Saw a bright object, snapped a pic

I was video taping our cows and a bright light caught my attention in the sky. I immediately just snapped a pic and the object disappeared seconds later. I wasn't even sure I got the pic until I reviewed the picture later that day. The object was very bright.

Objects would fade in and out, changing altitude, speed and direction.

I am an overnight delivery driver and for the past 3 mornings in a row I have seen multiple orb/star like objects appearing and disappearing over the NE sky from my location (Would put objects over Central MO). The objects appear from between 2am and 4am and will appear to "dance" around the sky, changing altitude, direction and traveling at insane speeds.

The first morning I witnessed 4 of the objects together, the second morning two, and this morning I seen 3, however I was only able to get a partial picture of two of the objects before they faded away.

The objects do not appear to have any lights similar to that of aircraft also flying in the sky, as you can see airplanes in the sky with their flashing beacons where as these objects are a solid color that fades in and out as they move.

I did check multiple flight radars to see if there was a group of aircraft in or around the area where they might be flying, but nothing was found.

The fact it has occured 3 mornings in a row, either tells me its the government testing some secret aircraft near Whiteman Air Force Base, or the objects are indeed UFOs.

Star like object drops rapidly from a high altitude.

While driving on I-210 from Pasadena, CA, to Arcadia, CA, I witnessed a white star-like object (in size, brightness, and color) drop in a straight line from an apparent high altitude to almost ground level. I say “almost” because it was dark out, and I could not clearly discern distance to the object, or where the ground would be. I did not detect an impact.

I felt that the object was at least 10 to 15 miles away, in other words, quite a ways away. However, I cannot rule out that it was quite close. The object did not change color or shape, nor did it have a tail. I immediately thought it might be a meteor, which is entirely possible, but it did not look like the many other meteors I have seen. It was more reminiscent of a bright satellite.

I saw something extremely similar on 5 January 2007 in Huntsville, AL.

Large rectangular slow moving craft over farm

When turning our horses out into the pasture at approximately 9:45 pm, my wife and I looked up and saw a large craft, approximately 300 feet long and 2500 feet high, moving slowly from SSW to NNE. It made a very low none engine sound. Did not sound like a jet.

The craft was moving extremely slowly, with 3 white lights in front in a triangle formation, and 4 white lights in the rear in a perfect square, the space between the front and rear lights was black with no stars visible. Had one red light flashing in the bottom center of the 4 white lights in the rear of the craft.

Also observed flashes of light in the area until craft was no longer visible overhead.

Saw 2 bright white lights fall straight down, while driving North on Santa Anita Ave. in San Gabriel Valley at about 6:15pm. LA County.

While driving North on Santa Anita Ave at around 6:16 we watch two white lights fall straight down from the sky. One on top of the other a minute apart. Very bright in the early night sky. Me and my wife both saw this and could not beleive our eyes.

We are in the San Gabriel Valley and this happened heading north toward the mountains of San Madre.

I don't believe that they were falling stars or flares. They came down way slower than a shooting star, and was not helicopters.

Having trouble entering exact time but I'll do it here. 6:55am. Traveling east bound on 210 fwy, between Rosemead Blvd/Myrtle Ave exits. I saw only 4 white streaks traveling east from the coast to the mountain side of Los Angeles County. Just before my exit on Myrtle, there were 5 white streaks now.

I checked YouTube and other websites and nobody posted anything. They were there and traveling fast. They weren't jets, there wasn't a white smoke line being left behind like jets leave. Weird but true..

Red Light in the sky

Me and my wife were driving West on Hwy 70. We saw a round object flying towards us which was glowing almost red colour. It was getting close to us very fast so we pulled over and got out of the car to get a better look. The object stopped for a few seconds almost on top of us for a few seconds and suddenly started flying away in a opposite direction without making a turn around as plane would do. It just stopped and then reversed.

We got back in a car and followed it for about a minute. It started blinking, then stop blinking and then lights went out and it disappeared. It looked like it was flying up.

Unfortunately we were too shocked to start recording right away, but my wife managed to get a few seconds video wile we were standing next to the car.

It was right next to Arcadia Municipal Airport, but we saw planes in the sky at that time also and it clearly wasn't a plane.

It had no flashing light, was different round-like form and was moving the way planes can't. It also made absolutely no sound.

Bright Orange Fireball near Arcadia, Iowa

I was driving west on a blacktop road about 1/4 mile from Arcadia, in west central IA. It was about 9:00 pm central time. The sky was clear with visible stars and moon. The temperature was probably in the 30s. The moon was west and slightly south of the road.

The object caught my attention due to its intense fire-like red/orange color. The upper edge of the object seemed to have a slight, vertical glare of color. My first thought was that something was on fire. I pulled over to the side of the road and turned off the engine with the window rolled down. The object was slightly south and closer to the ground than the moon, which was a very bright white. I realized that the object was not burning, as the color did not vary or flicker, and the shape of the object remained perfectly circular. I could not judge the height or distance of the object from my position. It appeared to be about the size of a penny held at arms length.

The object was stationary at first sight. After approximately one minute it began to move eastward. I grabbed my camera and took a shot. I checked the shot and noted that the shutter speed was too slow, resulting in a photo with motion blur and light trails. I changed the settings but by this time the object had moved further east and behind some trees, and appeared much smaller. It moved east past the trees and then just vanished.

The object made no sound. It moved in a steady direction without changing speed.

This was unlike any aircraft I've seen. There were no flashing lights, just a solid orb of color. We have fighter jets flying over from Omaha quite frequently, but they are extremely loud. I felt a great sense of amazement watching the object. I photograph landscapes frequently and am always looking at the sky for good light and clouds, but this was completely different than anything Ive ever observed.

The first photo shows the position of the object in relation to the moon. The second is an enlarged portion of the first photo showing just the object. All of the light trails are due to the motion of the camera. The object itself had no light trail at all. The color of the object is very accurate when compared to what I saw.

2 large orange lights from southeast to northwest route, absolutley no sound

It was an orange ball that I spotted in the southeastern sky and went to northwestern route out of site. It was very bright and was just under the cloud cover because the lights reflected in the clouds. There was no sound when it went directly overhead. Maybe 3 minutes pass and another one went the same exact route and was the orange color. I could see a physical shape because of the bright lights.

I know it was not a plane with landing lights on. The night was very still, no wind what so ever.

Flying in a Cessna 182 North of LaBelle VOR, encounter strange light not on radar.

Just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Miami ARTCC (Center); would love anyone's insight here. Bear with me, kind of a long, detailed story: Flew back from FXE to TPF direct with my student tonight. All of the Avon Park MOA's and Restricted areas were active/hot, and we could see about 6 F-16's (as per Miami center) dog fighting and practicing intercept procedures at 7000' and above.

Upon clearing the MOA and due east of Arcadia, what appeared to be a LED landing light abruptly popped on just above the cloud layer and immediately caught our attention. It appeared to be about 500ft below us, at our 2 o'clock and figured about 5-7 miles, and looked as if it might be in conflict in a few minutes. The light then started flashing, presumably because he saw us up ahead crossing and wanted to make his position known. I turned on our landing and taxi light of the 182 to acknowledge, yet this other aircraft kept turning this light on at odd and random intervals until he went dark for about a minute. Fed up, I asked the Miami controller for a traffic advisory on the aircraft at our 2 o'clock and about 3-4 miles. He responded that he didn't observe any traffic in the area. A little puzzled, I asked him if he had any primary targets in the area and he told me to standby.

A long 15 seconds passed by and the light appeared again! This time it appeared to now be at our 1 o'clock but the light still pointed at us (?) and then quickly went out again. The controller came back on and said that he had checked and rechecked his backup systems and assured me that there were NO primary(pure radar return) targets in the area. Just when he said that, an aircraft behind us a few miles asked where we were, the controller told him, and that pilot reported that he was watching all of this happen AS well! Then a third aircraft also chimed in and said he too was seeing the strange light and it was moving across the sky rapidly. Three aircraft in all saw this. The controller was completely bewildered at this point....needless to say, upon landing, I called up Miami Center.

I talked on the phone for 20 minutes to the D-Side of the sector I was in, who turned out to be a supervisor and was training the R-Side. He too was sufficiently freaked out and confused along with the rest of the guys on "the floor." He said that in his 27 years, he had odd occurrences like this every few years and they usually turned out to be flares IN the MOA but never in this location, intermittent, and underneath another aircraft moving laterally. He thought that it was a UAV (which is of course illegal to operate in the NAS), and that if it was, it could have been much closer to our aircraft than we had thought (that's always comforting to hear) and it would also explain why it was not on their radar if it was small enough. I chimed in and figured that it started turning its lights on and off in an effort to avoid us.

This was not a flare or laser. It changed position laterally and maintained its altitude.

it was at about 9:15 when i noticed a red light in the tow seconds later just below the first one two more appear and behind them three row of two all are flying at the same speed. We turn on a flashlight and all of the lights just stopped in mid air and sat their for 5 minuets. myself and one other person jump on a golf cart to get a better look but by the time we got to the spot that we could see them they had moved east bound. about 5 minuets later one more appear flying fast as it went to where we all show the first 9 it slowed down and also went east bound.

Light blue/white light near the hills North of the 210 Freeway

I was on my way home from work traveling east bound on the 210 freeway at approximately 7:20 PM in or near the city of Arcadia. As I was sitting in traffic I noticed a small dot of light in the distance north of the freeway. I initially thought it was a helicopter spotlight, but as I watched it, the light appeared to be changing directions and moving in a way that no helicopter or plane could move, that I have ever seen anyway.

As I watched it, it looked like the dot of light would drop down and move forward and backward, go up and down – it was so weird. I would have to estimate that the dot of light had to be roughly 10 or so miles in the distance north of the freeway near the hills. The dot itself was like a light blue/white color. I would watch it approximately in 30 second intervals as I moved forward in traffic, about 3 or 4 times. When I looked up again, it was gone.

While working a grove job at night off of highway 31 in southern arcadia i witnessed multiple flashes of light what seemed at first to be lightning but i heard no thunder

I then witnessed five to ten blue and red flashing orbs in the sky that appeared to be converging on my location i then witnessed one of these orbs appeared to be descending and turned a orange color followed by a flash of blue light directly on the vehicle

I was in i didnt stay too much longer after that but it isnt the first time i seen these orbs in the skies over arcadia they are distictive of having blue and red flashing lights travel quickly and ive seen them take off and appear to leave a comet like trial and i also know i cant be the only one that has seen them

I saw a white bright light ball flying in Arcadia, CA which was also seen by my fiance and friend.

The light object was seen by myself and 2 other friends on the same night separately. I was driving home to Arcadia, CA taking streets. Approximately at 12:30 am I saw ball of light hovering about 200 feet in the air. I was about 3 blocks away from it. There was a beam of light shining from it. There was no noise and the beam of light was shining in one direction. I first thought it was a helicopter but I thought the light was way too bright, there was no sound, and it flew very strangly. The light was too bright to be a helicopter. I hovered for a bit then moved back and forth. After it became obscured by sme trees I could not see the object again. I arrived home and told my fiance what I had seen. She said that earlier in the night around 10pm she had spotted a similar object in Arcadia.

My fiance said that she was driving around 10pm in Arcadia when she spotted a bright white light zipping back and forth. It was exactly the same description as what I saw later in the night. It also was a bright light with a beam of light coming from it.

I wondered what the object was now. I then told my friend about the object the following week. He surprisingly said he saw a similar object. He was driving home from us having a very late dinner. He was headed to La Palma, CA about 20 minutes later than me, 12:50 am. He said he saw a bright light for a few secondshovering in the sky. He described it the same as me and my fiance except that there was no beam of light coming from it. It was after he had confirmed seeing it as well that I felt that I had to report it to someone.

Bright Light That Changed Intensity and Color, Then Disappeared

I arrived at my home in the northern San Gabriel Valley on the night of Thursday 29 July 2010 at 21:10 PDT. As is my habit, when I got out of the car I looked up and surveyed the nighttime sky. Looking in a south-easterly direction I noticed what looked to be an airplane. Again, as is my habit, I looked for the FAA lights (blinking red and green lights). I did not see any. The light was pretty bright, so it's possible that, due to the angle and the brightness of the light, I just couldn't see them. I also noticed the speed, which seemed relatively normal for an airplane. The trajectory was mostly straight, though for a moment I could have sworn that I saw it drift to the east just a bit. This could have been an optical illusion. However, over the course of the 20 or so seconds that I was watching, I saw the light increase in brilliance. The object seemed to get bigger, though this might have been an effect of the increasing luminosity, changing from an off-w! hite color to more of a resplendent white. This lasted about 5 seconds, after which the light dimmed, making the object seem as if it were getting smaller. As it dimmed it became blue, like so many stars. What was left, for a moment, was a dim dot of light surrounded by an even fainter corona; it resembled the dot of light that would be left in the center of the screen on old black-and-white televisions immediately after being turned off. This lasted for just a moment, after which the dot became smaller and dimmer, until disappearing altogether. I kept looking at the sky for at least another ten minutes, in case it was an airplane that had turned it's lights off momentarily, but the light did not reappear. I could not see the outline of any kind of craft, nor was there a sound to be heard.

I and my son saw a large spherical object, very bright and changing color from green to blue to red, and standing in one spot over the south-west horizon. Even with our powerful binoculars and a reflecting telescope we could not make out any details, other than it was a sphere emitting a very bright light and constantly changing colors.

It was real and I have NEVER seen anthing like it, I reported it to the police who came to my house and took an affidavit

I live in Arcadia Florida and sighted at least 10 to 15 –white light UFO’s, this happened on Oct/12/2007 at around 8 pm EST.

I was in the house and my girlfriend yelled at me to come outside quick, in which I did, she was with my neighbor and I ran outside because I thought some one was threatening them.

I looked up and to where they were pointing at and saw a formation of white lights in which first thought was just a military aircraft formation (I worked on a flight deck of an aircraft carrier for 3 yrs prior and have seen thousands of formations and different aircraft even soviet)

the UFO’s were I estimate around 3000 to 5000 feet. They took formations of all different kinds and where completely SILENT.

I called the police and made a report.

Freaky stuff.

I didn’t think the cop would believe me but he took the report down.

It looked like the typical traingle/ TR3B UFO most other people described. EXTREMELY low, barely scraping a nearby phone pole

I was in the kitchen at the time, probably around 11 years old or so. The craft was incredibly low, lower than even a helicopter. Probably only 150 feet from the ground. Very massive, the size of the entire lot of my house is my guess. It had a colored light at each right angle of its shape, they were gently changing color, the craft hovered over my house and towards the santa anita race track. (My house was right against the fence of the extended part of the track used for long races) It was silent, dead silent. I'm not sure if it made any noise at all, it just moved slow at an almost eerie pace, i'd say 15 to 20mph.

The night was bright enough where I could clearly make out its triangle silhouette, especially because how close it was.

Blue/yellowish blinking light in the western sky of SW Central Florida

I live in SW Central Florida, and every night I sit on my screened in porch which faces the west.

A couple weeks back, I looked up into the sky for stars, and there was a tiny blinking blue & yellowish light that zipped around, up & down, and side to side.

The first time I saw it, I thought it was a star, but then noticed the blinking blue/yellowish light, which ruled out the star.

Then, I thought maybe it was a plane or helicopter, but then realized it was too high in the sky.

I then thought maybe it was a light from a transmitter tower, but, it kept moving in odd patterns with no regulated motion. It almost moved like a fly or mosquito does in flight, and appeared to be as *tiny* up in the sky.

It’s visible after dark, stays in the sky for a good length of time, maybe an hour or more, then it will slowly motivate it’s way higher & higher, zig zagging in different motions until it disappears by about 11pm - midnight.

Last night (04/11/07), it was a rainy night with hazy cloud coverage…and this *object* played it’s usual game of zip here, zip there…but, it was also zipping in & out of the clouds as if it was playing hide & seek.

I am NOT saying it IS a UFO, as it is TOO high in the sky to really tell WHAT it is…but, it is NOT something that I can explain by logic of things I’ve seen (I really don’t even *believe* in UFO’s, *as *they are referred to ’spaceships for Aliens’). So, I was just wondering if anyone else MIGHT know WHAT it is??? Maybe something the military is doing, or perhaps a satellite.

I don’t have any other witnesses, as I live alone. And, I don’t have a telescope that I can use to get a closer look, and I don't believe *visible* pictures would prove anything. I was just wondering if any one else has seen it, or knows WHAT it IS!

On Christmas Eve we saw a large dark craft glide from one cornfield across a road and into another field.

This was on Christmas Eve. We were traveling by car through a rural area - we were surrounded by fields with no streetlights. We were just approaching a hill when a car came down the hill, facing us. As they came down the hill, that car braked and its taillights illuminated the hill behind them in a reddish glow.

In that glow both my father and I saw a craft gliding across the top of the hill from one cornfield into another. It was dark gray with no lights and massive - it took up the entire road, we could not see the beginning or end of it. It moved more smoothly than anything I have ever seen; cars, planes and ships can move smoothly but this glided almost as if automated. It was like it was on a conveyor belt. Then the car approaching us stopped braking and its taillights went off and the hill fell into darkness again.

Both my father and I were shocked. We are from that area and are well acquainted with tractors, cars, trucks and anything other vehicle in local use and we could not think of anything it could be. It was just too huge. Furthermore there were cornfields on each side of that hill - there was no reason for any kind of craft to pass at that location. As we drove up and over the hill, I looked into the fields but could see nothing... everything was pitch black.

This probably isn't related but something odd happened the following morning on Christmas. My parents' house is very remote and too set back from the road for anyone to approach on foot. Yet we discovered HUGE footprints leading from the driveway through the snow around the house... and they just stopped in the middle of the yard. They didn't turn around and they didn't go anywhere else. The tracks just ended as if whoever made them vanished.

It was Christmas and we were obviously busy with other things, but the sight of that craft gliding from one field into another has haunted me ever since. I know it's not a "flying" object as it was on the ground but it was not of this world either. I'm sure of it.

Approximately 10:45 PM on September 1, 2004 I observed an object moving from east to west while looking out my bedroom window which faces south. This object was following the usual flight patter for aircraft going to Los Angles International Airport. However, what caught my attention was the color and brightness of the object and that it had no flashing lights like many aircraft do. The object was an orange color and seemed to be about twice the brightness of the other aircraft in the sky. I observed it for 2 minutes as it moved from the east to west in the southern horizon. Approximately halfway across the sky the object seemed to have stopped.

I then observed the object though my window screen using 10x binoculars. The object didn’t appear clear due to my screen being dirty, so I went out to my balcony with my binoculars and observed it there. This time I got a much better look at it and could not see any aircraft or shape in the bright orange light of the object. It appeared like a bight star about 5 times the size of the surrounding stars. Its color was that of hot burning coal, being that of a light orange color. While I observed it, the object was motionless and appeared to be hovering in the sky. I observed very closely thought my binoculars and this object didn’t move or drift at all. I could tell that it did not drift due to its distance from the background stars.

After 2 minutes of watching the object hover, it ejected a much smaller object about 1/10 its size. The second object was the same color as the first object and appeared to be about half as small as the background stars I was viewing though my binoculars. It appeared to fall straight down from the first object and left a streaking orange trail as if fell which then disappeared the farther it fell from the first object. This smaller object looked like a falling hot coal or ash, like someone would see at a fireworks display except there was no smoke or flame, just an orange glow. It might have been possible that there was another object in the streaking trail when the first one was ejected. It was hard to tell due to the glow of the streaking trail. I followed this second object as it fell for about 3-5 seconds. In that time it fell about half the altitude of the first object. I then looked back up at the first object to see if it would eject more objects. The original object didn’t eject anymore objects but this time it appeared to move towards the northwest. It moved slower to the northeast than it originally moved when it was going east to west. As it moved it went over the roof of my apartment and I lost sight of it, so I went downstairs to the parking lot to see if can follow its movements. When I got down stairs and looked to the northwest it was gone.

The object when first sighted was probably 3-4 miles to the south of me over the cities of El Monte, CA or Temple City, CA and then it moved north over Arcadia, CA where I was located. It was very hard to tell the size of the object or its height. I estimate that it was about 3000 to 4000 feet in altitude. However, it was very hard to tell its true altitude or the size of the object since it had no shape except that of an orange glowing light. Its speed was from what appears to be 100 MPH to zero. It traveled about as fast as the background aircraft traffic when it was moving. There were numerous background aircraft traffic to the south of its position along the usual LAX landing patterns. Also there is the smaller El Monte Airport to the south about 5 miles away with mostly light private planes flying out of it. However, there were no background aircraft near the object itself, just in the distance several miles away. This object and the second object made no noise during the whole sighting.

When I first saw this object I simply thought was the standard aircraft that fly in the area. However, it was the brightness and the color of the object that got my attention. Observing it made me think that it was something other than an airplane or helicopter. First I thought that it was a balloon that was on fire, especially when I saw the other smaller object dropout of it. I thought that it was a burning ember falling from it and that it might land on someone’s house and set it on fire. Then I thought about it and realized that this light showed no flames and that if it was a balloon on fire that it would have burned up very quickly. If it was a helicopter then I would have heard noise from it and it would have drifted a little even while hovering. This object made no noise and didn’t drift in the slightest when hovering. The light it emitted hid the shape of whatever object it was. Whatever this object was I don’t believe that it was any conventional flying aircraft.

Swirling colored ball's of light in night sky.

About 9:15pm on nov. 19, 2003 i went outside to see if i could see any meteorites that were suppose to be seen this night. all though i didnt see any,i did notice a very bright multi colored ball in the sky. The longer i looked at it the more you could see swirling color's. So i ran in my house and called a relative who came out and watched it with me. We both got our binoculars to get a better picture and thats when we saw 2 more that were smaller but still emitting color.At that point the biggest one starting doing weird things like spinning and shooting out sparks of color all around it. Ive never seen something so beautiful.After 20 minutes the family member that was with me was cold so she left and i stayed out about an hour.I saw the little dipper to go by and all i can say for direction is it was facing the same way the end of the handle was pointed.And the other two were straight above me and the other to the left of the first one.They may have been there longer then an hour but my neck was killing me from stairing up so long.Ive seen ufo's in the past but ive never seen one that looked or acted like this one.There were no clouds and the stars were all bright and it was about 40 Degress out.

Bright white light, appeared to be moving away at an extremely fast rate --

Sitting on front porch with my friend, talking, having a cigar, looking at the stars and aircraft in the sky. Clear skies, Both of us noticed (at basically the same time) an extremely bright white light that appeared to move away at an alarming rate of speed. The light was as big as your pinky finger nail when held at arms length, and appeared to be 20-30 degrees from the horizon and several miles away. At no time did the light move up, down, or side to side, rather it appeared to be stationary and then slowly faded from bright white to darkness ... the entire process took about 10 seconds... like someone tuned a dimmer switch. (or like it was moving away at an alarming speed) Initial observation of the light was that it was similar to landing lights on the front of an airplane, however, there was only one light and appeared much brighter than landing lights I have seen before. Additionally, there were no other visible lights within the vicinity of the single white light. Both during the time we saw the white light, and in the minutes that followed as we looked for any signs of plane or such in that area. If it had been a plane, it simply would not have disappeared that fast as the other aircraft in the sky were plainly visible long after.

The light appeared due north from Highway 19, approx 20-30 degrees from the horizon, and appeared to be 4-6 miles away (the distance was based on my observation of two aircraft in the sky at the same time, to the east and west of the bright light, and moving in a northeast, and northwest direction) Even though the other aircraft in the sky were at some distance and moving away from us as well, they were clearly visible for 5 minutes or so after the Bright White light faded.

There were no sounds heard at or around the time of the Bright White light

Large, bright stationary light in sky over eastern LA county.

As I left my office about 10pm I looked up into a clear sky in the east, and noticed a bright manilla colored light about 45 degrees above the horizon. This is also a view of the approach to LAX so you see the various aircraft at their various levels during approach. This light was much larger and much brighter than the lights of the approaching aircraft. The light, at that distance was about 3/8 inches in diameter, and did not appear to be moving, as the other aircraft on approach were. I took a minute or so to look at it, tried to figure out what it might be and when I couldn't left. On my way home, I stopped to get something to eat which took about a half hour. When I got home and out of the car, I couldn't help but notice it was still there...still unmoving...total elapsed time from my first sighting of it was no about 1 hr. It was east of the belt stars of Orion. Being an amature astronomer I first tried to equate as an astonomical body but couldn't. It was much larger than Jupiter and Saturn which had already set by this time. It was too large and too yellow for Venus. It's color was like that of Saturn through a telescope. I ruled out astonomical and commercial aircraft. I gave up for the night and went in and went to bed. When I turned on the Coast to Coast program to listen to until falling asleep a guy called in from Santa Barbara and told the host (AB) about it. He said he and some friends were leaving an eatery in Santa Barbara when they spotted it. He described it exactly as I saw it to AB who began to ridicule him. He finally got angry and told the host to go out and look into the eastern sky about 30 degrees above the horizon. Finally the host said he'd do it at the next break. Given Santa Barbaras proximity to Los Angeles, it would have appeared lower on the horizon than it did from my vantage point. Unfortunately, I don't believe the show host could've seen it from his desert location. My best guess is that the farthest east it could've been would have been Palm Springs, CA. I hate trying to guesstimate distances and heights but I'd say it was probaby at about 7000 ft over the area of Riverside or maybe even further west. To rule out an astronomical body, I went outside the following night at the same time and there was nothing there. Had it been astonomical in nature it would have been there for a number of nights at least. I rued out a law enforcement helicopter which are prevalant in the area because they away's circle or move in some way...this object simply wasn't moving.

We do not know what the witness may have been observing. However, we note that Jupiter currently is very prominent in the eastern sky during the early evening, and that it "rises" in the sky toward the zenith throughout the evening. Unless there were two, prominent bright lights in the eastern sky, our first guess is that the observer might have been looking at Jupiter. PD

A large flying saucer with white lights all around it, in the greater L. A. area,

On holloween night, October 31, 2001 I was going south on Rosemead Blvd. in the Arcadia/Temple City area, around 8 or 8:30 pm. I had an errand to run, and comming back home from the store there was a traffic accident on the intersection of Rosemead Blvd. and Longden Avenue. A police officer was involved, so all traffic going north was to detour on resdental streets. I was heading North, and saw a flying saucer right in front of me,above the San Bernadino Mountains. I could not belive my eyes! I was alone in my car, expressing my disbelief in what I was looking at! It was very large, and there were lights all around the saucer. I pulled over to the curb to view it, but the street was lined with traffic, and I was causing even more traffic to build up. That night we had a full moon, and the saucer was even bigger than what the moon appeared to be. It was hard to keep a full view of the craft since the street was tree lined. As I was tring to keep the craft in view, I thought maybe it was a blimp. It took me around two minutes, if that, to get back onto Rosemead Blvd., heading north bound. I was able to see it without anything blocking my view. It's location seemed to me to be over the Glendale Mountain area, about 20 miles west of my area of Arcadia. I know that if it were a blimp, it would have still been hovering over my area. This has caused me concern as to why I had not heard of anyone else seeing it. A friend of mine said she heard on a radio staion the next day,November 1st,01 that if anyone else had seen this flying saucer, to phone in and report their sighting, but said she did not know what radio staion it was, since she was not in her car at the time this request. If you, or anyone else knows of this sighting on October 31 st, 2001, please let me know. If someone did this just because it was Holloween, I still have a problem tying to understand how, why someone would spend millions of dollars on such a prank.

Me and my Uncle were standing out side right befor dark, when something really bright just popped up in the sky. The only thing we could think of it to be was a airplane or a weather balloon. It was moving very slow at first and then it started to speed up and slow down again. The only reason I know it was not a air plane was because it would stop in mid air and go the other way. We watched it for about 30-45 min. Then it got really bright and was never seen again.

Silent, Possible Saucer shaped object with Single light, followed us aprx 5 miles then simply vanished.

On July 12th or July 19th Aprx. 12:30am (it has been many years but it was definately a Saturday night/Sunday Morning not long after Midnight, Mid-July)

Returning from Liberal, MO, (Barton County) to Arcadia, KS (Crawford county) traveling North via N. Mo-K Rd. between NW 50th Rd to the MO-V intersection. Large "opaque" object with single extremely bright light at treetop level. Object not identifiable but it was huge. It blocked out the stars for at least 30 meters long by 20 meters tall at its thickest point and 5 to 10 meters tall at its thinest points (out near the ends). So it could have been saucer shaped.

The object was moving at a high rate of speed as we neared a rail road crossing then stopped abruptly as we reached the tracks. As I drove on it started following along side of us on the west side of the road about 30 to 50 meters away.

As I sped up it kept up, as i slowed it slowed. I stopped, it stopped. We rolled down all the windows in the car, I turned off the radio and the engine. There was absolutely no sound.

At first one person with me who was a Lt. (at the time) in the Oklahoma Natl. Guard and the other person that was maintence/electrician person for a local town thought it was a helecopter. But there was no wind or breeze that could have diverted the sound of a copter that close.

I restarted the car and proceeded to slowly drive north on MO-K, it followed at the same rate of speed at the same distance at treetop level until we reached the junction of MO-K & MO-V. During this time the Light never changed position, it continually pointed down to the grown towards us, even while we and the object were traveling North bound and we and the object were in an East/West alignment. When we reached the MO-V intersection the light simply vanished and you could see the stars again in the vacated location.

The night was still and calm, temp was aprx. 79 degrees, few clouds in the sky, no precipitation.

None of us in the car that night has spoken about this sighting since it happened, until now as i type this.

The caller, a young man, was leaving the home of a friend in Arcadia, CA. His friend, who is frequently joking, hit the caller on the shoulder and told him to turn around and look. His friend grabbed him and physically turned him around.

The caller, at first sceptical about the request, turned and saw a "triangle of lights" in the sky. The lights formed an isosceles triangle from the viewers' vantage point, with equal distances between the lights.

The "point" (i.e. apex) of the lights was facing west. On the right side of the object, there simply was nothing! Nothing was visible.

The object was very lareg, twice the size of the caller's thumbnail, held at arm's length, i.e. about 4-5 times the diameter of the moon.

The object moved from the viewers' right to left, dipped, rose up, dipped again, rose again, then shot off to the left.

The caller reported that the movement of the object were "fluid." Also, the object generated a "shimmering effect" around its periphery. It looked like a "camouflaged shield."

Summary : Our dog was barking at something. His bark was the bark as if he didn't want to leave the porch but wanted to summon someone in the family. I went to investigate. Initially I saw nothing. Then a rectangular craft flew by very slowly. The craft was divided into thirds. Each third lit up sequentially with a red light. The object made no noise whatsover.

In addition to the above information there is more to add that is very interesting. One week later a friend of mine from high school, telephoned me in a panicked state. Apparently he had seen the same object in the city of Sierra Madre, while on a night hike into Bailey Canyon. He had stopped to tie his shoe lace while the others continued on the hike. He stated that the object appeared to lose control and looked as though it were going to crash into the property of Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center. This is a Catholic retreat center run by the Passionist Fathers. The thing that through us for a loop about this is this.... My friend who had witnessed this event, a week after I had, had gone to the whole life expo in Pasadena,Ca. of that year. He left the convention being "paranoid" of ufo's and aliens. I was a "doubting Thomas". I suggested that he go and see a psychiatrist. Nothing more was said about the ufo subject untill the sightings that we had It was that we had conversed, and realized that we had seen the same craft at two different places and times that there must be connection. It was almost like as if some intelligence did something to get my dog to bark that night, to get me out of bed to investigate so that I would see this craft. Like I said...I never went to the whole life expo....but It was like as if some intellegent being heard me tell my friend Tony that I thought he was a quack. And to make it even more believable to us it revealed itself to us...that well we never had many people believe our story except one of the priests at the retreat center with whom we were friends with.I didn't think it necessary to record the dates of the sightings, I didn't anyone would believe us. So there you are. I am a firm believer after having this experience with the object and I feel ....almost on a psychic level that we are on the verge of something....a revealing of some sort...I cant really describe it, but we are on the verge of something.

object moved from one point to another so fast that it looked liked there were two of them

it was silver , the shape of a silver dollar. The sun was setting , and i happened to look toward the west, the sky was a dark blue, i saw this disk move up and down , it's reflection is what caught my eye. Then for about 10 seconds it just hovered, i thought it might have been a weather balloon, but when it moved from point a to point b in a millisecond.......i knew then no balloon can move that fast......much less any thing i had ever seen fly ......... then after it stopped at point b , it just hovered for a second or two, then shot straight up in the atmosphere...... gone ...no trail or anything...…

Blimp like object moving 300 feet above a small town main street causing dogs to bark in the middle of the night.

It was a hot night and we didn’t have air conditioning. My parents were asleep so I snuck out to lay in the cool sand of a construction site next to our house. Arcadia is a small city that stretches along the main road for about a mile and a half or so. My house was on a hill at the end of the road, enabling me to clearly observe most of the city.

I enjoyed looking at the lights of the city in the cool night breeze, and as I sometimes did, I stood in the cool sand and looked down at the city lights. As I was doing this, I perceived that dogs were barking at the far edge of town. I didn’t think anything of it until I perceived that the barking was slowly getting louder and closer. This caused me to pay a little more attention and as I looked down at the city I saw a small patch of sky that was darker then the surrounding sky. As I watched, I perceived that this dark patch was maybe 300 feet above Main St, and coming straight at me moving slowly. I didn’t see any lights and couldn’t make out the shape until the thing was maybe 100 yards from my position. I began to hear a low “rum…rum…rum noise coming from it. As the road it was following ended at a “T” it turned instantaneously to its left and I could finally see its shape, it looked like a blimp, and maybe a third of the way up it had a row of very dim shimmery! round lights. It was somehow hard to see, yet I could clearly make out the shape. It moved on to my right until it went out of site behind a large hill. At that point I couldn’t hear it anymore.

I never saw it again, but it just occurred to me that maybe 2 years prior to this sighting, a saw a meteor fly over my house so low that we could hear a loud burning roar as it passed almost directly overhead. The shape I saw was going in roughly the same direction, no idea if they are connected.
