A ball of light traveling very quickly in the sky and changing directions on a dime, very quickly, then disappearing.

I was driving in Upper St. Clair and I saw a bright light moving very quickly through the sky, somewhere over the Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park, Castle Shannon area. I saw no blinking lights and it was moving too quickly to be a plane or a helicopter. Only thought was that it could be a drone, but there were no blinking lights and it was moving very quickly. The light went behind a tree, so that's how I could tell it was pretty far off in the distance. Then it was moving even faster in the opposite direction. Then I saw it move in another direction, turning on a dime. I went to grab my phone and pull over to video it and it took off - it was gone quickly. I searched the sky some more as I kept driving but there were then too many trees and by the time I got to a clearing, there was nothing in sight.

They appeared to be in a line of white lights and one by one vanished. The others twisted vertically like a leaf shape and vanished. They were orange. None blinked or went to the ground. All on hwy 98 by the lake. They would disappear and reappear way away from their previous location. The orange ones suspended semi vertically and then twisted to vanish.

One circle maybe kinda oval with bright lights

I seen what looked like a UFO. It was big and very bright. It was circular shaped kind of oval with bright white lights all around it and it had a light flashing down from it (like off movies) it just kept going in a circle back and forth. It wasn’t moving up or down just side ways in a circle kind of looked like it was spinning around while moving. It wasn’t far up like planes usually are and I’ve never seen a circle like plane. It was quite interesting. I managed to get a picture and video.

Description of the Event:

While pulled over at the Silver Bell Mine Exhibit (33.9330° N, 115.9597° W) along Pinto Basin Road inside Joshua Tree National Park, I observed a single bright white light moving rapidly across the sky.

Key characteristics:

Altitude: Low, consistent with typical commercial or military aircraft altitude (not high like a satellite).

Speed: Crossed the visible sky in approximately 40 seconds or less.

Sound: No sound was heard at any point, from either the object or the surrounding environment.

Lighting: One steady forward-facing light with no flashing or colored navigation lights (red/green/white strobes normally seen on aircraft).

Appearance:

Maintained a constant brightness.

Surrounded by a "hazy" or "cloud-like" glow despite clear skies.

The "cloud" caused subtle shifts in the way the light was cast, but no physical structure (wings, body, etc.) was visible even under enhancement.

Structure: No clear mechanical structure was visible.

Ufo Blending In Sky West Virginia

Date/Time: March 20, 2025, around 10:30 PM

Description:
While driving through the mountains of West Virginia at night, I saw two black objects in the sky that looked like they were trying to blend in with the night sky. One of the objects had a red anti-collision-style blinking light, while the other object was completely dark with no visible lights. Both objects were stationary and didn’t make any sound. They looked large—much bigger than drones or aircraft lights usually appear from the ground.

A few minutes after we passed the objects, it suddenly started snowing for about 3 minutes, and the snow hit the windshield in a strange way that made it feel like we weren’t even moving. The road was empty, and we had no phone signal. My car radio was off. Both me and my girlfriend sensed something was off—we felt this strong gut feeling not to look back. We stayed quiet until about 6 miles later when she asked, “Did you see that?” and I said, “Yeah, that was weird.”

The whole experience had a strange energy to it, and it’s stuck with us ever .

Two white lights (No Strobe lights, just white) seemed to be dancing around each other. Also one strong white/red light pulsating,

On a flight down to KFLL for vacation in Florida, I thought I'd bring my NVGs along with me to look out the window at night from a really high altitude, something I don't usually get to do. While we were on the East Coast, about adjacent to where I'd placed the general area of the marker on the map, I saw two white lights seem to fly right by each other. I quickly got out the NVGs and looked at them. There were many lights from the city on the ground, and other aircraft that had clearly visible strobe lights, and stationary, clearly visible stars. These two lights had no strobes and seemed to be moving around at a slow speed around each other. They would fade in and out of brightness/view, but I think that was due to the cloud cover at that altitude. It should also be noted we were at roughly 30,000 ft. AGL, and descending to the south down the coastline. Once the two white lights had pretty much faded from view, I also noticed a third that popped up, it was very bright yet stationary and pulsating from white to red at a set and slow pace. Then, the plane started a slight bank to the left, and I lost sight. Also, I was sitting on the right side of the plane in the window seat. The image provided is through a set of PVS-7D Night Vision Goggles and shows a bright and faint light. The bright light, I am confident, was the planet Jupiter, but the faint light above was one of the two lights and also visible to the naked eye at the time of the picture. There was other air traffic, as mentioned, that had clearly visible Naviagton and strobe lights, yet these two lights and the red/white light had no visible strobes, just the two solid whites, and third red/white pulsating. I am aware after checking ForeFlight that there are some notable MOAs to the west, and I do think there is a good possibility that the first two were Military aircraft participating in Nighttime BFM training, but that doesn't really explain that odd red/white light.

It's certainly something unusual that I've never experienced in aviation, but you guys seem to be pretty well put together, and I'm weirded out enough to report the whole thing.

Three bright orange orbs arranged in triangle north of Hood Canal bridge floating parallel to it heading ESE

My wife and I had a sighting of three steady, bight, very distinct orange orb lights as we got on the Hood Canal floating bridge on 7 Jan 24 at 8:40 PM heading west to home. The sighting continued from the turn from WA State Hwy 3 northbound to driving 1 minute westbound on Hwy 104 over the bridge until the lights were behind us to our right side. Three very distinct bright orange steady lights were arrayed in a vertical equilateral triangle about 1000 ft from us, maybe 1000 ft above water, to right (north) of the causeway as we started to cross. Below is a photo of two of the orbs as we drove away from them, taken by my wife, in the right passenger seat. The formation may have been going to the east slowly, as we were going west at 40 MPH so I got only a few glimpses, but my wife was able to see it longer, said they were each basketball size orbs (at that distance, maybe 12 ft in size), not lights on a craft, and was able to take the attached photo of two of them at quite some range as we drove on (unable to stop due to traffic/no shoulder.). Blurry due to long exposure at night, and hand shake, etc. I have also made a rendering of how they appeared to me at one point as I drove.

I am retired from a career in printing, publishing, and associated IT systems. My wife is retired as an office administrator and legal secretary.

I’m both January 1 I noticed several of these bright lights. They lasted for many hours and they never moved. On January 2 I noticed the same lights, but in different locations than the one that I photographed, most stayed in the sky for about an hour the other two came on briefly, but then went out. This is the direction of our airport John Wayne however these lights did not move and I could clearly see other aircraft in the air and could distinguish that these lights were different.

Witnessed two flashing sights that seemed to be related to each other but in different places. When I zoomed in they were pink orbs flashing.

Was flying and seen this object fly opposite direction than us. It just zipped real quick by us

I was on flight AA2392 (American Airline) from Dallas Texas to San Luis Obispo California. We were about 45 mins to 1 hour away from landing. I was in seat 12F and was just looking outside at the ground. We were approximately at 28k ft. I then seen what looked like a cigar shaped object flying the opposite direction just below us. I couldn’t tell how close it actually was to our aircraft but as a frequent flyer seeing other air crafts around the one I’m in and can kind of tell the distance between us ( like on ground or when another plane is landing at same airport but different runway) this was pretty close below us and It was real fast. Our aircraft was going approximately 425 knots.I did not notice wings on it as if it was another aircraft. It was white in color and I think I seen some red and blue color as well.

Large V shaped triangle with white lights

Driving up to the valley with a co-worker and randomly looked up to see a large V shaped object about 200 feet in the air. First saw the outline because of large white lights, at which point the entire object shifted slightly south towards Anchorage and again saw the outline with lights on the bottom. After the second time, it shot off at a high rate of speed but the lights did not show any dragging effects. The trajectory appeared in the sky as > ... > ... gone with the lights completely off for about half a second between the skips It happened really fast, but as I can remember it there was a forward light and 2 white lights on each side of the V for a total of 5 lights.

I've lived in Anchorage for a long time, and this is the first time I've seen anything I would personally qualify as "really out there" and totally unrelated to any aircraft/military activity. I know there is a service road right off the old glenn offramp, which is basically directly below where this thing was at. We were driving so didn't hear any sounds nor did I notice any other cars next to us slowing down. We both saw the vehicle, and my co-worker had mentioned that it seemed like it was skipping on air.. first > was the ship with lights, and then about 200-300 feet same ship with lights but it hadn't actually moved - it seemed like it was able to skip through space and move position without needing to move. No other lights or flashes were seen. It was pretty decently dark out there, so its possible the ship was moving and turning off the lights.

My first thought was this is actually a perfect place for JBER secret squirrel stuff but as a lifelong resident of Anchorage I can't believe that area would be large enough to actually hold anything that was as large as this ship looked.

Resting in bed on phone when bright orange light appears in sky. Went to grab binoculars but then disappeared

Resting in med on my phone before going to bed. I have two windows in my bedroom facing south. I then see a bright orange light appear. First thought it was a small fire starting. Then put my glasses on to see better and it’s in the sky. Curiosity got the best of me and checked a flight radar, there are no planes or helicopters flying in the area. Then I check my astronomy map to see if it’s a super bright planet. So no planets are bright enough right now. I go to get binoculars and check again in the sky and it vanished. I can no longer see anything in the sky that was that bright orange or yellow. Definitely was not a plane or drone. It sat in the same spot while I was looking at it and the lights were twinkling.

A bright white object passed in front of our aircraft at 34,000 feet for about 1 second and then disappeared.

We were in cruise at 34,000 and about halfway into the flight when me and my first officer saw a bright white circular object pass in front of our aircraft and then disappear. Air traffic control didn’t say anything about it and we didn’t receive any indication on our TCAS or radar equipment of it. It appeared for a split second passing us right to left (heading towards the southwest) and then disappeared. We were traveling northwest at about 515 mph and it passed us going much faster. If I had to guess it was going around Mach 1.

Lights moving west to east speed very slow. Grady county Oklahoma in the country. Nov. 29th at 7:45 pm. I zoomed in with photo

I thought bright light was a single light as in star or planet. Then as I watched it was actually moving. I seen what appeared angled downward spot light. It went out. I went inside grabbed camera to zoom in at 30.4 then 36.6x with droid phone it can get pretty close without a lot of distortion. Caught the downward light on again but it wasn't a solid beam this time. Big row of 5 white lights at side of craft is what I believe I could see of craft and took photos of. It was indeed a craft. Moving about 1 ft per min. Guessing altitude 30,000 plus. I then went to try and video and all lights vanished. Poof gone. Like flip the swith lights out. Never seen again. I had a very clear visible area still. And nothing. No practice movement no blinking or rotating lights. Just the beam on and off twice.

Observed a bright white (luminated) teardrop shaped craft flying at impossible speeds while changing direction.

At approximately 1925-1932 i was walking my dog just west of the Topico Lagoon/Huron Lake when I observed a very brightly white lit craft in the shape of a tear drop, more akin to the shape of a horse shoe crab, travel from the N/E to west to S/E covering my entire field of vision in less time it took for me to process what i was looking at. The duration of the sighting was less than 2 seconds. Notably, I have been observing the Leonid Meteor shower over the past 48 hours and I am convinced that what this report details was NOT remnants of a meteor, nor a drone, nor a bird/traditional aircraft due to it's impossible and nearly indescribable speed. I don't know who to tell because i don't want the negative stigma attached to it, and this is the only report of this variety i've ever written. I just want a record of this.

Something passed under plane and did not look like a plane. I could only see the rocket which was bright blue but it was not round. It looked maybe three times wider than it was tall. Was going very fast was only in sight a few seconds. Didn’t think I could capture it on my phone or I would have.

I suppose it could have been a fighter jet. Maybe the heat distortion of the jet hid the plane itself and made the rocket look wider than it did tall. Did not hear anything.

I thought it might be fun to report it. It just looked so not normal but I really have no idea. Like I said could have been a jet.

Triangular formation of lights, Pyramid, sustained interaction.

The second sighting of UAPs happened the night of November 2nd on a commercial flight from LAX to BOI. My first officer and I were climbing to our cruise altitude discussing the lights since our route would take us very close to the airspace we had seen UAPs the previous evening. My first officer suggested a direction to monitor close to where we had seen them and at that moment two bright white lights moving in parallel and a high rate of speed moved left to right, then dimmed into nothing.

I was completely distrusting of what I had seen and continued to look in that direction. What I saw next was as vibrant and as real as anything I’ve seen in my life. I saw three bright lights (white) in a triangular formation (as did my first officer). The lights were so bright it seemed as if there was a blue haze connecting them (my perspective- my first officer did not see the blue haze). As soon as we made a visual on the triangle it started to rotate around some kind of axis and change its form. The movement reminded me of an ice cube melting on a hot plate - the only difference is that it cared not about any dimension.

After seeing that triangle and watching it shift into something else we soon realized that there were many more lights in the sky. The next thing I remember is seeing two triangles, one large one further away and a smaller one closer to us. The smaller of the two triangles seemed to move closer to us and decrease in size. At its smallest size, the lights dimmed and a larger triangle instantly appeared in its place approximately 5 times the size.

The triangles also seemed to collapse on themselves. You would see a triangle and then the tip/top of the triangle would enter the same plane as the other two points – forming a straight line.

We continued to watch lights come and go in the sky the whole flight. Lights would become brighter and form into triangles. It's hard to explain in writing but the lights would often come in groups of 5. While in the air we could not understand what we were seeing, we only later realized on the ground that the crafts are most likely pyramids or diamond in shape and that we were only making out one side at a time. We speculate that what we were seeing was a much larger craft, we were only able to make out small bits of it at a time.

On the descent into Boise we entered a layer of clouds. I could see two glowing lights follow us down in the clouds. I saw this, my first officer did not. They seemed similar in distance to the two lights I had seen at the beginning of the flight. They eventually vanished.

It's important to note that the general location of lights seemed to be centered over northern CA and Central OR. They appeared to be loitering above a fixed geographical location.

Saw a disc with lights rise from the ground

We were on Southwest Airlines Flight 2945 from Portland OR to Las Vegas on 8/25/2024. I was in the middle seat of the last row on the left side of the plane talking to the woman in the window seat when I spotted a circle of lights on the ground like a round launching pad with a disc in the center. I said to her, “Look at that!,” and the disc lifted off the ground and shot up towards us. I gave her my phone so she could take a picture of it. I then looked at the picture on my phone instead of watching where the disc went. I have no idea where we were except on a line from PDX to Las Vegas. We pushed back from the gate at 0725 and my phone shows that the picture was taken at 10:03. Maybe you can check Southwest flight logs to see where we were.

Unusual maneuvering and incredible speeding objects

I was observing and recording possible flashing "drone" (I am not sure what it is, assuming it is a large drone because the army base is nearby). Suddenly, a white sphere-like object appeared, flew in a curving motion from a higher altitude to a lower altitude, and disappeared. The second object was more glowing than the first, a white sphere-like object suddenly appeared above the “military drone”, flying but suddenly stopped, and flew away fast in a curve.
The third object rose from a lower altitude to a higher altitude at incredible fast speed. The fourth object suddenly appeared far above the “drone,” flew in a curving, falling motion, and appeared to approach the “drone” rapidly and it looked like almost collide with it, but then flew to a lower altitude, bending and turning as it went. These three unusual maneuvering objects was not visible to the naked eye at the recording except the second (I thought a bug flying), but I later noticed them for the first time on video at slow speed.

Opinion: It looks as if they were interested in the drone-like flying object or was flying to investigate it or disturbing it.

Object with no strobes, characteristic of a light bulb on a dimmer switch, stationary.

On 3 separate occasions, I have spotted objects to the north/northeast, east, and north/northwest. The first two occasions involved 2 objects; one brighter than the other. On the first occasion, the brighter of the two objects briefly moved at a slow speed straight up and stopped, then both faded out as does a light bulb on a dimmer switch. On the second occasion, the same scenario to the east, but no movement. These two events were approximately 3 weeks apart, and occurred at 04:55 hours and 04:57 hours respectively; one in February and the next in March. The third event just occurred. I spotted a light to the north/northwest that was instantly bright, and then faded out. I am a public safety dispatcher and there were no medivac flights airborne or local private aircraft operating in our area at the time. I checked the ADS-B Exchange flight radar tracker and the only only air traffic plotted nearby was N219CY, a 767 cargo flight off to the east at approx. 39,000 feet, heading due south. There was a small, twin engine turbo prop plotted off to the northwest approx. 43.3 miles off. My exact location on all three occasions was 32.93794570574481, -84.34035186775012. These objects did not display navigation lights, they were singularly luminous and appeared to be anywhere from 40 to 50 miles in the distance. The only active weather balloon for this third sighting was in Newnan to the northwest: CPHAS8,Software: radiosonde_auto_rx-1.7.2, Antenna: 1/4 wave monopole; Last Contact: 2024-05-05T02:17:00.658198Z per the Sondehub Tracking System. This balloon was further west of the area of sky I sighted the object.

Something caught my attention

I stopped my motorbike to take a few pics of the surrounding landscape. I snapped many shots in a few seconds.. The other pics were much more interesting from a landscape / geological formation standpoint. Not sure why I even snapped this one other than it does contain shadows however minimal. Shadows really accentuate the terrain in the evening hours. But I do recall seeing something move and snapped a pic. So no I didn’t see it with my eyes.. but rather movement or motion caught my attention. I didn’t actually discover or realized I captured the object in the pic until several days later while reviewing my pics of the trip once I returned home. Not one of my other pics showed any other anomaly such as this. In other words this wasn’t something on my lens.

Furthermore.. Upon closer examination I noticed the angle / orientation of the shadow from the cliffs mirrored that of the object. So I deduced, since the landscape is so clear of an image and the object is obviously not, I suspect it was either materializing or moving at a high rate of speed.

White Spherical UAP about 1000 feet below us traveling faster than the plane I was on going west away from Florida over the Gulf..

I was flying to Florida for a connecting flight and our flight was redirected over the gulf to avoid bad weather. we were approximately 4000 feet up and about 1000 feet below us I saw from my window seat a small spherical object flying much faster than us and without any kind of resistance to the wind. It seems as if it was flying seamlessly at such a high speed. I tried to take a video but my phone just didnt have enough quality to capture it. I was the only person who seemed to notice it.

I have seen these every night since April 4th of 2023 100s every night until now.

They can be seen every night its clear in a little different part of the sky right now to the northeast. When they start just above tree tops and gradually move overhead in large groups usually lasting an hour or more. Sometimes you can see five at one time and there is a steady stream for at least an hour. They are orbs but seem to change shape where they look like they are boiling or like there shell is shooting up little a firecracker going off then calming back down. The video and the photos were taken the same night and the photos had one minute exposure.

Multiple orbs of light over the Pacific Ocean maneuvering in a purposeful way for over two hours

As the captain of Alaska Airlines flight 733 at 28,000ft to 34,000ft on 2-27-2024 I had an amazing show of lights flying between PHX and PAE last night for over 2 hours. It was over the Pacific Ocean and “orbs of light” were maneuvering up/down, left/right, in circles and diagonal at crazy speeds. They were far away but very visible. NEVER seen anything like it before. It didn’t occur to me to record until it was too late. There was a total of 7 orbs that would phase in and out throughout the flight. At times only one was visible and other times all seven were visibly moving in the same concentrated area. White balls of light that illuminated between very bright to not visible.

Description:
On the specified date and time, while camping at Devils Garden Campground, I had set up my camera in time interval shooting mode while my husband and I were engaged in various camping activities such as cooking, starting a campfire, and having dinner. To our surprise, several unidentified lights, all with the same shape but varying colors, were captured on camera. These objects were discovered upon reviewing the photographs at home.

The objects seemed to come and go, appearing at different angles and distances over the course of about an hour. It's noteworthy that no similar objects were captured after that time period during the night shooting on my camera. The camping experience was generally uneventful, with normal weather conditions—clear sky, no wind—and a temperature of approximately -5 degrees Celsius. It's important to mention that there were several other campers present in the campsite.

Notably, these lights are not attributed to any anomalies with the camera lens, ruling out the possibility of artifacts caused by the camera itself. No unusual sightings or feelings were reported during the camping activities.

On the January 4, 2024 episode of the Dan Bongino show on Rumble, Dan Bongino shared a very recent UFO sighting witnessed by both he and his wife. He mentioned two consecutive sighting events: Tuesday, January 2 and Wednesday, January 3, 2024. As a longtime viewer of the show, I understand he resides in Martin County, Florida which is located in the southeast area of the state.

Seen from his home, he noted that during one of the sightings, the object was hovering 200 yards from his house. He described a discussion he had with his wife during this sighting. Dan's Wife: "Why is there a bright light shining in our house?" (living room) Dan: "That's just a reflection." Dan's Wife: "That's not a reflection." So he went out look from the porch in the back over the water where he was able to observe the object hovering. He said it started to move slowly, stop, then move again, then began to emit something like an exhaust or spray.

Lighted objects "dancing" and performing seemingly impossible aeronautic maneuvers

Passenger aircraft cruising at FL34,000. I was a crew member that entered flightdeck mid-flight. Two other crew members pointed out the 4 lights they had been watching for 45 minutes. Lights flying in circles vertically, horizontally as well as tight zig zag patterns, then flying straight upward. The circular motions were like a dance. No regular patterns, but incredibly fast maneuvers. The lights would disappear and reappear occasionally. The altitude of the objects was unknown, but they were so high that they never left our view during that time. I watched them for 15 minutes before allowing another crew member to observe as well. As our pilot said, "no aircraft exists that can perform those maneuvers." Four crew members witnessed.

While geolocating with AA map on plane for distance to Montreal my eye catches a red orange orb that passes south under the wing.

We are returning to Montreal via Miami on AA after trip to Costa Rica. I am geolocating how much time remains to Montreal and can see the lights of New Jersey to the east NE. The sun has set, it is after twilight. We are at about 30,000 ft. In a few seconds , a red orange orb passes under the plane to the east and flies under the plane wing. I follow its path travelling from north to south until I can no longer see it. No wings, no other visible aviation lights. It is moving exceptionally fast. No time to even grab a still with my cell phone which has been on photo set for the trip but now put away. I manage to dig out the phone and take a picture of our location which is now Staten Island, Emersen Hill. I turn to my husband and ask him if there are any military bases nearby and he says yes many as it is the Capital region. I am having difficulty uploadiing my plane photo at this time but once I straigbten out my Mac issues I can send it with an added drawing on a second photo if needed.

Lower altitude flyby of Allegiant Flight 3145 on a 180 flight trajectory.

I was seated in seat 4A window seat on Allegiant Flight 3145, an Airbus 320 aircraft, that was at 34,000 feet cruise altitude at 450 knots (as related by the piloting air crew). As I glanced out the window I witnessed an oblong, cylindrical wingless object at an estimated 15-20 thousand foot altitude. This object was on a course parallel to Flight 3145 but on a 180-degree trajectory. Allegiant Flight 3145 was out of Austin-Bergstrum International Airport, Texas, with a destination of McGhee-Tyson Airport, Knoxville, Tennessee. The object was visible for an estimated ten seconds off the port side, below and disappeared aft. At the completion of my flight I spoke to one of the pilots after I identified myself with identification and asked if they had had a radar contact at this estimated altitude at 08:58 CDT during our flight. This pilot stated that the flight crew had not had a radar contact at that time. I asked if this observation was reportedable to the FAA and he stated that it was. A check of the FAA website referred me to your site after a second search. The object was completely white, cylindrical without lights and without wings. Estinated size was comparable to an airliner. Weather was scattered clouds and the object was above cloud level. My professional background is that as a paramedic with thirty-four years experience as both paid and volunteer.

It looked like a red light or a star. I could just see the light. I thought it might be an airplane.

I definitely looked like a UFO, so I started taking pictures.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel T7 with a separate zoom lens.

I took as many pictures as I could. The object disappeared, reappeared, and then finally disappeared.

This lasted about thirty seconds. The object was moving slowly towards my right.

I first saw a white pulsing light with multiple points like a classic Christmas star. As it move silently another one appeared, red.

I saw it very clearly at first, and ran inside to get my phone. When I got back there were two, not close together. First one white, second one red. They did not remain a fixed distance apart. They were silently moving west at a slow rate of speed. By the time I got my camera on them, they had moved too far away to see the details, but they were both shaped like a regularly pulsing Christmas star, with many points, only visible when the lights pulsed. I got video as they drifted out of sight, behind the trees. I’m an aircraft enthusiast, and I’ve never seen aircraft lights like these.

An apparent meteorite that reappeared as a slowly flashing object going in the opposite direction.

Looking at the western night sky about an hour after sunset, I noticed an apparent meteorite or shooting star, very bright and leaving a long trail, traveling due west towards the horizon. Immediately after disappearing, from the exact point the object burnt out, a light appeared, very slowly flashing from extremely bright to completely invisible (I’d say a period of every four seconds or so, it was hard to follow across the sky because it wasn’t flashing rapidly) and after tracking it for a minute, I realized it was more or less going back in the same direction it had entered from (i.e. traveling due east). I watched it until it disappeared behind the trees in the east. It kind of looked like a satellite, but I’ve never seen a satellite that brightened and dimmed periodically, and I checked all satellite and flight trackers and nothing showed up in the area.

Many orbs observed near our campsite for two consecutive nights. Have a short video of one orb

A recent trip to the beautiful Lake Powell, Utah turned out to be the most profound experience of my 61 years on this earth. Fortunately, my experience was also witnessed by my two younger guests making my story very credible. If I hadn’t someone else to back this story, I would truly be questioning my sanity as it was so profound it would be hard to convince others of this unworldly experience. It’s still hard to convince myself of what we witnessed.

I want to point this out right now. I’m not one to embellish this—I don’t have to! I will gladly undergo any investigation. I’m absolutely willing to be hooked up to a lie-detector, given truth serum or whatever. My testament here is an absolute bond to anyone, man or God. What I tell you here is the absolute truth with no fantastical additions. I have two other friends that would stand as witness as I do.

Throughout this ordeal and that evening, the three of us would check on what each other was seeing to verify that we were indeed seeing the same thing. We were often looking in different directions but would frequently verify what the other was seeing.

We arrived at the Bullfrog Marina of Lake Powell on September 12, 2023. We planned to camp and rent a boat for the next 4 days for an exciting and relaxing time at one of the more beautiful places on earth. After searching for the perfect campsite, we found a great site that we would call home for the next few days. Little did we know what we were about to experience!

I’m an avid stargazer and this area of Lake Powell is one of the better dark-sky areas as there is very little light pollution. I purposely chose these dates due to the new moon on September 14th. The skies are at their viewing prime if star watching is your goal. The Milky Way stands out brilliantly and you can see the incredible dimension and complex intricacies of this celestial mass. It’s easy to spend hours just looking at this marvel.

We camped in an area called Stanton Creek which is a primitive camp area at Lake Powell that allows easy access to the water and a good place to moor the boat safely. It has its own bay with camping allowed on either side.

The first night was a typical night and we spent our time enjoying our campfire, a good meal, and spirited discussion for the evening. It was cloudy that night, so of course we didn’t spend much time viewing the skies.

The next evening, however, would prove to be radically different. Early in the evening, the skies allowed us a clear, beautiful view of the stars. As the evening progressed, clouds began arriving obscuring our once fabulous view. Since our eyes were no longer locked on the stars, we began noticing curiosities around us. Across the bay, something caught our eye that would keep us captivated for the next four plus hours and curiously haunt us for the rest of our lives.

What we initially thought had to be a drone was quickly dismissed as we observed this thing moving in a way that ruled it out as a drone. My young friend is a licensed drone pilot and uses one in his profession so I didn’t question his assessment. It didn’t take but minutes of observing this object, that he basically stated “That’s not a drone.” The movement of this object was far too dynamic compared to a drone.

If I could describe the movement of this object, I would say it’s like a pesky fly flying in front of you with its erratic up and down and sideways shifts. Also, this object would cover distances so quickly that it didn’t seem drone-like. It also flew so close to the rocky out-cropping—AT NIGHT-- that smart drone pilots would not dare. This was not a drone!

Before I dive too deep describing this object, I want you to know that there will be so much more to describe as there were many more that we witnessed that night. Yes, many more with many different behaviors and visual manifestations. Get ready for “profound” as I mentioned earlier.

So, let’s start with the first one, and the more interesting sighting. When I first spotted this dazzling object, my mind was set on drone mode and I simply dismissed it as somebody playing with a toy. I want to say it was about midnight when we first started observing. I quickly alerted my friends and got them watching along with me. Like I said, we quickly deduced that this wasn’t a drone but our minds couldn’t grasp what the reality was. The reality is that we were looking at these very energetic, star-like orbs. It was a brilliant shine with a very clear, almost bluish hue. Get ready, here’s where it gets weird!

Underneath this very bright orb was what seemed a separate entity that shined of a brilliant red. This object was crazy looking and I would describe it as almost an octopus like shape, this is no joke folks! It seemed to have a main body and leg like, trailing legs giving it the look of an octopus. It appeared to have several legs but I couldn’t give you a count. These legs, had a small, red orbs that were brilliant in their shine. These orbs appeared to me to be incrementally spaced with about 6-7 points on the leg.

These two objects literally danced with each other for quite some time with the red entity underneath the white orb above. It often looked like the two entities were connected as they flitted around but suddenly would separate with a small distance between them. The white orb broadcast a brilliant shine on the rocks nearby, giving it an almost spotlight quality. The red object also reflected but was much dimmer.

As we were observing these crazy things dance around for a good length of time, we began to notice some other white orbs nearby, acting in a much different fashion. The first sighting was the only one that evening that had the red entity associated with it. I, regretfully missed the moment the red entity disappeared due to trying to watch a larger expanse of area. After that, we never saw the red object again.

So, there we were absolutely spellbound by what we were seeing. It was stunning, it was hard to comprehend, it seemed unbelievable. I absolutely lost track of time but four hours would roll by with no shortage of odd, odd, very odd things to observe. Believe it or not, we finally decided to go to bed at four in the morning because we were exhausted, even though the show continued!
The initial white orb-which seemed to gleam slightly brighter than the others and began to really move around a lot more once the red entity was gone. This was all happening on the other side of the bay at nearly ground level from our estimates. This orb passed back and forth several times above other campers, apparently without alerting anyone to their presence. The orb, on occasion, would shine a spotlight like beam towards the ground or rock areas. It was kind of like it was searching for something. We could hear the camper’s voices earlier in the evening but never heard a voice when this orb floated overhead. Of course, it was past most people’s bedtime at 1ish in the morning.

All of these orbs would dance around, travel, then eventually disappear. Some would reappear as they had before, do nearly the same dance, travel the same direction, all to disappear again. This went on for hours! There was no rhythm, no order, no definite pattern to their behavior but just random antics, again and again and again.

I occasionally would start looking at a random one that seemed to shine a bit brighter than the rest. As I stared at them, I would suddenly feel that they knew and they would appear to approach directly towards me in a perfectly straight-line. More than once I swiped my arm/hand in front of me because it felt like they were right in front of me. This happened to me about 5 or 6 times. It was very disorienting, slightly disturbing when this would happen. I would feel a bit dizzy and unsteady on my feet from a few of these encounters. I was certainly alarmed, but I never felt in danger or afraid.

Strange huh? Guess what, it gets even more bizarre. When I said profound, I meant it. I’m not sure there really is a word to capture the essence of this experience.

After watching these objects across the bay for what seemed about two hours, it occurred to me to look around and do a good 360-degree scan of our area. Guess what? They were all around us and above! We were absolutely in the midst of large gathering of these orbs, these shining balls, these curious little entities. I want to call them earthly, as they were not way up in the heavens with the stars, but I want to call them celestial as they were not from this earth. I don’t know how to think of these things as they possessed a combination of both earthly and celestial origin. That’s possible, right?

Here’s just one oddity of this. When it occurred to me that they were above us, I began to watch these things intently. They didn’t really move much like the earlier orbs, but seemed to phase in and out somewhat and jig and jag occasionally. The strange part about this group is that they seemed to be part and parcel of a strange, very low cloud system. The clouding around these orbs seemed to be an integral part to the group. My impression was it seemed like frog spawn with the embryo at the center of a gelatinous mass. Even though the clouds were a little hard to see, we both described them as having a curious structure. I’m not sure that what structure I saw I could put into words or pictures!

So, this odd cloud mass above us had a small roundish opening where you didn’t see the cloud mass. However, we could not see the celestial stars past the opening. I seriously tried to see if I could even see one star beyond this cloud system and I couldn’t.

What I was seeing was another outrageous part to this story. Remember, I had two other people with me that saw it exactly how I did! In this roundish opening, a single, slightly brighter orb resided slightly off-center of the opening. This shiny orb had its own curious cloud-like mass surrounding it. It’s like that was a special star with its special cloud round it. This orb seemed to try and mimic a real star but I knew that it wasn’t, it just wasn’t! My impression of this stary orb was that it had a higher order in the group. It didn’t dart around but it did move slowly and slightly. It would, every so often, disappear up into the haze above it and eventually reappear again.

In the same clearing, there was a very different mini-star like group that seemed to have a weird association with the “Main Orb.” This clustery group of shiny points had a similar shape to the red entity’s lower leggy part. Same shape, sort of, but a dimmer cluster of white shine. There seemed to be a subordinate or dominant structure amongst them but in a very agreeable order.
These two peculiarities seemed to ebb and tide between each other in a flowy salsa set on super slow speed.

Throughout the night we kept our heads on a swivel since there was so much going on everywhere! The very first orb we observed was no longer doing its strange dance just across the bay like earlier. I don’t recall it being in that area again after about the two hours into our observations. Like I said before, there was no rhyme nor reason to any of these entities’ actions. It’s like we were simply there to observe them in their natural habitat. I don’t know how else to explain it!

Brace yourself, because here again is another crazy description of some different lights that evening. Every so often, we would see one orb that was slightly orangish compared to the others. It seemed a little larger and gave me the impression that they were of a higher order amongst the many other white orbs. I don’t know why I say this but they just moved about differently. There weren’t more than three or so of these that I noticed throughout the evening. Another orby occurrence was an object that struck me as jet-like. Seriously, this thing moved more in a direct line throughout the others and seemed to have a purpose among the orb clusters. It appeared triangle-like and was a combination of bright white orb at the front or tip of the triangle and had a reddish hue on one side and a greenish hue on the other. It was not incredibly brilliant in shine like the other orbs and seemed to have a dullish or obscured brilliance to it. I noticed these things three different times later in the evening. Of course, this sounds like a description of plane or jet but I assure you that was not the case. They only travelled through the cloudy grouping that I described earlier and I never saw them exit the larger cloud mass. Again, this cloudy network was not that far in the sky and was certainly not in the region of flight patterns.

When we all finally had our fill from the experience, at about 4:00 in the morning, we decided to retire for the evening as we had a busy day head of us. My two friends retired first and I was right behind them. I secured our campsite and fire for the evening and headed to my sleeping quarters. I decided to take one last look at the sky and around us and guess what? The orbs had decided to move on and I could not see any of them like we had just 20 minutes before. This was another strange twist to that night! Off in the distance, I could faintly make out a large cluster of shiny objects seemingly headed to the west. Was this a star cluster or our group of orbs headed off somewhere? My mind was so overwhelmed that I just passed it off as another bizarre component of our evening.

I remember when I finally settled into my cozy bed in the back of my truck, I felt really weird. I felt somewhat disoriented to a point of dizzy like. I also felt like I was floating, with my truck, off the ground ever so slight. This feeling lasted for a good 15 minutes before I felt relaxed. I also recall feeling a very deep but subtle vibration that felt like an earth vibration. It was not pulsing but consistent. It was so faint and almost unnoticeable. Very odd indeed, but then again, the entire evening was outrageously odd!

I’m sure some will ask if we felt threatened or felt any fear during this. The answer is no. In fact, that was the topic at one point amongst us three if any of us felt in danger from these objects. We all concurred that we really felt neither fear nor divine emotion. Never was there any panic amongst us or divine occurrence, again, it felt as though we were just observers and nothing else. Throughout the evening, we would individually invite them to visit us. Yes, we sincerely asked these objects to reveal themselves and join us! We were far more intrigued than frightened and we were just hoping for a meaning to what we were witnessing.

I must admit, overall, the experience was incredibly divine but I just wished I had an answer of, why? Why were the three of us given this access, if you will, to something that seemed well beyond our reality? Were we chosen for the show? Did we just happen to be in the right place at the right time for a celestial gathering?

Obviously, as you could imagine, this experience has had me buzzing ever since. I’m the kind of guy that needs answers and I don’t have any solid answers. At this point, I’m just wide open to what this was truly about. I’m also a true skeptic but this defies logic according to my reality. My guard is down and I can’t possibly be skeptical towards this profound, unexplainable event.
Historically, this area was a heavily used area by Native Americans. There are endless artifacts, petroglyphs, pictographs all around this area that confirm this. Since I don’t have even a slight clue about this event, did I witness something that was related to these ancient people? These orbs struck me as very earthly but cosmic in the same respect. Almost like a conjuring from spiritual, earthly beings.

Some of you may ask, “where’s the video?” Fair question indeed! I knew what I had (smart phone) wouldn’t really portray exactly what it was we were seeing. I also was so damned spellbound that I could not take my eyes off the incredible show around us. This seemed very uncharacteristic of me because I document everything. Was I under some power that inhibited my innate impulse? My friends also did not try to video anything that night. Why? Why didn’t it occur to us to at least try to get something? This was also rather uncharacteristic of my friends that were equipped with the smartest of Samsung phones and also a quality digital camera. Was there some force affecting us that inhibited us? The night was so strange and so mystic that I wouldn’t doubt the possibility here.

The story doesn’t end here because the next evening brought us a much different, but equally fantastical experience. This evening started a lot like the night before where we had a clear sky earlier with increasing clouds later in the evening. It was this second night that my mind started thinking about the clouds the night before because there was a peculiar similarity between the two evenings. Both nights, it seemed there was a light clouding that began obscuring our clear view of the skies along with these other clouds. These other clouds were sparse but large in their size. Even the shape of the clouds struck me as peculiar. They were very shapely, with many curves and protruding edges like you would see on a large lake with bays and peninsulas. Another strange aspect of these clouds is that they were very dark and almost black. Looking back, I would describe them as ominous in their appearance. At the time I didn’t think much about them as I thought it was just a play of shadowing as the moon crested beyond the horizon heading to the other side of the world. It seemed when these clouds would show up the fun would begin.

This evening was much different because this time there were only about three different orb areas that were active. There wasn’t the massive gathering like the night before. These orbs basically stayed in their distant areas doing the very same habit throughout the night. One light in particular was by far the more entertaining.

This particular orb appeared fairly close to where it all began the night before. It was a little more to the left of our view where we saw the red and white orbs dancing the night before. It stayed in a particular track throughout the entire night going back and forth in almost a straight line. This orb travelled back and forth over an area I would put at about an 1/8 of a mile to maybe a 1/4 mile. It would flit about up and down and sometimes sideways but would stay on this chosen path. Like the lights before, it would often disappear out of sight only to reappear again later and do its funny ritualistic dance. This went on for hours!
The orb activity seemed to kickoff about midnight just like the night before after the dark clouds showed up. Freaky huh?

This same orb also seemed to have a spotlight yes, a spotlight! This was not your typical man-made spotlight as it had incredible power and would light up an area at an unbelievable size. This spotlight would light up the entire track this orb travelled that night. The spotlight would often shine here and there as if it was looking for something. Interestingly, this orb would turn this light on us, or so it appeared, but it was never bright to our eyes nor did it illuminate us. The orb just seemed a little larger and brighter when it turned towards us. It didn’t shine this spotlight all that much but when it did it was obvious!
Closer to us and just on the other side of the bay was a group camping. Two of us were certain we heard a female say, “they’re back!” when this orb flew directly above them at one point. I wanted dearly to go over and talk to them the next day but we were on a schedule that did not permit it and it was a little difficult to reach. I regret that decision immensely. At least I would have a few more witnesses to add testament to this unbelievable story!

Another curious thing the orb would do is multiply. As you watched it, it would seem to clone itself and birth other orbs the same size and shine as the original. These orbs would trail off and disappear, leaving the main one to dance with its self. A time or two that night, other orbs would show up and the two or three or more would dance back and forth like they were interacting somehow. They would eventually disappear, leaving the original one to itself again.

There were two other orb activities that night but considerably a good distance from us and the more entertaining orb. One group far across the lake near Hall’s Crossing had its own strange pattern of dance that night. There were two distinguished orb clusters. One group had a cluster of white orbs and the other cluster a mix of color orbs. These two groups appeared to hover in an area without much movement in any direction. They seemed to be on the same track as they would float up together and then back down. My impression was that they were not in any conflict that I could detect, they just seemed to play off of each other. Again, this went on for hours too.

The third orb area was just a repeat of an orb rising from a particular area, travel left to right along the same path and drop or disappear in the same area. Sometimes, this orb would appear to also clone itself similar to the before mentioned orb. This also went on for hours.

Earlier that evening and just an hour after sunset, I laid down to rest my tired back. I’m 61 and beginning to feel my age! My friends began to experience the odd happenings during my resting. There was a moment when they were in their tent when they said that a bright light overhead would illuminate their tent very brightly, shut off, and then do it again. They said this lasted about a minute or so. I was very close and awake but I didn’t notice any light such as that. They were very adamant about this so I didn’t even begin to question it. Everything was so weird and indescribable the night before, why would I even question their testimony, right?

As I was still resting, my friends decided to take a hike over to a sandy beach and lake side area about a half mile away. While out there, they said they had maybe the most profound experience out of the two nights. I wouldn’t do this story justice because this would have to come from them directly. I guess at one point they had a light shine at them, startling them somewhat because they thought they were intruding upon another camping group. Their impression was it was a pickup with two beings next to it. However, they felt very strongly that the two entities were not human. This part of the story really needs to come from them as I do not want to embellish anything here. They had said the vehicle was very near the area we were camping but I did not notice anything peculiar as I rested. It gave me goosebumps when they told me. Of course, I didn’t even begin to question their experience.

When they came back to camp, I rallied and joined them at the campfire only to hear this bizarre experience. After that is when I started looking around again and spotted the three different orb groups. I couldn’t believe that we would have to back-to-back nights of odd experiences, but the whole thing was so outrageous I figured, “why not!”

My friend did do a short recording of the “main attraction” orb and it did show the erratic movement but it did not portray the actual look of the orb. This is what I expected to see and that’s why I didn’t bother trying to record. It looked like someone shining a flashlight directly at you and moving it around. Trust me people, this was no flashlight!

I think we finally went to bed around four in the morning. I’m old and I like my sleep but I just couldn’t stop watching as the hours slipped by. It was hard to think of sleeping as you could imagine!

I’ve never been so enthralled in my life and I’ve had some incredible moments throughout my 60 plus years on this earth. Back in the summer of 2019, I experienced a UFO(s) sighting in the same general area of Lake Powell. I like to go to Lake Powell for its wonderfully dark skies and incredible star-gazing. I don’t get down there often enough! I’ve observed these UFO’s four different times now throughout the last 5 years. My UFO’s stories are a whole other story for another time to tell.

Another celestial blessing was seeing the Aurora Borealis in the desert of Utah. This experience happened very near Goblin Valley State Park. This experience can easily be explained with all the backing of earth science so it doesn’t even begin to compare to the story you are reading here. I’ve always viewed that as a gift from the Gods because of my love for the natural world. Nature is my cathedral, my church if you will.

I’m now left with the question of what I and my young friends experienced. It would be easy to be bugged into a psychosis over this because of its extreme nature, well beyond a human’s day to day reality. It tested me in a way I never imagined but I know what I was seeing, and what my friends were seeing so I accepted this new reality in front of me. I’ve never doubted the magic or mystic of this world so maybe that made it easier to assemble in my brain? It was a calm experience for the three of us; never terrified nor wholly overwhelmed. It was just a neutral feeling, I guess. It’s like we were just simple spectators to a very sacred event.

On Thursday Sep 7 2023 as me and my dad were unpacking at hunting camp. I observed a circular object that looked like an aircraft except the object was not moving. Believing that the object was a satellite I pointed it out to my dad telling him to look to his twelve a clock. Once I had done that I went into the tent and came back out. Still seeing the object I grabbed my cross necklaces and the orb started to dive down erratically, climb irately, and then move to the left. I proceeded to point out what was happening to which he responded "What the s..t is that?” We continued on with unpacking noting that the object moving erratically was no longer moving and that there were now 4 objects that formed an almost square flashing red white yellow.

This is hands down the weirdest thing I have ever witnessed and something I never want to experience again.

While driving on a rural highway, I looked up into the sky and saw what could have been a shooting star in a linear path as all are; however, it was not a white light. It was a neon greenish light that only lasted seconds. I have never seen a shooting star that color before.

An extraordinary close encounter with a UFO in central Idaho in 1974.

I am a professional writer and the following short story is from an autobiographical memoir I am writing. I hope someone in your organization will enjoy reading it.

UFO

The Detroit-Superior Bridge is a huge industrial marvel serving as a portal to downtown Cleveland from the affluent bedroom community of Bay Village on Lake Erie where he and his best friend since childhood grew up.

It was the night before high school graduation in the Spring of 1974 when he and Steve made their way across the bridge and down to the “Flats,” a dark and dank place on the infamous Cuyahoga River (so polluted from chemical waste at the time it had the ignominious distinction of the “River that caught on fire.”)

The Flats had a sordid past. In the 60s it was where sailors and steel workers would go to drink hard, find women and frequently fight outside the old bars, few and far between the warehouses and old buildings found there. The Flats had a reputation as a very dangerous place, especially at night and the early hours of the morning.

In the 70s the Flats transitioned into something of an entertainment district; some of the bars and warehouses were converted into music venues. The punk rock movement emerged from here and so did Cleveland’s reputation as the country’s home of rock n’ roll.

What transpired that night set the tone for the next year in the boys’ lives.

He had a vivid memory of drinking at the Pirate’s Cove and old Harbor Inn, the latter dating back to the late 1800s. He had an even more vivid memory of walking over to the mouth of the Cuyahoga River and the edifice known as the Iron Curtain Bridge, a heavily used railroad lift bridge spanning the width of the river. The bridge raised and lowered horizontally to allow the huge freighters transporting iron ore to access the steel mills up river. The bridge lowers in order to accommodate the dozens of trains that traverse the area on a daily basis.

The bridge raises to a height of 97 feet - almost the height of a ten story building- by a system of cables and counterweights. The boys had the brilliant idea to climb the elevated bridge in pitch black darkness to watch the sun rise and enjoy the views of the city.

Steve led the way and he followed, but stopped at the train rails, next to a giant counterweight, while Steve traversed the tracks to the middle of the bridge. All was well until suddenly there was a loud noise and the great Iron Curtain Bridge began to lower.

He was petrified, having no idea how the mechanics of the bridge worked, worrying he might be crushed at any second. Steve reappeared out of the darkness and with one of the greatest understatements in the history of mankind said, I think we better get down. Steve led the way like a monkey on fire followed by his tremulous friend.

Many years later, recounting their adventure, Steve laughingly said, I think if we did that today we would get arrested.

And so it began.

The next day he graduated from high school and the two made final preparations for leaving Bay Village. Steve had purchased an old green 1961 Dodge half- ton pickup truck, which they naturally nicknamed “Old Paint.”

They worked to make it road-worthy and even went to a salvage yard where they found an old station wagon with a roof rack they modified to fit on top of Old Paint’s cab. The idea was to have a way to get onto the roof to sit and enjoy the scenery as they made their way through beautiful canyons, blankets of pine forests and rolling rivers. They packed up their worldly possessions- their mothers loaded the truck with groceries convinced the two were going to starve to death - and they embarked on a long-planned trip out west to the mountains of Idaho where they planned to work at his uncle’s Grizzly Bear Pizza parlor in Boise.

Their route took them through Minneapolis and then across the never-ending plains until they entered Montana. It was dark out when they decided to pull off the road and set up their small two-man pup tent and get some sleep.

When they woke up the next morning he was surprised to learn they were not alone. Below them in a little valley was what appeared to be a little community of Amish-looking homesteaders, the women covered in white head scarves and long black dresses. From what he could tell they were living without the benefit of electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing. He couldn’t help but notice the furtive glances of the young women going about their chores appraising these “outsiders,” barely clothed, camped up the hill.

It was then it really hit him he was entering a different world. The comfort and privilege of his youth was now far behind them as they began the long and beautiful drive down through Big Sky country to Idaho. Manicured lawns and the rust belt were replaced by endless miles of pine forests and the rugged peaks of the Bitteroot Mountains to the west and the clear, clean and fast running waters of the Upper Salmon River to the east.

When they reached Idaho they stopped in a classic Old West general store where a young cowboy came through the door with a very large gun prominently strapped to a well worn leather belt around his muscular waist. Under a large cowboy hat was a handsome tanned face and a curious expression as he eyed the two skinny, long-haired boys who were obvious “flat landers” from somewhere east. Dorothy, he thought to himself, we ain’t in Kansas no more.

Once they reached Idaho 21, which ended in the sparsely populated town of Stanley, with the spectacular Sawtooth mountains as a backdrop, they headed west on the winding two-lane paved highway toward Boise, running along the Upper Fork of the Payette River, past Kirkham Hot Springs, the rustic log general store and bar in Lowman. Behind Lowman, with its few cabins, was a dirt, two-track logging road that unbeknownst to them rose up to Bear Valley, which would soon play a big role in their lives.

In 1989, tragically, Lowman, at an elevation of only 3,801 feet, was devastated by a wildfire that destroyed 75 square miles of pristine pine forests. From Lowman, Idaho 21 rises through a series of steep switchbacks to cross over Beaver Creek summit at 6,041 ft. and then drops through the Ponderosa Pine National Forest for ten miles before they ascended the steep 7,000 ft. Mores summit.

After descending the summit, the two-lane highway followed a serpentine route through the most beautiful and vast wilderness in the world. Eventually, they broke through the towering pine forests to the sagebrush strewn terrain that greets travelers entering the old mining town of Idaho City.

Once a boom town built during the Gold Rush of the 1800s, with a population of 5,000, Idaho City was now a ghost town with only a few remaining bars and small cafes, and a permanent population of only a couple hundred. They pullled off the road to a sad excuse for a gas station, with just a couple old Texaco pumps, in front of a cinder block building that advertised itself as The Beer Garden. They went inside and surveyed the clientele, mostly forest workers, occasional miners and truckers who stopped in to enjoy the cheap beer and camaraderie of their friends. After a few beers and friendly conversation with the locals he couldn’t help but notice a gregarious and boisterous older man holding court at the end of the bar. In well-worn jeans and cowboy boots he sported a very large six-shooter hanging heavily from his belt. His curiosity got the best of him and he walked over and introduced himself to the man known to everyone as Wild Bill Allen. To most in the bar this larger-than life character (spelled with a capital “C”), was known by his curious moniker, “Ferd Berfle.”

Can I ask you a question?, he asked Ferd hesitantly. Do you need a permit to carry that gun?

Ferd laughed, obviously several beers and whiskeys into the day. His friends laughed along with him, Yeah, I got a permit, he said, in fact I got six of them. With that he pulled his hand cannon out of its holster and deftly flipped open the chamber from the gun and one-by-one released the bullets and offered them for inspection in the palm of a weathered and leathery hand.

This is all the permit I goddamn need, he laughed, in a voice that challenged anyone to disagree with him.

He would soon come to understand they had traded the oppressive police presence of their former life in Bay Village for an unfamiliar life of Old West lawlessness. In fact, in the ensuing years when he lived in the mountains he could’t ever remember seeing a law enforcement officer.

Over a few more beers the boys explained their journey and destination. Ferd asked them if, instead of making pizzas in the city, if they would rather work in the outback making some real money. He had a firewood cutting operation in the hills, he told them, north of Idaho City.

Reminiscing, many years later, neither could remember the exact terms, but they were told they would be paid by the cord they cut. If they had their own chainsaws they would be paid even more.

They didn’t need to be asked twice. Flipping pizzas in Boise was always just a means to an end, which was working and living in the mountains. They signed on immediately, got directions to the camp, and headed down to Floyd’s A1 Saw Shop in Boise, still a little city, to spend their life savings.

Floyd was a kindly old man who owned a small one-man shop servicing and selling nothing but chainsaws. He was a card-carrying Mormon who was extremely helpful outfitting the boys with everything they would need for their new job. When they went to pay, a bill in the hundreds of dollars, Floyd stunned them when he wouldn’t take their money.

When you two start making money, he told them, come back down and pay me. He didn’t ask them to sign anything, leave anything for collateral, nothing. They just walked out the door with their new saws and Good Luck wishes from a man he would always remember as one of the nicest human beings he ever met.

They headed back up Highway 21 to Idaho City and headed north on a dirt road, past the old saloons with their wooden boardwalks, past Boot Hill Cemetery (today a tourist attraction) and then deep back into the woods, where the only sign of life was an occasional homesteader’s cabin. Coming down one hill they were amazed to see off to the side of the road a very old woman working a plot of land alone with a horse-drawn single-wedge plow. Were they really living in the late 20th Century?

When they finally arrived at the camp they were greeted by a group of backwoods miscreants loaded with beer and long guns. Steve remembers driving into the camp as akin to walking into a real-life set from the movie “Deliverance.” Even the camp cook kept a 12-gauge shotgun next to her at all times. What they didn’t know is this crew was all related and actively feuding with a rival gang of cousins who stole a cow, or goat, or chickens; something stupid.

They did hard work for a couple weeks, paid off their saws, and on weekend nights went into Idaho City when they had time and money. On these much anticipated nights the few bars in Idaho City were filled with ranchers, loggers and miners who drove fancy trucks and wore nice clean clothes: they obviously made money and were ordering fancy drinks for themselves and the mostly attractive women with them, who were wearing pretty skirts and dresses and sported feminine, thin-soled shoes, unlike the boots worn by their camp cook or the old woman plowing her field.

At the Miner’s Exchange, their favorite saloon of all time, they were greeted by a sign that read “Check All Guns and Knives at the Bar.” Hello again Dorothy!

It didn’t take them long to figure out that loggers made a lot more money than cutting firewood (Ferd neglected to tell them that in addition to cutting the firewood they also had to split and load the pitch-pine onto his truck, which he then hauled to sell in Boise and Sun Valley), It was backbreaking and exhausting work.

After awhile they learned who to talk to in the logging business and they met Greg Harp, foreman of a gyppo operation, a small contract logging operation- often associated with renegades and misfits - owned by the MacGregor Triangle Ranch.

After a deck of logs rolled onto a 19-year-old, a position opened up and they soon found themselves moving to Bear Valley.

They would work sun up to sun down, usually six days a week. On their day off they would drive down to Boise to provision themselves for the next week.

It was on one of these drives that it happened, an extraordinary experience they would tell (and be asked to retell) the rest of their lives.

It was a beautiful summer day when they were a few miles past Idaho City. Steve was driving when, about a mile from the road, high up in the tree line, he noticed a large and extremely bright light. He pointed it out to Steve.

What is that? he asked. Steve slowed down. They knew nobody lived up there. It couldn’t be a forest fire. There was no smoke or flames. It was stationary, multi-colored and glowing.

In less than a second, in literally a blink of the eye, the light was next to them, hovering just off to the side of the road and slightly below them over a culvert of sage brush. At least ten times the size of Old Paint, it made no noise, created no wind; it was an otherworldly object of spinning lights. It was obvious to them it was extraterrestrial.

Stop! You have to stop! We can go meet them! We’ll go on the Johnny Carson show!, he shouted!

But when he looked back at Steve, he could tell by the look on Steve’s face he had no intention of stopping.

Are you crazy, Steve shouted back at him, as he was climbing out the window to get on top of the truck for a better look. They’ll suck out our brains and put us in a zoo on Mars! he said (and he was serious).

He stared at the object for as long as he could before a curve in the road took them out of its sight. Once he was certain it wasn’t following them he climbed back into the cab.

What the fuck was that? he asked, breathlessly.

I have no idea, Steve answered, wide-eyed and in disbelief at what they just experienced. But let’s get outta here!

Steve’s memory almost 50 years later:

They drove on for about another ten miles before they came up on a bar in a dilapidated building, maybe an old converted double-wide trailer.

They parked out front and rushed inside, eager to tell their story. They were greeted by a bar full of rough necks not in the least bit interested in their gibberish; they were doing a shit poor job of communicating what they had just experienced.

One stand out moment came from a dangerous looking, unkempt woodsmen who appraised them skeptically and said only: Your hairs grown so long it’s pulled your brains out. In a moment of lucidity they decided it was best if they took their leave of this fine establishment.

They said they wanted to make a police report- the nearest station being in Boise - and they were directed to a pay phone outside an adjacent building. Once they were in the dusty parking lot Steve was followed by a fortunately friendly man.

Listen, he said, every guy in that bar has seen some weird shit up here, they just weren’t going to talk about it. He quizzed Steve about the shape and size of what they saw. Was it a dirigible shape? Spherical? He had no doubt what the boys saw was real and an extraordinary extraterrestrial encounter.

Steve made the call to the station and reported to the dispatcher what they experienced. Instead of being ignored or ridiculed they were surprised to be treated respectfully and were asked to come into the station to file a report.

They drove the 90 miles down to Boise and walked into the station, not a comfortable environment for two boys who had spent their adolescence trying to avoid the law.

They were led into a large room with a boardroom table and told they would be joined shortly by officers who wanted to hear their story. What they didn’t know is every cop working that night had been notified that these two young loggers were coming in to tell an incredible story. One by one the room filled with uniforms until it was standing room only. You could have heard a pin drop.

They listened to their story without saying a word. When they were done they filed out of the room without so much as a word between them, his memory being they were considering what they had just heard. Who were these two long-hairs? Why would they drive all the way into Boise to make a police report if they weren’t convinced of what they experienced?

A couple of the younger cops hung back and Steve remembered one saying, I believe them, my Uncle says he saw something just like what they saw.

The boys walked out of the station and into the quiet, warm summer night. Decades later, through images captured by the extraordinarily powerful telescopes probing deep space, we are learning vast new information about our universe.

He remembered an interview with an astrophysicist: What is the one fact about the universe that blows your mind the most? the physicist was asked. “Not only just the size and scale of it; in the piece of the universe we can see, there are something like roughly two trillion galaxies…we haven’t counted them all but that’s an estimate based on surveys of the local universe. Two trillion, two thousand billion galaxies. And each galaxy is, let’s say, around the size of the Milky Way - some are bigger and some are smaller - but the Milky Way has 400 billion stars in it. It takes light over 100 thousand years to cross the galaxy. And there are two trillion of them in the piece of the universe we can see. And we are very sure that the piece we can see is a small bit of what may be an infinite universe beyond. We don’t know, actually. Don’t get worried about that because nobody can picture it. It is impossible to visualize the scale of the universe.”

He knew what he saw was not from earth, so did Steve. They also knew they were among the very few humans ever to be feet away from an extraterrestrial object. A UFO.

Near Atlanta, GA. I was sitting at my pool when an object about the size of a human being with a dark grey/dark green tint flew overhead. It was hovering above the airport still for around 15 minutes at a time to other side of highway like it was observing and taking notes

I was in Texas on the way to la and the craft was like a fire ball spinning with what looked like a head light spinning with it and kind of looked like some sort of blob in the middle it was spinning to fast to tell. This was around 8pm 10pm July 26, 2023 this is my second contact with the same fireball craft within a year first was in Brentwood Tennessee and I watched it for around one minute floating left to right dropping down some and then it shot out of the universe extremely fast leaving what appeared to me as a line in the sky it looked like it split the sky it was so fast. Im not delusional I have 20/20 vision and the one in Texas was recorded but I lost access to my old cloud where it was. It must have been the last airport before leaving Texas if your satellites can go back and review to confirm this is true information.

Metallic/Gray orb was flight just above a layer of clouds in the opposite direction of my flight.

I was on an Alaska Airlines flight from Miami to Seattle this past Sunday, June 4. The flight was scheduled to land at 9:25 but we landed a little early.

I usually sit in seat "A" (left side of the plane) so I can take pictures of the mountains (Rainier etc.) to the south before landing in Seattle.

I am not sure whether I was in Eastern Oregon or Washington but I started looking out the window for mountains in the distance. We were flying just above a layer of clouds and there were several breaks in the clouds.

There was a layer of clouds below us and that's when I saw this gray circular-looking orb just above a lower layer of clouds traveling eastward (Opposite direction of Seattle). I've seen planes go the other way before and they never appear to fly in a straight line.

This thing flew in a straight line and was going at least as fast as a commercial airplane. I followed it with my eyes until I couldn't see it anymore. I was close to the front of the plane in 6A. Once out of view, I looked back in the plane but I didn't hear anyone react. Maybe no one else saw it?

An object that sounds like a prop airplane

Had just come home from day out at the movies. I asked my dog to get his favorite toy. A stuff Scooby-Doo. We went outside to play a little. I heard an airplane approaching. It was a sound of a propeller airplane. The sound a single engine prop airplane. I was looking at the northwestern when I saw it flying west and close enough but still out of sight to see if its an airplane. The airplane looked white or that was what my brain was thinking. I lost it in the sky here and there. I took out my cellphone and took some pictures of it and aimed the phone in the direction it was flying. I plugged my ears and unplugged them and the sound of the airplane was gone but I could still see the object going west. I kept my sights on it and it disappeared. I went back in the house and I examined the pictures. I took two good pictures of the object. The object in the first picture has a whitish triangle with three lights that make up a triangle and a dome in middle. The second picture has just the three lights with faint triangle. Both of the pictures have the object with black tips at the pointy ends of the triangle.

I was operating a flight as a pilot from OAK-ONT. For about 10 minutes while flying south, looking eastb over the Mammoth portionof the Sierras, I saw 3 orbs of light alternately glowing bright and then fading. These objects were stationary relative to our aircraft during entire sighting, giving us the idea that they are very distant. However, these lights would reposition relative to each other and move in ways that showed incredible speed. Twice, one of the lights appeared to streak across the sky.

Four to five pulsating bright lights that would fade in and out and would move around each other.

Flying between Austin, TX and Montreal at 41,000 feet over the Great Lakes, we saw four to five bright lights for a period of at least thirty minutes. They were in front of us and well above us in altitude, and although we traveled well over two hundred miles during that time they always seemed to remain the same distance out ahead of us (hard to tell how far, but they were not close….maybe a hundred or more miles ahead of us). These lights moved up and down and from side to side and would disappear and reappear, and their level of brightness would change constantly. White in color. Another airliner reported seeing the same thing. Air traffic control said they had no traffic above us and recommended we report here.

Moon behind diffuse clouds. Not moon.

Looked out of blinds in a N-NW direction. about 7:15 local time. saw what I thought was full moon behind diffuse cloud cover. It had been cloudy and overcast earlier. I was closing blinds across the Western side of living room. After I thought about it--- that seemed to be a place the moon couldn't be. So- I went outside and saw nothing there. Also -- once my eyes adapted to the dark I saw that the sky was completely clear of clouds. The object was a bright round disk as big or slightly larger than a full moon--- and has the appearance of the moon behind thin clouds---- like a light with a white or grey shade over it. Brightness was similar to the full moon behind clouds as well. It was about 20 degrees above the horizon and in a N-NW direction. I suppose it could be described as an "orb"………. I stood outside for about 10 minutes but saw nothing else.

Over 30 min, observed a starlike object, moving rapidly in the vertical, and horizontal, varying intensity, for 5-10 seconds each time.

Delta 8934 MIA-MSY, B757, flight level 380, we began to observe a small, point-light object moving rapidly in the vertical and horizontal. The sighting was towards our 11 o’clock and we were headed due West, over the Gulf of Mexico, offshore from KSRQ, approximately between BAGGS and REMIS waypoints.

It was a very dark night, and we had the lighting as dim as possible in order to help us detect thunderstorm build ups over the Gulf. The object appeared intermittently over about 30 minutes, and would vary in brightness intensity. Sometimes the object glowed very bright, much brighter than a typical planet. Then it would fade to a dim point, and accelerate in various directions, unlike most aircraft I’ve ever seen, including military fighter aircraft I have flown. It would appear for about 5-10 seconds each time. We observed it illuminate, and then accelerate rapidly straight down. It illuminated, and went pure vertical. It got very bright, then dim, and accelerated horizontally, and continued into an arcing zoom climb before fading out. A nearby shooting star occurred, which looked very distinct from this phenomena. Various iterations of these maneuvers occurred and the sighting was reported to ATC. ATC confirmed there were no unusual aircraft out tonight besides the usual traffic. At first sighting, the object appeared in the general direction of another airliner at 40 miles to our 11 o’clock, and had a very distinct appearance from strobed aircraft lighting. ATC then said there was a previous report in that area 2 hours prior.

We turned northwest towards HRV (New Orleans area) and lost sight of any further activity.

Size of a small commercial plane hovering like a drone very low over a residential neighborhood. Not a helicopter not a plane had red

I saw the ship while driving in an uber. Headed East on university Dr at 11:45 pm. It was the size of a small commercial aircraft. I couldn't tell what color it was. It had red and white lights. It was shaped like a cross similar to an airplane. I thought it was flying to low for something that big.. it also hovered like drone. It acted like a drone but was way to big and heavy looking it looked to be the size of 2 school buses side by side and as long about 60 feet long.hovered above the 2 story houses about 60 to 100 feet above the roofs. No sound and no wind.

Tic tac shapes moving about the sky at unbelievable speed playing tag. One goes straight up disappears. Others appear to enter sea.

Sitting on room balcony looking at stars when a tic tac bright white object appears and remains stable. Moves back and forth four times then four or five others appear, they are all stable for a few seconds then begin to move about in different directions and an unbelievable speed, almost like playing tag. Then one goes straight up and disappears. The others appear to drop into the sea. Never saw such a display and could not explain it. Do not believe that they were from this planet as the speed was so fast and they could just stop and hover. Did not know about this site or would have reported sooner. I do not drink, and a retired Detective Lieutenant NYCPD and my wife was a teacher. I feel we are reliable witnesses Open to being contacted..
