Silent, bright sparkling white lights.

I was looking up at an aircraft fairly low going into Birmingham Airport. Then to the left of it I saw what seemed like a mirror ball moving fast heading to the north. No noise like on the aircraft heading into Birmingham, then it turned and came back heading south for approx 4 seconds then turned north again then after a few seconds disappeared, maybe obscured by clouds.

Was looking north observing an airplane coming from east to west at approx 25,000-30,000ft, 75° above elevation, surrounded by objects

They initially appeared to be a flock of geese much higher than the airplane, spread out in a horizontal, semi straight line. Within 2-3 seconds, enough time to get my binoculars, there were 5 or 6 round, oval object directly over and under the airplane. As they swarmed around the plane and it's contrail, they went from being dark and colorless, undefined in shape, to bright white, round and oval shaped. I began to look for neighbors who could witness this with me, biggest mistake of my life.. because they were gone when I looked back in their direction. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who seen this.

Noticed what appeared to be a paper lantern on the horizon south of Gardendale, AL. It had a bright center with a red/orange glow. The object moved across the sky south to north, silently at about the same speed as the ISS. It began to fade then went dark about 40° above the north east horizon.

Approximately at 0504 this morning I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and noticed a really bright light. I initially thought it was a star then I noticed it moving. After I started watching it I then noticed that there were 2 more objects sitting relatively close to the brighter one. I stated to move away from my apartment building to get a better look and the object started moving away from my sight and behind a tall group of pine trees. I positioned myself at an angle to continue observing the object when without sound it shot across the sky towards Huntsville. I turned to go back into my apartment when I realized threw light had returned at a much lower altitude and moved just above a tree line about 100 yards from where I was standing.

I told my wife about the sighting when she woke up.

This evening around 21:40 we were both outside smoking and saw a very similar object dancing around in the sky but it was much further away than the 3 I saw this! morning. This isn't a hoax or sham, nor is it an attempt for attention. I spent 10 years in the military and have seen some strange things out at sea but I have never really been an up close witness nor was I a solid believer until today.

Up to 9 Objects flying erratically and taking interest in several commercial planes. Birmingham, AL area

At around 19:45 central time I and my family were getting into our car preparing to go home after visiting my parents. I looked up and noticed a dim light that seemed to just be a high flying plane traveling northbound; but the object suddenly changed directions southbound. It did not turn it just changed direction from north to south. When I saw this I called my wife and parents over to see what I was seeing. As they were coming to see I turned on the video camera on my phone and began recording.

After the initial light several more appeared; up to 8 or 9 at one point. T hese lights were dim and looked like stars. They sped up and slowed down and made erratic course changes. Many times they traveled in a circular course; then would shoot off in a strait line. These objects would also in 2s or 3s travel toward a common point and when they reached the common point (all at the same time) they would all change direction away from each other.

Several times while watching these objects a plane would fly through the area of the sky where these objects were performing their maneuvers. When a plane would fly through the area the objects in front of the planes would quickly move away to the side and then change course and follow the plane. This happened at least 10 times. On one occasion I watched one object come up behind a plane for maybe 2 seconds, then moved beside the plane for maybe another 2 seconds and then speed around in front of the plane and quickly move off to the north.

At around 20:10 my wife, daughter and I drove up the road to see if we could see the objects better from another location. After arriving at a local Arbys and getting a few sodas we looked in the direction of the objects and were not able to see them. We then returned to my parent’s home where we could once again see the objects.

At 23:50 hours I reluctantly decided to return to my home so my wife and child could get some sleep. At this time there were still a few of the objects still flying around. I have to add that I have never seen anything like these objects nor had my wife or parents. I made 3 videos on my phone; they are not very good quality and are shaky, but they do show some of the lights and maybe they can be of some use.

My wife and oldest son were out on our porch,approx. 9:55pm.

Northwestern sky a light, odd shaped, like an egg. moving in a erratic pace, fast slow and seemed to move south, then north then south again, then north and then disappeared.

We have seen this light on several occasions before. Odd movement and no blinking lights would indicate that this is not a plane or helicopter. Each time the light moves towards our house, then turns and disappears.

I first noticed the object (only 1 object) on 10/11/08 - 10/13/08 between 8:30pm and 9:30pm. The object was sphere shaped and changed colors (blue, red & white). It moved rapidly up and down and from left to right sometimes it got much brighter. The background was the night sky. It was located in the southeastern sky from 10/14 through 10/15.

I didn't see the object on Thursday (10/16/08--probably because it was raining).

The object (only 1 object) was seen again on Friday (10/17/08) and looked to be in the northeast sky and the object is described as the one above. The time it was seen was approximately 11:45pm -1:20am.

The object was seen tonight (10/18/08)this time there were (2) both were located in the northern sky but one was further to the left than the other. The same shape, colors, brightness, up and down, from left to right and the erratic and rapid movement. This one was witnessed by my son.

All sightings were seen at night. I don't know if it could have been a weather balloon but it was something that didn't move like an airplane or helicopter.

UFO seen above Gardendale Alabama while driving on the interstate into work at 8:00 am.

I was driving into work at approximately eight o’clock in the morning, the morning of June 27th 2008. I was driving south on I-65 from Hayden Alabama down to Birmingham were I work and also have an apartment. As I was driving I noticed something off to my right, way off in the distance just sort of hovering above the trees. I describe it to my friends as if a giant man had a giant Frisbee turned on it’s side and flipping it up above the trees. It was on it’s side sort of spinning, it hovered for a second, then dropped like it was going to go back behind the trees, but as soon as it dipped down almost out of sight it came back up again hovered for a second again and began to rise slowly. At that point I drove behind a hill and couldn’t see it anymore, when I came out from behind the hill I looked for it but never saw it again.

In a maybe unrelated incident, a few nights before I saw this my cell phone signal went out for a few hours, between the about 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. I finally got in touch with my cell phone provider and the man on the phone told me that service was out from Texas through Virginia, which he further explained was an unprecedented phenomena and they couldn’t explain why.

Strange object over Alabama, cloudy and spherical in shape.

My brother and I and one of our friends were outside when I got home from work. They saw the object initially around 17:30 and claimed it to be much brighter than it was later on. They claimed the object moved erratically until it finally settled in an area straight up from our position. Initially, I thought the object was the recent comet that burst into a cloud as the object was cloudy with a prominent bright spot on the lower part of it. However, the comet shouldn't be as bright as this was nor was it in the right place... therein it wasn't the comet. Brother is a medical secretary, our friend is an aerospace engineering student, and I'm an advertising salesperson.

I was sitting at my computer, sitting close to my window when out the window when all of a sudden I heard a huge black helicopter came towards our trailer. This has not been the first time that black helicopters of this type have come over and buzzed our trailer court! On more than one occasion, we have seen (3)back helicopters since June 13, 1999. My mom has also witnessed this event. I know this not a ufo report but I wanted to send a report anyway in hopes of finding what it could mean. Thanks, ((deleted)) from Birmingham (09/10/99)

The full description is as follows: ................................ Black chopper (w/ 2 landing bars) Long tail Grey markings on both sides (2) occupants wearing what appeared to be military or government clothing (could not tell). Craft circled (3) times before speeding off to the west coming from the south. The chopper had to have been traveling at least 30 miles an hour flying overhead. We live near alot of trees and woods. The time approximately it took to circle was about (15) seconds at the most. They left, and about (2:20pm) they came back, this time they flew past our trailer and we grabbed our 35 millimeter camera and started to take a series of photos without them knowing and then they left. I didn't get to take any photos of it but I'll try next time!!! Mr. Davenport I wish not not to give my name for the safety of my family. I need to get in touch with you on another story I have concerning what my stepdad saw on the night of (July 3, 1999) He saw a ufo just coming home from getting dinner. He saw what looked like a huge ufo explode into strings of multi-colored lights ranging from white to red to blue and purple ect... What I want to do is send you a map of the area in wich we live so that you will know where to pinpoint the locations of these events individually. I believe that the event of (July 3, 1999) and the black helicopters are are connected. daylight sighting of flying disk in late 1960s in North Central Alabama

One afternoon around the year of 1968 or 1969, in what is today around downtown Gardendale, my older and I observed a disk shaped object about 100-150 feet off the ground. It was 50 feet in diameter and a pale grayish color. From what I could tell the object had no windows of markings of any kind. The object flew directly over our house and by the time we got outside it had disappeared. Even though we were inside I distinctly remember that the object did not make any sound.
