Very large oval ball the same color of the mixed gray and white clouds

It was raining off and on that day. It was very hot. I was on my way to Sturgis from Rapid City, via freeway to attend a patriot convention and concert. The time was early evening somewhere between 5-7pm. Headed westbound on the freeway straight ahead there were beautiful, dark green mountains and just slightly to the right of center of my vision if looking straight ahead while driving; I saw a huge globe of cloudy white move straight upward. It appeared it had come off of the ground and straight up into the clouds that were hanging kind of low due to the storms that were off and on. The color was the exact same color as the stormy clouds. They weren't black or dark gray. They were light gray and white. I knew that this large ball could sit right in the clouds just above all of us completely hidden. It disappeared as soon as it hit the clouds. This ball was so large that from the distance I was to it it seemed that if I were standing upon it it would be to me looking up at a hot air balloon. Big. I feel it was larger than a hot air balloon since I was so far
away. It wasn't exactly spherical and it wasn't exactly oval. It was both. Just a tad off. It had a very soft look to it. No rough edges and no lights. If it was exactly spherical then it could've been something malleable ( might be the wrong word for this) that as it lifted the force from doing so would pull it out of shape a little. Like pulling a water filled balloon and see it change shape and extend a little. It was horizontally oval. The curvature of the freeway took me to the mountainside then being on my left and I remember thinking that this was about where that thing lifted from the ground. I tried to look over at the green, beautiful mountains to see if I could see any kind of doorways into the ground or hidden in the mountain by chance. I looked to the right and saw a patrol officers cruiser lights on. They were pulled off to the right side of the road in a little half moon pull off area from the freeway. Another car was also there. Not sure of someone had broken down or was getting pulled over. I would like to know of there were any other reports. It was daylight. There is no way I am the only one that saw it. It was too big.

My friend and I arrived at Clearwater Lake for a fishing trip. I noticed a capsule shaped silver colored object across the lake in the western sky approximately 500 yards away. It was stationary for a few minutes while we unloaded the boat. As we began our take off it began to move toward the north. As we headed up the lake it continued that direction until it was out of sight. Never heard a sound as from any engine nor did I observe any way for the craft to move.

Observed the object with naked eye and through telescope. The object never moved even though there were windy conditions and a storm approaching. Photographed the object with iPhone through my telescope. Watched the object for over 40 minutes until it finally vanished. Never seen anything like this before.

Very erratic bright white light traveling south.

One bright light that at first glance looked to be a star, then noticed it was moving fairly quickly. Movement became very erratic, perhaps twice the width of the light itself, several times per second. Viewed for 15-20 seconds, then went behind tree line. Was unable to locate again after entering vehicle to floow. Looked to be at great height to the east, as viewed from just west of Clearwater Lake, and traveling south.

Pulsing light in day sky that made un-man made craft movements before lighting up and vanishing.

While driving down I85 south, I saw a bright light with no clouds in the sky. I assumed the object was a man made aircraft with sun reflecting off the metal surface. The object then began to pulse bright light and made a jerky movement before glowing extremely bright and vanishing. As said before, there were no clouds in the sky for the object to be hidden behind.

5 bright erratically objects moving in all directions at once , 1 with a large perfect circle around it dancing erratically .

Two adults star gazing ! bright roundish shape light ,starts dancing erratically. Then another on the right, coming toward it got brighter,Stop evenly distance and both were dancing erratically, and then a third on the left, not quite as bright, but all three lined up,darting back and forth. there was lightning and we could see like a round orb around the first middle one . Then after aprox.30 mins. of dancing back and forth and up and down they started to fade out as if moving ,suddenly we spotted another, just like them dancing crazy all over, completely apart from them to the the far right of the sky, and then another to the far left of it, acting the same ,they to were moving in all directions,seemed to have a blueish has with those two and then they as well faded . while all of this commotion going on we seen four shooting stars ,one was so bright it looked as if it would stay lit and land in the lake. but burnt out,completely,we had night vision gogg! les with batteries , we stood there and just put them in, it went dead. Could not get it to turn back on. a beautiful light show. lightning was far off ,but present. This was clearly not planes ,and i have never seen satellites so close to each other moving in a formation together in all directions

I was outside and looked up at the moon and noticed what looked like a bright star meandering west to east. I thought maybe it was a satellite catching the rising sun, but it started moving laterally to its direction of motion. Maybe a balloon, but it was a bit early for that... Object maintained movement direction, but occasionally stopped and hovered, then continued on its way. At one point I looked away and had difficulty relocating the object, but finally caught a glimpse of a very tiny dot that then seemed to disappear in a whisper of smoke. Very strange, especially given its luminosity. Probably a shiny balloon but felt compelled to report. The longer I looked the more floaters appeared in my eyes, so it became pretty futile.

Strange items in the air.

As we drive down the highway, we see anywhere from 1-10 items flying up, left, right and disappearing and repearing. Although it could have been a plane, we watched to make sure it wasn’t and the entire time we stayed and watch we could not make it out as any planes. The direction is was flying wasn’t consistent with normal flying planes, they would fly towards one another glow and disappear and again repeat throughout us witnessing.

red/orange fireball silently moving from west to east at Bluffview camp grounds, clearwater lake.

We were camping at Bluffview, on Clearwater lake. Around 9:45pm I was standing on site C18 with my friend facing north.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a orange glow to tne west of me. The light was much larger than those on a plane, or helicopter. It was completely silent, traveling from my 9 to about my 1 o'clock.

Just before it disappeared from view I was able to point it out to my wife who was heading back from the showers, and other campers on site c19 to the north of us.

I looked at it with my binoculars for about 20 seconds mid way thru the sighting, its center was bright yellow like a 60 watt light bulb with a orange/red blur surrounding it.

Almost before it disappeared from sight its flight became erratic and then it was gone.

Many bright orange glowing lights just over the horizon&behind the mountains, near the dam@Clearwater Lake in Missouri(CRAZY!!)

Seen a very bright glowing orange glowing light just over the mountains that came on like a spotlight,then fade out. Immediately 100ft from that spot the same orange light appeared ,then disappeared. Then around a mile to the left,one orange light appeared thenwas gone.2 more immediately appeared then were gone.About a min. later a little more than a mile back right 1 appeared then was gone,then within a few feet 1 more appears then another 1 and they were gone. About 5 mins. later the craziest thing I ever seen, over the lake now all in the sky there were 10 different lights total that just kept appearing one after another fading in and out there were trails on a few of these. At this point I have chills running through my body.My friend was able to get a picture while I was running around freaking out. Then it all stopped. I don't understand what I saw,but I now feel there is something out there! What, I guess I'll never know.

Stationary light with increasing brightness - then dimming and moving away to the west.

This object was stationary in the northern sky. Initially, it could be described as a bright star but almost immediately, the intensity increased exponentially. Then it faded to a point no brighter than the background stars and traveled west until it completely disappeared. It moved at the same velocity of a commercial jet but there were no beacons, strobes, or navigational lights of any kind. My first thought was that I had witnessed a meteor straight-on... it became extremely bright and then "burned out." But that would not explain the turn to the west and then the disappearance.

The second object was exactly like the first but was never bright. It followed a similar path again with no lighting that would identify it as a commercial aircraft. There were aircraft in the sky and it was easy to differentiate.

In early Nov.2004 while on a hunting outing I was pulling into a pasture near Piedmont KS. It was dark but the eastern horizon was starting to light up. As I was opening the gate I noticed a very bright light aprox. 10 degrees on the southern horizon. I recall thinking to myself that "Venus sure was bright this morning". As I drove south through the pasture (aprox 1/4 mile) to the spot I park my truck the light got even brighter and appeared to change colors so rapidly that I couldn't distinguish what color it was. I stopped the truck just before I reached my destination because even though the light didn’t appear to be moving there was a 200 ft high ridgeline 1/4 of a mile to the south of me and the light was getting very low on that horizon. I grabbed my 12x50 binoculars off the seat of the truck and opened up the door and braced myself between the open door and the cab to steady my position while I viewed the light. There was one small tree on that open h! illside and the light was slightly above and to the left of the tree. It was stationary and didn't move in relationship from the tree. It did however during the next ten or 15 minutes get very bright then dim. Several times it totally disappeared only to reappear in the same location a few minutes latter. Every time the light dimmed it would blink very rapidly. Through the glasses the light appeared to get larger and sort of pixilated as it got brighter. It also appeared to change colors but it did it so fast that I could not distinguish which color. I watched this for quite some time and was so fascinated by the event that I didn't remember that I had a video recorder in my hunting back pack. By this time the sky had brightened considerably and the light had disappeared. I got the camera out and was getting it ready when suddenly the light reappeared. I got a few seconds of video and managed to catch it getting brighter than dimming and the rapid blinking. I also zoomed i! n on the light for a few frames. It dimmed once again blinked ! and disa ppeared for good. It was bright enough by this time to see an object in the sky but nothing was there. I waited several minutes but saw nothing more of it so I decided to go hunting as planned. When I returned home and reviewed the video in slow motion I was quite surprised. It appears to me that instead of disappearing the light leaves upward at a 45 degree angle at a fast rate of speed. I've never seen anything like this and though I don't know what it was I do know that it wasn't a star, satellite, airplane, helicopter or balloon. I might add that I wasn’t planning to report this to anyone until several close friends who saw the video encouraged me to do so.

Several objects in sky - seemed to be twirling and flashing red - green - blue and white lights and would hover then very quickly move

We saw the Peter Jennings special and heard one converation that described something similar to what we witnessed. We saw lights flashing over the city approx 3 miles away from our home - my husband asked me to get the video camera and come out to see this - the objects were hovering at first and were flashing white - red - green - blue lights - one color at a time - and then the objects begain to move around the general area - some would hover then move quickly to another area and then they would hover - when some would move - they would move very quickly. I tried to contact the Calhoun County EMA but got an elderly woman and man and he said that he was not aware of any 'manuver's in the area but that he was only a volunteer.

We live 16 miles from Ft. McClellan Army Base and and also 25 miles from Amminston Army Depot - where a chemical weapons incinerator is located.

For the next several weeks - from time to time - we would see these same objects in the sky at night - I videoed the first ones we saw - approx one hour in length.

Also, I am not certain of the date - even the month - I will find the video tape and get the exact date and time and will forward that info on to you.

I told my mother, while we were driving down our gravel road at night,that I thought Venus was really bright. I looked away at something then went to try and find it again and study it.When i looked back I couldn't find any trace of it. I then saw two more appear over a field behind the trees and disappear again. Another appeared when we continued to look for them.It was very dark out and were a lot of stars. I found Venus and it wasn't nearly as bright as the lights. We also live very close to Clearwater Lake.

Classic inverted bowl shape with a periscope that extended underneath for observation

I was 8 years old when this happened. I got up in the middle of the night (around 3 AM)to grab a snack. The east-facing window of our house had the curtains open. I looked out the window and saw an orange light. I at first thought this was an airplane, but the light grew in size. (after thinking about this over the years, I believe it was coming closer and gave the appearance of growth) After about 5 sec of growing it stopped growing and the light switched off and the saucer appeared about 150 feet from me at house top level. I believe this was a switching of light sources from the saucer's different travel modes from motion to hovering. It was a classic inverted saucer shape with a dome on top and it had a bluish glow around it. I believe this glow was the result of it's propulsion sytem causing ionization in the surrounding atmosphere. As it hovered, a periscope came out from underneath and it pointed at me or the house and I saw (I think) a yellowish eye in the viewfinder staring at me. Apparently it did not want to be seen because as soon as it saw me it vanished. After thinking about this later, I believe it could of just switched all it's light producing sources off or sped off faster than the eye could see. It's likely the thing just hovered around our rural neighborhood for a few hours at housetop level observing at will after I fled in terror back to my sisters bedroom and jumped in her bed. I have read other accounts of saucers that looked like the one I saw and one account I read has the saucer using this device underneath it as a landing structure. It appears that this structure performs multiple functions for landing and periscope-like observations. It seems like a rather crude observation device as it seemed like a direct optical device like a telescope (I could see the being's eye through it)as opposed to a sophisticated electronic multi-spectral imaging system.

Grey entities sighted on numerous occasions on same farm since the 1850's

As Reported to ASD of Missouri MUFON by phone (the witness is now 96 years old and seems to be very sharp): "I live outside Piedmont, Missouri, on a farm that has been in the family since the 1850's. I lived there with my mother, father, grandmother, and siblings. When I was a kid, whoever was the youngest had to sleep on the sleeping porch of the house. None of us wanted to sleep there because the "little people" would visit and we were all afraid of them. I remember that my mother and grandmother told stories about the little grey people who visited the farm at night and that the stories were in the family since before the Civil War. One night in particular, when I was 10 years old, I was laying in bed on the porch and I saw a grey being with big eyes walk up to the window and look inside at me. I was frozen in fear. He just kept looking at me. The next thing I knew, there were three of them, all about 4' tall with no hair, big black eyes, small nose and mouth, and thin, standing next to my bed, and I remember thinking that I had no idea how they got inside. I was even more afraid and wanted to pull the covers up over my face but couldn't. I don't know what happened after that. The next morning I woke up and they were gone. They never appeared during the day, only at night. I never saw a craft of any type, but sometimes late at night we would hear a humming sound coming from the low depression area around the pond about 100 feet from the house, but never went to look to see what it was. I think we were afraid to. We also often saw small white balls of light in the yard and around the farm at dusk and after dusk but never knew what they were. The lights were about the size of a softball. The whole family was sure to be inside after dark and we just didn't play outside after dark - the older family members made sure we came inside and as I think back on this it must have been because of the little people who would "take" us. That is the term my mother and grandmot! her used - the would say that the little grey people would take us at night but always brought us back before morning. It was almost like talking about fairies or something magical that was our little secret. It was not something we spoke about to other people - we kept it to ourselves and still do to this day. I still see them sometimes, only inside the house where I sleep now. I see them come in late at night, usually around 3:00 a.m. but for some reason I just fall asleep and don't remember any interaction with them. I don't let anyone sleep on the porch, though. My children and grandchildren have also seen the grey people. We are not so afraid of them anymore, just look at them as being visitors rather than something that will harm us. I don't want any publicity or anyone to know who I am because they'll think I'm nuts, but I'm not. I may be old, but I am strong and take care of myself, and have all my faculties"
