Fast moving craft

I observed some kind of craft at very high altitude coming from a SW direction to the NE in a parallel line. Then it jumped to the left in the sky and continued in a straight line. This thing did not just change paths gradually, it was instantaneous.

Stationary cylinder that quickly disappeared after several minutes.

While jogging at night and heading generally northwest on Shelly drive, my daughter and I both saw a grey cylinder motionless in the air. We thought maybe a blimp, but there were no navigation blinking lights on it. There was no sound coming from it. We thought maybe an odd cloud or something, but it was very well defined in the shape of a cylinder, essentially the shape of a commercial aircraft fuselage without a nose, tail, or wings.

We continued jogging and watching it until we ran beneath some live oak trees. As soon as we emerged from beneath the tree canopy, the cylinder was gone. When we returned to the site where we originally saw the shape a few minutes earlier, there was nothing in the sky.

Neither of us were jogging with a phone/camera so unfortunately we have no pictures. We looked for social media posts to see anybody else saw anything. Closest we could find was a Starlink siting in a northern part of the state. Pictures on those posts did not look like what we saw. Those were moving objects that made a relatively bright line. What we saw was stationary and a much wider shape than typical Starlink pictures.

Driving northwest at the corner of Kaliste Saloom Rd and Kensington looked up and saw a string of about 9 orbs in a straight line

After seeing these orbs, I backed my truck up to get my phone inside my house to take a photo and came back outside and the orbs were gone. It looked like a satellite deployment but it seems like they would not have disappeared within the 30 seconds it took me to backup in my truck, run in the house and look back to the NW. I stared at the night sky in all directions after that but saw nothing but a few planes. The Lafayette airport in northeast of our home and we see planes all the time. I am sure someone else had to have seen these orbs, as they were bright white and not as high as was the last time I saw a satellite deployment.

There was a main larger orb in front and smaller orbs following the front orb. It looked like a satellite deployment but why did they disappear so quickly.

A straight line of 23 lights, at first appeared to be a slow comet but when overhead it appeared to be an airplane exhaust but with 23 lights in a straight line heading East South East from River Road near the Lafayette regional airport. I would guess a similar altitude of an airplane moving faster 1000 mph or more...

Heading south on Route 219 near Lafayette, PA around 9:10pm. At 6:56 am this morning, what I assume was a huge piece of space junk hurled down in the northeast. I was driving northeast at the intersection of Kaliste Saloom Rd and Camellia Blvd in Lafayette. It came from my left to right at about 25 degrees but it seemed close to Lafayette, LA. Probably 2 seconds visual and It resembled a crane boom breaking into pieces- glowing bright white. Moving downward at a slight arc from left to right while facing NE.

Walking my dog looked up and saw what I thought was a balloon floating by but as I watched it I noticed it zoomed back and forth.

Walking my dog I noticed a light that looked like a star. First I assumed it was a balloon catching the sunlight or a white bird. As I watched it it began to zoom back and forth. The longer I watched the more it did various maneuvers. I then noticed 3 others pop in and out of the clouds. I watched for several minutes and finally grabbed my wife to confirm. We watched these 4 “stars” for quite some time zip in and out between clouds, do spirals up and down and float up and down. Then 7 stars or orbs flew by in a V formation between the others. Then came back around and floated off again. Not sure if ball lightning or what but definitely not balloons or birds.

It got my attention so I continued to to watch as more lights added on coming from out of nowhere and getting in the back of the line .In there 3 minutes or so that I watched I counted331 lights . When my uber arrived I pointed the lights out to him .He alsofoundthem very unusual .just white round lights .There were no colored or flashing lights visible . If I had to guess from my view on the ground about an inch apart and were going from my left to the right staying at what seemed to be the same height.

A brighly flashing multi-colored light in the night sky over Colorado viewed for a half hour.

I noticed a lone brightly blinking star of an unusual/changing shape in the night sky, and got my binoculars. The "star" was pulsing sharp bright flashes of red, blue, and green, and multiple colors could be seen at the same time. My roommate witnessed a portion of this phenomenon also. After about 30 minutes it began flashing mostly red. I had put my phone down and turned my back for about 10 seconds to get the phone to take one more video, and when I looked again it was gone.

I was driving down US-287 in Lafayette near the Baseline intersection and something shiny caught my eye in the sky. I continued trying to look at it but was difficult since I was driving so I pulled over to get a better look and take the video. I saw a pill-shaped cylindrical craft that was silver and shining in the sun. The ends were dark, middle silver, and there was a small box or something hanging off but it's hard to point out what it is. It was moving much like a mylar balloon would, it was rotating in the sky, first doing a vertical flip and then precisely changing to a horizontal flip position and back and forth. I was almost positive it was a mylar balloon until I saw it's abrupt motion in between flips, something moves it, it does not follow the wind and is much to repetitive to be the wind picking something up, it's more methodical than that. I have never been so freaked out in my life. I called my family in tears just saying "this is not pos! sible". I called the aviation center and the FAA couldn't tell me much, I'm hoping you can. It was probably around 400-500ft in the sky when I spotted it and would go up and down roughly 1000-2000 ft or so. You can see a plane fly over in the beginning of the video and it does a good job of being able to tell how far out the craft was. It was much lower than a plane but much higher than a drone. The video does such a better job at explaining it. I really can't believe I caught the video I did, I sent it to the FAA like I said, and they said they had several people look at it and they were unable to determine what it was. Any help would be so appreciated. I feel like I just discovered something and no one cares!

16 Lights following each other in a row

String of lights, each following each other in formation of a line. Slowly traveled across sky from south to north horizon. Some lights traveled closer to one light then back to a well spaced distance from the other light. Each was about half the light of Venus. They only were white light in color. No flashing lights like air planes. Seemed to hover and float. No sound. Took about five minutes to travel from one horizon to the other.

I was the only one that witnessed this although I'm sure anyone in my city probably saw it too. I am a retired computer network engineer. I witnessed this in front of my residence.

I was casually looking at the sky with the sky map app on my phone when I saw something on the horizon. At first I thought it was a plane with its landing lights on. However, it made an immediate 180 degree turn, and quickly disappeared. I've watched many planes fly and am not really a believer of Alien UFO's but never in my life have I seen this before . I am familiar with aircraft and drones, this behavior was not either. A bright light similar to an aircraft landing light was traveling across the horizon westbound, abruptly made a 180 degree turn towards the south, sped up, and disappeared. I am a police officer with experience as a Tactical Flight Officer, I don't really believe in alien ufo's but have never seen something like this. I Googled how to report and it lead me here.

Traveling southbound on us 52 near the intersection of county road 450 I witnessed four lights in a row that were just hovering above the highway and a nearby field. Three of the lights were similar in shape to rounded street lights but much brighter and white, the third light was blinking extremely fast next to that light was a bright red light. he middle of the white lights had a white hue around it similar to that of a flashlight . I at first thought it might of been a life line helicopter landing. The closer I got to it the more it just looked off, the lights were either moving apart or the closer I got the more space I noticed between the lights. I didn't witness anything between the light, but I saw something like a field or something around them in like a rounded rectangular shape. It wasn't until I driver underneath it and heard my car echo similar to going under a bridge or in a tunneI decided to get out and take a picture of it or a video or some! thing because I didn't hear it and realized that it was right on top of me. As soon as I parked my car and opened my door it was gone. I didnt see it fly away and I don't think I heard it.

Boomerang shaped UFO silently flies across sky in Lafayette Colorado.

A boomerang-like shape slowly flew above us in a straight line. It had sort of gray dots, I assume maybe lights along the craft. They were slightly scattered. From where we were, it looked about three times the size of a plane, in a boomerang shape. We had sighted several planes prior to this, none of which going this direction or of that size. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before. It was silent, though there was wind so that could've blocked any possible noise.It seemed to blend in with the sky as well and it was pretty dark out, but we could still make out the boomerang-like shape. I could see a soft glow around the object. I apologise for not being able to put in the time above. But it was around 7:35 PM when we spotted it.

4 crafts/objects in night sky. Each one occupying a particular, navigable direction. Moved in manner that defied physics. Phenomenal.

Exactly Four crafts hovering and zagging, in different sections of the night sky with a full moon being the backdrop. It seemed three of them were waiting for the one in the most southernly direction to do something bc its light was the brightest and it was the one closest to the ground. The motion of all of the other three crafts were quick horizontal and vertical movements, in relation to where each craft was positioned in the sky but relatively stationary. The one in the northernly direction moved more erratic than the others and thats what made it known that me and my friend were looking at something unusual. None of the crafts made noise nor was a sound barrier broken when the easternly one moved an absurd distance in less than 1.5 seconds and came to an immediate stop and hovered stationary again. Then all 4 crafts, points of light, whatever they were, dashed and disappeared in a southernly direction simultaneously and instantly.

Musician had been experimenting with recording via cell-phone a digital piano and a vacuum-tube amplifier. Strangely, overtones of interference were heard even though the default Voice Memos app shouldn’t have been transmitting or receiving the sound data being recorded. It was clear that the interference was correlated to the microphone input, and moving the device around the speaker produced feedback sounds in the amplifier. This seemed impossible and was evidence that the phone was in-fact transmitting data that it “should not have” been transmitting as the musician assumed the data recorded, stored, or played-back his Voice Memo application was protected.

With the phone in the direct center of the speaker, he heard a ringing in his ears and was a bit confused – and had reason to believe this possibly caused an accidental distortion of spacetime itself. Note this point: He listened to an analog recording of the same moment, then walked outside to listen to it on his cell phone. He noted the numerical number of the recording, and was surprised to hear that there were obvious time-domain distortions with the recording, and the pitch of the notes was shifted significantly and warbling in places. He didn’t imagine that the crystal-clock in the phone would be affected by the speaker, and was beginning to think that he had captured evidence of true time distortion.

As he was outside listening, he noticed that the dogs were barking more frantically, and that the weather was changing rapidly – almost instantaneously. As the wind got more violent, bugs began flying upward and leaves and small particles also began levitating or moving toward a general direction. It really seemed to him that an immense force of gravity was pulling everything towards a point in the sky, and there was a loud electromechanical buzz which sounded like two separate electric motors. Suddenly, a spinning saucer craft about 13-17 ft in diameter with a slowly revolving outer sheet-metal body appeared out of the very spot his eye was drawn to, and it swooped down to land a street or two over. He felt the electromagnetic sounds through his feet as the device landed, and fled from the scene, leaving his phone.

After returning some days later, he noticed that the recording he heard the time-distortion effects had been replaced with a recording that started at “note this point.” And had “continued” recording for over 7 hours, complete with the sounds of the craft captured and the sounds of him running through and locking his house even though he was not recording anything at the time. Except that the “playback” of the time distortion had been flipped out of phase and edited from this altered, replacement recording. He heard strange sounds on the radio as well.

First the space station, then another distinct light crossed it, hesitated and zigzagged opposite it until disappearing.

We were watching the International Space Station cross the sky on its designated trajectory at the time reported by our local TV station weatherman. As it disappeared into the NE sky, another smaller lighted object appearing to be higher and farther up from the station, intersected the path, coming from the SE, hesitated, then zigzagged at irregular speed then suddenly sped up and disappeared upwards and towards the NW.

The object was too distant and not as bright as the space station, but we definitely saw it as we stood looking upward. We routinely watch for the station to pass over when the night is clear and the weatherman announces to look for it. It was too far to make out any shape. No photos, no video, it happened so fast; we were shocked, in disbelief, and because it was so far away, I don't think getting an image w/ our phones would have been possible.

Just wondering if anyone else saw it. Looked like a distant shooting star but it was weaving back an forth on purpose, traveling opposite the normal orbit of the space station.

Cluster of White Lights Attached by Beam to a Larger Light

At about 9PM last evening I was driving with my 18-year old son in rural Lafayette, NJ, when my son alerted me to a light anomaly that he was seeing in the sky: one large, round white light attached to a cluster of smaller, white lights via a long beam of oval, translucent light tapering at each end. None of the lights were moving. I could only see one, large round light.

As we drove in a Southerly direction, toward home, the lights remained stationery and in view until they became obscured by mountains. He and I had been attending his High School sports awards ceremony. Earlier, at about 8:05 PM, I'd taken a photo of the restaurant where the ceremony was being held (which I'll be forwarding by email). When we looked at the photo we saw that, in actuality, there were two, not one, large, round bright lights (at upper right), and two clusters of smaller white lights. And as you will see in the photo, the clustered lights appear to be triangular in shape.

Initially observed lighted mass upon leaving south side Urgent Care and it appeared to be above or close to grocery plaza on 231.

When we approached Alcoa on Teal we both thought there was a small plane above the factory with various lights both flashing and non but as we got closer realized it was not a small plane and it wasn't really moving. It appeared to be hovering and although it was dark and almost 9:30 pm, we could make out a triangular shape. The size appeared to be that of a small car in length. 5-6 ft maybe?

As we turned left onto US 52 it was no longer in sight.

Look like eclipse of Sun as just a slither could be seen, like something transparent covering the Sun, but Sun had been down for 45 mins? After I thought about it, I thought maybe it was some odd reflection in the sky of the Sun in the West, as it was low on the Horizon also. But the size was too Large for it to be anything but Sun, Moon, or unexplained object in sky.

I went home to get Wife and Son to see it, but it was gone. In fact I asked my Son if there was an event he forgot to tell me about as he follows weather closely. I am sure someone seen besides me, as roads were fairly busy at the time. I have seen comets before, or One burn in the sky, but this was stationary and Large.

Bright white light

The object was pulsating in the western sky, it did not appear to move in any direction. The object would pulsat from orange in color to a bright white, it got larger in size the brighter it got.

In approximately 5 minutes of seeing the object, it went from a bright white to blue in color and disappeared.

Looking up while at a gas station in Lafayette, noticed a triangle object flying from Broomfield area to Boulder, it was moving both strangely and quick.

Its trajectory was east to west with the weather coming from southwest.

It had a spin and a wobble, but yet clear speed and direction.

In a about a minutes time, it had gone from the eastern horizon over Broomfield and beyond sight over the Boulder horizon to the west.

Was strange enough to look up if anything was reported on the news, and came across this sight.

Me and three other people saw what looked to be circular balls of light flying in sequence one after another. They were a fire-like orange color and appeared to flicker like flames.

They came from the horizon North-Northeast and grew increasingly brighter until they reached a bright flicker, and continued to travel in a straight line until they faded dark as they approached the horizon Southeast.

The objects appeared to be flying at a high altitude.

They were flying above the community of River Ranch. We saw them when we were in a parking lot of the River Ranch area.

The objects moved across the sky at a steady pace and was visible for about a minute. The objects came into sight randomly between 21:10 and 21:19. There was one earlier sighting of which I did not note the time, but I estimate to be 21:00.

I heard what I believe to be a low hum coming from the objects.

My close friend and elder brother were with me. I witnessed the first one alone. They didn't believe me and thought them to be drones. After they witnessed the other three together with me, they also could not explain what they saw.

One witness is a programmer, the other an editor, and I am a student, musician and writer. The fourth witness was a cleaning lady who was passing by, and said that she had never seen anything like it and believed it to be alien crafts.

Sometimrs 4-5 flashing in 2 different color lights. Hovering or darting in quick movements at most times. It moved from side to side amd up and down in quick motions.

Within half an hour there was 8 commercial planes that flew around it which is unusual for that many in this area. At this time is moving south but losing visibility due to larger trees and its quickness.

Bright white light moving northerly to southerly, slowly dimming to unobservable, not ISS or aircraft, it lasted about 2 minutes.

At about 22:28 I witnessed a bright white light moving slowly about the same speed as the ISS crosses the sky, no flashing strobes to indicate an aircraft. the object was high in the sky but just east of my location in Lafayette, CA., it moved generally north to south for about two minutes and as it did it slowly dimmed to unobservable. I immediately checked the NASA "sightings" website for the ISS for my area but the next possible sighting for the ISS is on 7/6/16, meaning this was not the ISS that I witnessed. of course it was very dark, no moon, and there were no clouds or trees to obscure the visibility. At its brightest I would say it was twice as bright as the apparent brightness of the brightest star in the sky at that time.

A cigar-shaped craft w/ a highly reflective surface heading south then southeast.

A single cigar shaped object traveling due south it seemed to have a highly reflective surface appearing to reflect the setting sun.

Suddenly the craft was no longer reflecting the setting sun, and was hard to follow against the sky, but I was able to follow it bc me and my witness never took our eyes off of it.

At that point it began to gain altitude and accelerated and rapidly disappeared heading in a south easterly direction.

While looking through my 11 inch SCT Telescope, I saw a black object on the moon's north east quadrant.

Based on the size of the Moon's straight wall, I would estimate the size to be 3 miles long. It looked like a small wooden splinter you would get when loading lumber.

While visiting a friend in Louisiana. The shape is hard to describe. Chevron is the closest.

While entering the back door from backyard, about 10:45 PM, I heard a flock of geese honking and flying overhead, so my attention was drawn to the sky. Above the geese, far up in the night's sky, I could see a strange aircraft moving slowly West in the opposite direction of the geese. At first I thought of a stealth bomber, but it was too big. Kind of chevron like, three rows of lights. Large. Medium grey against a dark sky. Almost same color as sky but you could see the shape and lights. Just North of Orion's Belt from my view, heading slowly west.

The house roof hid it for a moment so I went to the north side of the house and it appeared to have changed course towards the right, traveling slowly, going farther North. I could see more details under the craft, still saw the rows of lights (not blinking), flying lower than I'd expect to see an airplane. It flew behind the tall oak trees, so I could no longer see it.

I am a 64 year old, retired school teacher, and had not been under any drug or alcohol influences.

Half V formation lights with plan not far behind.

I saw at least 12 lights in the shspe of a half triangle. It was moving from west to east pretty quickly. I kept adjusting my eyes because it looked like birds in the "V" formation, except the right side was shorter on lights. I am still trying to understand ehat it was.

As it faded in the distance a plane was following it. The plane had a flashing light so I knew what it was. I ran back to my truck and jumped on google and twitter using key words hoping someone in the area saw the dame thing. It was also very silent. If I had not looked up while walking my dogs I would have never known.

The sky was pitch black but when looking towards the South/West I saw an object(s) with numerous lights. One of the lights was pulsing a purplish white type color and it was almost blindig and the light was vastly bigger than all thee other lights near it or around it. It was placed in front of a smaller light that was blinking and it had a blue hue to it. Then to the right of those two lights was a light that was white and yellow that stayed on continuously along with another light to the right of it that was pulsing a light red and white light that would pulse in some type of code type thing... Then directly to the left and a little below all of those lights and next to thee pulsing purplish light was a bright yellow light that was much smaller then the rest of the lights. They were all basically bunched together and doing the pulsng, blinking, etc, simultaneously.. Then it began to rise up and move towards me.. There was absolutely no sound… I've seen many a craft before but, nothing like this... it was a God awful vibe I never want to witness again so I'm not sure how long it lasted because I ran inside after 10 minutes...

Apparently high altitude dark amber light with a tail moving in a straight line from west to east, 6:08 pm to 6:10 pm, Lafayette, Ca.

One dark amber light about the same (apparent) altitude, size and speed of the ISS crossed almost directly overhead moving from west to east as seen from my location in the center of downtown Lafayette, CA. I first noticed it overhead at 6:08 PM as it was still coming from the western nighttime sky and it continued toward the east in a straight line. I continued to watch it until it reached the eastern horizon. In the moonlight I noticed it had a tail, possibly a smoke trail, which was long, light colored, and straight extending backwards a long way. once I saw the tail and because of its relatively slow speed, I realized it was probably not be ISS because a smoke trail would not appear the same as it does in our atmosphere. Due to its slow speed, I assume it could not have been a meteor. The object's color could possibly be described as a fire viewed from a great distance which makes sense because it had what appeared as a smoke trail behind it. it had no b! linking lights and did not change in color even as it reached the eastern horizon. It also appeared as though it were at high altitude based on observations of many aircraft over my lifetime. I could not hear any sound from it.

Note; because of my swing shift hours of work at a dark hilltop secure location from which I am now retired, I have witnessed many ISS crossings at night as well as one very striking meteor as it was breaking up, over the years. So I am familiar with the apparent speed and color of the ISS as well as the differences between aircraft at night as well as meteors.

I saw a triangle-shaped craft heading South along Highway 287 just 10 miles East of Boulder CO. It was silent and had no lights. I had my window down in my car and it looked huge. I noticed it because it was a clear night and I was looking out at the bright stars. It was grey and against the backdrop of the black sky stuck out like a sore thumb. It looked as if it was traveling at an altitude of 4,000-6,000 ft. elevation and was huge - like 400-800 ft. long. I witnessed it for 6-10 seconds.

Standing in the shopping mall at the intersection of Johnston St. and Ambassador Caffrey at 8 PM, saw pulsing or blinking lights high above the horizon at sunset. I at first thought the lights were the landing lights of a plane or helicopter--seemed stationary.

All at once, the light moved at high speed diagonally for some distance and then the object was again stationary for some thirty seconds or so. Then, it dropped down at great speed where it was stationary at just above the horizon. I suspect a drone of some kind, as no plane or helicopter could move at such speeds and in such a fashion.

On this site, I found a similar report in the same area in January of this year.

One night around 8:30 I stepped out on balcony for a quick smoke. After lighting my cigarette I looked and approximately less than a quarter of a mile i seen two red lights hovering over the trees. Suddenly, the object started rising slowly and as it came down ot turned into a blue circle. Each time it rose it went higher amd higher. It moved like no object ive evr seen and it dified all laws of gravity. I got the feeling it watching me so i got nervous and went inside to tell my family about it who were also able to see it. Ever since that we never saw again.

Red, green and white lights flew in, hovered, reversed course to depart. Not airplane or helicopter.

I am an amateur astronomer with 50 years of sky watching, thousands of hours, a college degree in Geology. Until now I have never seen anything in the sky that could not be explained as a natural, although sometimes unusual, event.

I was out in my yard looking for meteors and relaxing when an object appeared from behind my roof. It was in the SW sky about 15-18 degrees above the horizon, moving to the ESE and caught my attention, initially as an airplane with red, green and white lights over the trees. It was far enough away that the body of the craft was not discernible, due to its bright lights, and it was clearly high in the sky being visible over the trees at the back of my property. I glanced directly at it, and immediately thought there was something very odd, in that the lights were blurry, fuzzy looking. More like orbs than the lights of a plane. There were stars clearly visible nearby that were pinpoints of light so it was just odd in the cloudless sky.

The object was visible and moving West to SE slowly for almost five seconds until it slowed quickly and then stopped completely. My first thought was that the object was turning and only appeared to stop but the lights, which were clearly separate colors, were not reorienting themselves as a turning airplane would certainly do. The red and green light did not blink or change intensity. The white light on the right (West) side of the object was pulsating, dimming and brightening, unlike an airplane with strobes that blink. The object appeared to hover for about ten seconds with no other changes in the lights and then abruptly reversed its course back to the NW. The way that it started moving was too abrupt for a turning airplane, it was almost like a computer animation in that it seemed to jump to its path with no curving motion and a very short period of acceleration followed the initial jump.

I then maintained a very steady, straight path in departing. I was able to ! change position and watch the object for several minutes. I attracted my wife's attention and she was able to see the object also while it departed NW and disappeared near the horizon.

At no time did the orientation of the lights change as I would expect with an airplane. Nor were the lights pinpoints as typical with airplanes. These lights were diffuse orbs that were close enough to overlap. The brightness of the orbs and dark sky did not allow a hint of the actual shape of the object to show.

I have always been skeptical of stories told by others about lights in the sky because I had never seen anything that I felt was not "explainable" but this event has made me wonder just what I actually saw. I think that it was definitely not a "normal" aircraft and was obviously a craft under intelligent control.

It was an "unidentified" object that I hope others will have reported and perhaps identified as a natural object, but it was NOT something that I have ever seen before.

Twelve orange/red orbs glided across the sky of Lafayette, LA on Christmas Eve

Tonight, on Christmas Eve, my sister, my mother, my mothers boyfriend, and I all witnessed the same UFO sighting. My sister and I are university students, my mom is a executive assistant at a helicopter company, and my mothers boyfriend is a lawyer.

My mother and her boyfriend went outside to put a new registration sticker on my license plate and my mom immediately starting shouting for us to come outside and look at something.

My sister and I ran outside and my mom pointed up at the sky excitedly. We looked up and saw these orange/red orb looking objects in the sky. There were about twelve of them and they were gliding across the sky. It was completely silent and they looked as if they were pulsating; they would get brighter and dimmer.

They followed one another across the sky in a sort of line, but not a straight one. Some were closer to one another than others and a couple of them were in a triangle-like formation. The whole event lasted about two minutes and when they got about halfway across the sky, one by one they faded and disappeared.

I've always believed in UFOs but seeing one in person made my jaw drop. I sat outside for thirty minutes after with the hopes of seeing it again, but they never reappeared.

Object in distance darted in straight line, disappeared, showed up in new location and darted in another line, ~10 times

Looked out my eastern facing, vault ceiling window and noticed an object(s) that was moving around. It was only a pin prick in the sky. The behavior consisted of the object(s) moving in an area no larger than about a softball size circle from my perspective. I don't know if it was just one object or multiple objects.

Anyways, the object was moving in all straight lines. It was essentially starting on one edge of my softball perspective, streaking to another edge, seemingly disappearing, showing up on another edge and then streaking in a new direction.

So to describe that graphically, if you were to draw a circle on a piece of paper, draw a straight line from one point on the circumference to another point on the circumference, then repeat from two completely new points, roughly 10 times.

This happen roughly 10 times. Each time it reappeared I tried to study it but the motion was to quick to really see any detail on the very tiny object.

Two pale red lights one sitting right next to the other, appeared, hovered and moved across the sky.

As a pilot, I can assure you that what my friend and I saw was no airplane.

I was with my friend star gazing, looking up at the sky while lying on a blanket, what happened next occurred at ~23:30 on 9/23/14. Two pale red lights one sitting right next to the other, appeared out of nowhere, about 3° separated from each other.

They appeared almost directly above us in the sky and hovered there for roughly 10 seconds, they were 90° perpendicular to the ground, dead center in the top of the sky from my perspective, from that point they moved across the sky in an extremely fast fashion at an approximate heading of 180°.

They continued to move across the sky until they disappeared into the atmospheric haze at roughly 10-15° elevation.

During this time it was completely silent, no sounds of motors and/or jets, no flashing beacon/anti-collision lights from aircraft wings or empennages, just two solid red lights.

Based on pure speculation the lights appeared to be roughly 20,000 feet in the air and for them to be moving across the sky in excess of 15-20 degrees second that would have to mean they were moving extremely fast; Far faster than any aircraft that I know of.

I take a special pride in my ability to recognize planes at night and this is nothing like anything I have ever seen in my life..

It should also be noted that there were an abundance of shooting stars this night.

This sighting occurred at 30°12'13.51"N, 92° 2'28.84"W

brightest fastest thing i have ever seen in the sky, around lafayette, la area.

the sky was grey just after sunset. was heading back to Lake Charles from baton rouge after taking a state test. was on the phone with a friend and I saw it. It was so bright and so fast it was unreal.

There was a thin cloud horizontally it was maybe 6" thick in my view but probably quite large in reality. I saw it for about one second going so fast into the cloud and a split second later was on the other side of the cloud and within 2 to 3 seconds later it was out of the atmosphere. I could tell that it wasnt following the curvature of the earth. Instead, it faded into the atmosphere.

I really cannot stress how fast and how bright this thing was.

Family & I driving on IH10 just west of Lafayette. Traffic at a stand still when we noticed small dark object flying pretty low to north of highway over empty field.

Watched for around 1 minute until went behind trees & couldn't see anymore.

It flashed a bright blue light about every 15 seconds that lasted about 2 seconds.

Me and my son saw a falling object from about an eight of a mile away going down behind some trees. It was a clear and sunny day.

It was deep red like the color and translucence of a vehicles brake light. It fell slowly. Slower than a normal object would fall.

It was about the size of a dime at our distance.

The time is an approximation.

I was riding my bicycle when a light in the sky caught my eye. I looked up and saw a very bright circular object flying through the sky.

I don't believe that it was your average aircraft because it was going way to fast, and it was manuevering in a way I've never witnessed.

And it took a very sharp turn and disappeared.

Blue, green red pulsating light in the northeast sky above lafayette airport for 2 hours, then disappeared.

In the northeast sky a red, blue, green pulsating light appeared as a star like object. I viewed with a telescope but no distinction could be made indicating object must be far.

My wife witnessed and 2 hours later, the object was gone.

For the first sighting Me and a friend were outside talking, we were at a new years party and waiting for midnight when I noticed something in the sky way to high to be a firework no strobe just a orb orangish in color from what we saw, and seemed to be moving not fast, not slow, but not normal, and we both knew what we were seeing (now i could have sworn I saw one before but had no witnesses with me and what i observed was after watching it for a while when it disappeared it didn't just vanish it faded)so I turned to my friend and I said if this thing fades away we know exactly what we are looking at, And so it did so our minds were both blown needless to say we went in and told everyone but noone really took us seriously and that was that (I should say the "orb" as i describe it was neither gaining altitude nor descending and didnt have a clear straight path it was just moving ominously)However driving back home as we pulled up into our driveway I! had seen the same light from earlier so of course i was estatic and drug everyone (my fiancee, her mother, and my 17 year old brother) out of the car and into line of sight so they could see it also and thats when I noticed two more accompany the first one i saw and thats when it really got convincing, they were lined up together (all three) in a straight line almost like orions belt moving at a low speed to the southeast, and as the one from earlier had done the first one in this line stopped and began to fade until it wasnt visible, HOWEVER (and this was witnessed by all of us because I forced them to watch) the second and third proceeded on the same path until the second one caught up to where the first one faded then stopped in mid air and waited for the third one to catch up to it at that time seeming to join together and fading at the same time in the exact same place the first one did! At this point my mother in law was actually frightened and went inside I mean all! of us were blown away and there is no doubt what we saw that ! night ai rplanes?! NO helicopters? NO! miltary flares? NO! shooting stars? NO weather balloons? NO! NOTHING we have could just stop in mid air while maintaining altitude perfectly and just vanish! Even still, over cities every aircraft i believe is required to have a strobe which these did not. The way they moved, looked, felt, just.. yea we saw UFOs no doubt in any of our minds! Well thank you guys and i hope this story helps for future reference my eyes are glued on the sky and i will be prepared with a camera next time!

Single file bright lights appear then disappear

12 to sixteen bright lights traveling in a single file line. They would appear in the north at around 30 degrees up in the sky from eye level, then move to a point to the northwest about forty five degrees up in the sky from eye level, then they would fade until they all disappeared in the same location. It was very clear and stars were visible all around the locations of the lights.

A long string of nearly white (towards yellow) lights moving along a line from south to north.

February 24, 2014

On the evening of October 19th, 2013, at approximately 7:00 PM, we were driving south on Interstate 65, approaching Mile Marker 175, when we noticed across the horizon in front of us extending from south to north a random string of mostly white lights. We counted over fifty in the sky at a time.

Each was small in size and not connected to any others but traveling at the same speed and staying mostly within a formation. The lights were singular, moving in the same direction and at the same speed with some minor movements and adjustments detectable, some singles, some doubles and some triples, but each appearing to move individually.

It took over two minutes to reach from where each light first came into view from the south before it left our line of site to the north. All told, we watched for more than five minutes, first stopping on the Interstate and then driving ahead to the nearest exit and stopping again in a safer location.

The altitude appeared to be greater than 2000 feet but less than 3500 feet, based solely upon our experiences living in close proximity to a small regional airport for many years and witnessing many small plane take-offs and landings as well as fly arounds.

There was no sound recognizable emanating from the white lights as could be detected over the sound of the vehicles on the highway.

We captured two short sections of video with an iPhone which clearly shows what we were witnessing.

Fire-orange glowing craft moved forward quickly, stopped, hovered, changed directions quickly, stopped, then disappeared into thin air.

Bright orange glowing craft. Flew quickly into view in straight line and stopped, moved to the left a bit and then to the right. It was during this time I was able to observe that object appeared to have 2, maybe 3, glowing orange circles situated close together on one object. Object then moved quickly to the left what seemed to me to be about one hundred feet, but was most likely in actuality much farther, then just disappeared. My first thought when I saw it was "what the hell is that?" For the duration of my observation I was in awe. I have never observed an aircraft to move in that fashion, and most definitely have not seen any fire-orange craft ever in the sky above. It was a most exciting, yet terrifying, experience. I was almost frightened, and am having difficulty describing exactly what it was I saw. I am in the city in a subdivision, so the background was just the night sky with a few trees along the street. I was just going to get the gr! oceries out of my vehicle. I was a bit frightened because of the way the object moved, and then remained stationary for a bit, it almost seemed as though it might be scanning the area below. Although it was not close enough to be a threat, by all measures approximately three times as far up as an airplane would pass over my residence, it had an ominous feel to it. Because of the unusual nature of the object, naturally I wanted to hide, but was mesmerized and instead followed the path of the object until it simply disappeared into thin air directly above me.

Strange light disappears.

Around 7:30 my son and I went to look at the sunset and take some photos as it was particularly beautiful. Once down we were walking home and we saw the first of the stars come out as it was getting darker. Venus was obvious as was another, slightly brighter light almost due west approx 25 degrees off the horizon. I figured it was another of the planets and was pointing it out to my son. We watched it for a little while until I figured it would get lost in the clouds that were slowly moving in. However when the clouds covered it, the light was still visible. The planets surely aren't bright enough to shine through the clouds, so we kept watching until it suddenly winked out. The light was constant, not moving, not blinking. The sun was at such an angle that craft over 30k feet were leaving bright contrails. For the next half hour we watched and it didn't reappear, nor were other craft visible from the approximate location.

3 orange lights in a delta pattern, moving north, then north-east.

As I was driving through Lafayette around 10pm on June 22nd 2013, I started to see 3 bright orange lights in a delta pattern in the sky in the direction of the moon, between clouds, south-east of where I was. It was a somewhat cloudy night, the moon was only visible on and off. At that point I was at the coordinates +40° 24' 17.18", -86° 52' 46.19". I kept driving, and the lights seemed to be moving north. I eventually stopped and got out of the car. I didn't hear any noise in the direction of these lights, and they soon disappeared from view behind trees. At that time they seemed to be moving north-east. It seemed to me that the 3 lights were from 3 individual crafts. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me that day. It is difficult to estimate how high these objects were in the sky or how fast they were really moving. They could have been as low as 300ft moving slowly, and as high as 3000ft, moving faster.

Spiraling white lighted craft or object that disappeared, no noise,..not moving at fast speed, moving east.

Upon walking my girl-friend to her vehicle around 11pm, I noticed what appeared to be an aircraft light in the eastern sky, maybe 5 to 10 thousand ft. aloft. This object was not making any type of typical aircraft engine sounds, such as jet engines, or prop engine noise. My girl friend noticed that it seemed to rotate, like a thrown football spiral, as it did this, the only light coming from the object was white, which seemed to get brighter with the phase of each time it rotated around, and then slightly dim as it spiraled. We watched this object for almost a minute head east, no other strobe lights could be seen blinking, only white light. At that point, the object's white light started to dim, and eventually went out all together, not because of it moving away I don't believe,we watched a short time longer waiting to see if it came back on, it did not. The object was totally silent, uncommon for having an airport nearby in Indianapolis, and at Purdue Univ! ersity. Someone needs to check this area or skies out at night, not the first time seeing this.

I was standing outside smoking a cigarette with my girlfriend. We were both looking over to the eastern part of the sky and saw a big, bright, teal-colored sphere with a foggy aura about a quarter of the size the moon would appear in the sky but lower.

The object just kind of manifested and traveled to our left in an arching trajectory then vanished.

The sky was partly cloudy, but the aura of the object didn't appear to be caused by clouds directly. It seemed to have a second layer of fogginess around it, but it's hard to describe exactly.

The object was bigger than anything I have ever seen in the sky.

Bright orange lights over Lafayette Indiana

I stepped outside my apartment complex cause I heard a firetruck but as soon as I walked out the door I seen three bright orange lights traveling from east to west. They where moving fairly slow and at a low altitude. After they passed the apartment the light faded out quickly.

Then two more appeared, I yelled to my friend there are ufo's in the sky and a neighbor a few doors down popped around the corner and said there is more in the front. We went out front (east part of the building) and there was three more totaling eight that I had seem. They too flew west over the building and disappeared shortly after. The light just vanished and you couldn't tell anything ever happened. The neighbors boyfriend said he saw ten on his way home.

It is a very clear night and there isn't a cloud in the sky. It's odd how they vanished the way they did with the clear conditions. This isn't the first sighting I've seem in Indiana but it is the first I've seen in Lafayette. I've seen them in Kokomo, In also.

I am looking for an explanation to why would something so big not built by human intelligence visit...me.

It was around 3:33a.m. in the morning after falling to sleep watching television. Ancient Aliens on the History Channel was the last show of this sort of interest that I remember watching around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. that night. I get exited about ufos and once it's is on the air of television I can't put my fork down. lol I woke up out of a dream (can't really remember exactly what it pertained to but, I, at the time was really back infatuated with the paranormal events that were occuring accross America. I got off of my sofa and kept thinking about what it would be like walking on a battlefield where the U.S. would be in a sort of intense battle with E.T.s in spaceships you would see maybe in a dream or vision. I walked to the spacious ground area which was about 1 acre or so in length and 3/4 of a football field wide. My imagination is vivid and wide most of the time so I felt ok to see landed spaceships and pretend thing were flying in the night sky. Don't know for sure if I really saw something around there but it definitly was capturing and frightening. I got a little too scared so I said I'm going back inside. Didn't look back at all into the sky until I got up the stairs by my apartment and felt something in my atmosphere. [Thank God I just got an extension on this computer] I sort of felt curious so I.....started using suggestions...to see if I could get whatever I was sensing to reveal itself to me. I knew it wasn't a spirit so I'm not sitting up in my little leaky, dark, and lonely apartment by myself without being sure I would be at least absolutely safe.

Well, the moment got intense and once again that definite....feeling of unsurety hit me. Harder than my first encounter. I looked at the dish network sattelite, looked behind it into the sky, something told me to turn my entire body to the right and look up above the apt. building accross from me and quietly; w/ a syncronized....effort we connected with one another. 3 ! immensely, sleek, yet most emormous...floating like...with no ! gravitat ional pull and it took so long to disappear I took a comfortable position of facing it just to see what it was doing or going to do. It was in a formation of three; two side by side in the front of the formation and in the middle between the front two yet behind. In formation like a Navy division in ranks marching. The formation came up to a huge cloud big enough to cover all three objects. The front of the formation vanished behind the clouds like expected because I don't think ufos or extraterrestials want to...really be seen but expecting the unexpected the last one....IT NEVER DISAPPEARED. It's intense,.....BLINDING light shined through this dark gray early a.m. cloud like it never traveled behind anything and stayed there. I was soooo scared to where I was gonna go inside at this point in time in fear of some sort of (God forgive me for saying) possible undetectable attack. Still I waited. It sat behind the gray cloudfor about 30 seconds. And then it disappeared. Like i! t was never there and all I could do is stand there in awe and fright. I got this ufo website out of Dr. Lynne D. Kitei's book "The Phoenix Lights" and used it in hopes of getting in contact with her or someone who is employed with connection to this website who is experienced with people have post effects from close encounters on any kind. 2 silvery shiny rectangular crafts above Lafayette, CO 2pm 3/14/12

On Wednesday, March 14, 2011, ((sic. 2012)) around 2pm, I was heading south on Highway 287, descending the hill that is near the turn-off for the Dawson School (and near Jasper Rd.). Above the town of Lafayette, ahead of me, I could see something rectangular in shape spiraling upward into the air, above what seemed to be the area just east of Highway 287 and the intersection of Baseline Rd. The bright object was silvery and highly reflective. It would disappear when the flat surfaces were not hit directly by the sunlight. When the object changed position so that the flat surfaces reflected the sun, the object appeared to be rectangular in shape, with a tip pointing up into the sky. The trajectory was in a slightly south and strongly easterly direction and about a 45 or 50 degree angle.

About 20 or 30 seconds after the first object appeared and was ascending, a second one followed at the same angle. Both objects shone in the sunlight, spiraling (not in unison) upward. The second object almost caught up to the first object when suddenly, neither was visible any more. I am uncertain if they entered the clouds or simply disappeared, but I did not see them any longer.

There was a black helicopter flying northward to the west of Highway 287 when these objects were visible. It seemed to be almost parallel to them, lower in altitude, when they were at their highest points.

When I got to the vicinity of Arapahoe Rd., I stopped and got out of the car to go to a store. This was just a few moments after seeing the objects. I did not see any sign of the objects or hear aerobatic airplanes or jet sounds.

I wondered if I had been seeing fighter jets take off from Metropolitan Airport, 5 miles or so beyond Lafayette. I do not think this is the case, because the objects would have been much smaller at that distance, and I don’t think their shapes would have been discernible, though reflection off them probably would have been visible.

There is an airport in Erie, close to where I was when I saw these objects, but that airport would have been almost directly east of me, and possibly slightly north, behind me, when I saw these objects.

Stationary High-Magnitude Light Dimming Out

Returning home from a long bike ride shortly after the fall of night I was walking my bike in an open area along a bike path in the countryside --about 7 miles north of Cedar Rapids -- with open farm fields to my right & left when I noticed a striking pairing of objects. Both objects were stationary and appeared to be stars at first, although I wondered if one might be a planet. They were perhaps 2 to 5 degrees apart (uncertain exactly but not right next to each other). In retrospect 24 hours later I would hazard two finger widths apart.

Jupiter was visible about 50 degrees to the left of the pair and at roughly the same height above the horizon. My thought was it might be something that would be mentionable in a current astronomical magazine due to the strikingness of the combination. Only minutes to moments before, I was checking out 3 high-flying aircraft in the northern sky.

I had been out at night on my bike frequently all throughout this year and it must have seemed unfamiliar enough to me to zero-in on it so quickly when I first looked in another direction. The upper object was the brightest shining with almost approximately the same magnitude as Jupiter (although it seemed a bit smaller than Jupiter). The lower object was not especially exceptional other than possibly being a brighter star for a lower altitude. Both objects appeared whitish. Jupiter appeared to be about 25 to 30 degrees above the horizon incidentally.

Muddling the matter were high and elongated thin cirrus clouds nearing the pair.

Anyway as I was looking at the two the brighter one dimmed into nothingness quite abruptly (but it did breathtakingly dim as it wasn’t quite instantaneous). This occurred before any obscuring by clouds [emphasis: certainty].

The puzzling aspect however was that it appeared absolutely stationary and not moving like a satellite would be moving out of solar glare. Once years ago I viewed the ISS at Kennedy Space Center and that seemed to travel at a fair pace across the sky, though I wonder now how it would appear at the very end of visibility.

I noted the time via my cell phone at 18:05 hours. I then resumed riding and as best as possible given conditions continued to observe that area of the sky for almost 30 minutes but high and thin clouds had more or less covered that region of the sky preventing visibility in that region.

I was unable to get a clear fix on the second object which might have dimmed out soon after the first one or it may have been a star slowly masked by the cloud cover.

Red lights over Lafayette, Louisiana.

I am one that can usually find an explanation for just about anything, but last night July 15, 2011 at approximately 9:20 p.m., I went into the backyard of my Lafayette, Louisiana home and looked up in the sky facing North West, immediately I saw seven bright red/orange round objects/lights in a slightly staggered formation. I was stunned at what I was seeing and I started yelling for my boyfriend to “get out here”. Once he stepped outside he saw exactly what I was seeing.

As we watched, I would say it all took place over maybe a 5 to7 minute period. They moved horizontally towards the North while appearing to gain altitude and one by one they would disappear. Then, we noticed another one approaching from the West beginning at the horizon, just above a distant tree line, moving in the same direction as all the others. Then there were more coming from the same direction totaling 12 to 13 and they faded away one by one in roughly the same location in the North. During the entire occurrence there was no sound.

We tried to take pictures and video, but nothing was clear. We live on the outer edge of the city, so the sky is not affected by the city lights. There are only a few street lights in the subdivision. Also, I am very familiar with planes, stars and even shooting stars out here and these objects we saw were none of these.

Once everything was over, we were both in shock. I called one of the local news stations to find out if there were any reports and I was told none were called in. I then called the airport (knowing these were not planes) and asked if they had any planes taking off or landing at that time. As I was speaking with a gentleman at the airport, he told me they had one that was supposed to land at 9:30 p.m., but was running late and at that point I saw it flying across the sky and it looked nothing like what we had seen previously. It was moving across the sky at a much more rapid pace. I searched the internet for any other reports last night and this morning, but I found nothing. Then, I found this site and called the number given and now I am posting this detailed report of the occurrence.

Is there any other explanation for what we saw?

Elliptical shaped grey metal object moved west to east across summer sky around 6 to 7:30 p.m.

I was outside taking photos of the changing clouds in the sky when the sun’s reflection off the left bottom side of a moving elliptical shaped object caught my attention. It was about a half mile away, high above the tree tops and moving from west to east across the sky. It was approximately 6 to 7:15 p.m. on Monday, June 20, and happened in Lafayette, Colorado.

The object made no noise and was the color of steel. When I first saw it, I thought it was a plane since it was moving through the sky, but I definitely saw the rounded right side of it, so I was confused about its identity. I took a photo of it with my camera using the telephoto, and then continued to watch it cross the sky until it was no longer in my sight. It moved in a straight horizontal pattern and did not dart around. Its speed was similar to our airplanes. Since I was not even thinking about UFOs, but merely taking photos of clouds, the sighting caught me off guard; I was bewildered or I would have taken more photos as it moved off.

I was in an area next to a golf course. No one was with me. Since it was a while before I saw someone, and other things started being discussed, I forgot about what had happened.

A week ago, I finally had a chance to check my memory stick from my digital camera, and there was the photo I had taken! I was so surprised to be seeing it clearly for the first time. (My camera doesn’t have a small viewer, and it’s often difficult to see the topic of the photo on the large screen. Also, I do not see details well if things are far away.)

I am a retired reading specialist who taught at the elementary level for thirty years, as well as taught as a consultant in two university settings. I have a Master’s Degree in Education. I was also a mentor teacher three times, and teacher of the year in my district. Since I retired, I have resumed painting as a hobby/career.

Three strange red blinking lights seen in the night sky above Erie, CO.

We spotted 3 glowing red lights in a triangular formation, blinking slowly at about 8:45 PM MDT. The lights were off in the Northeastern sky, heading North slowly. No sound could be heard. One light disappeared and the two remaining lights continued on slowly until completely disappearing. The lights were brighter and bigger than a typical airplane signal light.

floating object and strange lights in the sky.

I work night shift at the Clarian Arnett Hospital as a nursing assistant. I was on my way back from getting food on my break around 2:10 am, and saw a floating object directly over the intersection in front of the hospital. It was just over the traffic lights. I stopped (at a green light) to see what it was but cannot wrap my head around what I saw.

It was grayish blue, there were no streetlights just car headlights, it is very dark around the hospital, and I estimate it as being the size of a large dog. To me it looked like some sort of creature, floating silently and slowly straight up. No drifting or blowing in the wind. It had what looked like a very large head with the rest of the body which did appear to have 4 appendiges about the same size as the head, and it appeared to be almost upside down. it didnt move, just floated up as if being lifted from the sky. I turned around and went back, and it was gone.

I parked in the back of the hospital parking lot and a man with a little boy were walking out to the road pointing and looking where the object had been. I walked up to him and asked if they saw it too and if they knew what it was. He said that he did, he was able to see it from up close to the hospital. But he didn’t know what it was either. It was gone. I don’t know hoe it could have disappeared so fast or whether anyone else in the cars saw it.

Looking out the windows that night I noticed the moon was large, and there was a very large very bright light that stayed in the same proximity to the moon the entire night. And could see many tiny and very far away green lights appearing and disappearing and streaking the sky above. 2 of the RN’s I work with also witnessed this. The next 2 nights I’ve seen nothing and the moon is gone. I am baffled and terrified.

bright pulsating light

i would like to describe what i would believe to be an unidentifyed flying object to the south of town i was getting ready to go to work this day when i stepped out the backdoor a very bright white light caught my attention in the southern sky i ran inside and told my mother to come have a look at it she said she had never seen anything like that before i asked her if she seen it she yes and she had no ideal what it was except to say a ufo and it just kept pulsating off/on no other lights were on the craft it just looked like a very bright spotlight it was motionless after about 30 seconds or so the bright light turned off and it slowly moved tords the southwest behind some trees i jumped in my car and headed in the same direction as the sighting and never seen one clue of it its as if it had just vanished it was the strangest thing i have ever seen it was up so high it could not have been a streetlight or a plane as eventually it did start to move i know i ! am probably not the only who seen this object as others were getting for work as well...

Me and a friend witnessed several orange spheres moving from west to east across a dark sky. They didn't seem to be very high and were flying in a eratic formation accept for three of them were in a slant formation similar to geese. They were moving very fast which eliminated the possibility of birds, and when they flew over us, there was absolutly no sound. we watched as they moved from east to west over us and tried to figure out exactly what we witnessed. A bright orange light, traveling west, then east, before gaining altitude and fizzling out of sight.

A friend and I had just pulled onto County Road 400 S. on the south edge of town, heading east. As we were driving I noticed a large, orange light in the sky. At first I thought it was an airplane or helicopter, but there were no other lights and the entire object was the same glowing orange color.

We continued driving another 1/4 mile or so, watching it the whole time. It became obvious that it was moving in a westerly direction at a fairly steady speed. I decided to pull over and watch the object. A few seconds after doing so, it suddenly changed direction and began heading east. My friend was able to get a picture of the object on his iPhone. The object slowly continued east for maybe another 30 seconds while seeming to gain altitude before fizzling out of sight, possibly disappearing into a cloud.

The whole event lasted around 2 minutes. There were many people out shooting off fireworks that night, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were other witnesses. The object was too high in the sky, too big, and too far away to be a firework.

My friend who was with me works in the airline industry and was at a loss to explain what we saw.

Crescent shaped object travels through night sky near Boulder.

I was driving home from works when I saw an odd shape race across the sky. I had time to say, "Oh my God..." fairly calmly before it was gone. The shape was a bit of a crescent, at an angle to myself and my car. It was not moving towards me, and not heading at a steep angle towards the ground. It simply moved across the sky. There was a brighter light at the front, a dimmer one above and an even dimmer one below the brightest. They were the color of bright embers and did not flicker or blink. There was also no tale. The object seemed large, if I had looked at the end of my thumbnail and held it against the sky with my elbow a bit bent, it would have just covered the object.

I'm not certain if this is related or not, but my cell-phone reception has been rubbish ever since even in places it was perfect before.

Three UFO's appear out of thin air for 15 minutes then vanish.

My wife and I were driving home from visiting her parents. The sun was starting to set and then I noticed a strange looking craft in the sky. It looked to almost blend into the sky but appeared significantly brighter, a cylinder type object. Hard to describe. It must have been hundreds of miles away. I watched it for about 5 minutes then I looked over at my wife and said "Honey... what is that?"

She looked and said she didn't know but that there was another one "over there" and pointed about 45 degrees to the right. After a few more minutes of watching them hover and slowly moving across the sky a third craft appeared. Approximately 15 minutes had passed when they seemed to vanish into thin air. I didn't think much of it until last week when I recalled the occasion to my wife and she blurted out "I'm pretty sure they were UFO's!" It had always been in the back of my mind and now I'm positive that they were indeed not man-made. I have never since seen anyt! hing like them.

I was at a friend’s house in Lafayette, Colorado, to watch the predawn Meteor Showers at 4:00am.

We were standing outside having a smoke and getting ready to light a fire when I looked up an saw what looked like a flock of geese (V shaped object at first) flying towards us at about 300-500 ft with no lights.

I pointed out to her what I was seeing as it was approaching our direction at about 30-40 mph. We were able to see directly underneath the ship and saw a gray triangle object that was completely silent.

I started running after it between my friend’s house and the neighbor’s house to get a better look, and it disappeared directly in front of my eyes.

The crazy thing is, later we saw other UFO’s flying around, but nothing as cool and clear and vivid as the first one.

I completed a report on your site over a year ago and it was very brief and not as descriptive as I should have been in my initial report. But since the time of my sighting, I have left out so many other significant factors to that night/morning that I just felt compelled to write to you again and explain the whole event, as there is so much more to mention.

I have talked about my experience with several people over the past several months and have been made fun of countless times by friends and co-workers, but I still feel the need to explain the whole story to get it off my chest.

On 1/2/09, I received a call from a friend’s son, who begged me to come up to Lafayette CO, to watch some meteor showers after I got off of work. It was on a Friday and I was very tired and did not want to drive up there and hang out that particular night. But the boy who was 13 or 14 at the time kept insisting that I come up and stay the night. In fact, her 2 other children got on the phone and begged to see me as well and after I spoke with them, I felt compelled to drive up there. So I packed a bag and headed north from my house in Denver.

I arrived at about 8:00pm-8: 30pm and it was cold and I was dragging butt after a long week. The kids immediately asked me to run to 7-11 to buy firewood for the outdoor fireplace as it was going to be even colder later that night and into the early morning hours. So I bought 3 or 4 bundles of wood for our night. Upon our return from 7-11, we hung out for a while and planned our night and agreed that we (my friend and I) would get up around 3:00am-3: 30am to start making hot cocoa and coffee for the 4:00 am showers. But at around 11:00pm-11: 30pm, the kids were very hyper and were not ready for bed by any means. They asked me if we could burn one of the bundles of wood and sky watch for a while before heading to bed. I hesitantly said yes but knew that I was fading fast and didn’t have much energy from a long week at work. At any rate, I didn’t want to disappoint them, so we headed outside.

Once we got the fire going and brought out blankets and snacks, my friend’s daughter (7 yr. old) climbed on lap to stay warm. The 2 boys, I believe were 13 and 11 were running around singing loud and throwing things in the yard. I was getting annoyed because I didn’t have the energy they had and I really wanted to just chill out and relax in quite and peace. The little girl fell asleep in my lap almost immediately as she was bundled up well and was pretty warm.

About 10-15 minutes after she fell asleep, I saw a gray animal or "something" running in a very weird manner along the side of the fence. Whatever it was, it used a hand as well as its legs to run and hop at the same time. At first glance I thought it was a wild animal and as soon as I had that thought, I literally threw the girl off of me and yelled, "What ((deleted)) was that?" This thing moved very fast along the fence and was gone in no time at all.

My friend had her back to the "thing" and the boys were running wild and didn’t see anything. I was so freaked out; I didn’t want to stay out there anymore. I told them what I saw and they kept asking questions and so on. Finally, I said that I was going to go inside and sleep for a while because I was getting up at 3:00am-3: 30am to make the snacks and then to watch the showers. Plus, we needed to save some of the wood I bought. So the boys said that they were staying downstairs to watch movies with the intention of staying awake all night. My friend, her daughter and I went upstairs to her bedroom and we all were going to sleep together in the same bed. After we jumped into bed, I was on one end, my friend in the middle, and her daughter was at the other end snuggled up with her mom. I fell asleep immediately.

After sleeping for a while, I woke up freezing like I have never felt before. (I have lived in Colorado my whole life and never wore coats in the winter and would only wear jackets because I am always hot). So I pulled the blankets up to cover myself up more. As soon as I did this, I was immediately burning up. I threw the blankets off of me, and I was freezing again.

By this time, I woke up because my face touched my arm, which was like an ice-cube. My eyes opened and I rolled over to see a purple light hovering below the ceiling. I tried to focus my eyes to understand what I was seeing, but I could never really make out what it was. It just changed shapes and was hovering about 3 or 4 inches from the ceiling, closer to my side of the bed. I watched the thing for about 10-15 minutes before I decided to get dressed and start making the coffee and snacks.

1/3/09 At about 3:40am, I woke up my friend and told her what happened in the bedroom and she decided to get up too. I also told her that the boys were downstairs sleeping in the livingroom with the TV still on. I told her to look for her video camera with the infrared feature so that we can have it for the showers.

Then it occurred to me that she may want a smoke before the kids got up (they didn’t know she smoked) so we decided to smoke first before getting any cameras together. Besides, I’m not good with any kind of camera with the exception of a cell phone camera so this was going to be all on her to set that part up.

This is the part that I originally reported to this site, but I left out some stuff so I need to re-tell the story.

A couple of minutes before 4:00am, we went outside to smoke. We were out there for a short while when I saw what looked like a flock of geese flying towards us. I pointed in the direction of where I was looking and yelled, "Look!" As soon as I said that, I then realized that this was not a flock of geese at all. It was a triangular shaped object that was gray on the outside of the perimeter and on the bottom, but shiny black finish on the rest of it.

As soon as I told her to look, the thing changed direction a little and aimed its path towards us. It was directly over us about 300-500 ft in the air and made no sound and was moving very slow. I initially said that it was going 30-40mph, but it was going slower than that. My friend stood there with her mouth open and totally freaked out and I started checking in with her because I thought she was going to start screaming or something.

By this time, we could see directly underneath this thing and again, it was gray, with a light at each point of the triangle, with a round "portal" in the center and some weird designs on the bottom. It didn’t make a sound at all. It started moving in between her house and her neighbor’s house and I started to chase it. When I started running after it, I knocked over the chairs on the patio and bumped the table really loud, when all of the sudden, it disappeared right in front of us. The lights weren’t on, but something inside was illuminating the lights from within to let us know they were lights. And it looked as though it was using our street lamps and porch lights to guide itself. I know I said that we watched this thing for 7 seconds in the first report, but there was no way it could have been that short because of the detail we were able to extract from it. That was one of the things that always bothered me about it my first report. It was more like 20-30 seconds.

After it disappeared, we went in and woke up the boys first. My friend said, "That was the most amazing UFO I have ever seen." We started telling the kids to get up in case it came back, and because it was time for the showers. So after we got settled in our spots, the showers came down immediately. During the showers, we saw more UFO activity with lights flying low all over the place and doing crazy maneuvers and indescribable movements. We would keep talking about it for the next 2 hours.

So at about 6:00am-6: 30am, the wood was almost gone, the winds were picking up and some light snow started to fall. I told everyone that I was going back to bed because I really didn’t sleep much and I was freezing again. So I went upstairs to lay down in my friend’s bed again alone. The purple light was gone this time. At about 7:00am, my friend came in to crash too for a while. However, at 8:30am, I got up to go to the bathroom. In the bathroom, there are lots of windows to look at onto the front yard. When I glanced out of one of the windows, I saw a light layer of snow (about an inch high) covering the ground, with a perfect circle partly on the grass, sidewalk, and street in her front yard. There were no tire tracks, footprints of any kind or anything else near the circle or any other place out front. It was totally untouched by humans or animals. I woke my friend up again and to show her what was out front. She looked out the window and asked me, "What the hell happened last night?"

I know this was a long story, but I had to go back and correct some things. I just couldn’t keep all of this information out of this crazy experience. I swear that I am not making this up and have witnesses to substantiate this weird night/morning. My friend has agreed to talk to anyone about her piece of the story too. However, we do have to keep the kids out of it for obvious reasons. However, my friend’s children and I have experienced other UFO’s that same year, at that same house. And there is more to tell, believe me! But that was the most amazing UFO at that house because it was so huge. But we do have more stories about some other cool sighting too of a smaller triangle flying 20ft above our heads 3x’s in the same night. But that’s another story for another time. Besides, I don’t remember the date of that one.

Translucent orb and high speed objects captured on video during air show

I attended the Sertoma Cajun Air Festival in Lafayette, LA. It was a beautiful sunny day and the highlight of the show was the USAF Thunderbird performance. I took snapshots with my digital camera throughout the day, and even tried to use the cameras video feature to get some of the nice formations in motion. When I got home and was reviewing the footage, I was shocked! I had three videos that had objects in the sky or that flew across the screen that I could not identify.

During the show, there was nothing observed by myself, or openly by any other observers there that I am aware of. This is my first photo or video of a UFO, and I have never seen one in person before.

Time of day: between 2:00pm and 3:45pm CST Camer: Cannon PowerShot A620, 4x optical zoom, digital zoom disabled Media:SanDisk Ultra II 2BG SD card Weather: Clear skies, winds <10mph, temp. mid 70's (F) Observer: 28 year old male, married, Air Force veteran with 6 years experience in visual and radar identification of aircraft, as well as aircraft capabilities and limitations knowledge.

Photo/Video experience: Novice The first video is poor quality due to the limitations of the camera. It depicts what I consider to be a cloaked UFO. A single F-15 was performing a vertical climb. I was filming in video mode and trying to follow the movement of the aircraft and zoom in with the climb. In the footage there is a circular distortion on the right. This distortion is stationary in the sky and not a smudge or particle on the lens of the camera. As the camera moved slightly under my attempt to control the zoom and keep the fighter in frame, the object remains stationary, at the same time dust/smudges move with the camera to the left. (The dust/smudges are not in the photo captures.) The fighter does remain blurred considerably on the lower left during zoom. The object in question is very translucent with a slight shimmer around the edges and glimmering slightly over the whole of it.

Four of the F-16 Thunderbirds are in an opened diamond formation (my description not theirs) awaiting a solo F-16 to come flying through the middle of the group at a higher rate of speed from behind. I am in video mode and following the 4 ship formation. In the review I notice that behind the formation an object moves across at an extremely high rate of speed. The UFO crossed the cameras field of view in less than 1 second! There were only 6 aircraft in the sky at the time, all F-16's; 5 of which were participating in this pass. Another was preparing to come from a different direction.

The object in question flies from the upper right going to the upper left, and again near the end going form the bottom left to top left. The object may be similar or the same as the object in the second video. No other aircraft were airborne at this time.

The weather for the whole week before the air show had been fairly cool, upper 60's day and lower 50's- upper 40's at night. The only bugs we have noticed are cold weather nighttime bugs like 'stink bugs.' The day of the air show, the weather was fairly warm, mid 70's. I didn't notice any bugs or birds that day at all, but unless there is an unusually large amount or lack of, that’s typically something one is oblivious to.

Orange balls of light two nights in a row

. On 7/23/08 my wife, brother-in-law and myself were having coffee on our deck. I noticed an orange ball of light and said “Hey, what is that”? My wife and brother turned to see the OBOL (Orange ball of light) just as it was fading away. It was in the NE sky just above tree level but couldn’t tell how far away it was. We talked about it for a few minutes and we saw more lights. They didn’t move they would just fade in and stay on for about 5 -7 seconds then fade out. My wife called in to our 19 yr old son and his girlfriend and told them to come out and take a look. They both came out and we saw a set of two lights. One came on then the second. Once the second had reached its peak in brightness the first one faded out then the second faded. I said that it looked like it was only a mile or so away and I was going to drive in that direction to see what I could see. As I got over by Wainwright middle school my wife yelled into the cell phone that there was another one. I put my head between the steering wheel and the windshield of the car and it was directly above me. That one actually had a secondary light that split way from the original ball. Just before I left the house my son was getting his video camera and caught a few sets of lights on his digital video camera. He got a series of three lights just behind the tree line and the light that was over my car. The video shows the second OBOL splitting off the first one. The light I saw above my car would have bigger than my car if it had been on the ground. I was directly under that one. There were about 6 different sets of lights that night. Some had only one, some had two and a few had three. There were 5 witnesses for the 23rd of July 2008. We saw tiny white non flashing pin lights flying all over the area where we had seen the OBOL. After we had seen the first two lights my Brother-in-law said “Look at that little white light flying after that airliner. He’s going to hit it!!!” It flew VERY fast and caught up with the airliner and fl! ew just above it until it was out of the area then peeled back and SHOT towards the east where it had came from. The very last light we had seen (I was back home by now) there we two pin point white lights closing in on the OBOL from both sides and when it disappeared the two tiny white lights shot straight up into the air nearly colliding and shot towards the north. In total there were about 4 pin lights while this was all going on. The OBOL showed up every 4-5 minutes in different areas in the NE sky. It was 22:40 when we saw the last one and went in to see if there was anything on the news.

On July 24th my wife and I had to work the next morning so she went to bed and told me to wake her if I had seen anything. Right on time 22:30 the first one showed up. I ran inside got my wife and this time my daughter was home and I had her come out on the deck to watch. The lights looked the same but were in a different pattern. This time there we several lights coming on at the same time in different parts of the NE sky. On both nights if all lights would have been on they would have formed a perfect horizontal line spanning about a 5-7 mile stretch. My wife called my mother who lives in Clarkshill and her and my brother went outside and saw them. The next day I called my friend who is a police officer and he said he saw them too and had no idea what they were. So on this night we had 5 witnesses in three different parts of the county who saw them. My wife thought she saw one way off in the distance around the Delphi area, but it was too far away and she couldn’t be sure
