Tone heard throughout home

I lived in a mobile home on 6 1/2 acres about thirty miles outside Shreveport, Louisiana. My home was 3 1/2 acres from a two lane highway acroos a pond. I woke up and in the middle of the night and heard a strange "TONE". This tone seemed to be surrounding the mobile home. I got up and looked out the windows and the window to the front door. I did not saw only darkness outside. The tone was reverberating throughout the home and seemed very close. I walked to the other side of the bed after looking out the windows and attempted to wake my husband. I was shaking him and telling him to wake up. He sat up and I said, "Do you hear that? What is that noise?" And this is the weird part. My next memory was waking up in bed on my side on my back ( I never sleep on my back ) with my arms folded across my chest ( mummy style ). The first thought I had was how did I get like this! I have no history of sleep disorders and do not take drugs. I asked my husband immediatly if he remembered the night before when I woke him and his reply was " yes, didn't you say you heard something?" And that was all he remembered. I also had a small child at the time and she was safe in her room when this was going on. That morning I rushed to my mother-in-laws to ask her if she heard anything that night. She said no, but later that day I visited my mother and went directly to the piano and instantly picked out the single note that vibrated through my home the night before. It stayed with me for days. Naturally people thought I had dreamt the whole thing but I expressly remember going to my husband side of the bed and shaking him awake. Anyway that is my story. I never saw a thing but the tone satys with me to this day. What do you think about that? ((name deleted))

Strange light in the southern sky (Oklahoma, 1988).

I remember the date of this sighting because it was the day before my grandmother died.

It was around ten o'clock at night (I don't recall the exact time),and I stepped outside our house (I was 19 at the time) south of Stonewall, Oklahoma, and looked up at the southwestern sky. There on the horizon (high enough that it wasn't anything land based) was a large (larger and lower than the stars) whitish-amber light, "sitting" perfectly still. I had lived at this location all my life then, and had never seen anything like this light before.

For about a minute or more, the light was perfectly still, and then it started moving slowly eastward. Over the course of probably two minutes it moved from the southwestern sky to the southeastern quadrant of the sky. Then it stopped and remained stationary for perhaps two or three more minutes, whereupon it simply went out, as if someone had flipped a switch and turned it off.

Over the period of perhaps the next three years, I saw something similar to this sighting perhaps three more times. Once my mother (now deceased) witnessed it with me, and another time my brother did. Neither of them had any idea of what it was, either.

Objects over northern DeSoto Parish, Louisiana 1983

I was going home to a rural area near Shreveport Louisiana with my 7 year old son when I noticed two lights in the sky in the direction I was traveling. They were at a pretty high altitude because I could see them well up and over the tree line. They were a good distance apart so I immediately thought they were a couple of planes either heading for Shreveport Regional Airport or Barksdale Air Force Base.

I took my attention back to the road since it was at dusk dark and proceeded to drive on south towards my home and in the direction of the lights. I could no longer see them due to the trees along the road.

When I got about a quarter mile from my house I came to a clearing in the trees that allowed a good view to the east and when I looked up at the darkening sky I saw the lights again. This time I saw they were not just lights. They were two objects, eliptical in shape, almost oval, and had three lights emitting from them. One of them was rotating on a center axis but neither was moving horizontal or vertical.

I stopped to get a better look and I saw various planes flying around the objects with the familiar red and green lights but the lights on the objects were white, yellow, and red.

My son became frightened at the excitement in my voice so I drove on home. I ran in to get my wife to come out and look since I estimated the objects were at least 4 to 5 thousand feet up and would have been plainly visible from my home but when we ran back out they were gone.

I looked every night after that for a long time in the same area where they were and never saw them again.
