Partner and I went outside to watch the meteor shower at 10:00pm. At ~11:00pm we saw a large, transparent craft making waves of light.

I’m a skeptic, but open minded when something defies my understanding. This is one of two unexplainable physical objects I’ve perceived outside of dreaming and experimenting with substances. This is also the first sighting I’ve had with another person present and aware.

My partner and I went out at 10:00pm on Saturday (August 13th) to watch the Perseid meteor shower in his backyard (located in Somerville, Massachusetts). It was surprisingly clear, and we saw a total of three meteors heading south before rotating our lawn chairs at 11:00pm. My partner went to chat with our neighbor at her door while I pleaded for him to return (I was giddy at witnessing two more impressive meteors shooting southwest). He returned and immediately commented on the neighbors outdoor lights—and how they were not automatically turning off at a reasonable hour—when I perceived something big flying overhead in the opposite direction of the previously observed meteors. I said, “is that a bird?” before realizing that it did not resemble anything I had ever seen before. My question prompted my partner to silently observe with me. The object was almost plane shaped, but somewhat transparent like matte plastic. It was catching some light—I could make out it’s overall shape—but light or electricity seemed to cascade off of it in waves or sparks (like when you push your hand through water). I remember cursing when it suddenly changed direction. It flew faster than anything I have seen in the sky, and it did not obey the laws of gravity or momentum. The weirdest part—that still haunts me—is that it made no noise. It flew overhead in a matter of seconds, and changed direction in ~15 degree increments about four times before leaving sight. For a moment I hesitated. Then, my partner and I started talking over each other. “What was that? A bird? No, right? It was transparent. Light was cascading off of it. It changed directions!” Within 15 minutes we were both trying to pretend nothing happened. “Nobody would believe us” was my first thought, and my partner basically lost interest in trying to have conversations about it. The lack of noise and observable detail prevented any guess as to its size or altitude, but subjectively it seemed like a plane that had taken off a few minutes before.

That’s basically my entire report—I need to get some rest before work tomorrow—but, my partner and I do believe whatever we saw was entirely real (although unrealistic). It looked like a hologram or CGI, and I think it will have a massive impact on my life for the next several years at least.

I am now a believer!

Never thought I'd be on here writing this in my entire life, but here I am.

I usually work overnights starting my shift at 11:00PM I walked out my front door around 10:22 PM waiting for my uber thought i saw something moving in the sky towards me, I looked up and right above me zoomed by a triangular shaped craft that had dim yellow lights trailing on both left and right edges of the craft on the underside, it passed right over my house, I would say about 1000-1500 feet above me, it was incredible to have seen, not scary at all but just mystifying and humbling to know that all the other people who reports such things are not crazy like i thought i was.

Strange bright lights seen in Ohio skies by Orion's Belt.

On Dec 20 2017 my dogs were acting like they heard something outside so I let them out and looked to see what had them wanting to go out. I saw nothing in the yard. As I waited on the dogs I looked up at the sky to look at the stars and to the left of Orion's Belt in the northeastern skyline, I saw two very bright lights, much brighter then all the stars in the sky, moving very slow. At one point they stopped for a long time. They stayed in the same spot for several minutes looked to be at least 10,000 feet high off the ground. There was no sound coming from them. At times they looked to change shape and color changing from white to green and back to white. They also would blink and at times white straight lines would come out of it going in all directions around it. Jets were seen at different times and could be heard 3 times. At this point I had my wife come over and look to see if she could see what I was seeing in the sky to the east of our home. We used bo! th a small telescope and a hunting rangefinder. The telescope didn't work well but with the rangefinder the lights were seen very well. They looked to be blinking white and green kind of like fireworks and a round bright white light circled one of the objects several times and then vanished. Knowing I had never seen this before I wanted to get it on film so I grabbed my phone so I could get it on film. Strange thing with my eyes I could see both but with camera only one would show up. I also took a short video. The one to the left vanished. It was a very quiet night and no sound could be heard except when the jets were seen. Later on when watching the video a strange sound could be heard at times. something like a pulsing sound. Also when examining the photographs two triangle shapes can be seen with a grey shape below them. The whole event lasted about 20 minutes.

light, non-blinking, solid, fast, trajectory towards the ground

Driving home from work on route 16 heading towards Assembly Row and a ball of light, non-blinking shot across the sky and towards the ground. Lasted 2 seconds and very very fast. It was a normal light color and i dont know how far it really was but i know it was way too fast to be a plane becasue planes fly higher up with the blinking lights and dont go as fast as this was moving. It happened in a blink of the eye and the way i was facing it went from my right across to the left and looked like it was heading to crash into the ground but i didnt see where it landed, too far away from where i was

Small bright object falling from the early evening sky after seemingly breaking apart in the lower atmosphere.

Walking outside at 17:00 to dinner with family, looked up at the rising moon and noticed a bright object just to the left—looking exactly like a planet (size and brightness). On our walk to the car (about 100 yards) we looked up again. The object was now higher in the sky than above, which doesn’t make sense if it was a planet. Once we reached the car the brightness had diminished significantly. It actually looked to have disappeared…but upon closer focus there seemed to be multiple objects, smaller and dimmer.

Luckily, I had a pair of 10x40 binoculars in the car. We got those out as quickly as possible and focused on the spot where the object(s) originally existed. This is when I noticed what looked like debris in the area where the object was originally. The largest “piece” of what was originally there started to fall toward earth. I shared the use of the binoculars with my wife. She verified that the object was there and falling toward earth. We kept watching until it vanished from our view.

Unidentified object hovering in Somerville, MA.

On July 31st @ 5:31 pm I was coming out of Home Depot in Somerville, MA, when I looked up and saw something hovering in the sky that I did not recognize. I took a quick video and some pictures and because I did not have time to spare, I headed home. The object made no noise, and just hovered. It was up in the sky to far to be a kite and if it was a drone it appeared to me it would have the capability of holding passengers. The shape was not an airplane, helicopter or kite The pictures need to be rotated (they are sideways. Picture #3 gives good perspective of distance and size of object. Not sure how to convert video but I can text it.

looking at stars on clear night... Then saw a light circling rather quickly, in a horisontal strobe, making a big circle. I only it flashing past the white clouds as it passed by them, I saw nothing against the dark sky, only as it circled back around to hit the white clouds. I saw no beam originating from anywhere. It quickly circled around many times, in a perfect circle.

When the clouds floated away, I no longer saw the light....very strange, never saw anything like this before.

3 Objects with lights, spotted in triangular formation while driving on RT 287

Some very close friends of mine were driving (leaving Somerville). We were on RT 287, coming towards Piscataway.

My friend who was sitting in the passenger seat spotted spotted a triangular form shaping with three circular light objects and so did I. They didn't look like planes or helicopters (as so her husband thought) but as soon as we looked the circular light at the tip of the triangular formation was moving fast and away!

We realized, as we kept driving, we saw them again, but only two this time and they seemed to be close, and I'm sure that no helicopter or plane would look at that close!!! I'm not sure, but they were bigger, so that means they were closer.

I know what lights look like and those weren't lights, but there was a light that covered what seemed to be fast moving objects. It had like a glow so to speak.
It scared the living crap out of me!!!

UFO birds suddenly increase in numbers from 15 to 74

On October 18, 2014, I witnessed a strange sight in the sky over Somerville, AL. I was at an equestrian event with our daughter and lunch was around 11:30 am.

As I was making my way to the serving area, I was taking in the beautiful, clear blue sky. Looking north, toward Huntsville, AL, I noticed what immediately struck me as a group of 15 white orbs meandering from west to east. They reminded me very much of the many photos I’ve seen of such orbs, meaning that they are sort of strung out in a line, and spaced up and down, in no particular pattern.

As they moved, they would sometimes be strung out in a long line, and then form into the usual “V” of a migrating flock of birds, then string back out again. Also, while they appeared to be migrating to the east, they slowed, stopped, and started “milling about,” like they decided to stay in one spot, as if riding a thermal.

I went and got my camera (which I was using to shoot the equestrian event), and upo! n zooming in, I could see they looked like birds, albeit, none I had ever seen.

As I watch, I was struck by the feeling that while they appeared to be birds, they were not. First, they were so bright, and stark white against the sky. The individual ones did not have that shimmery look, like one would expect if the wings were flapping. I do remember that they would vary a little in brightness, and in looking at a zoomed-in image, I see they are white, in general, with dark trailing wing edges. The objects moved together, much like a school of fish. There was no apparent random motion of one object with respect to another. They all moved in unison and seemed to be riding a thermal. Their altitude, or range from my camera never changed, at least not to my eye. After I had shot 34 images in about a minute (to get some clear images for later study), I stopped shooting and watched a bit more. My observation was that the brightness of the “flock” would decrease then increase. Studying the sight and my images, I think it was because they were quite wh! ite, but when going away from me, the dark stripes on their wings would be toward me, decreasing the apparent brightness. As I was watching them “mill about” and darken and lighten, it suddenly appeared that there were a LOT more objeccts. I never observed another flock in the sky, nor saw one merge in. It was just that when going from darker to lighter, there were just more that appeared.

I put the camera back on them, and fired off more images. You can look at my images DSC_6044 and DSC_6045, which were taken 14 seconds apart. As you can see, there were a LOT more objects in the second, (and subsequent) image. In looking at the images, the ‘flock” increased from 15 to around 74 within seconds, as I was watchinge. I don’t know where they came from, they just appeared. I quit firing shots after a while, figuring they were birds, and that I just somehow missed the other huge grouping of birds joining the original group. I don’t remember if, from here, they kind of faded out of view, or if they disappeared while I went about my business of getting lunch, but the “birds” eventually were gone.

About 2 or 3 hours later, we were done and headed for home. As we got to the intersection of Hwy 36 and 231, in Lacey’s Spring, AL, about 5 miles from the event, I again saw the same formation just north of my location, toward Huntsville, and closer, this time. I called my wife, who was driving in the car in front of me, and she was able to see the same thing (she had not seen the original sighting). Determined to get more, but closer shots, I watched both the road and the formation, until we got about a 1/2 to 3/4 miles closer to Huntsville, and found a good pull-off, with a broad view of the sky. When I got out of the car, the objects were gone, vanished. I looked and looked, both with my eyes, and through the camera, but could not see them. That was it.

When I got home, I looked at my images on the computer. Zooming in, they did look like birds, and after doing some research, decided that I had seen a flock of migrating pelicans. However, Huntsville, AL, is hundreds of miles from the ocean and any migratory path that I could research, and no one that I know has ever seen a pelican in town. I totally forgot about the whole sighting after that.

On Sunday 8-30-15, almost a year later, after reading the book “Messages”, by Stan Romanek, I was thinking through several past sighting experiences, and suddenly remembered this "bird" event (which I had totally forgotten about – odd). I did some Googling of “UFO Birds” and found some very informative links which showed exactly the same “birds”, in Mexico! The people who had that sighting went through the exact same though process on identification, and came up with the same results I did (pelicans). While it is somewhat plausible, pelicans do not exactly match what I saw or the behavior I observed. For me, this sighting is unexplained.

they seemed to almost float or move in what looked like a few feet in my distance.. the craft.. was round shape.. had a main light in the middle and what looks like 7 more smaller lights around it.. could be more it far away and very bright. and there is a small red light blinking once and a while in the middle section.. this is very odd I never seen anything like this in my life I am watching it go on right now... im trying in my back yard.. I wish I had a good camera.. I really hope someone else see this beside me and my fiancé.. who lives in Framingham with is 35 miles away and she sees the same... I had to call her at 3am and tell her to wake up with our 4 month baby and loot at it.. I also woke up parents sister.. and even called the police so they could witness it also... this is great.. I swear there is interegent live out there. please let someone else I dnt know also see this.. please..

4 glowing orange orbs paired off in twos and moving sequentially before fading into the night sky

I stepped onto my porch a little past 1am on September 21st, and immediately noticed 4 glowing orange circular orbs -- all noticeably larger, and brighter than stars, and headed eastward. They were paired off in twos. The first pair swarmed toward and then away from each other in a very succinct manner. They were glowing brighter than their neighboring pair. The second pair was to the left, and lower in the sky than the first pair, but they were all in the same vicinity. The brighter pair started to fade and eventually disappeared into the night sky. The second pair grew brighter when the first pair first started to fade. They were interacting in the same manner as the first pair -- almost like a well rehearsed dance between partners. They too started to fade and after a few more seconds faded completely into the night. The whole sighting lasted about 30-40 seconds.

I was on the patio with a friend in Somerville. It was a crisp night and we were in a relatively quiet neighborhood. A blue and green disc-like object floated down, there was no noise so we were confused as to what it was. We assumed it was far away because of the lack of noise. But when it stopped moving, we realized it was only about a mile away from us, and then hovered for around 3 minutes mid air. The colors were emitted by a light that encompassed the entire craft, and it seemed like an aura and not light beams. It then lowered towards the ground out of our sight. There was no noise coming from this object when it was lowering. We were still on the patio 40 minutes later when a helicopter ascended from the same area. However, the difference was that we could hear the helicopter as it was taking off and for the rest of the duration it was in the area. The lights on the helicopter were colored red and yellow, and it was clear to what it was.

White orb with multi-colored lights.

About 21:00 in late 2012, after returning home from a movie, I and a friend noticed a white orb hovering behind my house, as we pulled into my driveway. The distance was roughly 3/4 a mile away, the exact location of the object was about 50-80ft above the ground, and about roughly 34°27'25.8"N 86°40'56.9"W.

I went to my truck and got a pair of binoculars, and upon a closer look, the object appeared to be a white orb with multi-color pulsating light orbiting the main object. There was no sound and no odd smells or conditions.

My estimate of the size (since I am very well with the that exact area) I would say it was about the size of a small/compact car.

We observed the object for about 30 minutes and the we went inside.

I tried taking pictures of the object but my camera wouldn't focus on it.

3 Round orbs orange/orangey red in color hovering over central NJ

3 Round orbs orange/red in color hovering over central NJ Shortly after midnight on the morning of March 24th I witnessed 3 orb shaped objects to the west while walking my dog. The objects hovered in place and pulsated between a orange and orangey red color like a fireball. At first they appeared still and were in a formation of three across, with the one to the far left appearing to the be slightly larger then the other two. To estimate they were a few thousand feet in the air but appeared to be much larger and brighter then a plane would at this altitude. It was a quiet and clear night and these craft were silent making no engine noise. Had this been a plane or helicopter at that altitude they would have been close enough to hear engine or propeller noise.

I stopped to watch because it was strange how they were staying in place. I watched for about a minute when the object on the right began moving down and to the right of the other objects. It moved a good distance away before it came to a stop and hovered in that spot. They other two objects stayed in the same general location but would move around each other always keeping the same distance apart from one another.

At this point I went inside and got my wife to come outside and witness what I was looking at. She joined me on the front lawn and we continued to watch them for several more minutes.

The object on the far right began to move to the right and then made a change in direction and moved up and to the left, appearing to be far above the other two objects. They remained in this formation for the most amount of time, the entire duration of this event was about 7 minutes. The objects came back together in a three across formation again and the object on the right began to dim in brightness. As it dimmed it began to move to the north, it appeared just as a faint point of light moving north until it vanished from view. As it moved away from the formation the middle object followed suit and dimmed in brightness and moved to the north in the same direction as the first object. The third object remained for about 30 seconds to a minute after the other two objects were gone from view. Then same as the other two dimmed in brightness and followed the same direction to the north.

While celebrating New Years Eve, My friend and I heard fireworks. When we went to the window to look, we saw 3 orange and yellow in color oval shaped objects moving sideways when one went behind the other looking like there was only 2 objects, then seamingly that one either slowed down or the other sped up making the 3rd object visable again. While we watched 3 more orange and yellow in color oval objects appeared. They were not airplanes or helicopters, because there was no noise.

On the night of June 6, 2011, approximately around 11:31 am ((sic. pm)) i saw 2 distinct white colored lights fly over my house. It was a crystal clear night not a cloud in sight.

Now just to let u know Newark airport is about 30 min from my house. I see planes fly over my house all the time. These were further up and flew side by side with each other for about a minute or so then faded out.

Now being a constant observer of the sky, i can tell these weren't planes or satellites cruising around. I know for a fact this was something unexplainable.

Two months ago i saw a shooting star fly across the sky. Immidiately after i saw the same similar lights. 1 flew east after that 1 flew west within 30 seconds of each other. A coincidence im not sure. All i can say it's just something i can't explain.

Out of all the footage i've seen between the news,you tube, and nasa footage. I can truly say we are not alone in this universe.

I truly believe that one day we will have proof and contact with our distant friends from places far away.

NJ UFO?

Waiting for my daughter to come out of the Motor Vehicle in Somerville NJ, I just started cloud watching. After a few minutes, I saw, what I thought was a high flying plane or bird. I was amusing myself watching it go in and out of the clouds. Sometimes it never left the cloud it was in, which is what really made me pay attention.

It was flying up and down and forward, never backward. I tried to capture the image on my camera but there was bright sunlight and it was causing too much of a glare.

A short time later, a plane was behind it.. almost following. A regular craft. There was a marked difference in the way this one was flying in comparison to the first one. That's what made me think this was a UFO....then they both disappeared. I found this odd because we aren't that far from Newark Airport in NJ

My dad and I were in the hottub. We were looking at the moon and saw a grayish sguare and oval shape. It was going across the sky fast. There were no lights on it or flashing. It was probly about 1,000 yards or(3,000 feet). It did not make any noise.

2 spherical lights in the northwest sky

Facing northwest, about half way up the sky, I viewed a hazy white object that seemed to have two spheres attached or were close together. It was quite large and easily visible with the naked eye. At first, I thought it was a plane coming through a cloud, with its two wing lights on. But it was a totally clear night. And object(2) also did not move for at least 5 minutes. I left my house for a few hours, and when I checked at around midnight in the same place in the sky, the light was gone..

Large green light blurs across the night sky in populated NJ area. UFO or spacegarbage, either way it was an awesome sight.

The object was a rather large streak of green light that flashed half way across the sky. It had to have been seen by a bunch of people because it was somewhere over somerville NJ, which has a big population. I was driving on 202 heading inside of somerville when the event occured. It was in the sky directly above the road. Anyone who was driving at around 10:00 on 202 had a great chance of seeing it. It was pretty high up, but awfully big and bright enough that it grabbed my attention. The driver in front of me even slammed on the brakes for a second. But as quick as it came it also left. The flash of green which had streaks of yellow and blue behind it only was around for about maybe two seconds. It was pretty intense. Im guessing that it probably was a piece of falling space garbage. Or something like that. But the thing that bothered me was the size of it. It was a rather large green blur of light. And also that afterwords i saw a pair of helicopters in the area. This may not be related to anything that happened (whatever it was), but who knows. Plus the idea that it could have been a UFO is a pretty neat. I believe in them. And I sure wouldn't throw out a ufo sighting as the source of the odd green lightstreak. Im wondering if anyone has any further information on this possible sighting, there was nothing in the papers on monday or tuesday. Maybe someone knows a bit more about it.

Bright Globe Circles House

I woke up on my couch at aproxamitly 1:00 in the morning and I couldn't breath, and I could not move my body. As I looked up thruogh the window I saw a large globe of light that was aproxmitly 10 feet in diameter, glowing very brighyly. Soon the globe started to circle the house, and then somthing was following the globe. The object following the globe was just a black streak of some sort. After thirty miniutes the globe left and I regained movment and breathing.

the 3 of us were sitting out in my pool listening to the near by fireworks. i was looking up at the stars when i noticed on begin to move. it was at equal distance in relation to the near by stationary stars but this one began to move. i quickly brought it to my 2 friends attention to confirm that i was not seeing things. they to saw it slowly move to the right, there was no streak of light or sound. it moved very slow and at a straight angle, then it just disappeared, it didn't fade away or go behind a cloud it just vanished. Seveal minutes later as we began disguessing what we saw, an enormous helicopter flew over my house with its search lights on, it flashed my house with it and continues on towards the direction in which we saw the object.

**see summary for description** the only other thing i can add is that the light was the size of a star, it was white/orange colored and moved in the straight fashion of a controlled craft would do.

What do you do with a guy from another planet?

This my UFO story. I’ve told it through the years usually starting with: had I had a camera I could have made a movie.

It started with my best friend ((male name deleted)) and I returning to his house, after having worked at his stepfather’s gas station. I was 15, and it was November of 1970, I believe.

Upon exiting the car with ((male name deleted) and his family (step-father, mother, sister and brother) we were all startled by a flash of light. Like a photo being taken. We each thought it had come from a different direction.

Not thinking too much of it, ((male name deleted)) and I decided to go to a nearby middle school to swing on the flagpole rope just for something to do. After a few turns we both stopped to rest at the base of the flagpole which was directly in the front of the school that was facing a busy two way road. Sitting back to back parallel to the school front, we both saw an arching blue light over the tops of the trees showing above the school from behind it. We both immediately said the same thing, “What was that”.

So we decided to investigate, making our way around the right side of the school via a blacktop road that went to the back playground area. As we started around the rear corner we were met with a loud, radio-like sound that grew very loud. We backed up to the front of the school until it faded away. We then again made our way around to the back, positioning ourselves against the brick wall at the rear.

The back of the schoolyard was situated with an expanse of green grass that extended about 150 yards to the edge of the woods. The blacktop we were on went about 20 yards to the lawns edge, with a basketball hoop and a streetlight at the edge. This was occurring at night so the streetlight made seeing the treeline a little difficult. But as we watched we could see a figure moving from the path in the woods to the left. When we yelled to ask who it was, it stopped, didn’t say anything and then continued on. We then saw the figure move back to the right and go back into the path. Then at one point we saw two figures moving in opposite directions along the treeline. Both stopping when we yelled, and then moving again.

At this point we were wondering who was going through the woods when we saw a UFO come from our right, above the woods, stopping to the left side of the wooded area at the back of the field. It stopped and hovered above the wood and then moved silently towards our left rear. Then we saw another follow the same route. When I looked to my 2:00, which was in the direction of downtown Somerville, I could see a distinct “ceiling” of clouds that were reflecting the light from the downtown business area. It lit the bottom of the clouds creating a clear line of site below them. I could then see one and then two of the UFOs moving between these clouds and the below skyline. They moved slowly and silently towards us and the woods. They would each stop briefly and then again circle back and to our left. While watching this sequence, counting four or five UFOs (unless we double counted them) one of the UFOs, after stopping above the wooded area and at which point it should have moved ou! t to our left/rear, moved slowly and directly toward ((male name deleted)) and me. All the while ((male name deleted)) and I were confirming that we were both witnessing the same things as they occurred. The UFO made its way toward us, not making a sound, until it stopped just above us. It was approximately 40 to 50 feet above us and to our front. It stopped there. We could make out the webbing on the portals or windows and with confirming with ((male name deleted)), we both realized it was observing us. It stayed there for what seemed like a full minute or so and then slowly moved up and again to our rear left shoulder, continuing on its pattern.

At this point, having been frightened out of our wits, it occurred to me that we should get other witnesses. We saw the house to the West (our right) just beyond the gate at that side of the blacktop. We went to the door and knocked, prepared to request that the residents come out and see what was going on. No one answered. At that we decided to go to ((male name deleted)) house, about six blocks from there and get a camera. We decided to take the chance that they would be gone when we got back.

When we arrived at ((male name deleted)) house, we searched for a camera and couldn’t find one that ((male name deleted)) said they had. Instead all we could find was a pair of binoculars that happened to be there. It was cold (November) and I needed to borrow a jacket so ((male name deleted)) lent me his father’s biker leather jacket.

We made our way back and put ourselves again with our backs against the brick wall of the school and waited to see what was still happening. We were there for a few minutes and didn’t see anything. So we decided to move forward toward the grass field and get closer to the treeline 150 yards or so from the edge of the blacktop. As we moved forward, ((male name deleted)) let out a shout, “Did you see that?!” I nearly jumped out of my skin. I ask him about what he’d seen and he said, “That guy was running and he stopped as soon as I shouted.” Apparently whatever it was had been running inside the thin woods to the East and our left, and had come into view as we cleared the L-shaped part of the school building.

At first when I looked I didn’t see any movement. As we moved toward the object it appeared to me, and I said to ((male name deleted)), to be light from a window shining though the wooded area. It was a light Orange/White color with thin saplings and tall grass in front of it. ((male name deleted)) insisted that it had been running right up to the second he shouted. So we moved up to about 15 feet from it and I could make out a figure. It appeared to be a tall, thin man with a large head, a black stripe where the nose was and a black slit for a mouth. He appeared to be crouched as if to leap in any direction. I tried to discern if what I was seeing was my imagination and still just light from a window. We then remember the binoculars we had. So looking up directly at him with the binoculars, it was as if someone had punched me in the eyes. I looked directly into his face! He wasn’t looking directly at me. I looked him over and saw that he had a square black something on his chest. He appeared to be wearing s! omething with a collar similar to our astronaut’s suits. After a half a minute I decided to try and get his attention. I yelled out. “Hey” loudly. He very quickly turned his face and looked directly at me! Again it was as if someone had punched me in the eyes. ((male name deleted)) asked to look and as he raised the glasses to his eyes he let out a “oohh” sound and pulled the binoculars from his eyes. ((male name deleted)) gave the glasses back to me and we watched for a few minutes. I then said something that embarrassed me, “We mean you no harm.” I felt silly after saying that and didn’t try to communicate again.

After a time we started hearing a coughing sound coming from him. I suggested that he might be having trouble breathing. As I watched him, he slowly started to move away from us when a dog from the other side of the wood started barking. He returned to his crouching middle position. I don’t know why at that point but I suggested to Glen that we leave him alone. ((Male name deleted)) agreed. So we turned and started back to our position on the schoolhouse wall. As we made our way around the L and the Alien was out of view, like a B-grade movie, a police car pulled around the corner of the school and drove up to us. There were two officers in the car. Of course they wanted to know what we were doing in the back of the school at night. We tried to tell them that there was a “guy from another planet” (again feeling ridiculous) around the corner but they decided to check out our pockets. Unknown to me was that in ((male name deleted)) father’s jacket, which had very deep pockets, were many books of matches. Great, now we looked like we were up to something with fire. But they believed me when I told them it was a borrowed jacket. They then wanted to know what we were talking about. We said we’d show them. So they followed us in their car as we walked back around the L-shaped wing to the East (left) and as we did I said to ((male name deleted)), “Now you KNOW he’s not going to be there.” It just felt like that would be in keeping with the impossibility of everything else that had occurred. Sure enough he was gone. The officers got out of their car and I described to them what happened. One scoffed and said we were high or something but the one next to me swallowed in the classic gulping way you do when you’re scared.

They got back in their car, drove into the field shining their light on the thin wooded area briefly and turned around and yelled for us to get out of the area and drove off. We then left as told.

To this day I often think of what may have happened had we lingered for no more than two minutes more with the alien. The police would have continued to our position and been witnesses with us. No telling what would have happened at that point. It truly haunts me to this very day.

((male name deleted)) died last year. In the very infrequent contact we had over the years we always included our memory of that night. For a time right afterwards I experienced what I now know as PTSD. ((male name deleted)) was a good drawer and drew the alien in school one day and it sent me back into a brief shock. Later that year, to make legitimacy even more strained, the National Enquirer was offering $10,000 for photographic proof of UFOs. On the cover of one of their issues, taking up the right edge top to bottom, was our guy. Perfectly him. I have since tried to get a copy of it but can’t find it. I think it may be in the Library of Congress, but it isn’t available online as yet. I hope to get a copy and frame it and hang it in my office. He was apparently at the time the most often seen alien.

((male name deleted)) and I at the time knew that as time went on we would ourselves start to doubt what happened. But it did. I often wish I could write it off to imagination or something else. But it happened.

That’s my story. Not many people I know have had an alien trapped (or at least restricted) and then inexplicably let him go. I would have done things differently today but perhaps that wouldn’t work out as well as it did. But had I understood the gravity of what was happening I certainly would have tried something differently. Just another thing that haunts me.

By the way, I’ve since gone on to earn a B.A. in Psychology and I am a devout Christian. I have neither the desire to deceive or mislead anyone. This is the absolute truth.

We Had An Alien Trapped!

After a week of multiple sightings throughout town we (my best friend and I), who were skeptical, decided after work to swing on the rope of a flagpole in front of a local school. We were 15 and bored.

After swinging for a few minutes we stopped to rest at the base of the pole, back to back, when we saw over the top of the schoolhouse, just above the shadow of the wooded area immediately behind the playground in back of the school, a blue ball/light which curved down to the treetops and disappeared. When we investigated we were witness to a craft hovering above the woods where the light disappeared. It silently made it's way over our left shoulders, which were backed against the brick backed school building. With a low cloud cover toward the downtown area, which reflected the city lights, we could see 3-4 more ships slowly circling toward and then stopping above the same area. They seemed to be patrolling the area around and above the woods. After a time we could make our a figure walking along the edge of the woods on the other side of the large yard making up the playground. We could barely make it out but it stopped every time we called out. As we continued to watch the circling ships one suddenly made it's way toward us. Frozen against the wall and unable to move from fear, it was right in front of us about 50 feet in the air above and immediately in front of us. We could see the windows surrounding it and lights moved in a circular motion as the illuminated each window. There was absolutely no sound made. We were sure they were going to do something but it just slowly lifted and again made it's way over our left and over the school building out of site.

After awhile we decided to move up closer to the yard from the building. As we moved forward we cleared a part of the school to our left that jutted out and my friend alerted me to someone running to our left. I forgot to mention that during the initial sightings of the ships we ran back to my friend's house to get a camera. His family actually didn't have one but we were able to find a pair of binoculars. That and a borrowed leather jacket for me that belonged to his father were all we could return with. As we walked toward the figure that was running, which had stopped at my friend's alert/shout, it became clearer that it was one of the aliens from the ships. He was tall and thin and was a light orange/white and appeared to have a suit with a black square on the chest. And a collar that appeared to be for a helmet or something. He was poised to jump as we approached. We were within 25 feet of him when we remembered we had the binoculars. When I lifted them to my eyes it was as if someone punched me in the eyes. I looked directly into his face. My friend's reaction was much the same. After I called out to him his face turned into us and he looked directly at me as I looked through the glasses. When I called out with "we mean you no harm" I felt silly saying that and was embarrassed. After about 20 minutes of holding him there, he started to make coughing sounds and a whistle of some kind. We decided to let him go as we didn't know what else to do. We backed away and (no kidding) as we cleared around the blocking part of the school, a police car came toward us from where we'd first started. As they approached we just knew the alien would no longer be there. The police (two of them) stopped us and asked us what we were doing behind the school and we told them about the alien. They first searched us, our pockets and such and of course my friend's father's jacket had a bunch of matches deep in one pocket I didn't even know were there. We did convince one of them we were telling the truth and they agreed to accompany us to the site. As we rounded the blocking part of the school we could see he was gone. The police, to their credit, did go up into the yard and shine their spotlight into the woods that edged that side of the playground. The alien had been standing just inside that thin line of woods that went up the left side of the school to the main woods that ran left to right.

The sightings that the whole town had seen, including my mother and sisters, claimed there were three craft with one appearing in trouble and two on either side of it following. We surmised through the years that they were maybe repairing that craft in the woods and we happened there.

If we had a camera, especially a video camera (not common then) we could have made a feature movie! This is all 100% true. By the way, to make matters worse (for our credibility) the National Enquirer was on a UFO kick and had along one whole length of the front page an exact picture of our guy! Unbelievable. But absolutely true.

When I hear of regular sightings I just think, "wow, if they'd seen what I saw!" Thanks for letting me tell someone.
