turn to my left and looked at my friend,and there, way up in the S.E. sky at about 70-80- degrees, was the REAL Mars, looking sort of pink, and maybe less than half the size of my little thumb nail. It was a clear night and the moon was out in the S. Western part of sky. (The light was smaller than the moon.) I personally witnessed the yellow light formations that have been seen repeatedly over Rockford in the last 2 years, plus I've got 2 videos of the same phenomena, taken by a friend who saw the lights at other times. (Peter,I sent you his 1st video, and if he ever copyrights the second one, as you suggested, we'll send it to you.)This new light was alone, at least we only saw one. The color was reddish brown, with maybe a yellow haze around it. We both thought it looked more oval than round,and to me the light shone out from top, bottom and sides the way the "Star of Bethlehem" is depicted, but that could be my eyes. I thought the yellow lights looked that way, too, but in the videos they are round.) We watched the light for about 10 more minutes, and I believe I saw it blink several times, and then it started to move slighty to the west. Within a minute or two, it went behind a large stand of trees. My friend lives 1.3 miles N. of East State street. (The lights are often seen by witnesses near State St.) Judging by the size of the light, it seemed relatively close, and we could still see the light glowing through the trees, so I got in my car and went to look for it, but by the time I got out to the main road it was gone. I did see 2 airplanes flying in the direction of the light--one while we were still looking at the light, and the other when I reached the main road. The airport is in the same direction, though, so the planes may have been a coincidence. I drove back to her house about the same time 2 nights later and stood in the same spot and looked for a long time to see if we could have seen a street light from E. State Street, or somewhere in between. There was nothing. I saw a stand of trees about 4 blocks south. I think they were the same ones. My friend and I are both teachers with masters degrees, aged 45 and 53.

It continued this pattern several times before it hovered for a time and suddenly disappeared.

More lights over Rockford's East Side

At 10:40pm on 3/18/01 I stepped out of work to notice 7 bright orange lights slowly moving across the sky with 1 bright orange light moving at a much higher speed and at a much lower altitude. The first 7 have seemed to have stopped for about 2 minutes just hovering. When one would signal 2 bright white lights, another one would signal in the same matter. The lower one has join formation and one by one they would all signal two bright white lights. They where moving from east to northwest untill they disappeared. Two minutes after the last one disappeared. A low flying airplane was moving in the direction of last known location. This is the first time that I have seen them for myself. The other co-workers have said that this is the forth time in resent months to have seen for the last one was about 3 weeks prior and was estimated to be only 40 feet above the building and size scale was about the size of a small house.

Over a hill we had seen 4 or 5 lights in a semi-circle. They were flashing in unison from yellow to white. After about 2 minutes they faded and went away. After the lights went away we climbed a hill to make sure that the lights were not coming from the ground, and sure enough we didnt find anything that could have been seen from where we were standing. After the lights had dimmed and gone away we noticed a dark haze in the sky. We also saw a couple airplanes flying around the area after the lights fadded.

At about 21:30 this evening, I observed six orange lights in the eastern sky over Rockford, IL.

I was standing in my driveway which is roughly ten miles southwest of Rockford, IL, and saw six lights low on the horizon over Rockford. They were orange in color, about the size of a bright star and looked to be almost stationary. They were in what appeared to be two, side by side trianglar formations, with three lights in each formation. The light to my extreme right started blinking rapidly much in the manner of a stobe light. After about three to five miniutes, the lights faded to black while moving slightly to my left. They seemed to be moving away from me to the east or northeast. Channel 17 News (WTVO) at Ten (22:00)reported that lights were being seen over Rockford, including one report of "a light hovering over North Main street."

For about three minutes, we watched a formation of orangish lights all taking turns twinkling, then fading out.

Four of us were getting ready to leave the house tonight, when suddenly my boyfriend, looking far out Northwest, began shouting "Look! Look! There's those lights!" (There have been previous sightings in town, supposedly). Everyone was freaking out- calling out their parents and neighbors. All in formation, I know there were at least six dim orange lights, but amidst the hustle-&-bustle it was hard to tell... especially since the lights appeared to be taking "turns" blinking EXTREMELY bright like flares (one-at-a-time). Each burst of light lasted, I'd say, about ten seconds or so. None of the lights moved-- they appeared to remain in the same spot the whole time I observed. It seemed during each interval between the twinklings, that each light "faded" into the darkness, and with the final visible light, there were eight witnesses standing in the same lawn-- seeing the same thing. Within 3 minutes from when I first saw the formation, they were all out of sight.

There were seven of them. Five were bunched up and 2 were spread out. They kept moving at high speeds. They were round and shining like a blaze. At some points they were flashing white. One even flashed red once. they moved away from the area in about 3 min.

Saw nine yellow lights in groups of three, moving slowly in diagonal formation on my way to work.

nine yellow circle sped lights in formation of threes and diagonal above the horzon. Moved slowly south and prellel to the street I was on for several miles. I rolled down my car window ad watched at intersections to be sure it wasn't a reflection from anywhere. There was no sound.

Eight golden/orange objects hovering above Rockford.

The three of us witnessed eight golden/orange "fireballs" that seemed to be hovering over the city of Rockford. Looked like stars but brighter. They seemed to be in some sort of formation, with one a bit of a distance to the left of the others. All eight gradually faded out. All could be clearly seen from toll plaza at intersection of Route 20 and Interstate 90. At least one other car witnessed event.

It was a formation of 9 lights that were changing position relative to each other (about the size of the big dipper or bigger)

On Saturday February 10th, 2001 Me and my wife were driving Eastbound in Rockford Illinois when at 22:25 a formation of lights in the sky caught my wifes attention and asked me what it was. Of course I had no clue either, but we noticed that we were not the only ones seeing it because most people driving the same way we were were pullng over on the side of the street to take a good look of the lights, which were traveling in a southwest direction. We pulled over in a Restaurant's parking lot, and we noticed all the patrons at that restaurant were outside watching those lights, despite the cold temperature which mut have been on the teens. he lady standing next to me theorized that they were some kind of memorial lanterns lit up and launched from a nearby hospital and that were being carried by the wind. However it was interesting to see that the lights were shfting positions very slowly and it was interesting to see that at the end of the sighting one of the lights started traveling in the opposite direction as the other lights.

Nine objects moving North to South at various speeds and direction.Emitting an orange glow.

Unable to determine any shape. Moved from a North to South direction .There were nine different objects and several changed directions toward or away from each other at verious times. Emitted a bright orange glow. This event was also on Fire scanner channels and observed by fire personnel.Was also reported on local TV, station. All units moved at various speeds and direction but tended to fly in a general formation.

9-11 orange-red lights in formation appear twice in 1 hour which can remain perfectly still then travel exceedingly fast.

At about 21:50, my 9 yr old son said "Wow, the little dipper sure is bright tonight!" We looked out our W windows and looked NW. There we saw about 9-11 orange-red mostly motionless lights in the sky. They changed formation slightly. About 2 then flew off and disappeared, then another 2 or so until there were only 2 left which then traveled directly S, at first close together and then more apart. They were able to make pin point stops and continue. We couldn't see them after they had traveled so far S. Then at about 22:30 they reappeared in the same spot in a diamond formation. I phoned a neighbor. A plane flew past and behind the formation.They disappeared as before but only 1 traveled S, stopped directly W, disappeared and I saw a white shooting star straight from sky to earth where the light was last.

More lights over Rockford, Illinois

Lights similar to those seen over Rockford both last year at this time and in recent weeks of 2001 spotted by numerous witnesses (by the dozens) over the area of East State Street and Mulford Roads. Lights eportedly re and orange spheres flying in random patterns and hovering.

14 all together, then they separated and the one I remember most followed East State Street in an easterly direction, approx. 2000 ft above the roadway. appeared first as a bright red object which blurred into an orange color. no noise, shot out of site when it reached the State Street and Bell School road intersection.

Lights seen in Rockford, Il when coming home at night. Color sort of off pink like street lights.

My granddaughter and I were coming home thru Rockford on East State Street. We saw the lights in the sky over somewhere around Media Play. I did not think the lights were very high. We both thought that whatever it was it was attached to the ground somewhere by a string. I thing someone had ballons in two sets, tyed together so they would look like two groups. I don't know what the light source was. Maybe penlighs or those lights that can be used when camping where you break the glass tube inside the plastic tube. I do not think it was anything from another world. The lights moved around within each group, like the wind was making them move. It reminded me of the ballons that businesses send up during the day to advertize a sale. I did not count the number of lights and time is approximate.Nothing more that I can think to say on this subject.
