Bright red light that faded then suddenly then a second later a white streak shot to the east from where the red light was.

It was a little after sunset, I looked out my window to the South and saw a bright red light. At first I thought it was a glare so I moved but it was still there. So I got up and noticed it was really brighter than any plane so I took my camera and opened the door.

When I did I turned my camera on and the light seemed to dim then it was gone but a second later I noticed a streak of light (white) from where it was and it shot to the east it almost looked like a shooting star.
