2 Fast flickering red and white objects/lights transiting in a nonlinear way from west to east.

As I went outside like most evenings to check on sky views for some stargazing, the skies were clear and star-filled albeit for a thin veneer of haziness towards the northwest.

I went up on my pool deck which is elevated approximately 10 feet off the ground which gives a better view through the bare branched trees. My gazing began looking up towards the zenith as I often begin in this manner to allow my peripheral vision to take in all directions anything that might draw my attention, e.g. shooting star, meteor activity and any anomaly.

Ten minutes into gazing and listening to the sounds of peepers in the wetland farm tract to the northwest, is when I noticed two red and white flickering objects out of the corner of my eye coming from my west (Lake Champlain/Cumberland Head, NY, transiting east.) I continued to watch these 2 points of red and white flickering objects and determined they couldn’t be small planes because there was no sound and they weren’t moving in a linear way but seemed to be buoyant and bobbing going slightly up and down and then hovering and circling one another as they did this heading slowly east. I could clearly see the flickering lights even through a slight haze-the distance I would guesstimate to be a mile maybe 2 from my deck. This continued on for several minutes roughly 15. The objects were just above the tree line not in the sky and to my eye they would have been near the shoreline by Pearl Bay by East Shore Rd.

I have seen these lights once before in the same vicinity during the last month of April but never paid too much notice, just made a mental note of their unusual flickering. It definitely got my attention last night almost to the point of nearly driving my car the short distance of a mile and a half to (the public beach) on East Shore North to observe more, but didn’t in the end.

I have observed this object or shimmering light manifest itself on several different occasions. This time I managed to capture it on video as it manifests itself in the sky between two yard lights across the river.....it would appear and then disappear. This took place several times over about a 3 hour time period. I managed to take a video each time, so I have a total of 4 each one being a different duration.

I also have some still pictures taken after it reappeared, as the sun was coming up.

Red circular lights in the sky over the Gulf of Mexico

On March the 15th I was working just off the coast of Grand Isle, LA, on a Production Platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Talking to my wife on my phone, and I noticed red circular lights in the sky, kinda like the lights from a projector from a casino. We are 10 mile offshore and there are no typre of projectors, boats, or platforms that could make these type of lights. It was dark outside and the time I first noticed the lights and when they disappeared was approximately 1 minute. I did not have time to take a picture or film them. I have never seen anything like this before. The light were going in a circular motion then disappeared. I never saw a craft of any type, just the lights. They were approximately 150 ft. off the water and only had the red lights, no color changes.

Triangular shaped craft seen on beach

I was on vacation camping on the beach in Grand Isle, LA. My husband, brother and I had only been there about a day.

My husband and I had been standing on the beach looking at the stars. I had walked back up to the truck to do something, leaving my husband by the water about 15 feet away.

Immediately after opening the truck door and sitting down, something caught my eye in the sky. Immediately I could not rationalize what it was. I immediately stood up, took of running down the beach screaming my husbands name and to look in the air.

My husband looked in the air and watched in amazement at what he saw. The object was pretty low and seemed like it floated through the air, not in a straight line. It was either one triangular shaped craft with 3 circular lights on the bottom of it, or 3 circular crafts flying in a triangular formation. Also, I heard no noise when it was overhead.

My brother was by the campfire about 20 feet away, my husband ran towards the camp yelling for him. By the time My brother made it to the beach it had moved across the horizon and dissapeared. And when I say dissapeared it was moving and then it was just gone. I have drawn a very rough picture on my paint program on my computer.

I cannot explain what I saw and neither can my husband. We stood there on that beach and watched the sky for the next couple of hours and seen nothing else in the sky that night.

A cluster of lights moved silently from north to south changing shape to a triangle, straight line and shallow arc of lights.

This is an addendum to my report filed 12/28/03. Due to the hurried nature of filing my online report I omitted a few items.

On December 28, 2003 at approximately 20:25 hours local, I took our dogs outside before going to bed for the evening. While coming out our door I noticed a tight cluster of lights with a strobe in the western sky. I went inside to get my 8x35 binoculars to have a closer look because this didn’t look like normal aircraft running lights.

While looking at the object I realized it was actually two tight clusters of light; a larger one on the left and a smaller one immediately to the right. The one on the right had the strobe. Initially I thought it was a military aircraft with a chase plane, but after watching it move, it appeared to be he same object, just illuminated on two different areas of the object.

The general direction of flight was north to south from my viewing position at approximately 20 - 30 degrees above the western horizon. There was very light haze outside, but not enough to obscure the stars and the moon. The object made no sound.

Because this aircraft was flying, it changed its position relative to my viewing position, therefore what I saw also changed. As it flew, the configuration of two clusters of lights changed to a triangular configuration, then to a straight line of three lights. A few minutes later it appeared to fly to the southwest and I am assuming directly away from me. The view of the lights at this time was 4 or 5 white to yellow-white lights forming a low angle arc. The lights strobed [flashed] from left to right. There was a haze or aura around it, but I dismissed this haze due to the general haze in the area. Still no sound was heard. No vapor trails were left. I observed it until the tree lined obscured viewing. The entire duration was ca.10 minutes. The temperature was 32 F, the barometer was 29.783, and the winds were ENE at 3 mph.

Our location is directly under the path for commercial aircraft flying to and from European destinations, These commercial flights are generally directly overhead flying at altitude. Most of these aircraft can be heard and most leave vapor trails. Occasionally we have helicopter traffic performing border patrol duty. The US/Canadian border is one mile away. The four nearest airports are; Edmundston, New Brunswick, Frenchville, Maine, St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Caribou, Maine. All are for private aircraft. The last aurora activity we had was November 2003. Loring Air Force Base is closed.

silent arch of pulsing lights.

At 20:25 I went outside to let let my dogs outside before going to bed. I looked up in the western sky and saw an unusual tight cluster of lights moving across the sky to the south. I got my 8x35 binoculars and observed a large cluster of lights and with a smaller cluster to its rear. The rear cluster had a strobe light. Initially I thought it was a military aircraft with a chase plane. As the craft continued south my view of it changed and it appeared to be triangular shaped as the view continued to change it was three lights in a straight row. The craft was making a gentle turn to the southwest the view changed to what I assumed was looking at it from the rear and it appear as an arch of 4-5 white to yellow-white lights strobing from left to right. No sounds were heard and no other aircraft were in the area. We see many commercial flights overhead going to and from Europe and this did not fit any of their running lights. I used to be a crewman in Army helicopters and it did not match anything close to a helicopter. The associated haze around it could be associated with a general haze over the area.

It was an extremely huge object, with greenish lights on the bottom, a dome shape on top and very low, flew over lake and house.

I am reporting events as told to me by several of the witnesses. This object was sighted by 5 people each watched for different lengths of time. My nephew was sitting in the living room and noticed an object over the lake that is over the lake, (Lake Champlain) It was large and was low over the the lake. The top appeared to be a light and below there were other lights. The bottom lights were possibly green according two witnesses. He watched the object come off the lake and fly very low and circle around the house. He could see the bottom of the object and it was like a white light. The bottom part was rotating where the lights were. They were kind of greenish. It disapeared out to the west. About 10 minutes later it reapeared in the front of the house kind of diagnally from it and just skimed a huge weeping willow tree that is out front near the driveway. Possibly 50 ft or so. Then it went back over the lake. He could see the object stop and hover over the lake for a few minutes. At this point a beam of light came out of the bottom of the object. it was a yellow white. It beamed down onto the lake. It went down and right back up. It came back at this point toward the house. About 50ft away it stopped. Came a little closer and then stopped. He was standing on the railing of the deck on the front of the house. It was about even with me in height. Then it moved straight up and quickly passed. At one point my sister started to watch it from the window My nephew went in to tell my mom. My sister saw several lights hovering over the bushes near the house across the street. Then it headed towards the house and then over. My mom came and looked out the window. She described it as very large, and she could see greenish lights on the bottom. She saw it over the lake and it just hovered there then started coming back towards the house. She called her neighbors who live across the street and the women said her daughter said she was watching a strange plane out the window. My other nephew who is 6 also saw it. My nephew said the was no noise from the object. My nephew said it look like a dome shape on top.

No one has had a chance to talk to the neighbors sense the incident.
